Current No matter how subtle the wizard, a knife between the shoulder blades will seriously cramp his style.

Arguing over petty details at times of dimensional emergency was a familiar wizardly trait.

A wizard never had friends, at least not friends who were wizards. It needed a different word. Ah yes, that was it. Enemies. But a very different class of enemies. Gentlemen.

@rocketrobie2: Accepted. You do not have to write out your novice skills as all skills apart from your higher level ones are novice. Also, is it important to you to have the ring of Namira or could you consider being a cannibal anyway without it?
OP has now been updated with links to each CS for easy referance.
Excellent, accepted! :)

And with that, we're closing the applications. Those who have already stated their interest may finish their character, but no new players will be accepted.
@Blackwolf: Accepted, with one alteration: Jorn has not slain any dragons. None of us have. Forget the dragons of the Game; the dragons in this story won't land in front of you so you can hit them. They'll fly by and toast your ass dead. Killing dragons is the work of big companies of warriors (or the dragonborn - now dead). Our heroes are going to the Greybeards to acquire the weapon necessary to fight them on equal terms; the Thu'um. No mortal can face them alone without it and live.
Great post! Can't wait to get the story going! I've got so much good stuff in store for you guys... ;)

The throat of the world, said to be the highest mountain in all of Tamriel, was a fantastic and terrifying sight; fantastic in the sense that it could be so high and not pierce the heavens above, and terrifying in the fact that you would have to climb it to reach the temple at its summit. High Hrothgar, the home of the Greybeards, was as renowned as it was unknown. There wasn’t a soul in all of Skyrim that didn’t know of it, but few had ever actually seen it for themselves. It was hard to imagine, impossible almost, how they had built the temple in the first place. Had the Nords carried each stone up the mountainside, or had they cut it from the very rock of the mountain itself? Yet there it stood in all of its majestic mystery as it had been standing since before anyone could remember.

The party of adventurers that had only recently left Ivarstead now stood in the shadow of the mountain, looking up at the behemoth before them, contemplating the quest they had set out to complete. It was not going to be easy; in truth only this, the first obstacle on their path, seemed like an adventure in itself. Who knew what dangers lay in wait for them up there in the storms and the snow? What hardships, what sorrows, and what trials would they have to go through to reach their goal? Only the gods knew, but they weren’t telling. They were a motley band of individuals, these adventurers. Hailing from all across Tamriel, they all had different reasons for being there, but were united in one single purpose: to stop the dragons, once and for all. The Greybeards waited at the top of the mountain, keepers of the one secret that could help the adventurers in their strife: the secret of the Voice, the Thu’um.

Ulemi stood amidst her fellow would-be dragon slayers and took in the scene before her. She could feel it now, more than ever: the calling of her blood, of her destiny. This was right. This was where she was meant to go, what she was meant to do. Up there, in the dark halls of High Hrothgar her fate awaited her. She would once again bring pride and greatness to her people. She would lead these brave few to victory against all odds and cast down the evil of the dragons from the sky. All would know of her accomplishment, and songs would be sung about her in the once and future homeland of Morrowind for generations to come. All she had to do to fulfill the unwritten prophecy was to climb this mountain and convince the monks at its peak to teach her to use the Voice. The rest would be history.

She took a few steps forward and turned to face the rest of the group. When she was sure she had their attention, she spoke.

“I hope you are all ready for this. There is no point in standing around waiting any longer. We go now to meet the Greybeards. Once we reach their home on the top there is no turning back. May the gods, old and new, watch over us.”

She let the words sink in for a bit before turning her back on the band.

“Let’s go.”

With that she began the climb.
@Saarebas: Accepted! (The orcish axes as well :D)

I don't want to wait any longer, so I'll post the IC in a minute. I expect the climb to High Hrothgar will take at least a posts, so anyone that hasn't finished its CS will have time to do so before the important bit begins ;)
I'm going to drop out of this game. I've started my own and want to give it the attention it deserves. You may do with Sniggit, the Grey Guild and the temple of Avion as you wish.

I look forward to playing with you lot again sometime!
@Ostarion: Looking forward to reading your CS!

@Gilgex: Ok. See you in another game!

@Saarebas: You're quite welcome!

@Rune_Alchemist: Accepted!

This is turning into quite a posse of adventurers! I like it :D

To you folks who are writing your CSs: get them done as soon as you can, and we'll start gaming tomorrow or the day after.

Changed it

Yes, but not enough. Read the original post.

You begin with one expert skill, two adept skills and three apprentice skills. The rest are novice. If you want to buy another expert skill (as an example) you have to sell two adept skills. You would then have two expert skills and three apprentice skills. If you then wanted a master skill, you would have to sell both your expert skills. Then you'd have one master skill and three apprentice skills.

You can't have a master skill, an expert skill and a few adept and apprentice skills besides that. It doesn't add up. Do you understand?

Do keep in mind Railen has been a thief since he was eight. So he's had plenty of time to master those skills.

That doesn't matter.
Mr_pink said Also, isn't wearing heavy armour while levelling up sneak kind of counter-productive? Considering it makes more noise and weighs more.

I guess it would be kinda counter-productive, but still doable. Remember that the skills and the world in general isn't tied to the mechanics of the game. We won't be entering "stealth mode" when we want to sneak - we'll roleplay it.

rocketrobie2 said Sorry about not havering my CS up yet I haven't had a lot of free time. I'll try to get it up tonight also I'm having a werewolf guy.

No problem, we haven't gotten off the ground yet anyway ;) Looking forward to reading your CS!
