@Double You could take any Rider and put a new spin on them, we're essentially making our own canon within some pretty basic limits. I just need one to be alien like the American adaption to tie them to the Rangers and the second can be man-made. My spin on Ryan Steele was going to involve a composite being since it never made sense for him to be half red and half blue. Sort of taking bits from the original pitch for the series where a human merged with a cyber-being.

The premise of the game needs tweaking some to accommodate for everyone's varying experiences with the source material, but I think I've got an idea how to still work it together.

- An original group of Power Rangers loosely based on the classic MMPR will get attacked.

- A new original 6th Ranger will return from space and find his/her friends' HQ wrecked, and bring in an old friend from the planet Edenoi [a version of Masked Rider currently stationed on Earth] to fix Alpha 5.

- Upon tapping into the Morphing Grid, one or two of the Power Rangers will be rescued as well as the last VR Trooper.

- Another Masked Rider the governments of the world created to combat the alien from Edenoi also exists, but it is unclear who's side he is on.

- The threat of the RP will be a version of the Machine Empire in league with the main villain of VR Troopers.

Same basic premise of the OP, but I cut out the second PR team in favor of a new 6th Ranger. This is all meant to be in one universe, and nothing is set in stone from the previous iterations. I also made spots for two different Riders since there seemed to be a bit of interest for more than just one, just need one of you to be an alien from Edenoi and the other to be man-made. I'll take the VR Trooper spot, as I've got an idea how to change that up and play off the original American iteration.

As for my earlier point. Dragon Knight IS an American Adaption (of Kamen Rider Ryuki), it just wasn't made by Saban. Hence my comment about it falling outside the "Saban Universe".

But, a suggestion, if I may? It's well established that Power Rangers contains its own multiverse, with the Saban Universe being part of that. So perhaps we can include Dragon Knight as it yet another Universe within the setting (akin to how Dino Charge and RPM are their own dimensions)?

I actually WAS vaguely familiar with Dragon Knight and remember it on tv way back, I'm willing to incorporate or reimagine whatever to get an RP going cause I need something to take my mind off of things.

The baby is right as rain, the wife though got admitted back into the hospital last night. Just got a bit of bad news as well last night with a death in the wife's family. I can't see the wife cause we tested positive for covid last week, somehow I'm allowed to go into work but with life throwing everything at me I'm having to take a leave after only getting to work 2 days this month.

@Omega Man Surprised there's no mention of Ventara or anything else from Kamen Rider Dragon Knight. Though I suppose that would fall outside of the Saban universe so... *shrug*

Ah, what the hell? I've been playing Kamen Rider Memory of Heroez so it'd be nice to scratch that particular itch here. Count me in.

I'm only versed in the American adaptions of the properties so I don't have as much to go by LOL.

And sorry I haven't checked in, I just had a baby girl born last Monday on the 13th!

Seriously, though are oc's allowed using canon powers or just reinterpreted (seeing as kamen/masked rider and vr troopes never got boom! versions) canon characters?

Any of the above works, I mostly just used cannon characters to explain the current situation and tie everything together. I'm still a rookie when it comes to the original versions of these properties and know very little about Kamen Rider and Metal Heroes. I enjoyed the hell out of the expanded Saban universe, dumb characters like Ferbus and the talking dog just ruined it for me LOL.

Beetleborgs was ok, it just kinda killed the VR Troopers. And the knockoff universal monsters were a big turn off. The Knights were arguably the worst live action show to come from the times, even Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad was better!

Really just throwing this one out there because of my love for the Boom! Comics iteration and everything they've done with the Power Rangers. As much as the PR/Masked Rider crossover from the 90's lead into a more craptastic spinoff for the Rider, the VR Troopers only ever got a reference in the more recent comics when it comes to a crossover. I basically want to make a crossover with them all.

Are there enough Kamen Rider and Metal Hero fans on this site to help flesh out a universe with the three concepts crossing over? A couple Rangers, a couple Troopers, and just a single Masked Rider would be enough to get this thing going. So let me know if you're game!

Masters of the Universe - Legends of Grayskull

Fisto and his brother Duncan [aka Man At Arms] pursued the shadow serpents while Teela and Ram Man were just inside of the city walls regrouping with the Royal Guard as well as the newest King Jaguaro of the cat-people. It seemed as if the serpents were moving closer to the downed dragon and the brothers hit the scene just in time to witness a transformation. The dozen or so shadow serpents slithered into the body of darkness that was the dragon and in a matter of moments developed several more heads like a hydra as well as a dramatic increase in size. The enormous shadow creature decimated a guard tower just before crashing through one of the city walls. If He-Man was around the creature would’ve never got this far.

“You got anything in your workshop big enough to take THAT thing, Duncan?” Fisto asked running ahead of the slow and bulky mech that Man At Arms was piloting.

Roughly a hundred yards away Teela, Ram Man, and the king of the cat-people hurried to assist the people of the city get to the palace. Royal Guards, the cat-people, and others worked around wreckage and saved several civilians from getting in the way of the shadow hydra slowly working towards the palace itself. Lord Masque walked behind the creature that was under his control after leaping from it’s back. Fisto was nearing the enemy and punched the ground hard causing a small quake to erupt in the direction of the cloaked Masque.

“Nobody will stop me from taking my revenge on King Randor!” yelled the shadow bender just before making another power play.

Shadows of the heroic warriors slowly peeled themselves up from the ground and surfaces around them. They began to take three dimensional shape and soon there were shadow duplicates of nearly everyone trying to stop Masque. Teela, King Jaguaro, and Ram Man were met with duplicates as well as several of the cat-people and Royal Guards. Fisto looked in awe as a shadow duplicate with a large left hand mirrored him.

“So THIS is the best you’ve got… eh?” Fisto began saying out loud when a man with a lute on his back ran past. The Shadow Fisto cracked the normal one in the face with his giant left hand and sent him flying back into some debris.
