Name: Trevor
Race: Human
Text Color: purple/a187be
Special Skill: Fighting skills, most proficient with sword and spear. Tactical insight.
Ambition/Dream: Trevor lives in the here and now and doesn't have long-term dreams or ambitions. He just wants to live a quiet life far away from everyone.
Personality Traits: serious, distrusting towards those who aren't human, grumpy at times, loyal to friends, speaks his mind.
Childhood: Trevor grew up as a boy in the city with three siblings, one older brother, one younger brother and one younger sister. His father was a woodworker and he made toy weapons for his children, which Trevor often played with; his toy sword was his prized possession. Trevor and his siblings helped out in the workshop as well, learning to wield various blades safely. Trevor received an education at the local school, where he learned to read and write. As children do, Trevor got into fights, especially when someone picked on his younger siblings.
Adolescence/Training: Once Trevor was old enough, he joined the army of king Rosmund. He considered it a good way to help defend the people of the country who couldn't defend themselves against the Phospholites. He never complained during the hard training and used every moment he could to work on his skills. While it was clear archery wasn't his thing, he got better with both the sword and the spear quickly.
Adulthood/After Completing Training: Trevor participated in battles and became an officer. Soldiers considered him very strict, but he was never unjust and didn't ask from his soldiers what he wasn't willing to do himself. Trevor came close to being expelled from the army for disobedience a few times, but he had some higher officers who vouched for him; Trevor had a tendency to do what was needed and if that didn't follow the rule of the book or the direct order, so be it. Thankfully his results were what mattered to his direct superior.
After spending a few years of his life as an officer and after an especially bloody battle for the important trade hub, Trevor decided to quit. He returned home and built a small house in the forest. In a nearby city he could sell his skills as a mercenary and his knowledge of the woods as a guide, and where he could take advantage of the existence of taverns. While he enjoyed living by himself, he could spend hours in a tavern, listening to the latest news or bards, and look for potential customers. He had protected travellers against ogres and bugbears until he received a letter with the instruction to go to the monks on a distant island.
Notable Family: His parents and siblings live, and while he maintained a good relation with them, none play a big role in his current life.
Notable Figures: Andrus, a senior officer he served under and a good friend.
Character Themes: Strenght. Freedom. Loyalty.
Character Tragedy: The battles and people under his command dying left scars.
Character Flaws: not social, doesn't take orders from someone he doesn't know or trust, bigot towards not-humans (with some exceptions)
Hobbies: he keeps himself busy with taking care of his weapons or woodcarving.
Appearance: Short brown hair, clean shaved face. He wears leather armour and a green cloak.
