Current "Doing your best" does not mean working yourself to the point of a mental breakdown. Its no longer your best at that point.

the bad thing about being bullied is that every time it happens it steals a little piece of who you are if it happens enough little by little you become a little less of who you were meant to be.

Talon shook his head, looking away, across the water of the lake as she grabbed his other hand. There didn't seem to be a way that he could stop her. "It will still be my fault." he said softly. It always was, one way or another. They'd think the whole thing was his fault. He went to say something else, but then she reached up and his hands once more clenched into fists- his stomach did a quick flip-flop, but he tried to keep his reaction to a minimum as it became clear that she wasn't going to hit him. His heart still sped up, his breathing rapid, and he closed his eyes tightly once more.

She spoke of pain. It didn't really matter to him, pain was just that. Pain. He'd long grown accustomed to it, and his body, tense... He shook his head, and tried to keep his voice steady as he said softly "I'm use to taking a hit." his voice might have quivered, but he didn't notice, looking back out over the water. He didn't know why she was doing this, what she wanted... and he couldn't help but wonder what was going, what she might do to him.

What any of them might do to him.

"Thank you... I... " but what else could he say? There really wasn't anything else to say, and he sighed. I'm alright." he was probably still a mess, but he didn't really care. He didn't want to go back to the cabin, What would be the point?

Pierre shrugged, reaching up to rub at the back of his neck sheepisly, "Just thinking about things." he said softly, hesitating, gaze goign to the Idol when she seemed to look to her, suddenly wishing more than anything he hadn't grabbed the thing. There wasn't anyway to change what had happened... "It's been a bit of a day... " He flicked a glance to Corona, "You could start with Prince. He's small. And gently." He offered, giving a small shrug, "He's good with Adeline" He hesitated, glancing back to the idol, "I shouldn't have grabbed it... everyone else was distracted and I just... snatched it up."

What was he even meant to do with it? He'd have to at least make a show of defending his 'title' next time the course happened. He pushed those thoughts out his mind- or at least to the back of it- before he could get distracted again. What was Corona talking about? He listened to the words, frowning slightly. A project? But why did she wish to hide it from everyone? He watched her a moment as she spoke, thoughtful.

"Well, I'm not likely to tell anyone." He said, although he was certain people would ask him why he'd grabbed the idol, or just talk about it... He was generally good at keep things that shouldn't be spoken off secret. Except with Adeline... she always seemed to know when he was lying. "I won't tell anyone."

Michael watched everyone slowly leaving the stands and the tower grounds, sitting back down- unable to help but still fell self-conscious about his outburst. Moe rested his big head on one of Michael's knees, and he lay a hand on the big dogs head, scratching him behind the ear just like he liked. "I... I d-don't k-know w-wuh-whats g-going on." He said softly to the dog, who just gave him a doggy grin. Michael watched the other campers, deep in thought.

A quest like this... MIchael was certain nothing good could come of it, even if... no, when... Erin completed it, found the dove... Michael was certain that it wouldn't be the victory everyone seemed to think it was. Well, there wasn't much he could do- Erin was better of with the otehrs who had already gone aster her. It wasn't like he could add anything to it... just be another person for her to deal with.

Rising when just about everyone had left the stands, Michael led Moe down them, the big dog happily trotting along. He should find Niesha, but a quick glance around showed her no where near, and he stopped at the bottom of the stairs. His gaze found Adelaine's form, alone. No doubt Greyson had gone to deal with Erin- try to help her. Michael hesitated a moment or two before continuing towards her.

"Adeline? A-are y-y-you okay?"

Kalinda flicked a glance to Zane, somewhat relieved that he was letting them be- and glad someone was going to be watching over Octavia. Her attention turned back to Vivian, and she looked her sister over again. A vision that ended up with her falling, unconscious? She was worried about it. She wasn't going to push Vivian, but that didn't mean she wasn't going to worry. Interrupted, her gaze went to Arthur as he spoke to Vivian. A little annoyed, Kalinda brought her gaze back to her sister. She seemed alright...

As she spoke more of her vision, Kalinda's worry only grew. It seemed like such an odd vision... what had been happening when Vivian saw it, when she collapsed? Hesitating, she reached out to Vivian, laying a hand over her sisters. "I'm not sure Viv... it seems such a strange vision... perhaps I ought to do a thorough check over, just to make sure." her sister might be peppy and bright, beautiful- everything Kalinda wasn't, but that didn't mean she didn't care about her.

Her seeing the vision, collapsing like that... it wouldn't have happened for no reason, and Kalinda wasn't about ot miss something ad then have Vivian die on her. As Zane spoke with Octavia, she couldn't help but feel a little guilty. She should be helping her... but Vivian... She shifting slightly. "I could just do a general healing, but I want to make sure everything is okay."

She... she wasnt mad. Talon easnt sure why she wasn't... everyone else seemed to be... He flicked a glance to Valeria, grimacing slightly as he saw her pick up the stone he had dropped, his blood on it. He knew he was a mess- he simply didn't care. It wasn't as if it truly mattered, anyway. Valeria seemed to be... niave. He sighed softly as she spoke, not even sure how to respond to her. He had tried... for a few minutes, things had been okay. He wasn't even sure how. It had just been skipping rocks... she'd been having fun- he could see that and he... he sighed. "For ruining the...the moment, I guess." he started to say, before she reached out to take his hand.

Talon flinched as she touched him, for one brief moment closing his eyes tight, waiting for a blow that didn't come. Was she messing with him, playing some sort of joke? Talon opened his eyes slowly. She... she hadn't gone to hit him? Unnerved, Talon struggled for a moment to figure out what was going on. Her touch was gentle, and it baffled him. Why.... what... he was so confused. Why was she helping him, what did she want?

As he brought his troubled gaze to her, Talon shuddered. She... she didn't appear to want anything more than to see him healed... it was... he couldn't fathom it... everyone wanted something. Except she seemed genuinely pleased to have healed him. "W-why?"

Kalinda had no doubt that even the Morpheus kids would wake at Vivian's screaming, but it was apart of what made Vivian, well, Vivian. "I'd say inside vocie, but well... it's okay." she said, in that still lighter like tone, and it was clear Kalinda was, even slightly, different with her siblings, or at least, with Vivian. Vivian was just so... you couldn't help but like her. She shifted so she could watch her sister with a bit more ease, listening as she spoke.

Was the intensity of Vivian's vision anything to do with what had happened with Erin? Kalinda hadn't really thought about it too much- she'd been too focused on getting Octavia healed to really listen to the annoucement that Dionysus and Chiron had made. She was, however, certain that it was all bullshit. And she knew that if they could have, Dionysus and Chiron would have put a stop to it. They were both, however, limited in what they could do. It didn't mean that they wouldn't try their best to protect Erin, and the rest of the camp, from the wrath of any of the other Gods.

She shook her head slightly, as if doing so could wipe her brain of any other distracting thoughts like an etch-a-sketch, and brought her attention back to Vivian. It would be a massive coincidence if her vision wasn't connected to the annoucement, the quest. "Visions are never easy- and they shouldn't be, are you hurt anywhere?" she asked, flicking a glance to Zane and back to Vivian, not wanting to force Vivian to share the details of the vision if she didn't wish to. "How bad was it?"

Pierre

Pierre still wasn't sure if it had been a mistake or not to take advantage of the others distraction. Would people think it was just a fluke, or would they see him as a real challenge? Not that he thought there should be such rivially between the campers- oh, there were the competitions, but in reality, they had to have each others backs. Especially against their parents. If today had proven anything, it proved that their Godly parents would use them as pawns, in one way or another. Pierre looked down at the idol, letting his mind drift- it was often good at that, dealing with the many thoughts his distracted brain could pick up throughout a short time.

Erin. Not exactly a friend, but also not exactly just aquantences. Despite the lack of genetic DNA, they were family. Pierre let the idol fall back to his side, still a little perturbed by the fact he had won. It was going to come back and bite him in the ass, he knew it. He had no doubt that one of the others would try and throw a party for his winni- His body reacted before he could even think, stepping to the side, turning slightly so that he didn't hit Brynn or Corona as he nearly walked into them, his body having just slipped into auto-piloit as his mind travelled in several directions at once.

"Oh, Brynn, Corona-, je suis désolé - je ne regardais pas où j'allais" His brain automatically went to his native language, not entirely certain Corona could speak French, his mind , "I-sorry. I should watch where I'm going. Are you guys okay?"

Kalinda's gaze moved over to her sister, laying in one of the beds. She sighed softly, certain that she knew what was wrong. Vivian was bright, whereas Kalinda herself just... wasn't. An oddity amoung what people viewed Apollo kids to be like. Well, Kalinda had gone through shit in her small existance. People could just fucking get over it. Her gaze went over Vivan's form. A vision, then. A more extended one then she normally got. "Here." With barely any concern, or second thought, Kalinda plopped Chaos in Octavia's lap. "Watch the fuzzy tube sock, she'll just get in the way." Not waiting for a response, Kalinda moved over to her sisters bed.

"Don't be sorry, pretty sure Dad's had his ass kicked a few times. We get hurt just like everyone else, Viv." She said as she looked her sister over. "What happened?" She asked softly, flicking a glance at Zane, before she once more looked to Vivian. She watched her, gaze looking for any injuries or anything serious.

She stepped aside to grab a jug of water and a cup, pouring some into the cup and setting it down where Vivian could reach it, and sitting on the end of the bed. "I've got her Zane, but perhaps you could see what you can do for Octavia? Make sure she hasn't strangled the fuzzball." she said, in a some what lighter tone, perhaps even joking.

"Perhaps Pierre or Adeline could knock her out... and then wake her up again when they're outside of camp." Niesha mused, although she wasn't being serious. It didn't seem to matter- Samuel's thoughts seemed to have been a mess of distraction. It was so damn easy to get distracted. Niesha shifted, watching- waiting for him to come back to the present. It was easier to wait, then try to get his attention again. She didn't really had anything to complain about- he was good to watch.

Did they all look like that when they got distracted? Answering their own thoughts, and expecting everyone to know what was going on in their heads? It wasn't just a blank expression- no, Samuel's face seemed to flitter from thought to thought, and Niesha had to wonder what he was thinking of. The image of someone trying to drag Erin out? Perhaps.

She smiled as he came back to the conversation at hand, and the task they had set off to do. Samuel was... warm. There really was no other way to describe him as he pulled her closer- he was warm. Not merely physically- oh, he could be a bit of an idiot, but... she was more then certain he'd give someone the shirt off his own back if they needed. He made the move seem so natural, and Niesha let herself move with his guidance as they moved towards the cabins.

However as they neared Cabin nine, she couldn't help but frown. He had said cat, hadn't he? "You don't?"

Talon closed his eyes, his hands still curled into fists, and he bit the inside of his cheek, waiting, wanting her to leave, to go away, to take alway the ruined atmosphere. It was too late, he knew that. She had ruined the few moments of peace he had managed to scrape when skipping stones. And now... Talon sighed heavily, opening his eyes, he looked away from Valeria- not wanting to see any negativity there, any hatred or fear. He swallowed around a dry throat, his lip beginning ot bleed again at motion.

"I... " there wasn't really anything he could say. The few moments had been destroyed, and Talon doubted there'd be a way to get them back. He slumped slightly, hands uncurling- blood on his finger tips, his ruined nails glistening with the scarlet fluid. He didn't care. It didn't matter. Nothing did. Nothing could matter, if it did, it hurt too much.

"I... I'm sorry... I'll leave." He said softly to Valeria.

Michael

Michael wasn't fussed one bit by Prince stealing a bit of his magic- it was, after all, all around them. He'd get it back, and it made Prince happy. He did however blush at Enma's comment, and shifted a little awkwardly. Prince's display just seemed to cement the colour on his cheeks. "Not that Prince isn't satisified making me flustered." He said, shifting again- almost squirming, before sighing. "I don't know. Things are.... unsettled in the Spirit realm." He said softly, and his gaze shifted to Cailyn. It might have been joking, but it hurt him, and Micahel shifted, seeming to almost shrink in on himself.

He ducked his head, lowering his eyes to the floor, troubled. There wasn't simply anyway to explain what was happening in the spirit world, what they'd been trying to fix, trying to make better. Gabriel... he was better at this sort of thing. He sighed,

He was sorely tempted to go back to his room. Instead, he drew in a deep breath, and reaching for a glass of water.

Penny

Penny looked over to Trinity, gave her a smile, "That's good, I'll have to come by" She said, shifting slightly with Faith in her arms, glancing over the crowd, before turning back to Sasha. Ignatius shifted from one shoulder to the other, warily looking down at Faith. She cast a glance to Nolan, managing a smile- she well knew that they were nothing but guild mates, but she didn't mind. Penny's little family had grown... From Sasha, to Karn... Jasmine.. She needed to find her. . She sighed softly, "Thanks, Nolan." She shifted, looking back to Sasha as she spoke "She'd love that. Of course, you might not get rid of her... she'll dance until she flops." Her sister said with a soft laugh.

The toddler in her arms waved in excitement as she seemed to look from everyone, and everything and back again. Faith reached up as if to grab at Ignatius's tail and the Exceed took to the air, and for one moment, Penny was sure she heard him mutter "Worse then Rajeh." she couldn't help but chuckle, before turning her attention back to her sister. She had just enough time to hand Faith back into Sasha's laughing arms as Jasmine- speak of a devil- launched herself at her.

Her arms went around the younger girl, and held her close, letting out a relieved breath. "Shhh" She said softly, "It's okay." She closed her own eyes and for one brief moemnt, she let herself relax, before opening her eyes again, and planting a quick kiss on the top of Jasmine's head. "We can share stories soon." She promised, but didn't let Jasmine go, even as the younger girl tried to hide behind her.

For a few moments, Penny felt more at home then she ever had before, letting her gaze move to Damien, and the others as the song took over the guild hall. Unsurprised when Rajeh was soon being ejected from the hall. Laughter bubbled up, and Penny simply couldn't hide it as the soft music tinkled through the guild hall. She further desolved into helpless laughter as Ignatius, grumbled, went to stop what she was sure was going to be a temper tantrum from Rajeh.

It was good to be home.

Jamie

Jamie shifted, looking to Jack as he came in. "We always seem to have such interesting conversations." She said, before letting her attention move back to Priscilla, giving her another smile. "It's perfectly fine, I was tidying up a few matters myself." She said, rising to go over to a cupboard that held supplies for coffee and tea, "Can I interest you in hot drink, or perhaps something cold?"

She couldn't help the chuckle that escaped her at Priscilla's words, "It's easier, for me. Jarvis does a lot of the work as well- although I'm better at the diplomacy of it all, I suppose." She said, thoughtfully, "We are always here to help, however. Starting and maintaining a guild is daunting, but I wouldn't ever change it. It is worthwhile." Her gaze flicked tot he lacrima, amused. "And then there are times where you might not know whats going on, but then you look over your members and... it doesn't matter. It's worth it. Some of our S-class members have made their way home for a time, it seems."

She watched the lacrima for a minute, before she turned back to the other two, "I think this is it"

Talon watched her, his gaze serious as he checked how she was holding the rock. It was such a simple thing, skipping rocks... it wasn't anything to hard. but she seemed to take joy in it. As her stone whipped across the water, she gained such happiness from it. There really wasn't any reason to take that joy away, and he returned her smile, giving a shrug. "Not everyone is so willing to learn." He said softly, but was interrupted as someone approached them.

Stiffening, Talon didn't turn. What could have possible swayed her to think that this was a good idea? He let the rock he held slip from his fingers, any good will he had disappearing, and he doubted it would be so simple to find it again. Why couldn't he have just been left alone? For a few moments, things had seemed okay. Like he wasn't being crushed by the anger, or by the melancholy that often plagued him.

It had just been skipping rocks, now... even that was tainted. "The thing about assholes." He said softly, "Is they often don't realise they are being assholes. If something hurts, it isn't friendly competition.." He'd been okay for all of a few moments. That happened less and less lately. It wasn't much of an apology- even if it had been meant to be one. Sorry you took it serious, but it was just a bit of fun. is what it seemed to him. "I know I'm an asshole, but at least I admit it."

He turned, sparing Brownyn a glance. He stared at her, as if daring her to say something else. "Is that all you wanted to say?" He sighed heavily, just wanting those few minutes of peace back. His nails dug into the palms of his hands again, bringing about fresh blood to drip slowly onto the ground.

Niesha merely watched Sam, not certain if he was laughing at her or not. She wasn't sure... but she supposed it didn't matter. "It looks like it... I'm not sure what they think they can do... Not like we can force Erin to go on the quest." perhaps they could help though, although she doubted they'd get far without Erin. Her gaze followed the others as some of them went to Erin- soon out of sight. Troubled, Niesha let her gaze move to the Owlet as it soared overhead. Snow circled above once, twice, and then aimed back towards the cabin. Perhaps the owl just wanted to let her know she was there.

Niesha turned his attention back to Sam, a little amused. "Sure" She said, although she was certain that cabin Nine was the hephaestus cabin, but decided not to say anything. She could be wrong- it wouldn't be the first time. SHe didn't really go to other cabins, so it was possible.

"I don't mind.... games are life."

Niesha wasn't even sure if it was guilty until proven innocent. This was more... more like manipulation. Her gaze shifted to the sky, towards Mount Olympus, as if she could see it. This was... Who would want to move against Hades, Guardian of the dead? She sighed softly, there were too many questions, not enough answers. She doubted, however, that Hades would stand aside and let Erin be killed if it came to that- and therefore, a war would be started. Was that what they wanted, a war?

Even if Hades stood aside, let it happen... she doubted the other campers would just stand aside. Either way, if Erin failed, it would mean war. Of that, Niesha was certain. "Yeah. That's how the saying goes. I don't think it ever works that way though. Somehow, one way or another... you lose something. Are we going to lose a fellow camper, someone that's one of us? Maybe. If- no, when she succeeds... I don't think anything will be the same again. Were we foolish, to think that history wouldn't repeat itself? Or just blind to the possibility?" she realised she was thinking out loud, using Sam as a sounding board.

She shook her head, sighing once more, before she gave him another smile. He was genuinely unique, and just genuine all round. It was hard not to respond to his laugher, with anything but joy in return. "Not so much that I could tell... just I've had a lot of practice reading people. Michael is is a silent thinker too." She said, giving a small shrug, "But if people want to think its mystic power, I won't stop them." Her tone bright, playful, quite clearly an attempt at a joke.

Valeria seemed troubled- but then, who wasn't at this camp? He picked up another stone thoughtfully. He didn't think... hadn't thought... that she'd be one to take her anger out on inantimate objects. Not like him. Wathced her as she gathered rocks, Talon absently picked up another rock, running his thumb over the smooth surface of it- and the one rough edge. He watched as she tried to immiate what he had done, but the rocks she had gathered... but none of them were really suited to skipping stones.

He watched her throw it, watched as it skipped once or twice, before sinking. It was a fair effort, but not the best. "It works best with a smooth stone, not to big, not too light." he said, casting about for another stone, picking it on, letting his thumb run over it, satisfied with it. He held it out to her, and when she took it, he turned back to the lake.

"You have to hold it just right. Middle finger and thumb pinching it, with your index along the edge of it." He shook his head, shifting into the right stance again, middle finger and thumb once more gripping it before he threw the stone, not too hard- this was one thing you couldn't do in anger. Ironic, really. Skipping stones was peaceful, and it couldn't be done properly in anger. You needed to be calm, collected, and throw it just right.

His stone skipped across the surface, the Wha-omp of the stone hitting water, in a sound rhythm, was almost relaxing. "And then you just... throw it, in a whip like motion. It needs a bit of force, but you can't throw it with everything you have. It just needs enough of a throw to get it going." He explained softly, watching the stone until it lost its momentum.

The Ares children- most of them at least- were always a pain in the ass to deal with when healing. And they all, one way or another, succumbed to the anger. It could be days, weeks, months, but eventually... the anger washed over them. Why must they hit hard objects? Why must they make her job that much harder? It wasn't going to change, but for fuck sake, why couldn't they just smash something that wasn't quite so fucking hard. And Octovia had a way of making it seem like it was Kalinda's fault that she was hurt, and having to be subject to treatment.

Well, Kalinda wasn't weak. She wouldn't back down, meeting Octavia's gaze, her own gaze just over everything. The other girl didn't even give her a chance to suggest going somewhere else, marching off towards the infirmary. Well, so be it. Kalinda shifted, checking on Chaos but the ferret didn't seem too phased about her hasty drop into her jacket pocket.

She followed after Octavia, shaking her head slightly, already preparing a mental list of what she'd need to do. She'd have to pay the piper, so to speak. She hated forming hymns, you had to be careful. And she still maintained that Apollo had them doing hymns for his own amusement.

She moved over to a sink when she reached the Infirmary, waving a hand for Octavia to sit on one of the unoccupied beds. Washing her hands thoroughly, she dried them carefully, putting gloves on- and in seconds had gathered a few supplies."I can probably deal with any injured bones, and depending on how much you have hurt everything else... well, we shall see what I can do."

His silence, the brief few moments of peace around him, the gentle sound of the lake on it's banks was broken as a rock shattered the serenity. The ripples it made across the water turned the slight, calming sound of the water hitting the banks into something a bit more violent. It was foolish to have thought it might be Elias... or even Octavia, but Talon still glanced around. He sighed, looking away as he saw Valeria.

He didn't know why he had thought- had even hoped for one tiny second... He shook his head. Who kicked rocks into the lake? What was the point of that? Just to watch it sink? Like he had been contemplating for himself... He sighed again, pushing out of his crouch. His body hurt, but he didn't care. He was sure that he was a mess of blood, cuts, bruises and more- what he saw from his reflection in the lake didn't look pretty.

But he didn't care.

He watched Valeria as she bent to pick up more stones. To throw? You didn't throw rocks into the water. You skipped rocks. "You're doing it wrong." Words slightly muffled around a split lip, Talon picked up a smooth stone. It was just about perfect, mostly flat, smooth and comfortable in the size of his hand. He held it, so that his thumb and middle finger were gripping it in a pincher like grip, his inder finger hooked around the edge. Standing up straight, he shifted slightly so that he was on a slight angle to the water. He waited a heart beat or two before he threw the stone out, and down towards the water with a fair bit of force- for speed.

The stone bounced across the surface of the lake, a statisfying slap like sound seeming to echo over the lake as the stone skipped the surface. "Throwing stones just has a chance of pissing off whatever creatures are in the lake. Skipping, less chance of pissing a creature off by hiting it."

Pierre didn't particularly like the answers they were given, but he doubted that even Chiron didn't like them. He doubted they'd get any satisfactory answers for a little while, until Erin either shared it or they knew the results of the quest. [i]Face the wrath of Lord Ares... [/j] what would the Gods do, if they refused to let Erin face it alone? Pierre realised he had been standing there for some time as others began to leave, and he looked down at the idol in his hand, the large golden ring.

He wasn't even sure what to do with it. He had never really figured that part out. It probably wasn't a good time to ask- even asking Ky' vie seemed a bit... selfish. There was nothing he could do for Erin, not yet... he doubted she'd talk to him anyway. There were others better suited to it then he, for her- and they were already evidently making their way to her.

He stood a little awkwardly, gaze moving across the crowd, seeking Adeline- and frowning as he saw her with Greyson. Oh, the lad was good with her, but... that didn't mean he didn't worry. Sighing, he looked away, turning to walk away. He could go back to the cabin, perhaps try and find answers.

Penny

Penny took everything in, solem as she did so. Bellus was young, the thrill of a fight still something... beautiful for him. She had never enjoyed fighting- still didn't, but there were times when it was necessary. Fighting for her family... her guild.... And yes, fighting for moral. Still. She sighed softly, but it was clear that the rest of the guild was excited for it. And that was enough for her. Her gaze moved back to the mage that had so frightened Karn. "Well, we are always here to help. One of us generally is." She said, her gaze moving to Karn as the boy seemed to gain but some of his usual charm, his innocence. It was heartening to Penny, and she smiled slightly.

Karn deserved happiness- and so did Edarn. They seemed to have found a balance, a way to co-exist. Two years could change a lot, but... she still worried. "The Festival would be a great boost for the town... It would be good to display good things." She said, putting her arm back around Karn as he once more hid behind her.

As the conversation seemed to change yet again, Penny pondered whether or not she could slip away for a few moments, her gaze moving through the crowd and just as she was about to speak, a child's high pitched, excited voice echoed out, and Penny's attention was drawn, just in time, to the somewhat uncordinated toddler making her way through the guild, towards her.

"Faith!" She couldn't help but smile, as the girl totted as fast as she could towards her. She hadn't seen the girl often, but it was, evidently, enough for the girl to remember her. She let out a laugh as Faith's features scrunched up into a determined look, and Penny was prepared as she jumped up. SHe caught her with one arm, bending her knees slightly and grinned. "Pen-Pen!" The girls voice, bell like, was happy as she nested against Penny,

"Now, just where did you come from? Where's your mama?"

"She got away from me. She saw you, and that was it. She just poofed from my side" Penny turned her gaze from Faith, to Sasha and her smile grew. "Ka-Ka-kan-ie!" Faith, still clutching Penny with one hand, tilted slightly to look at Karn, her smile wide and full, reaching out as if she could touch him. Penny shifted her hold on her slightly, making sure the girl was secure.

"Sasha"

Michael

Michael shouldn't be surprised- Prince would never change, and Michael didn't mind that. He doubted Prince could ever miss an opportunity to pounce on him, and he smiled, the good cheer Prince always seemed to have was infectious. Beyond that, Michael enjoyed Prince's company. Still, he ducked his head slightly, cheeks a little warm for the attention of it all.

It was simple, however, to reach out and take Prince's paw in his own hand, giving his friend a smile. "Good Morning, Prince." He said softly, his gaze flicking over to Cailyn as she spoke. "I wouldn't say good news, but he is returning." He shifted slightly, wishing he knew more. His gaze flicked over the guild again- he'd been right, and Master Jake had already left.

Biting his lip, thoughtful, he looked back over to Prince. The Masters only seemed to meet up when things were bad- or if there were bad things to talk about. Well, whatever it was, he was sure they'd be told soon.

Jamie

Jamie glanced at the lacrima that should the guild hall, watching as someone made their way confidently towards her office- for she was sure th is woman was heading straight to her. Idly, Jamie gathered up a few sheets of paper, putting them away in one of her desk drawers as she leaned back in her chair. "Ah. Welcome, Mrs Duran. It is a pleasure to meet you. I trust you found your way through the city alright" She said, rising- running a hand through her hair as she smiled at the woman.

She took the offered hand with her free hand, giving it a shake in greeting.

Giving up on him already. Talon shouldn't be surprised. He shook his head, fury rising in him once more. Cared? Cared? As if that word truly had meaning, these days. Just fake words to say, nothing meaningful. Just words to make you seem better then you were. Elias had given up- that much was clear. He didn't care. No one did. The older boy was just proving his point. I'll be here except he wasn't, not really. Always thinking of something else, or dealing with something else. No one fucking cared. He didn't know where he was going, but Talon started to walk. No one would care if he just walked right out of camp. Perhaps he would, if he had somewhere to go.

He wanted to hit something. Break something. Who the fuck cared what. A tree. A rock. A person. It didn't fucking matter. All he knew was he just wanted to destroy something. Anything. No one wanted to try. Not one cared. He was alone- he always had been. He didn't care- couldn't care- about what was going on back at the tower, the grounds. What was the point? It was all about power. The only power Talon needed was the power to protect himself.

He tried to keep a hold of the fury, to keep it burning in his chest. Octavia had only cared he was winning. She'd taken that away from him without a damn care, and then called him a fucking coward. No- no that was not the train of thought he needed. Yanking his attention away from that line of thought, Talon found himself standing by the lake. No where else to go. Unless he just walked into the lake and never came out again.

It would be so easy to just... let go... And why shouldn't he? No one cared enough to try. It had always been that way. No one ever to help him... only tear him down... As the feeling of melancholy washed over him, his anger died. He crouched, laying a hand on the water, as if he could just be sucked in, and washed away. He hurt. Physically... well, that would heal. But had he ever truly healed from other wounds? He hurt. Inside, where no one cared to look. Where no one cared to dig deeper. Weak... . He closed his eyes, his heart beating painfully, as if it could sense the edge he was on. nothing to cry over, be a man, take it like a man!. Octavia couldn't know the can of worms she had opened. It hurt too much. Awww, the little baby is angry! Well come on, show me what you've got!

The voice echoed through his mind, and Talon could almost see the vile bastard. Oh, how he wished he could kill him. There were times where Talon just didn't think he'd ever feel anything but this... this numbness. It was easier to hide it... Don't let anyone see, then they can't hurt you. Except that was fucking lies. They could still hurt him. The proof was back at that fucking tower. Anger was better, but he couldn't muster it. Talon dropped his head into his hands, blood drying still left a mark, but he didn't care. Pain and Anger. Something besides the numbness, besides the feeling of nothingness. Just something to let him know he was still alive.

Why did it hurt so much to care? Why did it hurt so much, why did he feel betrayed? Why wasn't anything he did good enough? Why did he have to fail in everything? He wasn't good enough. He never would be. The rest of them would be better off without him. So why didn't he just do it? Rid them of the problem child, the one that no one could reach. That no one tried to reach. No one was coming to help him... he wasn't worth it.

It would be so easy to let go...

Niesha

Interacting With: Sam @Blackmist16

Niesha's gaze roamed over everyone once more. Everyone seemed to be on the same page- that it was, as her brother had so eloquently put, bullshit. Her gaze sought answers, even if there weren't any there. It seemed to her that the Gods, particularly it seemed Aphrodite, had just chosen a random camper for one of their mind games. The Gods couldn't act out against one another, not directly, but they could maneuver people... a cats paw you could say. And often it was their demi-god children. Given more freedom to act then the Gods, their children could, unwittingly, unknowingly, be pawns in their games.

So, who wanted to undermine Hades authority? Was Aphrodite working alone- she didn't particuarly care to count Ares, he had proven he would do anything for Aphordite's approval... Was she manipulating him as well? She lightly tapped her fingers against her thigh, thoughtful. Her gaze drifted once more, and landed on Sam. He was a curious one- sometimes the children of the lesser Gods were over looked, but as Pierre had so demonstrated, undermining them was a deadly mistake.

"They don't need proof to accuse someone." She said softly to him, "All they need is a virtually impossible task, a way of undermining someone else's power. No, make it just possible to find a way out of the mess... " she sighed, shrugging. "They're master manipulators... but they have one thing in common- they always underestimate us." She smiled a little impishly, before shrugging again.
