"We should check it out, Mr. Liao."
Gaymond

"We should, but do-" -n't go in headfirst.

The thought finished in Justin's head as Raymond lept upon his stone and then flew off. Whew. The guy was probably twice Justin's age but didn't learn the same lessons that Justin learned about not rushing in headfirst or acting without thinking. Especially given how he was just as big of a threat to the manor as the witch cult... who have pulled out. He was hoping that they didn't, by chance, leave with what they came for because he had a strong suspicion that was gonna bite them in the ass down the line. That was later, though, they had to stop whatever being that was causing all of this chaos from knocking over the place.

"It's coming from out the front!"
Shane Train Vanburen

Justin nodded his head at Shane as he floated upwards a few feet... that mitigated the effects of the constant shaking, but he thought that maybe it'd be best if they didn't stay in the mansion if, whatever that was, is trying to knock the place over. Justin floated towards the nearest window but was immediately assaulted by the powerful winds. It fed the flames that engulfed the boy, but this was the first time that Justin ever flew in a fucking hurricane. It wasn't knocking him around or anything, it just took a bit more focus to actually throw himself - not move - to where he needs to go.

He flew around towards the front and noticed the grotesque freak standing right in the open... It was a definite trap, one that Justin was smart enough not to charge headfirst into. He stood on the roof of the manor and pulled out his steel balls... and realized that he definitely would not be able to get one to her for a variety of reasons that aren't worth going over.

The wind let up a bit as the other two approached, Justin watched as Raymond threw a stone at the being and she just stood there and raised her hand in the way. When the rock approached her, the stone shattered into tiny pebbles and flew in all directions... except in any direction that would hit her. Justin aimed a steel ball to arc and hit her in the face... however, her three faces laughed. It was almost like her voice was being carried further and further by the wind.

An orange bolt of lightning came from the sky and struck her. Justin instinctively shielded his face... that was not something he wanted to see up close. When the flash faded... she was gone and everything she did stopped.

... So she must have been a distraction? Maybe they did leave with what they came for. He hoped not, but if so he had to weigh the good and the bad of the situation. Justin hopped off the rooftop and used his telekinesis to slow his descent as he touched the ground. The first thing he did was check to see if his Juul was still working... and then he took an inhale.

They had to prioritize their curse over the monetary loss.

Penelope almost broke out laughing when those rich chucklefucks went right back into their secret hole in one attack! She had to worry about Samantha and hope that she survived, but if not there would be hell to pay. Penelope grit her teeth as she and Daniel ceased the attack... it was likely that they would lick their wounds, regroup, and counterattack so they should probably get the hell out of here. Especially if that damn Horned God was nowhere near here. Penelope glanced over her shoulder and Thea had healed Samantha and Penelope exhaled...

... However, a purple portal appeared and she saw Morgana and the others on the other side.

"We gotta go!" Tegan shouted.

"Did you get the God?!" Penelope asked as she ran over.

"No, just get in!"

The remaining Wiccans ran inside and the portal closed behind them.

After everything was said and done and the dust finally settled, the Vanburens and the two "Experts" returned to the dining room... as destroyed as it was, it was the only place for the Vanburens to meet for occasions like this. Justin had sauntered into the room with the Juul in his mouth - but quickly put it away out of respect for these rich people. Originally, he looked like a professional looking for his first job interview, but his outfit was soaked and ruined - and his mom was going to kill him (but he was gonna omit that). At this point, he wanted to get the hell out of this town, but he had a job to do. His name wouldn't be Justin if he just gave up at the first opportunity. Justin raised a hand in the air and tried to unflip the table that Daniel flipped over - but it was still a little wet. So he shook his head and looked at the entire Vanburen family, all their faces and eyes that were telling him to be the solution to their problem. When in actuality, Justin had problems of his own to sort out and he was looking for help from them.

"So, um, that was..." Crazy, weird, insane, nonsensical, stupid, "... A little unexpected but I think we can get back on track, yeah?"

Justin awkwardly smiled, but he figured that he should get right into it as that smile faded. He put both of his hands up as he said,

"Allow me to properly introduce myself: I am Justin Liao - the real one, in fact - and it is great to meet you all." Justin started as he placed a hand on his chest. "Now, I'm not gonna waste your time here and condescend on you all like you don't know what magic is or anything like that - just, um, ask if you are lost about something."

Justin paused for a second to compose himself and not let a hint of being nervous shine through. He was wondering how people like his family of capable of nerves of steel... it was probably just an acquired skill. He sighed as he continued.

"Ozz has filled me in with your problem and the best way to solve it is to find the person that cursed you... who I believe might be a Blue Adept or an Apparition," He started, "Do any of you have like any enemies or something that would do this to you...?" He trailed off, as there was an awkwardness in his voice as there was something that he wanted to say.

"... There's the Harrisburgs," The tall girl with the deep voice piped up as she glanced at Ezra, the leader of the Vanburens from what Justin could tell, rather nervously.

"Cool," Justin started, "... Who are they?"

"They're longtime rivals of our family... their dad and our dad didn't get along, but..." Sabrina looked around as she tapped the table with her fingertips. "I don't think they would do this."

"Sounds like they'd do something worse... and that's the thing that gets me about this whole thing," Justin started, "It sounds like somebody wants to keep you away or something... or they want you to be somewhere."

Justin looked around the room for reactions before he sighed again.

"... Nonetheless, I'm here to help you with everything you need help with," Justin explained, "Before I came to Araminta, I did some research on the supernatural scene. There are rumors of a cult out in the woods... who I believe came to us first. Rumors of vampires stalking the night... and a mysterious ghostly black dog with red eyes... who I will tell you, from experience, you want nothing to do with."

He sighed.

"So does anyone have a lead or even an idea as to where this curse came from so I can look into it?"

The Streets of Tampa.

“...I’m going with them to finish the forgiven.”
Mistress Spooky Ho

Madison pursed her lips at the statement.

She had a hand on her hip as she looked at Lyss and couldn't help but put in her two cents - as much as it made her feel like Vashti. "... Like this, sis?" Madison looked her up and down and noticed that Maya's comment was fully correct. She did look like shit.

"We aren't going to raid their compound just yet," The Director answered when she raised a finger. "We need to allocate the resources and let Maximilian and the others catch a rest. Ideally, I want to attack the Forgiven in the next few days... but, we're gonna keep eyes on them in case they decide to cut and run."

“I’m Penny Lawson. I was working with Kimberly Walton to track down Annabelle. If you’re planning to go after Saul I would love to help but… Could I see Kim first?”
Penny

"Of course," The Director said with a smile. "Let's get on, we need to get Liao to a hospital as soon as possible."

Madison nodded her head at Lyss as she took flight... and hoped that she could remember where Vashti and Emily were. She was certain that Maya would just go with the DENS, no offense to sis but she would honestly hold Madison back... and she knew that Maya would probably kick Emily while she was down and she didn't have the energy to stop her.

The Director and the others moved into the helicopter as they cleared the area, and prepared to give Saul what's coming to him.

When the mushroom cloud faded and on an unassuming roof a swirling mass of orange sparks and embers appeared. When they faded, the Messiah and Saul were on top of the rooftop, the former of which walked to the edge of the roof with their hands behind their back. When their foot touched the edge of the roof, they stuck their hand out as if they were presenting the chaos of what Saul unintentionally caused.

"Do you see this destruction?" The Messiah asked in a monotone whisper. "Do you see the evil that spawns from the false light? What Mother is protecting you from?"

Saul walked to the edge and saw downtown Tampa in pieces... was this caused by Annabelle Heart? His jaw almost dropped as he gazed upon it all. He stammered out the words, but awkwardly, "... Yes."

"Fortunately, thanks to my machinations," The Messiah turned around as they put their hands together from underneath their robe. "The demon died in this battle."

"Wait, Annabelle's finally de-"

Before Saul could finish the sentence, the Messiah shot him a glare from underneath the robe that he could feel... he wasn't sure if it was Mother's power being channeled through the Messiah or not.

"̸̙̭̂͛͆̊́̽͒́N̶͉̬̆̍̀̓̽́͊͘͠͝ơ̸͖̜͓̜̄̒͛͐̇̀̓̋̅͘ ̷̣͚̼̭̏͋͋̈́͗͗̌̈́̊͝͠ț̷̢̯̙͔̍̇h̶̺̯̋̈́͘̕͝a̶͚̝͉̤̰͇͔̓́̕n̶̢͈̪͉̞͕͖͚̥̣͊͐̆̕ķ̵̰̩̙̤̹̖̜̀̏̽͛͌̓͠ş̷̠̰̣̹̱̻͉̩͇̉̏̽͝ ̶̣̍̐͛̔͑͘t̷͖͙̥̳̂̑͑̋͊̋̑̓͊͛͝ó̷͓̪̬̪͕̲͈̤̯͔̆̀͋̅̇͌̈́̾ ̸̙̇ͅy̸̧̯̤̠͍̓̓̏̿o̴̡̹͉͉̼̼̣̐̄ư̵̢͙̬̪̯͍͕̘̬̝̦̇̕ŗ̵̤̥̠̜̘͚̙͎̺̣̔̈́̇͒́͂̈́̂̕ ̴̢͈̯̭͓̲̇̌̅͋̈͋̈́̿͋̚õ̵̡͙̖̖̙͕͕͕̀̌̊̔̽͐͋̒̕w̶̧̼̘̠͔̦͎̜͉͕̜͐̒̑͒̔͐̊̑͝ǹ̸̛͈̅͂̾̅̌͐͒̕ ̵̙͍̫̂̅̆́̐̉̌͝͝â̴͈̤͛͊̌̄̔̌c̸͖͉̝͈̙̬̓ͅt̸̠͙̗̙͋͑̔̾̊͜͝i̵͖̗̩̙̗̣̟̘͙̹̱̘͊̕o̷̠̠̣͈̍̈́̄̀̆̑̃̆̉̽n̷͉͈͈̙͓̣̅́͝s̶̡̪͚̤̳̩͇̝̭̍̅̉̄͆̿͑̉̓̍̀̕.̶̼̪̟̪͎̼̰̀͜ͅ"̴̨̳͚̩̥̱͔̟͇͈̂̕͜͝

The Messiah took a few steps away from the edge of the rooftop before they came to an abrupt stop. "They're going to come for you, next." They spoke the words that would etch their way into Saul's mind, "I want you to let them."

"Messiah!" Saul tried to protest. "Are you insane, we have to lea-"

The Messiah whipped their head around and shot him another glare as they said the simple words, "Are you lacking faith in Mother?"

Saul was quiet.

"Well, are you?" The Messiah said, "If you are, then I can always kill you and find another church leader."

"... no, I am not, Messiah."

"Then let's go," The Messiah said, "We will have plenty of time to prepare while they lick their wounds."

The Messiah raised their hand and they disappeared in a mass of swirling orange sparks and embers.

The DENS Base.

It was pouring down rain, not unusual for Florida but it felt like a strange portent for some reason. Madison was never all that superstitious but maybe the world of magic had opened her eyes to such concepts. The rain barely bothered her because she had on a hooded windbreaker that caused the rain to slide off of her. She stood around in the rain by the treelines looking up at the skyline... Tampa wasn't going to be the same but they should, at the very least, finish things. Because if it wasn't for Saul; Kayla and Izzy would still be around - though, Madison would be here all god damn day shunting the blame around when they could just go stop Saul now.

Lyss asked her and the Coven to help with the Forgiven raid, and some people declined but Madison was going to follow Lyss to the ends of the earth - For better or worse. Though, in her own eyes, the Coven was no more... she didn't see the Coven sticking together after this - especially with a majority of the group injured, dead, or disliking each other. Though with the latter she could see some people coming around, like how she feels a little differently about Vashti now.

Herik and Mariah cut and run and Madison couldn't blame them. They probably had less of a deathwish than her, but she felt like she was rambling to herself. She looked over her shoulder at the secret facility that the DENS has just outside of Tampa... it was a lot more active than usual with cars and trucks moving in moving supplies. Madison didn't pay attention to it all as she kept her hands in her pockets and sauntered over inside the building.

Madison quickly found the meeting room with the various DENS agents - and some of her Coven sisters and friends - gathered around a table. On the table had a blueprint of a building... which she guesses is the Forgiven compound. Madison didn't make a scene as she entered.

"Is everyone here?" Director Alcott said as she rolled up. "If they're not here, then we're gonna have to fill them in. Maximilian, begin the briefing."

Maximilian leaned over the table and placed both hands on it as he looked around the entire room. "Alright, so the objective of today's operation is the capture and detainment of Luther Saul and the upper echelons of the Forgiven cult. Here is a blueprint of the compound, however, we have determined that there are many secret passages throughout the building."

He looked to the side and saw Leon who gave him a nod.

"One leading straight into one of their sacrificial altars and dungeons... that has people in there."

"One of our priorities is liberating anyone that they have captured," Director Alcott chimed in. "However, our first issue is that we have determined that the Forgiven is heavily armed with weapons that they have acquired somehow - and the fact that the facility is crawling with children."

Alcott shook her head as Maximilian continued.

"I brought up that it is a likely possibility that the Forgiven may use them as hostages... or they may hunker down and a simple raid could be stretched out to months if they play their cards right."

"However, it's likely they are already prepared for a full-on raid," Alcott said as she put her fingers together. "They most likely aren't going to suspect a small team or two going in and grab Saul because he is the top priority."

"Which is where we come in," Maximilian nodded his head, "We can sneak in, grab Saul, and then extract him without the Forgiven knowing about it then we can take care of the rest of the group. However, Saul is the top priority here."

Director Alcott nodded her head.

"Any questions?"

One of her dogs was finished off by Raymond. Another was blasted down the hallway and she sent the last dog to take Daniel to Thea. Suddenly, Morgana was without her strongest tool and realized that she was near defenseless... she had the thorny chains in her hands which she clutched just a little tighter as everyone faced her down. That Asian kid had many steel balls floating in front of him, waiting to launch them at her. And all Morgana had was a disabled Maxine and a chain.

"For the Triple Goddess..." Morgana said, voice full of fire and passion as she raised the chains and they exploded into flames. "... I'll give my li-"

Morgana shouted before an enormous quake hit the Vanburen estate. It was so much that it sent Morgana stumbling as bits of the ceiling came down. The shaking was enough to make Justin stumble and lose concentration as the building shook... and then it stopped. She could hear the chaos going on outside, it sounded like there was a tornado going on as the building was surrounded by violent winds. Window after a window broke and Morgana could barely pay attention as a bolt of lightning hit the place. It sounded like they were in the middle of a violent hurricane as the ground quaked.

A purple portal appeared behind Morgana and out of it came her twin sister Tegan who looked around with Haley looking over her shoulder.

"What's-"

"PUT UP A SHIELD!" Maxine shouted at Haley who quickly raised her barbie doll and created a yellow barrier between the Wiccans and the Vanburens. It was so thick that they could barely see through it. Morgana's chains disappeared as she and Tegan ran over to Maxine and picked her up and dragged her inside of the portal before it closed.

The steel bearing balls crashed into the barrier as it disappeared. "Fuck!" Justin shouted as the Wiccans escaped without a word. They had no clue what the Wiccans were after, but they should definitely investigate what the fuck is going on outside. He was wondering what the hell was Tuyen was up to.

The book didn't do anything to stop the Hellhound's momentum, and instead merely pissed it off as it crashed into the door anyway. It nearly knocked the door down as it craned its neck over towards Tuyen and then growled at her as it walked towards her menacingly.

Penelope scoffed at Tuyen and grinned at her as she created flames in both of her hands as she took a step forward. "I'm about to do some major property damage to your face, dollface!" She shouted at her as she let off a fireball at the ground not too far away from Tuyen. "Now scram bef-"

That was when the knife cut through the air and hit Samantha directly in the chest and Thea loudly screamed as the girl dramatically fell on her back. Penelope's eyes shot wide open as she grits her teeth and shouted, "What the fuck!?"

In a normal situation, Thea would have left the knife in Samantha but this was beyond normal. She used both hands to yank the knife out but immediately put both hands over the wound as Samantha was illuminated in blue light. The wound began to heal... that was when the earthquake hit the building and Thea fell over onto her ass. The healing that she had applied began to slowly undo itself and Penelope hissed as she stumbled over. They heard the storm that was going on outside that was tearing the mansion apart and she could only think out loud.

"... The Triple Goddess."

Thea immediately put her hands back on Samantha and began healing her, and Penelope knew that they had to cover her.

"Daniel!" Penelope shouted as she pointed both hands down the hallway. "Water cannon!"

Daniel nodded as he joined her in pointing her hands down the hallway and then the two joined together as they created a torrential wave of water out of thin air. It created a powerful wave of water that would send away even the strongest person without an anchor - it also went into the secret passageway. They kept it going and going even as sweat dripped down their head.

Meanwhile, the Hellhound was loudly yelling as the water extinguished the inner flame that it had kept going. The creature let out a dying yelp as it crumbled away into ash... flowing down the river

When Junior didn't respond, Sabrina was running around the dining room looking for him. Checking down halls, into rooms, even trying to call his cellphone but hers got destroyed by Daniel's initial attack. Her siblings seemed oddly calm about Junior, their youngest member, being missing and seemed to be a lot more concerned with repelling the invaders. Which was fine and all but they needed to make sure that Junior was okay, it was what James would have wanted. She looked around as those who didn't accept his call to action stayed behind in the dining room... which included Sabrina. Maybe later she'd have the strength to help but with her abstraction being ill-suited for fighting all that she would do is get in the way.

But still, this didn't sit right with her, and nor should it with the rest of the Vanburens. She walked over to Oscar as she said, "Are we just going to sit here while Junior could be in trouble?" She shook her head. "For all we know, they could have been after him all along and everything was a distract-"

There was an orange bolt of lightning that appeared at the corner of Sabrina's eye that directed her towards the window. Out in the white fields was... something strange. It had three faces that floated off of her head and had the body of a woman. Everything was bare to the world, including her genitals, but it was wrong to Sabrina. She had various patches of exposed skin and red and other fleshy colors flowed off of her. Sabrina never has seen anything like it as she walked over to the window with an eyebrow raised... was this an apparition or something else?

The being raised her hand.

Sabrina's heart started racing.

The ground began shaking as Sabrina screamed as she fell onto her ass and she heard the window crash in front of her. However, the ghost of Mary Roberts was always watching her back and covered her face with cloth and enhanced its tensile strength enough so that she wouldn't get cut. However, she still felt it... much like she felt the winds of the storm that the apparition created around the manor.

What was her play here?
hai
@The Ghost Note I know that. I didn't mention the hellhounds at all. I'm asking if everyone is where the wall is and Junior is with everyone else, then what room could he possibly be in if not in or around the dining room. If he's not in that area, then he shouldn't be at the wall or anywhere near the dining room and shouldn't be talking to anyone in that area at all.

I mentioned the Hellhounds because the Wiccans rode on them a bit of distance away from the dining room before the vine wall went up. So to answer your question, no, the vine wall isn't near the dining room.
