You know what they say, right?

"Rather crushed dreams than crushed windpipe"

That seems like a far more practical 'they' than I've usually encountered...

So today I shipped off my desktop to my new base without realizing that's where I had my WIP CS draft saved.

I'll doubtfully be able to get that work back with my current schedule before the deadline, so I'll bow out now.

Maybe next time, folks.

That sucks. Maybe you'll be able to hop in later.
Just the dermal armouring. I think alligators use cartilage or bone, but I imagine the effect might be somewhat similar in execution. Barring the whole, Alex is not a reptile thing. :P There's a few other animals, obviously, who've evolved similarly, but I like alligators, so I went with them. Ha.
I totally lied when I said all I'd change were the notes at the end of Andrew's bio. I am such a nervous fiddler. Friday cannot come soon enough.

All hail Stein's begging and crying feat.

@knighthawk I'm calling it, Alex's power officially makes him an alligator. Or a crocodile, but alligator fits with his naming alliteration. :P

I think I was an oldie. It's been so long, but I recognize the S:ARG and the banner, somehow... I'd be down for joining again.
I agree. I mean, I do think "daughter of two Iranian immigrants, grew up in New York all her life, currently a college student studying anthropology" is plenty interesting on its own. There's nothing wrong with simple and straightforward. Also, anthropology is fun. :P

I do think that introducing parent/daughter cultural differences and incorporating some of the current prejudices would definitely add onto that foundation though. It seems likely that even if you don't want to make it differences on the Iranian cultural front, it could still very easily be generational culture. And it's always good to include the personal effects of a global issue when it's something that would have an impact, more or less, on all the characters involved. It could definitely add further dynamics to character interactions during downtime.

So, go for it if you want. :)
Also, Ellara is an awesome name and I like her power, too.

And here is the masterlist of faceclaims.
I think and this might have changed but Hollow Art had a pretty good search engine for faces. You then have to google search the names you come up with but it's a good fast reference. Also, if you're still looking when I get to a computer, a friend once linked me to a face claim collective I should have bookmarked. :)

Coolio. I like the idea of characters that might know someone but not actually know them while the other might have no idea who they are at all.

Not sure I'd go that route with Andrew, I have no idea how much time he'd spend on youtube or what he'd be looking at in general on there, stuff to think about! Janelle might have pointed him out as having a few good educational videos, but he might well never have looked at them.

I also hope you are aware that your signature is oddly hypnotizing. I think it's that eye flutter, it just drags the attention away from everything else... o.o
Heh, I was looking up animal group names trying to come up with something. Kaleidoscope is apparently used occasionally for butterflies. I thought it might be a long, awkward word that would fit a bunch of glass bits whirling around.

But good to know. :P Cluster it shall be. Occasionally. Or just "Holy shit!" >.>

Also, I was wondering if you were thinking of potential recognizability with Skylar being on youtube?
@Heathen What do you call a bunch of glass shards? Apart from a dangerous mess. I mean, when they're all together being controlled by some guy doing... whatever he's doing with them. Is it a swarm? Cluster? Sharpness? Kaleidoscope?
