Goodness. No inspiration or activity for me on here for months (even years!) and now all at once, I have ideas for multiple RPs!

Started a new RP, and I'm excited for it, for the first time in a while. I hope it's a success!

Man, I can't wait to roleplay as Teak Root Furniture. Sounds wild.

As Eddie Izzard once said, "Americans say 'Urbs' English people say 'Herbs', because there's a f*cking 'H' in it"

Bio

I've been roleplaying in one form or another since the late '90's. I've played as many tabletop games as I have online ones, and the quality of both has varied wildly.
I have an active imagination, and I love immersive, descriptive roleplaying. My genres of choice are sci-fi, and modern-day (with a sci-fi twist). I like RP's that mix reality with fiction, and throw an unusual and exciting twist into an otherwise normal setting - something like Stargate SG-1 would be an example, or Battle: Los Angeles. An almost recognizable world, but with some sci-fi twists.
I'm a fan of military and action-based RP's that do this especially, and they are easily my favourite - though I rarely see any that appeal to me enough - all the military RP's are too 'plain', and anything else modern day is usually fantasy or fandom.
I have a lot of fandoms, but I don't really like fandom RP's - or at least, the ones that come up. I often find them a bit lacking in ideas, or too far away from what actually makes the thing I'm a fan of enjoyable.

I don't play in free, as I find the short posts and bad spelling and grammar infuriating.

I'm 43 years old, and live in the UK, so I may not be on all the time.
I also like playing non-human characters, especially anthro ones. I dig giant robots, and I love military aircraft. I'm also a very dedicated and proud Brony and furry.

Knights of the Skies

Knights of the Skies is an RPG in which the players take on the role of elite fighter pilots in an alternate world to our own, fighting against a shadowy worldwide conspiracy in the wake of a war against extra-terrestria invaders.
The pilots are part of the Knights of the Skies, a group of elite fighters pilots acting as 'troubleshooters', deployed to world-wide locations with their advanced, highly modified aircraft, by a multinational philanthropic government organisation to combat the actions of this shadowy enemy.
Through their actions, they will learn more about one another, about their world, and about the destiny of humanity...

@Dr Acula @Jamesyco @sly13 @Slypheed and anyone else who's interested, the OOC is up, although it's still a WIP - Character and Aircraft sheets will be forthcoming.

All background information, rules, and character sheets can be found in the 0th post above.

As soon as you have a character sheet filled in, feel free to post it in the OOC and once it's approved, post it in the characters tab.

Once we have a roster of characters, I'll get an IC post up and running!

I will also be playing a character to help guide things along in terms of the plot and keep us moving and on track (without railroading!) For ease and convenience, I will make my character the squadron leader, as it allows me to disseminate information to the rest of your characters and direct the events 'up close'.
I'll post them in the characters tab as an example as well.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
I just discovered your pilot interest check, and this one also piques my curiosity. Are you still looking for people?

Absolutely, please feel free to join in. As I said in the other one - as soon as I feel better, I'll get things moving.
Are you still looking for interest?
I'm not that knowledgeable about planes, but am happy to do a little research and help tell a cool story.

Absolutely, always happy to have more people onboard. And you won't need an encyclopedic knowledge. Research is appreciated too, of course.
As soon as I no longer feel like my head is being squeezed in a vice and my lungs and nose aren't full of cement, I'll get something up for an OOC, and that should help.
I've come down with a case of Con Crud after returning from the convention I was at, and it's sapping my energy something fierce at the moment. As soon as I feel a bit more up to it, I'll get to work on the OOC.
Sorry to keep everyone waiting.
I am back, but have unfortunately come down with a case of con crud, which is sapping all my energy and ability to do much. As soon as I start to feel better and more up to it, I'll get an OOC written up for this. Sorry to keep everyone waiting.

Garrett took hold of Sentinel's controls as the order to launch came through. The AUG's systems powering up to full combat status. The full-surround cockpit screen came to life, and the holographic readouts and instruments shimmered into life. The AUG's eyes lit up, and its' running lights followed shortly thereafter in sequence.
He laughed at Rabbits' reply to his playful humour and replied with the same light tone.

"It's a deal, Rabbit. I'll keep them off your back!"

Bay doors opened and Himinbjorg's skies filled the view. Grapples released, and the AUG fell away from the ship. Control surfaces and vanes extended, angling and shifting. With a jolt, the Sentinel as free of the launch bay, and free-falling through the skies. The slightest flare of thrusters was enough to give some positive control in the glide, while keeping output low enough that it shouldn't register too abnormally on any watching sensors. A twitch and shift of those wing-like controls, and the Aug's controlled fall was a graceful glide.
The rest of the assault team fell or flew around him, the others having peeled away to make their approaches to the communications gear.
Blue tags highlighted the location of the others assigned to his team, and their position in his field of view. Tallow had hit the ground first, so he aimed for her landing spot, shifting the Aug's posture in mid-air, and coming in for an efficient, businesslike, if not graceful landing. The AUG's feet took the brunt of the landing without complaint, skidding a few feet as it landed, before resuming a standing posture; not much different from Tallow's landing in terms of ground-shaking impact and the strewn debris and dirt. He grinned at her remark and nodded the AUG's head in her direction.

"Can't have put much money into it - they didn't hire us, after all. Think that means we ought to show them what they missed out on..."
@Beesechurger I'll be away until Monday from tomorrow, so while I don't expect I'll miss out on too much, just an FYI in case I do need to catch up.
FYI; @VitaVitaAR I'm going to be away until Monday, so while I don't expect to miss too much, I'll catch up as best I can - if need be! - when I get back.
