After waking up, Adam prepared and ate a quick breakfast consisting of some of the food he got from Vadim, then cleaned himself up and got his equipment together so he'd be prepared if something happened. It was unlikely given the fact that he was just taking a quick walk to get to where he wanted to be, but this was a strange world and the unexpected was, well, expected. The man didn't encounter any members of his group on his way out of the hotel, which was probably for the best. The Druid had no idea what his destination's operating hours were and if any of them wanted to (deservedly) yell at him or something, he might miss his chance to visit the place entirely.

After a short walk, Adam had arrived at the place where he could find the information he wanted; the Earth and Fire Domain Library. Thankfully it was open, and it had a superb design, being made out of clay bricks that look like they were glowing as if they're metal in the process of being forged. Interestingly, they were even warm to the touch, but certainly not harmful. There was also a symbol in the center, located above the curved archway that was the building's entrance; a flower whose stem and leaves looked like a green torch, with the petals resembling a flame. The man was impressed by the structure, but noted with amusement that Eric would say something about the fire flower from the Mario games. Really though, the plant reminded him more of the Statue of Liberty, being much more realistic and serious looking than a Nintendo game usually is.

Once he entered, the Druid saw the interior design was more like a classical library, containing wooden shelves holding books as far as the eye could see. The ceiling had an ornate design, featuring bright colors arranged in patterns of different sizes against a black ceiling; Adam realized they were supposed to be fireworks and wondered if this was the way libraries of this sort were usually made. And he also had no idea how he would find what he's looking for, so he went up to the front desk; there, he saw a short, thin elven girl with purple hair and glasses reading a book. The man had no clue how old elves lived to be, but if she were human she would have looked to be in her early 20s. Hearing his footsteps, she looked up at the man.

"How can I help you?" she quietly asked. It seemed at least that part of the library experience remained the same.

"Yes, I was wondering if this place had any books about plants from Mytheria?" he politely asked, matching her volume.

"Oh, are you an enthusiast or something?"

"Something like that, yes. I'm not from here, so any information would be helpful."

"Hmm…I think I know where the books that you'd want are, but do you want to see our garden first? There are native plants there and it would be on the way."

Probably nothing there that would help in battle, but in this world of many unknown things, they could potentially use lethally poisonous plants as good luck charms or something. Actually, what poisonous plants could he use in battle? The thought had never even occurred to him, but now it seemed so obvious and-oh, right, can't be rude to this person. "That sounds nice, lead the way, miss…"

"Fiona. And you are?"

"Adam, it's nice to meet you."

The two made small talk until they arrived at the somewhat small outdoor space, located at the other side of the entrance. The plants were decorative, but there were many he had never seen before, including ones that had stripes like candy canes and ones that were holographic like some of Eric's Pokemon cards. In the center, there was a noticeably empty patch of dirt, so the Druid asked Fiona why it was there.

"Oh, this garden is often used by Druids practicing their invigorating growth techniques,” she told him. “That patch is where the Firaga Rose is grown. Outside of it’s natural habitat, the volcanoes of Dragonsridge, it barely lasts a day before it burns itself out and dies.”

"Sorry to hear that. Wait, was that the plant on the wall outside of the library?"

"Indeed. It's so valuable because it contains actual fire. Obviously not something you'd regularly expose a flower to."

"Could I try growing it? I seem to have a talent for making plants." Adam pointed to the crystal on his left hand with the other as a way of explaining it.

"Well, sure," Fiona reluctantly answered, "but please be careful, and don't be disappointed if you can't do it. It's tough-"

Her thought was interrupted, however, by the sight of a growing torch flower right in front of her very eyes. The flower rose up, slightly malformed, but the rose head and the fire inside was in tact. The moment Adam stopped, it burst into flames and disintegrated.

“You did that, without even knowing what it was…? Having only seen the symbol at the entrance?”

The woman was astonished, but upon seeing her expression, the Druid spoke modestly.

"This isn't that big of a deal, really. I'm sure anyone else in my class could do this."

“Not even close,” another voice intruded. It was a half-orc man sat by a small table who’d watched everything transpire. Glee Artorius was his name - famed adventurer of the party, True Grade. He blinked a bunch, then said. “By the Mother’s crystal tears, you couldn’t be further from the truth if you tried.”
While everyone else was discussing the newest member of Second Chance, Adam had went to sleep. It was easy to obtain for him, but it was not a restful night. The man's dreams were brutal, the deaths of Arthur and Clive repeating themselves in his head. Sometimes the events in the Hillocks would play out like they actually did, while other times it would be worse. There were sequences where the Druid would literally have blood on hands from killing the two himself. Other instances had the red-eyed individual restrained by the water ninja while he was forced to watch Aurok annihilate his team.

What finally woke Adam up was an instance where MacKensie was slowly being tortured to death by their cube-seeking opponent. The man couldn't cast, move, or do anything else to help. He could only watch as she suffered before the deed was finished; at that moment, the Druid was asleep no more. Looking out the window, he saw the sun rising to indicate that morning was there. With no reason to go back to sleep, the man got up and began getting ready for the day ahead of him.
@Saiyan okay, I'll post now. If anyone complains though it's your fault :P
I have most of a post finished, but I'm waiting to see if anyone else writes first due to the nature (har har Druid pun) of mine. Like always, I'm enjoying everyone's content here!
@Saiyan I do need to think of a post, but I will make one. Unfortunately Proxy had to leave the roleplay because of "real life" stuff though; I wish them all the best with dealing with it all.
You are special, James, and I would not like that your survival through these tricky times was left to chance.

I don't think Second Chance is quite that bad at surviving :P
@Zool I already knew where @Saiyan was, I guess you're just behind right now :P
Adam listened to Lillianna as she explained her theory about the cube. Some of it was stuff he already knew, but he was impressed with how articulate she was compared to when she first arrived in Mytheria. Less impressive to him was the fact that Clarissa seemed to enjoy asking irrelevant questions. Yeah, she was fiddling with the cube, but eye color had nothing to do with that. Therefore, he just shook his head. The less he talked, the less likely it would create a new thing for her to ask about.

At least she was grateful enough to thank them and spend time looking over the cube once they left. Adam felt she deserved a nod of thanks, even adding a small smile to it as he left the room. The man was willing to go to the hotel at this point, but his ranger friend (who knew for how long though) seemed inclined to stay behind.

"I forgot to ask..." she stopped a dozen steps outside the office, then half-turned back, before hesitating.  Then she simply said to her friends, "There is no need to wait for me.  I will find you at the hotel."
MacKensie Trydant

Adam wanted to tell her to be safe, but Lillianna seemed to want to stay behind with her instead. He looked at her with some confusion, as she seemed to want to listen in or something. He wasn't sure what he should do, so the Druid thought it best to head back to the hotel so he wouldn't be in everyone's way. If the library wasn't closed, that would have been his preferred destination. However, it wasn't like he could change their hours magically, so instead the man walked to The Mended Drum in silence with Fenna if she chose to join him.

Surprised to see a room already booked for him, Adam decided the best course of action was to go there and fall asleep. Maybe tomorrow would be a better day. Or maybe it would be the day he was kicked off the team. Whichever it was, there was no use in facing it while tired.
Welcome to the roleplay! Your character is certainly different from all of the others, which should create an interesting dynamic.
Adam was grateful that MacKensie decided to take the initiative to make sure the cube was delivered today; now the lives of innocent people could potentially be safer. She was always so brave, willing to do the right thing. When she charged at the ninja, he hid behind trees. Not that the man felt he had any right to decide the group's course, but this was one he definitely agreed with. Miss Trydant was one amazing woman and the Druid wanted to be more like her.

Adam followed Fenna, MacKensie, and Lillianna up the mountain to the Academy. He wasn't much in the mood for conversation, but rather for information; the man's eyes scanned the surroundings for the location of a library where he could hopefully find books on Mytheria's plants. At first the search seemed like it would go nowhere. Sure, the buildings were nice, but they probably didn't have the books that would help Second Chance - or whoever he was with next - survive and thrive. Finally, the right place revealed itself! It was-

“Excuse me,” she said to a man wearing robes – he seemed like the kind of person to work here. “We are looking for someone called Clarissa Shields, we were sent by Lucinda Bottrill from the Adventures Guild. We have a letter.” She gestured to Adam, who had taken the letter as per James’s suggestion, or instruction. “Could you please tell us where we can find her?”
Fenna Postma

Oh, they were almost there! The new library could wait. Information that could save lives could not. The man pulled out the letter and carried it in silence until the team reached Clarissa, giving her the document when it was necessary. He then continued not talking as the group went to her office. When she examined the cube and asked for ideas about it, Adam was happy to let someone else answer that. Fenna's question to Lillianna was welcome; his guess was that she would be the best person to provide this information since she had found the most out about it in the first place, but he wouldn't force her to speak if she didn't want to.

The man felt less happy about her saying his red eyes weren't normal. Comments about his eyes were common back on Earth, so that in of itself wasn't a surprise or an issue (though they were usually not rude back there). The problem was that it was indicative of him as a whole; a not normal person, one who had put his teammates through an awful situation. The whole thing left him feeling more dejected than he already was. Nonetheless, he did answer, if only to focus Clarissa on what mattered.

"Yes, I've had my eyes my whole life. The cube is more important though, so any help you can provide with that would be appreciated."
