Physical DescriptionSeo's a mostly average looking for a boy his age, standing at around 5'5 and tending towards pretty average clothes for the most part. Stuff like grey jeans, button-up shirts, light mono-color jackets, and so on. He does have some form of vanity though, often tying up his hair in a messy rat-tail style whenever he goes out. His eyes are a warm golden haze in coloration and tend to light up anytime he uses his quirk, though when he gets tired, they tend to fade into a strange dull grey as if to symbolize his lack of energy. The only other notable thing to mention about him, however, is the rather nasty looking scar that covers the base of his throat and is extended down the whole of his chest by a set of surgical scars. While this injury is mostly healed and doesn't keep him from doing strenuous activity, he has long since lost his ability to speak because of the damage to his vocal cords.
Aside from that, he's often seen wearing a few patches attached to his belt that hold a number of metal balls of varying sizes, as well as his trusty Aluminum bat, -kun.
CharacterizationMost people wouldn't think that Seo had been through a traumatic event just by talking to him. He jokes around, goes out to hang with people, plays pranks, and in general doesn't seem to take much of anything seriously. However, those who he used to be close to him know that things aren't quite the same as before. He's more distant than before, never really calling anyone by a nickname that isn't itself some kind of joke, despite being the type to think of pet names to the point of annoyance. When he goes out with others he often doesn't interact beyond the occasional word, seeming to be there more to keep up with what's expected rather than any desire to actually be there.
Not only that but there are times where he can take his jokes a bit further than is in good taste. It's not a purposeful thing, often only happening when he gets overwhelmed by a situation or when he finds himself feeling irritated with the person in question. He often feels guilty about the words as soon as they leave his mouth, but rarely tries to make amends or take them back. This isn't because he's too prideful to admit wrong-doing,but because he doesn't see much point in trying to cover up for his behavior. The action has been done, the words can't be taken back and any attempt to soften the blow of them likely rings hollow. So he lives with the fallout and tries to act like he either doesn't care about what he said or that he didn't realize that he'd don't in the first place.
Personal HistorySeo was just a regular kid. He had a crush, he watched movies, idolized heroes, and dreaded school. He often told himself this as he traveled to his father's place of residence in one of his many stints of running away from home. He told himself this every time his dad had to drive him home, lecturing him about how he shouldn't make trouble for his mother's new family. . . but never before stopping for some ramen or takoyaki from a local stand.
Seo knew that his dad had been involved in something dangerous a while back, his mother had often told him such whenever he came back along with all the other troubles his leaving had caused for her and her new husband and their new daughter. But he'd always thought that the hero who hung around his dad's house would protect him. That's why he was there, after all. As such, it was a chilling experience when he came to his father's home only to find that no hero was nearby and the door had been broken down. What happened afterward was a blur of action, fear, and desperation. Seo recalls running inside, he recalls calling for help and even recalls a vague shape of a person standing over a still figure on the ground. A thick metallic scent hanging over it all, followed by an immense pain in his chest.
When he woke up in the hospital, the world felt. . . so much greyer. People apologized, though no one he knew and no one who was too sorry to not talk about his father when they thought he couldn't hear. Another thing that Seo remembers was how he had only seen his mother once or twice during his stay in the hospital, with hardly a word to say. But for Seo, the only thing that made him angry was whenever the hero came by. They tried to excuse themselves, to apologize, to ask forgiveness from a 13-year-old boy that might as well have been an orphan now. Instead, Seo just stayed quiet. Some doctors told him he couldn't talk, some others told him he wouldn't talk because of what he saw. But the only thing Seo cared about was returning to a normal if different life. His father was never one to grieve, so why should he?
The only thing he wanted to do right now was to prove that he was better than the hero who'd failed his dad. That's what he told himself every time he woke up to from a dream of that night, every time he felt a hard ball of emotion settle in the base of his gut. He didn't waste time before he started to study up on all of the hero schools and requirements. There was no time to rest, no time to process, no time to really feel as if he'd lost someone. As long as he kept working, kept pushing himself to be better than he was before. . . then his dad was right by his side, cheering him on like he always did.
At least. . . that's what he told himself.
Character Development & ConceptualizationSeo s basically a big ball of issues pushed into a mostly chipper package. He does truly want to be a hero to help others, but deep down, he also just. . . feels a lot of anger and frustration with no clear target to point at so he makes a boogeyman of the villain that killed his father and stole his voice. It's a strange grey area where he wants to be a hero for both the right and wrong reasons.
As a result of this, I think he'll be fun to play with because his nature is innately somewhat two-faced and unknowingly antagonistic at times. He wants to help people and definitely feels that it's an important aspect of a hero to be like that, but at the same time, losing one of the few people he genuinely fosters a connection with after dealing such a cold home environment makes him naturally defensive to anyone trying to connect with him further. He can put on a face of friendship and lip service, but if people try to pull back the curtain, he tends to get a bit aggressive in his jokes and pranks, lashing out to keep people away so he doesn't have to risk losing someone again.

Named by Seo after a few haunted house pranks, it's a quirk that is simple in execution but deceptively versatile in the ways it can be used. In its most basic form, this quirk allows him to place special markings on anything he touches with his palm or the back of his hand, imbuing them with a positive or negative charge. After the mark has been placed, he can activate it with a thought, connecting it to another active mark and causing an interaction between them based on whether the charges are the same of different. If the charges are different then the marked objects will pull towards each other, but if the charges are the same, then they'll push away from each other instead.
On top of that base premise, however, Seo has figured out how to do a few neat things with his ability due to experimenting with his quirk. Firstly, he can build up a stronger charge inside his body before placing a mark or activating one of the marks on his hands, causing it to emit a stronger magnet effect on whatever mark it's connected to. So instead of two objects interacting equally on each other, the stronger force overwhelms the opposing force first, and then the rest of the force is transferred over, meaning that he often needs to double the amount of energy if he wants to completely negate any blowback from his quirk, something that can obviously be very draining.
His other trick is that if he's wielding a metal object, he can use it as an extension of his body by pushing a constant charge through it. The charge allows him to place marks on others by making contact with the metal object, and the charge remains for about 30 seconds after leaving his hands, enabling him to throw these objects at others in order to mark them, thou the mark placed is usually weaker than his normal mark.
Other Talents & AttributesAtheletic: A baseball enthusiast like his father, Seo still tries to work in some practice here and there, not wanting to let his new desire to be a hero completely degrade his skill in his favorite hobby. He's a better pitcher than he is a batter, able to throw fastballs of up to 90mph with decent consistency.
Street Artist: Having spent more time traveling across Japan rather than staying at home, Seo used to have a few . . . questionable friends before the incident. While there life choices weren't something he agreed with, he enjoyed his time with them and still practice some of what they taught him, though he always tries to choose places to do it where it won't be quite as disruptive to the public. Abandon buildings and warehouses that are far from the public eye. He's. . . not great, but he's getting better. He doesn't practice on a large scale that much anymore, but it still takes some time to just chill out to an album after an intense workout or a real bad nightmare.
Foreign Music Enthusiast: Another aspect that he picked up from his street friends is an appreciation for foreign music, mostly hip-hop and the like. He doesn't really understand most of what he hears, but he looks up translations and relates to a good chunk of what a lot of the singers talk about. He finds the beats to be pleasant and likes to listen to it whenever he's exercising, painting, or whenever he needs to relax and just not think about anything for a while.
Self-sufficient: Seo's friends often joke that he'd make for a good housewife given that he's pretty good at doing housework for a boy his age. He often has to cook for himself, though he often sticks to small low-cost meals that are quick and don't take many ingrediants to work with due to having low funds and being on the move more often than not. He's pretty good with reading a map, often memorizes train schedules by heart, and often has a pack full of camping supplies in his room in case he ever needs to be alone for a few days.
