Current Despite what Joker 2 would have you believe, the REAL Joker works for Nintendo. Check mate, Batman!

Okay but like seriously though, let's not tell Nintendo about this... About what, you ask? Exactly!

Some games make you feel like a hero, and others make you feel like you're playing a tree in the school play.

Alright fine. I could have images for my projects hosted on-site, but you gotta promise me you won't go snooping in there. There might be spoilers, y'know?

Greetings visitor! I hope you're having a good day! Whether you've seen me around the guild or not, I should admit that it's only been within year-6 of my time on this site that I've bothered to start work on this here "bio". I feel like I should apologize for not making it a higher priority much sooner, but lately I've adopted that "better late than never" mindset when it comes to introductions, and besides, I doubt there was much to tell in my early years anyway. I'm pretty much an amateur writer who got my start as a minor tag-along player in a fandom AU campaign ran by a small, close-nit remnant of a community formerly in association with a notable strategy-gaming youtuber. I'm being vague for brevity's sake. In the end, I value my first exposure to roleplaying as a personal learning experience more than anything, as I'm definitely the kind of person that sequesters themselves in any given community they find themselves in and RPG is certainly no exception.

That pretty much explains what I've been up to for the last several or so years, with only occasional public posts from me, as private 1x1 roleplays are easily where the lion's share of my attention goes to. Details regarding my particular interests and even approach as a prospective partner can be found in the interest check I update very rarely, but if you'd like to have a link to it or want to work with me in a similar capacity, then PMs are the best way to reach me. As for what you can expect in very broad terms, I'll say that I'm a 90s kid who'd grown up on Nintendo and Cartoon Network where, thanks to Toonami, I've developed an appreciation for the Japanese style of animation, a style that commonly influences my own creative endeavors to this day. That is in no way to say that I'm an avid watcher of anime and the like (I have my tastes and while that does sometimes coincide with what's current, it usually doesn't), just that I gravitate toward the ludicrous, extraordinary concepts and settings they commonly facilitate. That style aligns with what excites me creatively. That's the long and short of it. Exceptions do exist of course.

I'll see my way to introducing Marcus either on Monday or Tuesday.
Viranti

With daylight yet running its course for the cycle, the young dragon was finding that locating food in the village would be a lot more trouble than he originally thought. It seems there is a distinct difference between unwanted and very edible vermin and someone's pet. At least that was the impression he got as an elderly lady picked up her dog from the ground and eyed him suspiciously as he walked by. Sure enough, he could sense the distrustful stares of the villagers, word of his "outburst" at the church having spread and people's conclusions were already being drawn. All in all, he thought it better that he realize he had no place here now, instead of while that old lady back there is screaming for help and pummeling him with a long broom or something.

Viranti was far from giving up on the quest, but at least for the night he'd retreat back out of the settlement. He wasn't expecting company but didn't feel in any position to turn anyone down should they want to join him for some reason. Sighing loudly upon remembering where he'd rather spend his first day as a free "man", he followed the trail out of Edivid, trudging along it until a sizable patch of forest came into view, intending to set up camp there.

She is I believe. She should be with everyone surrounding the fire pit.

Whether it was by Neric's at least partial intervention or not, Cecilia couldn't tell. But when James took her hand, a rush came over her and her voice broke slightly and daintily, like it had during the hike, although somewhat quieter. She was constantly mindful of how good it felt and the significance of what it meant, but decided to stay quiet, feeling as though anything she'd say wouldn't come out right and spoil the moment, of which she'd hoped was only the first of many. Although she didn't have James' jacket, it was like she didn't need it to feel warm. Gazing softly at him for several seconds, she noted how adorable he looked and decided to give his hand an affectionate squeeze before turning to the fire herself, a slight blissful smile on her face.

Cecilia smiled gently as James spoke. She was pretty anxious, but it was because she wanted to tell him something instead of any negative discomfort she may have felt being around him. She paused for a second, gulping subtly as she too looked to the flames, stealing a final moment to get her words together. It seemed like he said something else when he turned away, and she had a feeling she knew what it was, which made her blush a fair amount. "That's good to hear. And you didn't make me uncomfortable. In fact, when I said that I didn't mind holding hands, what I meant was... I don't- I wouldn't mind holding hands... if it's with you, James," she said softly, though in a way that he could pretty clearly hear. She felt quite exposed both literally and figuratively as she quickly glanced at the firepit. Should James look to her, he'll easily notice how embarrassed she is although, he may also tell by her warm expression that she meant it.
Apollo Nils
Location B - Feather Song Inn

The inn as it is now is quite different from what it was when the two brothers first arrived. The wear and tear that comes with many years of service, would make any establishment quite the subject for refurbishment and renovation for any knew owner. However, the task was compounded by the previous owners, for whatever reason, neglecting the fair maintenance due to the potentially very important enterprise. As Apollo commonly tells Roland to justify his over-exuberant cleaning, a tidy and presentable inn can greatly affect how people feel about the rest of Hope Valley, going so far as to say that the constant upkeep can go a long way towards influencing people's expectations for the better. Of course, Roland would have been satisfied with a simple "Cleaning is very important", but always liked hearing about his big brother's interests, even if they can be a tad boring. What is more, he could never argue with the results, which were largely due to his brother. No longer did the institution suffer from all cobwebs, the wood rot and the worn paint (just to name a few things) that plagued it in years past. What is more, what the inn lost in dust and refuse, it now more than made up for in a much needed renovation to one of its most deteriorated upstairs residential living rooms.

"Now, are you certain you haven't forgotten anything?" Apollo inquired as he looked down to his youngest brother, who was fitting his backpack over his shoulders.

"Yeah, I'm sure," was the simple response, the boy adjusting his yellow rimmed glasses as he walked a few steps backward towards the door of the lobby. "... Do we know when Marcus will be here?"

"Unsure. He just said it would be today, but knowing him, even if he did mention exactly when, he'd probably show up hours after that," the snappily dressed proprietor answered in an unaffected manner, crossing his arms as he wasn't about to prolong sending Roland to school. "You best head to school. You'll have your chance to greet him when he arrives. For now though, you'll be late if you don't hurry." As the little boy opened the door, Apollo added: "And don't forget to be wary of strangers. Go straight to school."

Roland nodded compliantly, taking a moment to say goodbye, to which Apollo waved back simply. Both the inn and the school were nearby, so there was at least some consolation, in the innkeeper's opinion, in sending his brother to school alone. Apollo, made his way back to his responsibilities, but should his presence be needed, there was a table bell at the front reception desk that anyone can ring to get his attention.

Sorry about the wait. I'll be taking care of another post that I was putting off and I'll get back to you.

Cecilia was surprised that James' mood seemed to cheer up. It sounded like he blamed himself for some reason, even though she was the one that overreacted and gave him space while she collected her thoughts. Upon being offered a seat, she hesitated for a second, still anxious about potentially doing somethings so careless to him again. But she ultimately did sit beside him, smiling shyly as she contemplated what to say in between looking at him and the fire. "I'm sorry for leaving you like I did. I didn't mean to give the wrong impression, I... needed time to think," she peered at the fire, hoping he would understand, but willing to say more should he inquire.

A very long minute passed, Cecilia huddling in her seat as her mind raced. Someone had to start the story soon, and she reasoned she might as well be her. Once her turn is out of the way, she needn't necessarily worry about being called on out of the blue later. "Um..." she spoke up while raising her hand a little to get some attention. She wasn't a born storyteller, especially in regards to a story made up on the fly. But there was something about being the center of attention and not being sure what to say that terrified her into getting the job done quickly. "Th-There once was a... wandering minstrel who played his mandolin(?) at every town and village he visited. One cloudy day however, he came across a..." She stopped there, assuming that that was where someone else had to step in with the next part of the story. It may have been more expedient to choose the next participant herself, but instead she ended with: "Um does anyone else want to go next?

@LiegeLord
With the figurative ball passed on to the others, Cecilia knew she couldn't wait any longer, so she got out of her seat. While walking tentatively back to James, she slowly began to notice a measure of his grieved demeanor. Her heart sank seeing him like this, feeling like she had caused this. She had said she wanted to be someone he could count on, and instead she ran away from him and her feelings. From where she stood, it looked like all in all, he really would be better off without her. "James?" she spoke up meekly, a regretful look on her face. "I'm... s-sorry for earlier. I guess I've made a mess of things again... I-If you rather I leave you alone, I'll understand..." Hearing herself say those words hurt in a poignant way, unsure what James would say in response, but determined to listen and follow at any rate.
@KatherinWinter
You don't have to. I could do it. These relay stories can go in a bunch of different directions anyway.
