So I have been on the Guild for a long, long, long, long, long, long, LONG time. I first joined the OldGuild around, my best guess would be 2012? I've been active in the Star Wars scene on the Guild since then, there have been very few games based around that genre that I haven't at least nosed my way in on. My very first game was a Star Wars game and that's what actually really got me into the Star Wars Franchise.

It's weird to think but I am such a major Star Wars nerd these days, yet before I was on the Guild I wasn't. I got into a Star Wars RP, got onto the Wikia, and then away I went into a spiral of nerd-om that I currently live within. I've grown since then, I game quite a bit, I write when I can. I have a wikia full of a lore to my own original creative universe and play around with some 'cool' comic book nerds.

Active Roleplays:

@Dead Cruiser Most people are 'establishing' right now so I don't know if anyone will be ready for anything like that yet.

You can start off, and wait till somewhere to jump in logically appears, or alternatively I'm afraid the option would be to wait.
@Sep I don't have a problem doing that, I just thought it would be an interesting spin. I didn't actually plan for him to be around Storm/T'Challa all that much, owing to how much he butts heads with Black Panther. He would mostly be a nuisance for Director America, who was one of Thor's closest allies on Earth.

I see where you were going with it, but we just feels like it ties up too many big names (while you may not interact with them often, the setup limits what they can do).

@Sep It shouldn't invalidate Thor if someone wanted to play him.

My idea was for Magni Thorson, Thor's oldest child and heir. Due to a potential threat against the lives of the Asgardian royal family, he and his siblings have been sent away to other worlds, under the care of Thor's allies.

Magni has been sent to live with his mother and stepfather, Storm and T'Challa, the latter of which he doesn't really get along with.

As a character I'm imagining Magni as mostly just being a young and impetuous Thor. A divine prince living in exile, and none too happy about the matter.

It doesn't invalidate the character (other GMs can over-rule me on this) but it does lock a popular character into a specific chain of events in order to allow a much more obscure character be written, while also locking Storm and T'Challa into certain events. If that makes sense?

IF you want to do the Impetuous Princling of Thunder why not just use Thor? Have him be at his 'Year 1' preset.
In the meantime, I may be drafting a Driving character. How would we feel about Thor as King of Asgard? That's not the character I'm proposing, but would be important to it.

Related, is anything going on with Storm right now?

King Thor while not actually playing Thor would depend on the concept. We're hesitant too establish characters we aren't directly playing, just in case someone wanting to play them comes along.

@DocTachyon will know better about Storm but I can't think of anything.
I assume that the colors issue is about my post also. So, please tell me what colors are causing issues and I will change them as soon as possible! And if they need to be lighter or darker.

Yours is fine with me, it's all very light/high contrast. To put it how my eyes work, your Wondy speech and overall text are very similar in colour.

It's not a problem though :)

Feel like this discussion always happens once the IC starts in these games.

I have less need in this one. My Blue Beetle stuff had a fair supporting cast though... made it easier without so many clunky "X said", "Y spoke forcefully", "Z whispered", etc.

Kept dialogue at a quicker pace for readability.

Yeah I totally get it. In some past games where I have a lot of self-interaction I've done the same thing.
I have been thinking of just trying to distinguish between prose, dialogue, and thoughts of the character using italic, bold, and speech marks. The way coloured dialogue looks is very aesthetic imo but I have never been very good at picking suitable colours that looks good hehe

Honestly experiment as you will, but I feel like there's no need too if you don't want too. Use of colours is just a thing very popular in these games.

Most people tend to pick based on their character, green for Hulk, Purple Hawkeye, Red for Flash, stuff like that.

A lot of people also colour code their supporting cast, it's just to make it easier/nicer to read I think. Though anyone that has a different reason, feel free to correct me!

Always find it interesting.

Whatever's easier on the eyes, bud.

I think Wraith is the same as me, without a stern contrast between the colour of the text and the colour of the Guild its just really hard to read and just kinda blends together.

I appreciate you trying to be accommodating.
well alrighty, my first post is up to join the rest. i'll be off in a few hours for the next week like i said. if i need to make any changes, i'll make them then. i'm looking forward to reading posts when i get the chance :3

Really good post. I enjoyed getting to know Batgirl and getting a feel for her, and you really incorporated the world into it and gave a real feel for Gotham.

There are alleged screenshots, somewhere, somehow.

Allegedly.

Wraith hates Martians.

Wraith is known for two things.

1) Loving Dick.
2) Canada

Ontopic discussion: Loving the posts so far!

OK boomer.

Weird way to say 'I'm not Racist but...'

I was going to say @Lord Wraith is also colourblind but I don't think this will support my arguement of not being racist...
