A fantasy story concept idea, looking for a DM

I may be buried in work and I may be dead tired, but I had this idea and I need to share it as soon as possible, otherwise it'll leave the confines of my mind forever!

I am seeking a DM who enjoys writing DnD based stories, from low to high fantasy elements, it can be dark, gritty, lively and comedic, I am a person who adores reading and writing stories. In short about me, big fan of tabletop, have some experience with doing World of Darkness DMing. I give juicy paragraphs, both in quantity and quality, not once has it happened that I gave google docs pages worth of posts, involving my main character and other side characters to expand the world and the story. I had a character that I played for a DM and she had went through all five stages of grief, ten years of personal development and reading back what was she like at the start of the roleplay to where she ended up is astonishing to me, and I just love that feeling of accomplishment of a having a great story with such a great development inside out.

I love organic stories and character development. Whenever I play in the settings where I am a player, I let the circumstances make my character, not just me, the writer. I don't want my character to be a Mary Sue, quite the opposite. I find struggle delicious, it immerses me more and just as much as I want drama and tears, I want my characters to organically succeed.

You know, like a real person. Things will not go their way sometimes. And in a good fantasy story, rarely anything goes well for them, lol.

So I played Dragonheir: Silent Gods (DnD android game) and I had this idea for a story:

My character is a woman who is an outcast of society, a thief, a lowly mercenary, a pirate, perhaps is even a slave, prostitute or a dancer in seedy bars, her occupation is of low standing and something people would frown upon. She has no home of her own, no family to contact, nor does she know if she has any of that. As a matter of fact, my character had woken up one day and she did not remember a thing. She did not know who she was, where she came from or where she was. This could've happened recently or years ago before the beginning of the roleplay.

However, she is completely unaware that her role in the story is important: she is a someone despite living a life of a nobody. One day, she is faced with circumstances and people that will completely change her life, leading her through events of immense hardship, pain and grief, but in the meantime she will find answers, growth and people she can trust, for the first time since she is able to remember, she is no longer alone.

Now what could it be, its up for us to decide. One of my initial ideas is that she is a princess of a destroyed or conquered kingdom, last in the royal bloodline but there is just this something about her that makes her special, aside from being the last living offspring of a royal bloodline. We can take another direction, it can be something magical, religious or completely different, I am open to ideas.

So basically that's it. Very simple concept idea that we can do a lot with! Medieval fantasy, fun and enough for us to explore different possibilities. I would love to hear about any ideas regarding what her story may actually be, the world itself and all the elements that make this universe. As far as I'm concerned, we can start really simple first and work towards the bigger picture. I just need a good DM for this, someone who has fun with creating worlds and different characters.

Additional note about romance and mature content: I am an absolute sucker for romance. I love the drama, I love to have those warm fuzzy feelings, I love to groan in frustration and scream into the pillow because of it, but I also love some detailed hot and heavy content. If possible, I'd love to include those elements, however that is not the focus of it, I just love having the whole package in detail. Just to clear it up, for me romance doesn't need to happen in like 20 pages, I don't care as long as it happens naturally for the characters. I don't want it to happen unless it feels like there is chemistry, because there's no point for it otherwise. I prefer mostly FxM, but I am open for FxAny if it feels right in the story. They also don't need to be humans. They can be of different kinds of races as far as I'm concerned.

Another note: This thread was posted on friday, and I will be less available during the weekend. If I don't respond to you during the weekend, don't worry, I am just dying from responsibilities and I'm not ghosting anyone.

Considering that I'm writing this on my phone while I'm at work, this will not be as aesthetically pleasing or well formatted as I like, so if you'd like to see how my style actually is, you can see my other threads on my profile.

I'm currently in a sticky situation where I can't really play video games, so my only form of escapism is writing on my laptop whenever I have the time. Mainly once a week or once in two weeks, but it's not uncommon for me to have multiple posts per day or week if my life quests are not overwhelming me. So I figured the best way to soothe that yearning for this amazing franchise is to do a roleplay that will basically be served as a novel with the contents from the games and the universe.

I have both been a dungeon master and a player in ttrpgs, so this request is not a new territory for me, which also means I'm looking for someone who is well familiar with the art of DMing and the universe of Dragon Age.

I'll give a quick rundown about myself and what I'm seeking:

Multi-paragraoh to novella length replies. My biggest interest in writing is character development, challenges, tragedies and immersiveness. My main characters are always females, as for romantic pairings it's mostly males, but I leave it open for other genders as well, binary or not. One of the reasons why I enjoy Dragon Age is the more mature themes and romances with the characters, which is what I would love to tackle in the story, including the sexual side of things. So this is definitely an 18+ request, but that is not what I want to be the main point (let's be real, finding a sex-centric roleplay is the easiest thing the world) I simply wish to have that option in an expanding and rich story. Also, if possible, a male Qunari love interest would be great, but not mandatory. It's just a little and optional preference of mine.

As for what the story will be, matters not to me as long as it's good. I would prefer to play a human, as it offers more diverse backgrounds than the elves, but I could also be persuaded to play an elf if there's a good storyline. As far as I'm concerned, we can do a "replay" of all three games with our own direction and twists.

But I'm open and happy to discuss this with whoever is interested in doing this, so we can see what we can do.

I have faced a lot of common misconception on sites that give a green light to smut. I like to write smut and all the nitty gritty details, but I don't write for it. I write for the story and since a lot of my stories are romance-centric, physical intimacy is a part of love and romance, which is why I don't avoid smut when writing.

I am seeking partners who will give me the pleasure of experiencing something special while writing with them.

My writing is multi-paragraph to novella when it comes to length, but the quality is juicy. I have keen eye for details and never waste any space when I write you a post, so you will never waste your precious time and eyesight by reading through my responses. My writings have always been riddled with character development and they drip with complexities and personality

My posting frequency can vary, sometimes I can post multiple times a week, other times only once, and there may be weeks when I can't make it. Either way, we'll keep in touch. I am not pushy with posts and I am very patient. I prefer waiting a week to get a great post rather than doing rapid fire posts and getting nothing of value.

My only limit and where I draw the line is when it comes to SA/non-con/r@pe. If there's ever a scene with this kind of content for the sake of story or whatever, it should be non-descript and brief. Another thing I'm not into are anime faceclaims. No shade to anime artists, but they just don't sit right with me. I always use either real people references or art.

I prefer dark settings and genres: Modern supernatural, dark fantasy, themes of the occult, biblical themes, mythological settings, monsters and damsels, drama and intrigue, court themes, masquerades.

Character dynamics I thoroughly enjoy: Vast differences and polar opposites between them, interspecies, my character being on the side of bad and your character being on the side of good, age gaps, enemies to lovers, difficult circumstances, forbidden love, dangerous affairs, "we shouldn't do this, but...", my character belonging to no moral spectrum and your character being on the side of bad, corruption in the name of love, undying loyalty despite the unfavorable odds, animosity riddled with sexual tension.

Tropes for your character that I would love: Strong, just and immovable, yet soft from within and has a fragile, big heart. Handsome, rougish and difficult, yet riddled with issues and inner demons he fights on a daily basis. Ruggedly manly, dominant and complex, yet holds a dark past that keeps him closed off from the rest of the world. Holy, self-righteous and unforgiving, yet suffers because of the selflessness which leaves him vulnerable to corruption when its used correctly. - These are just examples of the types of characters I'd definitely be into writing with.

I love me some humanoid and inhuman characters, and that is always on the table.

My characters range from cold, ambitious and cold-blooded to righteous, uppity and driven to help others. All depends on what kind of plot we're doing and what characters you want to play.

Morticia and Gomez meet Romeo and Juliette (story concept)

My character is the younger version of Morticia Addams, with some original tweaks, naturally. Dreamy, graceful and filled with dignity, driven, feminine and hot in every sense of the word. And naturally the man she would have to be paired up with should have Gomez Addams qualities as well.

Just the story here will be a bit different.

Basically it's kind of like Romeo and Juliette theme, just with adults and more mature with the theme. It can be cheesy and over the top, because I absolutely love the drama and how the movies from 80s, 90s and 00s vibed without taking themselves seriously. We're talking the Addams family here!

So two very wealthy and reputable families are big rivals in the city and it's nearly cutthroat just how much they despise each other. Blackmailing, spreading nasty rumors, attempts to sabotage their successes, you name it. These two families simply do not want to share the spotlight, perhaps they have the same ambition, yet not enough space for both to share.

As you would've guessed, our characters are young adults who are from the same generation and the families want to marry them off to the people they chose for them from other countries to further their ambitions outside the home country and spread their influence. However, when everyone was present during the local event, our characters had met each other by coincidence for the first time, but quite unexpectedly for them both, they were smitten with each other. BUT, I don't want this to be where they're showing signs that they're head over heels for one another, instead they keep provoking each other, playing into the rivalry that their families have been on for generations. They are well-aware that they absolutely should not do anything outside of their families' expectations, especially if they or one of them is already betrothed to someone, considering that the future and well-being of their family is going to fall upon them. They take this very seriously, but the tension between them is extremely heavy.

Considering that all wealthy families attend big local events, our characters keep bumping into each other quite often (perhaps there's a week-long festival and other activities where the families want to one-up another constantly) and they begin to form a relationship through quipping, provoking sarcastically and basically playing with each other that would slowly lead to them talking seriously when they have an opening and nearly non-existent privacy. I also love the idea that they both do fencing and someone has a great idea to put the two on spotlight to perform before everyone. And whoever wins would get some form of a prize. But this performance of fencing is treated like a dangerous dance between the two, filled with piercing passion and near deadly intent that excites one another as they wield those fencing swords and just add fuel to the fire.

And I love how Gomez had always been a rebel in the Addams family, so I'd imagine that YC would similarly begin to rebel as he thinks with his heart and ends up doing bad boy shit for the first time ever against his family all in the name of love, getting himself in massive trouble that unfortunately separates MC and YC.

Just actual romance with a lot of drama, quirky and fun, with quality slowburn. That's what I want.

CONCEPT IDEAS

Court of Fangs and Claws

Theme: Modern fantasy | vampire princess x on of the alpha (werewolf) | court drama and intrigue | forbidden romance | enemies to lovers

Even in the age of technology, the oldest vampiric bloodline that dates back to the medieval times had been ruling over the children of the night the same way they had been centuries ago. The vampire clan Primogen are the bloodline of vampiric royalty that have been the iron fist that led the order of the vampires in the state, maintaining their obfuscation. While vampires are more powerful than mortals, they are outnumbered and there are organizations of hunters who are trained to kill their an all other supernatural kind when necessary. The bloodline kept away in the old estate in the capital city of Crossvale, aware of how much their blood is worth to all who deem them as threat.

The Primogen clan are the only clan of vampires that can conceive thanks to their affinity to blood magic - something that makes them special compared to other vampires. They had existed for centuries thanks to the ritualistic practices and have been the strongest vampire clan, despite nobody knowing what is it exactly that makes this clan so powerful, besides the powerful presence that can control the crowd, especially those with the vampiric affinities.

The Primogen clan had one of the loyal associates, clan Griffith, a long line of shapeshifting warriors that hail from the days of the vikings. The Griffiths are one of the more physically powerful vampire clans out there, and they have the ability to shapeshift. They are the only clan that have anything in common with the Lycans and they had some tense, but non-violent dealings in the past, as Griffiths would deal with the Lycans for the Primogens. In some way, the Lycans and Griffiths have made some form of comradery, despite the vampires and werewolves being the mortal enemies, their interests never aligning.

The Lycans are more creatures who deal with the urban world and humans than vampires do. From the crime world to running their society in the outskirts of the town, Lycans are the "street smart" and also progressive kind while still tending to their roots. They have a lot at stake when it comes to their animalistic nature, and lot of self-discipline and control comes into practice for the creatures such as the Lycans. They're killing machines and an actual threat to the vampire society, but they too may suffer the consequences if too exposed among the humans. There was a rise of hunters in the past several years and plenty fell victim to the hands of the mortals.

The Griffiths betrayed both the Primogens and the Lycans, putting them at great danger. Lycans' packs will be exposed to the hunters as well as their shelters with thir pups, while the Primogens have gotten note that the Griffiths have some knowledge of their blood magic and know how to expose it.

The Griffiths specifically claimed that the progeny of the royal bloodline, that being my character, is the one they want. This is not revealed in the story at first.

So the Primogens and the Lycans have a meeting where the Alpha and his son, your character, come to meet and form a temporary alliance now that their lives were at threat, which is their mutual interest, as it is a grave concern for both. This is where our characters will for the first time ever interact - ever hating each other for their nature, yet forced to cooperate.

It's an enemies to lovers story, forbidden romance at its core, pretty feisty and fun at that. As a monster lover myself, I wouldn't mind some smut with the werewolf anthro transformation.

The spirited princess

Theme: Medieval fantasy | spirited princess x (optional) | court drama and intrigue | adventure

Like the title suggests, MC is a spirited princess. She's like a mix of Sansa's grace and Arya's daring and energetic nature. Fiery like Merida from Brave. She has always been the girl to dance barefoot and run around through the castle hallways and the gardens. As much as she can behave like one princess who presents the pure and pristine standard, she simply chooses not to. She is driven, passionate and one may even say her energy is contagious if the members of aristocratic society are not horrified by her manners.

While in the present, her kingdom and family are your basic medieval european style kingdom, but her ancestors were pagan savages, something akin to celts though it had changed over the course of generations, as they're now under the rule of monotheistic religion (like the church). There is that slight specific trait about her family that differentiates them from other kingdoms in this continent, something you can notice, but you can't point your figure at it.

I'm open to plot suggestions, but I currently have one idea. MC is arranged to marry a prince from another kingdom, where she has been sent to in order to prepare for marriage. However, while I am open for you to play the said prince, I would prefer that the actual romantic interest is not someone from the court exactly. It can be perhaps a knight or someone similar who could be more prone to liking such spirited nature while plenty of aristocrats with sticks up their ass wouldn't be all too accepting of her behavior at times.

I am willing to hear suggestions and ideas! I would also like to figure out a plot that will include adventure!

The savage king (BIG CRAVE)

Theme: Medieval fantasy | defeated queen x viking king | court drama and intrigue | enemies to lovers | tension and conflict

YC is the leader of his people, a conqueror that sailed from the north. He has his eyes set on a specific prize and the kingdom he raids and conquers is just the last stop before he gets to his final destination. What his destination and goal is, is up for debate. But the last stop and settlement that they want to use is a kingdom where MC is the queen. It is another classic european kingdom set up on the foundation of the church, but now with the savages overrunning this kingdom, slowly there will be changes here. Naturally, things cannot easily change in a short period of time, but the progression of the change and its direction should be noticeable in time.

YC murdered the king, MC's husband, and now as a prize, he took the kingdom under his own reign which is now going to be a viking settlement, but also the dead king's wife is now his prize as well, though she cannot stand YC. She absolutely despises him. She can slap him, spit on him, say despicable things to him, even make an attempt at his life when he's asleep, but she can never do anything more than that, forced to be merely a decoration and a reminder with a crown of what the people have lost. To the people of this kingdom, she's still a queen but with no authority, not while YC and his people are around. However, I do see them getting very spicy with each other from all the tension and conflict between each other, though if there's any developing feelings between them, it would be gradual and sex would not happen too soon.

As much as YC wants to move on to his next destination, there's a lot of problems that would arise that he needs to deal with. It can be the sicknesses with his people, new-formed organization led by the people in the kingdom who want to usurp the new viking where MC can also have a role and also other allied kingdoms of the current one coming to the people's aid with the intention to free them from the savages.

I would like to see if we can develop some form of relationship between our characters while they're here and see where the rest of the story can take us!

Open for shapeshifting smut

MC is a vampire princess in a regal bloodline of elderly vampires who lead the immortal society. YC is the son of an alpha werewolf with difficult expectations to reach his father's greatness. Despite centuries of hatred and natural animosity between two kinds, they settled to form a temporary alliance against their common enemy who seems to have an upper hand. Both sides are suffering and in this time of need, the werewolf clan came to the vampire's palace to strike up the necessary and temporary deal, even though the tensions between them are high. However, during these meetings that seem to last forever with the intent to be thorough in satisfying both stubborn sides, tragedy hits and our characters are forced to cooperate despite never seeming to agree on anything.

Forbidden fruit tastes the sweetest

After the demons losing the battle against the holy crusade, MC was one of the rare demons that has been captured and taken to the angel's kingdom for interrogation purposes. The angel is one of the purest creatures to exist and MC being the lust demon who adores temptations, makes it her mission to emotionally and sexually manipulate the most holy of them all. Despite his self-righteousness, MC plays her cards right to reach into that graceful need for forgiveness and repentance within him and slowly begins to plant her seeds of manipulation, to awaken the need within him and have the angel show the dominant side of him.

YC can be of a different inhuman race

MC can either be a princess kidnapped for blackmail into the kingdom or is in a part of arranged marriage with YC's brother. Either way, she was now stuck in a foreign land with people she did not want to be surrounded with. And she is not scared to show how she feels, as she is quite feisty and always puts up a fight. YC is one of the princess who is a trickster and quite devious, so he finds MC's situation as an opportunity to pick and prod at, but the princess is not afraid to bite, no matter how cornered she is. I don't have any plot concept for this, just this sort of idea with possible affair going on if she's arranged to marry YC's brother.

The masked seductress (CRAVING)

Theme: Medieval fantasy | masked female mercenary x righteous knight | adventure, action and drama | a dynamic duo | intrigue

The world is at the threshold of the apocalypse as the monstrosities from beneath began to rise onto the surface, threatening to end the humanity. However there is a way to stop this - each kingdom has a seal, a pendant, imbued with magical properties that, if used together in a certain ritual, it can banish the demonic forces back into the underworld they crawled from. However, not all believe in this myth and with political situation between the kingdoms not being the most peaceful, even some threats of war rising, getting to those pendants would be easier said than done - especially considering that one kingdom is now basically nothing but a ruin for almost a decade with no one being near. YC is a knight tasked by his king to reach each of the rulers of the kingdoms in attempts to bargain with them to get to the rest of the pendants, but he is joined by an interesting individual - a seductive, masked mercenary who happened to already have one pendant. Their dynamic is a little tense, considering that YC is a knight with a code he follows, religiously focused, while the mysterious mercenary loves to pick and prod. However, there is one problem... She was not paid by anyone to seek out the pendants. Just why this mysterious individual who hides her identity would be driven to do such a monumental task? Who is she?
