Wow, that's quite the coincidence. If this is a concept you've had for quite a while, I hope my own version doesn't end up falling flat in comparison. My concept of the Shoggoth is one that's very close to (and in fact, a piece of) the Shoggoth in At the Mountains of Madness. If Khalid finds out he's not the only one utilizing Shoggoths around, it would be interesting. Maybe your character is what Khalid claims to be, and is highly averse to actually becoming.

My character was born of my interest in Delta Green. I've run some games and got really into the lore and so there's where my character idea came from as you'll see.

If I had to say, I've had this character idea that I've worked through for about a little over a year and a half.
I'll work on the character sheet then

Which is?

Human/Shoggoth symbiosis. I have a very extensively written character I've used elsewhere for a lot of stories with that dynamic.
Damn. Someone literally already took my idea for a character.
If you open up for more slots let me know, I'd be interested in making a character.
Is this still open? I have an Agent character in a previous attempt on another site I never got to play.
Azai went to the showers first thing. Being in the jungle and cooped up in her mech had made her sweat to the point where she felt rather disgusted with herself. Yes, a hot shower was well-needed. And very refreshing. Then was hot food and water. She hadn't had much to drink either, which was also bad. More purification tablets would be packed for future missions in her survival kit. Between the heat and the lack of water, she didn't remember having to dig a latrine for herself.

She donned fresh clothes and headed into the mess hall for some food. The lack of energy was causing her to shake uneasily, but only on such a small level that she was able to control it. Her stomach growled audibly as she moved through the line, grabbing just about everything she could fit onto the tray, before taking a seat. She began the ungraceful procedure of wolfing down her meal, pausing only to chase it with water before going back in again.
“Fuel now. Food later.” Azai replied curtly.

She was eager to get some dinner, but getting off planet was a bigger concern right now. She dismounted the Jackhammer and hooked the fuel cells from the canister up to it. After about ten minutes, the power had been transferred over.

“Should be enough. We go. Stay alert. Don’t stop. Follow Azai.”

The oni quickly settled back into her mech and checked the power levels. There was more than enough juice to get to the extraction point, which was good in the event that they ran into trouble between here and there.

“Staggered formation. Move.” Azai ordered as she quickly set off on point.
Azai had quickly hid inside the cockpit of the Jackhammer when she had registered Eileen's mech on the thermal imager. The old bait and switch worked, but she was glad that there wasn't any need for violence. Slowly, and discretely, Azai began to power up some of the Jackhammer's other functions. Luckily the power cells weren't too drained but she wasn't going to get very far with the current state her mech was in.

"Stand down, it's friendly." Azai said over the comms. "Time to go. Hopefully others found too. Azai ready to go home. Azai need shower. Too much sweat. Azai hungry. Rations already out. Lead to extraction point."
The humidity and heat of the jungle night was rather unwelcome, but it was the only thing Azai Cislacen was needing to worry about right now and that was an improvement. She had angered local natives of the planet after they tried to take some ofbher food. She had responded in kind, with an MRE bomb to keep them away. It had the opposite effect, and now she had become separated from the rest of her team and the Jackhammer was now low on power. She switched the mech off along with all the systems. The remaining power was now being used to power the Emergency Transponder Beacon, which thankfully was simple and didn’t require a large output to work.

The oni sat on the shoulder of her mech, wearing a tank top and spats with her uniform inside the cockpit, draped over thr seat and still damp with sweat. She cradled a small, old-world relic of a weapon over her shoulder as she scanned the surrounding area with her thermal-imager for threats and signs of life.

“Late...very late...” She muttered to herself. “Azai will have heads roll if Azai left behind like this. Or maybe Azai haunt former comrades. Torment them for abandonment. Hmmm...”
