@Nallore So Diana currently does not have a connection to Artemis, unless I'm mistaken? So that trait would need to be removed. I know she gains one by arc 3, but currently she's just a mutant, so the god heritage trait wouldn't apply.

The second point is I do want folks to try to follow prereqs wherever they can - so, like, Teleport Together I think you need to be rank 3 or 4 to get? So instead you can use the homebrewed rank 2 version I made for Percy, Blink Together, which does the same thing just covers smaller distances. Teleport 2 also requires you to take Teleport 1, so you'd need to drop something to add in Teleport 1.

Covering Fire you need to be rank 3 for, and also take Return Fire as a prereq. Headshot also requires rank 3, and you need to tak Stopping Power as a prereq.

So here's your list:

  • 1 - swap out god heritage trait for Quick Learner, everyone gets that one for being a student anyways
  • 2 - swap out Teleport Together for Blink Together - see Percy's CS
  • 3 - remove Covering Fire and Headshot
  • 4 - you can then add in one of: Double Tap, Point Blank Parry, Return Fire, Sniping, or Weapons Blazing

Otherwise I think you're okay, provided @Achronum and @BlueSky44 haven't found anything I missed
@Forsythe So my main confusion with this is - it's written as her armor not being functional any more? I think we would want this sheet to ideally reflect the Vicky actually have, rather than a hypothetical other version. Let's chat more on Discord, me, you, Blue, and Achro (who both understand the system better than i do I am sure lol)? My second point is this is just a test for the Contest of Champions, which Vicky isn't participating in, so you don't need to make a sheet?
@BlueSky44 looks good, move both of them on over!
@Blizz approved girlie move her on over

Guin Stark

Location: New Orleans Botanical Gardens
Skills: N/A

Guin hated this.

She vowed she was never going to go to an escape room again.

This felt too much like one.

They were probably already out of time, and they were no closer to solving this problem than they'd been at the start. Her patience was rapidly thinning with each passing second. There was another portal for them to move through, and Guin didn't waste a beat before rushing on through it, hoping that the universe would have mercy on them and they'd find Mary - or just make some tangible metric of progress. On the other side, she landed in Professor X's office - with a younger Mary. A Mary who looked like how she did when Guin first met her, before she even knew she was a mutant - when she was just a cocky kid, recovering from addiction by throwing herself into the most high-stress environment she could possibly find for herself, her last name buying her access she shouldn't have been allowed.

Guin hadn't been here for this conversation. But she'd heard about it. It'd been so long ago.

"Fuck. Exodus is out there. He's certifiable. We need to get out of here now before they kill everyone," Guin wanted to scream, to kick something. Instead, she took a breath, and nodded as Annie said the clock seemed relevant. She approached it slowly, running her hands over it, trying to get some sort of spark of intuition - but all she could think about was how slow they were moving, how they were running... out... of... time.

Time.

Guin pushed the hour hand forward, and the clock began to glow, a portal appearing soon after - a portal that lead to the mansion's parlor, where voices were growing near.

Avery Spellman

Location: Chandrilar -> Right Outside New Orleans
Skills: Necromancy

Ben's shoulders sank a bit in relief, as Max reminded him that James, Casper, and the boys were already out of the city. "Good," he breathed, a little calmer for the moment. The idea of not being able to get to them... It had been so terrifying that for a moment, he had forgotten that Max had already taken care of it. Gods, he loved that man. Being around Max was such a nice change of pace as it came to being around Casper. He knew his husband had a reputation for being chaotic, but Max's chaos had a shape to it, a sense - Casper's chaos was... Casper shaped.

Runa's eyes widened and she found herself shrinking back slightly as Max.... scolded her. He'd just been a boy the last time she had met him, but now he was carrying himself with this aura of authority, and despite being over six hundred years his elder, Runa very much still had the maturity and mentality of a 16 year old by Midgardian standards. Her own parents had never even scolded her before like this (they weren't disciplinarians at all, preferring to more or less allow their children to raise themselves). "I... I'm sorry, Max," Runa bowed her head slightly. She did not mention that she had a tendency to do this - that she never could remember to shut a door behind her when at home in her parents' palace either.

Max then revealed his guess that Loki was behind all of this, and she winced. But before she could open her mouth to offer an explanation, to share that she had been communicating with Loki to request his aid not too long ago, Max had devolved into giving his list of instructions. She really hoped he wasn't about to tell her how disappointed he was.

"You know I remember that spot," Ben said with a slight smirk. However, the smirk filed as he asked for the teenage goddess to protect him. He knew he wasn't as powerful as the rest of his family - he wasn't an omega level mutant, and he wasn't one of the next in line to be Sorcerer Supreme - and yes, he had been murdered in this city almost two decades ago, but he wasn't weak. He could defend himself. "I don't need a child to watch after me, Max," he complained.

But he didn't get a response from his husband, as Max took off at a run into danger. Ben sighed a bit, before turning to look at his Asgardian babysitter. "Well. You got a portal?"

Runa nodded, slipping on her sling ring - one of her favorite Midgardian artifacts - and she began to trace circles in the air, locking onto the point that Ben helpfully described for her. It was difficult and challenging, some sort of interference still cutting through her spellwork. She just got out sparks for a while, before finally the portal opened up in front of them, revealing a spot among the flower beds - she angled the portal carefully, positioning it so the laser essentially was transported straight on through, followed by Ben and Runa hoping on into the portal.

"Wait!" Avery shouted, before concentrating. New Orleans was known for many things and had many names - but in this moment, they were thinking of one in particular. The City of the Dead. There had to be some here, some parts that they could work with. They dug deep, searching into the ground, until finally a familiar sensation unlodged itself in their gut, as they grasped onto a small cache of bodies. Ten of them. Green mists filled their eyes and swirled around their hands, as dead arms shot out from the ground, breaking the soil and shambling upwards, as the zombies rose. "Defend," Avery instructed, before the zombies shuffled through the portal.

Ben winced slightly, seeing the undead host come on through. He couldn't help but wonder how many of their spirits were still around, watching as their bodies were puppeteered. Not all ghosts remained behind. Maybe these poor things had moved on already, been braver than Ben ever had been and went to go see what really was on the other side. His own body had looked like this, when his friends had retrieved it and brought it back to Genosha - a decaying mess, filled with maggots and rot. For a brief moment, Ben was frozen, his breath catching in his throat as he stared at the shuffling masses.

"Ben?" Runa inquired. "The weapon?"

"On it," he said, forcing himself to shove all of those thoughts into the back of his mind, as he set to work getting the weapon operational. His father had made them practice this at least once a month, preparing a random device that they would have to either assemble or disarm. If they failed to do so, the consequences were always severe. He remembered each failure with perfect recollection. The experience served him well here. It took some time - more than he would have liked - but the laser was prepared. "Done. We're ready here."

@Forsythe: Vicky would see that Cass saw the text, followed by an immediate frantic flurry of replies -
Omg???
Are you okay????
What's going on????
VICKY
CALL ME
VICKY
CALL ME NOW

And scarcely a moment later, Vicky would receive a call from Cass herself - should Vicky decline the call, Cass will immediately call back and try again. For the moment, she hasn't had her phone confiscated from her. And as Vicky is perhaps pondering what to do with her sister, as she gets into the CAGE van and it pulls away from the school, she'll see the flashing lights of the fire alarm going off at Stark Hall and hear the blaring sirens, as students begin to evacuate the building and head to the designated evac point.

@Natsu@BlueSky44@Kirah: Zari, Andy, Zelda, and Mary Sue were all doing different things and in different headspaces, but one thing is in common for them: they hear the fire alarms go off in the building, an irritating pulsing alarm with bright flashing lights. Students flood into the hallways, some of them still in PJs and evidently having skipped class for the day, with teachers and staff members urging for people to assemble on the field outside - the same field where many of our AA students met for the first time at the beginning of the year. But this is clearly not a drill - as the scent of smoke begins to pervade throughout the building.

April Flynn & Percy Novikov

Location: Avengers' Academy - Outside Danni and Dorian's Room
Skills: N/A

April's phone buzzed twice - first with a text from Leah, and as she began to read it, a preview of the text message from Dorian came in. She screeched, almost dropping her phone in surprise, before frantically swiping over to open up the thread with Dori and Danni. She read the message at least five times, trying to think of any possible way that message didn't say exactly what she thought it did. Dorian had had sex! With that tiny annoying freshman - with Percy! He had had sex! If she hadn't been spontaneously feeling better, this would have been enough to fully reset her brain, as she felt her thoughts stall and crash out.

Dorian had done it.

He'd actually fucking done it.

She knew that people their age had sex - she was almost certain her girlfriends had done it, with each other - but Dorian? And Percy? When they were having the weirdest meeting ever with Coulson, those two were...

April's jaw had fully hit the floor.

Percy's jaw had hit the floor as well - for an entirely different reason. He'd recovered from his laughing fit, wiping the tears from his eyes, only to hear his sister say something completely inconceivable. "A slimer? You're seriously calling my boyfriend a slimer?" Percy stressed, before his expression hardened. Diana was his sister, yes, and he did love her - but in this moment, he couldn't help but feel pissed. Not only had she walked in on them, but now she was calling his boyfriend a slimer and acting like she had the moral high ground? He was furious with her - and like many siblings, when it came to a fight, he decided to go for the throat. "If that's what you thought was happening in there, then it's no wonder you're still single, sister dear. You'll do wonderful with your ten cats one day - I think they'll feel comfortable in the midst of a Peeping Tom."

April gasped, her gaze switching back and forth from Dorian's text to Dorian to Diana to Dorian to Dorian's text to Percy - but before she could even process what was happening in front of her, she heard Danni's voice from down the hall - and felt the rush of heat as a fire exploded out from him. But instead of doing some cool tricks with the fire, or giving a short monologue, or screaming about the news that he had just received... There was something wrong. Danni was frozen in place, looking trapped. "Danni!!" April screamed, as several things happened in quick succession - Sabine ran onto the scene with a fire extinguisher, doing her best to put out the fire but it was no use. She grabbed Danni though, starting to pull him out of there. Diana pulled the fire alarm. The sprinklers set off immediately, doing their very best to smother out the flames, but it was burning too hot, too fast - the extinguisher hadn't been enough somehow, and now neither were the sprinklers.

She threw her hands out in front of her, grabbing onto the water that was rushing to the sprinklers - and she dialed the pressure up, bursting the sprinkler heads off of them, and exposing just the openings for the pipes. A miniature waterfall of water came crashing down from the ceiling, and combined with Sabine's efforts with the extinguisher and Diana's with the sprinklers, the flames were finally doused, leaving behind a gigantic blackened scorch mark, and the scent of smoke clinging to everyone's clothing, crawling down their lungs.

Sabine, Leah, Mads, and Diana wouldn't have much trouble breathing. But Dorian, Percy, Danni, and April would all find themselves coughing, struggling somewhat with the smoke inhalation. And of course, thanks to the sprinklers, they were all positively sopping wet, standing in the hallway as the alarms blared and students began to evacuate.

Percy coughed, the smoke immediately getting to him somewhat - despite his recent proximity to Danni, he wasn't usually around fire this much. He thought about teleporting out, but he didn't want to leave people behind - and after the marathon with Dorian, he didn't know if he even had it in him to teleport himself again. "Congratulations, we tested the school's fire preparedness. We should leave now," he mumbled, reaching for Dorian's hand as he located the nearest staircase - it wasn't too far.

"Oh my god, Danni, are you okay?? Danni please say you're okay!! Danni!!!

Of course, one last thing had yet to happen - one final domino from this miniature inferno.

The dragon egg shook, as cracks began to form across its surface - and then, suddenly, it hatched.
@Trainerblue192 Looks almost perfect! I think he technically has one too many powers, but as I just said to Beanie, I don't wanna make you give up a power that is intrinsic to the character - and I've already put down a lot of constraints. So that's fine. He then has 3 traits, and at rank 2, I think he should only have 2? Well, 2 + Quick Learner. I just offered to Beanie to trade in Quick Learner for a different trait, so if you super need to keep those 3, we can do that. If not, let me know which one you'd wanna remove <3
@Achronum looks great!! move him over
