Typically manning the bar, but she isn't afraid to help out with any of the jobs needed. B I O Reya was born and raised in Sanctuary along with her identical twin sister, Riley. Up until about their 17th birthday, Reya and Riley had a fairly normal life with their two loving parents. They were raised by a stay-at-home mother who originally came from the big city, and their hard-working father who spent much of his time taking care of the family owned tavern. Things shifted dramatically when their mother was diagnosed with cancer and given only a few months to live. Their mother tried to make the best of it while their father began to spiral into a depression he would never be able to pull himself out of. Riley had always been more reckless than her minutes older sister, Reya, but began to grow more and more rebellious as time went on. By the time their mother succumbed to her illness, their father had already been deep into drinking his life away. Months later, Reya's twin sister Riley would disappear in the night. She left a note, stating that she had to find something better than this town and their life. Suddenly, Reya was alone. Although she often dreamt of expanding her horizons, a sense of duty to her family kept her here. While her father fell apart, Reya would step up and take care of their family legacy - The Fox Hole Tavern. Generations of Parker's had lived in Sanctuary and kept their legacy alive through the Fox Hole Tavern, having kept it under family ownership from the very first day of its opening. Reya didn't have the heart to let it fall apart after all this time. One year ago, Reya's father took his own life. It had been a shock, but Reya felt that she had lost her father long ago. Now, Reya is in full control of the tavern and does her best with it. She loves it and this town, despite everything, and intends to make the best of the cards that life has dealt her. M I S C . Typically in the back cooking, but specializes in pastries. B I O Levi does not know much about his origin, except that he was born in New York City to a single mother who gave him up for adoption quickly after birth. The arrangement of his adoption was that no-contact was to be made by his biological mother or by Levi's potential adoptive family, so Levi never knew who his parents were or why he was given up. For years Levi went from one foster home to another until he was 5 years old when he was finally adopted by his "forever family" who lived here in Sanctuary. His adoptive parents were both natives to Sanctuary, though they had spent much of their young adult lives traveling the world. Ultimately when they decided to settle down they went back to Sanctuary for its small town feel and felt that it was good for them to raise a family in the same environment they grew up in. After years of trying to conceive on their own, they eventually gave up and applied for adoption which would eventually lead them to Levi - thankfully for him. His adoptive parents were everything he could have hoped for. Loving, supportive, understanding, and wonderful teachers. His adoptive father had taken over his families business when he moved back, The Cozy Bear Cafe, and Levi's mother decided to become a stay at home mother after Levi arrived. Throughout his formative and teenage years Levi was a bit of a trouble maker despite having picturesque parents. He often toed the line between getting arrested and smooth-talking his way out of such situations - luckily it was usually the latter. He loved to play class-clown and could often be found flirting with any woman who caught his eye. Nonetheless, Levi got well enough grades in school and seemed to have calmed his rebellious phase a bit by the time he graduated. Throughout the years he found a love in cooking with his parents and helping out around the Cafe. His mother taught him all she could about cooking, but Levi was interested in more. After high school Levi got accepted into a top culinary school in California and immediately moved there to study. Levi spent over a decade in California, living his best bachelor life and learning all he could while working in high end restaurants, but eventually he decided to return to Sanctuary just as his parents once had. His parents were both beginning to age and slow down, which meant they needed all the help they could get at the Cafe which Levi was happy to provide. When Levi returnee two months ago, Levi's father offered for him to completely take over the business so that his father could semi-retire. Feeling confident in himself and much more at peace with his unknown past, Levi excitedly accepted. While his parents both still help out around the place from time to time, Levi now takes care of nearly every aspect of the business. |
__________________________________________ __________________________________________ | N A M E Anastasia Clarke, formerly Anastasia Castellano B I R T H D A Y February 22, 1990 A G E 33 A P P E A R A N C E Hair: Blonde. Height: 5'5 Eye Color: Steel Blue Misc.: The bridge of her nose is lightly speckled with freckles. O C C U P A T I ON Currently unemployed, formerly a nurse. B I O Anastasia, or Ana for short, grew up in the cold and windy city of Chicago with a single father and two younger siblings. Ana's mother abandoned the family when Ana was nine years old, leaving their ill-fitted father to care and provide for the children. Her father typically tried his "best", but caring for young children was not in his wheel house and as the eldest the responsibility of care usually fell to Ana. Her father always provided a roof over their heads, but they grew up in poverty and their father would often go missing for days at a time, so Ana had to grow up fast. Focused and determined to provide for her siblings, Ana took up a job as soon as she could find anyone who would pay a minor under the table. She worked tirelessly on both her schoolwork and her job at a restaurant, believing that one day she would be able to go to college and make enough money to save her siblings from the lifestyle they were born into. And she did! Ana, always with a knack for helping others, went into nursing school right out of high school and set up her career path. If not for the money it took, Ana might have kept going to become a doctor. Instead, fate lead her in another direction. One of Ana's first nursing jobs was at a hole in the wall clinic which is where she met a man by the name of Vincent Castellano. He and his group of friends had come into the clinic more than a few times and Ana began to know them as "regulars", which was odd at first, but the person who ran the clinic seemed to know the group like family. Ana eventually was brought in to help out with any sort of wound mending that this group needed and would come to learn that Vincent and his friends were part of the Chicago mob, which was scary at first... but Vincent was so charming that it quelled all of her worries. Ana and Vincent soon began dating as the smooth-talker swept her off her feet. Not only that, but suddenly all of her money problems were gone! Vincent even helped out her family. Her family was his, as he told her. A few years down the line they were married, both 26 at the time. Things were perfect for another few years, albeit stressful when Vincent would get wrapped up in some sort of illegal operation. Around their fifth year of marriage things began to change as Vincent grew tired of Ana and became cold to her. The stress of Vincent's "job", his family, and their struggle to have a child together had put a lot of pressure on their relationship. Vincent started drinking heavily, lying about doing drugs, and disappearing in a similar fashion to Ana's father. Eventually he became physically, mentally, and verbally abusive to his wife. Still, Ana stayed because she loved him. She believed this was just a rough patch that they would have to get through. Ana endured the abuse for another two years until two weeks ago Ana found out that Vincent had been cheating on her for at least a year, which was the final straw. She confronted him, despite being terrified of his rage. She regretted that as he refused to admit to the truth and instead took his anger out on her, leaving her nearly lifeless by the end of his tantrum. That night she decided she had to leave. The next time Vincent left the house Ana quickly stole all the cash he had in a hidden stash he kept at the house. She left all her belongings, told no one that she would be leaving, and drove her car out to the middle of nowhere hours away before ditching it on the side of the road and catching a cab to the nearest airport. IF Vincent decided to work with the police, which was highly unlikely, the police would believe that she was abducted by the way she left her car. Vincent, on the other hand, would know that she had intentions to flee considering the missing cash, but the mobster wouldn't be able to tell the police about the cash he had on hand. However, she hoped the car in the middle of nowhere would throw Vincent off and he would believe her to be dead or abducted as well. Ana picked the first flight out that she saw on the departures list which would land her in Denver, Colorado - far enough away from Chicago to feel somewhat safe. Still, Ana wanted to find somewhere even more remote where no one would ever think to look. After about a week of hotel-hopping, Ana found her way to Sanctuary after seeing an ad for a cheap apartment rental in a newly developed area of the town. Thinking the town looked quiet and rural enough, Ana immediately took up the opportunity to start her new life. M I S C . |
