Bio

You JUST scrolled down!

Hello out there! My name's Mason. I like a lot of random stuff like comics, Masters of the Universe, M*A*S*H, X-Files, conspiracy theories, as well as a good superhero themed role play! I'm more of a DC freak than a Marvel zombie but I did grow up on mutants and 3rd string heroes. Once in awhile I'll make a few micros in MSPaint for my RP's because I love designing heroes as much as I do writing/reading about them. I'm about to try and get another Amalgam Universe themed game off the ground, if you're interested gimme a shout!

My top RP's on the Guild:

Young Justice 2020
Justice League Unlimited
Titans of Gotham
Champions of Engine City
Marvel Reborn
Legion of Superheroes Return [stat based]

Top Characters:

Ditto - Young Justice series
Bulleteer - Justice League Unlimited
Leviathan - Titans of Gotham
Fastlane - Champions of Engine City
the Thing II - Marvel Reborn
Ultra Boy II - Legion of Superheroes Return

I've been RP'ing for awhile. I mostly RP to keep my writing skills up to par, and I generally RP between Casual and Advanced. I've been a member of the guild for quite a bit, pre Guildfall even. Ninety percent of the time you'll find me in some superhero themed RP or something based off of another fandom like MotU or Power Rangers. Currently in the process of developing my own comics!

Favorite DC heroes (I won't go into villains to save space) in no order: Aquaman, Hawkman, Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner), Superboy (the clone), Swamp Thing, Starman, Animal Man, the Ray (90's era), Impulse, Captain Atom, and Batman Beyond.

Favorite Marvel heroes list: Human Torch I & II, Capt. Mar-Vell, Black Bolt, the classic Destroyer, Havok, Multiple Man, classic Scarlet Spider, Spiderman 2099, Nova, and Colossus.

OTHER FAVORITES: Space Ghost, Haunt, the Maxx, Shadowhawk, Green Hornet, Madman, Doctor Star/Andromeda, the Phantom, He-Man, and Zorro.

A dozen. I'll make another post with Batman soon to tie some stuff together and close this arc up. Then I need to see about recruiting a couple more peeps to fill the void.

I've watched it at least 10 times... I *think* that's a Supergirl reference near the 1:40 mark... and Alfred straight up mentions the exploding penguins from Batman Returns. This films gonna be so badass...

I'm to old for this shit.

Exactly. LOL

Justice league trailer is out and it's soooooooo good. It's ridiculous how awesome this flick is gonna be.

I dig it dude.

@Weird Tales So while I was making this thing up I thought to myself "Lex wouldn't sponsor somebody if he still had to rely on places like Pepsi, Wal-Mart, and Penzoil to sponsor the car as well." Luthor would JUST want his name brand out there. To hell with everybody else. So here he is in the purple and green Luthor is known for...

@Member 00492i understand some things might have come up, but I would like to note that Red Arrow did take a shot at J-Man while enhanced with the speed. It's nothing big, and it's possible you could have missed or even forgotten it. I mean you do have other things in life on your mind.

EDIT: which likely only made it easier to grab the wife and what not. Though you could easily say it missed. Just wouldn't want the bat or wife for that matter get the wind knocked out of them by a boxing glove arrow lol

I can edit something in about the boxing glove arrow. I tried to work in as many scenes for everyone as I could [clown going back below deck for phantom girl, Bats shouting at G-Man, etc.]. I'll go ahead and mention the arrow now...

EDIT: I had Batman narrowly avoid the arrow en route to save the judge's wife.

@Heathen I like everything I'm seeing so far. The reference image, the codename, the powers... I love some size manipulators. If we can get him accepted over the weekend we could use more noob characters in Ep. 3 - Training Day. That one's moving a little slower than the others.

You could see even with a few training sessions the team was still made up of raw recruits. Terry McGinnis was gonna be teaching these kids for awhile in the same manner Bruce Wayne helped him remove his head from his ass. The twins were tearing more stuff up than they needed to be. G-Man was stuck on the top of the ship looking down at J-Man and the judge's wife looking for his chance. Red Arrow got a burst of super speed from Accel and put it to use taking down a few clowns. And Phantom Girl seemingly disappeared. Batman saw a civilian get injured as the animal shapeshifting twin turned into a gorilla and busted debris thrown at him by one of the pale painted faces. Terry had finally seen enough. He went out of stealth mode and went right for the J-Man and narrowly avoided one of the custom arrows of the archer, called Red Arrow, that was fired last second.

He flew at his top speed using boot jets and ripped the clown away from his would-be date of the evening. A couple Jokerz came from below deck as one of them mentioned...

"Wait, did you guys hear something down here?" he asked turning around to see what might have made the noise.

It didn't take Terry much time to KO the J-Man. He turned and looked up at G-Man as the other two clowns approached him.

"Don't be afraid of the dance floor kid!" Batman yelled out to the other young hero.

Terry dropped a couple smoke pellets to make an escape, flying and grabbing the judge's wife as the man himself jumped off the ship as quickly as he could. However the judge busted his ankle in the drop to the harbor. Animal was presently in the form of a tiger and chasing clowns around the harbor and parking area.

Later...

The authorities were cleaning up the mess. The judge was getting medical aid from this day and age's flying ambulance that was currently resting on the ground. The 5th Precinct PD were around taking in all of the Jokerz still on the scene and loading them into the back of prisoner transport vehicles. Commissioner Gordon was on the scene and giving Batman and his team an ear full.

"Who in the hell told you it would be a good idea to get a team of untrained metahumans and bust into a hostage situation?" Gordon asked poking Batman's chest with her finger.

"I..." he began to respond but she wasn't really looking for an answer.

"It was a rhetorical question, junior. I know the same people you know. Is he really doing so bad off that you've gotta make a junior Justice League for Gotham?" Gordon asked with a puzzled expression on her face but the scowl still in her eyes.

"Commissioner, I'm really..." Batman began saying again before Gordon's cell phone ringing cut him off.

"I'll talk to you later about it kid. That's the mayor buzzing me to check on the judge. Don't let me see these kids play superhero again before their training wheels come off. Somebody gets hurt... it's on YOU." Gordon says walking off and answering her phone.

"Everybody head back to HQ and get some rest. Take the underground tunnel entrance. Wind down. And tomorrow be ready for the toughest day of your lives.

"He's gonna kick us off the team... he's gonna kick us off the team..." Animal thought to himself trying not to look too rattled as they began to discuss ways to get back to HQ.

"If it makes it easier I can shift into a giant bird or flying dinosaur and get us most of the way home. It's not like there's more than a couple dozen homeless people in the neighborhood to avoid anyway." Animal suggested.

@Prince of Seraphs Key word there is 'try'. Sometimes real life takes us away from electronics for longer periods than we'd like, and I'm not lucky enough to be able to check in using a smart phone. I've made mention of it a time or two in statuses and in the occasional thread how anytime something comes up with my 7 [soon to be 8] year old son and my dying 70 year old mother... sometimes I gotta put stuff back. I can't tell you how many times I've had to drive to my parents three towns over at 1:30 in the morning the last two weeks.

And this RP just moves slower, I thought that was part of the appeal. Hell it took two days before anybody responded to the opening IC post. I'm currently in a piratepad workin' on closing the scene. Things will run smoother once an actual training day comes around.

Anybody else have any concerns that need addressed? I'll be around for a bit.

@Force and Fury I'd be down with an alien shapeshifter, but not exactly something that doesn't speak or even remotely resemble a superhero unless it shifts into them. Right now we're down in the standard human heroes department though.

I'm looking for more traditional superheroes. A sentient shifting alien sounds like Gloop or Gleep from the Herculoids. Or a Pixar character...
