Current Despite what Joker 2 would have you believe, the REAL Joker works for Nintendo. Check mate, Batman!

Okay but like seriously though, let's not tell Nintendo about this... About what, you ask? Exactly!

Some games make you feel like a hero, and others make you feel like you're playing a tree in the school play.

Alright fine. I could have images for my projects hosted on-site, but you gotta promise me you won't go snooping in there. There might be spoilers, y'know?

Greetings visitor! I hope you're having a good day! Whether you've seen me around the guild or not, I should admit that it's only been within year-6 of my time on this site that I've bothered to start work on this here "bio". I feel like I should apologize for not making it a higher priority much sooner, but lately I've adopted that "better late than never" mindset when it comes to introductions, and besides, I doubt there was much to tell in my early years anyway. I'm pretty much an amateur writer who got my start as a minor tag-along player in a fandom AU campaign ran by a small, close-nit remnant of a community formerly in association with a notable strategy-gaming youtuber. I'm being vague for brevity's sake. In the end, I value my first exposure to roleplaying as a personal learning experience more than anything, as I'm definitely the kind of person that sequesters themselves in any given community they find themselves in and RPG is certainly no exception.

That pretty much explains what I've been up to for the last several or so years, with only occasional public posts from me, as private 1x1 roleplays are easily where the lion's share of my attention goes to. Details regarding my particular interests and even approach as a prospective partner can be found in the interest check I update very rarely, but if you'd like to have a link to it or want to work with me in a similar capacity, then PMs are the best way to reach me. As for what you can expect in very broad terms, I'll say that I'm a 90s kid who'd grown up on Nintendo and Cartoon Network where, thanks to Toonami, I've developed an appreciation for the Japanese style of animation, a style that commonly influences my own creative endeavors to this day. That is in no way to say that I'm an avid watcher of anime and the like (I have my tastes and while that does sometimes coincide with what's current, it usually doesn't), just that I gravitate toward the ludicrous, extraordinary concepts and settings they commonly facilitate. That style aligns with what excites me creatively. That's the long and short of it. Exceptions do exist of course.

Late again it seems, sorry about that. This is just not my week. I decided to just post something already instead of prolonging further. XD
Varen

"Huh... so you did..." Varen spoke up, believing the he'd at least have time for another strike before the Warchief recovered. He could only watch as the red player flung his silencing spear at Akemi, disabling her much like Athel before. "You know... since you're so powerful, have you thought of how embarrassing it would be for us if you just stood there and let us futilely wail on you for a few minutes? No?..." the spear wielder offered lightly, although a little tensely. The strategy of banter and keeping the enemy distracted certainly wasn't working as well with members of <<Laughing Coffin>> as it had with previous players he had fought, but it wasn't just a switch he could turn on or off. Plus it helped to keep his mouth busy while he thought of what to do next. But it wasn't like he had to think for very long, as, after a few blocks from his spear, Ares rushed passed him, closing in on Akemi, or was it Azumi... I'm not too sure. Anyway, Varen immediately followed suit after her-would be attacker. "YO! Don't you go ignoring me now!" he called out, swinging his spear into a <Spear Sweep>, the arcing reach of which preferably being enough to catch and even stun the assailant. If the move was enough to halt and indeed confound Ares, Varen would then attempt to take the opportunity to strike once again with <Day Breaker> at the Pker's torso.

Cecilia savored watching the other campers try their hand at climbing the wall. There might have been a participant here and there who looked as though they were having trouble, but they soon managed to also reach the top, each a delightful turn of events. She smiled warmly; if she could make it, anyone could. James' commendation meant a lot to her, and although she wanted to say that however well she did, he took to the activity much better, she got the impression he didn't want to hear her depreciate her accomplishment or sell herself short. "Thanks James. I kinda surprised myself," she responded graciously, her cheeks a little red. "I kind of wonder whether or not there's another stage after this that we'll have to climb." As she mentioned this, Neric seemed to rest at their feet, James then mentioning one of the Void's anecdotes from before. "Oh yeah, he mentioned something about climbing an icy wall during the Cold War. Maybe that's it." It wasn't a guarantee that the two instances were one and the same, but it seemed interesting enough to mention. After giving Neric a warm look, she moved a bit closer to James, letting her full arm curl down his. Her eyes softened, content to spectate along with him.
Viranti

Viranti's entry into the Agni was far from graceful, him pretty much making the dazzling journey through the magical tunnel head first. "-Acck!" He burst forth out of the portal, forcefully crashing to the floor in a loud thud with his legs dangling back over him for a good second, a less than dignified manner of falling that his people had colloquially refereed to for generations as a scorpion fall. His legs slumping onto the vibrant blades that met his fall, he laid there on his front with his head turning to appreciate the firm ground, sort of hugging it with the way he was sprawled. He wasn't angered as much as he was disturbingly bewildered. How is such a mode of travel possible - doors and gateways facilitating networks among worlds, passageways of light that can near instantaneously bridge distances that would have possibly taken years to traverse conventionally (conventional to him anyway)? What of the red tunnel itself? Are they a plain or world in itself, not bound to the realms that they conjoin?

He hadn't stopped to fully contemplate the existence of entities and domains beyond his attention and even perception that nonetheless influence the lives of all living things, the definition of which itself will need a reevaluation since his arrival at Edivid. Indeed, it seems that he's jumped headlong into the world of extreme possibility, of realities that would have to be seen to be believed and many of which herald a real underlying uncertainty as to his own fate, perhaps the fate of many. And now would be almost no different, he was actually feeling fairly sick from the trip, as though he had left his stomach back at the village. He imagined that him casually walking through the portal as everyone else seemed to wouldn't have made a real difference in the matter.

Lifting his upper torso and shaking his head vigorously prior to fully getting to his feet, Viranti eyed the landscape, noting the signs of a city beyond a lake as the Oracle had directed. What caught his attention however was the airship, a floating bulbous fortress he would think, should he get a good look at it. "What is that thing?..." he thought aloud, getting the sense that it wasn't necessarily a major threat if everyone acted like it was a common sight. Should he hazard a guess, he'd simply assume it was by magic that such a construction could hope to stay aloft without wings. At any rate, however long the trek may feel after just being transported, the grounded dragon wasn't about to complain about a bit of traveling after what he experienced.

Although she was running largely on adrenaline throughout her turn, Cecilia did appreciate James' vote of confidence. She didn't turn to him, too focused on the task at hand to work up a response. But it it felt good to know he was in her corner as well as knowing Neric was overseeing her progress from higher along the cable. Standing up on the wall, she made sure to nod appreciatively to the nebulous Void, out of breath largely because of how excited she was for making it and how eager she was to get back down, especially after she had looked down from the top (which was a mistake in her opinion). Making it down on ground level, she looked up at James, her composure returning to her and a smile growing on her face. "R-Really? C-Cause it felt a lot longer from where I was," she spoke lightly, still a little restless. "But you were really amazing too...! And Neric? Thanks for looking after us," She spoke out to the two before taking James' hand when he offered. She was greatly relieved, her expression being evident enough of that. But her hand shook a tad, it would be a few moments more until she'd settle down.

Cecilia gazed at the wall, feeling more emboldened with each and every successful pass at it. James would be next to tackle it, and she wanted to let him know she was supporting him. So before he started his advance up the structure, she would call to him: "You got this. I know you can do it," she said with certainty, her hands clasped together as she watched his ascent closely. Much to her delight, James, along with Neric's oversight, handily made it to the top, then returning to terra firma in a matter of minutes. "I knew you could do it..." she'd say quietly, her attention drawing again to the wall, which looked taller from where she was standing while getting hooked up to the line. Now she had only herself to worry about, and after all the runs she'd seen by everyone, she'd wouldn't be satisfied unless she made it to the top herself.

Kyle, during his turn, seemed to study the wall, likely planning a course in his head. It certainly made for a sensible plan, so Cecilia decided to do the same, peering from hand-hold to hand-hold, all the way to the top. Elbow and knee pads where they should be. Helmet in order. Line was secured, even after the third time she checked. Soon she didn't have anything left to prolong her climb, and, after a deep breath or two, she began her own ascent. Soon forming a good rhythm, guiding her way with her hands and using her legs to lift herself upward. She may have had to remind herself more than once not to look down, but her pace was steady and with a surprised grasp of her hand, she had reached the top, taking a moment to admire the view (which sounded like a good idea at the time) before quietly being lowered down. She was both relieved that she had made it, and anxious to have her turn over with as soon as possible. After being unhooked from the line, she lingered a bit by the wall's base, calming herself down and breathing a little easier, at least for now.
@KatherinWinter
No problem. :)
@KatherinWinter
Sorry to bother you, but I couldn't help but notice you mentioning both [Blueflame] and [grandia20] in your last post. It's not a big deal, but I believe they did say they had to drop out. Again, it's fine. But if you could take their names out next time, I'm sure they'd appreciate it. :)
Ah don't worry about it. I'll get on something in a few days if that's cool.

"Not at all Neric. Go right ahead," Cecilia pleasantly said as the Void which flew from James to her shoulder settled in. She was so preoccupied with the activity on her mind, that she forgot to pet Neric for a second, getting right to it when he spoke up again, her hand stroking down his wings. "Really? I guess this wall doesn't look like much after something like that. Still, don't be afraid to help James up if he runs into trouble up there," Cecilia chuckled, very much joking, lightly scratching around his chin. Cecilia passively looked over to Kyle, who seems to be going up first, believing she should at least say something while she had the chance. "You can do it Kyle!" she called loud enough for him to hear her.
