Fabula Ultima: JRPG Adventures

Since Rush did it, I decided to answer class questions for Miloh as well.

Though err... don't expect him to be as articulate as Mr Trafalgar. xD

Questions for Miloh

- Who taught you the art of Chimerism? Is your mentor human or monstrous?
"Kai... kai-meh... kai-meh-iz-um? Is that what it's called? I dunno, I wasn't really taught it by anyone. I just kinda used to watch monsters and beasts when they were fighting or hunting, and sort of... copied what they did? Eventually, something kinda clicked."

- Can people and monsters live in harmony, or are they bound to threaten each other?
*Shrugs* "I dunno, maybe? Some of the kids on the island had monster companions, so..."

- What does your magic look like?
"To be honest, I don't really think about what I do as magic. It's just something I feel, and then I do it. You know, like, instinct. I do remember some kids who saw me fighting that something they'd see like... an illusion of a creature standing over me? I've never seen it myself, though, so I dunno."

- Are there many practicing your art, or are you the exception?
"I showed a couple of other kids back in my tribe to fight like I did. Some of them got it. Some of them didn't. Haven't really seen anyone doing the same thing since I left the island, but I dunno... again, I wasn't taught it, I just sort of figured it out, so I guess other people could do the same."

- Do you rely on your burning passion, or do you strive to keep it under control?
"You know, I'm not angry all the time. Just... things set me off a lot. I try not to take it out on people I care about, but it can be hard sometimes."

- There’s that one thing that always makes you lose it. What is it?
"People thinking they're better than me, or looking down on me."

- In the past, your lack of control had tragic consequences. What have you lost?
"I mean... there's a reason I'm here and no longer on my island." (Note: he was exiled for trying to seize leadership during one of his tantrums.)

- What do your weapons and fighting style look like?
"Like I said, I base my fighting style on beasts and monsters I've seen, particularly big creatures like bears and boars. Even made this claw out of old metals and leather I found in the shipwreck, good for clawing at people. Also digging and climbing sometimes too."

Jub looked alarmed at the sudden sound, an expression that only grew when Brutrumukk voiced his desire to fight whatever had made it. "We don't know if it's the cat, Brutrumukk," Jub pointed out. "It could be... anything. And we're not exactly in top condition right now." The exhaustion in his voice was clear as he said that last sentence. He looked up at Aaliyah. "Would you know about anything that would be making that sound?" He was half-hoping she would say they had a rambunctious pet dog, or a very clumsy servant, or... something. Anything that meant they wouldn't have to fight right now.

Okay so!

Both of you recognise this, though it takes Aaliyah a little longer as she initially thinks it's depicting the Elemental Plane of Air due to certain landmarks, like floating pieces of land and such. However, there's also a lot of things she doesn't recognise and eventually, she puts together that she is looking at a map... or rather, an ATTEMPT to map the Elemental Chaos, based on the stories Ishaan has told her about the place.

Beigeiros however recognises it almost immediately because he's likely seen it in his travels as a Plane-tender. The Plane-tenders don't often go into the Elemental Chaos because it's kind of difficult to tend to being, well, the Elemental Chaos but he likely has spied certain land marks from distance from any time he's been called to the elemental planes.

I imagine Garnet isn't terribly concerned about the map, but she would likely take a look around to see if anything else stands out to her as interesting and, uh--- acquisition-worthy. Should I roll for that instead?

Also heads up, will be gone for the rest of the week, but can resume writing next week!

I chose to interpret it as "he really wasn't expecting to have to wax lyrical about Raella's magical skills while they were in the middle of nowhere"..

Which, tbf, is his own fault. He should always be prepared to tell everyone how great Raella is.
