@Lord WraithIf I stick Lucas in Lisa and Harrison's car for the ride in, is there anything I should know about them?
That moment when Google Maps reminds you you're writing fiction...
Hahaha! He might think hand-me-downs or Value Village or Sally-Ann's first, but yeah... Further time in Zeke's presence would tell him that no, no, those didn't go through any voluntary donation process. Especially that leather jacket.... And the motorcycle, for shame, Zeke.

And I'm glad it makes sense and works out, Greenie... >.> I'm making up nicknames, or lordy, help. :D I always get a little worried I'm gonna toss out something that is not at all in line with what the writer's thinking, but I do like me some Lucas time. He's plenty fun to write. And with the cast of colourful characters we've got, things are gonna get awesome, I am so damned certain of that.
Ah, I don't usually assume that psionic energy effects mental things unless it's spelled out explicitly because I am really bad when it comes to understanding how powers work unless I came up with them and even then... *flails* But I think I get it now, ypeyep. Thanks for your patience. :)
@GreenGrenade The answer depends on what you want or do not want him to know, as well as how old and how long Gareth has owned each particular item. When he's concentrating, or just paying attention to a certain point, Lucas can pick up a fair amount of implied facts, but not always actual facts. For instance, someone shouting might usually mean anger, and if he doesn't manage to catch the words or the rest of the conversation, that's probably what he'd assume, but it could also just mean someone forgot something and the person's trying to let them know, or any number of other reasons to shout. Except to be heard over noisy things, cuz he'd probably be hearing the noise, too. :P

Most things that are on or always near a person, Lucas tends to assign some importance to, unless it's clothing. Simply because that's the general method of dealing with things someone thinks are important, they keep them close. (barring things inconvenient to carry around and very valuable items)

After reading Gareth's sheet, my best guess is that he'd seem like a steady, solid individual, as his clothes wouldn't be chockfull of every emotion under the sun, but would reflect a certain calm. But also someone he might be afraid of getting angry. It depends on which clothes he happens to have with him, and how much his anger is fuelling his Mindjack persona, because a spike of anger would be more disconcerting than a steady irritation and the combination of Mindjack emotions with civilian emotions would be confusing. There's also the matter of that gun, and how often Gareth has been in the line of fire in those clothes. As Lucas could pick up on the noise and heat of the gun's use, and potentially the rapid motion of air over the clothes(though he might just put that down as maybe he lives in a windy place, unless he focused on it more intently). He'd be able to tell that Gareth is, at very the least, a man of action, as his hands probably do not shake when he holds that gun.

He'd probably be able to pick out his name, and the names of a few other people, most likely Leah and Danny, though placing their relationship would be harder.

The picture, without actively seeing what it is and what it's depicting, would mostly come across as a well-liked piece of paper. As I'm assuming he hasn't folded it, Lucas could hazard a guess that it's a picture(particularly if it's old and before the time of digital printing, then he'd have the dark room process to go off of), but it could be a postcard, even without being written on. If he saw it was a woman he'd probably assume she's family. And he might, but only might, say she's Leah, most especially if Gareth ever says her name while looking at it.

He might hear some of the conversations Gareth had with Danny concerning his recent actions, and if any of the clothes are what he was wearing when he learned of Leah's death, touching them would probably tell Lucas that there is heavy loss in Gareth's life, and he's still feeling it, to some extent.

And the bag itself might well tell him how well-travelled Gareth is or isn't.

It generally takes him a bit of time to officially assimilate all the little hints and clues and assumptions into an impression that he can articulate and reason out. Right off the bat though, he'd accept Gareth as a calm, but potentially dangerous person.
@Heathen Oh, my bad. I did look under the Invisibility hider(*giggles like a mature person*), but I didn't see any mention of it being a mental thing for other people. At least, that was how I read it. I just saw it not working for technology, which could be explained by the spectrum, and that strong minervas can sense her, which I took to mean that if they're using a different sense, ie, a strong sixth sense maybe, they might detect her that way. Apologies for the misunderstanding.

But hmmm, yeah, he's been around and seen some strange things, but I don't think he's ever dealt with an invisible someone being nearby and invisible, so if it should work on him, as he's not a strong mental minerva, then I doubt he'd be able to sense her things. That might change if she goes invisible around him a lot and he has the time/opportunity to be paying attention instead of hiding for his own safety... :P Out of curiousity, how does her invisibility work on other senses? Like, if she's being loud, or poking someone?
@Wade WilsonYessssss, I have never rped with you, but I would like to. So, get cracking, eh. ;)
<Snipped quote by Nemaisare>

It would depend on how experienced your Minerva type is. Average Minervas will not be able to sense her at all while she's invisible, even belongings she's carrying as she can extend her power to anything she chooses. Now someone like Serena will be able to 'see' her without so much as breaking a sweat.

As far as her forcefields, that's a matter of debate we can discuss later. However her force projections are made of the same energies that grant her invisibility so I would assume it would interfere with Lucas' ability in some type of way.

Oh, I was reading her psionic energy manipulation of the colour spectrum as meaning that her power, when working to make her or anything else invisible, is not actively reaching into anyone's minds but bending/refracting light so it doesn't bounce off her in a way that would make her visible. The invisibility being more a product of physical manipulation of existing parameters than a mental adjustment. If I'm wrong, I'll admit to being confused... :(

If I'm not wrong, then the reason Lucas would still be able to know that Janelle is about when she's invisible is not because the invisibility itself isn't working on him, but because it doesn't stop the objects and their memories from existing. And as they exist and aren't mentally invisible, he'd still know they're there. Of course, if she's farther than 10' away, he wouldn't notice anything. And if she didn't have any thing with her, he also wouldn't notice anything. He wouldn't be able to see her or them, and he wouldn't know her exact location, just that she's nearby.

If it is more of a mental adjustment, then that would change his perceptions. I'm not sure if it would work completely to wipe out the transmitting of memories, but it would certainly manage to quiet or blur them. More consideration necessary.
That moment when you've got half the cast cursing your weather choice.

Okay, time to babble. It's a thing I do, I'm good at it.

Lucas says screw everyone with guns or piercings. You all suck. *coughs* Well, that was succinct...... >.> Planes also suck.

*ahem* I'll just bother anyone who might have a strange read to Lucas, rather than looking at character interactions, as, unless I am very much mistaken, it seems everyone else will be joining up with the convoy once the rp starts. Since it looks like most folks are starting out already in Pointe Bordeaux. @Bigg Slamm I think Anthony's was the only backstory that didn't specify his end location. If he's with the convoy already, we got things to talk about, eh.

@Atrophy Okay, just gotta say, fun read... Also! As Grace is a heavy, and growing heavier, individual, for the most part, I don't think this would register with Lucas upon immediate meeting. But any object she sets her weight on, especially repeatedly or for awhile, like, say, riding in a car, or just walking on a floor, would have a delayed register with Lucas of having far more pressure put on it than she looks capable of. I don't think he'd put two and two together for a while, but strange looks through her towards whatever object she was most recently interacting with might happen at first until he realises what's going on. He also might not help things by wincing whenever she starts walking. Luckily, roads are made to endure heavy loads, and they're mostly in more natural areas, so this shouldn't happen often, but he'll probably have a few funny, or awkward, things to say at her at some point. What do you think? Going with her weight on her shoes too much? They would be feeling it pretty constantly...>.>

@Heathen I'm relatively certain Janelle would read fairly ordinarily. I don't know if she's had genital reconstruction surgery, but I doubt Lucas pays close enough attention to these things, like seriously, who would even want to? (don't answer that) Soooo, moving on from there to her powerset. First off, being invisible, Lucas would certainly not be able to see her. But unless she's naked at the time or in a crowd, he'd probably still notice that she's there. Or well, her clothing. So, if she winds up having an outfit or item she wears/carries with her a lot, he might be able to tell she's around regardless of how much other 'noise' he's getting. Though it might take him a moment, and he'd be very confused if he couldn't see her. :P

I did wonder about her forcefields though, as energy can sometimes disrupt or distort other energy. I don't really have any sort of scientific explanation for Lucas' psychometry, but given as there's a broadcast thing that occurs, I'll assume that it can be disrupted by some things, at the very least. If you'd like, we could look into Janelle's psionic energy being one of those things? It'd probably require pretty specific circumstances to discover, but that's what plotting is for. ;)

@Everyone else, if I missed something you think might ring an alarm, or just weird?, bell with Lucas, toss me a line. Also, if you just want to plan out first meetings or thoughts on potential interactions, hit me up. Plotting and character stuffs is fun!
Lucas will just stare at them all incredulous and wonder how they've managed to get through life thus far. Water is wonderful.
