And their collective time in costume comprises less than one minute of the whole movie. Not to mention Madame Web was already played to perfection by Stan Lee’s WIFE in the 90’s.
@Big McLargehuge Also, I wanted to ask this, but it doesn’t make a ton of sense for a massive AR game to have multiple controllers/digivices. I was wondering if you thought of restructuring the system like the Adventure 02 system? I.e. The kids had their digivices (the D3s), but they also had those pager things (can’t remember the name) that stored their digi-eggs. What if you used something g similar but the pager stored Farms, Mods, Digi-Eggs, etc?
@The World@Big McLargehuge The only reason I’d keep the Digivice SV ‘memory’ mechanic is because I’m writing under the assumption we’ll have to keep updating our character sheets whenever we get a new Digimon/evolution. Having old mods ‘saved’ means players in the RP won’t have to constantly be removing and adding Digimon every time they need new mods. Nothing really to do with the GAME in the RP, but just convenience for the people posting on the forum.
To clarify: If you are using an Agumon, and there’s a Gatomon, Elecmon, and a Kuwagamon in your Farm Island, Agumon can only use modifications pertaining to those THREE Digimon. Should any of them evolve, players would access the evolution’s modifications, but the weaker ones are saved to the Digivice memory and can still be used later.
@Crimson Flame@tobiax@TheNoCoKid@The World I've been doing some figuring, and I may have to simplify the DiM system from what I initially had in mind, as well as make certain rules for what kinds of DiM cards can be used by Digimon; for example, attack cards can only be from--at most--Digimon from one evolutionary stage higher than the Digimon that uses it. An example would be Aegiomon (Champion/Adult level) being able to utilize RizeGreymon's (Ultimate/Perfect level) Trident Revolver attack, but not being able to use Amphimon's (Mega/Ultimate level) Raiburn Break/Thunder Break attack. If any of you would be interested in helping me set this up, I would be very appreciative.
Getting back to this just now, but if you want to simplify the concept, I think there’s an idea that could work. You mentioned having the ability to utilize Farm Islands in the game world. What if you can use the modification system, but it only applies to Digimon that are on your farm islands?
This way, players have an incentive to use the VB Digivice and collect more Digimon while the SP users don’t miss any game-breaking power ups and could focus their efforts on the single Digimon they’re evolving?
I’m definitely down for some Digimon RP. I will say though if you’re going for Cyber Sleuth vibes, instead of using phones, the game could be what the digivice’s are for in this story.
You could even spice it up like CS and have different FORMS of digivices. Like how the CS protags used goggles for their digivices and the HM protags had a visor.
"Well..." Harry produced his map and gestured to where he'd marked out the tombs. "Our best chance is to start in the South Province. If I did these translations right, finding the tombs is only half the challenge. Once we find them, we'll have to 'break the seals' which I've only found a few vague references to is Ms. Raifort's notes. Something about the 'Black Spikes'." Harry looked up to see Renata looking over the map with a vested interest. She at least seemed genuine about wanting to help which caused Harry's nerves to settle by the slightest bit. He was about to continue when they were interrupted by a shout coming from across the terrace atop Mezagoza. The Normal and Ghost trainers looked up just in time to see a girl fall off a Tropius' neck and crash on top of... Adam.
Harry debated leaving the girl to her fate of being annoyed by the brash trainer when his morality won out. "Hold on," he said before setting down his map and rushing over to Jordan. "I just saw you fall, are you ok? You had a pretty nasty drop from your Tropius." When he finally got a good look, Harry recognized her as a fellow student. "Oh hey. Jordan right? I think we have advanced Pokemon Bio with Professor Jacq?" He caught Adam shooting him an annoyed look since he'd been the one knocked to the ground. "Oh, are you alright too, Adam? Of course, I'm sure it'd take more than that to injure that hard head of yours?" Harry chuckled awkwardly at his joke while Striker buried his face in his wing. Moony meanwhile, had climbed onto his trainer's back and had elected to sleep with his head on Harry's shoulder. At hearing his trainer's voice, the little Teddiursa blearily opened its eyes and looked at the gathered trainers in total confusion, "Ursa...?
Judging by the look in Adam's eyes, Harry could tell he was embarrassed by him suddenly popping in. Deciding to bail before things got anymore awkward, Harry felt a grin spreading across his face, "Well... It seems like everyone is totally fine here so I'll juuuuuuuuuuust get going. Gotta start my Treasure Hunt after all! Good luck with yours!" As Harry was about to turn away, he felt a hand clamp down on his shoulder. It seemed as though he wasn't getting out without a battle...

> In the Hamlet I live in a cabin on the outskirts of town. I prefer living close to the woods in order to keep watch. > I spend most of my time hunting in the woods. Villagers in the Hamlet know my skill with a bow and are willing to pay decent money - by Hamlet standards - so they don't have to venture into the woods. > I am known for having a mildly standoffish demeanor. Due to incidents in my past, I'm not the most trusting person so it leaves me guarded at times. > My current goal is to survive. So long as I have a bow in my hands and the freedom of the world stretched out before me, I don't care much where I am or what I'm doing. My only roadbloack tends to be my never-ending search for money. > My secret is I'm a Half-Elf. Because of my Fey ancestry, I have a certain amount of magic which I use to aid in my daily hunts in the forest. Forest dwellers are mistrusted though, so I try to keep my elf side a closely guarded secret. As such, I'm almost always seen wearing my hood in town to keep people from seeing my elvish ears, the most defining trait of mine.

Rallis has been living in the Hamlet for a few years at this point, and the re-opening of the Adventurer's Guild has him intrigued. The idea of being a bounty hunter could open new possibilities for earning some extra money for food and other necessities.

[ Clothes ] Aside from regular villager's clothes, Rallis is almost never seen without the bright blue hooded cloak that covers his head. Why such a cloak doesn't give him away in the green forest is anybody's guess. [ Sling ] A popular game and toy in the village. Powered by pebbles and rocks. [ Waterskin ] For when you get thirsty. [ Snacks ] it's simple food, but lounging in the sun always makes lunchtime special.
@Mae Currently traveling this weekend for a wedding and don’t have access to my computer. I’ll try and have my CS copy/pasted if I get a moment, but I should have something proper on Monday at the latest.
