Personality Summary: Ruby is a sassy girl who has a comeback for everything. She has no filter and says whatever she wants when she wants to. Her hard life has given her a rough shell and she tries her hardest to act tough. It is hard for her to trust or let anyone in. She just wants to fit in and have people that she can call family, but she often sabotages her relationships due to her fears. Despite this, her demeanor remains spunky and adventurous. Ruby likes to have fun and enjoys the freedoms she has, though she yearns for more.
Regardless of her horrible life, she remains stubbornly hopeful, maybe out of habit of being so for brother, and keeps trying to make things better for them. She is childish, dramatic, and gets excitement out of very strange things for an adult woman. Slightly neurotic, quirky and with a bad temper, Ruby does struggle to handle her ever-changing moods. She clings to those in her life like a vice and gets jealous very easily. She tends to get angry over little things and is very impatient.

History Summary:Ruby was seven when her parents died. Her mother had been a seamstress and her father a chef at a small restaurant. These jobs were not the most lucrative, but they were able to support their two children and keep food on the table. They worked a lot to the point Ruby was usually the one to look after her younger brother Jack, regardless of being very loving parents. She would go to school and then often come straight home to take care of Jack and there was little time to make more than a few friends.
Despite these troubles, Ruby would have given everything to keep the life she had. It had been a rainy day when her father came home and told her that her mother was not coming back. Her father spared her the details of how her mother died; he only told her that things would begin to be very different. The very next day, her distraught, widowed father had an accident in his restaurant. Ruby was at home when it happened, waiting up for her father’s arrival. After much time passed, she walked over with her little brother to her father’s business to find that it was burnt to the ground. Smoke rose in the air as the two children stared in shock. Ruby Maeve and Jack were on their own from then on. Miserable, the kids started to make their way back home, but they never made it.
They were snatched right up from their spot and screamed for help as they were taken away, but no help came. The people that snatched them were unusually kind but manipulative. The kids initially thought that they were rescued, but soon found themselves working long days and nights for their new ‘parents’, making no time for school or fun. They no longer had friends nor even owned anything more than cots in the empty attic they shared.
For two years, they were stuck in this arrangement of hard labor until one day they got fed up. The two of them planned an escape once an opportunity arose and they ran back into the streets, where they were struggled for survival. That was until a few weeks after their escape. While digging through the garbage outside a tavern, a muscular woman with a bandana around her head found it. With an initially rough exterior and mannerism, she ended up being surprisingly kind on the inside. She took the two of them in and raised them. Olga’s kindness and along with the fun environment of the tavern was able to soothe the pain of the children a little. Now adults, the two help out at the tavern.
