Alkyrieaze von Einzbern

Catching up late, but not so late as to rush through the doors--not that she would have stopped for someone, just shown them some puppy-dog eyes and kept going--was the Einzbern. Dressed today in a pastel hooded jacket and shorts, she very much didn't look like the elegant lady of her forebears. The old man didn't deserve that sort of obedience and wasn't here to correct her.

With Altera and the administrator here, the prevalence of white hair and red eyes was getting quite alarming.

"Really, that I don't have access is a tragedy of itself," she grumbled, looking at the sharp teeth and wondering what was going on here, "Makiri is dead and the Tohsaka aren't here. At least one of us has detailed experience with these things. And that's the problem... something is interfering with the Command Seals."
Illyasviel von Einzbern

The pride of the Einzbern--the greatest work ever constructed by their hands, ignoring the entire fluke that had lead to the grail system in the first place--double checked her security before the other Masters came in. Such a thing should always be unnecessary given her small frame and magical ability, even without the strongest Servant... but as recent events had shown, her father was all to right to be paranoid. It might not be anywhere near the Magus Killer's armament but anybody that underestimated her alchemy was in for a nasty shock...

Though these Masters could probably be trusted to not be traitors. Probably. The Tohsaka and Edelfelt were reliable allies for the Holy Grail War and unlikely to throw themselves out of contention immediately. The other one... he didn't seem particularly threatening.

Illya waited by the entrance, with Saber just behind as a bodyguard--and wasn't it good that they had found a suit of the appropriate size? A Servant that couldn't discorporate was something quite strange altogether and finding clothes on short notice...

The lady of the manor had to greet her guests, even if they had already been staying for some time.
Yeah I'm not going anywhere, I was here for the entirety of the first version of this too.
Efander

"Now, now, don't be so hasty to let yourself take the blow, I'm sure we can break or disarm any traps. It would be a nice workout after so much inactivity before we teach the bandits a thing or two," the sage said, quite chipper about the whole affair. Dealing with bandit troubles had been one of his recurring jobs in his long life of exploration, so it was nice to get into the swing of things with something simple like that and check that the other changes hadn't done bad things to her martial skills. "Sylphie, dear, do you think we could give them a chance to surrender first?"

They never did, but it would be wrong not to. There was always the chance that someone within the group was being pressured into it, and what sort of heroes would they be if they went around beating up people that didn't want to fight?
That's a shame.

In other news: if you can't think of a reason to talk to someone else, talk to yourself.
Tyaethe Radistirin

Tyaethe, as ever, looked fairly disgruntled on the way back into the capital. Oh, partly this was due to her own lack of fanciness; a pony and light clothes looked far less impressive than a horse and shining armour. The main reason was, of course, the sun. Angling a parasol to block the dawn light wasn't the most trivial of tasks when threading a horse through streets and a de facto parade. The stares from people that didn't know better and had to ask, just to confirm a centuries old piece of trivia, didn't make it any more comfortable.

All in all, the white-haired paladin was happy to be in Candaeln, making a beeline from the front entrance to the sword not far beyond. Such a delicate, beautiful sword... nothing like hers, but one every bit as familiar. Not that it had done anything except sit here in living memory, gathering dust in the metaphorical if not literal sense. It wasn't like there were many people who had a key to open and dust it, but magic was useful like that.

"Well, the new captain's made a good enough start, even if it was just some thug with a sword..." she said, using the sword as a stand-in for its wielder whilst giving her report, "Probably an 8 or 9 by the adventurers rankings? Strong for the order with standards as they are, but the only death was a sneak attack. But if they don't get better soon, they'd better hope nobody like us shows up on the other side of a battlefield, Elly."

Though, talking to herself or not, Tyaethe was still within earshot of the door and the courier Jarde was speaking with.

@PaulHaynek@VitaVitaAR
I guess they're accepted? Now I just need to sort out the character list.
Elferia Bay

"Ah, Papa, do you think we're under-equipped...?" Elferia asked, having made the journey in awkward silence whilst looking askance at the alchemist who had rented a diving suit for just this purpose. Atlas... always overthinking everything, always considering too many possibilities. 'But what if there's a chance of flooding', 'what if there's a pool of water', 'what about if the entrance is blocked off by high tide and we need to escape in a hurry'. All this overthinking and preparation for watery problems, but a diving suit itself might cause difficulties if unforeseen temperatures or hazards came up.

It was better than looking at the other Servant though, the embodiment of everything wrong with mystery fiction. Clues and answers not given, logical induction described as deduction but just gathering together a raft of hints that could have easily been wrong... one had to wonder how much Watson was massaging the truth.
Tachibana Hibiki

If it was any consolation for Zeke and Magilou, the source of the devastation scarcely seemed any more pleased about it herself, looking down at the mess and the blood dripping off her knuckles with something between confusion and horror. Despite the force of the impact, it obviously seemed to be something that wasn't within Hibiki's normal experiences. At least that was reassuring--the girl with the explosive punches did not regularly go around punching people so hard there was nothing left.

Or at least not things that left this mess.

"I don't have any boots..." she answered, following Magilou's indication and looking down towards the alleyway. That was right, they were here to rescue a girl, weren't they? If that was the right direction, then with all these monsters around...!

Not caring what was in the fog, Hibiki ran off down the alleyway once again.
