The Halloween Festival. The Beach Bar. Cracker Island.
“Hey!”
Meifeng raised an eyebrow as this girl tried her damnest to get her attention. She said nothing, but Meifeng stared at her as if she was just waiting for her to share what she had in mind. However, her face scrunched up, and she very wisely talked to someone on her level: Trevor.
“Please, join us. Oh. No. Anya. Our drinks. They’re empty. Oooh, yep, they’re both…they’re both empty. Anya, could you grab anot…another? Trevor will keep me company. W-won’t you?”
"I would... but didn't you all say that someone is murdering ya'll!?" Trevor spoke in a thick southern accent with a shocked expression. "What if she walks off, and that psycho-stabbin' killer is there waiting for her?!"
He raised his hand as if he was holding an invisible knife. "He'll be like bow-bow! Then she'll be like, 'Aaaaaaah! I'm getting stabbed! If only I had a hunky and handsome hero to stop me from getting stabbed to dea-'" To accentuate his point, he made some thrusting motions with the "invisible knife"; however, he was interrupted.
"... Trevor," Cindy softly and sternly said. "She wants you to stay with her... So, stay with her."
"Aw..." Trevor hunched over. "Well, I guess I'll stick with you, even though my heart, soul -and other parts- belong to your friend! I'm a superhero, y'know, and I could not live with myself if something happened to her."
Cindy's jaw dropped.
"I almost projectile vomited..." Samson shook his head.
”Oh, I feel so much safer already with you here to protect me. Why don't you go find some armour that can do the job?”
"I'm bulletproof," Trevor said as he jammed a thumb in his chest. "I don't need any armor!"
Leon laughed his ass off... for probably not the reason Anya and Sloane thought.
”Don't worry, Meifeng, I'll forget all about how you push us onto a junior- no, trainee, is it not?- agent when we were merely looking for help with a very murderous problem,”
"Trainee Agent... for the third time," Meifeng answered with a shrug. "And don't mention it."
”Well. Why don’t you join us too, and prove that you weren’t just trying to play the matchmaker? I’m not looking to discuss much business, but it’s only fair you get to know us after your immediate judgement of Sloane.”
"Can't you see that I'm an old lady?" Meifeng laughed, "When I sit down, I'm not getting back up! I have a bad back after all."
"... Oh, you know nothing about having a bad bac-" Cindy seethed.
"Ssh!" Meifeng put a finger to Cindy's lips. "I'm comfortable right here. Why don't you three come over here? It's more comfortable, and I get a seat by my best friend."
Rain began to hit the bar in torrential collums... soaking Meifeng and her costume. She shivered as she raised her hand into the air.
"... Good grief," She shook her head. "This is the second time the damn weather..."
"This sounds familiar, don't it?" Cindy raised an eyebrow.
"Yes... yes, it does..." Meifeng trailed off.
"Emily G. Reed was here," Cindy began. "Which means her girlfriend Vashti Nour isn't that far behind."
"Good grief, I'm trying to enjoy my time off here," Meifeng rolled her eyes. "Can't those two assholes just calm their tits for just one night...?"
"Guess not," Cindy said. "Let's take care of that real quick."
"Need a hand?" Maximilian said as he stood up.
"Yes, yes we do," Meifeng said before she looked at Sloane, Anya, and Trevor. "We have to step out for a moment... Play nice. Or don't. I'll look the other way if you decide to murder Trevor."
"Hey!" Trevor protested.
"... Pineapple margarita?" The bartender said, sliding the drink across the bar top. The two women looked at each other, then the drink. Before, Cindy smiled as she grabbed the drink with both hands and presented it to Anya.
Cracker Island. Halloween Festival. Right outside the fight.
".... Well, well, well!"
A big and boisterous voice spoke as his heavy footsteps announced his arrival. The big and hulking George Nelson walked over to Ayrin with a wide grin and crossed his arms. "Look what we got here! A nosy-bitch!"
"... Yeah, motherfucker! Mind your business!" Carol Doyle slid from behind George, holding his red cape as she said. "You know what happens to motherfuckers that use phones around here?!"
George laughed as he stuck his hand out and said.
"This is what happens," He began, "Give me your phone."
"Also, you stay out of this, you tall bitch!" Carol shouted at Jordan. "You will be three feet shorter when I break your motherfucking knees, bitch!"
Shayton.

Cracker Island. Halloween Festival.
"Hmph... annoying..."
Shayton rolled his eyes as he examined the damage on the sleeve of his suit jacket. Despite his best attempts, he ruined one of his favorite suits... and lost his cane. That "kid" would pay for this. He calmly walked through the Historic District streets before pulling out his cell phone and dialing someone.
LUIS.
It rang briefly as he placed it up against his ear.
"... Mr. Jakane!" Luis said.
"Shayton," He corrected.
"Potato-Patato," Luis laughed.
"Who says Patato...?" Shayton rolled his eyes.
"There has to be a reason why you're calling me, yes?" Luis said.
"It was that "kid" again," Shayton began. "He approached me at the Halloween Festival."
"Ah, the one that made Judas squeal?"
"Yes."
"... I'm going to send Natalie, Vulpes, and Shaquita to the island," Luis said. "We're going to have some men on the other side of the ferry keeping an eye out for him."
He laughed.
"We're going to make sure we get to the bottom of this," Luis began. "Right, Shayton?"
"Right," Shayton said... before a sudden rainstorm overcame him and the island. In the distance, he saw raging storms, firey blasts, and other magic tricks. "... There's a fight going on here. I see fireblasts, and a storm came out of nowhere."
"Well, who's fighting?" Luis asked.
"It's in the distance," Shayton shook his head. "It has to be Vashti Nour... and if Vashti Nour is here, Emily G. Reed is likely here as well."
"Keep an eye on them," Luis said. "I know it's your day off..."
"Alright," Shayton shook his head as he walked into the eye of the storm, destroyed suit and all... Eventually, he came to the fight once he stepped through an alleyway. According to his suspicions, Vashti Nour and Emily G. Reed fought with three other combatants he had not seen before.
So, he sat on a bench some distance away with serene tranquility as rain drenched him from head to toe. He watched.
Clementine said, aiming down the sights of the weapon.
“Yeah, yeah… closer,” The monster laughed as he walked closer anyway. “How am I supposed to kill them from this far away? You’re asking for a lot here lady…”
Clementine pulled the trigger, and a boom filled the room, putting a hole in the monster. Not just any hole, a hole into a black, void-like expanse. “Ah… annoying,”
The holes closed as it got closer and closer.
“Okay, time to try something else!” Vanessa shouted as she put her fists up, and two silver gauntlets appeared on her hands in a flash of silver light. She yelled as she rushed the creature and gave him a punch across the face, then a shot to the stomach that sent him stumbling backward before she dashed at what had to be supernatural speeds and punched him, sending him flying through a wall.
“You three, c’mere!” Clementine shouted as she ran over to the three. She raised her hand in the air, surrounded by a wavy blue aura. “Hate to waste good cuffs, but stick your hands out!”
"Pleassseee get them off me," Ella ran over to Clementine and stuck her hands out. She slammed her hand down and cleaved right through it as if it was nothing.
"I'm good," Saskia winced, holding up her cuffless arms, fingers beginning to snap back into place with horrible sounding cracks. They still moved over to the others, dropping their voice. "Ella, you need you channeler."
"We don't have time for that!" Ella shook her head. Maybe they could run while Vanessa fought whatever this was - but it would just follow them! And they couldn't abandon newly refound friends! "I'll just have to fight without it- PRISMATIC TRANSFORMATION!"
She launched right into her transformation spell, spinning shakily as harsh burns spiralled out across her stomach and down her thighs. Her clothes were replaced with the normal magical girl affair - in duller colours than normal - and her hair remained the same, normal bright pink braids tied in buns. She winced, eyes darting over to the creature, ready for him to get back up.
"Shit," Saskia swore, looking at Lisa. "Can your spiders get her channeler?!"
”They can,” Lisa shouted, sticking her hands out as Clementine broke them with her abstraction. ”But, you’re gonna have to give me a minute to get them read-”
“... Hello,”
The monster opened another rift through reality and stepped through it, ending up in the interrogation room. “Would you please hurry up and die? I’m late for dinner.”
The creature swung its claw, creating a massive rift into a dark void. Lisa screamed as she fell backward before a wave of spiders crawled out from underneath the door, from the vent, and the hole in the wall Vanessa made fighting the creature. They quickly crawled up the creature’s leg, until they covered his lower body and began biting...
”... Damn it!” Lisa shouted. ”His skin’s too tough!”
“Ah, that itches,” The creature laughed.
”... But, not too tough for this!” Lisa grinned as she activated the Acid Burst spell… and then he disappeared. Leaving behind all the spiders as they fell to the ground and exploded. Sending acid in all directions… and one splash hit Lisa on the cheek and dissolved flesh until it exposed her teeth. ”AH! Take cover!”
"AHHHH!" Ella screamed as she rolled to the side, grabbing a chair to protect herself. Acid splashed her arms, eating through her flesh. Magical burns ran further down her legs as she lit them up with a flickering, rainbow light. She was in agony from casting without a channeller and getting hit by the acid - but she couldn't fight without her magic!
"SHIT!" Saskia jumped behind the table, acid onto their left leg and burning through to the bone. They cursed as they quickly clotted the wound, slamming their hand against the sharp edge of the table to reopen the one there. Blood flooded out, coating their body in a thin protective layer. "Go through the hole- we need more space."
"And my channeler," Ella groaned. At least she should be able to hold the spell on her legs for ten minutes, giving her a way to attack without more damage- but it was risky!
”Give me a minute!” Lisa shouted as she summoned massive tarantulas from the hidden corners of the room.
“We need to get outside!” Clementine noted, before she looked through the hall. “‘Nessa! Nessa!?”
“... We may have a problem!” Vanessa shouted.
“Oh, God, what now?!” Clementine shouted.
“... There’s more of them!” Vanessa shouted before she was launched back into the room and slid across the floor on her back.
"Vanessa!" Ella shouted.
Footsteps approached.
“You three are the ones that caused that mess in Morningstar’s office…?” A feminine voice spoke, and then they saw her grin. Then, her sunken eyes shined as she stepped in wearing a heavenly white robe. “And killed Mala’Boolaan? He was clearly unworthy of his position.” She laughed.
"Rude!" Ella yelled, pushing herself back to her feet. This was still fine, they could take on two people. Apparitions. Whatever they were. "Don't disrespect the dead! He put up a good fight!"
“And he was felled by three idiots!” She laughed.
"That's not the point, Ella," Saskia hissed, shifting from behind the table and next to Ella. Two bone spears grew out of the back of their hands.
"Alright- I won't let you hurt me or my friends!" Ella pointed her finger at the woman. If Lisa's spiders were going to get her channeller and she needed a minute, they needed to keep both of the creatures off of her.
She leaped forward, swinging a shining leg at the woman, and the creature floated backward while raising a hand. A chunk of the ground flipped up and tanked the hit meant for her. At the same time, Saskia shifted into a protective stance in front of Lisa, and Clementine went over to help her sister up to her feet. Lisa activated the hybridization spell, wrapping them in a glowing cocoon, which burst a few moments later—equipping the tarantulas with Ant mandibles. Then, utilizing the command spell, she sent them into the halls of the PRA office.
”Where is the channeler?” Lisa shouted.
“It’s…” Clementine attempted to reply.
“... Please tell,” The mysterious lady-thing said, raising her hand, and chunks of the wall broke off and flew at Ella. “I’m going to kill your friend with it!” She said in a sing-song.
"You're not killing anyone!" Ella winced, jumping to the side with her strengthened legs and rolling out of the way of the chunks of wall. Her legs ached as she did, the spell cast on them unstable, but she fought through it. Pushing back to her feet she launched herself up, spinning mid air and flying towards the lady-thing, and launched her backwards. However, she caught herself with her telekinetic abilities, and floated back.
Another massive rift into darkness opened up, and the white creature poked his head in momentarily. “Hey…” he began. “I brought some friends.…”
A massive, clawed foot stuck through the portal before the rest of the hellish beast came through. Hulking, waving around a threateningly large sword, several arms, and a severed head. He growled as he gave his blade a swift flourish… Before holding it in both hands.
After he came through, a monstrous claw came through, before the rest of the hellish creature followed. It was even taller than the other one, with its head bursting through the ceiling.
“Let me see if I can find some more,” the white creature slowly slid back into the rift. “Play nice now.”
Before he disappeared, and the rift closed.
“Ooookay!” Clementine took a few steps back, until she was against the wall. “We NEED to get the fuck out of here. NOW!”
"No shit," Saskia hissed. "Go, I'll cover your backs. Ella, you too-"
"No way!" Channeler or not, Ella wasn't going to abandon her friend.
"I'll take the one with the sword," Saskia said, blood running across their skin and forming two blades on her hands. They didn't engage, holding their blood blades in front of them while watching the creature with the sword.
Ella, on the other hand, jumped forward and swung their shining leg up towards the other creature, and he used his hulking arm to block.
”I’ll take the girl!” Lisa shouted as the spiders covered the telekinetic in spiders. ”I can’t keep summoning like this!”
“You can’t!” The lady laughed as she raised a hand, and the table they took cover behind began floating. “Because you’ll be dead!”
The table flew towards Lisa, but Vanessa punched it in half.
“I said we gotta go! There’s too many big motherfuckers in here to fight like this!” Vanessa shouted as she raised a gauntlet-ed fist into the air. “Get ready!”
Vanessa slammed the fist down and punched the ground, creating a massive gaping hole in the ground that led to the main lobby of the PRA office building. They could see the front desk right underneath them.
“I’m not sure if you have some way to take the fall,” Clementine said as she aimed her pistol at the brute with the extra-large arm and fired off a few shots, which penetrated his flesh but didn’t seem to stop him. “But figure out something! We are at a disadvantage fighting in here!”
"I can’t!" Ella wailed. She could maybe take a fall if she’d absorbed enough colour… but not like this!
The creature with the massive arm cocked it back, then swung it in a wide arc - only for Vanessa to hop in it’s way and block it with her arms up. Skidding backwards as she grunted, “Well, you better have a fucking healer, then!”
Long black spider legs burst out of Lisa’s back as she hopped into the hole—only for the legs to spread out and attach themselves to the ceiling as Lisa climbed down the walls to the floor. Clementine just jumped and landed on the ground with no harm done.
"I’ve got this," Saskia’s blood once again moved, coating her back in a thin, strong layer. More pooled out of her wound and formed a long tendril, as she visibly paled. She grabbed hold of Ella from behind. Before Ella could protest, Saskia yanked her through the hole, thanks to catching Ella by surprise.
The blood tentacle shot past Ella’s face and hooked onto the edge, slowing their fall so they dangled for just a moment… before it let go too and dropped them the rest of the way. Midfall it retracted and they landed on the floor with a loud thump, Ella right on top of Saskia - and more protected from the fall. Nothing was broken but everything hurt like hell!
"Fuckkkk," Saskia grunted, audible cracks echoing in Ella’s ears. She rolled off her immediately and helped Saskia sit up. Her back, neck and head had been protected by the blood armour, but her legs and arms were visibly broken. They were twisting horribly as they started to repair themselves and the blood that hadn’t splattered across the floor pulled back into Saskia’s wound.
"Saskiiiaaa," Ella cried, stopping herself from going full on upset about it - she had to keep fighting now that they were down!
”... I got you!” Lisa shouted as spider preemptively forced their way out of her pores, and she lept over to Saskia. She placed her hands on Saskia’s shoulders, and the spiders crawled down her arms and onto Saskia. They bit her, injecting her with their healing concoction, which would heal her wounds….
“Well…” The Pale-Lady raised a hand in the air, and technically lifted a chunk out of the ground - making the hole evn larger - before launching it at Vanessa. It hit her and launched her into the hole in the ground and she hit the ground with a loud tud next to Ella and Saskia. The lady stuck her face through the hole as she stared down, then looked at the two. “Don’t leave your friends behind, you two!”
"Vanesssaaaa!" Ella shouted, swapping from kneeling beside Saskia to kneeling beside her.
The first one down was the Demon with the sword, who landed some distance away from the trio (and Vanessa and Clementine). He gave his sword another flourish as he walked over to them… menacingly. The next one down was the demon with the freakishly long arm. He slammed his hand on the ground as he walked alongside the other freak… while the pale lady watched from above.
”... We need to get your Channeler,” Lisa muttered to Ella. ”This is why you need a Channeler like ours. You can’t fight like this long term!”
“Do you think your spiders can find it?” Clementine asked as she raised a pistol at the two creatures.
”They can…” Lisa said, then shrugged, ”... Eventually.”
“I can lead you there!” Clementine asked, before she turned to Ella and Saskia. “Can you two stay here and hold them off?”
“You mean three?” Vanessa said with a wry grin.
“Yeah, whatever!” Clementine said, “Just buy us some time.”
"Easy," Saskia grunted, sitting up as Lisa’s healing spiders worked their magic. The terrifying whiteness disappeared from their already pale skin and their broken bones were fixed.
"Yeah, don’t worry, we got this!” Ella declared, pushing herself to her feet. Even through the hot pain searing through her legs, burnt skin visible through the glowing light coating them, she could- would- keep going. This was nothing compared to dying! "I can keep this up for… another eight minutes.”
"I can keep this up until I bleed out," Saskia said, reaching out to scrape their healed hand across a piece of rubble and draw blood again. They then stood, blood coating their hands. "Go."
Ella held out a hand to help Vanessa up, gulping as she looked at the two creatures. For all her bravado… she really was limited when she shouldn’t use anymore spells. "Saskia…”
"Yeah, got it. Go defensive." Saskia stepped forward. Ella moved to her side, one leg slightly bent and ready to move - but neither attacked first. They had to hold them off, and maybe hurt them, until Ella got her channeler. Then they could properly fight. Because right now, Ella really was running on next to nothing!
“Well,” Vanessa said as she got up. She punched her gauntlets together as she said, “We can take them.”
Clementine nodded as she grabbed Lisa’s hand and carried her off into the halls of the PRA building.
The creature with the freakishly large arm slammed it on the ground, and used it as a pole-vault to launch itself high up into the air. It had it cocked back for a devastating punch. While the beast with the sword came charging from the side. Ella and Saskia dodged to opposite sides to avoid the punch. Ella spun around, leg kicking up towards the creature with the freakishly large arm’s abdomen, causing it to hit the ground with a thud. Saskia’s blood formed a single blade from her right hand, and she swung it towards the beast with the sword. Clashing blade against blade…
The other creature pushed itself to its feet by its arm, before raising it into the air and bringing it down on Ella, who blocked it with a strengthened leg. She winced, draining the colours from several bracelets to coat her right fist. The bright pinks flickered before settling, red hot wounds cutting across her arm away from it. The pain was intense, her vision blurring as she punched at the creature with the pink fist. The punch caused it to stumble…
… Then Vanessa charged in and walloped the thing and sent it flying. It went through the wall.
“… The Chairman Board is going to kill us,” Vanessa shook her head before facing the two. “You two! Double-team him! I got the other one!”
The brute came out charging and grabbed Vanessa, raising her up into the air and slamming her onto the ground. Before it kicked her through a wall and kept charging after her, it ran lopsided due to its proportions.
"... She doesn’t seem like she can handle that?” Ella looked at the new hole in the wall in panic.
"She’s trained, she’ll be fine!" Saskia said, still engaged in sword to sword combat with the other creature. It was a deadlock, but Saskia was being pushed back.
Ella ran towards it, sending a high kick towards its side. The impact caused it to hunch over, but it quickly swung the severed head it was carrying like a bat at Ella. Ella raised her arms to block it, wincing when it hit the one she hadn’t infused with colour. She pushed through it, bringing her knee up to ram into it. At the same time, Saskia shot a long bone spear out of their elbow as their blood blade clashed with its blade, aiming for its sword holding arm. Impaling it through the arm as it let out a roar, keeping the sword in its iron grasp as it grabbed the spear and squeezed it in an attempt to break it. The spear snapped with a sickening crunch, half still lodged in its arm and the broken half pulling back into Saskia's skin as she grunted in pain.
One of the free arms swung at Ella, hitting her in the shoulder and sending her flying. She landed on her ass , wincing and immediately getting back to her feet. Everything ached, the casting without her channeler beginning to get to her, but they just had to hold on. Ella jumped back in, swinging one leg towards its side then aiming her strengthened fist forward at the same time. Shattering several ribs in a loud crack.
However, he lunged forward to grab Ella. She tried to dodge back, but her forward momentum was too much, and she couldn’t avoid it. Ella punched the arm, holding her with a grimace, which he ignored as he came in with a full-force punch. She pulled up a leg in time to block the punch from hitting her stomach, muscles tearing as it slammed through the prismatic light. She cried out as pain seared through her leg.
"Shit, Ella!" Saskia twisted around, unable to disengage and help.
Ella let out a hiss, hands pulling together and draining all of the colour she wore. A large, multi colored sphere appeared in her hand. It wobbled, shape fragile, and painful blisters formed across her skin as the burning got worse. She launched the sphere right in the creatures face - it would be like a brick was hitting it. But at the same time it exploded on contact, shards of colour erratically shooting off and hitting both Ella and Saskia.
It grabbed its face - stumbling backward. Before putting all its weight on its backfoot and rushing forward, swinging its sword wildly. Ella was right in the path of its sword, leg injured and wounds all over her from the prismatic prisms’ backlash. Saskia jumped forward and pushed her out of the way, awkwardly blocking the sword with one blood-covered hand and their blood blade. The erratic swings sliced through Saskia’s blade, blood splattering on the floor, and she narrowly avoided getting her arm chopped off. Her blood coated both hands in a hard shell and she grabbed the sword, more blood thinly coating her feet to stop her from being pushed back.
Ella raised a hand, a beam of light shooting directly from her finger and towards the creature's sword arm. As it did, her entire finger lit up as if it were an ember, burning pain spreading out from it and down her entire arm. The creature yelped in pain, finally letting go of the sword and holding her hand as it thrashed around.
“… Hey,” The White Creature stuck its head through the gaping hole in the ceiling. “Ignatius said that if you three can’t handle this, you have no place in the Society. So no more friends!”
“But we brought you something!” The Pale Lady stuck her head through the hole. Then, two more identical swords flew into the monster’s hands through the hole.
“Oh dear,” The white creature said. “You dropped one, pal.”
“Best get it back!” The Pale Lady shouted.
She retreated out of sight.
"Shit, you can’t go on much longer," Saskia muttered, looking at Ella. She was covered in burns and the light coating her legs was flickering rapidly. Ella shook her head, grimacing. They had to get rid of this one faster now to help Lisa and Clementine before they were killed!
"I’m fine.” She recast her super prism kick, rainbow light on her legs stabilising as pain seared through her midsection. Even if she had to sacrifice herself, she’d make sure her friends were safe. Adrenaline pumped through her veins enabling her to continue, light supporting her damaged leg.
Ella jumped forward, leg kicking out towards one of the arms holding a sword. Saskia reformed their own blood blades simultaneously, two of them, and sliced them towards it and were parried by the creature’s blades. However, the kick sent it stumbling over, and it quickly used one of the blades to brace itself.
It loudly yelled as it raised its blades, and wildly slashed at Saskia while charging. Saskia gritted her teeth as she blocked the slashes, forced to step back with each strike. There was no opening for an attack, only defence, as the blades got scarily close to her face. Ella backed away as it attacked Saskia, raising a hand to shoot a rainbow laser at it. She tried to aim for a sword-holding hand, but the spell was unstable and pointed toward its shoulder. With great effort, hands feeling like they were on fire, Ella kept up the continuous beam of light, directing it down its arm. It screamed as it continued the barrage of blades towards Saskia.
”... ELLA!” Lisa shouted, barging into the room, holding Ella’s Channeler high into the air. Clementine was behind her, holding her pistol with both hands… Then Lisa’s spiders came after her, crawling up the walls like a strange macabre carpet.
"LISAAAA!" Ella yelled back, cutting off the beam of light. She was incredibly relieved to see her - both alive and with her Channeler! She was at her limit of casting without it. Ella started running towards Lisa, burned hands outstretched for her Channeler.
"Hurry up and help me," Saskia hissed, being beaten back further and further as all they could do was block. She was panting heavily but still keeping up with the continuous barrage. "Actually, heal Ella first!"
”Okay!” Lisa shouted as tiny black spiders forced their way out of Lisa’s pores. They traveled up her arm and covered the Sailor Moon Wand. ”Come here!”
Ella took one look at the spiders coming out of Lisa’s pores, covering her precious wand, and felt sick. She’d been healed by them once before and it had been horrible! Times weren’t so desperate right now. She stopped running towards Lisa, instead beginning to back away. "No, I’m alright! Just give me my Channeler, please!"
”Let. Me. Heal. You.” Lisa shouted as she began to sprint after Ella.
"NOOOOO! Stay away!" Ella screamed, turning around and running away as fast as she could.
”Get back here!” Lisa shouted.
"... are you fucking with me," Saskia muttered, still fighting.
“Look out!” Clementine shouted as she shot both of her hands forward. A blue wave of energy came out of her hands. It hit the creature, launching it back. She ran over to Saskia’s side. “We can take him!”
It got up to its feet… before grabbing its dropped weapons. It gave them a flourish with all three before it roared.

Boxing ⫻ When Adora was growing up, her grandfather knew she was going to grow up to be cute, so he decided to get her trained how to fight and defend herself. Not just anyone, the legendary “Gravity” Richoux... But until his mysterious disappearance. She put the training to good use when protecting Lisa from bullies in high school and the Old Coven. However, she is very out of practice, but a lot of that stuck with her.
Painting ⫻ Something her therapist, Lihn Phan, got her to pick up as a method of building a routine and soothing herself. She discovered she is a very talented painter and often draws amazing art... That never leaves her house.
Basketball ⫻ It was another activity that her mother and grandparents pushed her to do. She isn’t amazing at it, but don't underestimate her jump shot.
Computer Savvy ⫻ Adora works as tech support in a remote job, and she surprises people with how knowledgeable and skilled she is.
Spiders! ⫻Well, hanging around Lisa has caused her obsession with spiders to rub off a bit on Adora. Adora can easily identify spiders off the back of her hand... However, she associates Spiders with Lisa, avoiding talking about them.
Appearance ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ "I made myself into something people can depend on."
A very unapproachable woman, and a very intimidating one. Maybe it's the fact that Adora has a permanent Resting-Bitch-Face. She exudes an air of superiority not out of disdain for others but as a declaration that she will not allow anyone to dictate her worth or destiny. The girl strangely carries herself; she has an aloof and uncaring aura - as she'd seldomly be the first person to approach someone. She only seems uncaring in her attitude, and Adora takes extreme care in her appearance, from her attitude to her body to her overall cleanliness. You'd be dead if you found Adora not looking her very best. Adora takes giant steps and usually has her face and head concealed behind an oversized hoodie with her hands in her pockets. She usually speaks surprisingly high-pitched and is quick and to the point, and never smiles (If you make her smile, you must be something else). Overall, she has a menacing aura that is mysterious underneath it all.
In terms of the body, Adora is average height and well-built; back in the days of the old Coven, she had a little gut and padding to her body - but not anymore. After losing her friend Lisa, Adora has found therapy in the gym and is very well-built. Her biceps are thick, her forearms are veiny, and her thick thighs and calves are very well built from leg day and tons of cardio. Yes, she has a big butt, it was a "gift" from her mother, and it's substantial from all the squats she does. Her bra size is 38b... but because she's five-six, she doesn't look all that tall. However, Adora keeps her body well covered, and she's one of those gals who always wears long-sleeved shirts and pants. Never wear anything sexual or provocative - though Adora enjoys the occasional dress.
Now, Adora is African-American, and she tries to take care of her skin, but she has a nasty scar on her stomach from the battle with the Stygian Snake. It's red and fleshy and comes out the back - but good luck seeing it. Adora keeps her hair in dreads that are clean and well-maintained - but very short. In terms of attire, as stated before, Adora dresses in the most unflattering ways possible so people don't sexualize her. She usually wears baggy clothes that do not accentuate her feminine features and cover as much of her skin as possible. However, this isn't something she always does, and sometimes she dresses sexy... and surprises people with how well-built she is. However, when she's out in public and the weather permits, expect Adora to wear a hoodie and keep the hood up, so getting a good view of her face would be challenging. In private, Adora dresses in the most comfortable or none at all.
However, she keeps a strange golden ring on her index finger, for no reason at all.
Psychology ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ "Coming back to the Coven brings back so many bad memories... but I have to do this. To find the strength to get over it all. To solve this for everyone."
MAIN GOAL ⫻ Adora doesn't exactly have one. After witnessing Lisa Turner's graphic death, her life has been one big maze without a way out. It has been ten years since that one traumatic event has permanently marred her mental health, and she yearns for healing. However, it's easier said than done, but despite it all, she is determined to find peace not just for herself but the memory of her fallen friend. Simultaneously, Adora wants to rebuild the bridges that once connected her to the people she loved and cared about and, above all else, belong again. Yet, amidst the mental turmoil that haunts the woman, she still has that resolve to positively impact the world. Adora's experiences have instilled in her a sense of duty to help others, especially those who, like Lisa, are vulnerable and in need of protection. Each of these threads forms a metaphorical tapestry that constantly pulls the woman in different directions, but they all meet in the same place: redemption, healing, and purpose.
PHILOSOPHY ⫻ Raised with the values of honesty, strength, and compassion, Adora's worldview is crafted by a deep-seated belief in justice and fairness. She sees herself as a protector, a guardian of the weak, willing to fight for people who cannot. However, the loss of Lisa has left her questioning everything she once held dear, and doubt, self-hatred, and guilt gnaw at her from within. The once unshakeable pillar is now fragile, and she has no choice but to protect it with her confrontational nature. While her confrontational demeanor may serve as a shield to keep others out, it also protects her from herself, preventing her from embracing her vulnerabilities. However, there is a glimmer of hope in her soul; that pissed-off pillar refuses to be controlled or defined by her trauma. Regardless of how many obstacles stand in her way, she will carve out a path of healing and her own place in the world.
SECRETS ⫻ Adora tells herself she doesn't have secrets, but she guards her trauma against the world with her life. It took years before Adora could be convinced to go to therapy, and beforehand, she was fully willing to go to the grave with her trauma. That fateful day haunts her every literal moment, and she'll be damned before she lets a second of it slip. Adora hides this secret by presenting herself as an unshakeable rock, a paragon for people to look up to.
SEXUALITY ⫻ Adora's sexuality is a facet of herself that remains unexplored, overshadowed by her trauma. While she identifies as bisexual, her battle with her mental health has made it difficult to engage in intimacy or a meaningful relationship. Yet, within her walls and underneath that tough demeanor she puts on is a longing for intimacy, passion, and connection. As her mental health improves, she is toying with the idea of dating but the road ahead is uncertain.
FEARS ⫻ Beneath Adora Phoenix-Prescott's confident facade is a wellspring of fear and terror that stretches far beyond the boundaries of her own control. Adora's most potent fear is the fear of being powerless in any situation, sending shivers down her spine. Then, there is her fear of vulnerability, which acts as an ever-present reminder of the pain she endured during and after Lisa's death. Most concerning is that storm of emotions that constantly resides in her that threatens to break out at any moment. Her grief, her guilt, her anxiety, and her anger constantly threaten to break free, and she finally loses control of herself and also loses herself. There is the fear of repeating the same mistakes and failing to protect the people she loves and cares about. However, these are not the sole sources of dread in Adora's mind, and underneath her resolute exterior is a web of anxieties.
REPUTATION IN OLD COVEN ⫻ Adora's reputation was a mixed bag, a mixture of admiration and friction. Adora and her friends Clementine and Vanessa were highly thought of for their contributions to the battle against the Stygian Snake. She was viewed as an instrumental element, and many adored them for saving countless lives. However, Adora's confrontational and outspoken nature made her a lightning rod for conflict, especially against those who mistreated or bullied others. Her confrontational nature also came with a protective one, and she didn't hesitate to challenge anyone who crossed the line. All of this was, to the agitation of many, tolerated because Adora was so instrumental in the fight against the Stygian Snake that the Old Coven couldn't afford to lose her. However, after Lisa's death, Adora chose to walk away for her own sake - unaware of her upcoming struggle with her mental health and journey of healing. In the end, Adora is largely unaware of the Coven's eventual fate and indifferent to it.
ROLE IN THE BATTLE WITH THE STYGIAN SNAKE ⫻ Adora played a significant role in the battle against the Stygian Snake, wielding the Trinity Ring alongside Clementine and Vanessa. Together, they saved countless lives, cleaved through hundreds of its minions, and even drove off the Apparition in some instances. However, in the final battle, Adora's shutdown after Lisa's death made her useless.
FLAWS ⫻ Adora's flaws are as numerous as they are complex, and at her core lies her battle-scarred psyche, plagued by PTSD stemming from witnessing Lisa's brutal death. This casts a long shadow over the girl that manifests in the form of various triggers - primarily by mentioning the events of the war against the Stygian Snake, Lisa's death, and other related events. Despite her seemingly unbreakable veneer, these triggers can send her spiraling. This trauma and her fear of vulnerability have made her reclusive and isolated her from people whom she wants to connect to and the support system she desperately needs. This stops her from reaching out to others for help and makes her retreat into solitude and do it alone. Her confrontational nature makes it worse; a shield against perceived threats also pushes people away. Adora tends to blame herself, even for events that are truly out of her control, but Adora rarely externalizes this. She keeps it to herself but always has that nagging like she's not good enough, or if she had done more, she could have prevented tragedies. Adora struggles with letting go of the past, whether it's lost loved ones or former mistakes. This inability to move on keeps her anchored to her trauma and prevents her from fully embracing the present and the future. Adora is, at times, rude and abrasive and speaks her mind without thinking about how others feel. This strains her relationships with others and makes it harder for her to connect with people. Adora is caught in a storm of contradiction and is teetering on the edge of self-destruction. As she grapples with insecurity, doubt, and, above all else, self-hatred because of her past failures, she pushes herself further and further past her limits to self-destructive levels.
Backstory ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ "I did it not for praise, but out of love."
A native of St. Portwell, Adora grew up in a house on the outskirts of St. Portwell that her grandfather owned and intended to pass down. Adora never knew her father, as her mother always told her that she got a "sperm donor."... there was that part of Adora that knew that she wasn't being literal, but as she grew up, she had little interest in finding out who her father was. She didn't need him, after all. Adora grew up following her mother's model, being outspoken and taking nothing from no one person. Her grandfather's more compassionate, nurturing nature... and Adora ended up being a weird mixture of both of them, with her traits. These three people gave Adora everything and did everything in their power to ensure she became a reasonable person in a world of horrible ones.
Though growing up, Adora was not a people person... not to say that she was introverted, but she was very outspoken and confrontational, even at a young age. Still, she was a very judgemental girl with high standards for herself and ensured that the people she surrounded were the best. The only friends she had growing up were the neighbor girls, Clementine and Vanessa Washington. They were two young, fun-loving, moral girls much like herself, but Adora was the more cool-headed one in their little cliche. They grew so attached that nothing would ever break them apart. However, this worried her mother, who pushed the young Adora towards activities - arts, sports, anything - that would help her develop social skills, and eventually, Adora ended up as a cheerleader in that cliche. However, she wasn't very popular with them as she was critical of the "popular" girl's bullying.
Especially of Lisa Turner.
Lisa Turner was a shy, socially awkward gal who wasn't liked by anyone and bullied by most. She had weird interests (like spiders, body horror, and other macabre things) and could never entirely hold on due to her clumsy demeanor. Adora knew she was bullied and would be there to give even the biggest and most challenging jocks a piece of her mind if they so much as tried anything on the girl. Though Adora only spoke with her in passing, she kept her eye on her - so did Vanessa and Clementine. However, after a certain point, Lisa began pulling back - hardly going to school - and Adora felt something was wrong. She wasn't one to assume the worst, but she had to do something.
The bullies knew where Lisa lived, and after interrogating one of them, Adora got Lisa's address. She skipped school herself, walked over to Lisa's, and calmly knocked on the door until someone answered. After a bit of chatting, Adora convinced Lisa's parents to let her talk to her, and Adora sat down next to Lisa on that bed and talked to her. Lisa told her everything about how miserable she was, how nobody liked her, and how she wished she was dead.
Adora couldn't have that.
Adora did everything she could to befriend Lisa by constantly talking to her and being the first person ever to be nice to her. She constantly talked to her on the phone, letting her nerd out about her niche interests and weird spider facts. Eventually, Adora managed to get Lisa to come back to school; anyone who dared look at Lisa the wrong way got a sharp scolding at best (at worse, Adora whoop their ass after school). Maybe it was out of stroking her ego and feeling good about herself, but Adora would do anything to save a life. Above all else, Adora felt happy that she brought light into someone's life; even if Lisa wasn't made in Adora's likeness, they developed a bond. She saw Lisa as a little sister, and she would do anything for her, which made Lisa eternally grateful.
However, one day, Lisa had something to show Adora, which Adora was hoping was not some love confession... and after Lisa showed her, she wished that it was. Lisa spit out a spider the size of a basketball like it was nothing! Adora, naturally, freaked out, and Lisa calmed her down by telling her that magic was real and that she had gained magic from getting pushed to the brink by her bullies. She wanted to show someone, and Adora just took off into the night - which hurt both of them. This pushed them apart for a little while, which Adora felt terrible about, but she kept it a secret to protect Lisa.
Around this time, Adora's grandfather died and told her that it was a part of his will that his house would be hers upon turning eighteen (yay!). However, on his deathbed, he also left her three golden rings and told them that they were his most prized possession and to keep them with her at all times. She promised that she would do it, and she donned all three rings, and whenever someone asked, she would tell them that they were her grandfather's. However, it didn't take long to realize that they... changed her. They made her stronger, faster, and tougher, from accidentally tearing a door off its hinges to knocking a pickup truck over and flying. It didn't take a genius to realize she had gotten superpowers.
The first thing she did was apologize to Lisa, and when she got to her house, it was difficult to get into the Turner household, but she managed to talk to Lisa face-to-face. Lisa initially wanted nothing to do with Adora, but she came around... then the Stygian Snake attacked her house. The two girls were shocked, paralyzed from fear, as they never saw anything like that before. Adora found the bravery inside herself to confront the monster and at least give Lisa time to escape - Adora was almost killed, and everything went dark. However, the Sycamore Tree Coven came in the knick of time and saved them, driving off the Stygian Snake, and Sully gave her a drink out of the Chalice to heal all of her wounds.
After Adora came, they found Lisa, introduced themselves as the Coven, and told them everything - alongside an invitation. The two accepted it, and Lisa was finally off making friends and learning more about herself! Adora was proud, but she fell into Britney William's hands... Britney examined the rings and told her they were the legendary Trinity Rings. Adora was using them wrong, and the three rings were intended to be used by three people to utilize their full strength. However, Adora was a prideful, vain, and stubborn young girl who didn't want anyone else touching her father's rings, Multi-dimensional entity or not. After much convincing, Adora roped her two friends, Clementine and Vanessa Washington, into the Coven and gave them the two rings.
That was not a decision that Adora regretted, as with the Trinity Rings, they were flying powerhouse, and they could tear apart the Stygian Snake's minions. However, they worked closely with Lisa Turner, who learned how to create powerful Spider Minions to counter the Stygian Snake's army. They battled monster after monster at night while hanging out with the Coven during whatever lull they could get. However, things changed during the day of the eclipse (the final battle), and Adora, Clementine, and Vanessa confronted the Stygian Snake first and head-on, boosted by Bianca, Greta, and the other abstraction boosters while everyone else got in position. They did some severe damage to the Stygian Snake alongside Daisy and the others, which made Adora highly confident in the plan. Lisa insisted on staying by Adora's side, providing minions to battle the Stygian Snake, and Adora was more than confident that she could protect Lisa.
Too confident.
The Stygian Snake managed to launch Adora away... leaving Lisa vulnerable. The Stygian Snake used its darkness to tear Lisa apart in front of everyone slowly. Adora desperately went in, tears flowing, deluding herself into thinking she could do anything. By the time she got there, Lisa was already in pieces, and Adora fell apart, cradling Lisa's dead body and crying her eyes out as everyone fought. She was removed from the battlefield and only heard that the Stygian Snake was defeated. Adora was crushed under the weight of it all... but she tried to participate in the old Coven. However, it was obvious that her heart wasn't in it, and she felt guilty for being unable to save Lisa after everything she did.
Adora quietly told the leadership that she was bowing out of the old Coven, and she didn't so much as speak to them afterward. PTSD wracked her, and she withdrew from all social circles, including her two closest friends. The death of Lisa haunted her, and whenever she tried to have fun, she could only see Lisa wherever she went. Adora took the ring off, as she didn't care about magic or any of this nonsense; she wanted Lisa back and became reclusive. If anyone recognized her, she would just run away.
Adora hardly left the house, and Adora's mother gave her some space, but she had to help her daughter... and convinced her to get therapy for her trauma. Working on herself through consoling wasn't easy; it was incredibly daunting and full of challenges - it seemed like she went back down every time she came up. It took her years before she stopped blaming herself for Lisa's death, and she eventually learned to forgive herself for Lisa's death. The depression went away in due time, but the nightmares didn't go away, nor did the attacks, no matter how hard she tried. It was something that she had to deal with.
As part of her healing process, Adora exited her self-imposed exile and contacted Vanessa and Clementine - who moved to the other side of the country. They were angry that she had ghosted them but were happy to hear about her journey. The conversation took a turn when Adora asked for the other two Trinity Rings, and they told her that they had given them to Sloane Faris before they left the Old Coven. Adora couldn't fault them as she failed to understand how important they were to her and figured she could get it from Sloane. However, Sloane refused, as Adora "gave up her duty," no matter how hard Adora asked for them and how Adora insulted her, Sloane refused to give up the rings. Eventually, Adora gave up, as she knew a losing battle when she saw one and just figured they'd be safe.
Adora just focused on her physical and mental health until the murders began. They brought back bad memories and caused a regression that caused Adora to go reclusive for a bit. She initially refused Auri's invitation, but she had to do something about the murders.
She couldn't watch as more people lost the people dear to them like Lisa was to her.
Abstraction ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ "... I'm going to STRANGLE Sloane."
TYPE ⫻ Aberration (Agent).
ABSTRACTION ⫻The Trinity Ring, a trio of three powerful rings that created a paranormal bond between three women that grants them flight, speed, super strength, and durability long as they remained close to each other. However, Adora only has one ring and gets a sliver of its true potential.
ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION ⫻ The Trinity Ring was a legendary artifact in the All-Verse created by the Amazons to protect their island. They created the rings to have three mighty guardians come to protect their island from any external intrusion, independent of any feuds the various Amazon tribes may be having. However, due to the planning and scheming of outsiders, all three threes were stolen from the island, and since then, they changed hands often - eventually landing in Adora's. Their primary function is to be distributed amongst three women, who are effectively Goddesses as long as they remain within five meters of each other. They each can fly at speeds that can be hard to perceive except by the keenest eye, strong enough to lift buildings, and can tank even the strongest Paranormal attacks (only the Stygian Snake had the raw power to stagger them). The battle with the Stygian Snake made Adora and her two friends powerhouses capable of making the Stygian Snake retreat with the help of some Abstraction boosting.
However, without someone to bear the other two rings, it's only a shell of the awe-inspiring strength... going from punching the Stygian Snake to only being able to carry a dresser up the stairs by herself. Adora only possesses one ring, which boosts her physical capabilities to being slightly her normal capabilities, which is nothing compared to some of the supernatural feats others are capable of. However, there was an oversight in the design of the Trinity Ring: if one put on all rings, they would get a power boost that would be nothing to the Ring's peak but still a significant power boost. Adora can see the auras of anyone wearing the rings as long as they are in her field of vision and are nearly unbreakable.
Below is all that Adora can do if she dons the three rings:
ONE RING ⫻ Adora's current level. With just one Trinity Ring, Adora receives a slight boost to her physical capabilities. She can lift about 200 pounds with ease, enough to move heavier furniture or carry someone over her shoulder. In terms of durability, she can take a punch or two from a grown man before going down, and it takes more force to cause her harm with a knife or other sharp objects. Her speed increases slightly, allowing her to run faster than usual, but nothing that anyone (not even herself) can notice. The most paranormal aspect of having one ring is her ability to fly, which is quite slow; anyone can outwalk it leisurely. However, she is capable of hovering in place as long as necessary.
TWO RINGS ⫻ With two rings, Adora's physical capabilities increase dramatically. Her strength allows her to lift around 1200 pounds overhead, and her durability allows her to shrug off mundane attacks short of a firearm. Adora's sprinting speed reaches about 20 miles per hour, and her flight becomes useful, allowing her to fly at about the same speed she can sprint.
THREE RINGS ⫻ When Adora wears all three Trinity Rings, she gains significantly enhanced abilities, but not to the point of invincibility. Her strength allows her to lift about 2000 pounds overhead, meaning she can move smaller vehicles with some strained effort. Attacks that would take others out merely bounce off her, leaving her unscathed, as she can tank supernatural strikes and low-caliber rounds. Adora's sprinting speed increases to around 30 miles per hour, and her flight speed reaches a maximum of 60 miles per hour.
LIMITS ⫻ As stated all over the Abstraction section... Adoras will never be able to reach the peaks of the Trinity Ring without giving the two other rings to other people. However, that's not viable as Adora has no one she can trust; she doesn't want to lose the rings again, and the rings are currently MIA as they were a part of Sloane's stolen collection. Even if Adora gets all three rings, she will operate at a fraction of her true power. Also, they can only be used by women.
WEAKNESSES ⫻ Working against the Trinity Ring's intended functions will not go well for Adora, as utilizing the Trinity Ring will cause a decline in Adora's body functions. If she uses the ring's power for over a few seconds, she'll experience dizziness, headaches, vomiting, and bleeding from the nose. These are the milder end of the scale as the further she pushes herself, the worse these effects will get... ending with temporary blindness, organ failure, and vomiting blood. If Adora goes all out, it can quickly kill her. The more rings she has on, the worse these effects will get, and the quicker she'll get to the worst side effects.

Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on Britney Williams:You know, back in the day I thought that Britney was my friend, a sister. Then I heard about her true colors, what she did to Luca, and how she gave bastards like Emily G. Reed and Vashti Nour new avenues to be a monster. She's a walking contradiction, doc. She portrays as this fuckin' beacon of hope and compassion, only to turn out that she was manipulating everyone all along.
It's like she used it as a fuckin' weapon, doc, only using it as a weapon to fit her agendas. It's infuriating. To act like you're serving the "greater good" only for her definition to change to whatever suits her goddamn needs. You never know what she got up her sleeve... what she will do next. She acts untouchable, but trust me, I will bring her back to earth the hard way. The worst part is that we need her despite it all. We need her help. Her expertise. Her knowledge. Suppose we're going to get out of this in one piece.
I just wished I did more to stop her.

Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on Drake & Jade Blackmore:Drake Blackmore... what an arrogant, impulsive, dickhead.
He always acted like some hero, Doc, flexing his muscles and grinning, like he would solve all our problems himself. Not just that, he always had to do things his way, consequences be damned, and everyone else refused to let FAFO bring his ass back down to earth. I couldn't stand him, nor his dumbass family that couldn't keep his ass in line. It also pissed me off that Ashley, Auri, and Daisy always just let him get away with his bullshit. It's no wonder he's spiraling now, Doc; it's only a matter of time until you get another client. Heh, want me to recommend him to you?
Oh, I'm getting off track here. But, Jade, just saying her name makes me sad. I know she chose a toxic meathead for a husband - that was her decision - but Jesus... she saved so many people with her magic. She taught other people, like Lisa, how to heal, and there was more that made her special than just her magic. She believed in people and the goodness of others, and she never gave up on anyone, even in our darkest hours. There was an allure to it... I'm keeping this between us, Doc, but I had a crush on her back in the day - the issue was that she was glued to Blackmore's hip. She tried to reach out to me a few times after I left, but I always brushed her off.
Maybe I shouldn't have. Maybe I could have saved her.

Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on Alizée Alteri:There was always thought about her that made my damn skin crawl. I never liked her anyway; she dragged a damn child into the fight against a world-ending horror, doc. Though, I always kept her at arm's length. Lisa didn't like her either. From what Britney and the others told me, I was right not to trust her. She was going around preying on innocents... but she's gone now. There's nothing I can do about that.
Maybe if I had known about it when I was stronger, I could have done something about it.

"She could have learned a thing or two from her brother." _______________________________________________
Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on Linqian Han:She's a complex one. I didn't like her back then; I didn't like her brother. He was a coward, doc. Like, what kind of dick headstands on the sidelines, playing with his dick while his sister fights for her life? She didn't like it when I said it to his face and tried to put her hands on me. It didn't go well for the bitch, but since then, we just kept fighting - she started it half the time, and it was almost like she didn't take any of this seriously. Dealing with her back in the day was exhausting. She's exhausting
But that was in the past; we're both big girls now dealing with our problems - well, I am, at least. The way she started fucking around with her friend directly after Auri just announced someone died pissed me off. This ain't a fucking pow-wow. People are dying. It's like it's all a game to her until it personally affects her, then she decides to be serious.
I want nothing to do with her, doc. I see her ex felt the same way.

"You want to be the leader, and yet I had to press you to come and admit that you lost the artifacts...?" _______________________________________________
Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on Sloane Faris:Sloane... I never liked Sloane. When I met her, she had this constant-ass aura of "I'm better than you," which was sickening. It took one conversation with her ass to tell her that we were not going to get along. Sloane-y always acted like she was a force for good, but to me, it always felt like a cover for something else - Which makes it worse because she knows that she ain't shit. I never figured out what because I made the conscious choice to stay away from her ass. She was friends with Lisa back in the day... somehow, and for the good of both of us, I just had to keep my distance from her. But, with Lisa gone, Doc, I can't say I trust her.
I mean, when I politely asked for the other two rings back, she told me to go fuck myself and refused. She didn't care and blocked me even when I told her how much they meant to me. And look how that worked out for her, Doc? Dumbass got robbed and lost the rings anyway! Now, because of her, I'm missing two of the other rings, they could be lost forever, and she still acts like her shit don't stink.
Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on Tayla Choi:Honestly, Doc, I can't remember this bitch for the life of me. I see her around, and I notice that she ain't done shit so far. I'm not sure if she can't or won't - but the point is that if you're going to sit here on your ass, then you need to get the hell out of here.
We are literally getting cut down, Doc; we don't need dead weight.

"I wonder if he's still the same egotistical snake he always was." _______________________________________________
Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on Greyson Devola:Edict, I never liked him, Doc. We were in two separate circles in the Old Coven, but I got enough of him.
He bankrolled the Coven and got us the robes and the old lair and shit. At first, he was just a regular-ass guy to me, but once you peel back the layers... he's a snake. A bastard. He's a manipulator, always trying to get into your head and make you feel like the most important person in the room. But it was a tool for him to get what he wanted from you. I never trusted him,. He’s got this way of worming into your head, making you second-guess everything. Every conversation with him is like a chess match, and you don’t even realize you’re playing until he's bled you of everything of use and tossed you aside. He always has something up his sleeve, always a step ahead. And the worst part? We needed him. We needed his connections, his money, his influence, and his goddamn magic.
I hate to admit it, but we wouldn't have had half the intel or resources without him. He's good at what he does; I'll give him that. But it doesn't mean I have to like it. Or him. I told myself if he ever did anything to Lisa, I would tear his head off in front of everyone. But... I rarely, if ever, see his ass at the meetings, though, doc, but when I do, I can't help but wonder what he's up to, what he's planning, and what he actually wants.
If he really thinks he's untouchable, he's got another thing coming.
Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on Jack Hawthorne:Ugh... just thinking about him sends a tingle down my spine.
Deep down, it's not like I don't trust him - or maybe I don't. His eccentrics, the way the shadows dance at his fingertips, the way he travels through the darkness - reminds me too much of the Stygian Snake. This brings up other bad memories, and I would rather not face them right now. But it's almost like he modeled himself after the damned thing, doc! Jack's magic is too similar for it to be a coincidence, but... I can't help but say we need him with all the murders. His knowledge of magic, his power... We need that if we get out of this in one piece. It seems like he's one of the few people who give a damn, so that's a plus.
But was I trusting him? That’s a whole 'nother discussion, Doc. He’s always been an enigma to me, that weird-ass mix of brilliance and madness - Though, Lisa wasn't that different. Cross that off the transcripts for me, Doc. I can’t deny that he’s saved our asses more times than I can count. When we fought the Stygian Snake, he pushed back the damned things forced with the same ass energy as me. He lost a fuckin' arm for crying out loud, doc! How could I not respect that?
Yet, the fear lingers. Because deep down, I can’t shake the feeling that we’re playing with fire. Jack’s magic and connection to the Void is... dangerous. I'm not a magical expert, but what happens if he goes too deep? What happens if that magic he throws around is controlling him?
I have to push those thoughts aside. Focus on what’s important. Jack ain't give me a reason not to trust him. His weird-ass eccentrics are just part of who he is - just like Lisa's were part of hers. And right now, we need every bit of his weird ass to survive this. I know he’s fighting for the same thing I am, and it's just my trauma pushing him away.
So, I’ll trust him. But I'll also watch him. I may not be able to stop him right now.

Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on Sully McPherson: swear, just thinking about him makes me want to roll my eyes. He never took anything seriously, always joking or throwing some stupid-ass party. And during the fight with the Stygian Snake? God, I wanted to grab him by his collar, shake him hard as the Trinity Ring would allow, and scream at him to come back down to Earth and realize what the fuck was at stake.
Yet, I can't help but respect the guy... The moment that'll stick with me for the rest of my life: The Stygian Snake attacked me and Lisa. I had no goddamn clue about Magic or what was even going on. Lisa ran away. I was fighting for my life. The Stygian Snake impaled me... I thought it was over. He pulled me out of the fire. And shoved that disgusting, herpe-ridden cup into my mouth and saved me. Like, for real, doc! I still got the scars!Adora lifted her shirt, revealing the scar on her midsection, before lowering her shirt.Feel lucky, Doc. You're the only person I trust seeing that.... but it’s annoying. How can someone be so irritating but so indispensable at the same time?
I take everything seriously. I pride myself on my ability to give a shit when fighting for our lives became a popularity contest. On the other hand, Sully seems to bumble through life, late to everything and forgetting plans, yet he always comes through when we need him. It’s like he’s got this guardian angel watching over him, Doc, making sure he's always in the right place at the right time. Yet, he's got heart. He cares. Underneath all the jokes and the goofiness, there’s a hero in there. A hero who might just be what we need to face whatever comes next.
So, as much as I might want to smack him upside the head sometimes, I can’t help but respect him.
Leon.Richoux
"So what did happen to your pops?" _______________________________________________
Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on Leon Richoux:Yeah, I still remember Leon, Doc. How could I forget about him? He's fucking huge! I knew about him before the Old Coven because I trained under his pops. Yet... I always had a hard time connecting to him. He usually hung around Blackmore, though, so I kept my distance because I Didn't want to start any more fights with Blackmore. It was obvious that the two of us are completely different people, but I hardly see his ass when we do Coven stuff. It makes me wonder what's so important...
Though, our paths crossed at the Halloween Festival after that dickhead Trisha decided to try me. I was beating the breaks off her, and he pulled me off her. While I wish he didn't - at that moment - I respect him for that.
Stormy.Carson
"It was my fault Lisa died. And only my fault." _______________________________________________
Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on Stormy Carson:Stormy... He was skinny back in the day, but now? He's built like a fucking mountain. It's obvious he takes care of himself. But, despite looking tough as nails, a kindness to him betrayed it all. Not just that, he's always been a protector; I'm not sure how magic works, but he got the right color of Lux or whatever the fuck it is. I've seen it... Him in action is something I'll never forget, him fighting the Stygian Snake and throwing up his barriers to keep us safe - that was the thing about him. He was determined to keep us safe, which drew me to him in the past. When I was a young gal, I had feelings for him, his compassion, his dedication; it was impossible not to get feelings for him. Yet, I never acted on those feelings, Doc. I knew we had more important things to handle, and I'm confident he never saw me the way I saw him.
But now? I noticed he hasn't changed much, and that's good. He still wants to protect us. And he cares, especially when no one else does. We haven't talked, but I reached out to him - hopefully because I wasn't just lonely Doc. I'm unsure if I'm in the right frame of mind to do anything with him, but I still feel some attachment to the guy, Doc.
It just wouldn't be fair to either of us if I'm not ready.
Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on Anya Baksh:I never interacted with her back in the day, and for good reason. She was yet another snake-like Greyson... I wouldn't be surprised if the two of them are fucking, but again they both have moon-sized egos. But, I can tell she's only in it for herself and doesn't care about anyone else - maybe her homegirl Sloane, but I doubt it. Anya always acted like she was untouchable, above everyone else, but she ain't do a damn thing in the Old Coven, and she ain't do a damned thing now. That's the most annoying part, this bitch sits on her ass but acts like her shit don't stink! There's got to be an angle that bitch is playing, Doc. I know it. But I'll be damned if I let her walk all over us without a fight.
Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on Evelynn Serenelight:I... don't remember her, Doc. The Coven gave me a lot to forget, but I see her around Lila. I'm starting to remember.
Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on Lila Blackwood:I don't remember her a whole lot, either, Doc... Well, maybe because I remember her as someone different, but that's a whole 'nother discussion. She's the only person who reached out and tried to bring me up to speed when that goofball Auri dipped. I can tell that she cares. I can tell that she thinks highly of me... but it makes me feel like shit when I repress the mere memory of her. That's a bit fucked up on my part. But I know that Emily is out for her ass; I don't know why, though, but... I can't hold a match to Emily G. Reed and Vashti Nour, but I'll do everything in my power to keep her safe from harm.
Lihn Phan's Session Transcript - Adora's Reflections on Jasper Wilde:Don't remember him. He hangs around Lila and Lynn, and that's as far as I know. Maybe I should have a conversation or two with him.
Maybe it'd do me some good.
Layla.Hyacinthus
"If what Brit says is correct, we need to get rid of her." _______________________________________________
Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on Layla Hyacinthus:Hardly remember Layla, Doc. Well, I do... she was the kid that creepy bitch Alizee dragged into the Old Coven, and that was the start of me riding her. But I don't think I ever talked to Layla... and that goes for current-day Coven, too. I always thought there was something off about her, but Brit says she works for the House of Cards. Now, I don't trust Britney, but I know there's something up with Layla's creepy ass. If it's true, she's out. I don't care. She gotta go. I don't know anything about the House of Cards, but I wouldn't say I like the sound of them.
Because we got enough problems on our plate as is without some dumbass adding to it.
Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on Luna Inoue:[I'll write this after I finish the collab with esty but lemme say they're probably not going to be good]
Aislin.Rose
"She's a wide-eyed idealist... I wish I could say that was a good thing." _______________________________________________
Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on Aislin Rose:I feel bad that I didn't recognize her at first, but its also been ten years since I have seen her. She was a breath of fresh air in the Old Coven... she always acted like nothing fazed her. And I don't mean that in the way; goofballs and annoys just downplayed everything. She was a beacon of hope, kindness, and compassion - one that helped us in our darkest hours. I remember her as Lisa's friend more than anything, so I don't think I interacted with her much. Though I ran into her at the Halloween Festival and reconnected... she's still the same. I'll admit, I look up to Aislin. She's kind. Hopefully, nothing phases her. Something I wish I could be, but I also wonder if she's just a bit too... Peachy? Little Miss Sunshine? I'm not sure if she'll be that useful right now.
Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on Kenshiro Murakin:I... vaguely remember him. I remember some Asian guy teaching Lisa some magic. But a few people were teaching Lisa. I've seen how he acted at Kari's house... he's taking her loss hard. I feel some shared sympathy for the guy...
... Yet, I also see a bit of a mirror. And that's not a good thing.
Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on Aryin/Aaron Thorne:Don't remember him... her... but I didn't like she and Linqian were fucking off directly after it was announced someone dead. Like, can you pick any other time to fucking goof off?
I got a feeling we'd be better without him... her... damn it.
Amara.King
"I still need to get a feel for you..." _______________________________________________
Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on Amara King:I forgot her... but, she seems like a hard charger. A shot caller. She reached out to not only to ask me where the other rings were but also to help me with Luca. Yet, I need to get a better feel for her before I start depending on her, Doc.
Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on Bébé Rochefoucauld:Now, the Old Coven had some real characters... Emily G. Reed, George Nelson, Hagan Rosefey, those rich dickheads, but somehow Bé takes the cake. I mean, he's cute, but I could never look at the condescending bastard without wanting to punch him in the face like he fucking deserved! Like Sloane and Anya, he had this air of being better than everyone else - so you know I feel about dickheads like that. He was ice-cold, didn't give a damn about nobody - I honestly think he was a sociopath, Doc, like for real. I remember when he was being a dick to Lisa and her friends, and I cursed him out right then and there. He just acted like I was just an annoying background noise.
Thankfully, I ain't seen him around, which is good because the "reformed" Coven is negative enough as is. Though, if I ever have to deal with Bébé again, it'll be too soon.
The.Void.Heart
"Never trusted Apparitions. You're just as bad as the Stygian Snake." _______________________________________________
Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on The Void Heart:I don't know much about this thing, but from what I heard it was bad news. I always thought that thing was up to no good. Same with its host. Now, the House of Cards is pissed because we sealed a problematic Apparition.
It's just another problem on a list of problems. Good grief.
Lisa.Turner
"Please know that I'm so sorry, Lisa. I'm sorry for failing you." _______________________________________________
Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on Lisa Turner:L-Lisa... I can't think about her without getting sad. I can't think about her without thinking about that day. I can't believe that out of all the people that the world could have gone without - it was her that died. I... see her wherever I go. I have nightmares about that day, about what happened to her, and I can't help but wake up, down some alcohol until I can't feel anything else, and then try to push on with my day, doc. I know you said not to do that, but... I... I should maybe talk about Lisa herself and not wallow in self-pity.
The gal was always the odd one, obsessed with spiders and other weird stuff. Ah... I remember how she always showed me this weird art, and I freaked out about it the first time, but then, over time, I just shrugged it off. I'm getting off track here; her obsession with spiders was weird but impressive. She knew everything about them - to the point where she modeled her whole magic around spiders. I don't understand how magic works, but the magic she got was a match made in heaven, right, doc?
Growing up without any friends is tough as is, but then she was bullied by everyone and their mother. I knew it was because she didn't have the strength to defend herself, and people love weakness. It broke my heart knowing what she was going through. She never caught a break until I came into the picture, Doc; I thought at first I was helping her but realized I grew attached to her... not in that way; I saw her as like the weird-ass little sister I never had but always wanted. She got brought into the Old Coven, and I saw her blossom. I saw that she finally had what she wanted, even though I had to be there to keep assholes that tried to take advantage of her in line, Doc.
It was something... from a recluse who was almost bullied to suicide to a warrior. Seeing her riding those spiders into a battle with her two little friends was... adorable. She found her strength. She found her people. She finally found where she was accepted, Doc. And then it was snatched away from her... all because I was stupid. Reckless. Lisa... I had to watch what happened to her. While desperately hoping I can get in there to save her... and by the time I got there, Doc, I...Adora began crying and wiped away her tears. She had seven minutes for herself before she continued.... I was too late. What hurts the most is that I did so much to help her, only to lose her in the end. Her body... I'm... I'm... let's stop here, Doc.
Let's talk about anything else.
Ella.Brooks
"Rest in Peace, Ella. Hopefully, you'll find yourself in a better world than this." _______________________________________________
Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on Ella Brooks:I admit, I always thought Ella was annoying back in the day. She was just a cringy-ass weirdo who watched too much anime for her good. But, despite it all, she was one of Lisa's friends - her best friend. For that, she earned my respect and protection, Doc. I watched over her as I watched over Lisa, even though I didn't feel the same about her as I felt about Lisa. I kept the assholes of her whenever I could, but... then I heard that she got ripped to shreds by Apparitions, and yet I couldn't feel but responsible for it.
I should have been there to help her; after all, Doc. She was an annoying weirdo who lived in a fantasy world, but she was just a girl. She had heart, passion, and wanted to help us. She dove head first into danger when she had all the reason - and right - just to run away and save herself. Nobody thinks about it like that, Doc. They focus on what they want to focus on. Lisa was crushed when she heard about her death. She didn't leave her room until the final battle, then Saskia went down... I know you say I should stop, but it was my fault that she died.
I should have done more, been better, been faster.
Saskia.Otten
"I'm going to remember them not for their death but the fire that was within them. I think it's still burning somewhere out there..." _______________________________________________
Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on Saskia Otten:Saskia was... something. A fucking weirdo. They always cracked these dry-ass jokes and tried to make light of it. They were a bit like Lisa because they were misunderstood loners who found their people. Then, they found themselves. I never got to know them, only heard second-hand from Lisa... but fate is one cruel bitch, and I found out that they bled to death fighting the Stygian Snake's minions. Everyone likes to say that it was Blackmore's fault, but I was the one that failed Saskia. Lisa was crushed when she heard about their death.
... But Saskia deserved more than my pity. They deserved to be here.
Kari.Wilson
"Kari deserved better than what I gave her." _______________________________________________
Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on Kari Wilson:Kari was... special. Just thinking about her makes me sad. She was a sweet gal. She had a heart of gold and was always there to be a listening ear. She cared, Doc. I saved her and Elsa's life, you know. Back then, she brought a smile to my face more than once. We owed a lot to Kari for finding that damn sword, but she was a friend to me. I know they worked her, but she did it all because she cared about us and knew we were her people, and she didn't want anyone to get hurt. She was one of Lisa's friends, one of her closest.
After I left the Old Coven, I ran into Kari at a supermarket... I was honestly caught off guard by it. I tried to go, but she made conversation, gave me her number, and hit me at my house a few times to drop off things like some cake - which was delicious but... No one else from the Old Coven, except Jade, made any attempt to check up on me - but in their defense, I didn't make it easy. And that was the point. I was done with the Old Coven, Doc. I was done with magic. I was done with everything that came with it, Doc. The Old Coven brought up too many bad memories. Even her, and she was sweet. She was a genuinely good person.
Kari was trying to be my friend, and she let me know how we were both in the same boat, how we felt about Lisa, and the loss we both felt. She wanted to help me, and I knew it. Yet, I still pushed her away, Doc. I thought it was for my own sake. I couldn't bear to let her see the mess of a person I was, and I thought I was better off alone. Looking back, I made a mistake. I knew she was trying to help me, and if I had just let her in, maybe she would still be around. She deserved it, Doc. She saw past the trainwreck of a person I was, and she was determined to help me even though I didn't want it.
Now she's gone... or is she? I was there when her ghost claimed she didn't know us - which is weird. I'm... conflicted. I'm hoping she's not Father Wolf and that she's alive, but Doc, if she is alive...
... Well, we all know this doesn't have a happy ending, doc.
Trisha.Vanburen
"I almost projectile vomited the last time I saw her." _______________________________________________
Lihn Phan's Session Transcripts - Adora's Reflections on Trisha Vanburen:A spoiled ass brat. She was a liability in the Old Coven, and I'm glad she refused Auri's call. She was a spoiled, insecure brat, and she was obsessed with making it our problem. She always wanted to act like she was better than everyone else, but she was just as broken and lost as everyone else in the Old Coven. Anyone with two brain cells can see that she desperately wants Daddy's love but doesn't get it, so she takes it out on the rest of us. She always projected out instead of in... unfortunately, people were dropping like flies, so we had to tolerate useless idiots like her.
I repressed the thought about her for my own sake, but unfortunately, I ran into her miserable ass at the Halloween Festival. And... she's just as bad as ever. She mocked me for losing Lisa - garbage like her shouldn't be allowed even to mutter her name - and I just lost control of myself. I know, Doc... I shouldn't have let her bring me down to her level. And I know that I'm better than her.
Again, we should never have to deal with each other ever again.
"With all this power, what good is it if we can't protect the people we care about?"
_______________________________________________ Drake Dean Blackmore
He/Him | 26 | British/Japanese. | 5'11ft | 197lb _______________________________________________ Integrity. _______________________________________________ Skills & Talents "I couldn't save Jade, so what good am I?" ___________________________________
Basketball ⫻ Growing up, Drake was the star of his basketball team... at least when he played it. He played a ton of Basketball, officially for his school or just on the streets, and he was pretty good at it. He often practices shots to relieve stress, but even he realizes he's out of his element.
Fist-Fighting ⫻ Drake was always a trouble-starting shithead, and fights were pretty easy to come across in his hometown. He's a pretty good scrapper, even without martial arts training.
Social-Butterfly ⫻ Drake's pretty good when it comes to people; he's grown up his entire life being at the forefront of his family and getting to know a variety of different people. He knows how to deal with people and knows that a lot of problems can be solved by being a listening ear.
Firearms ⫻ Drake likes guns... he's a mean shot with a pistol, and don't ask me what he can do with a carbine.
Appearance ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ "Ladies, off the market indefinitely."
Drake carries a youthful and energetic aura around him; almost as if he is still a teenager, he still has the same energy. He's ready for anything exciting to go down, and his movements are quick and spastic; he can't seem to hold down all of that energy within him. However, he kind of acts like a model (a very goofy ahh) model as he's prone to making melodramatic poses, almost as if someone is taking a picture of him. It's weird. Though he has a great, well-shaped body from years of athleticismsm and bodybuilding, he will gladly remove his shirt and flex if you ask.
He's exceptionally well-built, and his body has complemented his body shape well, though I will say his legs are the most defined because Drake was a runner before anything else. And he has a great ass, and his weiner is eight inches long. He is around the average height of a Caucasian male. Speaking of Caucasian, Drake is British and Japanese, but you wouldn't be able to tell given that he looks one hundred percent white other than the fact that his eyes are slanted. His skin is coated with various scars because he is a rough player when playing sports. His elbows are shit because he fell on them a lot, his knees are covered in nasty scabs, and his knuckles are scarred and bruised from fist fighting. His teeth are also very shitty because he's missing a few, and he should have gone to the dentist more. Regardless, the Blackmore Family has excellent genes.
Drake Blackmore, here is a connoisseur of jackets! His favorite hobby is finding a cool ass jacket and flaunting it, his favorite being leather jackets. He dresses pretty simply, wearing jeans or shorts and a T-shirt with a jacket. He doesn't do the whole accessory thing except for sunglasses and his gloves... though Drake wears a wedding on his right hand and a silver ring that says ADAM on his index finger.
Psychology ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ "I'll do anything to get my hands on that bastard Wolf Father, or whatever the fuck he calls himself! He's dead."
MAIN GOAL ⫻ Drake's primary goal in life was to find himself a purpose... as he spent his life running around, living it up, and now is wondering if that's how his legacy is going to be. He did not want to end up as nothing more than a party boy, so he decided to build something new with his wife, Jade, and continue the Blackmore legacy. However, now that Jade was murdered by Father Wolf, his new goal is to put the bastard six feet under, regardless of the costs.
PHILOSOPHY ⫻ Drake believes that everyone needs to have a purpose in life and to strive for something - except Drake doesn't know what his purpose is. Drake also has a personal creed to help people and positively impact the world, even if it is at the cost of himself. He tries to work towards improving society and protecting innocents who couldn't otherwise protect themselves. This is not rooted in Drake's arrogance but a genuine desire to help people. So, yeah, Drake has a little bit of a hero complex.
SECRETS ⫻ Drake keeps his trauma and grief a secret and pushes on as if it doesn't exist - he knows he cannot be vulnerable as people are relying on him. So he puts on a veneer of a happy-go-lucky bruiser when, in actuality, he's about to fall apart. Drake also keeps the fact that he was a vigilante who prowled the streets of St. Portwell for hostile Paranormal beings a secret.
SEXUALITY ⫻ Drake is as straight as an arrow, baby! Though, Drake hasn't been feeling all that sexual in the face of the death of his wife, Jade.
FEARS ⫻ Drake's little hero complex makes him deeply afraid of being unable to save someone - and he has failed to keep someone in the past during the battle with the Stygian Snake. He carries the weight of responsibility, and the fear of failure haunts him. Most importantly of all, Drake sincerely fears losing another member of the Blackmores.
REPUTATION IN OLD COVEN ⫻ Drake was seen favorably... in terms of his character. You see, during the fight with the Stygian Snake, Drake had made a lot of bad decisions that required him to be bailed out. Some members saw him as nothing more than an impulsive meathead, a liability, and he was in danger of being kicked out a few times. While others looked up to his bravery, moral character, and desire to help whenever he could. However, after the Stygian Snake's defeat, Drake left shortly after as he did not like the direction the Sycamore Tree Coven was going. He only accepted Auri's call because he wanted to put that bastard Father Wolf in a box after he killed his wife.
ROLE IN THE BATTLE AGAINST THE STYGIAN SNAKE ⫻ Both a boon and a burden, Drake has participated in the many battles against the Stygian Snake using his Red-Lux spells. He is a powerhouse with his lightning spells but has made many reckless decisions... such as, after the death of his father Adam, going to face the Stygian Snake by himself and nearly getting killed. The Coven had to band together to bail him out of this mess, and several other times, Drake made a rash decision, and it blew up in his face. Fortunately, he survived - Unfortunately, it led to a good chunk of the group utterly despising him.
FLAWS ⫻ Now, Drake is a very headstrong and overly confident man; if there's something that Drake has set his mind to, it's very hard to talk him out of it. This has gotten him into deep trouble in the battle against the Stygian Snake, and nearly killed him a few times. Drake is also not good with authority and usually ends up just doing things his way - which has caused a lot of friction in the Old Coven. Drake has gotten better, but old habits die hard, and they're deeply engrained into his personality. Drake refuses to open up and ask for help, and will, even if it kills him, handle things on his own - and keeps his emotions bottled up whenever possible. Now, Drake has a deep-rooted hero complex, and that is one thing that's not going to change; he just has to be the one to save the day. He'll jump to help and protect people with his magic, even when it's detrimental to himself. There's just a certain excitement to him going out and fighting "evil."
Backstory ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ "First, my dad... I must learn to live without Jade."
Drake comes from the Blackmore lineage, a family of Adepts that go back to the Middle Ages and was one of the few families blessed by the Bull. Drake's father, Adam, was a second-generation immigrant from Britain who moved to the United States of America in hopes of finding a better life. He ended up in St. Portwell, where he met his future wife, Lisa Takahashi, and they had four kids: Victoria, Drake, Amanda, and Charles. Adam worked for the big businesses, had an excellent six-figure job, and guaranteed the Blackmore siblings the happiest life he could! Drake, however, was the most athletic and outgoing out of the Blackmore siblings, with his little sister Amanda being second. However, Drake was a nerd for medieval literature, even the corny stories where the knight goes to save the princess! He wanted to be a modern-day knight by upholding the ideals of kindness, gentlemanliness, and honor! Though Drake was a beast in whatever sport he played, he was inclined to Basketball! He tells people he was the star player on his school's basketball team, which led to his Kindling Event after winning the championship! It was spooky, and he talked to his father, Adam, who told him that Drake was the last of the siblings to gain an Abstraction.
Damn it.
Adam mentored his children, taking them out into the woods during the weekends to train them in their abstractions, and found that Drake had an affinity towards electricity and lightning! Naturally, Drake made spells where he could create semi-solid swords, axes, and other weapons made out of electricity. It was badass! Drake felt like he was finally becoming a knight... and his fantasies were about to take a very serious turn when a "dragon" came to St. Portwell. That "dragon" being the Stygian Snake, and Drake's first encounter with it was when Amanda desperately called Drake, saying that a group of monsters was attacking her and her friends. Drake quickly grabbed Victoria and Charles, and the three went to Amanda's friend's house.
Despite having magic, they were quickly overwhelmed by the horde of Abominable and Apparitions... until Adam stepped in and incinerated the monsters with a barrage of spells. However, the Stygian Snake had shown up, and Adam was forced to retreat with his children despite being a high-level Adept. Drake decided that he would defeat the Stygian Snake, and this was his journey! Drake ventured out at night and battled the Stygian Snake's minions - eventually getting caught by his older sister, Victoria, who had a better idea. Victoria had learned that a group of Paranormal teenagers, led by her friends Ashley, Daisy, and Auri, was forming to battle the Stygian Snake, and the Blackmore siblings couldn't resist but join the battle.
The Blackmores were under that very sycamore tree when the Coven had formed their pact, and they were some of the founding members of the Sycamore Tree Coven. They participated in battle after battle with the Stygian Snake, to no progress, and the being was getting even stronger. The Coven split up into several "battle parties" to go out and battle the Stygian Snake's minions, and usually, the Blackmores were together (with Drake calling them the "Blackmore Party"). One night, the Blackmore Party went out, and the Stygian Snake was sighted chasing a girl named Jade West, whom Drake had known from his class. The others thought she was a goner, but Drake went out and distracted the Stygian Snake long enough for Jade to get away. This caused the Apparition to turn its attention onto Drake and required him to be saved by the rest of the Coven.
Afterward, Drake found Jade, and the Coven patched up her injuries. he then told her about the Coven, and she asked to join - only on the condition she worked alongside Drake exclusively in this "Blackmore Party." A girl named Britney Williams told them about a few artifacts... and Drake went fuck that. He didn't believe that the artifacts existed and that it was a waste of time to search for them - in addition to not trusting the All-Verse. He was a part of the group that stayed beyond to keep the Stygian Snake's minions in check - but Victoria went with the group to find the Apparition Killer and Bull's ring. She told Drake not to do anything stupid and assured her everything would be okay.
However, dimensions moved at different times, and Victoria was gone for a couple of days... one night, the Stygian Snake attacked the Blackmore household and specifically targeted Adam. Drake was out with the Blackmore Party (minus one) and didn't even realize it was at the Blackmore household until he saw it in the sky. They rushed back, and they found Adam dying in the front yard when they returned. Drake and the Blackmores rushed to save their father, but he died from his injuries before they could do anything. This devestated the Blackmores, and they were frozen in shock - However, this made Drake mad. He rushed after the Stygian Snake, even after people begged him not to go, to finish the bastard once and for all...
... and got thoroughly trounced.
Drake was almost dead when the entire Coven, including the members on the expedition to the other universes, returned. A massive battle ensued in which members of the Coven were lost, but Drake was saved, and Jade had patched up his injuries. Though, the Sycamore Tree Coven were really pissed off at him for what he did. However, with the day of the eclipse the next day, they had little time to reprimand Drake and rushed to battle the Stygian Snake, which Ashley stabbed with the Apparition Killer while Drake pounded it with lightning. After the Snake had slithered to the tree they formed under, they completed the ritual and sealed the Apparition in the Sycamore Tree, freeing the world from its menace. Afterward, Drake agreed to have his memories wiped off its location and became a part of the Coven.
Many arguments and insults were thrown around, and Drake expected the Coven to go after other Apparitions. Instead, they floundered around while other bad guys were pooling into the city of St. Portwell to replace the Stygian Snake. From how Drake saw it, it was only a matter of time before another Apparition like the Snake reared its head, and the Coven should prepare for it. Not just that, but Drake had a problem with Britney Willaims forcing Apparitions and curses onto people and Daisy dragging a ten-year-old to fight a world-ending problem. So... Drake left the Coven reasonably early on and didn't as much as shed a tear when he found out that it had collapsed.
Jade left alongside Drake and confessed that she had feelings for Drake, and the two began dating shortly after. Drake was still grieving the loss of his father, and Jade was there to help him while he was unsure of what to do with his life. Drake didn't want to go to college, so he became a police officer for the St. Portwell Police Department because it was his way to make a difference and keep the community safe. However, Drake knew that the monsters were in his backyard and quickly put together a makeshift costume, so on his days off, he would go out at night and patrol the streets for hostile Paranormal beings. He was battling them with his abstraction and sealing Apparitions and throwing them into the ocean where they couldn't bother anyone else. It was a delicate process balancing his job as a police officer, his relationship with Jade, and battling the malicious Paranormal.
What made things complicated was that Drake got on one knee, and Jade said yes.
The two got married the following year, and Jade found out about his vigilanteism... and told him that it wasn't healthy and to stop before he got in over his head. Drake agreed to the sanctity of the marriage, and he took on a second job as an armed guard to build up money for their dreams. Jade wanted to travel, and Drake would take her to all the places she wanted! They planned a trip to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, and they enjoyed themselves... until the very end of the trip, when Jade didn't feel well and went back to their room to rest, insisting that Drake "drinks for the two of them." He stumbled back to their hotel room, drunk as they get... to find a pool of blood underneath the bathroom door. Frantic, Drake threw the door open and saw that Jade had been brutally stabbed. He clutched his wife in his arms as he screamed.
This was the worst day of his life.
Drake became reclusive, taking some time off work to get himself together. However, this was when he went out more than before, going out and battling hostile Paranormal beings, being more determined and brutal than before. It wasn't long until Auri reached out to him, and he was fully set on declining it until Auri said that Jade's killer had a name...
Father Wolf.

TYPE ⫻ Adept.
ABSTRACTION ⫻Red & Purple Lux. Channeler: Adam's memorial and wedding rings.
ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION ⫻ Drake learned that he, at a young age, had an affinity towards lightning and electricity from his late father, Adam Blackmore - it was a favored element from Drake. Through exploring this affinity, Drake developed a series of spells and became famous in the Old Coven. Despite it all, Drake is a very seasoned and well-trained Adept due to his constant personal training, being trained by his father in his youth, and developing new spells to assist with his vigilante work. Drake has four different "spell groups" or disciplines for himself: The "Electric-Arsenal," in which Drakes crafts semi-solid weaponry out of electricity and The "Lightning-God," a collection of different electricity-based spells, The "Son of Adam," which are spells his father taught him and other spells shared between the Blackmore siblings, and finally, The "Dragon," which are pyromancery and ash-based spells. Drake is more in tune with the Red Lux, almost entirely neglecting his Purple Lux, which he uses vary sparingly. However, he is gradually learning to work it into his Spellbook.
THE ELECTRIC-ARSENAL ⫻ Drake's primary offensive weapon that he has tweaked and fine-tuned through a lifetime of practice, training, and necessity. Through Drake's near-mastery of the electrified realm, he has made himself a scary arsenal of semi-solid weapons. Known as the Lightning-Arsenal, he has a variety of different weapons, each one crackling with untamed energy, much like Drake, and ready to unleash hell upon his enemies. These spells are almost exclusively Red-Lux, but Drake is diving into Purple-Lux to incorporate Time and Movement Magic to enhance this discipline. Drake can only create one type of electric weapon at a time and typically cannot create more than two.
Voltblade ⫻ A longsword crackling with arcs of electricity. Its blade pulses with a vibrant electric glow. Upon contact, it can deliver devastating shocks and wounds to enemies. His Purple Lux enhances its electrified edge, allowing Drake to strike with lightning-fast precision and overwhelm his enemies with a flurry of electrifying blows. Drake can create two Voltblades at a time, one for each hand.
The Voltbuster ⫻ An enhanced version of the Voltblade, a colossal weapon crackling with torrents of electricity, designed to unleash devastating blows and electrifying shocks upon whichever poor bastard gets hit by it. It is enormous, about three times the length of Drake's body, and isn't as sharp as the Voltblade. However, it's more of a powerful siege tool that hits with far more force than the Voltblade and far more electricity behind it. Drake can only create one Voltbuster at a time.
Battle-Axe ⫻ A small, double-edged battle axe that pulses with waves of electrifying energy. Its compact size and lightweight design make it ideal for swift maneuvers. At the same time, its electrified edge delivers powerful shocks that immobilize and incapacitate enemies with each impact. Drake can only create two axes at a time.
Thunderguard ⫻ A round shield enveloped in an aura of crackling electrical energy to protect against attack while electrifying any poor schmuck who touches it. When wielded by Drake, the Thunderguard forms a barrier of electricity in one of his hands. Its electrified surface can unleash explosive energy, launching a shockwave of electrical force that will send anyone nearby flying. Drake can only create one Thunderguard at a time, but he can also create a weapon, such as a Voltblade or Battleaxe, to use in his other hand.
Electric-Flail ⫻ A flail composed of electrified chains crackling with lightning sparks, ending in a spiked ball that emits electricity. Its flexible chains can deliver electrifying strikes that leave the poor bastard who gets hit by it wishing their mother used the coat hanger. With one swing, it becomes a whirlwind of electrified devastation! Drake can only create one at a time.
Stormbreaker ⫻ A massive Warhammer with a heavy head that crackles with lightning. While heavy and unwieldy, it allows Drake to crush his foes and send out powerful shockwaves of electricity. It's the perfect weapon for ignoring defenses and shattering defenses. Drake can only create one at a time.
Thunder-Lance ⫻ A formidable and massive lance with a long shaft is pulsating with electricity with a razor-sharp tip that'll impale foes. The Thunder-Lance is ridiculously long, three times the length of Drake's body, and can be used as a thrusting instrument or a slashing one (Somehow, don't ask questions). It's one of Drake's favored weapons. Drake can only create one at a time.
The Long-Hard Blackmore Stick ⫻ The Long-Hard Blackmore Stick is a simple staff weapon that Drake primarily developed to indicate that he has a weapon named... The Long-Hard Blackmore Stick. It's a simple staff created like the rest of the Lightning Arsenal that is lightweight and meant for quick engagements and keeping foes at a distance.
Thunderstruck ⫻ Thunderstruck is a bow and arrow set designed to unleash electrifying arrows upon Drake's enemies from a distance. It is massive, longer than Drake's entire body, and can unleash shocking arrows rapidly using both Red and Purple Lux. Drake can only create one at a time.
Halberd ⫻ Another weapon with a long, pulsating shaft (Drake asserts he's not gay) that cackles with electricity. The Halberd versatile weapon allows him to deliver sweeping strikes and electrifying thrusts that cleave through enemies with lethal precision. The Thunder Halberd's reach and versatility make it ideal for engaging enemies at a distance and incapacitating them with electrifying force. It was Drake's favored weapon. Drake can only create one at a time.
The Electric-Guitar ⫻ Created in collaboration with his sister, Amanda, and inspired by Sylvia Cruz and Simone Le Fay (sort of). As the name implies, it's a guitar made of lightning! It looks like a spiky electric guitar but is primarily used as a blunt instrument. However, it has a unique magical attribution: Drake can create special sound blasts to launch the opponent black by playing on the riffs. Drake can only create one at a time.
The Two-Headed-Monster ⫻ Linqian created a dildo made out of lightning! A young Drake Blackmore had no choice but to one-up her by not only creating his version of the Lightning Dildo but a three-headed one. In contrast, Drake can only create one at a time but should create zero Two-Headed Monsters.
The Future? ⫻ Who knows what the future may bring? Drake feels like his Electric Arsenal is redundant and needs updating. Drake is working on merging the Electric Arsenal with his Lightning-God discipline, so maybe eventually, he could learn tricks as such as telekinetically manipulating his weapons, creating hundreds, and more.
LIGHTNING-GOD ⫻ The secondary spells that Drake used as an offensive weapon, but less cohesive than his Electric Arsenal. The Lightning God discipline is a collection of lightning-themed spells that do not fall under the Electric Arsenal. It's technically the first discipline that Drake developed, but at the same time it is incomplete, as he quickly abandoned the discipline to focus on the Electric-Arsenal. The Lightning-God is Red-Lux, but it's the discipline in which he uses Purple-Lux the most (other than The Son of Adam).
Zeus's Lightning ⫻ This Spells channels Drake's inner-Zeus, the cool, lightning-chucking, All-Father and not the God that fucked a cow one time. This spell allows Drake to create and physically hurl bolts of lightning at his enemies. With a commanding gesture, Drake summons a lightning bolt from the sky and shapes them into a javelin-like projectile. He can control how fast (or how slow) they can go, but at the top speeds they can travel at blinding speeds.
Electric-Aura ⫻ Or the "fuck off" aura, one of the first spells that Drake had developed. By channeling his mastery over lightning magic, Drake can generate a shimmering field of blue-white crackling electricity surrounding his body and anything he touches. While this is active, it provides no defense or enhancements beyond making it foolish to touch him and enhance his physical strikes. He can make a partial-field or one that fully envelopes him.
Thunderbolt ⫻ Thunderbolt is a spell that unleashes a concentrated blast of lightning from Drake's fingertips, one that he can charge to be more devastating. By focusing and channeling the power of thunderstorms itself, Drake charges a powerful bolt of lightning out of his fingertips. One that, if appropriately charged, can electrify and stagger even the most potent Paranormal-Beings. However, he must be immobile while charging it.
Flight ⫻ is one of Drake's first developed spells and one of the few spells that almost exclusively channels Purple-Lux. Flight allows Drake to defy gravity and soar through the air, leaving behind a trail of lightning as he flies. Drake can levitate and propel himself through the air at incredible speeds, traversing vast distances and easily evading enemy attacks.
Ride the Lightning ⫻ One of Drake's "ultimate weapons" to use in his "fight against evil" and bringing peace to St. Portwell. Using a mixture of Purple and Red Lux, Drake charges forward by surrounding himself in a solid-orb of electrical energy. With this spell, he can gravely injure some of the strongest Paranormal-Beings out there.
Works in progress ⫻ Since Drake is working on developing the Lightning-God discipline further, Drake has developed some more spells that primarily utilize his Purple-Lux.
Thunderstep ⫻ Drake has attempted to harness the power of lightning to facilitate a form of teleportation teleportation. However, the results are less than reliable. When activated, Drake vanishes from one location in a blinding lightning bolt... but he hasn't worked out the kinks yet and can't control its destination. So far, Drake has ended up on top of trees, the sky, and the ocean - thankfully, he can't teleport inside the solid objects. So, the spell's erratic nature and lack of control make it practically useless, which frustrates Drake. Nonetheless, he continues experimenting and refining the Lightning Step to unlock its full potential.
Arc Lightning Field ⫻ The Arc Lightning Field is an experimental spell that Drake is developing, utilizing both Purple & Red Lux for a devastating combination. Drake creates a box that slows down the movement of anything within that lacks an Emotional-Field by using his Purple Lux while ravaging the poor sucker inside with erratic lightning. The intention is to make one large enough to cover several city blocks and bypass Emotional-Fields; however, since it's in the testing phase, it is precarious and unreliable. He can hardly create the field half the time; if he can, it will only last for a few moments before it falls apart and dissipates.
Electromancy ⫻ The pinnacle and end-all-be-all for Drake's lightning magic, one that supersedes not just the Lightning-God discipline, or the Electric arsenal discipline, but his ultimate magic. Electromancy allows Drake to manipulate and control electrical currents on a scale never before seen. With a mere thought, he can summon thunderstorms from clear skies, unleash devastating bolts of lightning that cleave through buildings, and command the element to his will. Electromancy's potential is staggering, with the ability to rival even the strongest Paranormal-Beings and will allow the "Lightning-God" discipline to live up to its name. In its current form, Electromancy is still in its infancy, and it cannot control electricity beyond what the Lightning-God discipline currently entails.
SON OF ADAM ⫻ Adam Blackmore was considered to be a master of Purple & Red Lux and had thousands of different spells under his belt. Spells that he attempted to pass onto Drake, but as it turns out, Drake was far too hard-headed to utilize the spells that Adam taught him. From feeble attempts at Lumomancy to comically unreliable Teleportation magic, each spell in this hapless arsenal reflects Drake's journey to discovering his affinity in Lightning and developing his primary spell-groups.
Lumomancy ⫻ Drake's attempts at Lumomancy often result in feeble attempts to summon dim, flickering lights or tiny sparks that barely illuminate his surroundings. Despite his efforts to channel his father's teachings, Drake's lack of focus and enthusiasm for light manipulation leaves much to be desired, making this spell useless.
Aeromancy ⫻ Drake's level of Aeromancy yields laughably weak gusts of wind that barely rustle leaves or ruffle hair. Despite his father's attempts to instill the principles of air manipulation, Drake's lackadaisical approach to the discipline results in ineffectual breezes that provide little more than a gentle breeze on a warm day.
Portal Creation ⫻ Drake's experiments with Portal Creation lead to chaotic and unwieldy disasters as his attempts to open portals result in unstable rifts that collapse upon themselves moments after being created. His father's teachings on interdimensional travel and portal creation were lost on Drake. Though Victoria has been teaching him somewhat... instead of working against his nature, she is trying to teach him how to create portals out of electricity.
Chronomancy ⫻ Drake begrudgingly engaged in half-ass attempts to grasp the intricacies of Chronomancy, spurred by his father's insistence on tapping into the most potent aspect of Purple Lux. However, his efforts yield only feeble results, as Drake struggles to harness time manipulation with zero luck or success. Despite occasional attempts to concentrate and focus on changing the flow of time, Drake's lack of genuine interest and commitment to the Spell results in hilariously ineffective results. Though he's learning some aspects of it, such as for his Arc Lightning Field, Chronomancy is not his forte. He'll likely never develop this Spell until he undergoes some major growing like his father did.
THE DRAGON ⫻ A discipline that Drake has been developing recently, though it comes from the fragments that his father taught him (what little of it stuck to Drake). Drake created The Dragon Spellgroup from those fragments, inspired by Linqian and other fire benders in the Old Coven. Since Fire is also one of Drake's affinities, he has a straightforward time developing the Dragon Discipline. Unlike regular flames, this fire is a vibrant blue color.
Fire God ⫻ This collection of spells represents Drake's burgeoning mastery over fire magic, inspired by his affinity for pyromancy and his determination to harness its destructive potential.
The Flameblade ⫻ Using a similar method to Drake's Electric Arsenal, Drake conjures a blade of pure flame from the depths of his hot-blooded soul. The fiery weapon dances with flames fueled by Drake's firey rage, and much like the Electric Arsenal, it's somehow solid. It can cleave through flesh and bone like an actual blade (though Drake missed the memo on the point of, you know, a sword).
Fireball ⫻ One of the few spells that his father taught him that Drake caught on to. Drawing upon the primal fury of flames, Drake conjures a sphere of fire in his hands, and Drake can hurl the Fireball at will. He can create a fireball the size of a basketball that'll leave behind a trail of swirling fire behind it. He can make several fireballs one after the other and put them in both hands.
Shotgun Fireball ⫻ Building upon the explosive potential of the Fireball spell, Drake channels the chaotic energy of fire into a burst of literal firepower. With focus, he fragments the fiery sphere into smaller projectiles like a hail of flaming meteorites. Each projectile is far weaker than a full-fledged fireball, but the Shotgun Fireball spreads further and is devastating at close range.
Flamethrower ⫻ Drake conjures a roaring column of fire out of his hands, much like an actual flamethrower. Drake creates a fiery torrent directed toward his enemies; however, it has a concise range of around two meters, making it an effective short-range weapon of destruction.
Explosion ⫻ In an attempt to harness the volatile energies of combustion, Drake attempts to develop the spell "Explosion." However, it has yielded less-than-ideal results, as the spell proves to be highly unpredictable and unreliable. When invoked, "Explosion" manifests as a burst of fiery energy that erupts at a chosen location; however, it is wildly inconsistent. At times, the explosion may be disappointingly feeble, barely strong enough to singe a few hairs. At the same time, on other occasions, it might unleash a catastrophic detonation that engulfs even Drake. Due to its inconsistent nature, Drake struggles to control this spell and finds himself at the mercy of its unpredictable results.
Ash-Storm ⫻ Amidst his exploration of pyromantic arts, Drake has begun to experiment with a spell he tentatively calls the Ash-Storm. However, in its current state, the spell remains erratic and unreliable, barely living up to its potential. When Drake attempts to use the spell, he struggles to control the power he seeks to unleash, resulting in a lackluster display of some ash specks spawning - rather than the swirling tempest of fiery destruction he envisions. Despite its shortcomings, Drake remains diligent in developing the Ash-Storm spell. Recognizing its potential as a destructive weapon, engulfing the battlefield in a swirling maelstrom of ash and flame.
Dragon-Dive ⫻ A mixture of Red and Purple Lux and the fire version of his "Ride the Lightning" Spell. It's a simple spell; if Drake is in mid-air, he launches downwards toward his target like a rocket. As he descends, flames surround Drake and leave behind a fire trail. Drake crashes down with the force of a meteor, unleashing an explosion that launches fire in all directions.
THE PHALANX (Joint-Casts) ⫻ Not a discipline, or even Joint-Casts, but a testament to the trust and synergy among Drake Blackmore's closest friends and allies.
Phantom-Blade ⫻ A Joint-Cast between Drake and Stormy-Carson, infusing his electric weaponry with Drake's Voltblade. This Joint Cast creates a typical Voltblade (or alternately, Voltbuster), except the lightning is a wispy green color similar to Stormy's auras. This blade typically functions like Drake's electric weaponry (It's solid, shocks foes, etc.), except it cleaves through Apparitions, weakening their abstractions and causing them immense damage. Even the strongest Apparition falls before the Phantom-Blade, and it can damage Apparitions inside of Adjoined and Abscised.
Barrier-Storm ⫻ A joint-cast between Drake Blackmore and Stormy Carson that turns Stormy's shields into a force of raw destruction. Ultizing their Luxes, Drake and Stormy create a raw and destructive tornado out of razor-sharp, spinning barriers that travel a short distance before disappearing. In that short time, the Barrier Storm can ravage even the strongest of foes and can leave untold destruction on a battlefield; however, it must be used wisely.
Penetration ⫻ A potent Joint-Cast between Drake Blackmore, and Linqian Han... with a very amusing, yet fitting, name. Both of them stand side-by-side and stick their hands out, aiming them at the target, and using their Red-Lux, create a blast of burning-hot energy that is hot enough to burn through most metals instantly and penetrate most magical barriers.
Doomsday ⫻ A Joint-Cast between Kenshiro Murakin, and Drake, and their ultimate weapon if cast successfully. It is a potent orb of plasma that is several shades of blue and grows larger and larger as the Joint-Cast goes on. In addition, using both of their Purple-Lux, it telekinetically pulls anything towards it, bypassing Emotional-Fields, like the gravitational pull of a planet. It gets stronger the closer to it an object or person gets, to the point where it will be impossible for the fastest Paranormals to escape.
Thunder-Dragon ⫻ A Joint-Cast between Drake and Aislin Rose... a Spell that combines their Red-Lux, and utilizes Drake's Purple-Lux, and Aislin's Gold Lux. When cast, a powerful telekinetic effect hits the environment that yanks objects off the ground, from small objects to heavy ones like entire cars - it will even begin to pull objects apart if needed. This telekinesis builds a giant dragon out of anything, and once it is complete, it will electrify and become a massive floating dragon that the two will ride upon and fly around. Using their Red Lux, they can guide dangerous electrical attacks as they rain hell from above.
Portal of Bravery ⫻ A Joint-Cast between all four Blackmore siblings, personally taught to them by their father Adam. All four Blackmore siblings stand in a circle, aiming their hands at the center and channeling their Purple Lux to create a massive portal that looms over the environment. This portal leads to a realm of nothing but white and fires an incredibly massive and potent blast of white energy that is strong enough to make the Stygian Snake retreat after a lengthy encounter. The Portal to Bravery is one of the most potent Joint Cast in the Old Coven; however, it requires all four Blackmore siblings, and Charles lives in Miami, so the Blackmore siblings can't cast it.
Healing-Storm ⫻ A Joint-Cast between Drake and his now-deceased wife, Jade. It was created during the battle with the Stygian Snake, and the two joined hands together to alter the weather conditions to create a localized lightning storm. However, this isn't a regular lightning storm, but green-colored lightning will rain down on an area, healing everyone near the strike. This Joint-Cast is unpredictable but could heal the Old Coven during their longer engagements with the Stygian Snake. It requires Jade, who is currently... deceased.
LIMITS ⫻
THE ELECTRIC-ARSENAL ⫻ The weapons in the Electric Arsenal require a significant amount of energy to use, draining Drake's stamina with each use. Overusing these abilities can lead to exhaustion and potentially render Drake unable to cast further spells or wield his electric weapons. Despite their power, weapons in the Electric Arsenal are limited by Drake's physical strength and endurance. Using heavy weapons like the Voltbuster and Stormbreaker requires significant physical exertion.
LIGHTNING-GOD ⫻ Some of the most potent Lightning God spells rely on atmospheric conditions such as storm clouds or electrical disturbances. Drake's ability to cast these spells may be severely hampered without suitable weather patterns, and on a sunny day, Drake is the weakest, ironically. Drake's lightning-based attacks are more effective in environments with high conductivity levels, such as open fields or urban areas with metal structures. His spells may be less potent or ineffective in areas with poor conductivity, such as deserts or insulated interiors. Channeling vast amounts of electrical energy through his body carries the risk of overload, which can lead to physical exhaustion, mental strain, or even injury if Drake pushes himself too far beyond his limits. Zeus' Lightning and Thunderbolt require Drake to be immobile... though it doesn't count if he's floating using his flight as long as he's stationary in the air.
SON OF ADAM ⫻ Drake's lack of interest and commitment to mastering these spells severely limits their effectiveness. They often produce only minor, inconsequential results, are highly inconsistent, or fail to achieve their intended purpose.
THE DRAGON ⫻ First and foremost, Drake cannot mix his Dragon Spells with his Electric Arsenal or Lightning God Spell groups - he has to choose fire or lightning. The fiery nature of the Dragon spellgroup makes them particularly sensitive to environmental conditions. In damp or rainy environments, the effectiveness of the spells may be diminished, as water can dampen the intensity of the flames and reduce their destructive potential. While powerful, the Dragon spells are most effective at close to mid-range combat. At longer distances, their effectiveness diminishes, and Drake may struggle to target distant foes with his pyromantic attacks accurately. While powerful, the Dragon spells primarily focus on offensive firepower, offering limited versatility in terms of defensive or utility capabilities.
THE PHALANX ⫻
Phantom-Blade ⫻ The blade is only helpful against Apparitions, and is utterly useless everything else. Drake has to remain within Stormy's ten-meter radius to keep the Phantomblade going. The creation of the Phantom-Blade drains both Drake and Stormy of a significant portion of their energy, leaving them exhausted and vulnerable after its use.
Barrier-Storm ⫻ The barrier Storm will travel only up to five-meters before it completely disappears, and it is tough to control once launched.
Penetration ⫻ The spell requires a few moments to charge, requires precise aiming, and synergy between Drake and Linqian to use effectively. The Penetration spell can only be cast once an hour.
Doomsday ⫻ This Joint-Cast takes a significant amount of time to charge and requires uninterrupted concentration from both Drake and Kenshiro, making them easy targets during the process. It can only be cast once an hour.
Thunder-Dragon ⫻ Building the Thunder-Dragon requires time and concentration, making its creation vulnerable to interruption. If either Drake or Aislin loses focus or concentration during the creation of the Thunder-Dragon, the spell may fail or backfire, potentially causing harm to themselves or others nearby. The dragon's control depends on the synergy between Drake and Aislin, which can be difficult under stress.
Portal of Bravery ⫻ The Portal of Bravery is a mighty Spell... however, it requires all four Blackmore siblings to be present in a location, and unfortunately one of them lives on the other side of the country. Thus, the joint cast cannot be used at all. Opening the Portal of Bravery requires a charge-up time of around twenty minutes, during which the Blackmores are stationary and entirely vulnerable.
Healing-Storm ⫻ The Healing-Storm is unpredictable, with lightning strikes healing randomly within the area, potentially missing some intended targets. It requires specific weather conditions to be most effective.
WEAKNESSES ⫻ It's water. You can beat Drake with a cup of fucking water.
THE ELECTRIC-ARSENAL ⫻ The effectiveness of the Electric Arsenal may be diminished in certain conditions, such as heavy rain or extreme humidity, which can interfere with the conductivity of electricity and weaken the power of Drake's spells and weapons. If his guns get drenched in Water, they'll be destroyed, and he'll have to remake them. Also, these weapons are bright and loud and interfere with his sense of vision, sight, and smell.
LIGHTNING-GOD ⫻ Water is a natural conductor of electricity, and Drake's lightning spells may be less effective or even backfire in environments with high moisture levels or standing water. This causes these spells to explode in his face if he isn't careful. Drake's lightning-based attacks demand precision aiming and timing to ensure maximum effectiveness, leaving him vulnerable to agile adversaries capable of evasive maneuvers. These spells are also bright, flashy, and loud, throwing stealth and any subtly out the window, temporarily blinding and deafening him as he has zero resistance to bright lights and sound.
SON OF ADAM ⫻ Drake's haphazard attempts to use Son of Adam spells can sometimes result in unintended consequences or backlash. These unforeseen consequences pose a risk to both Drake and those around him, making the spells inherently dangerous. For example, when attempting to use the Teleportation spell, Drake could miscalculate or fail to establish a stable connection with the destination. This can result in partial materialization, leaving Drake momentarily trapped in an object or even a different dimension. However, these spells are useless anyway.
THE DRAGON ⫻ The fiery nature of the Dragon spells makes them vulnerable to water-based attacks or environments. Water can extinguish flames and dampen the intensity of pyromantic spells, rendering Drake's fire-based abilities less effective or even completely nullifying them in wet conditions. Drake isn't fully immune to fire, so the intense heat generated by the Dragon spells can be a double-edged sword, posing a risk of overheating Drake if used excessively. If not used safely or correctly, Drake can burn himself with his fire.
THE PHALANX ⫻
Phantom-Blade ⫻ The Phantom-Blade is extra vulnerable to the magic used by Adepts and Aberrations, and can easily be destroyed by them.
Barrier-Storm ⫻ The spinning barriers within the storm can inadvertently harm allies or innocent bystanders caught within its path, making it challenging to use safely in crowded or chaotic environments. It cannot be controlled once unleashed, and it will randomly rampage around the area and can injure Stormy and Drake, as well as their allies.
Penetration ⫻ The charging time required for the Penetration spell leaves Drake and Linqian immobile, and exposed to enemy attacks. They cannot cast any other spells while charging Penetration.
Doomsday ⫻ The lengthy charging process for the Doomsday Joint-Cast renders Drake and Kenshiro immobile and defenseless, making them easy targets for enemy attacks during this time. If interrupted during the casting of Doomsday, Drake and Kenshiro risk a catastrophic backlash of energy, potentially causing severe harm to themselves and their surroundings. The immense gravitational pull created by Doomsday can inadvertently draw unintended objects or allies into its orbit, leading to unintended consequences or collateral damage.
Thunder-Dragon ⫻ Despite its formidable presence, the Thunder-Dragon is highly susceptible to water-based attacks or environments. Direct exposure to water can short-circuit its electrified form, causing it to lose cohesion and dissipate rapidly. The Thunder-Dragon has a glowing weak point on its chest that can cause the Thunder-Dragon to fall apart if damaged enough.
Portal of Bravery ⫻ The lengthy charge-up time required to open the Portal of Bravery renders the Blackmore siblings stationary and defenseless, making them easy targets. Suppose the casting of the Portal of Bravery is disrupted or interrupted. In that case, the energy buildup required for the spell may release uncontrollably and can severely injure or even kill the Blackmore siblings.
Healing-Storm ⫻ The unpredictable nature of the Healing-Storm's lightning strikes makes it difficult to control or direct the healing effects, potentially leaving allies untreated or causing unintended harm to nearby individuals.

"...WHO THE FUCK TOOK MY CIGARETTES?!?!?!"
Drake Blackmore, one of my oldest characters, converted to Recollections. He was a joy to rewrite, and I'm hoping he'll still be fun to play as he was... like over ten years ago. lol
Britney.Williams
"The ends do not justify the means because they're shaped and defined by them." _______________________________________________
Drake and Britney did not interact much during the battle with the Stygian Snake. That mainly was left up to his older sister Victoria; however, once it came out, just what Britney was doing to people was to rope them into the fight... Drake's opinion of her took a nose dive, and she was one of the main reasons he left the old Coven. Drake thinks that Auri was out of her damn mind for inviting her and Luca back.
The other Blackmores respected Britney initially, with Victoria being her friend. However, they vehemently disapproved her actions and her continued participation in the Old Coven. Though, Victoria mediated when the others were going too far.
Alizée.Altieri
"Maybe I was too harsh on you... Maybe we could have helped you..." _______________________________________________
Drake and Alizée were incredibly close during the fight against the Stygian Snake, with Alizée being an honorary member of the "Blackmore Party." The two fought bravely, and Drake saw Alizée as his little sister, which hurt when Drake and the others discovered that Alizée was going out at night and hurting people. During his brief time in the old Coven, Drake gave Alizée nothing but the cold shoulder, and the fact that she wasn't kicked out was one of the reasons Drake left. He had no idea Alizée and Ashley fought, or she was kicked out. Since then, Drake has been hoping to run into her while doing his vigilante work and put an end to her.
Drake has no clue that Alizée is dead, and when he does, he'll probably feel some regret for not doing more to help her.
The other Blackmores didn't like Alizee at all for what she was doing, however Victoria felt as if they should had helped her rather than treat her like a monster.
Linqian.Han
"Firecracker hated Victoria. And I hated Jinhai." _______________________________________________
Drake and Linqian got along reasonably well, with their firey personalities and abstractions synergizing well. However, it was ironic given that Drake despised her older brother, and Linqian despised his older sister. Despite that, the two kept in touch, and Drake was saddened to hear that she also lost someone to Father Wolf.
Victoria and Linqian famously didn't get along, however Victoria always thought that she was a dumbass. Amanda and the other Blackmores got along with her.
Luca.Oliviera
"He's still dealing with that Apparition?" _______________________________________________
Drake and Luca didn't have much of a relationship of note. Luca joined the Coven towards the end of the battle with the Stygian Snake, and Drake left shortly after. However, he was one of Britney's victims, and thus, Drake feels some guilt for not pushing for the Coven to help him. He is saddened to hear that, even after ten years, Luca still has the Apparition adjoined to him. Drake will stop at nothing until Luca gets help.
The other Blackmores wished to help Luca out with his problem, however they were simply not equipped for it.
Sloane.Faris
"I took things too far." _______________________________________________
Drake and Sloane have a bit of an odd relationship. Given Sloane's attitude, she would be just another member of the old Coven Drake would have hated. However, the two have a professional partnership, given that Sloane and Drake have a similar mindset of protecting St. Portwell from supernatural forces. has been marking dangerous Paranormals for Drake to defeat, and Jade saved Sloane's life after she distracted the Stygian Snake. The two have been ridiculously close until Jade's death.
Drake and Sloane were previously allied, helping each other but after an incident where Sloane pushed Drake's one button, he hit her. He deeply regrets his actions and hopes to fix things he knows he can't.
Victoria respected Sloane and knew where her heart lay... despite her being rough around the edges. She is pissed at Drake for losing his cool and hitting her, but understands that she was out of line. Though, Amanda and the other Blackmores passionately disliked her.
Tayla.Choi
"She looks different. I don't know how she will back up her big words." _______________________________________________
Drake and Tayla didn't exactly get along too well, given that she was one of the most scathing critics of Drake's reckless stunts. Drake didn't care; he thought she was nothing but a square... but he felt sorry for her once her boyfriend, James, was killed distracting the Stygian Snake. Afterward, she disappeared, but Drake heard that she had fallen into hard drugs. There's that fleeting thought to try and patch things up with Tayla.
The other Blackmores didn't interact with Tayla much, but Victoria understood why she left.
"Edict".Devola
"The more things change, the more they stay the same..." _______________________________________________
In the old Coven, Drake, and Greyson did not like each other. The two were the classic example of when egos collide, which has led to them being openly antagonistic towards each other. The old Coven probably vividly remembers that they got into a fistfight with each other that was cheered on by some before it was broken up. Drake was probably the most openly antagonistic towards Greyson and called to have him removed due to his shady roots. After the Stygian Snake was defeated, Drake only heard secondhand about Greyson from Victoria and the others. He is thrilled to have to deal with Greyson again.
Victoria knew of the Devola name and attempted to keep Drake in line lest they break his knees. Though, they told Drake of how much of a scumbag he was in the Old Coven. Victoria is personally surprised Auri invited him back.
Jack.Hawthorne
"Last I heard, he was on his adventure." _______________________________________________
Many would think that Drake and Jack did not like each other... with Drake constantly dunking on Jack every chance he could and openly finding his edgy schtick intolerable. However, beneath it all, Drake respected Jack and his contributions to the old Coven; as edgy as he is, it took balls to fight the Stygian Snake. Perhaps deep down it was some friendship. The two fell out of contact after Drake left, but according to Victoria, he went on an adventure in the All-Verse. Drake respected that. Alongside his decision to return, however, Drake feels that he may have been too impulsive and messed things up by attacking Sloane.
Victoria and Jack worked together in their missions to recover the Apparition Killer and Bull's Ring and hold him in high regard. Amanda constantly dunked on him, too.
"Sully".McPherson
"THE BEER CHALICE!" _______________________________________________
Possibly the closet person to Drake in the Old Coven, second to the Blackmore siblings. A member of the affectionately claimed "Jock Squad" with Leon, Stormy, and himself, Drake vividly remembers partying with Sully while in the Old Coven (and also sneaking into a few with Jade after he left). He was the one to first make the Cum Chalice joke about Sully's Agent. Drake kept in touch, and they partied a few times afterward but fell out of touch for a little bit after Sully fell on hard times. Drake's marriage with Jade had just started. He was happy to see Sully make it out of the woods and to see him again.
Victoria, surprisingly enough, respected Sully for his parties as they helped the others relieve stress and brought some of the more shy members of the Old Coven out of their shells. She regards Sully as a family friend, while Amanda loved partying with him.
Another member of the Jocksquad that Drake vividly remembers fighting alongside. Though he admits that he wasn't as close to Leon as he could have been, Drake remembers Leon punching monsters to death, and he thought that was pretty badass. It was short of the inspiration for his Lightning-Aura spells, but Drake was at the very least during the fight against Lady Lelou. He saw it getting sealed into Leon, and Drake was pushing for the Wolflady to get sealed into some rock or something. The Old Coven didn't help, and Drake left - but kept in touch with him, seeing him often at his gym.
Victoria and the other Blackmores have no strong or notable opinions of Leon
Stormy.Carson
"I wonder if he ever made that magic condom..." _______________________________________________
The good ol' shield to Drake's sword! Literally. Stormy was a member of the Jock squad, as Drake calls them, and a proficient barrier generator that saved Drake's ass a few times. Stormy was there when Drake managed to get himself killed trying to save Jade nearly and after Drake let his emotions get the best of him. Drake appreciates that and how he wasn't open about criticizing him for his actions during the fight against the Stygian Snake. Drake made sure to keep in touch and earned respect from Drake for refusing to give Britney a break.
The rest of the Blackmore family deeply respects Stormy's help in the Old Coven's battle with the Stygian Snake.
Anya.Baksh
"Victora has told to never trust you. " _______________________________________________
Drake has hardly, if ever, interacted with Anya. They were in two different cliques, but the few interactions that Drake has had with her have made him not want to interact with her at all. Despite not contributing much to the fight against the Stygian Snake, she believes she is superior and full of herself. Drake didn't even realize that she had returned, but he would always keep his eye on her.
Victoria worked with Anya in the Old Coven and learned that she is probably not the person she says she is. She warned Drake not to trust her and to keep her eye on her. Meanwhile, the other Blackmores didn't like her either.
Evelynn.Serenelight
"Your abstraction is nothing but a guess anybody could make. I am only concerned about what's happening here and now." _______________________________________________
Drake and Lynn didn't interact a whole lot in the Old Coven (though he thought that it was ridiculous that she went out with the trio in fights against the Stygian Snake). Drake didn't find Lynn's abstraction reliable and barely listened to any of her predictions. However, he was friendly towards her nonetheless, especially since she was friends with Victoria.
Victoria liked Lynn and thought very highly of her, taking her predictions deadly seriously when taking action. Amanda liked drinking and partying with her and kept in touch.
Lila.Blackwood
"You finally grew a spine; I'm proud of you." _______________________________________________
Drake and Lila hardly, if ever, interacted, but had a feeling that Lila didn't like him. He respects Lila not only for fighting in the Coven despite her lack of confidence but also for finding herself and discovering the person she was always meant to be. Despite Lila's dislike of him, Drake will be friendly towards her.
The rest of the Blackmores did not feel one way or the other about Lila.
Drake has a similar stance to Jasper as he does to Jack, ironically enough. He constantly dunked on him for being a hipster artsy-nerd, but underneath it all, there was a sense of brotherhood between them. He respects Jasper for following his dreams and becoming an artist despite thinking he's a lame ass hipster! Though, at the time, Drake didn't like how he constantly rode Sloane.
Drake calls him his "Art-Bro".
The other Blackmores didn't feel one way or the other about Jasper.
Adora.Phoenix-Prescott
"I know you don't like me, but I should have saved Lisa..." _______________________________________________
Drake and Adora constantly butted heads in the Old Coven. Adora was continually critical of Drake's stunts, how he never took it all seriously, and how he always partied, and Drake always thought that she was a self-righteous bitch. Despite his dislike of her, Drake understood where Adora was coming from and respected her for her contributions to the fight, and he felt some pang of guilt for the deaths of Saskia and Lisa. At first, he thought she was a crybaby for ghosting the Coven, but Victoria managed to get him to turn around. He has no clue that she returned to the Coven, but he would be friendly with her despite it all.
Victoria didn't like Adora or Lisa but respected both due to their contributions in the fight against the Stygian Snake. Victoria was saddened by Lisa's death and understood why Adora had gone ghost, though she thought that Adora should never have come back. The rest of the Blackmores didn't like Adora either but understood she was too strong to get rid of.
Drake was heavily against a ten-year-old in the Coven, and he was on the leadership's ass about it. Despite that, Layla was always lowkey and kept to herself, but Drake was always suspicious of her. Though, as far as he could tell, she was just a nobody in the grand scheme.
The rest of the Blackmores had little idea about her.
Luna.Inoue
"... Auri must be out of her damn mind if she lets her back in." _______________________________________________
Drake and Luna hardly interacted with each other, and he always had a bad feeling about her. That lousy feeling turned out to be very warranted when it turned out that Luna was poaching members of the Old Coven for the local mafia group. Drake despised her for that and was happy to hear she was booted from the Old Coven. However, if Luna tries to worm her way back in, Drake would be the first to want her ass gone.
The rest of the Blackmores practically share the same sentiment as Drake.
Aislin.Rose
"She's my friend but she's too naive." _______________________________________________
Drake was the one who brought Aislin into the Coven after saving her from Alizee... Drake and Aislin, since then, have had a very close friendship that extended to after the Old Coven had fallen apart. However, Drake thought Aislin was too forgiving of Alizee for what happened. Despite it all, Drake invited Aislin to his wedding with Jade.
The rest of the Blackmores don't interact with Aislin much in the Old Coven, but they still see her as a friend.
Kenshiro.Murakin
"The man! The Legend! The greatest!" _______________________________________________
An extremely close friend to not just Drake but the rest of the Blackmores. He was there to save the guy from the Stygian Snake when he first arrived in St. Portwell, and since then, the two have been close - probably the closest person he's been to outside of the Jock Squad. Even after the defeat of the Stygian Snake, the two have remained close, and Kenshiro visits the Blackmore estate, often telling tales of adventures and offering gifts.
As stated before, Kenshiro is a friend to all the Blackmore siblings, even Victoria. She takes the triplets on the land that Kenshiro owns when he comes around.
Ayrin/Aaron.Thorne
"Be your true self, that's all I can say." _______________________________________________
Another one of Drake's buddies during the fight with the Stygian Snake. Drake often got Emily off their back when she was being an asshole, and the two fought alongside each other. Drake sees Ayrin/Aaron as a friend and wonders when (or if) they will return.
The rest of the Blackmores don't feel one way or the other about Aaron/Ayrin.
Despite hardly interacting with one another, Drake and Amara had a good relationship. They partied whenever and Drake thought that she was one of the few members of the "smart club" that didn't have a stick up their ass. However, they fell out of touch after Drake left the Old Coven.
The other Blackmores don't feel one way or the other about Amara.
The.Void.Heart
"Glad they put you away." _______________________________________________
Drake never trusted the Void Heart and despised him for turning Alizee into his puppet. However, he felt he should have eliminated The Void Heart before it became a problem for the rest of St. Portwell.
She didn’t recognize them initially, and what was wrong with her?! They were, like, the two other most incredible people in the world next to Adora. When Emily, George, or one of the other assholes were bullying her, Vanessa and Clem were always right by Adora’s side when she put them in their place. That dropped jaw quickly turned into a smile as she sat up,
”Nessa! Clem!” Lisa shouted with that dumb smile on her face. ”It’s been so long, it’s so great to see you two!”
Then she raised her handcuffs in the air.
”... Mind getting these off? Just me though,” She smiled widely, tilting her head. ”... These two are crazy.” She laughed her ass off afterward.
"You know, I can get out of these myself," Saskia mumbled.
“Hold up,” Clementine said with a raised hand. “First… before we do anything, we need you three to prove that you really are who you say you are….”
“I mean, given the reports that Stauber, Chertok, and Gomez put in…” Vanessa said, with her arms crossed. “... The abstractions line up completely.”
“Hold on,” Clementine said, getting up and walking over to Lisa. She reached into her shirt.
“... Hey, that’s my tid-”
“Shut up,” Clementine commanded before she found it… the Spider in Amber, and her jaw dropped. She used her other hand to lift it above Lisa’s head. “But… it makes no sense…”
“Ella’s Channeler, that Sailor Moon Wand you called stupid all those years ago…” Vanessa laughed. “... Is in the evidence locker.”
"It's not stupid," Ella whined.
Then she walked over to Saskia and grabbed their wrist, getting a good look at the Death Note bracelet.
”Oh, so you just grab her wrist and not her tiddy...” Lisa pouted. ”I see how it be.”
"Wow, is my tiddy not good enough to grab?" Saskia intoned.
“... If it’s a shapeshifter,” Vanessa began. “It’s a damn good one.”
“It makes no sense!” Clementine said. “How are you three back?! Now of all times, too?!”
"We'd love to know the answer to that too," Saskia shrugged.
"I can tell you how we came back!" Ella said, grinning. "We got brought back by the hound! We were in this super creepy dark place and he said someone made a deal to bring us back! But we gotta do some things for him first… which is why we're here!"
Clementine raised an eyebrow.
"Yes, we're his… Agents of Death."
"Which is a stupidly edgy name! We're the magical girls!"
Clementine tilted her head.
"I like it. Oh," Saskia looked from Ella back to Clementine and Vanessa. "Did you see my drawing? It's what the hound asked us to do to regain our lives."
“You mean this…?” Clementine reached over the table, grabbed it, and held it with both hands as she stared at it, stunned. Vanessa walked over, peeked over her shoulder, and said,
"I'm glad someone recognises my talent," Saskia nodded expressionlessly.
“But, does this have something to do with the murders…?” Clementine asked.
“You think these three goofballs have been killing people?” Vanessa asked, followed by an awkward.
”What murders?” Lisa said with a tilt of her head.
Clementine sighed.
“I only have a hunch about it, but someone has been killing members of the Old Coven, and leaving a wolf idol at their body,” Clementine sighed. “So far, they’ve gotten Elsa, Ripley, Jade, Kari-”
”Wait?! Kari?!” Lisa shouted, standing up to her feet. It couldn’t be true.
“She was the most recent in the string of murders,” Clementine flatly answered.
"Kari's dead…" Saskia trailed off, looking away for a moment.
”I… I…” Tears started going down Lisa’s face, as she reached up to wipe them off herself.
"All four of them… Kari… we didn't even get to say goodbye!" Ella's lower lip started trembling and her eyes filled with tears, instantly streaming down her cheeks. She sniffed and reached up with cuffed hands to try wipe them away, but they were an unstoppable waterfall down her face.
“Recently, Kura went down, too,” Vanessa shrugged.
"We've only been alive again for... About four days, I think." Saskia tilted her head, awkwardly patting Ella's leg with both hands (because handcuffs) at the same time. "It's difficult keeping track when we spent most of the time inside. But we have no idea about these murders. We didn't even know it had been ten years…"
“Well,” Clementine shrugged, “We’ve been hoping to do something about it, but most of the murders were in St. Portwell. And we’re stuck here.”
”Like what?” Lisa asked with a tilt of her head.
“Something, anything,” Clementine said. “Better than sitting on our ass and waiting for him to come after us next.”
Amidst this talk about all the murders, a question popped up in Lisa’s head.
”… Is Adora okay?” Lisa asked.
“… From a certain point of view, yes,” Clementine answered. “She’s alive.”
That sounded weird. Lisa thought to herself, before she asked. ”Why ‘from a certain point of view’?” Lisa tilted her head.
“Look… seeing what happened to you fucked her head up,” Clementine shook her head.
“… She had a front-row seat to it,” Vanessa added. “Hell, all three of us did.”
“But what does this,.. picture have to do with the three of ya’ll coming back?” Asked Clementine.
"It’s… it’s…" Ella tried to explain before Saskia, but she was full on sobbing now, ugly tears streaming down her face. She turned to the side and pulled Lisa into a hug, wailing, "Lisssaaaaaaa."
”You-you are suffocating meeeeeeeeeee!” Lisa said though it was hard to make out what she was saying because her voice was muffled.
"It’s the person we need to kill to come back to life," Saskia said, rolling their eyes at Ella. "This is what I plan to do with him when we get to him."
"He’s… he’s… not a human," Ella sniffed.
"Oh, yeah, he’s an evil bastard," Saskia nodded. "Morningstar. The hound says we have to kill him."
“One, never say this to another Agent,” Clementine began. “I’m not turning any of you in, but the other Agents can and will use everything against you.”
"I’m only saying it because it's you two," Saskia shrugged.
Vanessa nodded as she said, “We heard everything you said from behind that-“ she pointed at the mirror, “-and there’s more than enough to book all three of ya’ll.”
Lisa flailed her arms around.
“And two, what did Agent Stauber have to do with it and why did you try nabbing him?” She asked.
"Oh, that bastard? He’s selling information to the society," Saskia openly said. "We were going to tor- talk to him and get information about Morningstar. Wait. There aren’t people behind that mirror now?"
"Sassskiiiaaa stop it with the torture!" Ella sobbed. "Though he’d deserve it."
“… Yes, that would be wise,” Clementine rolled her eyes. “There is nobody behind the mirror. Stauber has been sent home for the night. So have Agent Chertok, and Agent Gomez.”
“But we always had our suspicions about Stauber…” Clementine mused.
“Don’t get ahead of yourself, Clem,” Vanessa spoke to her twin. “How do you three know about this? Stauber is a bastard, but we need proof.”
"We’d have proof if we weren’t interrupted earlier!" Ella finally stopped crying. "After all the work I put in… All for nothing… I touched his hand! It was gross!"
”… He took her hand-holding-virginity!” Lisa momentarily pulled herself away from Ella, before getting snatched back in. She managed to speak again, except muffled, ”... Not her cuddling virginity!”
"We were told by… friends," Saskia said hesitantly. "I don’t know how they found out. They’ve been helping us since we came back. Supposedly he sends agents after the Society’s targets… which will be us after we get out of here. He’ll definitely put them on our ass."
"I don’t want him on my ass!"
Saskia shrugged. "You could use it to catch him."
”Like a moth to a flame!” Lisa shouted, muffled again
“Look, nobody is going to be on your ass,” Clementine said. “Look, I’m the Regional Commander-“
“Acting Regional Commander,”
“Right,” Clementine said, “Point is, we can make this go away.”
“Within reason,” Vanessa added.
“Yes, within reason,” Clementine answered, “But we need your word you three won’t do anything crazy like this again. I got ties to the very top, but there are things that not even the Director can let slide.”
"Crazy as in attacking the PRA, or just anyone?" Saskia asked. "Because we need to kill Morningstar. And maybe his Endless Seven. Well, six."
"Yeah, otherwise we’ll stay dead!" Ella nodded. "But we won’t attack your agents again!"
“Please don’t,” Vanessa said. “Also, officially you never told me you were killing anyone.”
“Now, let’s get these handcuffs off, and Ella back her channeler-“
“… Am I interrupting something?”
A tear in reality formed behind Clementine as she hopped to her feet. She whipped the pistol out of the holster, aiming it at the massive white creature that came out of the tear. He grinned as he said,
“Hello… I’m here to kill those three,” He pointed a clawed hand at the three behind the two agents. “Stay out of my way, please.”
He laughed.
“Death to all who oppose the Society, after all.”
"Oh shit," Saskia said, handcuffs clattering to the ground and her fingers dangling limply from where she’d broken them all to get out. "We’re screwed."
Like hell we are. Lisa internally seethed as Ella released her and she stared at the freak that was across from them.
”We killed Mala’Boolaan,” Lisa's devious grin formed ear to ear as she stared down a creature that would normally have anyone else running in fear.
The Halloween Festival. The Beach Bar. Cracker Island.
”Hopefully, we won’t be running into each other too much in the near future. But still, I appreciate being able to talk without violence. Thank you for that.”
"Wait, hold-"
Cindy reached out to Stormy as the group left—after some chattering and some mysterious stranger showing up. As they left, Fiona waved Jasper off. However, Cindy couldn't help but shrug as they went, then muttered, "Damn?"
Meifeng deviously grinned as she leaned in and whispered into her ear, "What? Were you trying to get some white boy tonight?" Then laughed.
Cindy rolled her eyes and said out loud, "No... well, not this time. I was trying to give him my number so he could call us if another disaster like last week happened."
Meifeng shrugged.
"We're going to run into them again," Meifeng began. "That is preordained at this point."
"True," Cindy said before she smiled. "But enough about those weirdos. Let's turn up."
"I thought you'd never ask..." Meifeng smiled as she raised a finger to get the bartender's attention. "Heeeeeeeey... Could we get another Pineapple margarita, please?"
"We should have gotten Storm-man to buy us another one before he left," Cindy said, "But nooooo... you had to be all 'I cannot in good conscience.'"
"I probably make four times as much as him," Meifeng laughed. "I just couldn't. Felt like he was trying to show off anyway."
"To whom, though?" Cindy asked.
"You know how some men be, anything with a vagina, probably." She shrugged.
”Hey, Trevor! Isn’t that the girl you went on a date with last week? You should go talk to her!”
Everyone looked at Bianca.
Then everyone looked at Sloane with Anya.
"... Speaking of anything with a vagina," Meifeng muttered as she facepalmed.
"Oooooooh!" Trevor excitedly said as he waved at Anya. "Hey! Hi! How are you doing?! Remember me...?!"
He got off the stool and dramatically removed his helmet, holding it underneath his arm as he twined his hair. He smiled at her and said in his most obnoxious, flirty voice, "Funny how we keep runnin' into each other. It's like fate."
He wagged his eyebrows.
"If I knew you were comin', I'd dress up as a knight... Because I'm your knight in shining armor." He purred.
"T-Trevor... I..." Cindy's mouth was agape, and she was shaking as she attempted to muster out the words. She almost fell out of her chair.
"That boy ain't right..." Samson shook his head.
"... I'm so sorry," Meifeng began, shaking her head. "I mean... Yes, I was the one responsible for it. But I took a good look at your friend there, and I just thought to myself..."
Her eyes widened as she held the straw in her hand.
"... 'She is going to annoy the hell out of me,' so I just thought I'd give you to someone even more annoying - and I don't mean "give you" as I was trying to play matchmaker. I meant it as..."
Saskia slipped one hand in their pocket, fingers curling around their knife, while holding the other one up. "Is that what this looks like? We just wanted to ask him a few questions before letting him go."
"Yeah! We tried to be nice about it!" Ella said, rubbing her arms like there was something nasty on them.
Saskia nodded while considering their options. They could probably take both of them, but Kimberley and Jordan had said to run if they bumped into the PRA… which they presumably were. But Kimberley and Jordan weren't there, they wouldn't know if they slit their throats in a back alley, would they? But for now, she'd stall. "There's no kidnapping, so next question."
“If there’s no kidnapping…” The redheaded one said. “Then please release Agent Stauber.”
“And pleeeeeease take a big step back,” The other Agent said, narrowing his eyes.
“Then, we can talk about these questions you have,” The redheaded Agent said. “We’re all apart of the same organization here. But, I’m senior to Agent Stauber, so whatever you want to ask him… you can ask me.”
"Righhhht," Saskia glanced at Lisa and Ella, then back at the agent. Jordan had said that attacking one PRA agent would get loads more on them… and they already had the whole Society looking for them. They'd just been allowed outside. "Lisa, release him?"
At the same time Saskia stepped back, and grabbed Ella's wrist to pull her back too. She kept her other hand in her pocket for just now.
With a nod of her head, spiders erupted from all the unseen corners of the alleyway, briefly surrounded by a glowing cocoon. When they burst out, they had ant mandibles, quickly tearing apart the webbing around his arms and legs. Then he got up, ripping the web off his face.
"Saskiaaaaa you're making all of my flirting be for nothing," Ella whined, shuddering. "Do you know how difficult it was?!"
"There, there, I understand," Saskia comfortingly patted Ella's upper arm, though the deadpan tone they said it in made it sound incredibly patronising. She then looked at the two agents, deciding to test the waters first. "First question… do you know about the incident that happened at Morningstar Bank a few days ago?"
“... I should have known you were up to something, bitch!” Jacob spat at Ella. “So, let’s cut the bullshit! Get on your knees hands-”
“Agent Stauber,” the red-haired Agent calmly said while raising his hand. “Relax, we got this.”
“You got this?! These bitches tried to kidnap me!” Jacob said.
“I said, relax…” The redheaded Agent said, pushing his sunglasses up his nose before turning to Saskia. “We are not aware.”
“But, I’m certain you can enlighten us,” The other Agent said.
Well, assuming they weren't lying, that told Saskia that they weren't with Morningstar… probably. May. "Well, we heard-"
"Hey! You should feel lucky that even came near you!" Ella pointed at Jacob, seeming to come out of her despair. "We wouldn't have had to if you'd come when I was trying to be nice!"
Saskia sighed, before realising something. They looked at the two other agents. "Who even are you?"
“FBI.” The redheaded agent said.
"Do you think I'm stupid?" Saskia rolled their eyes. "Your names."
“Ah,” the Red-haired Agent said. “I am Senior Agent Dexter Chertok. But, you may call me Rush.”
“And I’m Special Agent Reiquel Gomez.”
Rush nodded, saying, “It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Though I wish we could have met under different circumstances.”
“Now,” Agent Gomez, “We were attempting to track a lead on a case we had before you three interrupted… So, would you kindly tell me what you three were thinking?”
"Well we were tracking our own lead when you-"
"Elllaaaa," Saskia interrupted, shaking their head. Hopefully she'd get the message and let Saskia do the talking… because she was the only one with half a chance of getting them out of this! "You see, we… heard that he," they pointed to Jacob, "might be able to help us find the crazy people who broke into Morningstar Bank. We're really desperate to find them, for our, uh, boss. But it seems you don't know about it…"
Agent Rush tilted his head downwards as he stared at Saskia.
“I don’t know, crazy bitch,” Jacob said, before he grinned. “But… I heard who broke into Morningstar Banking were three girls…”
Lisa loudly gulped.
“... A tall girl dressed in bright colors…”
However, on the walls of the alleyway, spiders covered the walls behind the three FBI Agents… but in full view of Saskia and Ella. If one of them were to look up, they could see one of Lisa’s cocoons glowing and growing.
“... A short blonde-haired gal…”
They quickly formed the words: GET READY TO RUN. STALL FOR A MINUTE. Then the Spiders dispersed before the agents could see.
“... And a short black female…”
Rush continued staring at them, before he asked, “So, who are the three people you say broke into Morningstar Banking?” He raised an eyebrow.
A minute? Jacob, the fucking asshole, had already outed them as being the ones who'd broke in. Saskia grimaced as she gripped the blade of her knife, letting it cut through the palm of her hand. Just in case.
"Hey, I thought you said you didn't know about it!" Ella jumped in, very aggressively pointing at Jacob. "I think you're just describing our appearances to pin the blame on us!"
"Oh, that's true," Saskia played along, narrowing their eyes at Jacob. "Why would you know when your superiors don't? We heard it was three massive, muscular men who destroyed windows and walls. Do we look like we could do that?"
“Hey now,” Jacob said, raising his hands with a grin. “I don’t discriminate!”
"You clearly don't," Saskia said dryly.
However, that walkie-talkie that Ella had in her pants pocket began buzzing, before they could hear Kimberly’s voice,
“... E-Ella?” Kimberly began. “Is everything okay in there? We haven’t heard from you in a minute.”
Ella laughed nervously, putting a hand in the pocket where the walkie-talkie was. She fumbled around, unable to hide her panic.
“What was that?” Agent Rush asked.
"Oh no, I must've butt dialed my friend again, it always happens!" Ella laughed… even though the walkie talkie was in her front pocket. "Sorry, can I take this?"
“No you may not,” Rush said.
Agent Gomez rolled his eyes, “I’m getting reeeeeeal tired of this.”
"No one's keeping you here," Saskia shrugged. "You two can leave and let us have a nice chat with Agent Stauber."
“I’ve had enough of this,” Rush said, pushing his sunglasses up his nose. “We’re going to talk about this at our field of-”
The cocoon growing above them burst open, and an enormous tarantula emerged (the size of a pickup truck), landing directly in front of the Agents.
”... RUUUUUN!” Lisa shouted as she turned on her heel and hauled ass into the busy street.
"Fuckkkk," Saskia spun around and sprinted after Lisa as fast as they could. At the same time they pulled their hand out of their pocket, blood dripping down and coating her back with a thin shield layer.
"Good riddance!" Ella yelled, following last. She turned around and looked directly at Jacob, hands raising as they turned into blinding lights. "By the way, I'm a lesbiannnnnnnn!"
“... You’re not getting away that easy,” Agent Gomez shouted… as a massive blue hand that seemed to be made out of an aura appeared in front of the trio. It was balled into a fist as Agent Gomez flew out of the alleyway, with a similar wavy blue aura surrounding him as he floated over to the three. “Get on the ground, now!”
"No way!" Ella yelled. She pulled out her sailor moon wand, brandishing it as she went through her magical girl transformation, and her legs were coated in rainbow light. "You won't take me alive!"
”... You can take me alive, though,” Lisa weakly noted. ”I like living.”
"Let's not be that dramatic," Saskia said. She moved the blood on her back into a long tentacle. At the same time she said quietly to Lisa. "Can you give the spider wings?"
”The spider that’s still in the alley-”
As Saskia asked, Ella jumped forward, aiming a glowing foot at Agent Gomez with a high kick. The giant hand blocking them disappeared as he put his hands in an X, creating two glowing arms blocking the kick. “... I guess we’re doing this the hard way.” He swung his leg out for a key, and a glowing leg appeared that shadowed the motion - flying directly at Ella as he blocked.
"Ahhhh," Ella shouted, colour spilling from her bracelets and coating her arms in bright pinks, purples and blues. She blocked the kick with them, getting pushed back.
"Ella!" Saskia shouted, running forward. "Throw the Walkie Talkie to Lisa!"
Saskia pushed themselves in front of Ella to try and cover her, blood tendril shooting forward towards Agent Gomez's shoulder. However, he flew to the left, dodging the attack, as he shot his palm out at Saskia. A glowing hand appeared, flying directly at Saskia’s midsection to knock the wind out of her. Saskia grunted as the hand connected, doubling over. The tendril pulled back and pressed into the ground to stop her falling onto her knees.
”We gotta get out of here!” Lisa shouted as a wave of spiders came out of the unseen crevices of the environment. ”That Spider is - probably - not going to hold them off forever!”
"Call Kimberley, see if they can get us out!" Ella shouted back, pulling out the walkie talkie and throwing it to Lisa. "Otherwise we're trapped! We can hold him off till then!"
”Like hell we are!” Lisa shouted as she tried ti catch the walkie talkie… only for it to smack her in the face and then it fell into her hands.
Ella jumped back to Saskia's side, spinning around with another kick from the left towards Agent Gomez's stomach. At the same time Saskia, panting heavily, steadied herself and swept her blood tendril round to his right to try catch him if he dodged. Agent Gomez caught the leg using his abstraction, however the tendril launched him off and he hit a car.
”Kimberly, come in K-Kimberly!” Lisa shouted into the Walkie-talkie, hunching down under a car.
“What’s going on?! Where are you?!”
”We’re-”
She felt a pistol pressed against the back of her head.
“… Under arrest,” Jacob said.
Rush walked out, cupping his hands together as he shouted, “Stand down! Deactivate your abstractions immediately!”
"Shit!" Saskia swore. Until there was a gun involved, they could probably get out of the situation… but not now. She wasn't going to let Lisa get shot. "Alright, we surrender."
They held up their hands, blood tentacle pulling back across their body and into the open wound on their palm, which then clotted. Ella's legs and arms went back to normal and she also put her hands up in the air, though she still had her channeler in one. And was still dressed like a magical girl.
“You all made the right choice,” Rush said.
"Get your gun away from her!" she yelled at Jacob. "If you're going to hold it up to anyone's head it should be mine!"
“Agent Stauber,” Rush said, turning to him.
“Yeah, yeah…” Jacob took the gun from Lisa’s head and holstered it. However, he pulled some handcuffs out and restrained Lisa.
Agent Gomez walked over to Saskia and cuffed her while Rush cuffed Ella.
“Agent Gomez, grab the car,” Rush said. “We’re going to have a long night.”
The three girls were herded in the questioning room… a white room with a mirror. The window was behind them, a door was to the right. but they were all sat down at a table.
The door opened, and Rush strolled in with a clipboard. “Hello, hello,” He greeted as he sat down. “Need a glass of water?”
"Ohhhh, you're starting with a glass of water," Saskia nodded, face completely expressionless. "Water torture? Or will you put it just outside of our reach?"
"What's with your obsession with torture, Saskia?!" Ella shouted, eyes wide with horror. "I'll take a glass of water as long as there's no torture involved!"
"I was just joking. I'm sure they'll use more sophisticated torture methods."
Rush just stared at them. Expression was completely neutral. He wrote something down in the clipboard.
“… Nobody is getting tortured.”
"Aww…" Saskia sighed.
Lisa sighed in relief while wiping a bead of sweat from her forehead. ”That’s a relief! But I could use some water.”
Rush walked over to the door, knocked on it and said, “Three glasses of water.”
Then sat back down, and asked,
“While we wait for that… Mind telling me what happened?”
Lisa leaned back, putting her hands together on the table, and had a flat expression as she explained her… side of the story. ”Me and my - What did Adora use to say, oh yeah! - homegirls, yeah homegirls wanted a fun night out where we get to touch some tiddies. Because we knew a gal that touched tiddies without permission, and we wanted to be better than that. So we went to a strip club, where you pay to touch tiddies. So, me and my homegirls were… ‘laxin. Then he, Agent Asshole, comes over here came and grabbed mah tiddy, and I was like ‘nooooooo’. So we dragged him outside, then beat his ass.”
"Well you see!" Ella started. "I was visiting the stripclub for the first time, because I rarely get to go outside! I wanted to see what it was all about! I was just enjoying myself, drinking some bud light, when that- what was his name, Josh? - came over to me and started flirting with me! I get that I'm attractive but I'm not interested! I think he thought I was a stripper cause he gave me twenty bucks and all! Then he tripped me up so it would look like I fell into his arms! I was trying to go outside to escape but he followed me, thankfully I was saved by this lovely lady and her spiders! I've definitely never met her before tonight! But she's my new best friend! Also, he touched me without my consent!"
"Nothing important happened," Saskia said, completely deadpan. "I was told there was going to be a four-way orgy including spider web bondage, and I followed them out for that. I guess he changed his mind when he saw us all."
Rush’s jaw dropped.
“I…” He took his glasses off, pinching his nose. “… I don’t get paid enough for this shit.” He mumbled.
He sighed, as he wrote on the clipboard.
“That doesn’t line up with what you three said in the alleyway.”
"Well I wasn't just going to talk about a bondage four-way on a public street, was I?" Saskia looked at him like he was stupid. Obviously she knew it didn't line up, but hopefully if they lied enough they'd just be kicked out. Or jailed and rescued later. She definitely wasn't telling the truth, who knew if this guy also worked for Morningstar? "I also thought it would be embarrassing for your coworker. Don't judge him too much."
"What did I even say in the alleyway?" Ella asked, tilting her head and acting dumb.
“All three of your stories contradict each other…” Rush groaned, as he wrote on the clipboard. The door opened and Agent Gomez had three glasses of water and he slid them on the table in front of the girls. Afterwards he glanced at the clipboard and laughed.
“Classic Rush,” Agent Gomez said. “… You forgot to ask their names.” He laughed as he leaned up against the wall.
“Oh!” Rush said, “Is it my first day on the job?”
“Seems like it,” Agent Gomez shrugged.
“Names please,”
"Ella Brooks!" Ella said cheerfully, grabbing one of the glasses of water and chugging it.
"... Saskia Otten." Saskia said eventually, after weighing up whether they should lie. There probably wouldn't be much information on them anyway. "Spelt S-A-S-K-I-A O-T-T-E-N. Just in case you weren't sure."
”Lisa Celeste Turner!” Lisa said cheerfully as Ella.
Rush wrote down in his pad, before he sighed, “So, Ms. Otten, you mentioned Morningstar Banking earlier, and we found this on you…” He unclipped the, well, clipboard before he pulled a peculiar piece of paper and slid it across the table.
The drawing Saskia showed Kimberly and Jordan.
“… Mind explaining this?”
"Isn't it obvious?" Saskia asked, reaching out for the picture and holding it up. They couldn't use this as evidence against her, could they? It wasn't like she'd killed anyone. Well… not that they could pin on her with this. "It's a drawing of my boss dying a horrible death. Doesn't everyone do that to get out their work-related frustrations? You don't? You should try it sometime, it's quite relaxing. Don't you think it's quite good?"
”Yeah, it’s stress relief! Like our threeway with Agent Stauber!” Lisa shouted with a toothy smile.
”Failed threeway,” Saskia pointed out.
Rush pushed his glasses up his nose.
“… I have more healthy ways to vent my work-related frustrations. Though I guess you’re not hurting anybody.”
He leaned forward, putting his hands together. “All three of you are looking at jail for a long time-“
The door shot open.
Two tall, African-American women in suits stepped through. Both of them looked identical, like clones. One of them tapped Rush on the shoulder and said, “We’ll take it from here.”
“But-“
“Take the rest of the night off,” She said. Rush and Agent Gomez nodded before they left. The two women sat across from the three, and stared at them,
“… What did you three say your names were?”
"WHOA, are you guys twins?!" Ella yelled, standing up in shock. Then immediately sitting back down again when Saskia hit her thigh lightly. "Whoaaa… "
”Sorry about her,” Saskia rolled their eyes while putting their drawing back in their pocket. She then pointed to herself and her friends in turn. ”Saskia Otten, Ella Brookes, Lisa Turner. Did my drawing traumatise them so much they needed a night off? Maybe they should look for another job…”
The woman was silent and stony-faced.
“… What are your names? I do not believe you.”
”Saskia Otten, Ella Brookes and Lisa Turner.” Saskia repeated… before realising something. ”Ah. Is it because we're dead?”
"WHATTTT?!" Ella shouted. "Oh wait, yeah. That's right."
“No, those girls are dead,” The Agent jammed a finger on the table. “On paper, they are missing, but I know the truth.”
”That we all died fighting the Stygian Snake ten years ago?” Saskia said, not bothering to hide it. If they would even believe it. ”Those girls are us. Dying is really shit.”
"Yeah, there's no other amazing magical girl called Ella Brooks in the world!" Ella declared.
The Agent pointed at Saskia,
“… You bled to death…”
She pointed at Ella,
“… You got mobbed by Apparitions…”
Then she pointed at Lisa,
“… And you… you…”
She massaged her temples,
“… Got ripped apart in front of us.”
”... Huh?” Saskia tilted her head, squinting her eyes to try and recognise them. But it had been ten years. Ten years changed people a lot, them included. ”That's all correct.”
"Yeah," Ella shuddered, holding her arms. "Feels like it was only yesterday."
”... In a way, it was yesterday,” Lisa awkwardly chuckled as she tugged her collar.
”It practically was,” Saskia frowned, looking away. As much as she faked nonchalance, she didn't like being reminded of her death… or Ella's. She absentmindedly touched the clotted wound on her hand from earlier, scratching it until it started slowly leaking blood. ”Who are you?”
“We are…”
The Agent cleared her throat before she looked at her twin.
“… Vanessa and Clementine Washington,”
Lisa’s jaw dropped. Ella slammed her hands on the table and shot to her feet. Saskia's eyes widened.
Lisa moaned, leaning against the rooftop’s edge as they watched the club from the rooftops: Shadynasty's. They could hear the music playing as various faces were gathered outside the strip club, and none looked adorable. Lisa was leaning up against the parapet, on her hands and knees, but her elbows were up on the parapet. She was petting a black widow spider with one finger and her other arm on the parapet, looking bored to tears.
“No, we have to wait for this asshole to show up…” Jordan said with a roll of her eyes; she was standing with one foot on the parapet, looking through some binoculars.
“Look for a black Dodge Charger with tinted windows,” Kimberly said, leaning against an AC unit.
“Because, of course, he drives a Dodge Charger,” Jordan rolled her eyes again.
”Buuuutttt shouldn’t we be in there already? To prepare?” Ella asked, just straight up lying on the roof, looking just as bored as Lisa. But she also didn’t want to be near her black widow spider- so she’d lain down, legs and arms spread out in a starfish shape. Her arms were once again covered in colourful bracelets which definitely wouldn’t look out of place in a strip club. ”Otherwise it’ll looook like we’re folllooowwing him.”
“Oh no,” Jordan laughed. “The second we see him, ya’ll getting teleported inside.”
“None of ya’ll seem very thrilled to be inside anyway,” Kimberly shrugged. “So, we figured we’d stay out here until we spot him.”
”Speak for yourself!” Lisa laughed.
Saskia rolled their eyes at them both. They knelt beside Lisa, alternating between looking over the parapet and watching the black widow spider. ”What if he doesn’t come tonight?”
“Then we’ll just scope the place out another night,” Jordan shrugged. “Did the Hound give you a time limit?” She briefly turned towards Ella and asked her.
”He didn’t,” Ella sighed, rolling over and propping herself up on one arm. As far as she was aware, they didn’t. ”Buttttt it’s so boring being stuck in the hostel! And we can’t leave this city till we’re done!”
”I meeeeeeeeeeeeean…” Lisa trailed off. ”He never said we couldn’t leave the city; he just said he would ‘know if we ran’.” She finger-quoted, then shook her head.
”Which can mean a lot of things - oh! Does anyone want to try gambling when we’re done?!” Lisa asked.
”Oh, yeah, that sounds like great fun! Kinda like the gacha machines you get in Japan, where you get a random piece of merch, I’ve always wanted to try that-” Ella started rambling. ”But with money!”
”It’s nothing like that.” Saskia rolled their eyes. ”But I’m in.”
“I mean, I would say you three are the last mothafuckas’ that should be gambling but…” Jordan said while looking down the binoculars. “... You three desperately need to go outside. Experience some real world. Hell, I’ll front ya’ll some gambling money...”
”Really?!” Lisa asked.
“Yeah, really… oh wait,” Jordan realized. “Ya’ll don’t have IDs….”
”Nope!” Ella said cheerfully. ”We died at sixteen, why would we have IDs- wait, we can legally drink!”
“I mean, I think you can get a driver’s license at 16 in most states,” Kimberly shrugged.
”Well we didn’t,” Lisa shrugged.
”You don’t need it to watch anime,” Ella added.
“Well, without an ID you actually can’t legally drink,” Jordan noted. “And again, I don’t think ya’ll should be drinking willy nilly… sounds like a recipe for disaster.”
”Hey! We fought a Demon-Snake-God-Thing,” Lisa shouted, looking over her shoulder.
“I meeeeeeeean,” Kimberly said. “Maybe some time, when we got time, we can buy some drinks. Mix just a little bit with some soda or juice, and then they can try some. How’s that sound?” She asked them.
”Ohhh that does sound better than drinking around a loada men!” Ella grinned.
”You know, Adora never wanted me to drink…” Lisa mused. ”... For some reason.”
“Probably for a reason, yo!” Jordan laughed.
”Well, I mean I tried it but it tasted funny,” Lisa began. ”I don’t get why the other kids drunk so much - especially out the Chalice - like does that thing disinfect itself? Or did we all just pass around herpes or something?” She scratched her head.
“You mean like THE Chalice?” Kimberly raised an eyebrow.
"Well yeah, is there another Chalice?" Ella tilted her head in confusion.
"I always assumed Sully named it himself," Saskia said. "If the chalice is one that can create any liquid, then yes."
“Yes, I’m talking about that Chalice,” Kimberly confirmed. “I’m astonished that the Chalice fell into your hands. Just how many artifacts did ya’ll have?”
”Well…” Lisa trailed off, putting a finger on her chin. ”We got a ton! First that comes to mind is my best friend Adora! She’s like the greatest person in the world! But, her grandfather gave her the Trinity Rings when he died and she gave it to her friend!”
“... The goddamn Trinity Rings?” Kimberly tilted her head. “Okay, that’s two valuable artifacts you all just stumbled upon. What else?”
”We had plenty! I know off the top of my head is Amy and her kanabō, I think she said she had three Onis sealed inside of it. I’m not sure if it was legendary or anything,” Lisa rubbed her chin before a sinister grin crept across her face. ”I remember Ella nerding over it all the time! Amy would always cringe every time she saw Ella!”
"It was super cool I couldn't help it!" Ella whined. "It was like right outta an anime!"
”She walked out every time you came in the room!” Lisa shouted.
Ella pouted. She did, but it wasn’t Ella’s fault that she was interested and just couldn’t stop asking questions… Amy never told her it bothered her; she just started ignoring her!
“Okay, well, I think she had one of the Oni-Clubs or Demon Kanabōs, and unlike the Trinity Rings and the Chalice, there were several of them, so they were sort of mass-produced,” Kimberly explained. “Typically, they don’t leave Japan, but I guess it’s possible a few ended up in America.” She shrugged.
“What else?”
”Oh! Then there was my good friend Gretchen! Though, she hated when I called her Gretchen, she was always like-” Lisa pinced her nose and made her best impression of Greta’s famously high-pitched and nasally voice. ”-’Don’t call me that! It makes me sound like an old lady!’ But now that I think about it, Gretchen always kind of acted like an ol-”
“... What. Did. Gretchen. Have?” Jordan pinched the bridge of her nose.
”Oh! She had the coolest artifact! The Alchemist Ring! It was like the most valuable artifact we had! She could make potions; she gave out a bunch of healing potions that saved so many people. I helped her out a lot by using my spiders to gather her stuff and help her make potions. She was always shy and never talked, but she was sooooooo cute, and lovely and… I hope she made it.” Lisa awkwardly laughed as she twiddled her thumbs.
“... Three legendary artifacts. Anything else that comes to mind?”
Ella really hoped nothing else came to mind, because she was bored to death listening to Lisa list every single artifact that had been in the coven. Big deal! She could fight half of them with her fists. She groaned and lay back down on the ground.
”Oh, there was Reza! He had this cooooool sword called the Noble Vow, I don’t know much about him but he was really cool and nice,” Lisa explained. ”Far as I know, he always had the sword, but he cleaved the Stygian’s Snake’s minions apart like they were nothing. And I am looking forward to seeing him again when we get back.” She smiled like a fool.
“... Four,” Kimberly logged. “Go on.”
”Well, they also got this thing called the Bull’s Ring that our friend Kari found - oh yeah, and they got this sword called the Apparition Killer! I’m not sure what the App-Killer does, but when Daisy - one of the leaders of the Coven she was kind of an asshole though - put on the ring she almost fried the Stygian Snake!” Lisa excitedly said, before her tone changed. Her face dropped, and her smile turned into a frown. She shook her head.
“Everything good?” Kimberly asked.
”Y-yeah… I’m good…” Lisa shook her head.
“Well, that’s six,” Kimberly trailed off, then faced Jordan. “We really need to pay St. Portwell - and this Coven - a visit when this blows over.”
“Agreed,”
“But go on,” Kimberly said.
”There was the third-in-command of the Coven, Auri Auclair, she had this thing called the Butterfly Staff,” Lisa began, her demeanor reverted to usual, all smiles and laughter. ”It was so beautiful to see all the butterflies fly everywhere.”
“For once,” Kimberly shrugged. “I never heard of that. So, I guess we’re still at six legendary artifacts. Go on.”
”There was Auri’s sister, Paige,” Lisa rubbed the back of her neck. ”She was weird if you asked me.”
“The pot calling the kettle black,” Jordan laughed.
”She had this shield called the Shield of Vitality… it was this huuuuuuge shield-” Lisa stuck her hands out to accentuate how large of an object it was. ”That tanked attacks from the Stygian Snake and healed people… but again, she was kind of weird. Never liked her, hehe...”
“Fair,” Kimberly shrugged. “I wouldn’t say that’s legendary but I heard about the shield of vitality.”
”Oh! Oh! Oh! How could I forget my friend Sloane!” Lisa laughed as ”I mean, nobody liked her, but I always thought that she was soooo misunderstood. But she had a cool thing: she could make her versions of artifacts. She made a copy of everything we had! I think…”
"They were like, evil copies," Saskia pointed out. "Like one that stopped you from lying."
”I mean, I wouldn’t call them evil but…” Lisa scratched the side of her head, ”What would happen if one of the bad guys got their hands on it? Like someone like Morningstar?”
Ella’s head shot up, eyes wide. "It wouldn’t be good if that evil bastard got them!"
”Well, it's a good thing Sloane is probably keeping them all safe in her vault or something!” Lisa shouted. ”Where nobody bad is doing anything to them.”
Both Kimberly and Jordan exchanged glances.
“Oh, we definitely gotta’ pay her a visit,” Jordan laughed.
“Well, are there any other all-powerful artifacts literal children just fell into?”
”Well…” “... Hey wait!” Jordan interrupted as she turned towards the rest of the group. “He’s here!”
Lisa raised her head and saw a Dodge Charger pull into the parking lot… quickly, a an average heighted man lit a cigarette and walked into Shadynasty’s after adjusting his leather coat. Lisa pointed at him from the roof, looking back at the group, ”Oooooh! Is that him?!” She asked.
”Oh, is it?” Ella properly sat up, shuffling over to next to Lisa and looking down at the street.
“Yes, that’s him,” Jordan affirmed with a nod. “You three, gather ‘round, and remember the plan.”
”... What is the plan?” Lisa asked.
”Seduce him, take him out the back and slit-” Saskia cut herself off. ”Get information out of him.”
”That’s not much of a plan…” Ella frowned, still not feeling happy about it. She didn’t want to be around men grossly looking at attractive women. Not at all! ”How do we do that?”
Jordan facepalmed.
“Girl, I hate to be blunt,” Jordan began, “But you have a coochie. Men aren’t that complex. Just be nice to him. It’s literally that simple.”
”Look, she’s never liked someone that’s real,” Saskia explained, shrugging.
”Yeah, she never held a hand before!” Lisa laughed.
”Yeah! Why would I, when anime girls are right there!” Ella declared. ”But if it’s just being nice… that's easy.”
”Very easy…” Saskia said with a dangerous glint in their eyes.
”Too easy…” Lisa said with a grin.
“Alright, bunch up,” Jordan said as a Coral-pink sphere wrapped around them.
“Wait!” Kimberly shouted, “Don’t forget!”
She ran over and shoved a walkie talkie into Ella’s hands, then stuck a finger up, “Use it sparingly. We’re going to be keeping watch from out here.”
Lisa nodded her head.
“We’re counting on ya’ll,” Jordan said. “Don’t do anything crazy…”
Then she and Kimberly looked at each other before Jordan said,
“... Okay, nothing too crazy.”
“Byeeeeee!” Kimberly waved them goodbye before they disappeared in a flash of Coral-Pink magic.
They appeared in the least conspicuous spot for three people to pop out of thin air.
The bathroom.
It was the handicapped stall, which had a sink and a toilet. The stall door was left slightly ajar, so Lisa quickly ran over and pushed it closed. They could hear the music much more now.
”... I hope this isn’t the men’s bathroom,” Lisa mused out loud.
"If it is, you should use your spider summoning on Jordan," Saskia said ominously, but with a hint of discomfort in her eyes.
”Sure thing!” Lisa said with a toothy smile.
"I'm sure it isn't!" Ella stuffed the walkie talkie in the pocket of her bright pink trousers. She moved over to the door and tried to listen out through it… but it was hard to hear anything with the music. She turned back around to Lisa and Saskia, hands on her hips. "Alright, what's the plan? We can't just burst in there-"
"I already said go in, seduce him, lure him outside, torture him," Saskia intoned. "Why are you trying to plan, Ella? You're just stalling, aren't you?"
"Noooo… fine! Let's just go out there!"
”Hold on!” Lisa raised the back of her shirt, and spider legs came out. She put them against the walls (of the bathroom itself and the stall). She raised herself off the ground and looked over the stall. She then whispered, ”There’s like three people in here! All women! So no spiders in Jordan’s draws!”
She paused for a moment as she lowered herself back to the ground. ”Well, not unless she wants them.”
Ella let out a sigh of relief. She wouldn’t need to deal with any creepy men, yet! She did a quick check to make sure she had her channeller in her pocket, just in case - yup! The walkie talkie was accessible too. She steeled herself for what was to come. But the three of them could handle it!
"Alright, let’s go get whatshisface, and get outta here!" Ella shouted, a little too loud, and threw a fist in the air. Without waiting she barrelled right through the stall door and into the bathroom itself… grabbing both Saskia and Lisa’s hands on the way to drag them out with her.
"Slow down," Saskia complained as Ella started to drag them towards the bathroom exit.
”... Isn’t this what they were talking about?!” Lisa’s eyes met with the bewildered strippers who watched them get pulled out of a bathroom stall. One that was empty just minutes ago. They were pulled into the main room, and were probably assaulted by red. There was already a white girl dancing on stage, already naked.
”... There he is!” Lisa whispered (more loudly than she probably intended), and pointed at Jacob Stauber. Who was sitting at the bar, watching the girl shake ass with a beer in his hand. ”Okay, um… let’s come up with a plan… because I don’t think ‘Come outside so we can kidnap you’ would work.”
Ella was full on, openly staring at the girl on stage, eyes wide. It was hard not to! She was naked and attractive and Ella had only ever seen naked fictional- Not the time! "Alright, I have an idea. You see in this anime-"
"No way," Saskia cut her off, eyes narrowing. "The last time you came up with a plan from an anime we ended up chased out of a bank. I think…"
They trailed off, grimacing. "We probably need to pretend to be strippers. Or at least interested in him."
Ella shuddered. "But won’t it be weird if it’s all three of us? But none of us should go alone- Ahhh, what do you think, Lisa?"
Lisa stuck her arms out and looked down at the plain T-shirt, some black jeans, and some New Balance sneakers (because, thank God, Kimberly bought her something to wear other than those boots).
”... Do we look like strippers?”
Then she tensed up for a moment as her eyes shot open.
”... We also don’t have any money!”
"You’re right." Saskia looked down at their own outfit - an oversized grey sweater tucked into black cargo pants. "We can’t even pay off any strippers to help- Do people even ‘hook up’ in stripclubs with people who aren’t strippers?"
They then looked at Ella. "I hate to say it but… you’re probably the best dressed for it. But honestly, I think we’re screwed."
"Whhaattt?" Ella shook her head. Sure, she looked super duper cute in the bright pink jeans and strawberry themed crop top she was wearing, with a little bit of her waist showing, but! It wasn’t for seduction! Well, it wasn’t as boring as the other two… "You want me to go over there, Saskia? Me?"
”I mean…” Lisa trailed off. ”I won’t be too far away - and neither will my spiders!”
She gave Ella a toothy grin.
”So, just say hi, and give him the flirty eye, then I don’t know…” Lisa shrugged. ”Rub on his leg or something. We just need him outside.”
Ella looked at Lisa, then at Saskia who just shrugged, and then back at Lisa. It seemed she didn’t have a choice. Which was fine! She’d sacrifice herself so that her friends didn’t have to. "Alright, I’ll do it. I’ll get him outside.”
Before she went over, Ella held her hands to her chest and closed her eyes, before murmuring, "Sailor Soldiers please protect me."
She then steeled herself, and made her way towards the bar. She had no idea how to ‘give him the flirty eye’ like Lisa suggested, she didn’t even know what that was. Just start with speaking to him, but how did she do that without it looking weird? Did that even matter-
"Ahhh-" Ella was so in her own head that she tripped over her own feet as she got near the bar. But fate was kind! It sent her falling right towards Jacob Stauber, and she caught herself with a hand on his shoulder and her chest lightly pressing against his back. "Oh, I’m so sorry."
She inadvertently batted her eyelashes at him while panickedly blinking.
He caught her with his free hand, and said, “It’s all good, relax, relax, I’m not going to bite your head off for a simple mistake.” He helped her to her feet.
"Thank you," Ella laughed nervously, resisting the urge to run the instant his hand came anywhere near her- even though he was actually just helping her up! Alright think, Ella, think… How did anime girls get the male love interests in all the shows she’d watched? Well, normally it took episodes and they would accidentally touch and then look away and blush and- No! That wouldn’t work! Quick, think!
"Maybe it wasn’t a mistake but… fate," she smiled, finally managing to get out a cringy as fuck line. She leaned in past him as if going to the bar - but she couldn’t actually get anything to drink - so that she was also close to him. Her skin crawled, but she ignored it. For the mission! She tried to make her smile and gaze more flirty (but she really had no idea what she was doing). "Falling into someone so… handsome."
Jacob grinned as he said, “Heh, I don’t believe in fate, but… this?” He laughed. “It’s a happy accident.”
He turned around to face the bar as he said, “Can I buy you a drink?”
"Of course," Ella said, though she didn’t plan to touch any drink in here and also didn’t have ID- but they probably wouldn’t check it if he bought it right? That would kind of ruin the plan and she seemed to be getting somewhere. Get a drink, pretend to drink it, ask him to go outside- perfect. "I’ll have… whatever you’re having."
He held his bud light in the air, raised an eyebrow and incredulously laughed. “You? Drinking this?” He shook the bottle of beer. “Foooor real? I see you drinking those fruity drinks?”
"Well…" Ella laughed, cheeks heating up from the sheer embarrassment of trying to fumble her way through a normie conversation and failing at the simplest of hurdles! A fruity drink definitely seemed more up her alley but she had absolutely no idea about alcohol so that would only drag things out. Just fake it till you make it, Ella! "Don’t judge a book by its cover… I enjoy drinking both. You’d be surprised by all the things I do that don’t match how I look."
She winked, because it seemed appropriate, even though she was really talking about all the apparitions she killed- but he’d probably take it some other way!
“Alright then!” Jacob laughed as he turned around to the bartender and shouted, “Can I get another bud light!”
“You got it, sweetie!” the bartender responded. After popping the top, he quickly handed him another bottle and grinned as he held it out for Ella to take.
“... So, you gonna take it?”
Was that a trick question? No, no, don’t try to understand them, Ella… "Why wouldn’t I?"
Going with what seemed like a safe answer, Ella reached out for the bottle. She forced herself to let her fingers brush against his, rather than completely avoiding any touch, as she took it from him. It wasn’t quite the leg rub Lisa had suggested, but just that had her feeling a little sick! She took a tiny sip of it, just about managing not to grimace at the disgusting taste that didn’t help with her nausea. Okay, what to say, what to do…
"Thanks, hopefully, my company is good enough for the drink." Oh sailor moon did that make her sound so boring.
“Don’t worry,” Jacob said with a smile. “So… what brings you here? You don’t look like the type that hits up spots like this?”
"Oh, how could you tell?" Ella laughed, trying not to freak out. Was it that obvious?! Of course it was obvious! She couldn’t exactly tell him that she was here to lure him outside so her and her magical girl friends could torture him for information! Just keep faking it, she could do that, she’d learned from the best - anime about normal people. "I was just looking for some fun after being stuck inside for a few days. Forcing myself out of my comfort zone for a good night!"
“Yeah I was about to say the arcade is down the street!” Jacob laughed. “So, I guess your comfort zone doesn’t involve watching girls shake ass to pay their way through college?” He then laughed obnoxiously.
"Not normally," Ella smiled, glad that she was a naturally smiley person because she really didn't feel like smiling at him. She'd actually much rather just be watching 'girls shake ass' than talking to him. She twirled one finger in a pink braid, half a distraction for herself and half an attempted flirting tactic. "But I'm glad I came, otherwise I wouldn't have fallen into and met you."
“Hehe, me too-”
“... Sapphire is coming off the stage, now Neon is taking the stage!”
She walked over to the pole with a smile on her face, as she swayed her hips from left to right.
Jacob grinned before he dug into his pocket as he said, “Thank you for the company, but I got business to attend to… ”He pulled out a twenty… he handed it to Ella as he said, “Buy yourself a drink and get the fuck out of here. Trust me. It’s about to get ugly.”
He then stormed off towards the stage.
Shit! Ella couldn't let this all be for nothing, the inane normie conversation she'd had to suffer through- when would they get another chance?! No way was she letting him go. Desperate times called for desperate measures. Maybe she was also saving a strippers life with this?
Thinking fast, Ella followed after Jacob (pocketing the twenty first) before literally launching herself at him. At the same time she absorbed the bright pink of one of her rings, ignoring the burning in her chest at doing it without touching her channeler, increasing her physical strength. She wrapped her arms around him and pressed herself against his back, trying her hardest not to throw up. She had to do this! Seduce him or physically drag him out, she didn't care which! "Surely your business can wait?"
Jacob froze, before he craned his head over his shoulder at Ella.
“Wish it could,” Jacob said. “But, I got business to settle here....”
He attempted to pull himself free and continue towards the stage.
Lisa had ran to the corner of Ella’s peripheral, and waved her hands back and forth in some attempt to get her attention. Once she got Ella’s attention, she put her hands together as spiders came from underneath her t-shirt. They quickly formed web in between Lisa’s hands, that spelled out the letters…
NEED HELP?!
"Don't be like that…" Ella said. Unfortunately for Jacob, she was fairly strong without magic and with the strength enhancement it wasn't so easy for him to get out of her grip. She absorbed the colour from an earring, wincing at the burn and gaining more strength. It was more difficult fighting down the urge to let go, skin crawling this close- maybe if she imagined him as someone else! She couldn't imagine him as a woman, so she superimposed Tuxedo Mask's face over his so she felt slightly less disgusted while catching Lisa's message behind him.
She nodded fervently, while saying, "I promise it'll be much more worth your while…"
“Hey, what the hell? Let go of me!” Jacob tried to fight himself free… while Lisa ran over to Jacob, briefly raising the back of her shirt as spider legs erupted from her back, launching her forward towards Jacob before they shrunk back into her back. She got into the pose as if performing a flying kick and let out a quiet little.
“... Hiyah!”
That was drowned out by the strip club as her leg connected with the side of Jacob’s head… and then she fell and hit the floor, leaving a tiny foot-shaped print on the side of his head.
“ARGH! What the hell?!” Jacob shouted, as that didn’t have the effect he wanted, he kept thrashing back and forth.
"Oh my gosh, who is that crazy chick, let's get you somewhere safe before she tries again!" Ella gasped, regretting asking for Lisa's help. She could've knocked him out much more easily herself! But now the element of surprise was gone! She absorbed the colour of another earring, painful burns creeping out from underneath her crop top which she ignored. She then started trying to forcefully drag Jacob towards what she hoped was a way out.
Out of the corner of the eye she spotted Saskia face palming where Lisa had come from, before beginning to make their way over to help her up.
“No, let go of me right now!” Jacob shouted. “I’m starting to think you’re with her people.”
Lisa crawled to her feet, looked at Ella and Jacob, and shrugged. Out of the hidden crevices of her T-shirt, a wave of spiders was summoned, quickly traveling from herself to Jack. Then, the spiders quickly weaved a web that covered his mouth… before going into his clothes and disappearing. Lisa ran over to Ella and tapped her on the thigh and said, ”To your left! An exit! Let’s go!”
"Got it!" With an unnatural strength, Ella half lifted Jacob and dragged him towards the exit. It wasn't easy carrying a grown man, but thankfully she'd boosted her strength a little bit! "Sorry about this, but you made this all harder on yourself!"
Saskia chuckled as she ran past them. She opened the exit door first for Ella, who didn't have any hands free, to yank him outside. They managed to drag him out to the alleyway behind Shadynasty’s, and Lisa commanded more spiders to bind him up. Ella finally let go of him and stepped away, shuddering.
