@Metronome she's actually quite eloquent in her native tongue. But the grammar of English is quite different -- and she learned most of it in a very haphazard way. Her accent is far more singing than grunt.

@madmonarchist Where does her title of holy roman empress come from? Is Holy Roman Empire another name for the nation? And what does HMR stand for? It's interesting that it was established as an empire but only ~100 years ago. I'm guessing this was probably a political move as opposed to a military one (though the military might have been involved).

"No!" Rhylaen made a slashing motion with one hand in a clear gesture of denial. "He attack, I can defend. But if want trust, need show trust." Wearing a suit would make her look like all the others that had tried entering the room, and besides they were bulky and uncomfortable. There was no point in her being different if she looked the same. She handled cold better than her human friends, at least in terms of atmospheric temperature. The pair of gloves she'd brought with would be plenty of protection, or so she figured. Of course, there was also the matter of placating the men of science. If she just went in without coming to an agreement, she'd never be allowed back in. "Give to Agent-Day, she come with," she suggested, as a way of appeasing them. "And I wear gloves, jacket." She held up the items she'd brought with, her poncho-like jacket with the slit for her wings, and her winter gloves. "Warm suits be scary. Look like monsters, if you not know what it is. Better to look like me. Yes?"

The apprentice had deprived the beast of its head, yet still it tried to reach them. Even Shiara's warding was taxed by the dark magic animating the body. A twinge like a half-remembered nightmare tugged at her thoughts, but didn't resolve into anything of use. Whatever it was, it was old, maybe even older than some of the traditions she upheld.

For the moment all she could do was watch the knights and the lady fighter dismember their various opponents. She had nothing to use as a weapon aside from the shovel that she still held in her off hand. Even if she'd had a proper weapon, she was no fighter. Her strength lay in her magics, and she'd be a poor match for the beasts even with Kem's help.

@alexfangtalon maybe put "interested in females" instead of just female? Gotta say, if that was what @ayzrules had as examples I'm gonna have to tease her about it. As for being warlike, I guess that's alright. IC it's politically questionable but OOC you've got a solid justification.
