She didn’t recognize them initially, and what was wrong with her?! They were, like, the two other most incredible people in the world next to Adora. When Emily, George, or one of the other assholes were bullying her, Vanessa and Clem were always right by Adora’s side when she put them in their place. That dropped jaw quickly turned into a smile as she sat up,
”Nessa! Clem!” Lisa shouted with that dumb smile on her face. ”It’s been so long, it’s so great to see you two!”
Then she raised her handcuffs in the air.
”... Mind getting these off? Just me though,” She smiled widely, tilting her head. ”... These two are crazy.” She laughed her ass off afterward.
"You know, I can get out of these myself," Saskia mumbled.
“Hold up,” Clementine said with a raised hand. “First… before we do anything, we need you three to prove that you really are who you say you are….”
“I mean, given the reports that Stauber, Chertok, and Gomez put in…” Vanessa said, with her arms crossed. “... The abstractions line up completely.”
“Hold on,” Clementine said, getting up and walking over to Lisa. She reached into her shirt.
“... Hey, that’s my tid-”
“Shut up,” Clementine commanded before she found it… the Spider in Amber, and her jaw dropped. She used her other hand to lift it above Lisa’s head. “But… it makes no sense…”
“Ella’s Channeler, that Sailor Moon Wand you called stupid all those years ago…” Vanessa laughed. “... Is in the evidence locker.”
"It's not stupid," Ella whined.
Then she walked over to Saskia and grabbed their wrist, getting a good look at the Death Note bracelet.
”Oh, so you just grab her wrist and not her tiddy...” Lisa pouted. ”I see how it be.”
"Wow, is my tiddy not good enough to grab?" Saskia intoned.
“... If it’s a shapeshifter,” Vanessa began. “It’s a damn good one.”
“It makes no sense!” Clementine said. “How are you three back?! Now of all times, too?!”
"We'd love to know the answer to that too," Saskia shrugged.
"I can tell you how we came back!" Ella said, grinning. "We got brought back by the hound! We were in this super creepy dark place and he said someone made a deal to bring us back! But we gotta do some things for him first… which is why we're here!"
Clementine raised an eyebrow.
"Yes, we're his… Agents of Death."
"Which is a stupidly edgy name! We're the magical girls!"
Clementine tilted her head.
"I like it. Oh," Saskia looked from Ella back to Clementine and Vanessa. "Did you see my drawing? It's what the hound asked us to do to regain our lives."
“You mean this…?” Clementine reached over the table, grabbed it, and held it with both hands as she stared at it, stunned. Vanessa walked over, peeked over her shoulder, and said,
"I'm glad someone recognises my talent," Saskia nodded expressionlessly.
“But, does this have something to do with the murders…?” Clementine asked.
“You think these three goofballs have been killing people?” Vanessa asked, followed by an awkward.
”What murders?” Lisa said with a tilt of her head.
Clementine sighed.
“I only have a hunch about it, but someone has been killing members of the Old Coven, and leaving a wolf idol at their body,” Clementine sighed. “So far, they’ve gotten Elsa, Ripley, Jade, Kari-”
”Wait?! Kari?!” Lisa shouted, standing up to her feet. It couldn’t be true.
“She was the most recent in the string of murders,” Clementine flatly answered.
"Kari's dead…" Saskia trailed off, looking away for a moment.
”I… I…” Tears started going down Lisa’s face, as she reached up to wipe them off herself.
"All four of them… Kari… we didn't even get to say goodbye!" Ella's lower lip started trembling and her eyes filled with tears, instantly streaming down her cheeks. She sniffed and reached up with cuffed hands to try wipe them away, but they were an unstoppable waterfall down her face.
“Recently, Kura went down, too,” Vanessa shrugged.
"We've only been alive again for... About four days, I think." Saskia tilted her head, awkwardly patting Ella's leg with both hands (because handcuffs) at the same time. "It's difficult keeping track when we spent most of the time inside. But we have no idea about these murders. We didn't even know it had been ten years…"
“Well,” Clementine shrugged, “We’ve been hoping to do something about it, but most of the murders were in St. Portwell. And we’re stuck here.”
”Like what?” Lisa asked with a tilt of her head.
“Something, anything,” Clementine said. “Better than sitting on our ass and waiting for him to come after us next.”
Amidst this talk about all the murders, a question popped up in Lisa’s head.
”… Is Adora okay?” Lisa asked.
“… From a certain point of view, yes,” Clementine answered. “She’s alive.”
That sounded weird. Lisa thought to herself, before she asked. ”Why ‘from a certain point of view’?” Lisa tilted her head.
“Look… seeing what happened to you fucked her head up,” Clementine shook her head.
“… She had a front-row seat to it,” Vanessa added. “Hell, all three of us did.”
“But what does this,.. picture have to do with the three of ya’ll coming back?” Asked Clementine.
"It’s… it’s…" Ella tried to explain before Saskia, but she was full on sobbing now, ugly tears streaming down her face. She turned to the side and pulled Lisa into a hug, wailing, "Lisssaaaaaaa."
”You-you are suffocating meeeeeeeeeee!” Lisa said though it was hard to make out what she was saying because her voice was muffled.
"It’s the person we need to kill to come back to life," Saskia said, rolling their eyes at Ella. "This is what I plan to do with him when we get to him."
"He’s… he’s… not a human," Ella sniffed.
"Oh, yeah, he’s an evil bastard," Saskia nodded. "Morningstar. The hound says we have to kill him."
“One, never say this to another Agent,” Clementine began. “I’m not turning any of you in, but the other Agents can and will use everything against you.”
"I’m only saying it because it's you two," Saskia shrugged.
Vanessa nodded as she said, “We heard everything you said from behind that-“ she pointed at the mirror, “-and there’s more than enough to book all three of ya’ll.”
Lisa flailed her arms around.
“And two, what did Agent Stauber have to do with it and why did you try nabbing him?” She asked.
"Oh, that bastard? He’s selling information to the society," Saskia openly said. "We were going to tor- talk to him and get information about Morningstar. Wait. There aren’t people behind that mirror now?"
"Sassskiiiaaa stop it with the torture!" Ella sobbed. "Though he’d deserve it."
“… Yes, that would be wise,” Clementine rolled her eyes. “There is nobody behind the mirror. Stauber has been sent home for the night. So have Agent Chertok, and Agent Gomez.”
“But we always had our suspicions about Stauber…” Clementine mused.
“Don’t get ahead of yourself, Clem,” Vanessa spoke to her twin. “How do you three know about this? Stauber is a bastard, but we need proof.”
"We’d have proof if we weren’t interrupted earlier!" Ella finally stopped crying. "After all the work I put in… All for nothing… I touched his hand! It was gross!"
”… He took her hand-holding-virginity!” Lisa momentarily pulled herself away from Ella, before getting snatched back in. She managed to speak again, except muffled, ”... Not her cuddling virginity!”
"We were told by… friends," Saskia said hesitantly. "I don’t know how they found out. They’ve been helping us since we came back. Supposedly he sends agents after the Society’s targets… which will be us after we get out of here. He’ll definitely put them on our ass."
"I don’t want him on my ass!"
Saskia shrugged. "You could use it to catch him."
”Like a moth to a flame!” Lisa shouted, muffled again
“Look, nobody is going to be on your ass,” Clementine said. “Look, I’m the Regional Commander-“
“Acting Regional Commander,”
“Right,” Clementine said, “Point is, we can make this go away.”
“Within reason,” Vanessa added.
“Yes, within reason,” Clementine answered, “But we need your word you three won’t do anything crazy like this again. I got ties to the very top, but there are things that not even the Director can let slide.”
"Crazy as in attacking the PRA, or just anyone?" Saskia asked. "Because we need to kill Morningstar. And maybe his Endless Seven. Well, six."
"Yeah, otherwise we’ll stay dead!" Ella nodded. "But we won’t attack your agents again!"
“Please don’t,” Vanessa said. “Also, officially you never told me you were killing anyone.”
“Now, let’s get these handcuffs off, and Ella back her channeler-“
“… Am I interrupting something?”
A tear in reality formed behind Clementine as she hopped to her feet. She whipped the pistol out of the holster, aiming it at the massive white creature that came out of the tear. He grinned as he said,
“Hello… I’m here to kill those three,” He pointed a clawed hand at the three behind the two agents. “Stay out of my way, please.”
He laughed.
“Death to all who oppose the Society, after all.”
"Oh shit," Saskia said, handcuffs clattering to the ground and her fingers dangling limply from where she’d broken them all to get out. "We’re screwed."
Like hell we are. Lisa internally seethed as Ella released her and she stared at the freak that was across from them.
”We killed Mala’Boolaan,” Lisa's devious grin formed ear to ear as she stared down a creature that would normally have anyone else running in fear.
The Halloween Festival. The Beach Bar. Cracker Island.
”Hopefully, we won’t be running into each other too much in the near future. But still, I appreciate being able to talk without violence. Thank you for that.”
"Wait, hold-"
Cindy reached out to Stormy as the group left—after some chattering and some mysterious stranger showing up. As they left, Fiona waved Jasper off. However, Cindy couldn't help but shrug as they went, then muttered, "Damn?"
Meifeng deviously grinned as she leaned in and whispered into her ear, "What? Were you trying to get some white boy tonight?" Then laughed.
Cindy rolled her eyes and said out loud, "No... well, not this time. I was trying to give him my number so he could call us if another disaster like last week happened."
Meifeng shrugged.
"We're going to run into them again," Meifeng began. "That is preordained at this point."
"True," Cindy said before she smiled. "But enough about those weirdos. Let's turn up."
"I thought you'd never ask..." Meifeng smiled as she raised a finger to get the bartender's attention. "Heeeeeeeey... Could we get another Pineapple margarita, please?"
"We should have gotten Storm-man to buy us another one before he left," Cindy said, "But nooooo... you had to be all 'I cannot in good conscience.'"
"I probably make four times as much as him," Meifeng laughed. "I just couldn't. Felt like he was trying to show off anyway."
"To whom, though?" Cindy asked.
"You know how some men be, anything with a vagina, probably." She shrugged.
”Hey, Trevor! Isn’t that the girl you went on a date with last week? You should go talk to her!”
Everyone looked at Bianca.
Then everyone looked at Sloane with Anya.
"... Speaking of anything with a vagina," Meifeng muttered as she facepalmed.
"Oooooooh!" Trevor excitedly said as he waved at Anya. "Hey! Hi! How are you doing?! Remember me...?!"
He got off the stool and dramatically removed his helmet, holding it underneath his arm as he twined his hair. He smiled at her and said in his most obnoxious, flirty voice, "Funny how we keep runnin' into each other. It's like fate."
He wagged his eyebrows.
"If I knew you were comin', I'd dress up as a knight... Because I'm your knight in shining armor." He purred.
"T-Trevor... I..." Cindy's mouth was agape, and she was shaking as she attempted to muster out the words. She almost fell out of her chair.
"That boy ain't right..." Samson shook his head.
"... I'm so sorry," Meifeng began, shaking her head. "I mean... Yes, I was the one responsible for it. But I took a good look at your friend there, and I just thought to myself..."
Her eyes widened as she held the straw in her hand.
"... 'She is going to annoy the hell out of me,' so I just thought I'd give you to someone even more annoying - and I don't mean "give you" as I was trying to play matchmaker. I meant it as..."
Saskia slipped one hand in their pocket, fingers curling around their knife, while holding the other one up. "Is that what this looks like? We just wanted to ask him a few questions before letting him go."
"Yeah! We tried to be nice about it!" Ella said, rubbing her arms like there was something nasty on them.
Saskia nodded while considering their options. They could probably take both of them, but Kimberley and Jordan had said to run if they bumped into the PRA… which they presumably were. But Kimberley and Jordan weren't there, they wouldn't know if they slit their throats in a back alley, would they? But for now, she'd stall. "There's no kidnapping, so next question."
“If there’s no kidnapping…” The redheaded one said. “Then please release Agent Stauber.”
“And pleeeeeease take a big step back,” The other Agent said, narrowing his eyes.
“Then, we can talk about these questions you have,” The redheaded Agent said. “We’re all apart of the same organization here. But, I’m senior to Agent Stauber, so whatever you want to ask him… you can ask me.”
"Righhhht," Saskia glanced at Lisa and Ella, then back at the agent. Jordan had said that attacking one PRA agent would get loads more on them… and they already had the whole Society looking for them. They'd just been allowed outside. "Lisa, release him?"
At the same time Saskia stepped back, and grabbed Ella's wrist to pull her back too. She kept her other hand in her pocket for just now.
With a nod of her head, spiders erupted from all the unseen corners of the alleyway, briefly surrounded by a glowing cocoon. When they burst out, they had ant mandibles, quickly tearing apart the webbing around his arms and legs. Then he got up, ripping the web off his face.
"Saskiaaaaa you're making all of my flirting be for nothing," Ella whined, shuddering. "Do you know how difficult it was?!"
"There, there, I understand," Saskia comfortingly patted Ella's upper arm, though the deadpan tone they said it in made it sound incredibly patronising. She then looked at the two agents, deciding to test the waters first. "First question… do you know about the incident that happened at Morningstar Bank a few days ago?"
“... I should have known you were up to something, bitch!” Jacob spat at Ella. “So, let’s cut the bullshit! Get on your knees hands-”
“Agent Stauber,” the red-haired Agent calmly said while raising his hand. “Relax, we got this.”
“You got this?! These bitches tried to kidnap me!” Jacob said.
“I said, relax…” The redheaded Agent said, pushing his sunglasses up his nose before turning to Saskia. “We are not aware.”
“But, I’m certain you can enlighten us,” The other Agent said.
Well, assuming they weren't lying, that told Saskia that they weren't with Morningstar… probably. May. "Well, we heard-"
"Hey! You should feel lucky that even came near you!" Ella pointed at Jacob, seeming to come out of her despair. "We wouldn't have had to if you'd come when I was trying to be nice!"
Saskia sighed, before realising something. They looked at the two other agents. "Who even are you?"
“FBI.” The redheaded agent said.
"Do you think I'm stupid?" Saskia rolled their eyes. "Your names."
“Ah,” the Red-haired Agent said. “I am Senior Agent Dexter Chertok. But, you may call me Rush.”
“And I’m Special Agent Reiquel Gomez.”
Rush nodded, saying, “It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. Though I wish we could have met under different circumstances.”
“Now,” Agent Gomez, “We were attempting to track a lead on a case we had before you three interrupted… So, would you kindly tell me what you three were thinking?”
"Well we were tracking our own lead when you-"
"Elllaaaa," Saskia interrupted, shaking their head. Hopefully she'd get the message and let Saskia do the talking… because she was the only one with half a chance of getting them out of this! "You see, we… heard that he," they pointed to Jacob, "might be able to help us find the crazy people who broke into Morningstar Bank. We're really desperate to find them, for our, uh, boss. But it seems you don't know about it…"
Agent Rush tilted his head downwards as he stared at Saskia.
“I don’t know, crazy bitch,” Jacob said, before he grinned. “But… I heard who broke into Morningstar Banking were three girls…”
Lisa loudly gulped.
“... A tall girl dressed in bright colors…”
However, on the walls of the alleyway, spiders covered the walls behind the three FBI Agents… but in full view of Saskia and Ella. If one of them were to look up, they could see one of Lisa’s cocoons glowing and growing.
“... A short blonde-haired gal…”
They quickly formed the words: GET READY TO RUN. STALL FOR A MINUTE. Then the Spiders dispersed before the agents could see.
“... And a short black female…”
Rush continued staring at them, before he asked, “So, who are the three people you say broke into Morningstar Banking?” He raised an eyebrow.
A minute? Jacob, the fucking asshole, had already outed them as being the ones who'd broke in. Saskia grimaced as she gripped the blade of her knife, letting it cut through the palm of her hand. Just in case.
"Hey, I thought you said you didn't know about it!" Ella jumped in, very aggressively pointing at Jacob. "I think you're just describing our appearances to pin the blame on us!"
"Oh, that's true," Saskia played along, narrowing their eyes at Jacob. "Why would you know when your superiors don't? We heard it was three massive, muscular men who destroyed windows and walls. Do we look like we could do that?"
“Hey now,” Jacob said, raising his hands with a grin. “I don’t discriminate!”
"You clearly don't," Saskia said dryly.
However, that walkie-talkie that Ella had in her pants pocket began buzzing, before they could hear Kimberly’s voice,
“... E-Ella?” Kimberly began. “Is everything okay in there? We haven’t heard from you in a minute.”
Ella laughed nervously, putting a hand in the pocket where the walkie-talkie was. She fumbled around, unable to hide her panic.
“What was that?” Agent Rush asked.
"Oh no, I must've butt dialed my friend again, it always happens!" Ella laughed… even though the walkie talkie was in her front pocket. "Sorry, can I take this?"
“No you may not,” Rush said.
Agent Gomez rolled his eyes, “I’m getting reeeeeeal tired of this.”
"No one's keeping you here," Saskia shrugged. "You two can leave and let us have a nice chat with Agent Stauber."
“I’ve had enough of this,” Rush said, pushing his sunglasses up his nose. “We’re going to talk about this at our field of-”
The cocoon growing above them burst open, and an enormous tarantula emerged (the size of a pickup truck), landing directly in front of the Agents.
”... RUUUUUN!” Lisa shouted as she turned on her heel and hauled ass into the busy street.
"Fuckkkk," Saskia spun around and sprinted after Lisa as fast as they could. At the same time they pulled their hand out of their pocket, blood dripping down and coating her back with a thin shield layer.
"Good riddance!" Ella yelled, following last. She turned around and looked directly at Jacob, hands raising as they turned into blinding lights. "By the way, I'm a lesbiannnnnnnn!"
“... You’re not getting away that easy,” Agent Gomez shouted… as a massive blue hand that seemed to be made out of an aura appeared in front of the trio. It was balled into a fist as Agent Gomez flew out of the alleyway, with a similar wavy blue aura surrounding him as he floated over to the three. “Get on the ground, now!”
"No way!" Ella yelled. She pulled out her sailor moon wand, brandishing it as she went through her magical girl transformation, and her legs were coated in rainbow light. "You won't take me alive!"
”... You can take me alive, though,” Lisa weakly noted. ”I like living.”
"Let's not be that dramatic," Saskia said. She moved the blood on her back into a long tentacle. At the same time she said quietly to Lisa. "Can you give the spider wings?"
”The spider that’s still in the alley-”
As Saskia asked, Ella jumped forward, aiming a glowing foot at Agent Gomez with a high kick. The giant hand blocking them disappeared as he put his hands in an X, creating two glowing arms blocking the kick. “... I guess we’re doing this the hard way.” He swung his leg out for a key, and a glowing leg appeared that shadowed the motion - flying directly at Ella as he blocked.
"Ahhhh," Ella shouted, colour spilling from her bracelets and coating her arms in bright pinks, purples and blues. She blocked the kick with them, getting pushed back.
"Ella!" Saskia shouted, running forward. "Throw the Walkie Talkie to Lisa!"
Saskia pushed themselves in front of Ella to try and cover her, blood tendril shooting forward towards Agent Gomez's shoulder. However, he flew to the left, dodging the attack, as he shot his palm out at Saskia. A glowing hand appeared, flying directly at Saskia’s midsection to knock the wind out of her. Saskia grunted as the hand connected, doubling over. The tendril pulled back and pressed into the ground to stop her falling onto her knees.
”We gotta get out of here!” Lisa shouted as a wave of spiders came out of the unseen crevices of the environment. ”That Spider is - probably - not going to hold them off forever!”
"Call Kimberley, see if they can get us out!" Ella shouted back, pulling out the walkie talkie and throwing it to Lisa. "Otherwise we're trapped! We can hold him off till then!"
”Like hell we are!” Lisa shouted as she tried ti catch the walkie talkie… only for it to smack her in the face and then it fell into her hands.
Ella jumped back to Saskia's side, spinning around with another kick from the left towards Agent Gomez's stomach. At the same time Saskia, panting heavily, steadied herself and swept her blood tendril round to his right to try catch him if he dodged. Agent Gomez caught the leg using his abstraction, however the tendril launched him off and he hit a car.
”Kimberly, come in K-Kimberly!” Lisa shouted into the Walkie-talkie, hunching down under a car.
“What’s going on?! Where are you?!”
”We’re-”
She felt a pistol pressed against the back of her head.
“… Under arrest,” Jacob said.
Rush walked out, cupping his hands together as he shouted, “Stand down! Deactivate your abstractions immediately!”
"Shit!" Saskia swore. Until there was a gun involved, they could probably get out of the situation… but not now. She wasn't going to let Lisa get shot. "Alright, we surrender."
They held up their hands, blood tentacle pulling back across their body and into the open wound on their palm, which then clotted. Ella's legs and arms went back to normal and she also put her hands up in the air, though she still had her channeler in one. And was still dressed like a magical girl.
“You all made the right choice,” Rush said.
"Get your gun away from her!" she yelled at Jacob. "If you're going to hold it up to anyone's head it should be mine!"
“Agent Stauber,” Rush said, turning to him.
“Yeah, yeah…” Jacob took the gun from Lisa’s head and holstered it. However, he pulled some handcuffs out and restrained Lisa.
Agent Gomez walked over to Saskia and cuffed her while Rush cuffed Ella.
“Agent Gomez, grab the car,” Rush said. “We’re going to have a long night.”
The three girls were herded in the questioning room… a white room with a mirror. The window was behind them, a door was to the right. but they were all sat down at a table.
The door opened, and Rush strolled in with a clipboard. “Hello, hello,” He greeted as he sat down. “Need a glass of water?”
"Ohhhh, you're starting with a glass of water," Saskia nodded, face completely expressionless. "Water torture? Or will you put it just outside of our reach?"
"What's with your obsession with torture, Saskia?!" Ella shouted, eyes wide with horror. "I'll take a glass of water as long as there's no torture involved!"
"I was just joking. I'm sure they'll use more sophisticated torture methods."
Rush just stared at them. Expression was completely neutral. He wrote something down in the clipboard.
“… Nobody is getting tortured.”
"Aww…" Saskia sighed.
Lisa sighed in relief while wiping a bead of sweat from her forehead. ”That’s a relief! But I could use some water.”
Rush walked over to the door, knocked on it and said, “Three glasses of water.”
Then sat back down, and asked,
“While we wait for that… Mind telling me what happened?”
Lisa leaned back, putting her hands together on the table, and had a flat expression as she explained her… side of the story. ”Me and my - What did Adora use to say, oh yeah! - homegirls, yeah homegirls wanted a fun night out where we get to touch some tiddies. Because we knew a gal that touched tiddies without permission, and we wanted to be better than that. So we went to a strip club, where you pay to touch tiddies. So, me and my homegirls were… ‘laxin. Then he, Agent Asshole, comes over here came and grabbed mah tiddy, and I was like ‘nooooooo’. So we dragged him outside, then beat his ass.”
"Well you see!" Ella started. "I was visiting the stripclub for the first time, because I rarely get to go outside! I wanted to see what it was all about! I was just enjoying myself, drinking some bud light, when that- what was his name, Josh? - came over to me and started flirting with me! I get that I'm attractive but I'm not interested! I think he thought I was a stripper cause he gave me twenty bucks and all! Then he tripped me up so it would look like I fell into his arms! I was trying to go outside to escape but he followed me, thankfully I was saved by this lovely lady and her spiders! I've definitely never met her before tonight! But she's my new best friend! Also, he touched me without my consent!"
"Nothing important happened," Saskia said, completely deadpan. "I was told there was going to be a four-way orgy including spider web bondage, and I followed them out for that. I guess he changed his mind when he saw us all."
Rush’s jaw dropped.
“I…” He took his glasses off, pinching his nose. “… I don’t get paid enough for this shit.” He mumbled.
He sighed, as he wrote on the clipboard.
“That doesn’t line up with what you three said in the alleyway.”
"Well I wasn't just going to talk about a bondage four-way on a public street, was I?" Saskia looked at him like he was stupid. Obviously she knew it didn't line up, but hopefully if they lied enough they'd just be kicked out. Or jailed and rescued later. She definitely wasn't telling the truth, who knew if this guy also worked for Morningstar? "I also thought it would be embarrassing for your coworker. Don't judge him too much."
"What did I even say in the alleyway?" Ella asked, tilting her head and acting dumb.
“All three of your stories contradict each other…” Rush groaned, as he wrote on the clipboard. The door opened and Agent Gomez had three glasses of water and he slid them on the table in front of the girls. Afterwards he glanced at the clipboard and laughed.
“Classic Rush,” Agent Gomez said. “… You forgot to ask their names.” He laughed as he leaned up against the wall.
“Oh!” Rush said, “Is it my first day on the job?”
“Seems like it,” Agent Gomez shrugged.
“Names please,”
"Ella Brooks!" Ella said cheerfully, grabbing one of the glasses of water and chugging it.
"... Saskia Otten." Saskia said eventually, after weighing up whether they should lie. There probably wouldn't be much information on them anyway. "Spelt S-A-S-K-I-A O-T-T-E-N. Just in case you weren't sure."
”Lisa Celeste Turner!” Lisa said cheerfully as Ella.
Rush wrote down in his pad, before he sighed, “So, Ms. Otten, you mentioned Morningstar Banking earlier, and we found this on you…” He unclipped the, well, clipboard before he pulled a peculiar piece of paper and slid it across the table.
The drawing Saskia showed Kimberly and Jordan.
“… Mind explaining this?”
"Isn't it obvious?" Saskia asked, reaching out for the picture and holding it up. They couldn't use this as evidence against her, could they? It wasn't like she'd killed anyone. Well… not that they could pin on her with this. "It's a drawing of my boss dying a horrible death. Doesn't everyone do that to get out their work-related frustrations? You don't? You should try it sometime, it's quite relaxing. Don't you think it's quite good?"
”Yeah, it’s stress relief! Like our threeway with Agent Stauber!” Lisa shouted with a toothy smile.
”Failed threeway,” Saskia pointed out.
Rush pushed his glasses up his nose.
“… I have more healthy ways to vent my work-related frustrations. Though I guess you’re not hurting anybody.”
He leaned forward, putting his hands together. “All three of you are looking at jail for a long time-“
The door shot open.
Two tall, African-American women in suits stepped through. Both of them looked identical, like clones. One of them tapped Rush on the shoulder and said, “We’ll take it from here.”
“But-“
“Take the rest of the night off,” She said. Rush and Agent Gomez nodded before they left. The two women sat across from the three, and stared at them,
“… What did you three say your names were?”
"WHOA, are you guys twins?!" Ella yelled, standing up in shock. Then immediately sitting back down again when Saskia hit her thigh lightly. "Whoaaa… "
”Sorry about her,” Saskia rolled their eyes while putting their drawing back in their pocket. She then pointed to herself and her friends in turn. ”Saskia Otten, Ella Brookes, Lisa Turner. Did my drawing traumatise them so much they needed a night off? Maybe they should look for another job…”
The woman was silent and stony-faced.
“… What are your names? I do not believe you.”
”Saskia Otten, Ella Brookes and Lisa Turner.” Saskia repeated… before realising something. ”Ah. Is it because we're dead?”
"WHATTTT?!" Ella shouted. "Oh wait, yeah. That's right."
“No, those girls are dead,” The Agent jammed a finger on the table. “On paper, they are missing, but I know the truth.”
”That we all died fighting the Stygian Snake ten years ago?” Saskia said, not bothering to hide it. If they would even believe it. ”Those girls are us. Dying is really shit.”
"Yeah, there's no other amazing magical girl called Ella Brooks in the world!" Ella declared.
The Agent pointed at Saskia,
“… You bled to death…”
She pointed at Ella,
“… You got mobbed by Apparitions…”
Then she pointed at Lisa,
“… And you… you…”
She massaged her temples,
“… Got ripped apart in front of us.”
”... Huh?” Saskia tilted her head, squinting her eyes to try and recognise them. But it had been ten years. Ten years changed people a lot, them included. ”That's all correct.”
"Yeah," Ella shuddered, holding her arms. "Feels like it was only yesterday."
”... In a way, it was yesterday,” Lisa awkwardly chuckled as she tugged her collar.
”It practically was,” Saskia frowned, looking away. As much as she faked nonchalance, she didn't like being reminded of her death… or Ella's. She absentmindedly touched the clotted wound on her hand from earlier, scratching it until it started slowly leaking blood. ”Who are you?”
“We are…”
The Agent cleared her throat before she looked at her twin.
“… Vanessa and Clementine Washington,”
Lisa’s jaw dropped. Ella slammed her hands on the table and shot to her feet. Saskia's eyes widened.
Lisa moaned, leaning against the rooftop’s edge as they watched the club from the rooftops: Shadynasty's. They could hear the music playing as various faces were gathered outside the strip club, and none looked adorable. Lisa was leaning up against the parapet, on her hands and knees, but her elbows were up on the parapet. She was petting a black widow spider with one finger and her other arm on the parapet, looking bored to tears.
“No, we have to wait for this asshole to show up…” Jordan said with a roll of her eyes; she was standing with one foot on the parapet, looking through some binoculars.
“Look for a black Dodge Charger with tinted windows,” Kimberly said, leaning against an AC unit.
“Because, of course, he drives a Dodge Charger,” Jordan rolled her eyes again.
”Buuuutttt shouldn’t we be in there already? To prepare?” Ella asked, just straight up lying on the roof, looking just as bored as Lisa. But she also didn’t want to be near her black widow spider- so she’d lain down, legs and arms spread out in a starfish shape. Her arms were once again covered in colourful bracelets which definitely wouldn’t look out of place in a strip club. ”Otherwise it’ll looook like we’re folllooowwing him.”
“Oh no,” Jordan laughed. “The second we see him, ya’ll getting teleported inside.”
“None of ya’ll seem very thrilled to be inside anyway,” Kimberly shrugged. “So, we figured we’d stay out here until we spot him.”
”Speak for yourself!” Lisa laughed.
Saskia rolled their eyes at them both. They knelt beside Lisa, alternating between looking over the parapet and watching the black widow spider. ”What if he doesn’t come tonight?”
“Then we’ll just scope the place out another night,” Jordan shrugged. “Did the Hound give you a time limit?” She briefly turned towards Ella and asked her.
”He didn’t,” Ella sighed, rolling over and propping herself up on one arm. As far as she was aware, they didn’t. ”Buttttt it’s so boring being stuck in the hostel! And we can’t leave this city till we’re done!”
”I meeeeeeeeeeeeean…” Lisa trailed off. ”He never said we couldn’t leave the city; he just said he would ‘know if we ran’.” She finger-quoted, then shook her head.
”Which can mean a lot of things - oh! Does anyone want to try gambling when we’re done?!” Lisa asked.
”Oh, yeah, that sounds like great fun! Kinda like the gacha machines you get in Japan, where you get a random piece of merch, I’ve always wanted to try that-” Ella started rambling. ”But with money!”
”It’s nothing like that.” Saskia rolled their eyes. ”But I’m in.”
“I mean, I would say you three are the last mothafuckas’ that should be gambling but…” Jordan said while looking down the binoculars. “... You three desperately need to go outside. Experience some real world. Hell, I’ll front ya’ll some gambling money...”
”Really?!” Lisa asked.
“Yeah, really… oh wait,” Jordan realized. “Ya’ll don’t have IDs….”
”Nope!” Ella said cheerfully. ”We died at sixteen, why would we have IDs- wait, we can legally drink!”
“I mean, I think you can get a driver’s license at 16 in most states,” Kimberly shrugged.
”Well we didn’t,” Lisa shrugged.
”You don’t need it to watch anime,” Ella added.
“Well, without an ID you actually can’t legally drink,” Jordan noted. “And again, I don’t think ya’ll should be drinking willy nilly… sounds like a recipe for disaster.”
”Hey! We fought a Demon-Snake-God-Thing,” Lisa shouted, looking over her shoulder.
“I meeeeeeeean,” Kimberly said. “Maybe some time, when we got time, we can buy some drinks. Mix just a little bit with some soda or juice, and then they can try some. How’s that sound?” She asked them.
”Ohhh that does sound better than drinking around a loada men!” Ella grinned.
”You know, Adora never wanted me to drink…” Lisa mused. ”... For some reason.”
“Probably for a reason, yo!” Jordan laughed.
”Well, I mean I tried it but it tasted funny,” Lisa began. ”I don’t get why the other kids drunk so much - especially out the Chalice - like does that thing disinfect itself? Or did we all just pass around herpes or something?” She scratched her head.
“You mean like THE Chalice?” Kimberly raised an eyebrow.
"Well yeah, is there another Chalice?" Ella tilted her head in confusion.
"I always assumed Sully named it himself," Saskia said. "If the chalice is one that can create any liquid, then yes."
“Yes, I’m talking about that Chalice,” Kimberly confirmed. “I’m astonished that the Chalice fell into your hands. Just how many artifacts did ya’ll have?”
”Well…” Lisa trailed off, putting a finger on her chin. ”We got a ton! First that comes to mind is my best friend Adora! She’s like the greatest person in the world! But, her grandfather gave her the Trinity Rings when he died and she gave it to her friend!”
“... The goddamn Trinity Rings?” Kimberly tilted her head. “Okay, that’s two valuable artifacts you all just stumbled upon. What else?”
”We had plenty! I know off the top of my head is Amy and her kanabō, I think she said she had three Onis sealed inside of it. I’m not sure if it was legendary or anything,” Lisa rubbed her chin before a sinister grin crept across her face. ”I remember Ella nerding over it all the time! Amy would always cringe every time she saw Ella!”
"It was super cool I couldn't help it!" Ella whined. "It was like right outta an anime!"
”She walked out every time you came in the room!” Lisa shouted.
Ella pouted. She did, but it wasn’t Ella’s fault that she was interested and just couldn’t stop asking questions… Amy never told her it bothered her; she just started ignoring her!
“Okay, well, I think she had one of the Oni-Clubs or Demon Kanabōs, and unlike the Trinity Rings and the Chalice, there were several of them, so they were sort of mass-produced,” Kimberly explained. “Typically, they don’t leave Japan, but I guess it’s possible a few ended up in America.” She shrugged.
“What else?”
”Oh! Then there was my good friend Gretchen! Though, she hated when I called her Gretchen, she was always like-” Lisa pinced her nose and made her best impression of Greta’s famously high-pitched and nasally voice. ”-’Don’t call me that! It makes me sound like an old lady!’ But now that I think about it, Gretchen always kind of acted like an ol-”
“... What. Did. Gretchen. Have?” Jordan pinched the bridge of her nose.
”Oh! She had the coolest artifact! The Alchemist Ring! It was like the most valuable artifact we had! She could make potions; she gave out a bunch of healing potions that saved so many people. I helped her out a lot by using my spiders to gather her stuff and help her make potions. She was always shy and never talked, but she was sooooooo cute, and lovely and… I hope she made it.” Lisa awkwardly laughed as she twiddled her thumbs.
“... Three legendary artifacts. Anything else that comes to mind?”
Ella really hoped nothing else came to mind, because she was bored to death listening to Lisa list every single artifact that had been in the coven. Big deal! She could fight half of them with her fists. She groaned and lay back down on the ground.
”Oh, there was Reza! He had this cooooool sword called the Noble Vow, I don’t know much about him but he was really cool and nice,” Lisa explained. ”Far as I know, he always had the sword, but he cleaved the Stygian’s Snake’s minions apart like they were nothing. And I am looking forward to seeing him again when we get back.” She smiled like a fool.
“... Four,” Kimberly logged. “Go on.”
”Well, they also got this thing called the Bull’s Ring that our friend Kari found - oh yeah, and they got this sword called the Apparition Killer! I’m not sure what the App-Killer does, but when Daisy - one of the leaders of the Coven she was kind of an asshole though - put on the ring she almost fried the Stygian Snake!” Lisa excitedly said, before her tone changed. Her face dropped, and her smile turned into a frown. She shook her head.
“Everything good?” Kimberly asked.
”Y-yeah… I’m good…” Lisa shook her head.
“Well, that’s six,” Kimberly trailed off, then faced Jordan. “We really need to pay St. Portwell - and this Coven - a visit when this blows over.”
“Agreed,”
“But go on,” Kimberly said.
”There was the third-in-command of the Coven, Auri Auclair, she had this thing called the Butterfly Staff,” Lisa began, her demeanor reverted to usual, all smiles and laughter. ”It was so beautiful to see all the butterflies fly everywhere.”
“For once,” Kimberly shrugged. “I never heard of that. So, I guess we’re still at six legendary artifacts. Go on.”
”There was Auri’s sister, Paige,” Lisa rubbed the back of her neck. ”She was weird if you asked me.”
“The pot calling the kettle black,” Jordan laughed.
”She had this shield called the Shield of Vitality… it was this huuuuuuge shield-” Lisa stuck her hands out to accentuate how large of an object it was. ”That tanked attacks from the Stygian Snake and healed people… but again, she was kind of weird. Never liked her, hehe...”
“Fair,” Kimberly shrugged. “I wouldn’t say that’s legendary but I heard about the shield of vitality.”
”Oh! Oh! Oh! How could I forget my friend Sloane!” Lisa laughed as ”I mean, nobody liked her, but I always thought that she was soooo misunderstood. But she had a cool thing: she could make her versions of artifacts. She made a copy of everything we had! I think…”
"They were like, evil copies," Saskia pointed out. "Like one that stopped you from lying."
”I mean, I wouldn’t call them evil but…” Lisa scratched the side of her head, ”What would happen if one of the bad guys got their hands on it? Like someone like Morningstar?”
Ella’s head shot up, eyes wide. "It wouldn’t be good if that evil bastard got them!"
”Well, it's a good thing Sloane is probably keeping them all safe in her vault or something!” Lisa shouted. ”Where nobody bad is doing anything to them.”
Both Kimberly and Jordan exchanged glances.
“Oh, we definitely gotta’ pay her a visit,” Jordan laughed.
“Well, are there any other all-powerful artifacts literal children just fell into?”
”Well…” “... Hey wait!” Jordan interrupted as she turned towards the rest of the group. “He’s here!”
Lisa raised her head and saw a Dodge Charger pull into the parking lot… quickly, a an average heighted man lit a cigarette and walked into Shadynasty’s after adjusting his leather coat. Lisa pointed at him from the roof, looking back at the group, ”Oooooh! Is that him?!” She asked.
”Oh, is it?” Ella properly sat up, shuffling over to next to Lisa and looking down at the street.
“Yes, that’s him,” Jordan affirmed with a nod. “You three, gather ‘round, and remember the plan.”
”... What is the plan?” Lisa asked.
”Seduce him, take him out the back and slit-” Saskia cut herself off. ”Get information out of him.”
”That’s not much of a plan…” Ella frowned, still not feeling happy about it. She didn’t want to be around men grossly looking at attractive women. Not at all! ”How do we do that?”
Jordan facepalmed.
“Girl, I hate to be blunt,” Jordan began, “But you have a coochie. Men aren’t that complex. Just be nice to him. It’s literally that simple.”
”Look, she’s never liked someone that’s real,” Saskia explained, shrugging.
”Yeah, she never held a hand before!” Lisa laughed.
”Yeah! Why would I, when anime girls are right there!” Ella declared. ”But if it’s just being nice… that's easy.”
”Very easy…” Saskia said with a dangerous glint in their eyes.
”Too easy…” Lisa said with a grin.
“Alright, bunch up,” Jordan said as a Coral-pink sphere wrapped around them.
“Wait!” Kimberly shouted, “Don’t forget!”
She ran over and shoved a walkie talkie into Ella’s hands, then stuck a finger up, “Use it sparingly. We’re going to be keeping watch from out here.”
Lisa nodded her head.
“We’re counting on ya’ll,” Jordan said. “Don’t do anything crazy…”
Then she and Kimberly looked at each other before Jordan said,
“... Okay, nothing too crazy.”
“Byeeeeee!” Kimberly waved them goodbye before they disappeared in a flash of Coral-Pink magic.
They appeared in the least conspicuous spot for three people to pop out of thin air.
The bathroom.
It was the handicapped stall, which had a sink and a toilet. The stall door was left slightly ajar, so Lisa quickly ran over and pushed it closed. They could hear the music much more now.
”... I hope this isn’t the men’s bathroom,” Lisa mused out loud.
"If it is, you should use your spider summoning on Jordan," Saskia said ominously, but with a hint of discomfort in her eyes.
”Sure thing!” Lisa said with a toothy smile.
"I'm sure it isn't!" Ella stuffed the walkie talkie in the pocket of her bright pink trousers. She moved over to the door and tried to listen out through it… but it was hard to hear anything with the music. She turned back around to Lisa and Saskia, hands on her hips. "Alright, what's the plan? We can't just burst in there-"
"I already said go in, seduce him, lure him outside, torture him," Saskia intoned. "Why are you trying to plan, Ella? You're just stalling, aren't you?"
"Noooo… fine! Let's just go out there!"
”Hold on!” Lisa raised the back of her shirt, and spider legs came out. She put them against the walls (of the bathroom itself and the stall). She raised herself off the ground and looked over the stall. She then whispered, ”There’s like three people in here! All women! So no spiders in Jordan’s draws!”
She paused for a moment as she lowered herself back to the ground. ”Well, not unless she wants them.”
Ella let out a sigh of relief. She wouldn’t need to deal with any creepy men, yet! She did a quick check to make sure she had her channeller in her pocket, just in case - yup! The walkie talkie was accessible too. She steeled herself for what was to come. But the three of them could handle it!
"Alright, let’s go get whatshisface, and get outta here!" Ella shouted, a little too loud, and threw a fist in the air. Without waiting she barrelled right through the stall door and into the bathroom itself… grabbing both Saskia and Lisa’s hands on the way to drag them out with her.
"Slow down," Saskia complained as Ella started to drag them towards the bathroom exit.
”... Isn’t this what they were talking about?!” Lisa’s eyes met with the bewildered strippers who watched them get pulled out of a bathroom stall. One that was empty just minutes ago. They were pulled into the main room, and were probably assaulted by red. There was already a white girl dancing on stage, already naked.
”... There he is!” Lisa whispered (more loudly than she probably intended), and pointed at Jacob Stauber. Who was sitting at the bar, watching the girl shake ass with a beer in his hand. ”Okay, um… let’s come up with a plan… because I don’t think ‘Come outside so we can kidnap you’ would work.”
Ella was full on, openly staring at the girl on stage, eyes wide. It was hard not to! She was naked and attractive and Ella had only ever seen naked fictional- Not the time! "Alright, I have an idea. You see in this anime-"
"No way," Saskia cut her off, eyes narrowing. "The last time you came up with a plan from an anime we ended up chased out of a bank. I think…"
They trailed off, grimacing. "We probably need to pretend to be strippers. Or at least interested in him."
Ella shuddered. "But won’t it be weird if it’s all three of us? But none of us should go alone- Ahhh, what do you think, Lisa?"
Lisa stuck her arms out and looked down at the plain T-shirt, some black jeans, and some New Balance sneakers (because, thank God, Kimberly bought her something to wear other than those boots).
”... Do we look like strippers?”
Then she tensed up for a moment as her eyes shot open.
”... We also don’t have any money!”
"You’re right." Saskia looked down at their own outfit - an oversized grey sweater tucked into black cargo pants. "We can’t even pay off any strippers to help- Do people even ‘hook up’ in stripclubs with people who aren’t strippers?"
They then looked at Ella. "I hate to say it but… you’re probably the best dressed for it. But honestly, I think we’re screwed."
"Whhaattt?" Ella shook her head. Sure, she looked super duper cute in the bright pink jeans and strawberry themed crop top she was wearing, with a little bit of her waist showing, but! It wasn’t for seduction! Well, it wasn’t as boring as the other two… "You want me to go over there, Saskia? Me?"
”I mean…” Lisa trailed off. ”I won’t be too far away - and neither will my spiders!”
She gave Ella a toothy grin.
”So, just say hi, and give him the flirty eye, then I don’t know…” Lisa shrugged. ”Rub on his leg or something. We just need him outside.”
Ella looked at Lisa, then at Saskia who just shrugged, and then back at Lisa. It seemed she didn’t have a choice. Which was fine! She’d sacrifice herself so that her friends didn’t have to. "Alright, I’ll do it. I’ll get him outside.”
Before she went over, Ella held her hands to her chest and closed her eyes, before murmuring, "Sailor Soldiers please protect me."
She then steeled herself, and made her way towards the bar. She had no idea how to ‘give him the flirty eye’ like Lisa suggested, she didn’t even know what that was. Just start with speaking to him, but how did she do that without it looking weird? Did that even matter-
"Ahhh-" Ella was so in her own head that she tripped over her own feet as she got near the bar. But fate was kind! It sent her falling right towards Jacob Stauber, and she caught herself with a hand on his shoulder and her chest lightly pressing against his back. "Oh, I’m so sorry."
She inadvertently batted her eyelashes at him while panickedly blinking.
He caught her with his free hand, and said, “It’s all good, relax, relax, I’m not going to bite your head off for a simple mistake.” He helped her to her feet.
"Thank you," Ella laughed nervously, resisting the urge to run the instant his hand came anywhere near her- even though he was actually just helping her up! Alright think, Ella, think… How did anime girls get the male love interests in all the shows she’d watched? Well, normally it took episodes and they would accidentally touch and then look away and blush and- No! That wouldn’t work! Quick, think!
"Maybe it wasn’t a mistake but… fate," she smiled, finally managing to get out a cringy as fuck line. She leaned in past him as if going to the bar - but she couldn’t actually get anything to drink - so that she was also close to him. Her skin crawled, but she ignored it. For the mission! She tried to make her smile and gaze more flirty (but she really had no idea what she was doing). "Falling into someone so… handsome."
Jacob grinned as he said, “Heh, I don’t believe in fate, but… this?” He laughed. “It’s a happy accident.”
He turned around to face the bar as he said, “Can I buy you a drink?”
"Of course," Ella said, though she didn’t plan to touch any drink in here and also didn’t have ID- but they probably wouldn’t check it if he bought it right? That would kind of ruin the plan and she seemed to be getting somewhere. Get a drink, pretend to drink it, ask him to go outside- perfect. "I’ll have… whatever you’re having."
He held his bud light in the air, raised an eyebrow and incredulously laughed. “You? Drinking this?” He shook the bottle of beer. “Foooor real? I see you drinking those fruity drinks?”
"Well…" Ella laughed, cheeks heating up from the sheer embarrassment of trying to fumble her way through a normie conversation and failing at the simplest of hurdles! A fruity drink definitely seemed more up her alley but she had absolutely no idea about alcohol so that would only drag things out. Just fake it till you make it, Ella! "Don’t judge a book by its cover… I enjoy drinking both. You’d be surprised by all the things I do that don’t match how I look."
She winked, because it seemed appropriate, even though she was really talking about all the apparitions she killed- but he’d probably take it some other way!
“Alright then!” Jacob laughed as he turned around to the bartender and shouted, “Can I get another bud light!”
“You got it, sweetie!” the bartender responded. After popping the top, he quickly handed him another bottle and grinned as he held it out for Ella to take.
“... So, you gonna take it?”
Was that a trick question? No, no, don’t try to understand them, Ella… "Why wouldn’t I?"
Going with what seemed like a safe answer, Ella reached out for the bottle. She forced herself to let her fingers brush against his, rather than completely avoiding any touch, as she took it from him. It wasn’t quite the leg rub Lisa had suggested, but just that had her feeling a little sick! She took a tiny sip of it, just about managing not to grimace at the disgusting taste that didn’t help with her nausea. Okay, what to say, what to do…
"Thanks, hopefully, my company is good enough for the drink." Oh sailor moon did that make her sound so boring.
“Don’t worry,” Jacob said with a smile. “So… what brings you here? You don’t look like the type that hits up spots like this?”
"Oh, how could you tell?" Ella laughed, trying not to freak out. Was it that obvious?! Of course it was obvious! She couldn’t exactly tell him that she was here to lure him outside so her and her magical girl friends could torture him for information! Just keep faking it, she could do that, she’d learned from the best - anime about normal people. "I was just looking for some fun after being stuck inside for a few days. Forcing myself out of my comfort zone for a good night!"
“Yeah I was about to say the arcade is down the street!” Jacob laughed. “So, I guess your comfort zone doesn’t involve watching girls shake ass to pay their way through college?” He then laughed obnoxiously.
"Not normally," Ella smiled, glad that she was a naturally smiley person because she really didn't feel like smiling at him. She'd actually much rather just be watching 'girls shake ass' than talking to him. She twirled one finger in a pink braid, half a distraction for herself and half an attempted flirting tactic. "But I'm glad I came, otherwise I wouldn't have fallen into and met you."
“Hehe, me too-”
“... Sapphire is coming off the stage, now Neon is taking the stage!”
She walked over to the pole with a smile on her face, as she swayed her hips from left to right.
Jacob grinned before he dug into his pocket as he said, “Thank you for the company, but I got business to attend to… ”He pulled out a twenty… he handed it to Ella as he said, “Buy yourself a drink and get the fuck out of here. Trust me. It’s about to get ugly.”
He then stormed off towards the stage.
Shit! Ella couldn't let this all be for nothing, the inane normie conversation she'd had to suffer through- when would they get another chance?! No way was she letting him go. Desperate times called for desperate measures. Maybe she was also saving a strippers life with this?
Thinking fast, Ella followed after Jacob (pocketing the twenty first) before literally launching herself at him. At the same time she absorbed the bright pink of one of her rings, ignoring the burning in her chest at doing it without touching her channeler, increasing her physical strength. She wrapped her arms around him and pressed herself against his back, trying her hardest not to throw up. She had to do this! Seduce him or physically drag him out, she didn't care which! "Surely your business can wait?"
Jacob froze, before he craned his head over his shoulder at Ella.
“Wish it could,” Jacob said. “But, I got business to settle here....”
He attempted to pull himself free and continue towards the stage.
Lisa had ran to the corner of Ella’s peripheral, and waved her hands back and forth in some attempt to get her attention. Once she got Ella’s attention, she put her hands together as spiders came from underneath her t-shirt. They quickly formed web in between Lisa’s hands, that spelled out the letters…
NEED HELP?!
"Don't be like that…" Ella said. Unfortunately for Jacob, she was fairly strong without magic and with the strength enhancement it wasn't so easy for him to get out of her grip. She absorbed the colour from an earring, wincing at the burn and gaining more strength. It was more difficult fighting down the urge to let go, skin crawling this close- maybe if she imagined him as someone else! She couldn't imagine him as a woman, so she superimposed Tuxedo Mask's face over his so she felt slightly less disgusted while catching Lisa's message behind him.
She nodded fervently, while saying, "I promise it'll be much more worth your while…"
“Hey, what the hell? Let go of me!” Jacob tried to fight himself free… while Lisa ran over to Jacob, briefly raising the back of her shirt as spider legs erupted from her back, launching her forward towards Jacob before they shrunk back into her back. She got into the pose as if performing a flying kick and let out a quiet little.
“... Hiyah!”
That was drowned out by the strip club as her leg connected with the side of Jacob’s head… and then she fell and hit the floor, leaving a tiny foot-shaped print on the side of his head.
“ARGH! What the hell?!” Jacob shouted, as that didn’t have the effect he wanted, he kept thrashing back and forth.
"Oh my gosh, who is that crazy chick, let's get you somewhere safe before she tries again!" Ella gasped, regretting asking for Lisa's help. She could've knocked him out much more easily herself! But now the element of surprise was gone! She absorbed the colour of another earring, painful burns creeping out from underneath her crop top which she ignored. She then started trying to forcefully drag Jacob towards what she hoped was a way out.
Out of the corner of the eye she spotted Saskia face palming where Lisa had come from, before beginning to make their way over to help her up.
“No, let go of me right now!” Jacob shouted. “I’m starting to think you’re with her people.”
Lisa crawled to her feet, looked at Ella and Jacob, and shrugged. Out of the hidden crevices of her T-shirt, a wave of spiders was summoned, quickly traveling from herself to Jack. Then, the spiders quickly weaved a web that covered his mouth… before going into his clothes and disappearing. Lisa ran over to Ella and tapped her on the thigh and said, ”To your left! An exit! Let’s go!”
"Got it!" With an unnatural strength, Ella half lifted Jacob and dragged him towards the exit. It wasn't easy carrying a grown man, but thankfully she'd boosted her strength a little bit! "Sorry about this, but you made this all harder on yourself!"
Saskia chuckled as she ran past them. She opened the exit door first for Ella, who didn't have any hands free, to yank him outside. They managed to drag him out to the alleyway behind Shadynasty’s, and Lisa commanded more spiders to bind him up. Ella finally let go of him and stepped away, shuddering.

Unveiling two weeks of hard ass work, the Drake spell rework
Abstraction ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ "I'll fry Father Wolf alive."
TYPE ⫻ Adept.
ABSTRACTION ⫻Red & Purple Lux. Channeler: Adam's memorial and wedding rings.
ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION ⫻ Drake learned that he, at a young age, had an affinity towards lightning and electricity from his late father, Adam Blackmore - it was a favored element from Drake. Through exploring this affinity, Drake developed a series of spells and became famous in the Old Coven. Despite it all, Drake is a very seasoned and well-trained Adept due to his constant personal training, being trained by his father in his youth, and developing new spells to assist with his vigilante work. Drake has four different "spell groups" or disciplines for himself: The "Electric-Arsenal," in which Drakes crafts semi-solid weaponry out of electricity and The "Lightning-God," a collection of different electricity-based spells, The "Son of Adam," which are spells his father taught him and other spells shared between the Blackmore siblings, and finally, The "Dragon," which are pyromancery and ash-based spells. Drake is more in tune with the Red Lux, almost entirely neglecting his Purple Lux, which he uses vary sparingly. However, he is gradually learning to work it into his Spellbook.
THE ELECTRIC-ARSENAL ⫻ Drake's primary offensive weapon that he has tweaked and fine-tuned through a lifetime of practice, training, and necessity. Through Drake's near-mastery of the electrified realm, he has made himself a scary arsenal of semi-solid weapons. Known as the Lightning-Arsenal, he has a variety of different weapons, each one crackling with untamed energy, much like Drake, and ready to unleash hell upon his enemies. These spells are almost exclusively Red-Lux, but Drake is diving into Purple-Lux to incorporate Time and Movement Magic to enhance this discipline. Drake can only create one type of electric weapon at a time and typically cannot create more than two.
Voltblade ⫻ A longsword crackling with arcs of electricity. Its blade pulses with a vibrant electric glow. Upon contact, it can deliver devastating shocks and wounds to enemies. His Purple Lux enhances its electrified edge, allowing Drake to strike with lightning-fast precision and overwhelm his enemies with a flurry of electrifying blows. Drake can create two Voltblades at a time, one for each hand.
The Voltbuster ⫻ An enhanced version of the Voltblade, a colossal weapon crackling with torrents of electricity, designed to unleash devastating blows and electrifying shocks upon whichever poor bastard gets hit by it. It is enormous, about three times the length of Drake's body, and isn't as sharp as the Voltblade. However, it's more of a powerful siege tool that hits with far more force than the Voltblade and far more electricity behind it. Drake can only create one Voltbuster at a time.
Battle-Axe ⫻ A small, double-edged battle axe that pulses with waves of electrifying energy. Its compact size and lightweight design make it ideal for swift maneuvers. At the same time, its electrified edge delivers powerful shocks that immobilize and incapacitate enemies with each impact. Drake can only create two axes at a time.
Thunderguard ⫻ A round shield enveloped in an aura of crackling electrical energy to protect against attack while electrifying any poor schmuck who touches it. When wielded by Drake, the Thunderguard forms a barrier of electricity in one of his hands. Its electrified surface can unleash explosive energy, launching a shockwave of electrical force that will send anyone nearby flying. Drake can only create one Thunderguard at a time, but he can also create a weapon, such as a Voltblade or Battleaxe, to use in his other hand.
Electric-Flail ⫻ A flail composed of electrified chains crackling with lightning sparks, ending in a spiked ball that emits electricity. Its flexible chains can deliver electrifying strikes that leave the poor bastard who gets hit by it wishing their mother used the coat hanger. With one swing, it becomes a whirlwind of electrified devastation! Drake can only create one at a time.
Stormbreaker ⫻ A massive Warhammer with a heavy head that crackles with lightning. While heavy and unwieldy, it allows Drake to crush his foes and send out powerful shockwaves of electricity. It's the perfect weapon for ignoring defenses and shattering defenses. Drake can only create one at a time.
Thunder-Lance ⫻ A formidable and massive lance with a long shaft is pulsating with electricity with a razor-sharp tip that'll impale foes. The Thunder-Lance is ridiculously long, three times the length of Drake's body, and can be used as a thrusting instrument or a slashing one (Somehow, don't ask questions). It's one of Drake's favored weapons. Drake can only create one at a time.
The Long-Hard Blackmore Stick ⫻ The Long-Hard Blackmore Stick is a simple staff weapon that Drake primarily developed to indicate that he has a weapon named... The Long-Hard Blackmore Stick. It's a simple staff created like the rest of the Lightning Arsenal that is lightweight and meant for quick engagements and keeping foes at a distance.
Thunderstruck ⫻ Thunderstruck is a bow and arrow set designed to unleash electrifying arrows upon Drake's enemies from a distance. It is massive, longer than Drake's entire body, and can unleash shocking arrows rapidly using both Red and Purple Lux. Drake can only create one at a time.
Halbread ⫻ Another weapon with a long, pulsating shaft (Drake asserts he's not gay) that cackles with electricity. The Halbread versatile weapon allows him to deliver sweeping strikes and electrifying thrusts that cleave through enemies with lethal precision. The Thunder Halberd's reach and versatility make it ideal for engaging enemies at a distance and incapacitating them with electrifying force. It was Drake's favored weapon. Drake can only create one at a time.
The Electric-Guitar ⫻ Created in collaboration with his sister, Amanda, and inspired by Sylvia Cruz and Simone Le Fay (sort of). As the name implies, it's a guitar made of lightning! It looks like a spiky electric guitar but is primarily used as a blunt instrument. However, it has a unique magical attribution: Drake can create special sound blasts to launch the opponent black by playing on the riffs. Drake can only create one at a time.
The Two-Headed-Monster ⫻ Linqian created a dildo made out of lightning! A young Drake Blackmore had no choice but to one-up her by not only creating his version of the Lightning Dildo but a three-headed one. In contrast, Drake can only create one at a time but should create zero Two-Headed Monsters.
The Future? ⫻ Who knows what the future may bring? Drake feels like his Electric Arsenal is redundant and needs updating. Drake is working on merging the Electric Arsenal with his Lightning-God discipline, so maybe eventually, he could learn tricks as such as telekinetically manipulating his weapons, creating hundreds, and more.
LIGHTNING-GOD ⫻ The secondary spells that Drake used as an offensive weapon, but less cohesive than his Electric Arsenal. The Lightning God discipline is a collection of lightning-themed spells that do not fall under the Electric Arsenal. It's technically the first discipline that Drake developed, but at the same time it is incomplete, as he quickly abandoned the discipline to focus on the Electric-Arsenal. The Lightning-God is Red-Lux, but it's the discipline in which he uses Purple-Lux the most (other than The Son of Adam).
Zeus's Lightning ⫻ This Spells channels Drake's inner-Zeus, the cool, lightning-chucking, All-Father and not the God that fucked a cow one time. This spell allows Drake to create and physically hurl bolts of lightning at his enemies. With a commanding gesture, Drake summons a lightning bolt from the sky and shapes them into a javelin-like projectile. He can control how fast (or how slow) they can go, but at the top speeds they can travel at blinding speeds.
Electric-Aura ⫻ Or the "fuck off" aura, one of the first spells that Drake had developed. By channeling his mastery over lightning magic, Drake can generate a shimmering field of blue-white crackling electricity surrounding his body and anything he touches. While this is active, it provides no defense or enhancements beyond making it foolish to touch him and enhance his physical strikes. He can make a partial-field or one that fully envelopes him.
Thunderbolt ⫻ Thunderbolt is a spell that unleashes a concentrated blast of lightning from Drake's fingertips, one that he can charge to be more devastating. By focusing and channeling the power of thunderstorms itself, Drake charges a powerful bolt of lightning out of his fingertips. One that, if appropriately charged, can electrify and stagger even the most potent Paranormal-Beings. However, he must be immobile while charging it.
Flight ⫻ is one of Drake's first developed spells and one of the few spells that almost exclusively channels Purple-Lux. Flight allows Drake to defy gravity and soar through the air, leaving behind a trail of lightning as he flies. Drake can levitate and propel himself through the air at incredible speeds, traversing vast distances and easily evading enemy attacks.
Ride the Lightning ⫻ One of Drake's "ultimate weapons" to use in his "fight against evil" and bringing peace to St. Portwell. Using a mixture of Purple and Red Lux, Drake charges forward by surrounding himself in a solid-orb of electrical energy. With this spell, he can gravely injure some of the strongest Paranormal-Beings out there.
Works in progress ⫻ Since Drake is working on developing the Lightning-God discipline further, Drake has developed some more spells that primarily utilize his Purple-Lux.
Thunderstep ⫻ Drake has attempted to harness the power of lightning to facilitate a form of teleportation teleportation. However, the results are less than reliable. When activated, Drake vanishes from one location in a blinding lightning bolt... but he hasn't worked out the kinks yet and can't control its destination. So far, Drake has ended up on top of trees, the sky, and the ocean - thankfully, he can't teleport inside the solid objects. So, the spell's erratic nature and lack of control make it practically useless, which frustrates Drake. Nonetheless, he continues experimenting and refining the Lightning Step to unlock its full potential.
Arc Lightning Field ⫻ The Arc Lightning Field is an experimental spell that Drake is developing, utilizing both Purple & Red Lux for a devastating combination. Drake creates a box that slows down the movement of anything within that lacks an Emotional-Field by using his Purple Lux while ravaging the poor sucker inside with erratic lightning. The intention is to make one large enough to cover several city blocks and bypass Emotional-Fields; however, since it's in the testing phase, it is precarious and unreliable. He can hardly create the field half the time; if he can, it will only last for a few moments before it falls apart and dissipates.
Electromancy ⫻ The pinnacle and end-all-be-all for Drake's lightning magic, one that supersedes not just the Lightning-God discipline, or the Electric arsenal discipline, but his ultimate magic. Electromancy allows Drake to manipulate and control electrical currents on a scale never before seen. With a mere thought, he can summon thunderstorms from clear skies, unleash devastating bolts of lightning that cleave through buildings, and command the element to his will. Electromancy's potential is staggering, with the ability to rival even the strongest Paranormal-Beings and will allow the "Lightning-God" discipline to live up to its name. In its current form, Electromancy is still in its infancy, and it cannot control electricity beyond what the Lightning-God discipline currently entails.
SON OF ADAM ⫻ Adam Blackmore was considered to be a master of Purple & Red Lux and had thousands of different spells under his belt. Spells that he attempted to pass onto Drake, but as it turns out, Drake was far too hard-headed to utilize the spells that Adam taught him. From feeble attempts at Lumomancy to comically unreliable Teleportation magic, each spell in this hapless arsenal reflects Drake's journey to discovering his affinity in Lightning and developing his primary spell-groups.
Lumomancy ⫻ Drake's attempts at Lumomancy often result in feeble attempts to summon dim, flickering lights or tiny sparks that barely illuminate his surroundings. Despite his efforts to channel his father's teachings, Drake's lack of focus and enthusiasm for light manipulation leaves much to be desired, making this spell useless.
Aeromancy ⫻ Drake's level of Aeromancy yields laughably weak gusts of wind that barely rustle leaves or ruffle hair. Despite his father's attempts to instill the principles of air manipulation, Drake's lackadaisical approach to the discipline results in ineffectual breezes that provide little more than a gentle breeze on a warm day.
Portal Creation ⫻ Drake's experiments with Portal Creation lead to chaotic and unwieldy disasters as his attempts to open portals result in unstable rifts that collapse upon themselves moments after being created. His father's teachings on interdimensional travel and portal creation were lost on Drake. Though Victoria has been teaching him somewhat... instead of working against his nature, she is trying to teach him how to create portals out of electricity.
Chronomancy ⫻ Drake begrudgingly engaged in half-ass attempts to grasp the intricacies of Chronomancy, spurred by his father's insistence on tapping into the most potent aspect of Purple Lux. However, his efforts yield only feeble results, as Drake struggles to harness time manipulation with zero luck or success. Despite occasional attempts to concentrate and focus on changing the flow of time, Drake's lack of genuine interest and commitment to the Spell results in hilariously ineffective results. Though he's learning some aspects of it, such as for his Arc Lightning Field, Chronomancy is not his forte. He'll likely never develop this Spell until he undergoes some major growing like his father did.
THE DRAGON ⫻ A discipline that Drake has been developing recently, though it comes from the fragments that his father taught him (what little of it stuck to Drake). Drake created The Dragon Spellgroup from those fragments, inspired by Linqian and other fire benders in the Old Coven. Since Fire is also one of Drake's affinities, he has a straightforward time developing the Dragon Discipline. Unlike regular flames, this fire is a vibrant blue color.
Fire God ⫻ This collection of spells represents Drake's burgeoning mastery over fire magic, inspired by his affinity for pyromancy and his determination to harness its destructive potential.
The Flameblade ⫻ Using a similar method to Drake's Electric Arsenal, Drake conjures a blade of pure flame from the depths of his hot-blooded soul. The fiery weapon dances with flames fueled by Drake's firey rage, and much like the Electric Arsenal, it's somehow solid. It can cleave through flesh and bone like an actual blade (though Drake missed the memo on the point of, you know, a sword).
Fireball ⫻ One of the few spells that his father taught him that Drake caught on to. Drawing upon the primal fury of flames, Drake conjures a sphere of fire in his hands, and Drake can hurl the Fireball at will. He can create a fireball the size of a basketball that'll leave behind a trail of swirling fire behind it. He can make several fireballs one after the other and put them in both hands.
Shotgun Fireball ⫻ Building upon the explosive potential of the Fireball spell, Drake channels the chaotic energy of fire into a burst of literal firepower. With focus, he fragments the fiery sphere into smaller projectiles like a hail of flaming meteorites. Each projectile is far weaker than a full-fledged fireball, but the Shotgun Fireball spreads further and is devastating at close range.
Flamethrower ⫻ Drake conjures a roaring column of fire out of his hands, much like an actual flamethrower. Drake creates a fiery torrent directed toward his enemies; however, it has a concise range of around two meters, making it an effective short-range weapon of destruction.
Explosion ⫻ In an attempt to harness the volatile energies of combustion, Drake attempts to develop the spell "Explosion." However, it has yielded less-than-ideal results, as the spell proves to be highly unpredictable and unreliable. When invoked, "Explosion" manifests as a burst of fiery energy that erupts at a chosen location; however, it is wildly inconsistent. At times, the explosion may be disappointingly feeble, barely strong enough to singe a few hairs. At the same time, on other occasions, it might unleash a catastrophic detonation that engulfs even Drake. Due to its inconsistent nature, Drake struggles to control this spell and finds himself at the mercy of its unpredictable results.
Ash-Storm ⫻ Amidst his exploration of pyromantic arts, Drake has begun to experiment with a spell he tentatively calls the Ash-Storm. However, in its current state, the spell remains erratic and unreliable, barely living up to its potential. When Drake attempts to use the spell, he struggles to control the power he seeks to unleash, resulting in a lackluster display of some ash specks spawning - rather than the swirling tempest of fiery destruction he envisions. Despite its shortcomings, Drake remains diligent in developing the Ash-Storm spell. Recognizing its potential as a destructive weapon, engulfing the battlefield in a swirling maelstrom of ash and flame.
Dragon-Dive ⫻ A mixture of Red and Purple Lux and the fire version of his "Ride the Lightning" Spell. It's a simple spell; if Drake is in mid-air, he launches downwards toward his target like a rocket. As he descends, flames surround Drake and leave behind a fire trail. Drake crashes down with the force of a meteor, unleashing an explosion that launches fire in all directions.
LIMITS ⫻
THE ELECTRIC-ARSENAL ⫻ The weapons in the Electric Arsenal require a significant amount of energy to use, draining Drake's stamina with each use. Overusing these abilities can lead to exhaustion and potentially render Drake unable to cast further spells or wield his electric weapons. Despite their power, weapons in the Electric Arsenal are limited by Drake's physical strength and endurance. Using heavy weapons like the Voltbuster and Stormbreaker requires significant physical exertion.
LIGHTNING-GOD ⫻ Some of the most potent Lightning God spells rely on atmospheric conditions such as storm clouds or electrical disturbances. Drake's ability to cast these spells may be severely hampered without suitable weather patterns, and on a sunny day, Drake is the weakest, ironically. Drake's lightning-based attacks are more effective in environments with high conductivity levels, such as open fields or urban areas with metal structures. His spells may be less potent or ineffective in areas with poor conductivity, such as deserts or insulated interiors. Channeling vast amounts of electrical energy through his body carries the risk of overload, which can lead to physical exhaustion, mental strain, or even injury if Drake pushes himself too far beyond his limits. Zeus' Lightning and Thunderbolt require Drake to be immobile... though it doesn't count if he's floating using his flight as long as he's stationary in the air.
SON OF ADAM ⫻ Drake's lack of interest and commitment to mastering these spells severely limits their effectiveness. They often produce only minor, inconsequential results, are highly inconsistent, or fail to achieve their intended purpose.
THE DRAGON ⫻ First and foremost, Drake cannot mix his Dragon Spells with his Electric Arsenal or Lightning God Spell groups - he has to choose fire or lightning. The fiery nature of the Dragon spellgroup makes them particularly sensitive to environmental conditions. In damp or rainy environments, the effectiveness of the spells may be diminished, as water can dampen the intensity of the flames and reduce their destructive potential. While powerful, the Dragon spells are most effective at close to mid-range combat. At longer distances, their effectiveness diminishes, and Drake may struggle to target distant foes with his pyromantic attacks accurately. While powerful, the Dragon spells primarily focus on offensive firepower, offering limited versatility in terms of defensive or utility capabilities.
WEAKNESSES ⫻ It's water. You can beat Drake with a cup of fucking water.
THE ELECTRIC-ARSENAL ⫻ The effectiveness of the Electric Arsenal may be diminished in certain conditions, such as heavy rain or extreme humidity, which can interfere with the conductivity of electricity and weaken the power of Drake's spells and weapons. If his guns get drenched in Water, they'll be destroyed, and he'll have to remake them. Also, these weapons are bright and loud and interfere with his sense of vision, sight, and smell.
LIGHTNING-GOD ⫻ Water is a natural conductor of electricity, and Drake's lightning spells may be less effective or even backfire in environments with high moisture levels or standing water. This causes these spells to explode in his face if he isn't careful. Drake's lightning-based attacks demand precision aiming and timing to ensure maximum effectiveness, leaving him vulnerable to agile adversaries capable of evasive maneuvers. These spells are also bright, flashy, and loud, throwing stealth and any subtly out the window, temporarily blinding and deafening him as he has zero resistance to bright lights and sound.
SON OF ADAM ⫻ Drake's haphazard attempts to use Son of Adam spells can sometimes result in unintended consequences or backlash. These unforeseen consequences pose a risk to both Drake and those around him, making the spells inherently dangerous. For example, when attempting to use the Teleportation spell, Drake could miscalculate or fail to establish a stable connection with the destination. This can result in partial materialization, leaving Drake momentarily trapped in an object or even a different dimension. However, these spells are useless anyway.
THE DRAGON ⫻ The fiery nature of the Dragon spells makes them vulnerable to water-based attacks or environments. Water can extinguish flames and dampen the intensity of pyromantic spells, rendering Drake's fire-based abilities less effective or even completely nullifying them in wet conditions. Drake isn't fully immune to fire, so the intense heat generated by the Dragon spells can be a double-edged sword, posing a risk of overheating Drake if used excessively. If not used safely or correctly, Drake can burn himself with his fire.

Yes, I know you thought it was a dude. I’m really good with makeup. No, they’re not that short." ___________________________________
[Singer at a bar] ⫻ Aryin is a great singer, and they try to spend every weekend at the local karaoke bars. While they’re not good enough to become a professional singer, they’re more than good enough to be the best in their friend group, the coven, and the 317. [Art as a passion] ⫻ Aryin is also an artist and they make their living at the 317. They don’t claim any one style but prefer to let the art tell them which direction to take it. Their abstract art is made in a rather strange way. [Amateur Boxer] ⫻ Aaron has also spent quite a few hours in the gym learning boxing. While they’re not going to go anywhere with it they can still use their skills from this martial art to further bolster their fighting skills when powered up. [DJ] ⫻ Aaron has a side hustle as a DJ for hire. They are nothing fancy, but they know how to get a crowd dancing at whatever function they’re hired for.
Appearance ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ "I can be whichever one you want me to be."
There are a few constants that are shared between these two halves of Aryin’s same whole. They are both white, with Heterochromia. Their eyes are green and brown, and the location of these colors switch sides when they swap. They like to wear loose, baggy clothes because Aryin is tall at 5’11 while Aaron is shorter at 5’7. Thus, when they’re out as Aaron they need to always ensure that whatever they wear will also fit the taller Aryin and vice versa. While that is a necessity, they do have a separate style for each. Aryin tends to be bubble gum pink and colorful meanwhile Aaron simple and basic with his clothes.
Aaron has shorter, fluffy brown hair while Aryin has longer straight hair that they often keep bangs with. Neither have any tattoos nor piercings as that could mess with their body transformation. A tattoo that could look good on one might look distorted and wrong on the other.
Psychology ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ " We’re literally the same person, why do you think I’m more bitchy??"
MAIN GOAL ⫻ Aryin has the goal to protect their found family at whatever cost it might incur. They will not hesitate to jump into a fight to protect someone who is close to them, and oftentimes that has led to injuries for all parties involved. Aryin will also stop at nothing to ensure that once a threat identifies themself that the threat is dealt with. They also have a desire to truly find someone capable of loving them, the whole them, and not just one half of them. This has proven much more difficult than they imagined, as they can not date a blind.
PHILOSOPHY ⫻ The strong must protect the week. Those who have the strength to do so must do everything in their power to ensure those without it do not come to harm. Whether that is with physical strength, mental fortitude, or material wealth, those who are in a privileged position must use it to better those who are not on their level. Any less is betraying not only themself, but everyone around them.
SECRETS ⫻ They often lead a secret double life as each part of themself with the blind. Aaron is a sports nerd who likes to hang out with the boys at the bar watching a game while having a drink, meanwhile Aryin is a nature loving, power to the people activist who finds peace on hikes. Their two friend groups never intersect but if they did, they’d have up become like Ms. Doubtfire in every social engagement. As well, if it became common knowledge that they love to live this double life people would think less of them for their talk about embracing your whole truth, but living in a way that was anything but.
SEXUALITY ⫻ Queer as fuck.
FEARS ⫻ They have a deep fear surrounding the Stygian Snake and monsters like it. They were not strong enough to hold the line, nor fight the monster back itself. If another threat like that came into the world they know that they’d never be able to do more than what they have already did.
They also have a fear about being alone. Their birth family already abandoned them, what would happen if their found family did the same?
REPUTATION IN OLD COVEN ⫻ Aryin was simply Aaron back in the old coven day in both forms. They were known to be a fiery, opinionated person who was ready to fight both the Stygian Snake and the less chill members of the coven. They were often seen arguing with the leadership about one thing or the other, and on a few times their temper got the best of them. People also knew them as this kind, compassionate person who would rather throw themself in front of a raging monster instead of risking injury to someone else. They left before they could be kicked out by the leadership, and that vote was likely to occur. Their biggest hater was Emily, and if she simply breathed around Aaron he would’ve made it a huge issue.
ROLE IN THE BATTLE AGAINST THE STYGIAN SNAKE ⫻ They were a common sight on the frontlines. They would tank the hits of the various monsters to allow the more finesse fighters a clear opening to strike, before switching to their long range form to clear the monsters from a distance. You never saw them stay in the same form for long, and more often they would be tanking a hit before they switched to kill a target before they switched back to resume their tank status.
FLAWS ⫻ They often care too much about those around them. If someone hurts their friend, or creates the situation where their friend gets hurt, they will become increasingly unreliable and irrational. As well, they often read too much into what people say. A simple misunderstanding could turn heated without much warning.
Backstory ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ " Let’s not focus on the past."
Aaron was born in St. Portwell to an upper middle class family. He did not want for a lot, and had a relatively happy childhood even if his gender fluid nature drew the ire of his parents. He had average grades, but a strong friend group that created a lot of great childhood memories. Because of their constant desire to present differently than what their parents had intended, they often were pulled away from their friends and the fun that he enjoyed so much and forced to spend weeks at a time restricted to their room.
As they entered Highschool they hoped that things would finally be different, that they could be their authentic self and get the approval of their parents and be able to have friends that matched their energy. That would have to wait. During a normal after school visit to the mall the Snake launched its attack. It was during this attack that Aaron underwent their kindling and learned how to fight back. As soon as their kindling was finished they underwent their first swap and what would become known as Aryin was born. Aryin would fight in this form for a few minutes before she swapped back. He then used his light based powers to fight the apparitions that had killed his friends and began to go after any other one he could find. Eventually he was cornered and took a few hits that forced him to swap back to Aryin. For the next hour she threw hands with the monsters, unable to hurt them and unable to be hurt in return. They think that they would still be there to this day, hands flying through the air, if it wasn’t for the Sycamore Tree Coven finding her and killing the monsters.
From here it was clear what their path would be, and it was clear that it would be paved with the bodies of the snake and its minions. Fighting became a new normal during the month-long ordeal, and they were never far from the frontlines. Tank a hit, swap, blast them with energy, swap again, and repeat. They got help with enhancing their spells from Ella, and their memory lingers on with Aaron in their spell names. When the snake was defeated, they tried to stay with the coven to help protect the people she cared about. People like Emily and the other leaders made that difficult, and Aryin transitioned to fight this new fight for those who could not. This would go on for more than Aryin intended, and they knew when they were no longer wanted by the leadership. As those they cared about left, so too did Aryin. This closed her time with coven’s and has never joined another.
After the coven, and Highschool, they fully came out and refused to back down when their parents threatened to disown them. They made good on the threat and Aryin had to chart their own path forward, completely cut off from everyone in her family. They went to school in St. Portwell and is still paying down the debt they took out to pay for it. They have a small apartment down the road from the 317 and have done their best to keep in contact with their friends from before. They have begun to rent a space in the 317 and have begun to be brought into more of the organization's structure. They have heard that their coven has returned, and part of them wants to return and rejoin their former friends.
Abstraction ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ " You’re not strong enough. And you can’t ran fast enough."
TYPE ⫻ Aryin is a green adept with a necklace as her channeler, Aaron is a red adept with the same channeler. Technically they’re a Red/Green adept however their powers are restricted depending on their presentation.
ABSTRACTION ⫻ Gender Bender. Aryin can swap their gender to either be an immovable object of pure defensive strength, or an unstoppable object of raw destructive power.
ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION ⫻ Aryin is an adept who uses a power they’ve referred to as Gender Bender. This power allows them to completely change their sex at will, complete with both primary and secondary characteristics. While some traits remain, such as their eyes, everything else will be changed and this includes their powers. The transformation is near instant, and they’re able to swap back and forth without issue or delay. Their two forms compliment each other, one can tank the hits and apply the power to the other that can dish out punishment and increase the former's speed.
STONEWALL ⫻ When they are Aryin they become an immovable object that can tank hits from most sources both physical and magical. They draw their power entirely from the green lux aspect of their power and have not been able to integrate any red lux spells whatsoever. The secondary function of this form is it is the most efficient way to power Aaron’s spells. Their skin can store the energy of a hit and this stored energy is then used up with their offensive spells. They can not store an infinite amount of this energy and thus, they’ll want to switch to get the most out of it. As well, if they store too much it begins to slow them down.
HOLD THE LINE Aryin becomes incredibly hard to move. No matter what they are hit with they can not be pushed back nor moved from their position. Each hit will feel like it’s hitting a solid surface no matter where it falls.
STILL IN THE FIGHT As well, in this form they have a nearly unlimited source of stamina. This means that even if they throw a thousand punches they’ll be ready to throw a thousand more. They’re punches are enhanced compared to normal but it is not by much. They can hit hard but not hard enough to be considered supernatural.
IN THE LINE OF FIRE When someone they care about is in danger they are able to temporarily increase their speed to get themselves in front of the danger. This is a short lived burst of energy that seems to be triggered by their fear of loss.
WEEB ENHANCEMENT ⫻ Aaron is a bit different in his application of his power. He can not access any green lux abilities and instead must focus on the raw power from his red. Aaron can draw from Aryin’s stored energy to power his abilities. He can still use his power without this stored energy but they are much weaker, and will instead pull from his own life force.
TWILIGHT FLASH Aaron can draw on his power to create light in the palm of his hands . The intensity of the light depends on how much energy he pulls into the spell. Simply put the more energy he draws the brighter the light. This also acts as a charge up system for his other spells If he charges this for a second, he might be able to hurt and possibly kill an enemy. More than likely this will stun a target rather than anything more. If he charges for ten seconds there is not much that can take multiple hits from his offensive spells.
In simple terms, he draws power from the stored energy of Stonewall that he can then convert into a power that he can use for his spells.
EVIL SPIRITS, BE GONE The most telegraphed attack he will use, Evil Spirits, Be Gone is an incredibly concentrated and consistent blast of energy. This ray can burn incredibly hot and the duration of the blast is determined by the charge time. The longer he charges the longer he can keep the blast on target before he runs out of power.
SPIRIT BOMB The second, and most powerful, of his abilities is Spirt Bomb. He concentrates the energy into one hand and forms it into a ball that he can throw and detonate on command. The size and power of the explosion is determined by how much energy he pulls from within, growing from a baseball to a basketball to a beach ball and upwards. There is no upper limit to how big it can get however there is a limit to how much he himself can hold or throw. As well, there’s a limit on how much power he can store. Once detonated it will explode outwards in a massive explosion that can devastate those who are caught within the blast.
KI BLAST Ki blast is Aaron primary form of offense and defense. He can pull energy from within and then use it to fire off a blast of explosive power. The longer he charges the more shots he has. It is a useful tool for engage, as he can fire them off as he approaches a target before swapping, harassing at range, and even as a short range blast to get separation from a target.
LIMITS ⫻ While they can stay in both forms indefinitely, they can not fight in both forever. The Stonewall form is not meant for prolonged fights. While they are very durable something can eventually overwhelm them. As well, there is a finite amount of energy that can be stored. Aaron also has a limit for his duration. The longer that they try and maintain this form the weaker their spells become and the more energy needed.
WEAKNESSES ⫻ (DO NOT FILL THIS OUT, I WILL PROVIDE IT FOR YOU)
Other ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ " No, I don’t know Aaron. No, we’re not related."
They do enjoy messing with people, and have a knack for comedic timing.
WEAKNESSES ⫻ Aryin/Aaron's ability to switch genders and spell groups is connected to their emotions and could lead to unintentionally switching forms and even getting temporarily stuck in either Aaron or Aryin. Which can be pretty risky in situations in which they need one form or another. Aryin/Aaron's Abstraction is specialized, with each form focusing solely on defense or offense, which means they sacrifice one for the other. While Aryin's Stonewall form provides excellent defense, it also limits her mobility and range of movement, making her slow, sluggish, inert, and easier to maneuver around in a fight. Aaron's spells, particularly Evil Spirits, Be Gone and Spirit Bomb, are highly telegraphed and require charging time, making them incredibly easy to react to in a fight. While Aaron's offensive form grants him powerful destructive abilities, it may also leave him physically vulnerable due to decreased defense and a weaker Emotional-Field which means he is more susceptible to magic than average.
Finally... after about a week of work Anya's updated spellbook is here @Punished GN if you want to add any weaknesses
Paranormal-Abilities ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ "How naive to think you’re safe from your dreams."
TYPE ⫻ Adept
ABSTRACTION ⫻Pink, Purple, White & Orange Lux Channeler: a silver fountain pen
ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION ⫻ Anya’s main speciality comes with the ability to manipulate dreams. She sees dreams as a way into someone’s soul - to find out information they wouldn’t otherwise divulge, to manipulate their opinions and to ultimately control them. It took her a while to come to this conclusion, and discover her affinity.
Dream Weaving ⫻ Anya's main spell discipline, Dream Weaving is the art of entering and manipulating dreams. It's a unique combination of Anya's purple and pink lux, allowing her to physically enter dreams. She essentially teleports into the dream. The target must be asleep and dreaming for her to enter their dream world.
Dream Visit ⫻ The primary spell to Anya's Dream Weaving discipline, allowing Anya to enter a specific person's dream. This hinges on two conditions. First, the person must be asleep and dreaming. Second, she must have met them before. Once these conditions are met she can enter someone's dream. This takes both time and concentration, and she then teleports into their dream world - her physical body is in there, so her body isn't left behind. Entering a specific dream takes a lot of energy, so she can generally only visit two before she need to rest (either a minimum four hour sleep, or ten hours outside of the dream world). She can exit the dream at will, either to her previous physical location (where she entered the dream) or to another dream.
Dream Walking ⫻ A more dangerous variety of Dream Entry, where Anya can walk through the dreams of anyone. It’s much like walking down a dark path - she doesn’t know where she’ll end up, and can only pick a direction. She can move from dream to dream like this, not being limited in the number she goes to as it doesn't take as much energy as entering a specific dream, but it's risky. It's much easier for her to get trapped doing this or to walk into a dangerous dream and get hurt. She can exit this in the same way she does dream entry.
Dream Manipulation ⫻ Anya's primary and strongest spell, this allows her to change the dream she's currently in. It's possible for her to change any element of the dream. She can shift the dream to an entirely new location, or bring in a specific "person" (a dream version). She can manipulate the narrative of the dream, change the events going on. Each change takes time, and the amount of time is dependent on how large the change is. She can only change one aspect at a time - she can't change the environment while also removing the presence of something. She needs to layer them change by change, with each one taking energy and time. It's easier to manipulate a dream to something similar to what it already is. However, she's very adept at this spell and it's one of her best. She's been working on it for ten years to get faster and more efficient at manipulating it, to the point she can fully change a dream during the hours she's in it.
Dream Interaction ⫻ A passive spell that comes by virtue of Anya physically being within a dream, rather than accessing it with just pink lux. Anya can physically interact with the dream and the dreamer, just as it can interact back with her. This means she can move things in the dream, interact as if they were real ect. She can talk to and interact with the dreamer. But it also means that if anything in the dream hurts Anya, it's hurting her physical body. If she dies in the dream she's properly dead.
Dream Damage ⫻ A more advanced version of Dream Interaction, which allows Anya to interact with and damage the dreamers physical form through hurting them in her dreams. Any wound she inflicts on the dreamer will appear on their body. With active concentration, this will be damage caused by her or anything she holds. With more concentration and energy she can allow the dream itself to interact and damage the dreamer. In the case of the blind, it would be possible for the dream to kill them. She has never tried this before.
Dream Scrying ⫻ A spell that allows Anya to gain specific information from a person dream. This could be about their current emotional state, the environment of the dream, about them as a person - all sorts of things. She essentially manipulates the dream to show her the answer, so she gains the information visually in a small, localised dream manipulation. She can only get one piece of information at a time. The more the dreamer doesn't want to 'share' information the more difficult and time consuming it is. Trying to find out how they're feeling would be easy and only take a few minutes, but trying to discover a secret someone is keeping would take the majority of the time she's in a dream.
Subliminal Messaging ⫻ Based on pink lux knowledge Greyson Devola passed on to her, this is essentially Anya's version of dream 'More Than a Feeling.' This is unaffected by emotional fields, as she's already essentially infiltrated. This works by leaving subtle suggestions via the dreams, directly influencing the dreamer to wake up feeling inclined to follow the suggestion. These are typically simple messages, pushing people to return to her shop and purchase more of her wares. Or for them to wake up feeling content. Given enough time, she can paint much more intricate subliminal messages through the dream imagery in combination with her dream manipulation. This is quite energy and time consuming, compared to more simple suggestions. This is heavily based on the dreams themselves, and how likely the target is to follow through on a suggestion - as dreams often reflect their moods, and anything to jarringly different won't be followed.
Dream Exit ⫻ A spell that Anya is currently working on, but hasn't made any progress on. The aim is for it to allow her to exit the dream at the location of the dreamer, rather than from where she entered which is the 'default'. She wants to be able to choose which of the two to exit from. So far her attempts have been unsuccessful.
Dream Companion ⫻ Another spell Anya is working on, which would allow her to bring another person or physical object into a dream with her. Right now she is practicing with objects. She's been able to bring up to something as big as a tennis ball, but nothing larger. She tried a teddy bear recently, and the results weren't pretty.
Dream Boost ⫻ The third spell of her dream weaving Anya is working on, born from her own selfishness. She wants to be able to boost her own abstraction using the dream itself. This would essentially allow her to drain part of the dream to strengthen herself, thus allowing her to be more powerful within the dream itself and be able to manipulate it better. She is yet to succeed at any attempts of this spell.
The Waking World ⫻ A discipline of spells that Anya can actively use in the waking world. These are primarily spells to support her dream weaving, or create images based on dreams.
Dream Illusions ⫻ Anya can create basic illusions based on things from the last two dreams she was in. These illusions are visible to anyone that could feasibly see them. They are intangible and relatively easily dispelled. She can only make visual illusions. They make no sound, and are destroyed upon being touched. Those with emotional fields can easily see through them.
Dream Hallucinations ⫻ This spell targets one person, and causes them to hallucinate. The images they see are chosen by Anya and must be something she saw in one of the last two dreams she was in. These can be both visual and auditory hallucinations. For the blind its near impossible to tell they're hallucinating. Those with emotional fields have an easier time seeing through them.
Dream Inducement ⫻ This spell is the ability to induce dreams in someone, rather than waiting for it to happen naturally. Anya either has to touch the person to induce dreams, or have something “anchoring her to them”. Specifically, they must have an object with a specific dreamer locator spell on it. When Anya induces a dream she can choose the general type of the dream - whether it's a good dream, or a nightmare. She can’t choose anything beyond that, it's otherwise the same as a normal, natural dream.
Dream Alert ⫻ A simple spell that allows Anya to 'check' on someone who she knows, and find out if they are currently asleep and dreaming.
Dream Information ⫻ A spell that Anya's currently working on to allow her to discover the details of the last dream a person had. She needs to be close enough to the person, and touching them makes it easier. Currently she can only get the most surface level information - that they had a bad dream, that it was about work, ect. She can't get any details.
Dream Devices ⫻ Anya's final discipline, focusing primarily on using her orange lux to infuse objects with the aid of her other lux to enhance her dream weaving use, along with objects to manipulate dreams in her place.
Dream Locator ⫻ A spell to infuse a small object with a locator spell. This allows Anya to induce dreams without touching someone, or to perform other spells (such as dream hallucinations) through the locator as if she were there. This object needs to be close to them, at least within a metre. For example, put on a bedside table. Its useless if its too far away. This infusion lasts for approximately a week.
Nightmare Ward ⫻ Anya infuses a small object with a weak nightmare ward spell. If kept close enough this will reduce the number of nightmares someone has. Like the dream locator, it must be placed within a metre of the user. It only reduces nightmares. It doesn't keep away other bad dreams, such as stress dreams, nor does it guarantee good dreams.
Nightmare Inducer ⫻ The opposite of Nightmare Ward, Anya infuses a small object with a spell that increases the number of nightmares someone has. It has a slightly larger range, just having to be in the same room as someone (unless it's a really big room).
Dream Encapsulation ⫻ The main spell that Anya is working on, which would allow her to store a specific dream within an object. It is essentially her dream manipulation spell infused into an object, with specific dream "settings" chosen upon infusion. At the moment, she can infuse a tiny dream influence into an object - something like a plant appearing. The aim is for her to have three different types of Dream Encapsulation infusions, as follows:
Generic Dreams ⫻ The simplest type, which she is currently working towards. This would allow her to create objects with a basic dream stored in them. This object would then influence the dreams of a nearby dreamer, like Anya would within their dreams, to turn it into the stored dream. This would be generic scenarios without any person specifics - such as a nice picnic in a field, going to a beach, or a space adventure.
Specialised Dreams ⫻ A more complicated type, this infusion would include more complicated and tailor made dreams. This would include elements that only a specific person could have in their dream - people they know, for example. It could also be an incredibly specific scenario: for example, going on a date with a specific person at their favourite restaurant, with the music from a specific band playing. She hasn't made any progress on this part.
Variable Dreams ⫻ The most complicated type, combining white lux with the dream manipulation infusion. This would allow her to infuse a stone with a variable dream manipulation spell, with pink-white lux reading what the user wants to dream about and then manipulating their dreams to follow their wishes that night. This is her ultimate aim, so that she no longer has to manipulate every dream herself. Currently she's very far away from making it happen.
Dream Anchor ⫻In conjunction with her dream exit spell, Anya is working on a spell that will allow her to infuse an object to "anchor" her. Essentially this will allow her to teleport out of a dream to where the object is. It acts as a location marker for her dream exit, since she can only exit to the dreamers location or her previous location. Currently she hasn't made much progress with this spell.
From the time of her kindling event at age ten, until she went through her rebellious phase at sixteen and subsequently joined the coven, Anya primarily learned spells from her older siblings and parents - struggling to create her own. She has lower affinity for most of these spells, and basically doesn’t use them anymore due to them being weaker and having more limits.
Psychometry ⫻ A spell to gain information from an object by touching it. By using it Anya can find out how this object was last used, which is generally useless information. She learned this from Nisha.
Portal Creation ⫻ Learnt from her mum, Anya can created a portal to somewhere else. To where, you ask? Well, Anya doesn’t know until she steps through the portal.
Telekinesis ⫻ Learnt from Kiran, Anya has a very rudimentary telekinesis spell. She can use telekinesis on an object up to 20g of weight.
Sharpen Object ⫻ A very basic version of a spell her dad could use, Anya can make an object sharper. The object has to already be sharp, though, or it doesn’t do much.
LIMITS ⫻
Dream Weaving ⫻ There are some general limits to Anya's dream weaving spells. She can only be in any dreams that aren't her own for five hours, and one specific dream for up to three hours. To enter a dream, the target must be asleep and dreaming. If they wake up she's forcefully teleported out. Since Anya is physically in a dream, she can be hurt by it. She could be hurt enough to get killed. While Emotional-Field’s generally don’t affect her spells (being non offensive in nature), Paranormals can sense something’s off with their dream. It's possible for them to even notice her presence, realise she’s not part of the dream or actively seek her out in their dream.
Dream Visit ⫻ Anya needs to have met whoever's dream she's entering. She can only enter two in a night before she needs four hours minimum of sleep, or ten hours outside of dreams.
Dream Walking ⫻ Anya can enter about ten dreams during dream walking, before she needs four hours minimum of sleep, or ten hours outside of dreams. Anya can't choose where she's going, only the direction she's walking in. The dreams she walks into are completely random, and she could walk into a dangerous situation.
Dream Manipulation ⫻ Dream manipulation takes time and energy. The bigger a change, the longer it will take. Adding in a new element will take seconds for something small, to minutes for something large. Bringing in a dream person could take up to ten minutes. Changing the entire dream, such as a peaceful dream to a warzone, would take an hour or two in total for all the elements to be changed. There's a risk of "overloading" the dream if she adds too many conflicting elements, which could rebound and hurt her. The dream doesn't pause during the manipulation. Changes also take energy, and the larger changes she makes the more likely she is to exhaust herself and have to leave a dream early.
Dream Interaction ⫻ Anya is physically limited by how she can interact with a dream. She can't interact with something that's outside of her reach. She can't do anything she couldn't do in the real world if she's not using her dream manipulation spell.
Dream Damage ⫻ Using this spell is incredibly taxing on Anya. Hurting someone through a dream is difficult, and will exhaust her enough that she'll likely have to leave the dream immediately afterwards. It requires complete concentration. Emotional-fields protect against it, she can't just kill someone with them in their dream.
Dream Scrying ⫻ The amount of time and energy it takes to get a piece of information depends on how much information there is, and how much the dreamer wants it to stay hidden. A simple thing would take seconds, something they keep well hidden hours. She can't use other spells while scrying.
Subliminal Messaging ⫻ Anya can only leave one subliminal message, and it can't be anything too complicated. If the suggestion conflicts with what the person would normally do or their personality, it's likely it won't be followed through. Something jarringly different from the rest of the dream will also be ignored. These suggestions or emotion changes need to be done through dream imagery, which can be time consuming for anything more complicated.
Dream Companion ⫻ Currently, Anya can't bring anything bigger than a tennis ball and she hasn't tried it with anything sentient. It's more exhausting to bring something into a dream with her.
Dream Boost ⫻ The boost will directly correlate to the amount Anya drains from a dream, and eventually she will run out of elements to take. It takes time to draw the energy from them. At the moment, she can't use this spell.
The Waking World ⫻
Dream Illusions ⫻ The illusions are easily dispelled by touch or magic use. If anyone paranormal observes them more than casually it will be obvious they're illusions. If blind observe them closely it will be obvious. She can only hold the illusion for about ten minutes. She can only create illusions of something from the last two dreams she visited.
Dream Hallucinations ⫻ These target one person and she can only use it for about ten minutes. The hallucinations need to be based on something in one of the last two dreams she visited. These can be visual and auditory, but not sensory. Blinds can't tell they're hallucinating, but it's possible for those with Emotional-Fields to see through them with a lot of effort or something like white lux.
Dream Inducement ⫻ Anya either has to have physical contact with the person to induce dreams, or they have to have a “dream locator” infused object nearby. She doesn’t choose the specific dream she induces outside of whether it's good or bad, instead just putting them in a dreaming state.
Dream Alert ⫻ Anya can only check if someone she knows is dreaming, and the further away they are from her the longer it will take to get that information.
Dream Information ⫻ This spell takes concentration, and she must have the target in her line of sight and be within a few metres of them. Touching them speeds it up. The more indepth information she wants the longer it'll take. Currently she can only get surface level information.
Dream Devices ⫻ Anya can currently infuse about five a day of her first three dream objects. The rest she can't properly do yet, but will be slower when she can.
Dream Locator ⫻ This infusion last approximately a week. The object needs to be within a metre of the person for it to work.
Nightmare Ward & Nightmare Inducer ⫻ The object needs to be kept within two metres to be effective. The infusion only lasts for two weeks. It only increases or decreases nightmares, it doesn't guarantee a major change in dreams.
Dream Encapsulation ⫻ Anya currently can't really use this spell, and it takes a lot of energy to use. She can only infuse an object so that it makes very minor, near neglible, manipulations to dreams. It needs to be within a metre to be effective.
Dream Anchor ⫻ This spell just doesn't do anything right now.
Anya is pretty shit at most of these spells to the point they are practically useless.
Psychometry ⫻ The only information Anya can get is how an object was last used. Not who by, but how. For example, she’ll know a pen was used to write. Nothing more than that. She can only do it once per object, and twice a day.
Portal Creation ⫻ Anya can’t choose the location of the exit portal. It’s two ways, but only lasts for five minutes. She can only do it once a day.
Telekinesis ⫻ Anya can only levitate an object of up to 20g of weight. It's blocked by emotional fields, but she couldn’t use it on any person anyway.
Sharpen Object ⫻ A non sharp object won’t be affected by this spell. It can only make objects such as knives cut a bit better. Emotional fields completely block it, so she can’t sharpen a table knife and then kill a paranormal with it.
WEAKNESSES ⫻
(DO NOT FILL THIS OUT, I WILL PROVIDE IT FOR YOU)
WEAKNESSES ⫻ Attempting to exert excessive control or make too many changes within a dream could destabilize the dream environment. Anya's manipulation may introduce conflicting elements or disrupt the natural flow of the dream, leading to instability within the dream realm and possibly collapse - ending the dream then and there and forcing her back to the real world. Anya's attempts to manipulate dreams may provoke resistance or backlash from the dreamer's subconscious. If the dreamer's subconscious rejects Anya's alterations or perceives her presence as a threat, hostile anomalies within the dream could manifest and force her out of it. Overloading the dream environment with excessive changes or manipulations can lead to unintended consequences or unforeseen outcomes. Anya's alterations may also create unexpected scenarios that escalate out of control, leading to the collapse of a dream. The more Anya interacts with nightmares, the greater the risk of succumbing to their malevolent influences. Prolonged exposure to nightmares can corrupt her thoughts, emotions, and perceptions, blurring the line between reality and illusion. She may struggle to distinguish between dreams and waking life, experiencing hallucinations or delusions that threaten her grasp of reality. If Anya is injured in a dream, the injuries transfer to the real world, and if she is killed in someone's dreams, then she dies in real life.
Also, there is a chance that Anya may randomly enter the Dreams of the dreaded Trevor Obott. The more dreams Anya enters a night, the more likely she'll accidentally enter his dreams. Even if Shimmer's Trevor is dead, due to magic bullshit I won't explain; she'll just enter the dreams of an alternate Trevor. And every one of them is just as terrible as Shimmer's Trevor.

They're like the coolest little guys! Their world is like this amazing, amazing adventure waiting to be explored! They're these little geniuses with secrets to share, and I can't wait to learn 'im!" ___________________________________
Spiders! ⫻ Lisa is an arachnology expert, possessing a deep understanding of spiders gained through years of study and observation. She can identify various species by their traits and behaviors and appreciates their ecological significance. Lisa's knowledge extends to practical skills, such as safely handling spiders and incorporating spider symbolism into her spells.
Stealth ⫻ Due to her um hobbies, Lisa has mastered sneaking and remaining unnoticed, making her an excellent stalker or spy. She also has keen observation skills and can notice small details, changes in behavior, or objects out of place.
Lockpicking ⫻ Lisa has developed a knack for lockpicking, allowing her to slip into places where she's not supposed to be. Her nimble fingers and sharp mind make quick work of most locks, helping her gain access to restricted areas without being noticed.
Collecting & Cataloging ⫻ Lisa has a meticulous habit of collecting things—whether it's spider species, rare insects, or obscure information. She keeps detailed records of her findings, organizing them precisely, ensuring nothing is ever lost or forgotten. This skill extends to her ability to methodically track and catalog both tangible and intangible details in her environment.
Cunning ⫻ Beneath her lighthearted and sometimes goofy demeanor, Lisa is remarkably cunning. She has a sharp mind, is quick on her feet when needed, and often outmaneuvering others with ease. She can manipulate situations or people to her advantage without them even realizing it until it’s too late.
Appearance ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ "Who says Spiders can't be stylish!?"
The definition of bubbly.
Lisa is an approachable, energetic woman, an attribute she carried from childhood until adulthood! She is almost constantly bouncing, smiling, and talking, and some may consider her immature or annoying, but Lisa sees herself as Lisa. She is just one happy gal to be alive! Despite her love for spooky and macabre, Lisa's undeniable warmth and kindness draw people to her. Her wardrobe reflects her eclectic and eccentric personality, mixing whacky graphic tees with vintage skirts and combat boots. She has a habit of accessorizing with chunky jewelry and mismatched socks, adding a whimsical touch to her attire.
One of Lisa's favorite pieces of clothing is a vintage-inspired dress adorned with spiderweb lace patterns, its flared skirt waving around her legs as she moves. Accessories are crucial in Lisa's wardrobe as the finishing touches that unite her outfits. She loves to accessorize with jewelry, favoring chunky rings and bracelets adorned with spider webs and other motifs. Her hair accessories collection is equally impressive, with an assortment of bows, clips, and headbands in all shapes and sizes, each adding a playful pop of color to her curly black hair.
Footwear is another area where Lisa's personality shines through. She's often seen sporting combat boots adorned with quirky charms or platform sneakers in bold, eye-catching colors. And when the occasion calls for something more formal, she'll swap her boots for a pair of vintage-inspired Mary Janes.
The first thing that people notice about Lisa is that she is short, extremely short. She stands at an intimidating and horrifying... four-nine. Yeah, she needs help reaching the things on the higher shelves, and she always felt like she would get taller but never did. Her height was never an issue for the gal, as she considers herself "fun-sized." The girl always struggled with her weight despite her lightning-fast metabolism; she just always had difficulty getting up and going to the gym or for a run. Despite looking skinny from a distance, she has a bit of a flabby gut and is embarrassed about it. The girl isn't very chesty otherwise (she has a little booty tho).
Lisa is African-American with very dark skin and deep dark hair. However, her hair is messy and not all that styled or well-maintained. Sometimes, it's styled; sometimes, it's a mess; and sometimes, it's not styled! A keen eye can sometimes notice a spider or two crawling across her (her outfit, hair, or skin) like it's nothing.
If you see it; don't worry about it.
Psychology ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ "Whatever I wanted to be, I already am."
MAIN GOAL ⫻ Lisa's current goal is to get back to Adora by any means necessary. The next goal is finally getting her revenge on Emily G. Reed for making her life hell.
PHILOSOPHY ⫻ Lisa's whole philosophy is that every individual possesses a unique attribute (or "magic") within them that needs to be explored! She believes true strength comes from embracing the differences between one another and celebrating the quirks that make everyone unique! To Lisa, life is an adventure filled with infinite possibilities, and it's up to everyone to embrace and explore their "magic." She believes in the power of kindness, empathy, and acceptance, seeing beauty in the diversity of the human soul. For Lisa, every challenge or obstacle is an opportunity for growth, and every setback is a chance to learn and evolve into something more significant (or stranger). She approaches life with a sense of wonder and curiosity, eager to explore the mysteries of the universe and unlock the secrets of the soul. With a heart full of love and a spirit that refuses to be tamed, Lisa embraces life with open arms, knowing that anything is possible with some magic.
Despite her optimistic and compassionate philosophy, Lisa Turner harbors darker elements within her psyche, rooted in her traumatic past, and being an Agent of Death only caused it to blossom. She is no stranger to violence and brutality. The bullying and ridicule she faced in her early years left deep scars, fueling her desire for revenge and often leading her to take extreme measures. She is willing to cross moral boundaries and use any means necessary to achieve her objectives and show her enemies no mercy. The girl is willing to kill whoever she deems necessary, whether man or monster, as she holds her friends above all else. This adaptability, in addition to her willingness to resort to violence, makes her a dangerous woman.
SECRETS ⫻ The one secret that Lisa kept to herself is that she's a stalker... She started stalking Adora during the brief dissolution of their friendship and followed her everywhere. However, once she was brought into the Old Coven, she began stalking other people that she was interested in. Mainly Greta Faust, Britney Williams, Jade West, Luca Olivera, Olivia Ruiz, Evelynn Serenelight, Kari Wilson, the "Magical Girls," and others. She would observe their habits and "borrow" something from them, typically something... "intimate" for her to keep in her private collection. Lisa keeps it a secret but doesn't fully understand that this behavior is just a little unhinged... The other thing that she keeps a secret (more internalized) is her obsession with Emily G. Reed, the woman who bullied her so heavily that she considered ending her own life. She wishes to kill Emily and devises several brutal spells to inflict the worst suffering possible on Emily.
SEXUALITY ⫻ Lisa has no clue what she is, as she never got the opportunity to explore her sexuality and experience things before her death. She has found herself attracted to many different people in the Old Coven but is oblivious to what it means or what to do with these feelings. Primarily, Lisa had feelings for her friend, Adora.
FEARS ⫻ Lisa's experiences of being bullied and isolated from her peers have left her with a fear of rejection and abandonment. She worries that if people were to discover her true self, they would reject her or treat her differently, leaving her feeling vulnerable and alone once again. Lisa deeply treasures her friendships and relationships but fears being betrayed or deceived by those she trusts. She struggles with feelings of insecurity and doubt, constantly second-guessing the intentions of others and fearing that she will be hurt or let down once again. As someone who thrives on knowledge and understanding, Lisa struggles with a fear of the unknown and uncertainty. She worries about what lies beyond the boundaries of her knowledge, whether in the realm of magic or the mysteries of life itself, leading to anxiety and apprehension.
REPUTATION IN OLD COVEN ⫻ Lisa had a bit of a shaky reputation in the Old Coven. While she was accommodating at times, she was seen as annoying, strange, and overbearing. She often didn't pay attention and got called out for putting others on the line. However, she had a bubbly, positive attitude that uplifted the Coven through their darkest hour.
ROLE IN THE BATTLE WITH THE STYGIAN SNAKE ⫻ Lisa was not an up-front fighter like the others, but she did support them. Lisa was a multiple-roled fighter who went back and forth between being a scout and healer, supplying spider minions to collide with the Stygian Snakes, and pulling people out of the fire. Lisa also helped Greta Faust gather supplies using her Spider-Minions, so she saved many lives by allowing Greta to create more potions.
FLAWS ⫻ A walking contradiction. Lisa's social skills have always been lacking. The girl doesn't have great social skills and is oblivious that she is annoying or overbearing sometimes, frequently talking too much or saying things that make others uncomfortable. She isn't very confident either and has a hard time sticking up for herself without the support of friends. Emily G. Reed is a walking source of trauma; the woman almost drove Lisa to suicide. The mere mention of Emily is triggering for her, and Lisa holds a deep-rooted obsession with Emily. She wants to see her fail, wants to see her fall, and most important of all, she wants to see Emily die. In fact, Lisa has devised some spells to inflict the most horrifying death possible on Emily. Lisa's obsession doesn't stop with Emily; she tends to fixate on people who capture her interest, stalking them and collecting personal items (often intimate ones) as trophies. This behavior is rooted in her deep fear of abandonment and rejection, and this causes her unhinged approach to relationships, where boundaries are blurred or ignored altogether. The girl is quite unfrankly unhinged, and it shows in her brutality and willingness to resort to violence. An aspect that could disturb even the sturdiest of minds/people.
Backstory ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ "The Coven showed me that, despite it all, there is a place for me."
Born on a dark, stormy night in St. Portwell. Lisa had two loving parents who dreamed of starting a family and welcomed her into the world with open arms. However, as she developed, there seemed to be something off about the girl... Her social skills were honestly lacking, and she created some weird fascinations. While a curious and imaginative soul, Lisa was solitary - an outcast, often retreating into her world of books and daydreams when the other children shunned her. While her classmates played tag and traded Pokémon cards, Lisa could explore the woods, collecting spiders and insects in jars and sketching their patterns in her notebook. Her bedroom walls were adorned with posters of creepy creatures, and her bookshelves overflowed with tomes on the occult and supernatural.
Despite her bubbly and kind-hearted nature, Lisa's love for spiders became a source of ridicule, and she was taunted and harassed to no end. Pranks were constantly pulled on her, and everyone pushed her around as she didn't have the confidence or backbone to strike back. Lisa was bullied into becoming an introverted recluse, one who would have to work herself up to order some pizza on the phone. High school was when Lisa got it the worst. Her main bully was Emily G. Reed, a high school senior who was a monster. Lisa couldn't go a few hours without Emily harassing her, beating her up, humiliating her, or pouring something on her clothing, and the school district was a lot more sympathetic to Emily than Lisa.
Lisa dreaded even going to school as she would damn near suffer an anxiety attack at the mere thought of seeing her tormentors. Even going out wasn't safe as people like Emily would sometimes catch her when she was going to the mall, so it felt like nowhere was safe. She became withdrawn and quiet, retreating into her little fantasy world of books and spiders to escape how horrible life was. Regardless of what she did, she couldn't find any relief as her family was no help, and the school district didn't care.
Eventually, her bullies succeeded, and Lisa was finally pushed to the edge and contemplating suicide to escape her miserable and lonely life. It was enough to trigger her Kindling-Event, but Lisa was not in the frame of mind to care about or consider the world of magic. Lisa stopped going to school as she got the strength to write her suicide note.
Then, Adora entered her life.
Adora was an acquaintance at best, but Lisa never thought she cared about her, and soon Adora became that friend. She was listening to Lisa's problems and getting her bullies off her back - even getting physical! Adora was Lisa's hero, eventually helping her gain the courage to return to school. Adora was a wonderful person and began to occupy the same headspace as spiders did to Lisa! Whenever Adora was around Lisa and talking to her, she felt a feeling in her chest that could only be a growing affection. She kept these feelings to herself and instead devoted her attention to magic!
After some testing, she developed some spells - related to spiders, of course - and just had to show Adora! One day, Lisa invited Adora to her house and showed her the beautiful things she could do... and made the girl haul ass into the night. Lisa tried to reach out, but Adora was avoiding her and sending her back into the dark places, but she refused to go back there. She wanted Adora, and she knew that Adora wouldn't have liked it, and there was something wrong with her actions, but she used her abstraction to tail Adora. She followed Adora wherever she went; if she wasn't there, a spider minion was in her place. Eventually, Adora came to her senses to apologize... Lisa saw this beforehand and gave Adora the cold shoulder. However, she (eventually) accepted Adora's apology.
Then, they got attacked by the Stygian Snake. Lisa had no clue what in the world it was, but knew it had to be magic... but it had destroyed her house, and Adora attempted to sacrifice herself so Lisa could escape. In tears, Lisa fled and knew it was the last time they would see each other. That was when the Sycamore Tree Coven came and drove the Stygian Snake off. Adora was healed, and they were recruited into the Sycamore Tree Coven against the Stygian Snake.
Lisa was a helpful part of the Old Coven and developed new spells to create Spider Minions to assist the group and travel. She was neither a front-line fighter like Adora nor a healer like Jade and Sully, but she found her Niche in the Coven as a flex support scout. With the help of Adora, she came out of her shell and made herself friends with many members of the Old Coven. She uplifted the group with her positive and bubbly attitude and was close friends with Greta Faust and a "Magical Girls" member alongside Ella, Saskia, and Kari. However, many group members found her quirks to be off-putting and annoying - worst of all, she had to work with Emily G. Reed. To say the least, just hearing that monster's name was triggering.
Despite the deaths of Ella and Saskia, Lisa attempted to see it as an adventure and remained by Adora's side - despite her confidence not being super high. However, the day of the Eclipse happened, and the final battle had begun, and Lisa was sure that she would avenge her friends. However, Lisa remained on the sidelines, observing and calling out objectives on her spider... then Adora and her Trinity were launched out of position, exposing Lisa. The Stygian Snake brutally killed her in front of Adora and left the poor gal with heaps of PTSD.
That should have been the end of Lisa's story.
However, the Hound resurrected her, Ella, and Saskia for some mission, making them his "Agents of Death." Lisa didn't trust the Hound as far as she could throw it, but she needed to get back to Adora, so she had to follow the Hound's orders.
So she could get Adora to forgive herself for what had happened.

ABSTRACTION DESCRIPTION ⫻ Lisa's obsession with spiders and her headfirst dive into the macabre have allowed Lisa to develop three "pathways" for her spells. One path focuses on creating spider minions to assist her in various tasks, another alters her body to adopt traits from spiders, and a third path that she keeps her socially unacceptable spells. With these three "pathways," Lisa is a versatile and dangerous combatant with some extra spells.
THE SPIDER QUEEN ⫻ The Spider Queen is the "path" that harnesses the power of Gold Lux the most, but she channels the Green Lux in some of her spells. The Spider Queen "path" is the one path group that Lisa is the most proficient in and is thus her primary spell group.
Command ⫻ is the most crucial Spell in Lisa's Spider-Queen path. She channels her Golden Lux (with a dash of Green Lux) to exert her will over the spiders, overriding their instincts. She can command any Spider—possibly even Abominable, provided they do not have an Emotional Field!
Horde ⫻ With a flick of her wrist, Lisa utilizes her Golden Lux to summon a horde of spider minions to aid her. They can either crawl out of the shadows or the unseen crevices of a location, or they can burst out of the ground, walls, or ceiling (Which takes more effort). These spiders can vary in size and species, from tiny jumping to massive tarantulas. Lisa can pick and choose what spiders she summons; otherwise, it will summon a random assortment by default, and she can summon thousands. Utilizing the vital Command Spell, Horde is beneficial as a weapon and a tool.
Infestation ⫻ A particular spell that Lisa made to torment Olivia Ruiz for grabbing her titty that time. Unlike the Horde and Spider-Vomit spells, her Golden-Lux is used long range. If Lisa has been to a location or touched someone recently, she can summon thousands of spiders to that location, Horde. The Spiders quickly make themselves at home by weaving hundreds of different webs. This spell is purely a psychological tool, as the spiders are typically out of range of her other Spider-quieen spells.
Vomit ⫻ The first version of Horde spell that she developed before other Gold Lux users (Such as Kenshiro Murakin and Lionel Hunter) taught her more... efficient ways to cast this Spell (They just wanted her to stop vomiting Spiders). Simply put, she spews a flood of random Spiders from her mouth, alongside some bodily fluids (mainly saliva, some stomach acid, and a little blood!). Even though the Spell had primarily been retired, Lisa updated it to act more like a projectile weapon, as she could expel a flood of spiders on an opponent. She can spray these spiders up to five meters away - not super far, but enough to catch someone off guard.
Enlarge ⫻ One of Lisa's more "famous" spells in the Old Coven. Focusing her Green-Lux on a spider, she wraps it in a cocoon of magical webs. This process takes a few moments, but once it's done, the Spider could be up to the size of a sedan. Lisa primarily used this Spell to create a mount that she rode on, typically a Jumping Spider, as they were the fastest (and cutest).
Shrink ⫻ Lisa channels her Green-Lux to reverse the effects of her previous spells that enlarged spiders under her control. As she focused her will, a wave of Green Lux would wash over the Spiders, causing them to shrink back to their standard size with a series of unsettling pops and crackles.
Hybridization ⫻ Lisa delves into body modification using Green Lux, splicing together the physical forms of spiders and other insects to create grotesque hybrid creatures. Like her Enlarge Spell, she surrounds her spiders in a cocoon of magic webs for a few moments, and then they burst out as monstrous amalgamations of chitin. From the fierce mandibles of beetles to the aerial prowess of dragonflies, Lisa has the power to create an endless array of hybrid creatures, each more formidable and terrifying than the last. Legs elongate and split into segmented sections, wings sprout from backs, and exoskeletons shimmer with an otherworldly sheen as the spiders undergo their grotesque transformation.
Renewal ⫻ A Spell that Lisa devised before the Healing-Spider spell ironically (and got a lot of shit for it). With a gentle touch, Lisa can channel her Green Lux to restore her spider minions while she uses this Spell; a glowing web-like pattern briefly appears over the affected area. In moments, chitin will be bent back into place, wounds will be closed, and any other injuries will be restored until the Spider is as good as new!
Acid-Burst ⫻ Lisa mutates her spider minions with a modified digestive acid that she created herself, transforming them into corrosive bombs. The spiders grow horrific growths that glow with yellowish-orange liquid as they bulge with pent-up pressure—ready to pop. They will detonate with a blast of acid and chitin shrapnel either on command or if they are impacted enough, as they will be fragile. With horrifying efficiency, they unleash an acidic liquid that eats away at flesh and bone but is less effective on metal materials.
Healing-Spiders ⫻ Annoyed with learning a healing spell by the Old-Coven, as her Green-Lux was an asset in the fight against the Stygian Snake, Lisa developed a healing Spell. Jade West initially taught her a healing touch but struggled until she spruced it up with a macabre flair. Some minuscule, harmless-looking spiders will come from the pores in Lisa's flesh, and she can command them to "attack" another person. They will burrow underneath their flesh, disappearing to release a soothing, revitalizing energy that courses through the target's body, accelerating natural healing processes, repairing damaged tissues from within, stimulating regeneration, closing wounds, and alleviating pain. Once the process is done, the spiders vanish without a trace.
Chitionous-Spear ⫻ Lisa conjures a massive spider leg with a razor-sharp tip in the environment, creating a sort of spear that she can use as a weapon. This conjured spear can be summoned within her line of sight at a specific location, thrusting up from the ground or walls to impale enemies with deadly precision. The chitinous spear is formidable, capable of piercing through armor and causing significant damage. Once summoned, Lisa can mentally command the spear to strike repeatedly or hold an enemy in place, and she can summon up to five at a time.
Snare ⫻ Lisa channels her Green Lux to manifest spider webs in the environment, weaving them with incredible speed and precision. These webs can be created mid-air, across surfaces, or in specific locations to ensnare enemies, create barriers, or set traps. The webs are solid, capable of binding a grown man and leaving them helpless, and are sticky enough to immobilize almost anything that comes into contact with them. At the same time, she can safely traverse and climb on them without getting stuck. Lisa can shape the webs into various forms, such as large nets, thick barriers, bridges, cocoons, domes, etc. Lisa can also create intricate and layered webs by hand and direct her minions to assist in weaving webs when needed. These complex designs serve not only as formidable traps but also as works of art.
Gunk-Burst ⫻ Lisa developed this spell while in the Pit, which is explicitly designed to counter the Autoknights but can be used to disable any machinery. Lisa modifies her spider minions with a specialized binding agent to incapacitate even the most formidable mechanical foes like Autoknights. The spiders swell with a thick, tar-like substance that glows faintly green as it churns within them. Upon detonation—either on command or upon impact—the spiders explode into a sticky, viscous gunk. This substance rapidly expands, hardening on contact with metal surfaces, effectively jamming joints, clogging weapon mechanisms, and grounding the Autoknights in place. Though it doesn’t corrode like acid, the gunk is highly resistant to traditional cleaning methods, leaving the trapped Autoknights vulnerable to subsequent attacks.
Dispel ⫻ A simple spell in which, once Lisa no longer requires her Spider-Minions, she sends them away. They quickly scurry into the same depths they emerged from and disappear into thin air.
THE INNER-SPIDER ⫻ The Inner-Spider is a path in which Lisa alters her own body to adopt the traits of different Spiders. This "Path" exclusively harnesses Green-Lux as she applies different spells to herself and embraces her affinity's "primal" aspect. Lisa is not as proficient in this spell group as her Spider-Queen. However, she is very formidable with these spells.
Spider-Limbs ⫻ Lisa channels her Green-Lux to sprout eight spider-like legs from her back. These legs are sleek, black-colored, and chitinous, each tipped with razor-sharp claws capable of supporting her weight and immense agility. With her newfound appendages, Lisa can move with the grace and speed of a spider, scaling walls and ceilings with ease.
Eyes of the Spider ⫻ Lisa conjures forth additional eyes that sprout from her forehead, temples, and cheeks, granting her a panoramic view of her surroundings and a heightened awareness. These eyes can detect even the slightest movement; she can see in the dark, and her depth perception is enhanced to inhuman levels.
Regenerative-Cocoon ⫻ Lisa envelops herself in a cocoon of silk spun from her own body, imbued with Green-Lux, which accelerates her natural healing abilities. Within the cocoon, cuts knit themselves back together, bone is reformed, and all other wounds are healed. She can recover from being critically injured in under twenty minutes - at the cost of being a sitting duck and far more accessible to kill. Once it's done, Lisa emerges renewed and ready for action.
Wallcrawling ⫻ A Spell that Lisa has devised for the hell of it. Her Spider-Limbs spell is technically more powerful, but this Spell is faster and more subtle. At will, Lisa's hand and feet become covered in tiny, invisible spider hairs. When pressed against any surface, these hairs stick to it, allowing Lisa to scale walls and cling to ceilings.
Exoskeleton ⫻ Lisa channels her Green Lux to envelop herself in an armor of black chitin, mimicking the exoskeleton of a spider. This spell enhances her durability significantly, providing defense against physical attacks by forming interlocking plates that cover her entire body, including segmented joints for movement. The exoskeleton grants exceptional defense, absorbing and deflecting impacts to reduce damage from physical strikes and projectiles. If you're trying to punch her without super strength, you might as well be throwing cotton balls at her. However, the added weight and rigidity slow her movements, making her less agile and cumbersome. The armor's sleek, glossy black appearance reflects light, giving it a metallic look, and it forms quickly, growing out from her skin and hardening into a protective shell within seconds. She can create it around her entire body or selectively on certain limbs.
Revert ⫻ A simple spell in which Lisa undoes any transformation she has done to her body with spells from the Inner-Spider Path.
THE MACABRE ARTS ⫻ A path that harnesses Green-Lux primarily... and a pathway that Lisa keeps a secret as her alternate name for this personal discipline is the "Forbidden Spellbook." The Macabre Arts is a series of three spells Lisa has developed to inflict the most painful death on her object of obsession, Emily G. Reed, possibly. It's a pathway that Lisa has only dabbled in, doesn't actively use, and would only use it on the worst of the worst. However, these spells are socially unacceptable, even among the Paranormal, so Lisa keeps it a secret.
The Wretched Web ⫻ An "Ultimate" Spell that Lisa has developed (specifically designed to use on Emily), one that is incredibly potent but one she also knew a majority of the Old Coven wouldn't appreciate. When Lisa casts The Wretched Web, she extends her hand, spinning a net of webs composed of a thick, pulsating mass of human flesh that's her skin tone. These flesh-like webs adhere to whatever organic beings come in contact with, fusing to their flesh. This is only the beginning of their nightmare, as the spell morphs the victim into a massive egg sac, filling their bodies with millions of spiders that quickly reach maturity. With a sickening rupture, the victim bursts open, unleashing millions of spiders... ready to follow Lisa's every command.
Metamorphosis ⫻ This is another Spell that Lisa devised specifically to inflict a fate worse than death on her tormentor, Emily G. Reed. Lisa considers this a "forbidden" spell, as it's beyond the pale, not even in the war against the Stygian Snake. She experimented with this during the darkest hour against the Stygian Snake and, unfortunately, didn't get a chance to finish it. Using her Green Lux in a manner only supervillains would utilize it, Lisa can forcibly transform a subject into a grotesque hybrid of human and arachnid. The process is excruciatingly painful as the victim's body twists and bends into the shape of a spider, sprouting multiple extra limbs, fangs, and an exoskeleton. The result? Permanent disfigurement that could only be undone via magic - and Lisa did not find a way to revert a person to usual as, if she was going to use this Spell on someone, it was going to be used on the scum of the Earth (i.e., Emily). Lisa only tested this on animals - she never had the guts to test it on a person - however, she never considered that she needed to penetrate Emotional-Fields to work on Emily...
Parasitoid ⫻ Possibly the most sinister and subtle Spell of the Macabre Arts, revealing Lisa's sadistic side beneath her bubbly attitude. With a whisper and a touch, Lisa implants a tiny, parasitic spider egg into the body of her victim. Initially undetectable, the egg slowly incubates within its host, feeding off its victim as it grows larger and larger. It begins as an itch, but the victim experiences increasing weakness, fatigue, and mysterious symptoms over time as the spider larva matures and consumes bodily fluids from within. As the parasitic spider grows more prominent and voracious, it exerts control over the host's nervous system, causing unbearable pain, and once it finishes, the victim dies. A giant spider is born into the world after bursting out of what's left of the victim. The whole process takes around a month, and at will, Lisa can kill the spider and end the pain.
THE END OF LONELINESS (Joint-Casts) ⫻ More than a discipline, more than a Joint-Cast, The End of Loneliness represents Lisa finally getting what she always wanted: acceptance and people that love and care about her. A bond between the people Lisa is close to that is impossible to break.
The-Magical-Mecha-Spider! ⫻ A Joint-Cast between Lisa Turner, Ella Brooks, and Saskia Otten., creating a colossal metal spider that the three of them pilot like some type of weird Mecha. When the three of them get together, Lisa summons a notable swarm of metal spiders imbued with Ella's Orange Lux that build the Mecha's frame, and Saskia creates a massive armor made out of blood around it. When it's complete, the Mecha-Spider is enormous, thirty feet tall, and very odd yet menacing. Each girl operates a different function within the Mecha-Spider: Lisa controls the spider's movement and repairing it, Ella manages the offensive systems, allowing the Mecha-Spider to fire a powerful beam of light, and Saskia handles the defensive systems, controlling the Blood Armor and other projectiles. Saskia controls a cache of "blood missiles" in the spider's legs. These missiles are launched at enemies and explode into a mass of "Blood Bullets" that shoot in all directions. When the Spider is damaged, Lisa deploys a unique team of spiders that weave metal like silk. Despite The-Magical-Mecha-Spider!'s potential, it can only be maintained for thirty minutes before it falls apart, and the girls will not be able to use it for the rest of the day.
The-Discombobulate-Healing-Field! ⫻ Yet another Joint-Cast between Lisa Turner, Ella Brooks, and Saskia Otten, designed in the Old Coven to create a massive healing field in the fight against the Stygian Snake. The three girls stand in a triangle, aiming their hands at the center of the triangle, combining their unique Lux types to form a healing zone that is a testament to their diametric personalities. The field is a potent source of regenerative energy, but it also has a disturbing aspect. Still, all three combine their Green-Lux and insert a different aspect of their personality. Ella provides a bright, rainbow-colored light that illuminates the entire area with a vibrant glow and otherwise does nothing. Tiny spiders made of blood are automatically summoned throughout the field's radius and home in on anybody nearby. Once they reach their target, they burrow into their skin, releasing a healing compound that promotes speedy healing. The longer they remain in the field, the more these spiders will burrow into their skin, and the Trio can keep the healing field going as long as they stand in a triangle.
The Deathcrater ⫻ The Deathcrater is a formidable Joint-Cast technique devised by Lisa, Ella, and Saskia during their time in the Pit and designed to eliminate large groups of opponents or disable a single powerful enemy long enough for an escape. The spell begins with Lisa and Saskia standing side-by-side, their hands outstretched towards the ground. The earth beneath the enemy's feet starts to tremble and shake as if something monstrous is stirring below. This disturbance is caused by creating a complex web made from strands of webs made out of human flesh, pulsating with grotesque growths filled with Saskia's corrosive blood. The web rapidly weaves through soil or concrete, spreading like a deadly infection. Once the web is fully formed, Ella steps in, summoning a bolt of pink lightning that strikes the underground web, triggering an explosion, the explosion sends torrents of corrosive blood skyrocketing into the air and causes the ground to collapse into a massive sinkhole. Anything caught in the center of the blast is either killed instantly by the corrosive blood or trapped within the newly formed crater.
The All-Knowing Spider ⫻ The All-Knowing Spider is a Joint-Cast between Kari and Lisa that requires the two to hold hands, close their eyes, and focus - creating a gigantic glowing-white spider. Once the Spider is made, it establishes glowing white webs in its environment, which act as an information superhighway that absorbs the information in the surrounding area. As the spider expands its web, it gathers more and more information. Initially, it perceives immediate details such as recent events, notable objects, and any being present. As the spider's web expands, it gains deeper insights, such as hidden rooms, detect any recent usage of Abstractions, activity patterns (such as paths and routines of beings within its range), etc. After an extended period, the All-Knowing Spider reaches its full potential, gaining near-omniscient knowledge of the entire area, giving it near-infinite information about its location. By touching the Spider, Lisa and Kari establish a link between themselves and the spider and gain all the information it collects. However, they have to be very careful, or else they will face an information overload and have to absorb the information in short bursts. The All-Knowing Spider has plenty of useless information about their current that they must also process. This spider is the size of a small house, and the two can telepathically command it, but they have to work together to move it. However, the Spider is incredibly slow, and by leaving the area, it will lose all the information it has gathered as the webs will disappear. The All-Knowing Spider is also wholly defenseless.
Trillion-Eyes ⫻ A powerful observation tool that requires Kari and Lisa to Joint-Cast. To cast, the two must hold hands and touch foreheads, causing a white light to travel from Kari to Lisa... temporarily turning each of Lisa's spiders into a miniature observation point. Each spider minion gains a miniature observation point, enabling Kari to see and hear through them as Lisa commands them. Thus, this spell requires cohesion between Lisa and Kari, as the former has to position them carefully to maximize their effectiveness. Lisa's ability to summon thousands of spiders at a time allows them to create an expansive network. However, the more spiders used, the more strain it places on Kari's mind, potentially leading to information overload. To lessen this risk, Kari can focus on specific observation points at a time and filter the information she receives.
Prismatic Swarm ⫻ Or "Crack Spiders," as Lisa likes to call them, is a Joint-Cast between Lisa and Ella that imbues Lisa's spider minions with Ella's Prismatic lights. The Joint Cast begins with Lisa summoning her spiders, and Ella imbues them, making them glow with pulsating multi-colored waves of light. With this imbueing, the spiders are far faster, stronger, and tougher for a short period, which can make all the difference in confrontations.
Radiant Arachnia ⫻ A combination of Ella's Light Manipulation, and Lisa's mastery over spiders, this Joint-Cast begins with the two of them facing each other and then they join hands. Once activated, they are surrounded by a robust weave of iridescent lights that form a web-light barrier around them, and they can create the barrier in any shape they can imagine - they have to be in unison with its shape, or else it will fall apart. This barrier is powerful enough to tank most physical attacks, but that's not all; anything solid that touches it will get stuck. The barrier takes shape, and the two of them can emit powerful flare-like projectiles that burst in a blinding light - and can be used to stun foes or illuminate areas.
Blood Rain ⫻ A potent and incredibly disturbing Joint-Cast between Lisa and Saskia. The spell begins with Lisa summoning massive, pulsating spiders with bloated sacs full of blood into the sky. Then, Saskia channels her magic through these spiders, causing them to explode and rain blood down on the environment. These blood droplets are far from ordinary; each carries corrosive and binding properties. The blood can melt through armor upon contact, and after a few moments, it solidifies, binding whatever it touches and creating a hazardous zone.
The Death Blow ⫻ A Joint-Cast so brutal it borders on being a war crime. To execute this spell, Lisa conjures a massive spider while Saskia simultaneously forges a colossal bone spear. The two synchronize their efforts; Saskia loads the spear into the spider's maw, and Lisa commands the spider to launch it with incredible force toward their target. Upon impact, the spear embeds itself into the foe and explodes into thousands of bone shards that spray acid in all directions. This devastating attack shreds the target and ravages the surrounding environment, ensuring the brutal death of anything lacking particular durability and annihilating everything nearby.
Laceration ⫻ When this spell is cast, Saskia creates two special blood blades infused with Green Lux and hands one to Lisa. The two must coordinate and attack their target simultaneously. If they strike the target immediately, their combined Green Lux penetrates the victim's Emotional-Field, forcibly tearing open a massive wound. This wound will spray copious amounts of blood into the air like a geyser, as the Green Lux generates extra blood for dramatic effect.
LIMITS ⫻
THE SPIDER QUEEN ⫻ The effectiveness of Lisa's spider-based spells may be influenced by environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, and terrain. Specific environments may be more conducive to the proliferation and activity of spiders, while others may hinder their mobility or effectiveness. Lisa can only command her spiders when she is in a range of around fifteen meters of them - if she is out of this range, they will do nothing until she gets close enough to command them. Lisa can summon thousands of Spiders at a time; the more spiders she summons, the more energy she consumes until she is completely drained of stamina. Otherwise, Lisa is not limited to how many spiders she can summon at a time, summon trillions of spiders, and then immediately pass out. She cannot summon spiders from places given to a person; if they are, she'll have to expend more energy by having them burst out of a wall/ceiling/floor. Lisa can only have one infestation spell at a time and must dispel them to summon another. The Infestation spell has a limit of a day for her to cast it in any place or on any person she has encountered. Otherwise, there is no range limit, and she could, theoretically, use infestation on the opposite side of the planet (or even a different dimension!).
Lisa could only cast Spider-Vomit once every few minutes and could not control what type of spider she spews. When using her Hybridization and Enlarge Spells, it takes a few moments for them to take effect, and these are a few moments that Lisa needs to focus on and concentrate on. This leaves her and the Spiders vulnerable for a few moments. Lisa can only Enlarge up to five spiders at a time, but that requires so much energy, and she prefers to stick to one. Lisa can Hybridize up to a hundred regular spiders at a time but can only Hybridize a single Enlarged one. Lisa can only Hybridize her Spiders with one insect at a time. The acid created from Acid-Burst is more effective at dissolving flesh and bone than inorganic materials such as metal - thus, even the most basic armor is effective against it. The Spiders with Acid-Burst cast on them will explode automatically after a few moments, and anyone can cause a premature explosion with a ranged attack. She cannot undo the Acid Burst Spell, and they will have to explode.
Lisa can only summon a finite number of Healing Spiders at a time. Typically, she can command a swarm large enough to address several moderate injuries or one severe wound. Once all the spiders have been deployed, she must wait for a cooldown of around twenty minutes before summoning them again. The Healing Spiders also do not work on her at all. The Chitinous Spears can only be summoned in a range of around fifteen meters and must be within her line of sight. There's a brief delay between the summoning of the spear and its materialization, and the spears need solid surfaces from which to thrust. She can only summon five spears at a time and must remove some to summon more. In addition, the spears will begin to crumble after a few moments. Snare can only be used in a range of around five meters, and while its casting time is fast, larger and more complex webs require time. The webs will also dissolve after a few minutes. The gunk from Gunk Spiders doesn’t harden instantly. It takes a few seconds (5–10) to solidify fully, giving quick-thinking enemies or nearby allies a brief window to react and attempt to dislodge the spiders before the gunk takes effect. After using Gunk-Burst, Lisa must wait before sending out another batch of spiders.
THE INNER-SPIDER ⫻ Lisa cannot instantly transform her body and requires a few moments to apply the changes - and in this state, she will be stationary and vulnerable to surprise attacks. Again, altering Lisa's body and maintaining it takes energy. Lisa can only retain her spider-like traits for a limited duration (around a few hours) before returning to her normal state. Once the duration expires, Lisa must wait for a cooldown before she can transform again. The more changes to her body that she has applied, the shorter the duration (up to thirty minutes). Lisa can only use the Regenerative Cocoon once a day. The exoskeleton takes a few seconds to form fully and requires continuous energy to maintain, which will exhaust her over time.
THE MACABRE ARTS ⫻ Wretched Web has a relatively short range of around four meters. This Spell only works on organic beings, and she can only cast it once a day. In her obliviousness, Lisa never thought that her Metamorphosis Spell would need to penetrate Emotional-Fields. Thus, at the moment, it cannot work on the Paranormal until she finds some way to penetrate them. She cannot use this Spell in a fight, as she requires stamina, concentration, and constant physical contact to cast. The Spell could take hours to fully transform a person, so she also needs to restrain or pacify them long enough. All in all, this Spell is just impractical. The Parasitoid spell can only be cast in one person at a time, and Lisa has to touch them first - and it has to be skin-to-skin contact. Wherever Lisa touches them, that is where the Parasitoid is, and it cannot travel and will eventually be noticed by the host and could be killed.
END OF LONELINESS ⫻
The-Magical-Mecha-Spider! ⫻ The creation and control of the Mecha-Spider drains a considerable amount of energy from Lisa, Ella, and Saskia, leaving them physically and mentally exhausted after its use. The Mecha-Spider can only be maintained for thirty minutes before it falls apart, leaving them vulnerable. The three can only cast this Joint-Cast once a day.
The-Discombobulate-Healing-Field! ⫻ The field has a radius of 40 meters, and drains significant energy from the three. Eventually, they will collapse due to exhaustion. The three can only cast this joint cast once a day.
The All-Knowing Spider ⫻ The All-Knowing-Spider doesn't instantly gain information, and needs to be in a single location for hours before it gains near-omniscience. If the All-Knowing Spider leaves its current location and moves to a new one, it will lose all the information it gathered from the previous location and have to start all over.
Trillion-Eyes ⫻ The more spiders used in the observation network, the greater the strain on Kari's mind, potentially leading to information overload or mental fatigue.
Prismatic Swarm ⫻ The enhanced abilities of Lisa's spiders granted by Ella's Prismatic lights only last for a short period around five minutes, and there's a cooldown of five more minutes before it can be cast again.
Radiant Arachnia ⫻ The Radiant Arachnia's barrier can only be maintained for a short duration before dissipating, leaving Lisa and Ella vulnerable to attacks once it collapses. Maintaining the barrier requires a significant physical and mental effort from Lisa and Ella, causing exhaustion and fatigue if sustained for too long. The barrier's effectiveness diminishes if Lisa and Ella lose line of sight with each other, making it essential for them to maintain visual contact to sustain it. It can be cast once an hour.
Blood Rain ⫻ The Blood Rain spell can be cast anywhere within a hundred-meter radius, and covers a twenty meter radius. Blood Rain requires a certain ambient moisture level in the atmosphere to function effectively. Its potency is reduced in arid environments, limiting its effectiveness in certain locations. It can be cast once every thirty minutes
The Death Blow ⫻ While the venomous bone shards of The Death Blow are devastating upon impact, their potency diminishes rapidly over time. After a short duration, the acid loses its lethality until it's completely harmless. The Spear can only travel up to forty meters, and once it goes outside that range, it will embed into the ground but will not explode. They can only cast this joint cast once an hour.
Laceration ⫻ The success of Laceration depends on Lisa and Saskia's ability to coordinate this attack perfectly. However, they only have a brief window of opportunity to synchronize their strikes, making precise timing crucial. If their timing is slightly off, they will fail to penetrate the target's Emotional-Field, rendering the spell useless.
The Deathcrater ⫻ The Death Crater can only be cast on the ground level. If they are not on ground level, they cannot cast it, and it requires a clear open sky for Ella to trigger the explosion. It must be initiated on stable ground to weave the web effectively; unsuitable terrain limits its usability. Creating the Death Crater on more complex surfaces such as concrete is more challenging. The Death Crater can be cast in a radius of around thirty-meters and can only be cast once an hour. It takes a few moments to cast, but in those few moments, the three are left vulnerable, and once they begin casting, they have to commit to it and cannot cancel it.
WEAKNESSES ⫻ It's probably not a weakness. Still, most people would find Lisa's spellbook just a little bit unnerving - especially the more macabre spells she has developed.
THE SPIDER QUEEN ⫻ Lisa's primary weaknesses to her Spider-Queen are elemental magic (fire, ice, electricity, etc), or any magic that has an area of effect. Thermal-based elemental magic will make quick work of her Spider-Minions, and area-of-effect magic will flatten her hordes of spiders. Using Spider-Vomit, she loses body fluids and food and could either starve or dehydrate herself. While she uses the Enlarge and Hybridization spells, her Spiders are extra vulnerable in the cocoon and are far easier to kill. Hybridization comes with its own set of weaknesses depending on what she splices her spiders with. Her most common hybrid - a giant spider with wings - is incredibly loud and makes it enormously hard to hear (along with hurting her ears). The Acid-Burst Spell can affect friend and foe alike, and if Lisa isn't careful, the acid can kill her too! Also, thermal damage cancels the Spell outright and destroys the acid. Webs created by Snare are highly flammable and vulnerable to corrosive substances, which can kill or weaken her webs. To cast Snare, Lisa has to be immobile for a few moments. Gunk Spiders are especially vulnerable to water or humid environments, where the substance might fail to harden completely or lose its adhesive properties over time, reducing its effectiveness. Exposure to intense heat can soften or dissolve the gunk, potentially freeing machines equipped with flamethrowers or heat-based tools. If Lisa’s spiders are destroyed prematurely or if they explode too close to her or her allies, the gunk can incapacitate friendly forces or even herself.
THE INNER-SPIDER ⫻ Lisa will be stationary while she applies the changes with her Inner-Spider and could be ambushed. If she is interrupted in this state, she will be in a state of incomplete transformation and will have to revert to normal to restart the process. Transforming her physical appearance using spells from the "Inner-Spider" path can tax Lisa, especially if she maintains the transformation for an extended period. When she pushes herself too hard or relies too heavily on her spider-like enhancements, she experiences intense physical exhaustion and fatigue. Her muscles ache, and her joints ache with pain as the strain of maintaining her altered form takes its toll. In severe cases, she may even suffer from muscle cramps, spasms, or injuries due to overexertion.
The enhanced senses and abilities granted by spells from the "Eyes of the Arachnid" Spell can sometimes overwhelm Lisa, causing sensory overload and disorientation. They also leave her susceptible to sensory overload in situations of extreme stimuli. Bright lights can overwhelm her senses, causing disorientation, confusion, and even debilitating migraines. In these moments, Lisa may find it difficult to concentrate or make sense of her surroundings, leaving her vulnerable to attack by her enemies. While it heals her remarkably fast, Lisa's Regenerative Cocoon leaves her as a sitting duck, and she is far more vulnerable in this state. The added weight and rigidity of the Exoskeleton significantly slow her movements, making her less agile and heavier. While durable, the joints and gaps between the chitin plates can be targeted by precise attacks. The exoskeleton absorbs heat, making her susceptible to fire-based attacks and causing discomfort in high-temperature environments.
THE MACABRE ARTS ⫻ The whole big point of the Macabre Arts is that they are spells that Lisa would not like people to know as they are the spooky, body-horror spells that are socially unacceptable. In many cases, Lisa would not use the spells, but the fallout would not be pretty if her friends found them out. People would have a hard time trusting Lisa from here on. While the Wretched Web is resistant to physical attacks, it is highly susceptible to fire. Exposure to flames causes the flesh to ignite and burn rapidly, weakening the structure of the web and causing it to collapse. While the Wretched Web effectively restrains enemies, it also sacrifices Lisa's mobility, as she must remain stationary to keep the web intact. This weakness leaves her vulnerable to attacks from enemies not trapped in the web, as she cannot move freely or evade incoming threats while concentrating on maintaining the Spell. The Metamorphosis Spell is, unfortunately, very situational despite being capable of disfiguring someone permanently. Extreme temperatures, electricity, etc., can easily kill the Parasitoid, and the host can stab the spider with a knife to kill it.
END OF LONELINESS ⫻
The-Magical-Mecha-Spider! ⫻ The The-Magical-Mecha-Spider! is incredibly large and slow, it has little mobility options to off-set this, so against a faster opponent it's useless. The Mecha-Spider's frame is not structurally sound, and its components are prone to malfunction or collapse under stress, posing a risk to the Magical Girls inside.
The-Discombobulate-Healing-Field! ⫻ The healing field can only be sustained as long as the three remain in a triangle formation, limiting their mobility options. If too many healing spiders burrow into a single target, it can lead to unintended consequences such as accelerated cell growth, causing mutations or uncontrollable regeneration. The Field will heal everyone within the field, friend and foe alike.
The All-Knowing Spider ⫻ Maintaining a telepathic link with the All-Knowing Spider places a significant mental strain on Lisa and Kari, potentially leading to mental fatigue, headaches, or temporary loss of consciousness. The All-Knowing Spider is also incredibly slow and defenseless, along with being fragile, it can be easily destroyed. Once destroyed, Kari and Lisa will experience significant metal shock and pass out.
Trillion-Eyes ⫻ The strain of processing information from multiple observation points simultaneously can overwhelm Kari's mind, leading to temporary loss of focus or cognitive impairment.
Prismatic Swarm ⫻ The enhancement granted by Ella's Prismatic lights is temporary and unstable, causing Lisa's spiders to undergo unpredictable changes in behavior or physiology during combat.
Blood Rain ⫻ Lisa and Saskia are not immune to the effects of the Blood Rain, and can be easily affected by it if they are not careful. Casting Blood Rain drains a significant amount of Lisa and Saskia's blood, leading to physical weakness and potential fainting if used excessively. The Spell can be considered socially unacceptable and alienate their allies due to its brutality.
The Death Blow ⫻ The two are vulnerable while casting it as they need a few minutes to prepare the spell, and if interrupted they will have to start over. Faster opponents can speed-blitz them, and dodge the bone spear. They are not immune to the toxic fragments and can easily kill themselves if they use this joint cast in close quarters. After casting this spell, all of their spells will be weaker. The Spell can be considered socially unacceptable and alienate their allies due to its brutality.
Laceration ⫻ By penetrating someone's Emotional-Field, they will drop their own Emotional-Field for a short period and leave themselves vulnerable to external magic. After casting this spell, all of their spells will be weaker. The Spell can be considered socially unacceptable and alienate their allies due to its brutality.
The Deathcrater ⫻ Creating the underground web and triggering the explosion leaves Lisa, Ella, and Saskia stationary and vulnerable to surprise attacks or interruption. The explosion and the corrosive blood do not differentiate between friend and foe and can easily hinder a battle if cast foolhardily.

Lisa had a journal detailing the story of her life up until her death at the hands of the Stygian Snake. It included her thoughts on the various Coven members and the members of the Old Coven she had feelings for, which got very... spicy.
