Lucienne

Second Night... Let's try this again... Residential District, Moving on Out of the Homely Workshop!

Uwaaaaaaaa~ Lucienne felt like banging her head against a wall. She had been quite a fool and now she could only wish that she could have realised that sooner.

Why on earth did I spend all that time chatting and hanging around damn it...

A snort of derision at herself escaped her. She hadn't planned well for her night of work with Caster and it had shown that. She had got some of what she wanted done but by the dusk she was left feeling like a clown.

Alright. That's it! Tonight i'm going to search this city for anything with any value in it! But first...
She placed a finger delicately on her chin.

"Caster we are heading out again. I do hope that those fellows from last night had the same idea as us." She called out to her servant.

With haste she moved out of the house once more with her companion. This time there had been some measures made just in case, even if they didn't return for tonight there shouldn't be too much to worry about.

Well except for whoever was responsible for that showed up... She angrily dug her hands into her pockets for a moment. Even if she had just been careless she would blame this on a mysterious being until she was proven otherwise.

A forced smile spread across her face. What a foul mood she was in tonight.

The young master of Bordeaux began her journey back to the location of that meeting last night. As she ground her teeth, hard enough that they might be turned to dust...

Hector

Apartment Workshop, Core District

"As you wish master..."

That was all that Hector had to say before he left the studio apartment. It seemed that tonight he had not need to even wait around like before for the fight to come to him. He wondered what servant he would be meeting with now. Could it be the same one as last night?

He hoped if it was then they weren't too upset about what took place. Well it would be rather humorous if they were.

Hector now stood opposing the enemy pair with Durandina in hand once more, in it's 'pilum' form.

"Well first of all, from one old man to another, if you really do intend to not get yourself involved in the fight just like you suggested. It's best to make a bit of distance. I would offer that me and your servant would move but well... I'm going to have things move a bit quicker than I would like this time around." Hector wore a modest smile as he spoke. His words bore no ill will, this was merely part of the Holy Grail War after all. Only if the master of the servant he would be fighting did indeed stick around then there wasn't really any promising he wouldn't get hurt depending on how things played out.

"Well... I guess i'll start eh?"

Readying his spear Hector took the plunge forward at the enemy servant, making sure to use all the distance that his weapon allowed him. How does this one fight I wonder? Will they be as tricky as the last?

And so his second encounter of the grail war began with him taking the initiative.

Lucienne

Home Sweet Home, Residential District

Lucienne and her servant had managed to leave the fight that had broken out during her negotiations that had been going rather peacefully. It seemed like servants were showing up one after the other. Well... They were. But she was wondering if that trend had continued on after her departure from the place.

But now it was back to Lucienne and her servant being alone. Although having a rather confident feeling of security she was now rather wary of her surroundings. Making sure that her guard isn't lowered and she is always on the lookout for enemy masters. Or just enemies in general. Of course she would leave looking out for her servants to her own as Caster was far superior in that regard.

"It seems that our best course of action would be to try and reconvene with those two pairs in the coming nights Caster. If we can work together with that lot then there shouldn't be too much to worry about." Lucienne made sure to communicate through the mental link with her servant. They were alone but even then she had come to think one couldn't be too careful. Perhaps she had already given up too much information tonight as well. However she still believed that was the correct decision, it allowed trust to be built between both parties. She will just have to bear and of the consequences that come along with the information that was divulged.

Well in the short term at least... She thought to herself, continuing the line of thought that she was communicating to her servant to herself.

Nonetheless tonight was a resounding success in her mind. She didn't need to waste any of her energy in skirmishes and had made more connections than she had hoped. And now she could enjoy a quiet stroll home with her servant. Perhaps they can go sightseeing another night.

Returning to the street where her residence and workshop had been arranged she noticed that the lights in the neighbouring houses were now off. Everyone must have went to bed. It was rather late now after all. But as she opened the door she kept in mind that she had just a few more things to do tonight. Perhaps if things went well she would even stay up to continue her work. She held the door open for Caster to enter first. A polite gesture to her companion.

"I will be only a moment Marguerite, I have a quick phone call to make." Now Lucienne spoke aloud. She was safe within her own workshop. Although it could do with some fortifying...

But for now she made her way into the living room on the bottom floor. She had requested for the house to be laid out so that the ground floor was to be a purely normal, residential, family setting while the first floor would act as her study and workshop. And of course now her servants too.

Lucienne dialed in the same number as she had before to reach her contact, this time in a lot less inexperienced manner. If anyone were to see her she would have seemed to be as used to the phone just as any other Parisian would have been... As it should have been already really but she couldn't help that she had grown up with a weakness to modern technology. If only her parents had exposed her to it a bit more.

"Ahem, Mademoiselle are you there??" The deep voice called out from the phone.

"Oh. Yes sorry about that Monsieur my mind had slipped off for a moment. I just had some requests to make of you if you would be so kind to hear them."

She heard a reserved sigh from the other end. "Well of course you have mademoiselle, after all why else would you have called me?"

"Wow. That is rather harsh no Monsieur? You are a good friend of my family!" She responded as if she had been hurt by the implication although she hadn't really denied it.

"Yes. Yes. I know. Now just say what it is you want." Lucienne grinned at the response.

"Well it's nothing too big... Well it is actually. If you are able then could you please try and get a hold of some... Err... Well how do I put this now..." She pondered the matter out loud over the phone.

"Mademoiselle your family has always been a unique friend of mine to say the least. Whatever it is just say and I shall try my best."

"Ah yes, of course Monsieur. I knew that I just wished to be respectful. You see I would like you to transport some animals that have passed on so to say. Whether it be from a vet or a shelter anything works really." With permission from Monsieur Bogdanoff she began to speak rather matter of factly. She was generally rather careful with how she phrased things and wished to speak in a way that would not offend others. But now she was requesting something as a magus and so she just said what she had to.

"And along with that if you can get a hold of any gems or crystals then could you send them here as well Monsieur. My family will be very grateful for this."

"No worries mademoiselle. I will see what I can do. If you will allow me I will get right to it."

And with that the phone call ended. She would find out soon enough if Monsieur Bogdanoff had managed to achieve what she had asked but for now she would turn her attention to upstairs. With her servant.

"So... What should we make first eh Caster? Perhaps something to add a bit of Resistance to Magecraft? Or maybe something more offensive eh? If you will take me on as your student then I shall love to learn anything from you Teacher!" Enthusiastic she made her way upstairs. After all when disregarding the grail and the second ownership of Paris. This was a once and a lifetime opportunity in of itself.

Hector

A Quick End, Core District, Eiffel Tower.

For a duel between servants Hector certainly seemed off. Too relaxed for what might be expected. Although this encounter was more like a play fight to begin with. He was willing to let his opponent take their time, of course rushing right up to them and applying pressure through sheer force of speed and power could also be an option. But perhaps that is for another time, for another opponent. Yet still the ground beneath him felt a little more pressure on it from Hector, ready to move in a burst of movement. Well that was until he noticed something...

Who is that...? A sense of foreboding washed over Hector although he did not show it on his face.

I have a bad feeling about this...

It was a familiar feeling, one that he had experienced multiple times throughout his life. Or was it just at that moment? Either way the source of this ominous pressure was sure to be from her. He was reliving that moment in his head... It had cost him the duel... If it was not for her then perhaps he could have been victorious. Perhaps he could have saved Troy yet. He looked for the source of that pressure. But...

"Nggggggnh." A grunt from the distracted servant! What kind of a fool am I! Hector admonished his own actions as the strange armament managed to nudge his sword ever so slightly. Yet he still managed to block the projectile that was hidden after it.

Just what kind of soldier am I?! While disappointed with himself, on the surface Hector was still as calm as ever. Carefree as he gently dabbed his own forehead with his index and middle fingers.

"Nyehehe" Well that toy of yours certainly is something but I am afraid something like that won't work again son!" Now displaying a daring grin he exploded in movement in response to the charge. He was moving to the side and forward, making full use of his agility.

Although he was paying attention to he man atop the horse that was not his target in this engagement. He would cut the legs right out from under it's rider! And well a trick of his own shouldn't be too bad!

"Sorry about this son but going forward you should leave your animal friends at home!" The length of Durandina extended in his hands. Now as a spear he would slice at the legs of his opponents mount while keeping himself out of the reach of it's riders attack.

If the attack was successful he planned to continue moving forward and "disengage" from the encounter.

Lucienne

A retreat back to base, Residential District

"Well... We shall leave things to you lot for tonight." Lucienne spoke calmly to those who she had been previously holding negotiations with. "Since it's a bit late for exchanging numbers or anything like that I suppose we will have to show up somewhere around here Monsieurs..." Or something like that she thought. She felt like if she came back to this place tomorrow night turns with not end well. There was too many eyes on them already, it was no doubt only going to bring more attention to this area from now.

"Caster it's time for us to head back. We didn't get to go sight seeing but I am satisfied with how things have turned out for now." She spoke to her servant personally through their mental link. She had a busy day planned for tomorrow but to get things started with the time they had left tonight was not a bad idea either. I'll have to try and pick up as much as possible from Caster. They seem pleased with a teacher role as well so I doubt she will mind much.

And so Lucienne retreated from the now rather lively area. Content to let whatever skirmish there take place while she heads back to the safety of her arrangements.

"Au revoir my friends." Seemed to be fine parting words enough.

Hector

The Duel Under the Tower Continues!

Wait.. hang on a moment what is he doing now? Hector took a few steps as a response to this odd occurrence. It seemedthat he had misjudged this one. If you are gonna draw your sword use your sword... Looks like the people 'round here have their own style of fighting. He wouldn't make this miscalculation again though. And really it was not something that put him at a disadvantage or anything like that, he was just thinking of a more traditional duel. In truth Hector was not a fan of duels anyway...

"Hah! No apologies needed son. This old man isn't going to be going away anytime soon!" Hector spoke as he lifted Durandina, the handle now above his head so that the blade may cover his body. He was wholly confident that his sword could handle anything that was thrown it's way. Whether it be the thrown weapon or the projectile that it was masking. Of course even there was more to come after that Hector's choice of action would not have changed.

Of course with the outcome of his defensive manoeuvre settled before it happened in his own mind. He kept his eye on his opponent rather than what they had thrown his way. That was the amount of trust that Hector had in his sword. After all if it wasn't something along the lines of that shield then he should be able to hold out just fine.

It seemed that his opponent was preparing a charge... Well he would decide whether to evade or meet them on that when the time comes...

Lucienne

The Negotiations Continue, Residential-Latin District

This man was a curious one. Sure plenty of magi could be described as strange people but even among a population like that there was a few that stood out still. Here's to hoping the guys not a psycho I suppose... Although by the way the guy was glaring at her it didn't instil much hope for that notion if any at all.

She stood and listened intently to what this man had to say. To what 'Noon' had to say rather. Well that certainly is an odd name, wonder who gave him that. Might be a title though.

Perhaps it is best to start things off with an introduction hmm.

"Well Monsieur Triswich... I am Lucienne, Head of the Arouet-Rousseau's and I call Bordeaux my home. Although I have also come over to Paris from Britain, I am a student at the clocktower you see, perhaps we might cross paths there after everything is said and done." She thought it best to continue in an open and friendly manner, even though it seemed to be that Noon had some intention to mock her a little, or maybe he was just prodding to see how she would react. Well whatever it is it doesn't matter much.

"I am fine with however you want to refer to this cooperation between us Monsieur Triswich, alliance seemed to be quite convenient for even what you proposed in response however~. As for your second point I see no problem with that, it would help both of us to help each other no? Also I intend to avoid deaths altogether if possible if you don't mind me saying, sure it's called the 'Holy Grail War' but hey I have the rest of my life to live as well right? Don't throw your life away for anything fleeting Monsieur!" It was more than probable that she had said quite a bit more than she needed too. But perhaps that would warm this strange man up to her, if not well. Can't win them all eh?

"Unfortunately on that third point there I would have to ask that we discuss it further. You see I have already established my own place to workout of as well. The fourth point is completely fine with me though, if I were going to try and do you any harm I wouldn't have requested that we avoided a conflict. And i'm not the type of woman to be scheming in the shadows either." For some reason an image of herself cackling like a witch came into mind. Hey now does this guy think I am some kind of evil villain trying to pull the wool over his eyes?

And just as that thought left her mind it happened again...

Another one...

She turned to look at the Servant who had just arrived, yelling out his greetings to the group below. But well... Something felt rather positive about this one. He seemed friendly enough and if this is how he is starting things out his master must be rather agreeable too!

"Hey there! The name is Lucienne by the way! I would love for you to join us kind hero! Your master could come and talk with us too if they aren't too shy! Ah it seemed that even if one negotiation went south then she could have a second chance with this one.

And here's to think I was thinking of spending this night scrunched up inside. You made a great choice Lucienne! Perhaps it was too early on to be congratulating herself but well, she was rather happy with how things seemed to be turning out.

Hector

Extravagant Duel under Tour Eifel!

Well one of them certainly seems to be enjoying themselves... Hector thought as he looked on, stifling a little yawn that fought to escape from his mouth. Although it seemed like he was lazing about he was actually quite good at looking closely at things like this. He may not have been fighting either of the two servants personally but it allowed him somewhat of a second hand idea of what he would need to expect if he were to fight them. Of course this was nothing more than a skirmish with neither side playing all their cards. Honestly he would be surprised if it was anything other than that especially with the engagement being so out in the open.

What't that now?

His attention was ripped away from the fight between servants and to a newly approaching one. Of course he had already sensed that this new arrival was drawing closer but a part of him hoped that they would be content with enjoying the show for at least a little while. Wellll welllll welll. Looks like one was drawn in after all...

He shot a lighthearted smile to the servant with the curious way of speaking. "Satisfaction eh? Well this old man will certainly try.
Don't bully me too much now nyehehe."
A friendly but slightly mischievous giggle to end his introduction seemed to fit well with the situation.

Quite a delicate looking sword there... Hector thought eyeing the drawn rapier. Well I suppose they might appreciate it if I were to meet them in kind." And so Durandina Spade materialised within his hand once more as Hector carefully took a few steps back before entering a kind of exaggerated stance to gesture that he was ready. "Let's have fun with this now shall we, eh son?" Hector definitely seemed cheery with his grin all throughout this. Of course his movements were not only to signal his readiness for the challenge but also to leave space open for him to take his leave if that ever became necessary...

Lucienne

Stopped In Their Tracks, Residential-Latin District

"Aha yes, tonight is quite the wonderfu-" Lucienne stopped herself mid sentence due to the sudden appearance of their visitors.

"Hmmm, about time huh Marguerite?" She spoke to her Servant calmly and coolly, it was a smooth and confident tone but not one devoid of caution. Lucienne was a woman who had respect for her own abilities but also had a realistic view of them. If she had to defend herself she did not doubt that she could perhaps hold off any master that she may come across for at least a brief period of time. And if not then hopefully she had enough to at least cause a distraction to her pursuer, if only momentarily.

Her eyes fixated on the master who had approached them. "Caster, I trust you to deal with the enemy servant if it comes to it." She spoke to her servant with her mind this time rather than her tongue.

"Slow down a bit now Monsieur, neither of us are in a rush here~." She raised one hand to wave at the master opposing them while the other rested in her jacket pocket... Conveniently taking grasp of some of her gems that she had prepared for events like these.

"You are indeed correct to some extent Monsieur, in the end there can only be one victor... Although that would be the case if this were your normal grail war! There would seem to be two prizes here for us masters to fight for." And so Lucienne began her attempt at negotiations with the opposing master. It couldn't hurt to try could it?

"And of course there are plenty of more pairs than me and my servant here. Do you not think it would be best if we were to work together, at least for a little while? With two servants we could certainly learn more tonight than either of us could on our own Monsieur!" And so there it was, the offer was placed out. Of course part of her didn't expect this one to really pay much mind to diplomacy, they seemed rather gung-ho about the whole situation from the start.

With a click of her tongue Lucienne tells herself Ah well... I am sure there are other, more reasonable masters even if this one isn't.

Hector

Studio Apartment > Out towards that tower!, Core District.

@ManyThings(@GreenGoat @BlueHelix Hector will be watching you from a distance ^_^)

The weapon that was held by Hector disappeared just as it had appeared. "Understood master. You can sit back and relax now while I go and meet some of our competition. This is fine, I never intended to make use of my Noble Phantasm on the first night either way, messing around with a few of the servants is enough for a warm up.

"Mhmm, I will be sure to keep an eye on that Assassin now, although those ones are known to be quite slippery. But I don't think this old man has lost all of his wits just yet heh..." Hector wasn't too confident that he could stop an Assassin who really wants to get away from him. But if anyone had the chance to block ones escape from battle then it would be an expert on the matter. And well... He just so happened to be one.

"Well then master, I guess I will see you in a bit then. Just tell me to come back whenever if you need something but if there is nothing then I will follow your orders from now till mornin'." Hector gave an odd sort of salute type gesture to his master as he let himself out of the apartment and moved out onto the streets.

"Now.." Hector said simply as he took in a breath of first air shortly before charging forward towards his destination. There was already a battle going on at the Eiffel Tower. And as his master ordered him he did not intend to interfere. But that didn't mean that he couldn't watch a little now did it? That kind of scouting is effective too and puts himself in little danger. Of course a battle like this was sure to draw in other servants who are eager for battle and so, Hector would be waiting for them!

Yes, that is definitely what he will be doing...

Lucienne

To The Latin District

Phew... Lucienne wiped a little bead of sweat off of her head with a napkin drawn from her jacket pocket. She hadn't really prepared a response for the chance that Caster had rejected her proposed name for her, which just so happened to be her middle name and late mother's name.

The 'Arc de Triomphe' huh? That sounds like an excellent choice to me Marguerite! The theatre can wait for another time, now we must go forward to our own Triumph!" A rather ridiculous little speech with exaggerated mannerisms to keep the mood light, apparently an attempt to mimic an actor of a stage play but on an out of touch magus it merely made her look a little stupid. Well 'a little' is being rather generous. Lucienne also made a little jab at the air with her fist although all that made clear is she hadn't thrown punch at another living thing in her life.

But still, embarrassment can come later. It's fine if she let loose a little for now. The war had just begun and well she can't be stressed out for it's entirety or she would likely burn out. And so she took Caster by the hand and began to lead the way with a childish grin on her face.
