It's incredible how if you give someone just the tiniest bit of power over others they'll turn into the most self-righteous, selfish, impatient fuckers you will ever meet.

How are some writers on this site still incapable of knowing how a comma works?! It's like the second easy piece of punctuation you learn about as a kid!!!

It'll always be confusing to me when some people regard two or three sentences in an IC post as putting in effort with the writing, yet they consider themselves at a casual/advanced level.

Ahh, forgot to mention Damon's leg in ny post! Sorry about that @Black Panther. @Bluesky44 Would it be alright if I edited it in now? It won't affect the update or Pietro's response.
Nina van Essenhout

Location: The Facility

Nina wasn't sure what to think as Wonderland slumped aside, dead. Ayita had killed her. Was that something the girl was used to, or was this a one-off, life-changing act? Nina couldn't know, but regardless of how the girl felt, she was clearly feeling something... something alien. Wonderland had finally taken effect.

Looking around to Damon, she winced as he fell to the ground, shot by Laine. He couldn't get anywhere all that soon, but she'd sooner have him try and move away from the area to avoid Ayita, especially in her current condition. "I can try and keep her settled without hurting her too much, Damon. You and Pietro go and finish the mission, I'll stay with Ayita and see if she remains stable." She said quietly to him, re-sheating her knife. The last thing she wanted was to harm Ayita, but if she became savage, it may be the only option. Regardless of that, the mission had to be dealt with.

Charlie Farrier

Location: The Facility

Despite the speed Oshea was moving at, time seemed to slow down. Charlie could see every movement that the speedster could make, especially around Sabretooth. Grabbing their foe, falling to the ground with Sabretooth's hands around Oshea's neck, and the sickening snapping sound it made as Charlie's newly-made friend hit the deck. At first, Charlie couldn't even process it. Surely, he was alright? It was probably just some weird physics noise that happened when the speed of sound was hit or something. Surely?

But it didn't take long for Charlie to realise that Oshea wasn't getting back up - met with a glassy gaze of eyes that were showing too much white to be healthy, Charlie quickly realised that this, matched with the lack of movement in his friend, meant something far more devastating than just a fellow being stunned.

He was dead.

Staring at Oshea's corpse, unable to tear his shaken gaze away, Charlie began to shake. He'd never seen a dead body before. The fact that it was a friend - even a new friend - made things ten times to worse for the young mutant, one who hadn't seen much conflict beyond that of high-school bullies and their victims, mainly him in his hometown. It made things seem more... real. More personal. And that terrified him. Did he really belong here?

Looking to Cassandra and realising that her expression hadn't changed all that much, Charlie at first felt indignation. Almost immediately after there was understanding. He didn't have to have been there long to realise that this was war. In war, you couldn't mourn for fallen comrades in battle. Afterwards, sure. But not now - not when there were allies to protect and enemies to fell.

Charlie stumbled backwards with Cassandra, tears beginning to spring in his eyes at the loss of his ally. Swallowing the lump in his throat, he nodded stiffly in response to her, and raised both of his hands: One aimed at Sabretooth, and the other aimed at the newcomer that had phased through the walls of the room. Both of them would burn if he had his way.

Agent Alec Fletcher

Location: Ashland, Wisconsin - Lake Superior; then FBI Mobile Office
Interacting With: Ship Owner; then FBI Agents

It was a truly perfect day. Freezing? Yes. Drizzling? True. Dark as hell? Couldn't see a thing more than ten yards away. But there was something so calming about being all by yourself, on a boat in the middle of the night with just a fishing rod, hot water bottle and some beers to keep you company. Yes, Alec Fletcher was a very content man.

At least he was, until his phone rang.

"Well, shit." That was his work phone. Work as in, "emergencies-only-I'm-on-my-goddamn-vacation-you-vultures", work phone. Putting his fishing rod back on it's stand, and praying he wouldn't get a bite while he answered the damn thing, Alec polished off the remainder of his beer before picking it up.

"Fletcher." Unsurprisingly, it was some folks from the FBI. Surprisingly, they were here in Wisconsin, not too far from the docks where he would eventually have to go. "You guys followin' me or somethin'? Didn't even know we had a unit out here."

""Mobile Office" means we can move, Agent Fletcher."

"Yeah, I got that. What's up?" Remaining silent as the agent on the other end told him the news, Alec heaved a heavy sigh before sitting back down, shaking his head. Agent Murphy had been a good guy, from what he'd seen of him. Pretty annoying, but yeah, still good. It was a damn shame to find it he was gone... and even more of a damn shame to find out what was happening next. Sitting stony-faced as the agent continued talking, Alec sighed again before agreeing to cut his vacation short and make his way to the mobile office.

Listening to the dial tone for a few seconds as the agent left the line, Alec eventually hung up himself, glancing at his rod as it began twitching in the stand. Typical. He would catch his last bite of the day right as he was about to leave. Getting to his feet and reeling in his bait, he scowled at the water as he felt the pressure on the other end leave. Looked like Nemo was going to live to see another day. And by the sounds of what lay ahead for him, Alec felt slightly jealous of the fish. Things seemed much more simple on the water.

Despite the drizzle and the dark, Alec didn't take too long in finding dry land and tying his rented boat up. By sheer luck, the owner was still on the shorefront, dealing with another of his boats. Waving at the owner and tossing him the keys, he offered the older man a grateful smile.

"Thanks Jerry - she served me well. There's some fish in the icebox that you can have, won't be able to take it with me."

"But you've got her for the rest of the week! Don't tell me you're leaving?" Jerry asked, catching the keys with a frown. Alec replied with a tired shrug and yet another deep sigh.

"Work beckons me. Don't worry - they owe me one-and-a-half extra weeks vacation now, and I'll damn well be comin' back here in the summer. Keep the boat nice for me!" At that, he waved goodbye and made his way to his car. Thankfully he didn't have all that much to pick up from the hotel he was staying at. It was almost as if he'd predicted he would be called away at some point, and would need to keep most of his shit in his car anyway. He just hoped the FBI had some decent excuse for all this.

"Evenin' fellas. Would one of you mind telling me why I just abandoned a lake full of fish for some work?" Pleasantries were abandoned at the door as soon as Alec arrived at the office; marching straight in and towards the Agent that had notified him of Murphy's probably death. "What the hell's happenin'? I take it somethin' big must be goin' down if you want me to fill in Murphy's boots so quickly?" The guy hadn't given him much information over the phone, which indicated some kind of skittishness. Something had to be putting everyone on edge so much.

Damon's expression showed he wasn't too happy with Nina's suggestion, but thankfully, he had it kept in mind. The group had to be ready for absolutely anything, especially with such a dangerous mutant as Wonderland. Watching as the pool of blood grew larger as she was pinned beneath Wolf-Ayita, Nina bristled up as the woman yelled for help. Cheshire? That couldn't relate to Laine, who himself was pretty tied up with Pietro.

"What's with all the Lewis Carroll names?" She muttered to herself, unsheathing her knife yet again. If there was another one approaching, she and Damon would have to be ready. Particularly if Quicksilver was bitten by what looked to be the fairly venomous snake that was Laine.

Charlie Farrier

Location: The Facility

As Sabretooth suddenly appeared, Charlie yelped in shock, falling from his crouched position onto his rear roughly as he skittered away a few inches. The guy was bigger, scarier, and uglier than what the pictures led you to believe. The small coming off the guy was animalistic, and his eyes didn't even resemble a human's anymore.

Scrambling to his feet and standing beside Cassandra, Charlie raised both of his hands towards Sabretooth, hoping that he could fry him pretty quickly, or at the very least chase him off. Thankfully he wouldn't have to worry about his emotions stopping his fire from manifesting; Sabretooth's arrival had kicked up Charlie's Fight-or-Flight, and he was pumped with adrenaline and ready to react.
Interested! You had me at "haunted"!
@Apoalo

Yes, applications are still open! Feel free to submit a character. :)
@Inkarnate

Accepted! You can pop her in the character tab and post in the IC when you're ready. :)

IC is live! There are currently four compartments for your characters be inside, with four seats to each one. I'll open up more compartments if more people send in CSs, but we're at four for now.

I'm not planning on having the train journey last very long in terms of real life time, so in about two weeks I'll be forcing the story forward onto Hogwarts whether people have posted or not - but please do! This is a great chance to get into your character's shoes, and write a bit more about their interactions with the other characters. :)

So far we have Eva, Honey, and Andreas in Compartment 1. Ali will be in Compartment 2.
Finally finished! @Morose@Nallore

Would he also be able to be introduced in the update (If he's accepted, that is), or am I too late?
