Characters have ranks because it makes them look cool, also the Spec Ops/Elite Guard are usually the stronger ones (backed by status). You can be subordinate and still be strong, it's just to classify him in Lmpkio's thingy.

The quality is still bad. I still read it because I've done so for years and the battles are always cool despite being absurdly stupid as the power levels endlessly rise.

@thewizardguy Well that's the Kenpachi thing. He's limitless in power, hence why he was considered a massive threat to the Quincies.

It made sense to such an obscenely stupid character, yes. In exchange he nearly died (and by nearly I mean all his limbs exploded) against a talking hand with an eye.

Kenpachi's weakness was being stupid and ridiculously arrogant at times. That's BARELY a weakness in RP (especially if people get competitive), and I doubt it is one in this case.

Anyway Gun is removing the character so no more problems.

Power doesn't work that way. You can't have a character that becomes more powerful the more powerful the opponent they face, that makes no logical sense. If you're going to have your character function at massively below-optimum capacity, then you need to explain why your character is being limited, and how this limit is removed in bigger fights. I'm personally a fan of having characters that make some degree of sense, to some level, and can't suddenly become 100x more powerful whenever they feel like it.

This is a Kenpachi thing. Purposely limit oneself for reasons that are arbitrary or very questionable.

I'm not for this practice. It's admitting the character can be on equal footing with anything which in turn makes things rather easy when you have a massive amount of options in terms of abilities.

I'll give better judgement when the character ends up in the CS tab or is linked in the recent OOC. CBA to find it.

@Gun@dirty slime Alright. On one side there are complaints about being gamey/unfair and on the other that there's some form of powerplaying and exaggeration of facts. Because this is the first battle I'm not going to make thorough judgement in the OOC at least. I'll wait if similar problems emerge or if I notice a trend among you two.

If you two want to push this further and actually have something resolved, make a PM conversation with Lmpkio and I included. Can't be bothered to flood the OOC anymore with this.
