Oh, I don't generally mention it because like I said, I can just highlight text. Lighter shades are generally all-around better, but more saturated and darker reds or greens are pretty hard to read for me. So I could read something in say salmon a lot easier than I can firebrick, or even orchid is a lot better than say purple.

There were quite a few things that Samantha brought up that he agreed with, but he wasn't going to try to father Chris anymore than what he did by speaking up. Everyone has their way of coping with the realization of how this career works out, and he was not one to judge when it came down to it - he wouldn't be surprised if one of the newer members would have a breakdown sometime in the next couple of cases or weeks. All newcomers have some break sooner or later, not many going past six months without one, especially field agents.

Nodding his head when Chris declared she could handle it unless they had enough files for two people. He understood she wanted to prove herself in the field, and he would let her do so. "If you need help, call me, okay?" leaving it as a question, so he knew she understood that she could call him whenever.
Lucian was maybe known to be more of a father-figure character when it came down to caring for his team. For almost a decade, he has helped past coworkers seek help or resources even before the promotion to Unit Chief.

Along with cases and team members, he remembered this one young field agent that he helped move to a different department in the Bureau. The kid kept trying to pull through all the thick and thin of the job, and it was devolving his mental state. Lucian received multiple late-night phone calls along with the agent showing up at his house to talk about life. He would not be surprised if at least one new agent tried to confide in him or one of the older members of the team.

Fully understanding why the young agent wanted to change the topic, he allowed it without saying anything. She brought up the teammates that missed the flight and shrugged his shoulders. "They are new and not used to the late-night phone calls. Both of them are probably heavy sleepers still," he mentioned in a more joking way at the thought of Darin and Ray not flinching to their phones going off. Though they were younger men, so he would be surprised if they were sleeping around 10 pm.

"In all seriousness, Darin and Ray will probably work together back at headquarters unless Darin wants to catch the next flight, bus, or vehicle out here. There is always the next case," he stated while adjusting himself in his seat.
Thinking about it, "I don't know if I could handle Ray being around that much on a case. He's quite distracting," the chief added, which was not a lie. The young man was flamboyant and constantly distracted himself if there was not a solid goal for him.

So I think for my first post Darin is going to be reacting to the call to arms and scolding himself for sleeping through his messages and begins working from the office before calling Lucian to explain his own absence. How's that sound?

Going to try and get a post up this weekend. Been getting killed at work this week with so many projects going into fabrication and constantly pumping out drawing sets.

Last thing I've been wanting to do when I get home is sit at a computer lol.

Do not worry about it, Lord! Life comes first. If it ever needs to come down to it and you need to take a break, we can always continue roleplay replies and you can always jump back in whenever. I understand needing breaks especially when work/school/life is biting you in the ass repeatedly. lol

During his time in college studying the dramatic arts, Darin found himself amidst the police as a murder had taken place on campus, while he was talking to the police about his own alibi during the time of the murder, he felt a twinge of excitement rise in his chest, it felt like he was part of a story and it excited him. After his conversation with the cops he was in his dorm room late at night when he heard a commotion outside his room, looking out the window he bore witness to someone being attacked, and from the sound of it, a metal bat was being used. He called the campus security and even rushed from his dorm room to head outside and assist whoever was being attacked, soon enough the police arrived and the man was caught, and the victim, his friend Richard was rushed to the hospital. After all was said and done, Darin felt a great amount of joy and pride for saving someone in need, and so after he graduated his course in Acting and voice work, he immediately turned back to school to study criminology.

Surprisingly enough, having studied the dramatic arts, he found that it helped his understanding of other peoples behaviors to tell if they were lying, or acting in a strange manner. Although, admittedly to him, he found the whole idea of committing murder and other serious crimes strange in of itself. He spent the next four and a half years of his life studying and improving his skills not only as a possible policeman, but due to his personal knowledge of behavior, he began looking into the Behavioral Analysis Unit of the FBI, which really caught his attention. Upon his final test in his final year of school, his score on his final was a hefty 95%! After graduation he immediately set his sights on the Bureau and applied to join up, after countless interviews, and tests both physical and mental, he was hired and welcomed into Quantico as a full time Profiler at the age of 27. He has been working with the BAU for about 10 months now under orders of one Unit Cheif Neagou.

Background information
Darin was born into a nice and quiet family in Richmond Hill Ontario Canada, though shortly after his birth his family moved to the United States for a job opportunity that his father had encountered. He enjoyed his life tremendously with his family and eventually welcomed his little sister into the world, which made life all the more exciting for him. Though when he was around seven years old he was diagnosed with Autism, which somewhat shook things around for the family as they would adjust for his needs and trying to better understand how to raise an Autistic child. His mother and father took care of all his needs and did everything they could to raise him right and all was well for a time. Unfortunately, School was not as forgiving as home was, and Darin was often bullied for being different than most of the other kids in school, this bullying would continue until the seventh grade, where the bullying got so intense that Darin began thinking his own life to be worthless and without much joy. His parents, furious that despite their efforts, nothing was being resolved, then pulled out of the school and transferred to another school, and where Darin expected cruel words and cruel words, he instead found acceptance and companionship with those around him, even if it was only for one year before High School, he was much happier.

Unfortunately with the years of berating and insults came very heavy thoughts of self doubt and hatred. He sought out help from a doctor who prescribed him anti-depressants to help take his mind off of such self deprecating thoughts, and they work well, of course he would have bad days, but with the new School, his medication, and the exciting future of High School coming up, he was doing a lot better. This joy would even continue into High School where he was even in a class dedicated to helping Autistic students to better understand their condition and their place within the spectrum. Darin would come to learn that he was on the high functioning end of the Autism Spectrum, which he found rather interesting, and as a result put all he had into his studies to prove he could keep up with everyone else even if he had a little difficulty at first. During his time in High School he came to love his Drama Classes and even became a singer in his school Choir, to try and become more confident in himself. Over the course of his High School career he came to graduate with rather stellar grades and while still struggling with his thoughts about himself, was overall a much happier person.

He took a year off after Graduating to get a part time job and build up his savings for college, and to take a break from school in general, one can only go for so many years without being burnt out from going to classes each and every day. Once he was done with that he would go to college for the Dramatic Arts where he planned to graduate and become an professional actor/voice actor. Until he found his true passion, becoming a BAU Profiler.

As of now, Darin is a little more on the quiet side but puts on a smile whenever hes talking to someone, even if hes struggling with something on the inside. He also caries around a squishy stress ball, that he can usually be seen holding, or sometimes even a deck of cards which he will shuffle absentmindedly while he thinks.
