I really suggest the series. It contains plenty of happy, colorful themes but I think the series does well in exploring more complex themes within characters.

But sorry to see you go! To your credit, sound frequency is a good idea for a Quirk that would have a place in this world.
@TheWindel

Judging form a bit of your wording, you may not be familiar with series beyond what research you did for your character? In BnHA, there is a central theme building that an idolized hero society has its problems. Deadlier, villainous Quirks are often looked at a bit negatively. For example a character with a mind control quirk is deemed "evil" in the eyes of characters and suggested they'd make a good villain even though he wants to be a hero. There is actually some oppression to characters in the series based on their quirks, essentially.

So the issue arises from your character actively wanting to pursue a more dangerous application of her quirk. Brain hemorrhages are really scary and by actively pursuing this application of your quirk, there is an implication that your character is okay with killing so long as it stops a villain because a person's survival after a brain hemorrhage would be out of your character's control. Thus, the staff Ishin would actively attempt to dissuade your character from pursuing this application of your quirk.
@Anders

Hi there!

So one thing that Ink and I constantly bring up with your character is the Quirk. Arsenic, as you already know, is very deadly and a deadly poison would not emulate a prospective hero properly. I bring this up because one of the themes that I've managed to find in BnHA is that the Hero idolized society is messed up. It demonizes almost anyone who has a villainous quirk. I was hoping you might include a bit of that characterization seeing as your character is described as a "softie" but there wasn't explicit mention of this theme. But that's okay if you don't! However, I think we can hopefully agree that arsenic is too deadly anyway and picking a chemical agent that isn't so brutal is preferred.
@Anders

Yes. I see your character.

Ink and I are still in deliberations but informally, everyone has looked good so far. With yours in particular there is one tiny thing. Well, two tiny things. Keep in mind, that we have just skimmed characters and this is what we noticed at a first glance.

Aconitum Datura takes the form of a syrupy purple goo that secretes from -
Sumire‘s body. The goo in itself is not dangerous, however the boy’s body is able to vaporize it into a gas and manipulate the purple-blue fumes.

Latin as a Quirk name is kind of funky in the setting.

Aaannd... since I was late on moving my character from the previous iteration to this one, you had no way of knowing this but syrupy purple goo secretions and vaporization are fairly similar to my character's Matter State Quirk. You aren't going to be denied or anything because of this last bit, however, I ask that you maybe remove the goo bit? Maybe secrete the gas alone? You can maintain the hazardous effect of inhalation if you wish, since that seems like something you are going for with this character.
@ShwiggityShwah

You can certainly try if you want!

If you need help with understanding Quirks, check out the Wikipedia page. They aren't exactly just straight superpowers, they have some type of unique spin on them. If you come up with any ideas, I can help you try to shape it into a Quirk!

Personal Dossier

Name
Amuro Namie

Age
15

Origin
Tokyo, Japan

Physical Description
At around 5'6", Namie grew a little too fast for her body to catch up and appears deceptively leaner than she should be. The telltale signs of that is the impressive muscle definition that she manages to get when she flexes. Her natural lighter brown hair has an impressive length reaching her rear end but she usually keeps her air up in a pigtails. Her wardrobe and general presentation of herself is relatively laid back with variations clothes that an athlete would wear: team shirts and jackets, running shorts or tights, and so on. Additionally, a trait that may have come about her Quirk is her eyes are red.

Characterization
Resilient
Temper
Stubborn
Aspiring
Dutiful
Pompous

Personal History
For almost every memory has, Namie can only remember her and her dad constantly in between cities. It was the result of her father's Quirk, an ability to project blueprinted or planned construction, and thus, had the two traveling all over Japan to oversee construction or reconstructing efforts. It was the sort of life that was fairly lonely to an only daughter as the constant transferring of schools meant that she didn't have any time to make any lasting friendships. Beyond that, however, was the fact that Namie's mother had passed away and her lack of presence was certainly something that weighed heavily on the family.

At a young age, Namie lost her mother to circumstances that still haven't been made clear to her. She was in the line of duty as a professional hero and lost her life is all that Namie knows about her mother's death. Otherwise, her father isn't speaking much about the subject, even when pressed. However there is one thing that her father lets slip about the subject, she is a lot like her mother. From the Quirk she inherited to her stubbornness, there is a lot of emulation. Thus, there is a rather large part of Namie's essence that drives her to chase after her mother's legacy and become a hero. She can't settle on just becoming one; she wants to become the best. Ishin Academy was her first choice because even though it was the number two school in all of Japan, it would give Namie a chance to finally settle down in school for awhile. Maybe now, she'll find some peace of mind...

Character Development & Conceptualization
Namie is a person of high ambition but believes she is capable of achieving that ambition. She was given a quite versatile Quirk as part of making her capable in her own way but I plan on making her not creative enough to utilize the full versatility of said Quirk. Thus the aim is that she will have to work alongside others to discover not only creative Quirk applications but also to discover a bit more about herself. She hasn't really learned to work well alongside others. This is due, in part, to her past where her father had to travel around Japan a lot for work, often moving him and her around the country. She never really had time to fit in anywhere and make lasting friendships. Her selection of Ishin is in part due to her internal desire to finally be rooted long enough to make friends but mainly due to wanting to very capable as a hero.

Another character arc that I'd like to explore is the reason why Namie wants to be a hero. Her father works in the civil department, using his Quirk to help with rebuilding and building roads. Her mother passed away early in her life so she never really got to know her and even though her father is quite reserved about talking about her mother, she knows that her mother was a hero. This creates the ambition to use her mother's power to do her memory proud. Along the way, discovery of what actually happened to Namie's mother could reveal a potential antagonist or anything the overall story might profit from.

Abilities & Talents

Quirk Description
In short, [Matter State] uses specialized glands under the skin turn viscous fiber into a maple syrup-like liquid that can be secreted from the body. The user of this Quirk can mentally alter the state of matter this substance is in by altering the temperature, making it warmer to turn into a gas and colder to turn into a solid. The boiling and freezing points are relatively low in energy requirements as in, in order for the for the user to turn the liquid into a gas, one just has to think about the liquid getting warmer until it reaches around 100 *F and for the solid around 20*F. The user can alter the temperature at their best so long as the substance is touching them and may struggle with temperature altering when the substance is away from their body. It isn't impossible to manipulate the state of matter of the substance away from the person but requires great concentration to achieve the almost telepathic thought with severely ramping difficult with distant from the substance (a feat Namie struggles with presently). The substance in all forms is noted to be quite dense, sinking to the bottom of a glass of water in both solid and liquid states. The user of this Quirk must maintain a high fiber diet and overuse of their Quirk will result in extreme dietary fiber loss. Low fiber in the body means that they will have horrid bowel activities and can even risk some more severe consequences of too much Quirk use.

Other Talents & Attributes
Namie has maintained a very healthy amount of athletic activities such as team sports, swimming, and weight training. Although not the biggest, strongest, or most standout Quirk, she still did very well in the psychical tests. Most of her experience with fighting comes from petty sport squabbles, usually due to a bit of stubbornness or self-importance on her part as losing wasn't ever her intent. Outside of a few school yard brawls, she hasn't had any opportunity for proper training, leaving her rough around the edges. In addition, she is motivated well enough to maintain a strong performances in the academic field as well.
What? Crazy!
Soon. Like 12 or 16 hours at the most.
♕ Reina ♕

How could one ever really prepare for a moment like this? Even with the advanced warning and the time to prepare herself, the princess of Grado, Reina, found she was dreadfully ill-prepared. Drilled heavily these last few days, she was the first one ready, finding herself almost an expert at equipping her own custom armor. It was made light to play into her strengths which Garric had been instrumental at identifying. Garric. That aggravating mercenary had done a fine job of pushing Reina past tears almost every day while she trained with him and up to this point, there was no love for such a harsh man in Reina's eyes. However now, with things as they were, Reina couldn't help but want one more day of training, one more beating by a blunt sword if that meant this invasion could be delayed because...

Reina's attention drifted from the swordmaster and focused on her father, Rioga, now addressing those present. Reina felt herself swallow hard as she hung on his every word as if it would be the last she'd ever hear from him because that's exactly what Reina worried about. It wasn't the physical preparations that were troublesome but the emotional toll. Someone once told her that any man can die in battle and leading up to this moment, that's all she could think about. Her father dying just like that. She could try to convince herself, try and let herself be swayed by her father's outward certainty in victory but alas, she'd always think of the worst.

When her father offered the Sacred Stone in an outstretched hand, Reina stepped forward and claimed it silently. Obvious trepidation expressed in her face as she took the stone from his hand as she looked up to meet his gaze. She stood there for a moment longer wishing she could just break down into her father's arm and for that moment, it may have looked like she was going to do just that as her eyes began to water. However, she steeled herself long enough for the moment to pass, quietly stepping back down to join what would be her allies for the foresee able future.

For the remainder of her father's instructions, she tried desperately to focus on the information but could only think about her father in that time. Yet, she couldn't even look him in the eyes as her focus was drawn to staring at the blue gem in her hand. So much trouble over something so small. Was it worth this much to start a war over? To lose your life for? Based off of what, folktales? It wasn't fair that this burden should be hers to carry something so dangerous and to risk losing her father over this.

It wasn't until Reina was addressed directly that her father managed to capture her attention fully. She was expecting to hear something but found herself disappointed as she felt her heart drop. However, she wasn't intending on disappointing her father, not now anyway, and tucked the stone into a safe place on her person.

Her attention drifted elsewhere as her body went through the motions. She caught the other stone, the Tactician's Stone and rolled it around in her hand. Surprisingly, she managed to bring herself out of her slump long enough to understand the gist of this magic but upon trying to use this magic for a tactical overview, she felt sick when she saw the amount of red figures in the castle. She closed her eyes and turned away as if trying to hide from the horrific vision but the sounds of battle were now audible even here in the throne room. There was no escaping this reality now.

With things progressing rapidly now, it felt like mere moments until Reina heard her father ushering them onward to escape. We'll be fine... Go! With that statement uttered, it had finally sunk in that Reina might be seeing her father for the last time. She couldn't even say something up to this point. She was frustrated with herself almost as much as she was frustrated with him. He can't promise that. He doesn't know what will happen. Finally, the stubborn form of the princess came to bear. Eyes watering again as she turned to face her father, yelling in outright refusal.

"Dammit father! All you can say to me is "go"? What if something happens? You don't know what will happen and this might be the last time we..." She stopped herself, unable to proceed past the very word that put an image of her and her father together. If this was truly the last time, then the last thing Reina wanted was that image of "we" to be one of her yelling at her father. "Okay.." She muttered meekly, "I'll keep the Stone safe until I can give it back to you." She quickly ran up to him thereafter and wrapped her arms around her armored father. Unfortunately Reina was quite dwarfed by her father in his armor while standing so in an attempt to be more affectionate than hugging a giant armor suit, she stepped back reaching for his hand giving it a squeeze in between both her hands before turning and following Aldo towards the escape route.

She didn't need to say it, just like her father didn't need to say it. However, this last gesture was to be their "farewell" and "I love you" and that would hopefully be the image Reina would think of if anything did happen.
❄Erika Olson❄

It may have been the relative ease of the earlier battles but this one was proving to be quite the task. Lombre had put up quite the fight but eventually Gibs had triumphed but the next battle wasn't boding too well. Sno had done some initial damage but had unfortunately fallen asleep. There wasn't an easy way out of this, she wanted to save Chic for the final opponent but switching out here would put her at even more of a disadvantage due to the early damage. However, there wasn't any getting around it, right now. Now Erika wasn't aware that the Chesto berry cured sleeping but it likely wouldn't matter because the usage of one would still give Vivillion a chance to attack and judging from Sno's condition, she won't last another hit.

So Erika would gamble and hope Sno can wake up and manage to get off Icy Shard to hopefully knock that Vivillion done. If that should fail, Chic was next and she'd use Ember (and should it succeed, Erika would withdraw Sno for now). If (potentially when) Ember backfires, scratch would be used to try and faint Vivillion. If Chic faints, Gibs would be up and attempt to use Dragon Rage. Following that, Erika's last and hopefully best attempt at knocking out Whimscott would be to have Chic (if still around) and Gibs to use Sand-Attack until Whimscott's accuracy is the lowest it can go. Then attempt Ember/Dragon Rage to finish off her opponent. Sno would be the last resort (assuming she survived and woke up), using Double Team until evasiveness was at its max and then Icy Shard.

When the battle is all said and done, Erika would text Claire the following: 'Oh no, I haven't left you! I just got done at the Treetop Battles and will be over there in minute!'
