Mab looked on as Rose walked away from their table after dropping that bombshell. They had gotten the same letter? That was odd to say the least. What could it be, they wondered, that could cause this? One of the few people's in their lives had gotten a letter on the same day telling them to go to the same park. Looking after their friend, they anxiously waited for them to return and explain more.

Taking the cup from their friend, Mab held it in their hands, feeling the bright warmth against their almost shaking hands. "That's rather odd isn't it?" If she had gotten the same letter as Mab, she might be as put off as Mab was. The whole tone of it all was burningly ominous, and that alone made it Mab unwanting to go alone. "Honestly, if anything, it's luck we both received one, I wouldn't want to visit that park alone." They smiled, wanting to see what Rose's thoughts on the matter were.

Arthur felt as if Demetri was condescending towards him at first, and didn't much appreciate that. He understood it was coming from a place of experience, him having been aware of his demigod-hood a lot long that Arty had, but it still irked him. Nevertheless, he wasn't one to turn down assistance from somebody who actually knew what they were talking about. As such, he nodded curtly, saying, "I'd appreciate that, thanks." and tacking on, "I'll make sure to have it from now on, for sure."

He gave a surprised look at Andy, and realized that, indeed, Ash had been left behind from the group. "Alright, you know where to find us." He knew Ash could take care of herself, and they both didn't need to run back to get her. In the meantime, Demetri had said something that confused him a little bit. "I'm sorry, what exactly is a Primordial?" as far as his personal studying had brought him, that was out of scope for hih. It certainly was a cool name, and something he very much wanted to hear about.

Here we go kids.

Mab was startled as Rose came up to talk to them, being totally absorbed in thought. Quickly folding up the letter, and throwing it into their purse, they blinked for a few moments, trying to come up with words to say. "I don't-" They started, about to explain that they didn't, in fact, own a cat. Shaking their head, they restarted. "I just got a letter is all, and it's upsetting." They didn't want to say too much, as the reasons for their concern would be no doubt confusing to Rose. After a moment, they drained their cup of tea, before nodding, "And more tea would be very very nice."

Clearing their throat for a moment, they continued to say, "When you get off work, if um." They struggled for a moment, not normally liking to be dependent on people like this, but this was something they honestly didn't think they had the strength to do alone. "If you're free, I gotta go to Oak Park. Would you mind joining me?" They asked in a tone they didn't often use. It was soft, vulnerable. This entire thing had thrown them off in a serious way. "And um... Yeah food sounds really good too," they said, trying to drag their mood back up, "Just the usual, french toast and bacon." A morning like this deserved comfort food, and that was exactly what they were going to throw into their body.

Arthur brightened up at getting the okay from Andy, strolling along next to her on the way to the dining pavilion. As for his half sister's invitation, he gave a nod, "That sounds good to me, after that attack, I think it might be a good idea." Now that he knew that even this place wasn't totally safe, that lit a fire under him to do whatever he could to make sure he could stay alive. Particularly, he might double back and get his dagger after eating, thinking he may as well sharpen up his skills with that.

As for Andy's question, though it wasn't directed at him, he was happy to say that he actually knew a thing or two about this. Burying himself in the Greek mythos afforded him a bit of knowledge, and it just so happened that that overlayed with the fabled god of sleep. He looked over to Andy, and remarked, "He's the God of Sleep, and more powerful than that sounds. According to legend, he knocked out Zeus to deliver a message to Poseidon during the Trojan War." That felt like a weird sentence to say out loud, talking about the gods as real people, and legends as historical events, but nevertheless, that was apparently fact.

Mab was shook, to say the least. As they sipped on a lukewarm cup of breakfast tea, Mab's eyes kept glancing down at their bag, the letter sitting on their mind like a weight that couldn't be lifted. To a normal person, it's contents would be exciting, or at the very worst anger inducing, but to them? It provoked almost a sense of fear. Mab's name, their real name was on that letter, ans to the best of Mab's knowledge, those syllables had never so much as crossed their own lips. It was, therefore, confounded to them as to how whoever wrote this to them knew Mab's name.

Upon deeper reflection, if the author had been watching them since they were little, maybe they knew Mab's name from their parents. But if that was true, maybe the one thing that Mab had held onto wasn't as important as they thought; the thing that kept Mab's parent's in their mind a fantasy that lacked real substance. That was a possibility that Mab refused to entertain. Their only option, then, was to go where the letter told them, and get the answers Mab needed. Rose, they hoped, would be going with them. This wouldn't be something they'd want to go through alone, and with Rose being the closed thing they had to a friend, they figured that this was precisely what friends were fore.

As the last of the monsters perished, Arthur looked over to his half sister. "I didn't think to bring my dagger with me to lunch." He explained. Why would he have? Maybe it was commonplace around here to be armed at any given moment, but he hadn't picked up that habit. He thought that this was a safe place, so even with the looming threat of monsters, he didn't expect them to appear randomly. That being said, now that he'd been through this, he would be keeping it on him; This encounter taught him that.

With that in mind, he considered that he should learn how to get better with his knife, or at least some type of weapon. Summoning his skeletons was great and all, but a weapon might be a more reliable way of defending himself. Approaching Andy, he smiled over to her, "You seem to be getting a handle on things," he said kindly. He too, hadn't yet had a chance to eat much and continue to ask, "Would any of you mind if I joined you all back at the pavilion? I still need to finish eating as well." He mainly asked for Andy's sake, sure, they'd said they were okay, but that didn't mean they totally were.

Oh boy this'll be something.
