Hello! Welcome to my little bio.

Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).

Have some dancing medjed.

Well hey Click

Glad to see you interested anyways, and would be more than happy to have ya.
"So I ask you, oh great Our'ous, what, is an undead?
A miserable little pile of bones? A mere mistake in your endless cycles of destruction and creation?
Nay, nay. You do not make mistakes. Then why, why are we cursed? Why are we fallen by the wayside?
Answer me, oh great serpent of creation and destruction! For Ichor has granted us succor where you have ignored.
By the blessings of Violet and Ichor we shall be ignored no longer."
- Bible of Ichor, Chapter 3, Verse 6

In the chaotic closing days of the Ophidiel Era, it seemed the entire world was rent asunder by madness. Gods, and men fighting Otherworldly monstrosities. Demons running rampant, unchecked. Betrayed by the giants as they cut the Roots of the World and opening the floodgates for the things from beyond. The dead, too, eventually even could not rest, thrown out of the cycle of death and rebirth, either forgotten by the Gods or purposefully tossed aside.

Led by the First of the Undead to be given succor by Ichor and brought to life by the Violet Witch, she would go on to lay waste, bring plague and another threat to the Era. But still, even in such circumstances...mortals faith remained strong in their gods. A god would forge a hundred silver swords, blessing with sunlight and holy might and give them to a hundred paladins and set them on a quest - to slay the undead Queen.

Years of fighting ensued with otherworldly monstrosities pressuring the humans from oneside, undead from another, and demons from another. Still, the paladins would bravely and heroically fight against the hordes of all, and eventually after many years of fighting corner the Queen. Her generals defeated. Servants laid to rest and the undead hordes broken and beaten.

Alas, it was not meant to be their complete victory. For while they were fighting, an assassin bearing a god slaying blade would strike down their God leaving the blades and paladins without much of their strength. Lacking the ability to kill her now, instead, they would seal her. The combined power of their blades, imprisoning her deep, below the earth in a tomb of silver blades.

...but that was nearly an age in and of itself ago. As the sunless and moonless skies shine upon a world without light, once more the dead begin to stir to unlife.

"Arise, my children. Ichor grants you succor once more. Arsie from your eternal slumber. Drink deep of my blood as you did when you were born. Fear not the sun or relics of the Gods, for they no longer hold any power. Find the tomb of the silver swords. Revive the First. Bring her before me. So as I command, you will listen."

Well hello again. What is this madness? Running a -third- RP? You bet your butt I am because I have zero self control. This was mostly born out of my current addiction to V Rising as well as my love for Gothic settings and Undead of various forms. I'll explain a bit more in a bit since I realize the little opener may not have explained too much besides some background info but first, to address the elephant in the room -

What do I mean by an 'Unheroic RP'? Well, its quite simple really. You're a vampire. You're an undead. You may have heroic qualities, but as it stands, you are gonna probably be doing some not so nice things to humans. However, I do not want characters that are murderous psychos or Edge Mc Edgeface just because. Try to have a little more nuance in your characters. Just because you're a 'bad guy', does not mean you have to be a 'bad guy', you know? You'll be more anti-heroes rather than villains.

Now, moving on...

The general feel and theme for this RP will be a bit of a Gothic High Fantasy adventure in a world that is objectively, well, kinda terrible, especially for humans that barely are able to eke out a living in the world that has lost all of its gods. You'll be playing vampires that have recently been granted life once more by your Goddess, Ichor. Powerful undead that once served as high ranking members of the Undead Queens operations. Your goals will be simple - find your queen and revive her while rebuilding the undead influence in this world.

However, before reading further, note I want this to be a small cast. Small! I will be accepting no more than five or six active characters at any given time.

A few notes about characters:

  • Players will be fairly powerful to start with. They should be able to reasonably handle most non-boss level threats without too much trouble either by themselves or with a companion. Your power of course, will come from your blood and the power that Ichor grants her undead children. Your powers may be degraded after so long being well, dead, but you will surely, slowly, regain your former power.
  • Magic and power for Vampires can vary greatly. Terramancy, Blood Magic, Celestial magic, summoning...there are many avenues that Ichor's blessings present themselves, and while some are common and well known, there could very well be abilities out there that are unique to an individual. As a rule, vampires are physically stronger than the average human and possesses skill with Blood Magic as a base.

Some misc world info to set the tone -

The world:
As hinted at in the opening, this RP will be taking place in a world where there is no sun nor moon. No light shines upon this forsaken land where the gods have died and their power is weakened. The gods died a long, long time ago and when the last of them fell, the world too, died with them, plunging it into a realm without light. It is covered in a cold, impenetrable darkness where humans must carry a light source of some kind at all times, or be swallowed by it.

Humans devolved into beasts. The fantastical races of the land went into hiding. Fallen angels, the Nephilim, stalk the land and hunt anything that is not their own.

Gods, Spirits, and things other:
Gods...a thing of the past. A relic of the Ophidiel. None currently live upon this world abandoned by all divine providence. Humans, clever and strong still manage to live despite this. There may still be lesser spirits that exist, hiding far, far away from any humans or others. Indeed, things other than gods, things from beyond the Roots, from beyond the now severed branches still lurk, waiting, feeding, feasting.

Civilization:
Does not exist. Simple. Humans live together in what is either large city states, or small villages with highly built walls in order to keep both other humans as well as the monstrosities that exist beyond their shelter out. This includes you.

Vampires:
Undead beings which retain both their appearance, memories, and general personality. Unique in the fact that they are one of the few pinnacles of undead existence born from the union between Ichor and her apprentice, the Violet Witch. Generally, Vampires are fairly strong when compared to humans. Seductive, physically strong, and with peculiar magical affinities. As well, vampires must feed on the blood of living humans. There’s no way around it, they must feed on living humans. Animal blood could…satiate one for awhile, but eventually it would start to have detrimental effects upon the vampire. New vampires can only be created by giving a mortal blood from a vampire in a ritual performed under the watchful eye of Ichor.

I will go ahead and put the CS here for help writing down ideas, but wait until the OOC to post any please, as there will probably be more info in the OOC to help character creation.

Liora

"No need to be so stiff, Aurelian." She replied with a laugh. "We're all friends here, aren't we? Might as well let loose a little." Or perhaps rather, if she was going to be doing something she found incredibly grating and unfun, she was going to make her own fun with it. The rest of the Envoy's certainly didn't seem like they'd be easy to have a good time with anyways. Paladin? Pfft, he'd probably try and make her become a nun or something. The dragonborn seemed just as fun in all honesty. Shame. "No worries friend. Pull up a chair. Don't worry, I only bite if you ask." She'd say towards Arthur, the last apparent Envoy to arrive back in her seat, propping her own boots up on the table as she'd take a long swig of a drink.

He didn't seem particularly entertaining in the bedroom...but perhaps she could get some fun martial practice with all of them? Hm, she didn't really care for such things but there was always that annoying nagging feeling in the back of her head...at least that Envoy of Reemis seemed like they might provide a bit of entertainment for her.

"And if you want more of a spectacle, I could definitely give you one if I get drunk enough." She flashed a smile to Rean. It was about this time the Tavern owner approached. It was a good thing she had distracted everyone with some drink. By the time all of them showed up the atmosphere had already started to turn a bit sour. Needing work, huh? Well, not her favorite sort of work. She could think of much better ways to get some morale up, if that's what they were worried about. Leave all the complicated stuff to other more qualified people.

Though, she supposed she was one of the other, more qualified people.

Tsk, maybe she could find someone that could entertain her...

"If our purpose is to kill me with boredom, then sure." Liora said with a sigh. "This isn't exactly my area of expertise you know. I'm much more suited towards you know, affairs of the bedroom and parties despite what Vyandar here seems to expect." She'd pull her feet off the table, leaning towards the others instead now as she'd rest her arms on its surface. "...unless the culprit is someone I can out-drink, heh. Might not be too terrible then." Getting on the Marshall's goodside was a good thing to have too...being able to pull some strings in case she got carried away would definitely help her...and them. The rest of them, too.

"I'm fine with it. When do we wanna head out? I might need to restock on the good stuff before we go..."

"Weh? Little Akari is accusing me~" Kaori responded with an all too fake pout. "I suppose I'll just have to hug my little comfort Tomoko harder to ease away this pain~" Aside from squeezing the Mujina harder and rubbing its head, as Tomoko and the others continued, the spider would content herself to stay silent. So no more information was to be had then. Whisked away all at varying times without rhyme or reason. Tomoko was right, too. Most youkai would stay away from such popular areas...

Unless, of course their natural habitat was a more metropolitan area. As Tomoko was saying, something about modern urban legends and such seemed to fit more than more traditional Youkai. Something created because someone believed it to exist? So a potential Youkai of modern descent that liked kidnapping little kids. Sadly, she was less familiar with such modern Youkai.

"...Ah? Old? I'm not sure what you mean, you trash loving racoon. If you're going to insult me at least make it a fun one that I can enjoy, hmph. I'm no older than the cute little ghost currently making a mess on the table." Was she upset? No, not really. She didn't mind the insults, and if anything she was always amused when someone tried too. She'd have played with the Tanuki a bit more, but at the moment a more pressing matter was at hand.

"Ah! A spirit Invocation, ehe. Yes that's perfect." Shina would find a spider descending from the ceiling and deciding to spin a web in her hair, making a mess of it as Kaori would turn to Tomoko. "Ehe, isn't my Tomoko just the smartest?"

“Foolish. Arrogance. Ignorance. You only remain strong because you know not what you are up against.” The black masked figure seemed entirely unbothered by Vammy’s spell - in fact, it would raise its on, withered arm from under its robe a sphere of light briefly illuminating the area. In an instant, nearly all magical effects had been rendered useless, snuffing out Vammy’s fire wall.

“So allow me….a humble prophet…to Illuminate you.” A second weathered hand would reach for his mask as he’d hold the orb of light in his hand. The mask slowly was removed from his face, and underneath -

Was a hollow void of nothing, yet a beautiful tapestry of everything at once.

Immediately as the mask was removed black, gooey tendrils launched themselves from his face. One by one the innumerable tendrils would latch onto the unconscious and beaten cultists, penetrating their skulls and immediately killing them. A tendril too, would chase after the one Vammy was running off with.

“Gwuh. Put me down!” The woman was still struggling, thrashing about in Vammy’s grip and making it hard to keep a good grip on her.

The tongue lashed out, Lissa managing to halt her retreat briefly enough to draw her blade and turn to face the creature bearing down on them. A flash of steel. The cutting of flesh. The Raam’s blade sunk into the creatures tongue, but it wasn’t deep enough to sever it completely, it was enough to cause the creature to halt its assault, recoiling back in pain as it’d briefly lose its camouflage.

“Gwaaak…” A pained croaking noise as the pouch on its throat would start inflating, ballooning to somewhat comical proportions. A few seconds later, it’d vomit up some green looking gunk, lobbing them at the quickly retreating Raam and Mothraki. Thankfully for the both of them they were both rather poorly aimed and slow from the creatures intoxication from breathing too much moth dust. A flash of light from Nyla would see a small shield of light forming between the two of them and the liquid, but this amount of power would cause her to strain a bit, slowing their pace and causing the stretcher to wobble unsteadily as they moved.

They had made it to the edge of the village now, and already they could see people moving near the edge of it, shouting and yelling for help as they’d run for the village. A few hunters that had been patrolling near the edge started to run over,

"Guh-!" Hit with the blast of air, Kokoha would guard herself against it, though it really didn't bother her too much. It was more annoying more than anything, what with it messing up her hair and everything. "Ugh, finally..." Kokoha's shoulders would slump slightly as the thing would finally start deflating, but she'd quickly straighten her stance. Wearing an energetic grin, in sterotypical magical girl fashion she'd strike a cute pose. "Ahem - I mean, and that's a plus one for the good guys! Way to go me! Such a shame I had no help whatsoever! I'm just that awesome even if I'm totally mostly support~"

The highschool gal would turn towards her 'ally' in the fight. She wasn't too familiar with this particular magical...fox? She seemed to behave like a useless old lady from what she had observed. Would it have killed her to not leave killing the frog up to her? She barely had enough fire power usually to do much on her own, hmph. Well, at least it was over with.

"No really, would it have killed you to do something else other than make my life hard?"

“She left town right after helping us.” The brother said with a somewhat worried expression. “She said something about Harzel knights looking for her…” He shook his head. “I don’t know why, she was really nice! E-even…if she was kind of scary when she was fighting that thing…”

“U-uhm, now that you mention it…I think…it had wings? On its front legs…I think they sort of folded together when it was walking…?” The sister replied, watching as Reinhardt would draw a familiar looking marking into the ground, causing the girls brow to furrow in thought. “I…I think so? But…nnhn, only the very top of the crest I think? I didn’t…really get a good look at it.”

Well, that was odd, but it likely would confirm something for the party. This was no Fomorian at all based on the information provided.

“Uhm…we can lead you all to the village we live in now I guess…” The brother glanced to the ground. “W-we’ll be passing through the same forest Miss Elnith went through, I think! She might still be there…but we might also run into some Harzel knights…”

“Ahaha, sober my ass!” She’d laugh. “You look more drunk then Sig-Reinhardt did, ahaha…” She’d cough, chuckling in a mildly embarrassed manner before quickly downing another mug. “And please, I’ll buy you as many mugs as you want!” She’d toss the mug off to the side, causing it to clang off the wall behind as she’d motion for another.

“What say you, Fio? Come on, come on, it’ll be fine! You got a late start so you’ll totally win!” The Queen was definitely more than a little drunk it seemed, though she wasn’t slowing down with the alcohol a bit. The queens grip on Fio would finally relax just enough for her to not be smothered in her chest, though, but she would unfortunately find herself then being leaned on by the queen as she’d toss an arm around her shoulder in a jovial manner, wrapping around her waist where her hand would instead, end up grabbing Fio’s chest.

“...your queen is about as difficult to handle as you were, sister.” Leo would chuckle off to the side, though he’d quickly look away from Luna’s gaze immediately after saying it.

"...eh? Eh?" Kaori blinked, looking from the Tomoko in her arms to the Tomoko walking away from her. "Two...two Tomokos?" She'd look back to the one in her arms, then back to the real Tomoko all the while not letting the one in her grip go or giving her any sort of leeway to wiggle out of the embrace. Had she died? Was this heaven? Was she given a gift by the gods for being a good little spider? Ahhh, she could hardly contain herself!

"Eheheheh~!" With a loud giggle, Kaori would pickup the Mujina, completely uncaring of the other youkai's struggle. "Tomo-chan, you shouldn't have! Ehehe, I'll be sure to take her home with me and make sure nothing bad happens to her~" The Mujina, would find it hard to respond since her face was still shoved in Kaori's chest as the spider would take a seat at the club table, sitting the girl down in her lap and not releasing her as Tomoko got to explaining what they were doing here.

Oh dear, oh dear...someone snatching up little girls that wasn't her? Oh that wouldn't do at all! Some other, nastier, meaner youkai surely was doing such unwholesome and terrible things to them! It made her loving little spider heart angry...of course, she was completely aware of the look she got from Homura.

"Ufufu, what's the matter, Homu-chan? Giving me such a passionate seeming glance~ Now's not the time you know?" Teasing aside...hm. There were many youkai known for kidnapping children, or people in general...and she was guilty of that, but she had mostly behaved herself since she met Tomoko. "Do we...have any more information, Tomo-chan? We can narrow it down to those that specifically like to target children, but without other information it feels hard to speculate..."
Liora

"Haa..." She really didn't wanna get out of bed. She had a nice comfy bed, and was currently being held by pretty handsome individual after a rather fun night of getting into a rather fancy party held by one of the merchants here. Probably one of the best nights she had in awhile. Ugh, she really didn't want to get up. After about ten more minutes of internally complaining and lamenting though, she'd slowly get out of bed, making sure not to wake her partner as she'd slowly get herself dressed, and would soon leave the place and head out into the city of Coris.

Coris. Quite a bustling city. The noise of the citizenry and the rest of the town was to her at least, a relaxing cacophony that allowed her to simply unfocus on anything around her. Honestly, she'd much rather not be doing this envoy stuff at all. She missed the sea a bit to, and that was the oddest feeling. A leftover emotion from her host? Tsk, thinking any more about this was going to give her a headache and piss her off a bit. Thinking wasn't exactly her or her hosts strong suit anyways, and it had become quite evident over the few months since she had taken this body she wasn't going to get any better at it.

Hm...

As she'd walk through the docks, eyes lingering on the inbound ships just briefly she'd find herself being drawn towards a Tavern - and finally, she was starting to feel the presence of the other Envoy's. Well, she had always felt them but it had been quite a relaxing period since her host had already been in and around Coris...

"Guess its time I put in a little work, eh..." She'd say to herself, walking into the Tavern. Well, they couldn't have chose a better meeting place at least. Maybe she'd buy everyone a drink on her? She had plenty of funds due to her more...salacious exploits and getting cozy with some merchants...would that stand out too much? Maybe. Did she care? Not at all. She was far more interested in getting to know her fellow envoys and if they'd be up for any brand of fun and partying.

So she'd enter the tavern, immediately picking out three others that she'd recognize as other Envoy's. A dragonborn...another Aasimar, and a human. A rather mundane bunch, aside from the dragonborn. She wondered, briefly, if every part of the Dragonborn was as big as the rest of him but quickly shoved the thought out of her head, dragged an empty chair over to Aurelius and sat down right next to him.

"You have no idea how happy I am to see everyone else, ahaha!" She'd greet him with a friendly laugh. "Orial, friend. May I have the pleasure of knowing your name? Oh, and-" As soon as another waitress approached she'd do exactly as she thought earlier - ordering a round of drinks for the entire current tavern and a rather sizable meal of fish, bread, other meats, a few fresh vegitbles, fruits and the most expensive wine she could get her hands on. "-Have a drink, on me. If I'm going to be doing work I'm going to at least enjoy myself a bit, heh."
