Welcome to Sanctuary, a small rural town hidden deep within the mountains of Colorado.

In the early 1900's Sanctuary brought people from far and wide to mine the mountains which were rich with gold. However, in the 21st century, Sanctuary is simply a rest stop for truck drivers and those on road trips. The once bustling mining town now holds roughly only 1,500 people and has been on the brink of becoming a "ghost town" for a few hundred years. When the gold ran dry the town shifted their income to mainly farming export and sparse tourism for the historic mining town. Although Sanctuary has been on its death bed for some time, the tightly knit community loves the town for what it is and many have chosen to live there for the quiet, simple life style that it offers.

Life had been simple, at least, until one year ago. Home developers and retail chains set their eye on this little hidden gem in the mountains, seeing it as the perfect place to expand business due to the traffic that passes through on the way to larger cities. With new businesses beginning to become established, brand new people have been moving to the town and new homes are already being built.

Although Sanctuary appears quaint on the outside, it has many hidden secrets when you take time to look closer. The majority of the older generation of Sanctuary is strongly conservative and religious, which can sometimes cause problems for the younger people. Alcoholism and drug use has plagued many of community members for as long as anyone can remember. Ex-criminals have also found their way here in the past, attempting to escape their past lives. The list could go on, but the new people moving in will undoubtedly find the darker side to Sanctuary in due time.

Many families who have lived in Sanctuary for decades do not appreciate the new growth and prefer their small town where everyone knows each other. Some, though few, do appreciate their rapidly changing life - especially the younger generation, who seem to welcome seeing a new face every once in awhile.

Feel free to rearrange this information however you like, just make sure it's all there. When accepted, please put your C.S. in a hider.

This can be continually added to as we come up with new ideas throughout the RP. If you wish to be the owner of one of these places, please feel free to create your own lore - I'll be happy to add it below!

Stepping gracefully out of portal ripped through time, a young brunette woman adorned in golden jewelry and a simple white flowing dress took a moment to pause. "Ah..." Her mismatched golden and blue eyes took in the extraordinary scenery. "So this is the place." She muttered under her breath, taking a glance behind her as her white haired Goddess floated in through the portal, levitating only a few inches above the ground without moving a muscle. The Goddess, Cetia, slowly moved her gaze to the small brunette woman and gave the faintest upturn of the corner of her lips in acknowledgement.

The brunette smiled to her in return and once again took in the scenery. This place was very familiar to her, though she had never been here in a physical form. In her dreams and visions Cetia had often guided the women to this area of the in-between. It served as a meditation area as well as an easy way to astral project herself to distant areas of her own world. This place was peaceful for her and had always felt like a safe haven, but she had never truly known just how important the area would become to her.

"Looks as though we're late."

Slowly, the woman made her way through the landscape towards the group of people... and creatures?... she saw gathering nearby. For all the times she had been to this realm she had never once seen another being here besides her Goddess. As she approached she could feel her heart beat harder in her chest, the nerves finally settling in. She had so scarcely been around other people for an extended period of time, especially strangers, and this all felt very overwhelming to her senses. Not to mention that each one of these people were extremely important in their own way. The pressure was enormous!

As she got closer, suddenly, she tripped over a tree root and fell forward into a tall white haired woman who stood next to what appeared to be a behemoth of a God. "Oh!" The woman caught herself on the muscular woman's arm and straightened herself, her pale face instantly flushing her cheeks with red in embarrassment. "I-I'm so sorry!" She offered a sheepish smile to the woman, taking a couple steps back and turning her gaze to the rest of the group. "Uhm... Greetings, all." She nervously glanced to Cetia who levitated beside her, emotionless and silent. "I am pleased to introduce you to Cetia, my Goddess of life, death, and time." She gestured toward the celestial being to her left and then turned back to the group, trying her hardest not to gawk over how different each of these people were from what she was used to seeing.

"And my name is Sybil." She bowed to the group in respect, "It is my pleasure to meet you and to serve with you."

Sorry guys, I didn't fully read how you had changed the plot a bit before. My character definitely doesn't fit well in a tournament style match up. Do we need to have every deity compete in a tournament?

I was thinking maybe only certain gods had people fight in a tournament in their own world to find out who they wanted to be their champion but other gods (my characters) would out right pick a champion right away without any tests? It could just depend on how that god wanted to handle picking a champion? That way our characters still don't know each other before the RP begins, it could create some animosity between the deities who went through hell to be picked and those who didnt, and they must still learn everyone's personalities which is what I was looking forward to.

Let me know what you think!
@Light
*Rest here for a bit to catch your breath before continuing.

If I may add on to this, maybe we could make sure that we're hidden while we rest so we don't get attacked again.

Agreed once again haha
Here's mine for approval! :)

@Light Shoot the fragile cliffs above.

That's my vote as well!
I'll start setting the RP up probably next week - I'm in a wedding this week so things have been hectic! Haha
