The door was a black curtain with a stone frame, moving in a soft wind. Inside the room looked like a huge temple ruin, cracking walls and idols on the ground. It was a night sky outside the windows, shadow beings moving about the ruins.
Zhara was sitting against the main wall of the biggest room, her body black in spots from the damage her soul took. She was breathing hard, her eyes closed. Monster sounds could be heard behind her, the wall now looking like a huge stone doorway. She said weakly “must…keep them…at bay…have to protect him…all costs…”
