Arna Renheim
The film had turned out to be a boring, unfunny mess that drained both Arna and her mother of their will to live.
"This... this is fucking terrible." Arna's mother said, with enough slurred glee within her speech to prove her drunkenness on its own.
"Yea, but we're gunna keep watching it, aren't we?" Arna asked, knowing that her mother would condemn both of them to this torture.
"Yep."
The film was two hours long, and Arna's mother had fallen asleep at around the 45 minute mark. Arna wasn't really sure why she kept the terrible movie on, as she simply hoped for her brain to resign her to the same fate as her mother.
And then someone came through the door. It was the roommate. She seemed nice. A fairly young-looking blond woman. Arna quickly grabbed the remote and paused the film. It paused on an eerie close up of some man's awkward, creepy smile.
"Ah, you must be..." Arna thought for a second in her half-drunken stupor, trying to recall the name. She was sure that her mother had said it at some point before, be it that night, or in some previous call or text. "... Liana, right?" Arna stood from her seat and walked over to the other girl, outstretching her hand. "I'm Arna, nice to meet you." Arna looked over at the old woman snoring with her head leaning against her shoulder. "Sorry, my mother kind of fell asleep. Movie was a bit shit."
