Kijani awoke with a startle, as if something was calling her name. "Yes?" She murmured, barely awake and half dropping out of her cot. "...weird." Was it the Force or some vague remnant of a dream? Perhaps just the mind playing tricks.

She dressed and got up, exiting the tent to find a surprise. Adam's few bags were packed and set to the side, as if he were ready to go. Kijani was confused and still tired, and didn't quite get why.

"Good morning, Adam. Are we leaving? Why didn't you wake me?" She paused, confused. "Wait. Why are we leaving, we just got here." Stifling, she started to braid back her dreadlocks to keep them off her face and neck.

"...I don't understand what's happening. Explain." It was rare she was commanding to anyone, but it was usually when she wasn't in a proper mood.
Should they text a little bit more or just move on to dinner?
Late with posts.

Kijani was a little surprised that this man also seemed to be a Communicator. Moreso that he was so open to talking about it. Thoth had sworn her to secrecy, which was easy as she really didn’t have anyone to tell.

“I was told ‘up’, more or less, so that is where I went.” She sighed softly. “At least there are two of us now.” She walked up to the shimmering air, and pressed her fingers against it. There was clearly something there, though she didn’t know what. “I’m not sure where to go from here.”

Before she could contact Thoth, however, the barrier beneath her fingertips gave way with a little pop of displaced air. She stumbled in a less than graceful fashion due to the surprise, but quickly regained stable footing and composure. A hand went to her kopesh, rather quickly considering how little she used it. Luckily, there was no need.

Before her was one of the most beautiful buildings she had ever laid eyes on. It gleamed in the light, almost dazzling her with its brightness. She stared at it, noting the lovely marble of the columns, the wide expanse of the stairs. Everything was perfect. Kijani was actually sad that she didn’t know more about architecture, otherwise she could understand the true beauty of the place.

“Well. I guess that answers that question.” She turned to the strange man nearby. “This must be a place fit for the Gods. Shall we?”

What a day this was already, and they hadn’t even started actual training yet! The sudden addition of the Tamaranean princess was a surprise, albeit a welcome one. She had been wanting to get more girls on the team to balance out the testosterone factor. Still, there was something in her stomach that twisted. She’d met people like this before. Bright sparks that drew in everyone around them. Already two of the boys were drawn in like guppies to a lanternfish.

Before she could even consider making an introduction, they got their training instructions. It seemed they were to run that strange looking obstacle course. And… without her staff. That was unfortunate, as she could have cleared at least the wall and the pool for everyone with it. Which was… probably why Green Arrow did not want her using it at all. Reluctantly, she leaned it against a tree.

“Sorry Damiek, next time.” She fondly patted the little octopus figure on the top, and joined the others. Already Aleen'a was attacking the wall. It had to be made of stone or concrete. Just watching the princess go at it made her knuckles hurt. She reached for her staff, found empty air, remembered it was several feet away now, and frowned. If only she could fly, wouldn't that make things easier?

"Are you sure we're supposed to break the wall? Couldn't we go over it?"

I do need help please.
Currently? Started taking classes again. Currently working my way through a massive Medical Terminology textbook. Pray for me, yall.
It made sense to me just fine.

Sorry about the short post. A question that I think I may have missed in earlier posts. Is Jinny carrying her own gun for this hunt?
Jinny watched with careful attention as Slade demonstrated how to move quietly in the forest environment. She mimicked his steps for a few moments, walking in a circle to get the footing down. It was much quieter, but she found herself walking normally every few steps. It was going to take some practice. Then she tried climbing a tree, which was surprisingly difficult for her. She muttered to herself, poked herself with branches, said a few choice words that she shouldn’t probably know, and managed to make it to a sturdy branch.

“...that was hard.” She was just a bit out of breath, so she sat down on the branch with her feet swinging.

“I know I could have used my powers to fly up, but sometimes I don’t want to use them. What if I overdo it, or what if there’s something that takes my powers away? I have to be ready for that, right?” She wasn’t even sure that second thing existed beyond her own imagination, but it was definitely worth considering in her mind.

“I have to learn things the regular way just in case.” She stood and leapt from her perch, falling into a careful tumbling roll as she had been taught. Brushing herself off, she led the way again. Her feet were much quieter, but it was clear she was still getting the hang of it.

It took quite a bit more time, and there were more signs along the way. There was the faintest sound of water ahead. The source of it became much clearer, as a trickling stream came into view. Just ahead, having a nice drink of water, was their quarry, a fat, healthy looking rabbit.

“There it is.” Jinny whispered softly. It was completely defenseless, and so far, had not caught wind of them.

“…is this a good spot?” She looked around for other animals.
"Hm. Interesting." He was handsome, that was for certain. He had the polished noble look down. But his motive was strange to Kijani. She saw the paparazzi party photos and while they gave her pause, she was able to dismiss them among the rest of what she found, which was generally positive. But his lack of a political bend made her curious. Why now, was he trying to line up with the Rebellion? Was there familial pressure to marry? If so, why her? Was it simply because the loss of Alderaan had opened his eyes to the ugly truth of the Empire? If so, there were plenty of other good, Rebel aligned families with suitable daughters.

This required more thought.

She fell asleep with the Holonet pad in her lap, exhausted and dreamless.
