Magnus Shane

Magnus was content in the fact that Johnathan so readily and eagerly accepted his orders, as per usual of course. He was a loyal fledgling by far and one of the only ones he trusted to carry out his every wish. Sure, he could tell the boy wanted power. More and more, enough to conquer everything...possibly even himself. But that was also why he kept him and sought to control him. His determination with each and every task, his efficiency, his undying loyalty...he was the perfect soldier. Now he had thought of the possibility he might try and turn on him, after all if he had he wouldn't be the first newblood he had to disembowel to keep the others in line. And if he certainly doubted it'd be the last if he chose to try any kind of attack.

He wasn't entirely sure, nor was he aware those were actually his intentions...but he was always prepared, at-least to some degree, and this was no exception. That said he continued sitting in his home in his comfy 'throne' of sorts, eyes closed with a wide grin on his face as he listened to the destruction outside. "Ahh how perfect...with any luck this small skirmish will be over quickly and the real fun can get started." He said, chuckling lowly to himself as he rose from his seat and walked over to the window. Arms folded behind his back he peered at the destruction, the bodies, the burning buildings...and once he opened said window the smell of it all. He inhaled deeply and exhaled slowly. This....this is what he missed. The screams of humans, the pleas for mercy as they were stricken down, the smell of blood flowing freely. It's just as it was all those centuries ago, as it should of stayed, as it should of always been.

To most of the humans here though he supposed this looked more like a terrorist attack than a supernatural foe...ah well. He didn't care. Terrorists, vampires, crazy assholes with armor and weaponry. No matter what they were known for here so long as the populace were sent a message that was all that mattered. "I do believe I'll get myself a better view.." He muttered, climbing out of the window and leaping down to the grass below. He leaped over the heavy gate and into the street on the other side, soon making his way over to a building and scaling it; using his claws to dig into the brick when there was nothing else to grip onto. Here he would simply start slowly walking along buildings, jumping from vantage point to vantage point, observing the chaos and waiting for a particular point of interest to intervene in and perhaps get a nice meal.
@BlackPantherThat sucks ;-;
@BlackPantherYeah. And most allergy medicines end up not helping and/or just making me feel worse so I don't bother to take them. 'Tis a vicious cycle.
Time to work up the ol' motivation. I know I said this yesterday...but I've been feeling shitty lately :v. Allergies and asthma bothering me worse..
Now to get to work on a post. Whee. And read all the things.
Sorry for poofing. Been really busy looking for work among other things. Just letting everyone know I ain't dead before I goto sleep. On that note. Sleep.

Another note; I actually mentioned in this iteration all vampires were immune to sunlight. But I mean, sure why not.
Date: June 22nd, 2017
Location: Vance, Tennessee
Weather: Moderate Rainfall, Warm.
Time of Day: Mid Morning-Early Afternoon

It was a seemingly average day for the normally small and peaceful town of Vance, a small town of no more than two thousand people at best. It was one of those towns you move to simply to get away from everything. Sure, it still had all the modern conveniences the world had to offer for the most part, things were simply more peaceful up here away from most of your average cities. Law enforcement was effective, and even still there was a Covenant base here to keep vampire activity if any at bay. Or so the quiet town would think. Most would be inside as of current though a few were scurrying about hurrying with their daily lives or simply to get to their destination. The town was so small most didn't drive anywhere, even during the rain.

This would also be true for one Magnus Shane, an incredibly old vampire though most certainly not one of the oldest, who lived in a large home on the edge of the town, gated and looking much more like a fortress than a home. Unbeknownst to most he had the towns government wrapped around his middle finger through his many under the counter 'donations to the towns funds', aka, the mayor and board of the towns' wallets. Life was a happy and simple one for him, though he did suspect that Covenant was keeping him under tabs to some degree he couldn't possibly care at the moment. He knew that the base here was small, and any outer lying bases would take at-least an hour to get here if not more depending on road conditions. The man was a smart one, having done his research long before this little plan of his ever came into fruition. You see he wasn't the only one at this home, no, inside was a few hundred or so younger blooded vampires. Either his direct spawn or strays he had picked up in promises of power. All of them however? Mere canon fodder, fuel for his war against humanity. They were housed either in one of the many rooms or an expansive underground chamber. It wasn't much, a simple layout of some rooms and storage and such, though it did help keep things hidden.

The only vampire out of the group he had even the tiniest bit of attachment to was one Johnathan Mayes. The boy had ambition and drive, intelligence, and a steel will that proved he was far more than capable of being his general even if he was a newblood. This of course didn't sit well with the older vampires amongst his little war clan...though...they sat quite nicely all over the floor after attempting to strike him. A rather foolish move he hadn't anticipated, but ah well. With all the many humans roaming the earth now vampires were a dime a dozen if you looked at it from a a technical point of view. Find a dumb human, promise said dumb human power, get a soldier much faster and stronger than your average human being to point in a direction and kill until it stops moving. To him, that's just what humans were. Animals waiting to be turned and sent to the slaughter to achieve his goals...though in reality, that's how he viewed the majority of his own kind.

With the Covenant most were naught but helpless little sheep bowing down to human ignorance and weaponry, most of them to scared of losing their immortal lives to get off their asses and launch a counter offensive. Humans were never meant to so vastly outnumber vampires, never meant to keep them under their thumbs in the guise of peace. No, Magnus was no fool, he realized full and well the only reason the Covenant didn't snuff them all out was the simple fact they were scared...scared of losing hundreds of thousands of people in the process, scared of losing their own lives. That coupled with simply being tired of it all was what drove him to this point. Now he would be sitting in a large open room not unlike that of a throne room, sitting across a plush red chair with gold trimming, legs crossed and head resting on a propped elbow on the arm with a bored expression on his face.

He inhaled slowly and sighed lightly, a smile soon gracing his lips. Everything was going according to plan, even more so now thanks to Johnathan delivering him much needed gear. There were simply a few final touches he needed done until he could launch the assault, his aim to take down the small town and turn its citizens, capturing the younger humans until they could grow to a sufficient age to be turned, and branch out. Repeating this process in all the neighboring towns, cities, villages, anywhere with people to slowly amass his army. As of now however, it was time to get one of said final touches in place. One Mithias Varomere, a vampire who...filthily enough, decided to work with the Covenant for whatever reason. More than likely to extend his own pathetic life.

For Magnus, that just simply couldn't do. He knew there were some vampires amongst the group, but this one was one he had the most information on. A guy whom tried his damndest to save everyone and everything he possibly could at any given moment...sickening really, especially since most of the time it was a humans' life he was saving. Nonetheless, he sat up in his chair, having a plan to draw the man out. "Oh Johnathan my boy, do come here....I have a certain task that I need you to complete~" He called out in his usual sadistic tone, a smile forming on his lips. "I need you to find this boy...one Lucan Quinn." He explained, assuming the young vampire entered the room at his command as he leaned over and grabbed a folder. It had little more than a few pictures and a basic description of Lucan but it was enough. Magnus wasn't quite sure why though he felt this was a lead to drawing out Mithias. "Find him and bring him here, rough him up a little if you wish or have to." He instructed, holding the folder out to Johnathan. "Just don't kill him, I want him relatively alive." He added.

That said he simply resumed his stature in the chair, knowing full well that Johnathan would carry out his orders as competently as possible. Sure he could send anyone else after the guy, but there was no guarantee if they'd succeed. Johnathan however he had full trust in. All he needed now was Lucan to get the gears of war turning. All according to plan.
