Jigen Saito
Male | 17
Titles/Nicknames:
Subarashii Saito! / The Amazing Saito
Appearance:
Jigen is a Japanese boy of slight build. What he lacks in muscle he makes up for a little in height, being above average for his age. His growth spurt came on pretty fast, so naturally he's a bit clumsy with his steps. Having lived a mostly safe life so far, the only real scars that Jigen has are on his hands - pale, smooth grown over burns from a time he attempted a magic trick involving fire. Needless to say it didn't go well.

"Is 'world peace' too much to ask for? Okay, okay, um... a harem? Just kidding! What I'd really like is to make a lot of friends, and make a lot of people happy. More than what one person could do alone, I guess."
Personality:
Friendly. That's the word most would use to describe Jigen. Maybe even that he tries too hard to be friendly. He's spirited young man who is a little desperate for attention, latching himself onto his own interests and anyone that shows any interest in him. He goes out of his way to help people and does other generally "good" things to get others to like him. Due to his lonely home life, he seeks validation from others. Sometimes his persistence can drive people away, which makes him panic and try even harder to keep them around. He moves through hobbies fleetingly to try and make himself happier when he's alone, and recently he's taken up magic tricks - that is, illusions, not magecraft. He enjoys seeing people's reaction to his tricks very much, so this particular hobby has lasted longer than the others.
Biography:
Jigen wasn't born into a wealthy or powerful family. He never aspired to be some shonen hero or shoujo love interest. He is a young man who, in his third year of high school, decided he didn't really want to continue in his father's footsteps and go on to be a no-name salary man.
Growing up as an only child was often lonely for Jigen. The Saito family was just like every other family in the modest area of Fuyuki - small, kept to themselves, and worked hard. Saito's father would often work late nights and his mother would leave for her own work at first light. It was rare that the three of them would be able to get together for a proper meal, but when they did it was always a nice time. Just because they were separated didn't mean they didn't love each other any less. Still, like most people this distance between the family grew as Jigan got older.
What he lacked at home he tried to make up for in school - he was always friendly, volunteering for things, giving things away and trying to help people. His overbearing personality saw many different reactions from his fellow students. Some ignored him, trying to keep their distance and focus on studies. Some liked him and talked with him when they had free time. Others were annoyed by his antics and considered him a suck-up, and others still took advantage of his open, naive nature. He was happiest in his younger days when school life was easier and students got along well with each other. Once starting high school, most other students were busy with their own lives: studying for college entrance exams, working part-time jobs, trying to get girlfriends or otherwise indulge in drama. There were less and less people that Jigen could call "a friend."
This continued loneliness led to Jigen taking up many hobbies. He was no good at sports and wasn't exactly musically inclined, so some of these hobbies were strange. His most recent talent: magic. No, not true magic nor magecraft - the layman's idea of "magic," illusion. He was actually pretty good at it. Of course, either due to a mutation or an forgotten ancestor, Jigen did have some capacity for magecraft, though he didn't know it at first. His affinity made his tricks faster and smoother, but more importantly he was more easily able to entertain people. The brief elation of making someone laugh with surprise was a feeling Jigen would continue to chase few the next few months. He spent more time on his hobby than his schoolwork, and after a short fight with his parents - the first time they'd actually been able to spend time together in a while - Jigen left the house and decided he was going to try and make this work. "This" being magic tricks - but not really, deep down he just loved the easy connection it made with people. An entertainer and his audience.
It was simple coincidence that, after a few strange occurrences later, Jigen was researching true "magic," and got caught up in the holy grail war.

Magecraft:
Jigen isn't trained in magecraft. Despite the below average state of his magic circuits, he does have some mild talent that is sure to blossom if he survives this war. If his abilities were to bloom, he'd find himself attuned to magic of movements - speeding things up, turning direction, stopping things with a barrier, etc. However, it's unlikely he'd see quick growth during the war itself.
Equipment:
Jigen is a local and didn't expect to take part in any secret mage war. He has nothing exceptional on him. Besides the things he has at home (normal teen boy room and possessions), when summoning he had his backpack, notebooks, "magic" tools, and a hastily borrowed "grimoire" from the old Fuyuki library. It's fake, but he since he was actually able to summon a servant, he assumes it's real.
Exceptional Benefit: Contacts
Jigen has slowly been become a popular face in town with his "act," delighting the young and old. He has a lot of friendly acquaintances that might be willing to help him, but in particular the staff at his high school have been buttered up by him so much that they'd be happy to do him any favors. This doesn't really amount to much, but if he needs to borrow anything, hide out, or send a message he has the means to.

Name:
Tutankhamen
Title(s):
The Boy Pharaoh, King Tut, Beloved of Amen-Ra
Class:
Berserker
Gender:
Male
Attributes:
[MAN]
Alignment:
Lawful Evil
Personality:
Berserker is fully aware of the curse attached to his Spirit Origin. He was already a sensitive soul in life, but the knowledge of his curse makes him into more a depressing person. Although pessimistic, he is devout and will follow any order his master gives him. He will try to remain a stoic, noble personality for as long as possible, but as time goes on his facade will fade and he will be more prone to sarcastic comments, angry teenage outbursts, and genuine sadness.
Objective for the Grail:
"This 'Pharaoh's Curse' is an insult... I will erase it."
Biography:
Wiki Link - TL;DR Berserker was a young pharaoh of Ancient Egypt, taking the throne after the death of the previous pharaoh at age eight. His father left the country in turmoil, so most of Berserker's reign was spent reversing decisions his father made and reinstating religion and places of worship that had been neglected. He was a popular leader with both Egyptian citizens and foreign dignitaries - often receiving gifts of all kinds. Although trained in archery and magics, Berserker was a small, frail boy and did not participate in the few battles that took place during his reign. After ten years of ruling Egypt, he died suddenly and mysteriously.
Much later on, archaeologists discovered his tomb, sparking widespread interest in Egyptology. Even after his death, it seemed that Berserker was a popular pharaoh. His death legacy of magic items, gold and jewels was eventually overshadowed by something else found his tomb: an alleged curse. This "curse" captured the mind of people around the world, claiming that those that angered a pharaoh's spirit would soon die a mysterious death just like Berserker did. This curse, whether it was real or not, became entwined with Berserker's legend. Because of this, when Tut is summoned into the Berserker class, the curse will begin to consume his Saint Graph and rewrite his personality.

Weapons:
Berserker can summon a particular item to aid him in battle. This is the Meteoric Dagger, a gift said to be sent from the heavens. Despite this, it is not a divine construct. When summoned by Tut in his Berserker class, it is nothing but a mere dagger.
Parameters:
STR: D | END: C | AGI: D | MGI: B | LCK: C
Class Skills:
- Mad Enhancement D+ ~ ??
- The class skill of Berserker. At it's base rank of D+, it boosts only his STR and END by one rank (already reflected in his parameters). When an enemy specifically makes a slight against Egyptian Gods or pharaohs, the ranks are further increased by one more when engaging said enemy. As the Pharaoh's Curse takes over his Saint Graph over the course of the war, the rank of Mad Enhancement itself will increase appropriately.
Personal Skills:
- Cursed Body A
- A skill that both helps and harms Berserker. Cursed Body makes it so that any spells that can be considered 'curses' have no effect on Berserker. If he is so inclined, Berserker can consume the curse (transforming it into mana) or counter it with his own. On the flip side, this skill also represents the binding of the 'Pharaoh's Curse' to Berserker's legend, a source of dismay for him. Eventually the curse will completely take over his body and spirit, increasing his madness.
- Divinity C
- A pharaoh presides over both man and gods, and are considered the offspring or reincarnation of gods themselves. In his purest form Berserker may have had a higher rank of this skill, but his corrupted legend has decreased it. Divinity makes it possible to break through skills that grant divine protection.
- Heavenly Lotus Sounds C
- A skill utilizing Berserker's magic trumpets of silver and bronze - however, as a Berserker, only the bronze can be used. The horn normally compels those who hear it to do battle, but when blown by Berserker, it instead sparks temporary insanity. It is considered mental interference, and can be resisted by a sufficiently high rank.
Noble Phantasm:
Name: Nebkheperure Ẋer Ausȧr
Title: Gilded Mask of Death
Rank: A
Type: Anti-Army
Range: 1-50
Targets: 999
Description:
The shame of Tutankhamen,
the invocation of one of the most famous curses in the world,
the crystallization of the so-called Pharaoh's Curse phenomenon.
Weak in life and in death, this is the only true way for Berserker to fight. Activating this Noble Phantasm wraps Tutankhamen's famed death mask around his head, instantly revealing his identity. An aura of dread radiates from the mask, and cloths emerge from it to wrap about Berserker's body in stereotypical "mummy" fashion. The wrappings can be used to ensnare enemies, but provide no defense - however the mask, inscribed with a protective spell, raises his END and MGI by one rank. When the mask is on, any who "desecrate" the body of the pharaoh must pass a steep LCK check or become cursed. That is, any who attack, touch, or are touched by Berserker. The curse's effects are amplified each time a "desecration" occurs. Non-violent touches and ranged attacks raise the curse's amplification at a slower rate.
The Pharaoh's Curse is one of misfortune. It takes effect whenever those affected are within range of Berserker. Once the curse is applied, it can only be removed by an extremely powerful mage on the level of the Age of Gods - not even Berserker can remove it. When out of range, the effects of the curse are paused until the victim re-enters Berserker's range. It's effect is this: those cursed see their parameters other than LCK steadily decline. If the curse has been amplified, it also drains away their mana and life essence. The more the curse has been amplified against the target, the faster the drain becomes. This NP is especially deadly for humans. Berserker's master is not immune to it, so they should take care not to touch him while the NP is active.
Activating this Noble Phantasm also as an adverse effect on Berserker. While the mask is on, it speeds up the rate at which his own curse devours his spirit and increases his madness. Berserker can deactivate this NP at any time (though this does not stop those cursed from feeling it's effects), but the higher his madness level is, the less likely he is to do so. At a sufficiently high level of madness, it may even take the use of a command spell to deactivate.
