I may be certainly interested in this concept, you have room for another extra?
Definitely.
The OP has established that you can either pick one of the few remaining map empty spaces or take one of the people's territories that haven't posted in a month.
Perhaps I could be moved as well, most of the people seem fairly far from me. Some of you are quite close to each other.
Although, technically my entire civilization could just pick up roots and move itself. I suppose I may do that instead, depending on how things go in the IC...
Make like a quarian and live on gigantic ships, traveling across the universe to escape your own creations.
To be honest, it's more of me being bored with Mexico and unsure of what to do with it. I don't know if I can just drop them entirely and try a new nation, and I'd rather not do that right in the middle of the RP, so I'm just having fun messing around with them.
If making them revive an old sect of christianity (even though there is if I remember correctly, a movement trying to revive Catharism) is too farfetched for everyone's liking, I can change it to Protestantism or something like that.
Eh, fuck it, I'm bored with Mexico and have no idea where to go with them, I'm dropping too.
@Terminal I didn't realize you were measuring coordinates from the top left instead of the bottom left. If you look at my original post, I did list that as my assumption.
So where I was hoping to actually be would accordingly be 530, 610, 530. Apologies for the miscommunication.
Hey guys, Im Alive, :D. Sorry about not posting in a forever, and I sadly see that a lot of people have left.
Other then that, I do have to admit something and ask you something. This RP was a sort of test to see how this community plays its NRPs, and I noticed quite a few things, such as me needing to create a rule to limit wars and other rules to limit some of the insane things. Another thing I noticed is how quickly you guys start to form enemies and allies, so in my next RP, I will make sure to adjust the setting accordingly.
This leads me to my question, what do you want next for my RP. No, I won't make it right now, I will probably make it in about a week or two, so I can have time to design the Interest check. I will also continue to GM this rp after I create the other one.
The Choices (Please Reply what RP Genre you want next, if you want any, in the comments below)
Sci-Fi (Galactic Empires) Fantasy (Fantasy world with Fantasy Races) Pre Sci-Fi (Same World as AoR, just with Different Nations) Modern (Modern Nations Selectable from a list) Convergence of Earths Type World (Vanguardian allowed me to make a new version of the RP Other (What Genre do you want)
Heh. It depends on the players, which accordingly depends on the RP. When you post something like Precipice of War with an incredibly detailed backstory and post level, only hardcore people will join that are more cautious about random wars and the like. Whereas an RP like this with a short introduction and less restrictive rules tends to attract the more casual players. Nothing better or worse about either style, it's just my experience.
I feel that the NRP section is lacking in sort of futuristic-but-not-quite-sci-fi worlds like this one, so I like this concept. But I would suggest extending it slightly to the point where perhaps the Moon and Mars could be colonized and also have nations on them. So not only would there be dynamics and relations between countries on Earth but also between them and their colonies and between the colonies and each other. Sort of an early space Age of Exploration if you will.
I would write it myself, but I'm lazy.
That being said, a modern or slighly historical (say WW2-era) RP could be interesting as well. It's nice to have a historical basis to work with rather than extrapolating into the future.
