Bio

I'm Randomness. I also go by others names when it's unavailable, but those are usually some variation of Randomness or Random in general.

I like anime, video games, and science. I'm currently in school studying to become an radiologic technologist. I'm in the initial stages, so I'm on my way. My favorite anime is Eureka Seven, and my favorite video game is a tie between Kingdom Hearts and Etrian Odyssey.

I have several story ideas, but currently lack motivation to write them out. I have plenty of notes for some of them so when I finally get around I'm prepared. That said, I absolutely enjoy group story telling like you do through role playing. One of my interests involved is world building and the connections between them if any.

One of my characters travels between worlds, dimensions and universes. What these are meant to be are different RPs. There seems to be some taboo around such a character, but I feel that is should be judged on a case by case basis. The idea of a seasoned character who has been on many adventures being able to share stories in passing sounds like a fun idea. I thought it would be an interesting idea that those stories could be from other RPs. He isn't meant to highjack the current RP, or be over powered. I admit, I can see that concern. Really though, he is meant to be an eccentric character with stories and treasures not before seen. The effects of these stories are meant to be entertaining, like fairy tales to the current cast. And what treasures he has or can use I'd restrict to what makes sense in the current world. But like I said before, it should be case by case. A learner, and a story teller. I think it's fun to link concept together through this character so the story could live on in new ways and perhaps give new RPs a different kind of character. Without upending everything of course.

I am mildly interested. Though out of curiosity for compatibility I have a dimension hopping character where the some of the dimensions are, excuse me, were preexisting RPs that no longer exist. Since there is some controversy involved with a character of that kind of history, I want to check with you about it if that would be an issue. If I were to submit a character whose story is to that he traveled from one Rp to the next explained via dimensional world hopping, would that be allowed?

Essentially the character in one shape or form has done part of your RPs premise where the other worlds were other RPs. He’s a history seeker and story teller mainly.

Otherwise, I’ll just leave it at ‘mildly interested’ and might join with an original character once it’s live.
@Zoey Boey I understand. I’m going to use this as a learning experience. I’m probably going to try again at a later date with a similar format. But next time I’ll make is more clear the RP is teamwork and combat heavy with little bits of story thrown in at times. Thanks for participating.
A sudden sharp sound echoed throughout the room before it suddenly lost life and continued on as a whimper before finally dying completely. The sound was distorted, only a pitiful excuse of what it usually was. Nevertheless, it was enough to stir the little girl from sleep. Slowly opening her eyes, the girl sat up in her bed, the covers sliding off her body. She yawned and rubbed her eyes before looking around her room.

Her room?

It was a room. And it was a room she occupied. But nothing in it resembled anything she would call hers. In fact, she could not recall what would normally be hers in the first place. Now more awake, the little girl called out. Much like the alarm, her call was barely audible outside the room. Moving to sit at the edge of the bed, the girl looked about the room again. There were few child furnishings, but otherwise the room was bare and dull. Several cameras near the corners of the ceiling faced towards the ground, seemingly without power. At the far side of the room stood an open door, facing an equally blank white wall of the corridor beyond. Not much light illuminated the wall, leaving most of what laid beyond too dark to see.

Sliding off the bed, the girl cringed as her bare feet touched the cold concrete floor. Next to the bed were a pair of basic grey shoes without laces. She grabbed them to put on. She stopped initially when she saw the bands around her wrists. Sitting back on the bed, the girl looked at them, and tried to take them off unsuccessfully. She now took notice of the rest of her attire. She was dressed in a simple one-piece dress, grey matching the dull atmosphere of rest of the room. She placed her hands upon the collar around her neck, just as irremovable as the bracelets.

Not even recognizing her own clothes anymore, the girl was growing increasingly fearful about where she was or what was going on. She wanted to find a safe place to hide until she could find someone who could help her. Jumping off the bed again, she put on the shoes and creeped to the entrance of the door. It was open, so she could perhaps flee from the captors that held her. She looked out the entrance, seeing the hall was clear in one direction. Before she turned to look the other way, she heard someone call out. The voice was aggressive and it startled the little girl. She yelped and not so quietly ran back into the room diving into the bed and covered herself up. The little girl didn’t see who call out, flickering lights and the darkness that it brought helping with that. Perhaps the figure who yelled would pass by and not harm the girl.

Amberelle knew deep down that the likelihood that Kay would have any Insight on their location would be near impossible at best, but hearing her confirm still gave a feeling of disappointment. Amberelle looked straight ahead towards the center of the lake, only look back up when the water next to her started to be disturbed. She looked over to see that De’Kae was standing up, looking much better and more recovered.

Amberelle watched as De’Kae walked over to one of the trees. Amberelle remained sitting in the water, turning her head and body to keep eyes on her as she moved. The trees didn’t look like a traditional tree, but that was the best way to describe them concisely. Each root looked like a tangle of bark covered vines that bore into the rock within the shallow waters of the shore. These roots wound around each other tightly as they culminated together to form the trunk just barely over the top of the water. Very crookedly, the tree winded upward before splitting again into bushels of thick medium sized oval leaves, smooth to the touch as though covered in wax. Hanging from these bushels were the pink pear-shaped fruits. The trees were about seven or eight feet tall at most, with the fruit hanging down at eye level.

When De’kae held one of the fruits within her hand, she could feel the soft flesh, with a similar waxy texture as the leaves. Being that close, the sweet smell easily permeated De’Kae’s nostrils barely covering the other smells that filled the chamber. The life-weld pulse shook the tree slightly as energy traversed the length of the fruit to the branches, trunk, and then roots hidden below the rocky surface. Like the trees from her home, this plant became attuned to her and willingly gave her its history. The fruit that the tree bore was harmless, thought the pit held a variety of minor poisonous chemicals, the flesh was safe. The tree had lived in this lake for an unfathomable amount of time, comparable to that of the Mother Tree if not longer. Yet even with that age, the fruits were recently grown.

While the being that planted the trees remained hidden from De’kae, she learned that the tree was not native to the chamber, and neither was the lake where it gained its nutrients. The roots of the tree reached deeply, and most of them interlocked with the roots of the other trees and surrounded the lack below the rocky surface along the shoreline.

Still sitting in the water, but now turning her torso to better face, De'kae, Amberelle called out. "were you able to learn anything?"

I drafted this last night, but it looks like someone else had similar background ideas.
I see a lot of names up there, is the Rp exclusive to them?
“Life-Weld? That’s an awesome name. I can’t believe that something like it even exists.” Said Amberelle in a near shout, obviously excited. She seemed oblivious to De’kae’s attitude as she continued. “No no no no no no no no no no. No. I understand. That was a pretty frightening sight, the arachno sapian, or whatever you might call it. I have to tell you that when you went down, I thought that was the end. So, please rest, not like I have any authority in the matter.” When De’kae held up her hand, Amberelle grasped onto it dearly with both hands and initially shook it vigorously, then stopped herself, let go with one hand and finished with a much softer shake. “Heh heh, sorry.”

Amberelle plopped down into the water next to De’kae, bringing her knees up to her chest. “Say, I know it’s not likely, but do you have any clue where we are?” she asked softly, completely different from her unrealistic overly excited demeanor prior. “I have a feeling that the door there is not an exit. It’s too grandiose for it to be in my opinion. But since you can use your life-weld, I thought that perhaps you might be able to conjure up something that might help figure what’s going on.”

It was a strange place. The consensus seemed to be that no one knew how they had come to be here. Other parties discussed what they were doing before they ended up waking in the room with that monstrosity. Not a single person even remembers going to sleep, only waking up in the huge chamber that was once above them. Outside of the carving that were along the walls, there weren’t much of a clue. More and more attention was brought to the door, and a small gathering of champions went to investigate it, but so far none had attempted to open it. Perhaps they could listen to see if any sounds could be heard through it, or see if any of the seams had a gap they could peek through. Be it looking at the door, the mechanical suit of armor, each other and their differences, or the lake, no one seemed to be any closer to figuring out what exactly was happening.
You guys don't have to wait for me to reply to each other. I'll do what I can to help move things along.

It looks like until Loganthecat comes back it might just be three of us for a bit. SO to help make up, I threw in a new character the champions can interact with, and another ally they could rely on, theoretically. I hope that you'll stay on until the end.
“Come back here.” A shorter girl whispered to herself as she was wading through the lake. Several vials were floating in the water as the girl retrieved them one by one. These vials were her livelihood and she would be damned if she would lose them in a place where it would not be easy to acquire more. Upon reaching her the last one, she swam back to the shore, plopping down upon a fallen boulder to reorganize them into the various pockets, belts, and holsters that covered her person. She was not prepared to be dunked down several meters into the water, or else she would have made sure her wares were more tightly bundled. This girl was dressed in a wool shirt, a soft leather jacket covered in pockets, and thick woven pants also covered in pockets. She also had several belts, at least two around her waist, one coming around from shoulder around her torso, and a few strapped around her legs. These belts had pouches, pockets, and holsters. Her clothes clung to her body since they were still soaking wet. Her long amber hair was coarse, and tied into a braid, but several loose strands stuck to her face, getting into her green eyes. She moved them away as she tried to relax from swimming.

Sighing, she took a look around the new place they had all been dumped. The lake looked to have been carved out with a giant spoon, the far wall collapsing into it. She leaned back and looked over her shoulder towards the polished wall and large door. That was likely her only way out. Kicking at the water, the girl turned attention to the elf dressed in green who exclaimed something in a foreign language. She recognized her because not only did she look like an elf, a species that was only speculated in legend from her world, but that she was able to control magic, another foreign concept only speculated from her world. Excitedly, she hopped from the rock and ran towards her. She tripped over some debris along the way, but she quickly recovered before she fell into the water.

“Hey, you!” she shouted, still sprinting towards the elf, a few more seconds, she was standing over her. “Hey. How did you do that? That Magic thing I mean, with the walls, and the blasts. You know the ones. The ones like pew pew. Are your ears real? I mean of course they are, but…” she caught herself.

“I mean, my name is Amberelle, what is yours? Wait, do you know what I am saying?” Amberelle took a small step back to give De’kae some room. In all the adrenaline from the battle, frantic retrieval of her vials, and spotting that elf-like persons do exist, she forgot the think about the potential language barrier. She could have sworn that she heard De’kae speak before, but was unsure for certain since the words she spoke just before were ones Amberelle never heard before. In fact, Amberelle was definitely not certain because during the entirety of the fight with the spider, Amberelle hid. Or rather, she looked for a way to escape, hiding behind other warriors, and avoiding the fight all together. Since the others were able to eventually dispatch the beast, she figured that she would be safe not having to participate herself. Now that the fighting was over, she felt it was safe to meander and explore.

As for the other warriors, some recovered and were communicating among themselves, trying to figure out what had happened and where they were. Another exclaimed that the hanging fruits from the trees were delicious. So far, none of them had approached the door, but many of them knew that it was likely their only way out. Despite what any one person was doing, they were each curious to some degree about the others trapped with them. Such drastic changes in appearance and statue unlike what many might have seen, it brought more questions about what exactly was going on.
