Bio

Fell, she/they, English, currently obsessed with DnD and other ttrpgs. I do art sometimes. I am the GM of two tabletop roleplays on this very site:

- Beyond Moonlight's Reach, a story of four young dragons growing up in a post-apocalyptic fantasy world, and using the Powered by the Apocalypse game Epyllion.

- Search for Tir na Og, a DnD 5e campaign set in the Planescape setting where a group of strangers from all across the multiverse come together to solve the mystery about what happened to the Celtic gods after they and their homelands were mysteriously spirited away.

Before I post what is going to be a very... interesting response to Fellwing's question, does anyone have anything they want to add?

Also, after this response, do you think the conversation is going to continue or would you guys like to move on to the group heading to the Capitol?
Arthek Yarnspin

As Arthek listened intently to Doctor's words, his eyes were drifting over each of his companions as he took in their expressions and body language during this exposition dump. Obviously, he couldn't put this scene in his next novel - thanks again, Grimi's eldrich benefactor - but he found it was always important to keep a read on your characters, to know what they were doing and thinking even when the reader wasn't privy to that information. It kept things consistent between scenes.

His eyes lingered on Iota in particular as she effortlessly took charge of the questioning, seeming to have gleaned some of this information already at an earlier point. That didn't surprise him so much. What did surprise him was how no one seemed to object to her presence here, not even Grimi who historically was not one to trust so easily.

However, even as the water genasi was asking all the right questions, there was one thing that was bothering the writer about the Doctor's explanation. "Excuse me," Arthek interjected with a raised hand. "Not to slow down the narrative or anything, but err, one thing is bothering me." He pointed to the doctor. "If this stone is indeed what you claim, how did you come to realise its true nature? And if you could figure it out, how come no one else has?" He paused before quickly adding. "Sorry, just, err, bit of a plot hole that I would like to have, err, filled as soon as possible."
I'll try and get a post up over the next couple of days. Arthek is fascinated to see where this goes.
WELP, Vertigo's been offline for twenty days. Might have to move us along soon if no one else has anything to add.
We'll just say that Flicker is so off their game right now they 'forgot' they should be buying enough for five people, not six.
Flicker had been doing the calculations of what to get and how much when they heard Jørmund's compliments of the cooking and it threw them off for a moment. They gave an awkward cough as they did their best not to break into a very pleased grin. "Ahem, I, err, wouldn't go that far," they said quickly. They then handed 71 silver pieces and 10 copper pieces over to the warforged in exchange for thirty six lots of the comfortable ingredients. They had been somewhat tempted to go for even higher quality ingredients in hopes of showing off, but the more disciplined voice in the back of their head had warned them against it. After all, they were already buying quite a bit more than they probably needed, and they didn't want to completely lose all the money they had just earned.
It's not much but it's a post.

Also for the simple fact that Flicker probably uses seasonings other than salt and doesn't overcook/undercook the food is why Jørmund believes Flicker is the best cook ever.

Is Jørmund saying this within Flicker's earshot?
Sorry it's taking me so long to post... trying to do the math of what Flicker is getting and how much is causing some anxiety, ngl ^^;
Jub the Peculiar

Once again, Brutrumukk dismissed one of Jub's ideas, though not as rudely this time. The goblin shrugged. "Long way round it is then," he muttered, and followed the former bugbear onto the skiff. "But hey, at least you're starting to see the benefits of your new form. Like I said before, there are far worse things you could have been turned into." He was very tempted to add 'like a goblin' to end of that sentence, partly as a joke, but he had no idea how Brutrumukk would take that.
It's funny because Flicker was earlier beating themself up for being too judgemental of Plasm. Now Plasm's gonna come back holding her own skull in her hands, and Flicker's going to be like "Ah, now I remember why you creeped me out so much, ya weirdo"
