I'm here because I like to RP in depth with high quality writing. Now, don't mistake me for high quality; I'm just hoping it rubs off.

@Cleveraptor That dwarf is the tankiest ranger I've ever seen :D.

@Cao the Exiled Feel free to share when you've got something!
@Cleveraptor Feel free to PM me, or put it in your character sheet so we can both reference it there in pathbuilder!

As far as creatures go, the other dinosaur is listed expressly as a companion, so that's why I leaned toward that choice. If you are set on Troodon, we can look at what stats to give it in exchange for abilities.
@Cleveraptor Nope! Ultimately, this game is for everyone to have fun. Obviously the world of Golarion has it's own rules and societies, but I'm not going to cast Dwarves and Elves as cats-and-dogs, more just very disparate from each other, naturally speaking.

PS. Thanks in advance for an updated sheet URL.

@rush99999 I'm going to walk back my tone from 'inclined to decline' to a more open one of 'tell me more.'

Here's what I was thinking:

1. Circuit Judge, though standard, is an uncommon background, which doesn't disqualify it, but I'd like to hear a bit of background as to why a circuit judge would be joining a school of magic in Magaambya as a student.
2. Originally for the setting, I thought the school of Magaambya was only for those who were learning magic, but after reading more of the pregen character backgrounds more carefully, I understand now that any class can join the school with the desire to learn magic.
3. I was thinking that taking a background as a Circuit Judge would make more sense if the adventure was a 2-6 level adventure and required some maturity and character age, but I'm not going to stick to that.
4. In my mind, a Fighter class character may not be the most sensible circuit judge. I could see a wizard, alchemist, etc. more easily, but I'm not going to be a stickler here, either.

@meri I've taken a look at your sheet and all looks well. I'm very curious to see how the mirror will work in game.

@PatientBean I've looked over your character sheet, too, and all looks good.
@rush99999 I have a couple questions about your CS.

Can you make a case for the uncommon background Circuit Judge? I'm inclined to decline it, given the setting, the starting level, and the class of Fighter. Also, it might be a good idea to have your primary stat be +3 or +4 for your chosen role of martial. No requirements there, but might make for smoother sailing in strength checks.

@Cleveraptor For your request, I'd like to hear a convicing backstory as to why a Dwarf, typically fundamentally rooted in a clan and kingdom mentality, would be interested in an Elf of all creatures! I'll probably allow it, but you should flesh this out more, and I'm interested to hear what you come up with. Maybe they're drawn to the 'other'? Maybe they had a chance encounter with an Elf that left them struck? Maybe they grew up far away from the traditional society of Dwarven kind?

As far as your CS goes:

It looks like you may have missed selecting 1 ability, 1 skill, and 1 extra. You have a few more allocations to make on this sheet.

The composite shortbow is 14gp, and adventurers start with 15gp, so that would be pretty much the whole lot. Look at rebalancing your outfit under 15gp, please.
@Cleveraptor Sounds good. Yes, pathbuilder 2e is the go-to resource for character creation for P2e. I'm going to request everyone to use it to create character sheets, as a matter of fact. It allows URL sharing of sheets, which will come in handy.

@PatientBean Thanks for the vote of confidence, Bean!

Threshold of Knowledge is made for 4-5 characters, just FYI.

So far, those expressing interest in order of first-come-first-served are:
1. @rush99999
2. @Frog Dog
3. @meri
4. @Cao the Exiled
5. @PatientBean

With a waiting list of:
1. @Cleveraptor

That's to give everyone an idea of who is on-deck and who should be beginning their character concepts/sheets. As @Cao the Exiled requested, I'll be looking more into the Book of the Dead to see read through the possibilities of character concepts and new mechanics.

Disclaimer: Though I'm not a novice GM, this really is my first time GMing P2e, so it may be bumpy. I've only ever served as GM for play-by-post games in Advanced, with absolutely no rules or dice rolls. If that doesn't scare you off, stick around and I'll circle back to see who is still interested in a week or so.
@rush99999 Right now I'm looking at Threshold of Knowledge as it's a level 1 introductory Adventure that allows characters from varied backgrounds and has a well defined beginning, middle, and end.

I'm planning on this game to be a planned one-shot (which Threshold of Knowledge is), and for everyone to look up afterwards to see how they felt about it. Being my first time GMing in P2e, I'm not looking to scope out a lonng running game right off the bat; I'm looking to test the waters, see what following a pre-made includes, and--this is what I really want to do--expand the one-shot to feel engaging and complex to the characters and players.

I'm planning on offering lots and lots of individual character perception, notes, and details so that it feels like we're sitting at a table together and each character feels wholly immersed in the adventure replete with sights, sounds, and smells.

It's possible that as we finish, we may have had so much fun we want to roll the characters right into another story. I would be looking at Trouble in Otari as a contingency for levels 2-5.
@Cleveraptor I looked into the Ranger and deinonychus idea you had, and that's absolutely within scope for a level 1 ranger.
@Cleveraptor Sounds interesting. Let me look into the companion and get back to you.
@Cao the Exiled It looks like I also have Book of the Dead, but I haven't read through it yet. I'll add it to my list of things to get through (I've been meaning to read it) before I kick anything off here.
