There is little more horrifying to a sniper then the sound of an empty clip. More so when surrounded by demons. Hunter was absolutely covered in gore and blood, Voracia shredding everything around them. The rooftop was lost, but none of the demons could get past her onslaught. The creatures seethed and pushed, her claws and teeth flashing and eviscerating all who came near the sniper, who had finally exhausted his final clip. Spinning onto his back, he began firing his Makarov into the wall of death pulsing around the pair, giving a yell as blood splashed against his face.

"VORACIA, WE'RE OUT!"

The famine demon's hair dropped down, wrapped around the boy, and she catapulted backwards off the roof, dress tearing from a hundred grabbing claws. Lashing out with a tendril, her hair grabbed a broken window and the pair arced back down towards the wall, slamming through the glass and back into the top levels of the library. Hunter rolled with the impact, rifle jabbing into all parts of his body as he immediately struggled to get back onto his feet. He slung the gun over his back, checking all around with his pistol as Voracia slowly stood back up, steaming blood boiling on her body as Hunter walked over to her. He reached out, then winced as his fingers burned on her skin. The demon stepped backwards, breathing heavily.

"I can still fight!"
"You're burning up, you need to go."
"I'm not leaving you to die alone, you're useless without me!"
"Exactly. I can't have you die on me. Go, I'll try to rendezvous with the others. I'll be avoiding a fight."

She opened her mouth to argue, but Hunter released the sigil, and she faded away with a cry of protest. She'd be mad. All the more reason to not die here. He checked his ammo. The rifle was spent, he had used his entire cache, and had left a serious dent in the demons' numbers. Even better, his Overwatch had allowed a large number of students and teachers to evacuate safely. The downside was he was now left with a pistol with 20 rounds left. In the center of a demonic onslaught. Alone.

"Time to remember all that survival and stealth training from first year..."

Raising the pistol shakily, Hunter, blood-soaked and alone, began his trek to look for survivors within the buildings to rally together with.

"Hi Rai." She breathed out as her words betrayed her appearance of pretending to care about what the little demon had to say. She didn't care what they were - they were demons and they were after them. All she wanted to know was how to kill them and it had the appearance that fire did the trick; the one that Rai hit was now a steaming pile of boiling goo that was enough to turn even Cara's stomach. With grim determination and an expert hand, she slid her current magazine out and replaced it with one from the pouches located around her hip.

These bullets were a bit more fiery and would certainly give the proper kick to the apparently-flammable, goo monster things. Lifting her head up to stare at the rain, she regarded it with a grim determination before she pushed the boy back a little, constantly keeping an eye on the advancing demons. Once one rolled two close for comfort, she eased her finger over the trigger and unloaded an efficient amount of bullets into the little thing before he fell into a gooey mess.

She let a small sigh escape her lips - she wasn't as willing to kill demons as her other counterparts were but she made sure that the teachers never found out, or the students for that matter. If it got out that she was a demon sympathizer then she could have kissed her possible career and discovery of her mother, a long-drawn goodbye. She couldn't risk it so she shot a few more of the little demons without indignation before she turned and began pushing him along. "You move back to the school - I can move fast enough past these little guys. I need to make sure that there isn't anything bigger at the gate." She murmured with a small shake of her head.

Cara wasn't exactly trying to get rid of the fifteen-year-old but he couldn't move like she could and she knew this was only the start - she just had a feeling in her bones. Expertly swinging her gun around, she appealed to someone who would listen as she turned to Rai. With a flick of her wrist, she had thrown her the small stick of gum she kept in a pouch before nodding. "Get him back safely and try not to get him killed. I'll see you on the other side kid." And at that, she disappeared into the foliage as she moved without the constraints of a partner.

Maxamillion "hulk" Lovecannon

Maxamillion reveled in it.

The shattering of this demon, the smashing of the next. He had some odd sense of accomplishment he didn't find anywhere else in life when he did this.

He was meant to do it.

Smiling more widely then he had been for a long time he continued to swing and smack here and there, pelting slowly away at the never ending mess of ugly. He was almost too involved in the action to notice how much he was starting to sweat, or how his ally was calling out to him. Smashing one demon through another and into the wall he turned to see Lexion speaking.

Tuning out the bloodlust he listened. He looked to the jagged weapon in the others hand and then kicked a snarling mess off of his leg. He doubted they would ever need to turn the thing on. He had been swiping through them like ghosts so far.

"I'll stay close."

With that comment he did a full swing, a 360 degrees turn putting all his weight into a arm bar from hell. Clocking demons into eachother and over (some through) the railing of the nearest balcony. He backed-stepped near to the half demon and put up an equally footed stance. Each shoe lining up with each shoulder.

"After you."

He waited for the rev, the roar of the oncoming storm of metal. He waited for more carnage. Not paying mind anymore to how hopeless their current situation may be, how tired he would be soon after they were done, or how his fists were already starting to become bloody and broken. He just tuned into the symphony of battle. A hidden grin made by clenched teeth dusting his face. The clawed leg he had gained and the bitten shoulder he had been so gracefully gifted didn't even seem to sting.

His juices were flowing.

He was, content.

Rai was busy jumping from imp to imp, setting them on fire and watching them burn into a mess of goo, blood and bone. It was brilliant. She hadn't had this much fun in years! She knew eventually hanging with Steve would bring her some joy like this, blowing up demons and the sort! It was just so much fun. Eventually she noticed the imps getting shot by the archer. But those weren't arrows, they were bullets. Quite nice trick if Rai did say so herself, quite a display! She turned back to see her tamer standing back and grinning, he too enjoyed watching people and die and explode, it was what brought Rai to him in the first place! His sadistic core that he couldn't unlock without such an amazing demon like herself.

Now she watched the girl take perfect aim and get quite a good bit of killshots and take the demons out like flies, meanwhile Rai just absent mindedly threw fireballs at them, ignoring their claws trying to reach her. Everytime they did, she just bounced higher in the air. Stephen though, knew he would have to run. He didn't have his baseball bat to hit the imps with and he couldn't surive in a big attack like this. He raked in his bag looking for somethiong useful when Rai hopped over the horde, walking on the heads while setting them all on fire. He couldn't help but grin at the fight, watching the imps blowm up into balls of goo and hit the ground like rain. The girl was quite a shot, quite a shot indeed. He couldn't help but realise he had been partnered well.

"STEVE!"{/b} Rai's voice screamed asshe landed on his head, dripping with blood. [b]"The girl gave me some kick ass gum. She'll do. Anyways, we gotta get outta here, don;t want those things feasting on your flesh, The girl said we should head to the school and I'll need to come with you, cos no offence but you're useless without me! So...c'mon! Grab your stuff, we gotta move!" She cackled like a maniac as Stephen grinned and grabbed his stuff. He straightened himself up and nodded at the little demon on his head. She slid down onto his shoulder and he began to sprint towards the school.

As he ran, Rai threw purple fireballs around at the imps climbing down the walls of the school. Stephen winced as one jumped at him and he simply punched it in the face. " NICE SHOT STEVE!" Rai giggled when he turned round to see an entrance. He dived through it and then a demon rose before him. Rai's face fell and Stephen turned completely pale. "JESUS CHRIST WHAT IS THAT!" He screamed as he ran down the hallways hoping he wans;t alone. He couldn;t be alone. This wasn't the end, not like this. HE COULDN'T DIE IN SCHOOL! Finally he collapsed to his hands and his knees out of breath. But he looked up and noticed a boy (Hunter) With a bloodied pistol. He scarmbled to his feet and wiped the blood off Rai, but the blood would never come out of his red hair. "H-hey! omeone else!" He said too excited he wasn't doomed.

Jace couldn’t help but be a little surprised as the demon attacking them suddenly exploded. The sound of the rain had all but blocked out his partner’s verse, luckily though it was still enough to do some serious damage. He let out a sigh of relief as he shook his arms, trying to get the feeling back after blocking the attacks. He couldn’t help but laugh a bit at his partners remark.

“Luckily for us, you can take out the big ones like that. It would have taken me ages to even dint the thing.” He said as he smiled to the boy. He whistled loudly as they made their way to the door, alerting his wolves that were sniffing the tiny demons, of their departure. As they ran through the door, Jace turned, slamming it closed and bashing off the doorknob with his shield. He wasn’t sure if demons could use doorknobs, but it seemed like it might slow them down a bit.

“Lets try the other building!” Jace yelled as they descended the stairs. He took the lead and turned right as they reached the bottom of the stairs. He noticed the door to the hallway connecting the buildings seemed relatively untouched, so it was safe to assume that there would be minimal enemies that way. He quickly opened the door and glanced behind to make sure his partner was still following.

“Come on, lets gooo!”He yelled as he ran into the hallway. He glanced out the windows as he ran to see that the grounds had become covered in demons. “Fuck me…” He said as he managed to look away from the chaos outside and focus on the task at hand. He barged through the door and held it open as his partner and his familiars made their way through. Without even checking if they had been followed he closed the door and rested his back against it. He was worn out from all the running and fighting. Using his shield and his familiars together always took a toll on him, so he needed a second to catch his breath. He let out a deep sigh as he looked over to his partner.

“Sorry man, I just need a second.” He said as he softly panted, trying to regain his composure. He reached into his vest and patted his familiar, which seemed to be feeling a bit better. She hopped out onto his shoulder and took a perch there. His wolves had set off to check the surroundings to make sure they wouldn’t be caught off guard. He could hear the sounds of fighting above them, so it was safe to say they were in the right building. He set his shield to the side as he grabbed a little bottle out of his pocket and took a swig. He always carried around this little mixture of plants, seeds and water. Tasted like dirt and smelt worse, but boy did it give you energy. He let out a pained sigh as he finished it off and put the bottle back.

“Right.” He said as he stood back up from the door and looked around. “It seems as though there are people in this building” He said as he glanced to his partner. “The smartest thing to do right now would be to group up. I say we go get them” He said with an enthusiastic grin. If they were to get together, they might just be able to make it through this.

The frantic race from one part of the academy to the other had Blake beat. Once they had broke into one of the classrooms, they figured it was time they'd gotten that well-deserved rest after all the fighting he was only just getting used to. Hunched over and trying to catch his breath, he watched in horror as his partner downed a bottle of... something that looked like shit. After all that's happened, you'd think one would reward himself with a Cola or something. Letting out a chuckle as his partner grimaced after finishing off the contents, Blake stood up to look out of the little window just next to the door that stood between them and a million little demons.

“It seems as though there are other people in this building-” Blake nodded as the other boy spoke. “The smartest thing to do right now would be to group up. I say we go get them!” From what he could see at the window, the imps were scattered throughout the hallways and out into the courtyard- nothing they couldn't beat. They have only grown up to two feet, so if they managed to gun it around the building they might have a chance to bump into any allies. IF there were any. There was also that danger of two panicked teenage boys running about that might attract about a hundred more imps from around the area.

"I've got a plan..." Blake turned to the tamer. It wasn't really the best scheme, but with their situation the way it was, almost anything could help them out, be it stupid or not. "It basically involves us running around the building. We break out of here, use your big-arse shield to shove and plow those bastards that happen to be in our way while we gun it around the corners, maybe have your spirits distract those things if need be-" Blake paused, biting his thumbnail and thought about the rest of the plan. "That's about it. You ready?" he clenched his fists and prayed to whoever was listening, hoping that they'd run into someone eventually. If not, then they were officially doomed.
With both boys and the familiars ready to barge through the door, Blake turned the knob and allowed Jace to run through first, following him up. Using his shield as a barrier against the little demons, they pushed and shoved their way across the hallways and zipped around the building almost in perfect condition. Being the most obscure part of the academy, it was natural not many of the creatures could have made their way there inside. Unless someone coincidentally opened the back entrance on their way inside--

Low and behold, someone eventually did.

Blake bumped into Jace as he made an abrupt stop as soon as he noticed the panicked red-head from the further end of the hallway. He wasn't sure whether he should have been happy they'd found someone, or furious because that someone had also left the back entrance open, allowing the creatures to literally spill into the courtyard just next to the corridor. From afar the pair watched as the red-head clumsily got back onto his feet, accompanied with a yelling of some sort- the rain was making it hard to listen.

When they had noticed another student off to the side, fully clad in dark clothing and a single bloodstained pistol, Blake's eyes widened and he nudged his partner. "Jackpot!" This was their chance. If they all gathered up now, there was a higher possibility that they could make it out of this alive.

"HEY! HEY YOU GU-" Blake was cut off as a large demon blob that was presumably chasing the scarlet-haired boy let out a bubbly roar from the courtyard.

"Ab insidiis diaboli, libera nos, Domine!" he muttered under his breath, focusing his attack on the lower-demon as he bolted towards the red-head, Jace following behind. The spell was enough to snare the growing demon for about a minute, but it had also taken a chunk of the exorcist's energy with it. He was definitely exhausted. Excessive use of magic- now that was something he wasn't used to. Blake turned his attention to the two others boys and tried his best to formally explain, "Alrightguyssaveyourintrosforlaterjustfuckinghelpusout" he paused for some air. "We need... to group up and go find others... name's Blake, this is Jace-" he pointed at his partner, almost out of breath. "We're here to help SO C'MON DO YOUR THING GUYS!" And with that, he positioned himself behind the group, ready to wreak havoc upon the invading demons with his words, or so god help him.

Everything moved so quickly. In what seemed like a matter of moments, the hallways were packed with students, filled with shouts that rung loudly, with panicked air rising. The strangest, perhaps, was not in the confused frenzy, but in the lack of terrified screams. There was a stray shout here and there, but over all, the shaking roar of the building breaking was far louder than any collective yell for help. (Except the really loud one on the roof, but it was evident to everyone that it was definitely not human).
Ixion Farbrigth

"Ase!"

The school was breaking down alright. As his partner had stated earlier, there was power in numbers, and these little guys had a ton of both. The two had started off on their venture to find other members, only for a wave of students to surround them, to evade the inevitable destruction of their school. A red haired teacher was the last to leave, shouting directions that were passed on from student to student, Ixion having pulled Ase aside to avoid the stampede as well as the sudden lack of school. Before them, what once was a classroom was replaced with cracking bricks, dark demons sneaking their way through.

Ixion immediately raised his right hand, expelling shots at anything that got too near. A part of his head had told him to run alongside the other students from earlier, but in factoring the fear that kept his feet stapled to the ground, he decided to stay and fight instead. "Ah, shit," he swore as he turned to his side, wondering how far along this building's side the demons were slithering in. Would it be fruitless for them to start running?

"Ase, I'm gonna pick you up again," he said, just as he picked her up again. "Can you do me a favour and do your magic circle thing while I run? Just in case, you know." He fired one last shot at a black thing that hissed too loudly, jabbed himself on the thigh with his crossbow, then started to run.
Gabriel "Angel" Avlon

"Who the fuck--?!" blue eyes glared above as an invisible sniper wiped out Angel's hypnotized prey, only being one note away from expelling them. Someone always had to ruin his fun, ugh. His demonic ride leapt from the ground to a higher ground as Angel himself turned to his sniveling partner-- "And you! Shut up or I swear to G- to SHIT- that we'll go even higher!" Thank the Lord his partner was so easy to figure out, and that her fear was something he could easily threaten her with and not something like lamps or something.

Grunting, Angel took weary steps from the still moving beast towards his terrified looking partner, not bothering to hide his disgusted sneer. Using his sleeves to wipe at her eyes in annoyance he scolded, "What are you, two?! You're a demon aren't you? Goddammi- Shitting fuck, if you're not gonna do shit, you at least better believe I'm gonna save your ass!" And with that, his demon rode him into the thick of the rising demon spawn, which admittedly rattled him a little bit, especially when you know, it just literally shoved it's ugly mug into the school.

With nimble fingers Angel played a loud aggressive tune on Maria, nearby demons hissing and growling as they burned into ash.

Including his own ride.

"Ah shit!"
With grace, Angel shoved his violin and bow back into his bag, his demonic ride disappearing from underneath him. Suddenly, he was falling. And not just him, his partner was, too. "Shit, shit, shit!" panicked the angel as he reached for his partner who's name he didn't even know. Just before grabbing at her, however, he reached back, wiping his dry blood from a paper he pulled from his pocket, summoning a giant crab-slash-spider esque demon. "Get that girl!" he shouted, panicking inwardly that he wasn't loud enough to be heard because of the surrounding demons. Just before the giant demon mass exploded in white fire, however, Angel saw his familiar catch his partner safely.
And suddenly, all the demons that didn't belong in the school were on fire. Bright white fire, with hints of red and blue and everything in between, the demons' screeching and hissing inaudible over the flames' loud roar. The school, spare a student here and there, was empty, all other students having been evacuated along with the rest of their classes. Of course, those who weren't with their class weren't evacuated.

"A glitch in the system, if you will," said a man to himself as he overlooked the area seemingly riding on air. Smoke billowed from the side of the Academy's building, the large demon still covered in white fire. The lesser demons not attached to the large mass were quicker to ash out, and as the man's icy blue eyes glowered over the visible students, he huffed. "A glitch, hm."

"Ase!"

The sudden stampede and collapsing hall had certainly stunned the small girl, so much so that she had to be dragged back by Ixion, who seemed much more focused on the situation one hand. She tried to find her attention span, but could only focus in on the cries of fear that surrounded the walls and filled her ears and lungs and O God she was scared. Ase drew back as the classroom in front of them collapsed and more demons appeared, face still stuck in it's always-glaring form as her chest heaved, trying to force the panic from her mind. Again, Ixion seemed much more ready for this, already firing at the approaching enemies, but Ase could feel his trembling body as she drew closer to him. Her hands tightened around Patron, forcing herself to calm down as her mind began to bloom with ideas, most revolving around just sprinting down the hall after the crowd of students.

It seemed that her partner had a similar idea, as he picked her up once more and began to do just that. The hoard of tiny demons followed, crying out with their loud screams as they attempted to catch up, but Ase had been given instruction and she was prepared to follow them. She slithered forward until only her legs were held up by the blue haired boy and her waist was splayed over his shoulder. Now, hanging upside down, she had a perfect view of the floor beneath Ixion's feet. It was moving, of course, which would have made the circles harder to summon if not for Patron.

"Don't you dare drop me!" Ase called back before lifting Patron as high as she could manage and slamming it into the sleek floor. The amber at the top suddenly lit up, and heat filled Ase's hands, burning her palms, yet she didn't let go. Magic circles burst forward in a zig-zagging line, forming a trail behind Ixion as he continued to run. The demons that had dared to follow them stepped into the circles and then burst into flames, eroding into nothingness. The hungry pants turned into ear-wrenching screams, and black fire sent strange light flares from behind. Ase let out a heavy, withheld breath, rising Patron slowly. The staff was smoldering in her hands, and the sweet aroma of burning wood, amber, and flesh filled her nose until she slumped over Ixion's shoulder, chest heaving as she coughed away the sickly sweet scent.

Ase managed to catch her breath eventually, raise her weapon again, and send another flurry of circles down the hall. Again, more black fire and screams, and this continued on and on until Patron finally burst into flames itself; right in the white-haired girl's grasp. She let out a pain-filled gasp, throwing the staff away with haste as it vanished into ash. Ase trembled as her body fell limp against her partner's shoulder, eyes focusing only on the ground below. There were more demons coming, she could hear it, feel it, but she hadn't the strength to straighten and try to think of a way out of this mess. Her hands pulsed with pain, her head ached, her entire body felt like it was on fire, but what did it matter now.

They would be dead within minutes if they couldn't get out of this damn school.

And, as if an angel from heaven had heard her pessimistic mental whine, a sudden white light burst from behind them. She strained her neck slightly, trying to focus on what was happening, but could only catch sight of a few licks of flame before she lost the ability to move all together. She had wasted a lot of energy already. Her ears, however, were not something that used energy, and she focused on the screams and roar of flames down the hall, deducing that whatever was happening was probably meant to help them.

"Ixion..." Ase mumbled, trying to kick her legs to catch his attention, "Ixion... Be... hind us. Fire."

Hunter was trained to hide in the worst of situations. His stealth and survival techniques meant if he was ever caught in the wild, he'd survive, where others would die. He could make the smallest shadow work for him, he could disappear into a nook and reestablish Overwatch if his position was ever compromised. He was a phantom of death.

Except when someone pointed at him, waved their arms, and started yelling "HEY SOMEONE ELSE IS ALIVE!" like a complete doof.

"No, stop, be qui-!"

OR when two guys kicks in a door like Rambo, and begin also yelling and chanting. Hunter paled as demons scrabbled over the window next to him, attracted to all the noise as everyone seemed to take up positions...behind him. The sniper did a double take at the boys and familiars.

"W-wait a minute, you guys aren't knights?!"

The demons kicked through the glass, causing the sniper to panic fire at point blank. He finally noticed why one was chanting. He had ensnared a larger demon that was trying to climb up to them from the courtyard. The smaller demons, however, were flooding over, and Hunter finally heard the one thing he wished he would never hear: The empty click of his pistol running out of ammo. He couldn't summon Voracia, he'd just end up passing out and she'd burn upon entry. Shields, familiars everywhere, chanting, roaring, what was happening?! The sniper was in control of his situation not 30 seconds ago, and now there was chaos, he had no weapon, and demons surged around him. The boy winced as a blinding light hit his eyes from the courtyard, and his reflexes kicked in. Spinning around, he tried to yell at the others, only to hit the ground as one of the wicked blobs leaped onto his back, sinking teeth into his shoulder.

"AAUUGH!"

The shockwave was minimal, but it was still felt as the light beamed through the building, incinerating all the demons in it's path. Hunter coughed as the scent of ash filled the hallway, then...silence. His shoulder burned as the sniper laid on the ground for a moment, trying to soak in all the new information. The demons were...well, gone in a manner of speaking. Embers and ash drifted through the hallway of the library, and the sound of combat outside had ended. The boy stood up, holding one hand to his shoulder as he went into observation mode. It wasn't one of the boys he was with, no student could have mustered up that kind of power. A teacher? No...well, maybe, but no teacher he knew of. He finally recognized who he was with as his thoughts came together.

Stephen Jelly. The last name was apt. The boy seemed scared of everything and the sight of blood was enough to have him sweating in the Tamer classes. He was clueless to a lot of small details, cynical, and relied heavily on his Imp. But he was more useful in a front line brawl than Hunter.

Jiro Blake, an exorcist. Hunter was probably one of the few students who actually knew his first name, not just what he preferred to be called. He wasn't human, Voracia had made that clear. Or at least not entirely human. Hunter liked the boy well enough, probably because he helped fix a sprained ankle for the sniper when a class went awry. He was something like a bomb, his incantations were extremely powerful, but he wasn't adaptable, having to concentrate so much to use them.

Jace Stone, a knight tamer hybrid. The boy was charismatic and strong willed...when he wasn't saying the most brutally awkward things ever or tripping over his own words. High on defense and support, Hunter knew his type and was careful to avoid becoming too friendly with him. Hunter's reputation as being cut throat in missions would end up with the two of them clashing about morals one day. This kid would be a leader, Hunter knew that. But the kind of leader who wouldn't be willing to make the harsh choices.

Hunter winced as he pushed on the wound on his shoulder to staunch the flow, walking to the windows to look outside. A man, floating, that he didn't recognize...burned demons everywhere. A few other students...the sniper turned to face the others, wiping at his face.

"Someone just nuked the demons here...we should head outside and regroup."

The boy glanced at his hand, seeing the shocking amounts of blood on it. He realized now, for the first time since it happened, that he was absolutely painted in demon blood and gore. He really hoped it wouldn't infect his wound as he started heading towards the stairs to meet with everyone else in the courtyard, exhaustion finally catching up to him. His brain was already filing away all his observations from the fight, making a mental note to bring them up the next chance he could. All in all, the boy found the actions of the students, himself included....pitifully lacking.

Stephen was already in full on panic mode when the boy had tried to tell him to be quiet. He couldn't be quiet! He was being forced with countless odds and almost certain long and painful deaths! He knew a private school was a bad idea! Good god, why was he even her? Just because he was friends with a demon? Big deal...he'd be much safer if he was at home right now. But right now, Rai was thankfully keeping alive, but now he'd found someone to hide with! Everything was gonna be fine, it was all gonna be fine. He had noticed the demons were growing in numbers, good god, there was too much of them!

As he ignored the guys orders to be quiet, he looked around with a crazed terrified look. "We're gonna die, we're gonna die...." He muttered. Rai just sat on his shoulder laughing her ass off, at the same time as throwing purpler fire at the blobs of demonic mess. She was still having a great time! This was like a party to her, but not to Stephen who was having a freak out...

Just as things looked like they couldn't get any worse, two guys broke in the door sending Stephen into a fit of hysterical laughter and sweat dripping everywhere. He was having a god awful day! Why did the world hate him so much, it was like day after day or annoying ass torture and things to jump out and scare him. Nobody informed him he'd have to be scared to death by two other students. In all the chaos he tried to get a look at them, but there was too much terror and destruction around him, it was like some scene from I am Legend, featuring Will SMith. Stephen didn't know the two, he didn't really want to know many people, he just wanted to not get noticed....and survive. That was all he wanted, to be unnoticed and to survive.

He was just about to faint in panic, when suddenly all the weird ass demons exploded, leaving messes where they once were. He toom a deep sigh of relief, and slid back against the blood covered wall, it was at this moment he looked at Rai who was in a fit of laughter on his shoulder. She was drenched in blood, he was drenched in blood, Hunter was drenched in blood and the two guys were covered in blood too! He knew Hunter from the Tamer classes, he was alright, but Stephen didn't want to know people and become friends, no his parents had taught him not to trust anyone. But right now he was feeling rather woozy. "Hey um.....Hunter? C-could ypou help m-m-e to the nurses....." With that, he finally fainted from the scene that had just occured.

Madness. This school was filled with complete and utter madness. And even moreso, the task Hunter had sent her on made her recognize her own worthlessness in this moment as thousands of sounds invaded her head at once. So many sounds, so many noises -- the scent of burning flesh. Her head shook as she covered her ears and called out to her familiars. This place was going to go down, but Eika had to at least keep to what she had to do above all else.
"We need to go find Hunter and pick up anyone else on the way! I don't care what's burning, I can hear so many things..."
And that was enough to get the foursome moving, Immortalis diving down and mowing out what few demons that had yet to be ashed from being set aflame as Id and Ego followed in suit. ...Ah? ...That was his voice, wasn't it? A tilt of her head follwed as her familiars redirected her to the area that he presumably was in, the guardian dropping to his feet in the front of and adjusting his hold on his Master as she looked around time and time again. ...Silence? Id came to her side to give a light tap to her knee before speaking out in order to address her of what had happened.

"The demons seemed to have been set ablaze. As far as we can see...They don't seem to be around anymore. I suggest we take this time now to-"

"LET'S GO FIND GOOFY BOY!~"

Ego was quick to pounce on the words, a laugh on her lips as she damn near charged right into Hunter- and oh, look! He'd made friends while he was gone! What a proactive boy that her Master was paired up with! Straightening herself out and motioning Immortalis over with Id, Ego addressed the one she actually knew on a vague manner in order to garner his attention appropriately.
"Heya, goofy boy. You look like a hot mess. And you made friends! Good for you. Looks like someone's got some poor nerve though, if they're kissin' the ground already. So, I'mma take a wild guess and say that the demons gettin' ashed outside wasn't just a coincidence. Gonna go out on one of those human limbs there and say that it's time to waltz on outta this mess, right?"

"Ego, behave. Hunter, you shoulder looks injured. May I take a look at it?"

"Id, you're a buzzkill, ya know that?"

Oh, Hunter was here? Eika gave a wave in the general direction that he was in from the shoulder of the glowing guardian, face red at the fact that she'd been rather poor in helping out, despite all things.
"I-It's good that you're safe. And uhm...Since Ego's saying that there are other people around, hello...I hope nobody's hurt too badly..."

The words from his partner filled Jace with both hope and a little bit of fear. A plan was exactly what they needed right now, but at a time like this, a wrong move would be deadly. He listened with a dumbfounded expression. The plan was simplicity at its finest, but seemed like suicide. Although by this point, with blood dripping from his face and a terrible taste in his mouth, Jace was ready to do pretty much anything.

“Lets do it!” He said as he readied his shield. He charged out of the building and ducked his head behind his shield. He wasn’t sure where he was running, just followed the sounds of his wolves leading the charge. It was when he heard his wolves stopping that he abruptly stopped, struggling to keep his balance as his partner bumped into him. The entrance was left open and the demons were taking full advantage of this. A few students were there. A red headed guy stumbling around yelling and another one with a gun.

“A gun would be useful” He muttered to himself as he looked down at his shield. Sometimes he wished he could actually fight instead of letting his familiars do it for him. Then he remembered getting hit hurts. Yea, he liked his shield. It was during his little thought that his partner had started some kind of chant. Jace looked up to see a large demon coming through the door. As his partner stunned it, he ran in-between the group of students and the demon, ready to block anything and anything that might come to get them. He didn’t respond to his introduction by his partner, he just nodded and kept his eyes on the door. That was when the unexpected hit. A massive flash of light shone through the building, incinerating all the demons in the area. He stood up straight and almost dropped his shield in surprise.

“What the hell?” he managed to say as he looked around to survey. He noticed the boy with the gun had a hand on his shoulder. He watched as he made his way to the window. Jace felt a nagging in his chest as he looked around. Nothing about this day felt right. The demons all show up out of nowhere then disappear just as quickly. Something about this tasted off.

“Seems like the best idea.” He said in reply to the boy at the window. He had seen this boy before, and had a little laugh to himself at the ironic nature of his name. A sniper named hunter. Had quite the reputation around the school, but didn’t seem like that bad of a person. Not someone Jace was overly fond with the idea of working with though, even though his instincts told him that their skills would make a good match.

For some reason, he couldn’t recognise the red haired boy though. Jace wasn’t very good at remembering names, but for some reason he seemed familiar. It was then that the boy fainted, passing out on the ground. He was about to step forward and try to help when something showed up from the door. It seemed like a girl, but she was taking rather fast and not making a hell of a lot of sense. Then, another girl appeared, and a third one, this one looked like a student, but was on the shoulder of a giant armoured figure.

“Uuh… Hi.” Jace said as he withdrew a little bit. There were people he had seen before, fellow tamers he had noticed in class. Never the less, it didn’t mean he was any more comfortable with the situation. Why is it that he can fight demons and feel comfortable but as soon as new people showed up he could barely move without feeling self-conscious?

“I think we are mostly fine here, but that guy fainted” He said as he pointed at him. It was a moment later that he immediately regretted sounding like a caveman. “Anyway, I agree with Hunter. We need to get outside to see just what is going on.” He said before whistling and patting his wolves on the head as they arrived at his feet, panting heavily. “I think you guys earned a rest.” He said before holding out his hand and activating the tattoos on his back. His back started to glow as the wolves once again formed their Yin Yang symbol before fading away.

“But what do we do about our friend here?” He asked as he once again pointed to the boy on the ground.

It occurred to Lex after taking another look at Max that his bloodlust was present, Lexion almost did an inward pause to chide himself on not being more focused like his partner was, in fact, he was more worried about the student population that wasn't aware of the beings currently attacking the place, and whether or not the two of them would be easily overwhelmed with the over bearing amount of demons that continued to file into the balconies like no one's business. Despite all this worry, his heart was jumping at the chance to activate his chainsaw, a beloved source of joy for the boy, but one he would never reveal. He was often known not to have too strong of a blood-lust anyways, but that was because most people hadn't the chance to see him activate the rotors of his sword. He struggled to get closer to Max as soon as he could clear a way through the rest of the demons, his fingers itched up for a moment at they clasped on to the pull chain, a powerful revving that caused Lexion's worried expression to form into a slight smile. He took a couple more pumps out of the chain, as the demons became aware and were naturally fearful of the spinning blades, and the closeted space they were in. Lexion turned to Max for a moment, a lick of devilish relish on his face.

"Stand back, I wouldn't want you to get hurt.."

It sounded more like a threat with the way his expression changed, the clamorous sound of the chainsaw could probably be heard down several hallways, as Lexion took it upon himself to chop through a group of those weakling demons easily, a bit of swarthy muck landed on his face, and clothing, and maybe even on Max, but the latter didn't seem to care so much as another swing rained down blades on the next demon who dared to cross paths with Ridge. The slaying seemed to wind on and on in Lex's head, until he took one more swing and a sudden flash of bright light already had the demons who were remaining in a different type of agony, one that was not delivered by his own blade. Lex's next swing missed it's target, and hit the opposite wall, causing the sword to get lodged between the wooden upholstery, before he was able to pull on the chain and cease the rotating blades. He looked at rest of the demons as they sizzled, under the effects of some type of spell before being eradicated and turned into ash, then he looked back at Max, hoping that the fire was something of a godsend. Except for the sword currently swinging rather haphazardly between the wood it was lodged in, there was nothing but pure silence. He didn't know what to say, and honestly felt like he was just getting started with his sword, and so his high was gradually decreasing.

"Well I guess God choose a really good day to appear?" he said in a joking manner as he got the attention of Max. He wiped a bit of sweat of his brow, looking around again hoping that no demons survived the holy fire. Changing the subject, he noticed Max's bloody, injured hands. "Would you like me to heal those?"

"SHIT!SHIT!SHIT!

Niorin yelled as she ended up slipping on the ground as she heard the shots penetrate the windows and nearly make mincemeat out of Darius were it not for the demon in the way. Her ears were fairly pointed, and she could even feel the small hairs on the back of her neck prick up at the sudden sound. "GODDDD" she yelled again as she rubbed her ears, the racket from the weapon made painful decibels penetrate her poor sensitive ears, they already started ringing. She put a stifle on her annoyance for a moment to see if Darius was alright, she asked him "You okay?" before her eyes peered down the hallway to already see more demons approaching. The school just seemed to fall to hell as students wandered out of their classrooms, no doubt alerted to the fact that the school was under attack. Good thing they were clearing the hallways so the two of them could get some leeway into defeating the damned abominations. Her ears were ringing, but quite honestly she felt more than ready to fire off a few arrows into some demon ass. She was at least able to hear Darius putting a dent on their previous plans, no reason to go out there if they already infiltrated the place they were supposed to be protecting. She hoped that they wouldn't be blamed for being ambushed, but the widespread nature of the creatures, made Niorin think that there was no way that students of the Academy were remotely ready for a threat of this size. "Enemies may come from any side. Please keep an eye on our rear; I've got the front."

"Alright I got you, just don't fuck up or anything." she said, more than likely not realizing the bluntness of her statement, as she retrieved a different, neutral arrow to fire with her bow, no need for bombs, or poisons she guessed. She looked behind her while having her body face squarely in the opposite direction from Darius, as he bared his weapon, and those sharp needles he called teeth, Niorin smirked for a moment. "I guess the shark dweeb actually has some tricks up his sleeve eh?" She thought for a moment before addressing him. "Just be sure not to bite me, I bite back." she joked, but who really knows what context it was under. She pulled the bow string, affixing the arrow slowly, as a few demons were preparing to lunge forward, she wanted to make sure this shot was enough to catch all of them in one if her aim was right. Her Pupils sharpened considerably like a sight would on a sniper like weapon, with enough focus she launched her arrows, knowing that her arrow would penetrate a few bodies. Yet her expression changed as soon as the demons were burned in a fiery light, the brightness of it caused Niorin to cover her eyes for a second, thinking that it was harmful, but considering it could have very well been since she was also a demon, fortunately she was far enough to feel only a lick of those powerful flames. Her irritation raised to the point where she cursed. "Damn it, I just want to kick some fucking ass, and I'm stopped at every moment." she chided herself.

"Well someone definitely saved our asses Shark-Boy." she said with a hint of annoyance in her voice, before placing her hand on her hip. Her eyes narrowed in frustration. "How stupid..." she muttered as she sighed.

Blake was ready to give it his all to blast the mass of demons back to hell-- or wherever they came from. They were in a pretty dire situation, after all. As he proceeded with the first verse of a slightly more powerful spell, he was able to feel his energy draining from his core- lightheaded and exhausted, he was determined to finish, as long as it meant that that night wouldn't be their last.

About mid-chant, as if someone had heard their pleas, the creatures that had them surrounded suddenly imploded then burst into fire. It burned brighter than normal, something he had never seen before. Soon enough the sky was filled with smoke laced with an odd afterglow, which suggested that not only had the demons within their vicinity been reduced to ashes, but the imps around the rest of the school as well- possibly even the entire city. It was the demonic purge. At that moment, Blake reveled at the light show. His eyes glinted with the new-found hope, but his happiness quickly switched to confusion and shock as he joined in the students' chorus of "what the hell"s and "holy shit"s.

"Did we just get punked?" he asked no one in particular as he shuffled around for a few moments looking for hidden cameras. It was definitely unexpected and had put the group in shock, but nonetheless he was grateful.

He scanned their group after the demons' burning demise and hadn't noticed until a bit later the arrival of four other people-- or three. A student, two overdressed yet elegant women and... a dude in a giant suit of armour. Blake couldn't comprehend, but simply brushed it off and greeted the female student that sat atop the shining death-knight-thing. Blake looked back at the group and assessed their situation:Hunter, a student he'd recognized as soon as he got a good look at him, remembering him from that time a P.E class went wrong. When did he get his shoulder bit? Shit. The red-head, however, was someone he had never seen around the academy before. The boy had a pixie-esque familiar with him, and he looked to be at the verge of fainting. Did all the blood make him queasy? Damn, he's gonna have to get used to that if he's planning on making it through the battlefield.

"Yo--" He backtracked through what the girl mentioned a few minutes back, Ego said there were people around- Ego, one of her familiars? She had to be told that there were other people other than Hunter? Why would she need--

Oh.

Shiiit.

A sudden pang of pity hit him, slowly nodding at her condition. He switched his focus back to the situation at hand as a light 'thud' was heard behind him, glancing back and finding the young boy on the floor. Blake walked towards him and turned him over, struggling to read his name-tag under all the dried blood.

"Stephen... Jelly"? He chuckled to himself as he set the name-tag back into the boy's jacket.

"But what do we do about our friend here?" his partner inquired.

"No probs, I got him. For a while at least. Hun'ner, since your shoulder's kinda hurt," Blake pointed to the sniper's wound- "-I'll take care of mister gelatine over here." The exorcist hoisted the unconscious body over his shoulder in one try, nearly dropping the young boy on his head as he heaved a little too hard, but quickly managed to gain a firm grip on his legs. Stephen was heavier than he looked.

"We should get you guys to the infirmary as soon as possible, but first we also gotta check what the hell caused the fire and yeah-- maybe meet up with the others. Y'know just-incase." he said to the group as he walked towards the courtyard and the gates. It was like being on a tightrope with Blake trying hard to balance walking, speaking and keeping his butt clenched in order to keep his claws retracted and refrain from slicing into Stephen's legs.

The struggle was real.

He turned to Jace as they made their way outside, "You carry him after this please." Blake groaned.

Hunter took a moment to take a breath, focusing his thoughts. Prioritize. No one was hurt too badly. In fact, it looked like only Hunter even sustained injuries in the first place. Odd, considering the chaos that was happening. He chocked it up to bad luck on his part. He nodded as Blake picked Stephen up.

"Thanks Jiro. Pretty sure I'd just drop him if I tried.

"Ego, behave. Hunter, you shoulder looks injured. May I take a look at it?"

The boy winced, flexing the shoulder back and forth to try and figure the extent of the damage. He gave a nod to Id.

"When we get to the courtyard, yeah. Come on..."

The sniper hefted the rifle, immediately regretting it as the strap dug into the bite wound. Fortunately, his incredibly high pain tolerance allowed him to mostly ignore it, or at least not show pain on his face. He holstered his pistol, then headed towards the stairs, passing by Immortalis and Eika. He reached up and patted her hand as he passed.

"I got scratched, nothing big. No one else seems hurt though. Glad you're okay as well."

Heading down the stairs, he mentally went over his observations from the fight, and all the problems that had occurred that could have been avoided. Ignoring the incredible stupidity of whoever decided the students wouldn't have any faculty support during their patrols, there had been no organization, no communication. The pairs had dealt with their problems on a situational basis, leaving the rest of the school to burn if whoever floaty dude was hadn't stepped in. Hunter had been placed on the ground, a terrible position considering his skills. Eika's summons were powerful, but were wasted with pairing her with the long distance guy. As well, Eika couldn't stay on the front lines without putting herself at risk, which would easily take the familiars out of the fight when they try to defend her. Jace was a shield, why was he paired with a medic like Blake? It was like anyone who could ACTUALLY handle a straight fight were stuck together while all the supports were left to fend for themselves. It was an oversight of the faculty, a nearly fatal one that almost cost them the academy.

As for the students themselves...Hunter gave a low sigh as they entered the courtyard, eyes roaming until they found the man responsible for saving them. He frowned, not recognizing him at all. Odd, seeing as Hunter was aware of more people than most. All he wanted was to curl up in his bed and go to sleep, maybe take a shower...but he knew that wasn't an option at the moment. He made a bee line straight for the man.

Maxamillion "Hulk" Lovecannon

Maxamillion threw a stray set of festering fangs off his shoulder and heard his ally's warning. Looking back to see an expression that he didn't expect, one that was oddly close to his own. "Don't cut yourself." With that he turned, listening to the loud mechanical screech that echoed out from the beast in Lexion's hands. Flying forward a bit, as to not get caught by the things blades, Maxamillion went back to stomping his foot through face. Ignoring the gnaw he received from a lat looking thing, a wallop from some un-discernible black wisp, he just let the metal groan and the action happen.

His fist collided with what Max could only think was a chest, and continued until it drove it through the small threat and into a wall. A sort of shatter and pop sound ran through his body, if the adrenaline wasn't pumping through his body as it was now, he would feel some intense shock through his arm, but, he didn't. Distracted by this development if only for a second, led to him being overrun. A large wave of black annoyances washed over him, parting only here and there for his scowl or glove to surface.

Just as he was getting riled enough to bother calling for help, light, flame. The beasts were exorcised, turned into ash and becoming nothing more then a sobering visual effect for the boy. His face covered in demon...remains, he looked with one closed eye down the hall. His partner had lodged his terrible weapon into the school. His rush slowly leaving, and his arm quickly screaming, he nodded a little to acknowledge his partners first comment, then looked to his hands to acknowledge the second.

The right one, which was the one worst off, was shaking, a throbbing shock caused Max to grit his teeth.

"Would appreciate it..."

He debated on calling out his familiar, to see if she would heal him and his partner, but if the offer was here, why should he waste his energy?

"...By the way. Good job..."

He wasn't really sure if it came out right, but he didn't care. The awkward praise would stand, and it didn't mean too much either way.

He looked out to the balcony, still holding his arms up so that Lex could get a good look at them. Some old man was floating up in the sky. Connecting the dots Max's eyes narrowed.

Who the fuck is that?
Sel'ar M Eindz

Sel didn't know hat to do, the beast she rode on carried her about, her small partner standing comfortably on it as the pink headed demon struggled to not fall off. The world had become some sort of haze to her, colours ran together and images blended somewhat. A misty screen of salty water had layered her eyes, forming in the corners and being jostled about to bother and worry her further than her entire world which was already going to all hell.

A threat came from her partner, the boy/girl who had been aggressively speaking and playing at times. When the mention of going higher was brought about Sel yelped and clung even harder to the steed. Her muscles visually expanding as she put the effort into not, letting, go.

Once Angel had fished a short and terribly alarming tune, everything began to rise. Sel felt the hulking mass under her disappear, and she began falling.

The one thing in the world she never wanted to do again. Air coming about her everything else ceased to matter. The growing population of enemies, the flustered partner who was trying his best to save her, the white flame the engulfed the ground. All of it was gone. Nothing remained but Sel and the rising death. A blur of earth coming to meet her, to take something more of her then it already had.

Many kinds of panic choked the girl, her pale skin going a tint whiter she let darkness capture her.

Her eyes closed and she was done. Not being able to take it all she simply stopped. Landing limply with whatever odd beast her partner had summoned she just lay there, unconscious and sleeping the terrible fear away. Not wanting to wake up to her lifeless legs, her lifeless arms, or whatever the fall had taken.

She ran from the world.

Sel was "asleep" escaping one nightmare to the other.

"Just be sure not to bite me, I bite back."

Darius, in the middle of demon slaying, did a little half amused snort at the comment. "I fink I know wha i cah an' cah'h bi--AH! AH! HOT!"

He stumbled back a step and turned; half of his head was engulfed in magical flames. Fortunately, being magical flames, they leaped obediently off of him when he spat a large, fiery chunk of still-screaming demon at the ground.

Somewhat off-balance, Darius threw out his hand and braced himself on Niorin's shoulder. The other arm he wiped across his mouth. "Saved our butts but definitely didn't save my mouth. Bleeeeeh everything tastes like sulfur!"

Stabilised now, it was time to take stock of his surroundings again. Broken windows, scratched up walls, everything that needed to be dead either already dead or in the process of burning to death. Considering the situation a few minutes ago, this wasn't too bad. Loud rumblings from above. Partner looks a little irritated. Possibly violent; avoid touching again--

Wait. What was rumbling?

That was about the moment when a certain blue-haired student, together with a half-conscious blonde girl slung over his shoulder, raced right past them. They were making a beeline for the door...

"...Oh boy." And now Darius was turning, and pushing a startled Niorin down the hall behind the other pair, and saying things like "Let's go let's go let's go!", and realizing that probably the worst place to be is the ground floor of a collapsing building full of burning demon corpses.

Plans, like leather-clad bikers from the sixties, prefer to not follow the established order of things. Her plan? Well, like she explained to the Jelly guy, she was going to go and give the gate guards some back-up due to the completely sound belief that that's where an attack might be concentrated. Her plan fell away whenever the little demon blobs stopped falling, for some random reason. Of course, it wasn't a random reason, the reason --unbeknownst to her-- was that they were all regrouping to the mother ship, Aka the giant Mass that was moving towards her.

Initially, she didn't even notice anything until she noticed an absence. It was peculiar - she didn't notice a single thing unsettling, she just noticed the lack of everything. Hell, even the rain stopped where she was, the birds had died down and even the trees stilled as they watched her, almost waiting on the edge of their seats for the climax to this story. It very quickly made the hairs on the back of her neck stand to attention and her skin to crawl, early-warning indicators that she was probably dealing with something demonic.

Her gun was quickly down from it's sling on her shoulders to her fidgeting hands as she scanned the forest nervously, waiting, watching. Then her eyes caught something, if something was even the right word for it. It looked more like somethings, bunched together into a large being that was quickly advancing on her yet moving like a mist rolling up from the waters. Rapidly, she took aim, even though she had to just shoot in it's general direction, and began loosing bursts of gunfire into the thing. Unfortunately yet completely expectedly, it did absolutely nothing.

Nothing? Shit. Nothing was not good.

She searched for a possible weak-point; an Achilles' heal that would bring the seething mass down around her. Unfortunately, Cara was no hero from ancient times and she was certainly not tanking this thing by herself. Turning on quick heels, she launched herself into a sprint as she turned to mentally judge if she would need to use her soul weapon. It would certainly get her out of the situation but she would be demolished and incapable for any form of fight afterwards.

Not wanting to be viewed as a weakling, she kept her pace and made the mental decision to not use her soul weapon, despite the creature gaining on her. Suddenly, her eyes caught the gleaming metal of the fence as she doubled her efforts and launched herself into a tree close to the perimeter.

Her jump from the branch to the grounds was immediately set to fail as her foot slightly slipped and she was fired into a tumble-like jump. Still though, by the grace of some deity, she cleared the fence. Apparently, said deity had decided that that was their final act before resigning as the creature loomed over the fence with an ease that made her almost sick. Crawling back, she pressed herself against the fence, trying to grab for her useless weapon. A small tendril of the thing reached out, regarding her for a second before deciding that the school was a bigger opportunity than some half-blood with a gun.

Desperately, she scrambled for her weapon as she pulled it into her hands and stared as the beast advanced back towards the place she called home. That was quite definitely not on but there wasn't a lot she could do. So, silently, she advanced behind it, trying to find some sort of explosives device that could blow that thing back to the hell-hole it crawled from. That might have worked out if: 1. She found anything. 2. The school didn't begin crumbling apart. Or 3. The giant monster didn't suddenly burst into holy, righteous flame.

Confusion? Nah, bad word. Pandemonium? Frenzy? Havoc? Yeah, something more like that.

In what seemed like straggles of children, the group gathered towards one another, meeting somewhere in the middle. The sky snowed of dead demon ashes, and those that raised their heads in search of the mysterious floating man found him nowhere to be seen. But he wasn't the only one to have disappeared. The school was uncharacteristically quiet, and upon the gathering of all fourteen students, several suggested a search. There had been an evacuation, right? Surely they were close.

Despite the search lasting to the dropping of the sun, the students still hadn't even managed to scour the whole of the Academy's campus, much more sort through the rubble. The sun setting in the distance, several children decided it best to rest, the result of the day's activities hitting them all like bricks.
Ixion Farbright

CRASH!

"Whoops," apologized the blue haired boy as he used his armoured hand to break away the shards of glass, creating for himself an easy entrance with little to no possibility of harm. Throwing himself in headfirst, Ixion caught himself on the other side with a roll, pushing himself up to his feet only afterwards to bump into a nearby table. "Oof," he groaned as he made his way in the dark, his unarmed hand over his stomach as his other one searched for the light.

After clicking them on, he made his way to the door, unlocking and opening it with ease just as the outdoor lights flickered on as well. "Yoooo!!!" he called out, waving his metallic arm, the artificial light causing glitters of blue and white to flicker across the ground. After the excessive arm waving, however, a pang of pain struck in both his head and stomach. Oh. Right. How long was it since he'd eaten? Glancing around for a clock, Ixion managed that it was around six- last time he'd eaten was breakfast. Amongst the havoc and panic, he'd totally forgotten how... hungry and tired he was.

Leaving the door open, Ixion hummed wearily as he undid the crossbow on his being, taking it off and leaving it on a table nearby, heading into the kitchen to raid the fridge. Yeah, he thought as he rummaged through tupperware and brown bags, Today had been a long day. His partner'd K'Od, which was partially his fault, and he almost got them roasted to add, not to mention the whole disappearing students and the breaking down building bit. "Does Ase like pizza?" he asked, straightening when he realized something.

"Wait, do I have to open the girls dorm, too?"
Gabriel "Angel" Avlon

Angel had woken up to intense pain. As his eyes opened, white ash had showered him, falling off his attire when he pulled himself up. He had found his unconscious partner and his summoned demon waiting beside him patiently. After a minute of waking up, Angel had finally deduced the area of pain.

Having popped his dislocated shoulder back into place, Angel was still in quite a lot of pain, heat everywhere in his body and stinging pain. But hey, at least he was conscious. Sure, he had to deal with being bossed around and scouting the giant ass campus (on a spider-crab that didn't know how to walk without making the ride bumpy as heck) and having an unconscious partner (who, really, would've been useless awake or otherwise), but at the end of it all- At least he was still alive.

Still, thought Angel, as the sound of an idiot cheerfully called them over to the now unlocked dorms, What was that? As his mind tried to go back to the time before he was knocked out, all he remembered was white. Anything beyond that resulted in a headache, as well as an ache in his right shoulder- his bowing shoulder. The blonde's thoughts would then go out to his arm, hoping it would heal properly. It would suck otherwise. Turning to his now conscious partner(wait, if the whole school was demolished, were they still sticking with the assigned partners?), now on her slightly busted wheelchair, Angel pulled at his sailor-esque top to reveal his shoulder.

"Oi, you. Cellar," did he say her name right? "Is there a bruise?"

His eyes wandered from trying to awkwardly glance at his shoulder, to the earlier mentioned slightly busted wheelchair. What was that thing made of? Survived both a demon invasion and the collapse of a giant building. Of course, there where nicks here and there and the thing now had a habit of squeaking, but overall, daaaaamn. Humans made that right? asked the angel to himself, inwardly patting humankind on the back. You go humans, said the blonde, you build those indestructible wheelchairs.
The second spontaneous combustion occurred only minutes prior, and in the background of a newsline reporter that was currently on live. Gifs of the horrible situation has spreaded over the web, as well on other news stations, many arguing over it's legitimacy. As futuristic as this RP is, however, people are convinced no way in hell could have that giant ass explosion somehow been fake.

Ase had awoken sometime after all the remaining students had met up. Despite her confusion, she had decided to join in on the search of the campus, her curiosity and restlessness being the only thing that kept her body functioning. The group seemed rather rag-tag, a whole bunch of hunters and huntresses that either got along well or didn't get along at all, and Ase had decided to keep her mouth shut for most of their meetings, only speaking out if she found something interesting. Which didn't happen often, seeing as the entire school was basically just one huge mess, a hill of bricks and ash and nothing more.

The sun eventually began to dip behind the distant trees, and Ase felt her body begin to power down. She was running on empty everything, no energy, no food, and no water, and the more time she went without rest the more likely it would be for her to simply collapse and die. Luckily, though, it seemed everyone else was also feeling tired, and her idiot partner finally decided to open up the dorms for the group... By jumping through the window. An exhausted, annoyed sigh escaped her mouth and she slowly approached the front of the building, waiting silently as Ixion quickly rummaged around inside and then finally opened the front door, yelling out loudly as a sign to show everyone else where the entrance was. As soon as her partner vanished inside again she entered, glancing about at the interior of the dorm building. It was similar to the girl's almost identical, with a kitchen, living room, stairs, and whatever else was found inside. She entered the room where Ixion had broken in from and frowned at all the glass that littered the floor in a flurry of rainbows and twinkling lights. She took a moment to kick some of the bigger pieces against the wall before glancing about, looking for her partner.

Ase eventually wandered back into the hall, glancing into each dark room until she caught sight of the glowing kitchen area. The sound of murmuring and rustling drew her closer until she could hear the familiar voice of Ixion murmuring to himself, wondering out loud if she liked pizza and if he would have to open the girl's dorm too.

"I don't favor pizza, but I'll eat anything at this point." Ase leaned against the door-frame, crossing her arms as she inspected the white tiles and steel appliances of the room. Seemed sterile, how comforting. The white-haired girl lowered her head at Ixion's second inquiry, wondering if it would be necessary to open up the other building. While the girls would probably feel a bit more content, it wouldn't help their situation to break more school property (not that it really mattered anymore), and what if something happened in the middle of the night? Separating sounded like an awful idea in hindsight since most of the partners in the group seemed to be male-female pairs. Finally fed up with thinking, Ase lowered her head and groaned before explaining the situation to Ixion,

"No need to open the other dorm, it's best to stay together." Quick and simple explanation, hopefully it got her point across because Ase was getting cranky and she needed some alone time, "I'm going to lie down. Don't... Break anything." And with a final nod she vanished from the door-way and wandered back to the main room. She approached the closest couch slowly before finally collapsing onto the cushion, letting out a soft groan before curling up like a cat. Too tired care about the others and to tired to sleep, Ase simply lay there, concentrating on regaining her energy which would help with healing, both herself and the other injured party members. Her main aching points were: Her ankle, her back, her hands, and her head. Beneath her sailor suit-type shirt, her tail lashed and curled up tightly as a way to take her mind off of any pain that she felt. Rest now, heal later. That was the plan.
