Hey, this is our last summer to hang. We've got our own things going on come Fall - I mean, heck, I won't even be on this side of the country come August - and I thought it would be great if we got together for one last blast, make one last memory. My dad helped me rent a beach house out on the Cape and I'd love for you to join me. We've got it from June 21st until July 31st, and unless something major comes up - that's how long I'd like the trip to be.

Basically, Harper's looking for one last big fun get together with her friends before she leaves. There aren't really any concrete plans aside from drive out and hang out on the beach and party at the house. Plans beyond that can be discussed in character, or we can have a chat about it beforehand once the OOC goes up if people would rather.

These are the basic rules for characters:

You can have up to 2 characters, but if you do then one of the characters must be a friend of Harper's. Any characters submitted must either be friends of Harper or know one of the other characters going on the trip.

That said, I'm only accepting up to 16 characters. We don't have to have 16 people, but that's the limit.

Aside from requesting that at least half of the people attending are actually friends with her, the only real restriction for characters is that friends receiving the invite are 16-18 years old (either having just graduated high school or will be seniors in high school next year.) *Note this can be negotiated if you have an idea for a character that isn't a high school friend.*
Gender, interests, personalities - those are all up to you. All I ask is you think very carefully before submitting a loner or someone that could be labeled 'asshole'; this is a social experience, and - even though Harper might be friends with them - she would have used her better judgement than invite along someone that would make the others miserable or put someone in a social situation which they would probably prefer not to be.

Name: Loralei Harper Parker

Appearance: Harper has the petite frame of a gymnast, complete with pixie like features like a perfectly symmetrical face and properly proportioned nose. Her small bust actually fits her frame perfectly, making her small Bs look like moderate Cs. Slightly shorter than average, Harper only stands at about five foot three. Her golden topaz colored eyes are round, but she uses eyeliner to help create the illusion of narrowness/almond shape even if she isn’t wearing any other make up. Generally, she only wears nude smokey-eye eyeshadow and a lip gloss a shade or two darker than her own lips. Light brown hair color often confused with dirty blonde flows down nearly to her waist; she keeps her chin length bangs tucked behind her ears but not pinned. Typically dressed in sneakers, some nice hiphugger jeans, and a baby-tee - she likes to be comfortable day to day over making sure she looks attractive/dolled up.

Personality: Harper is sweet and kind of bubbly. She has a knack for finding the silver lining to almost anything. As much as she loves telling stories, they’re usually some awesome thing someone else did instead of her own exploits. Despite a childhood being the center of attention from her father and eldest brother, she still always wants to hear about everyone else’s day and watch/shadow her youngest brother; it’s not that she can’t talk about herself, but she’d rather hear about someone else, and she rarely realizes she’s turning the conversation away from herself.
Often times she wishes her life were more like a musical. She sometimes breaks out into a song - not in the middle of a conversation, but sometimes out of no where - just to get it out of her head or because she just wants to fill the silence. It doesn’t bother her if no one really pays attention, and most of the time this is when no one else is around. However, it doesn’t take much to egg her on to sing or break out into monologues from plays and the more people around, the better her performance.
She may not be much in way of negative emotion, she definitely doesn’t stand for injustice such as anyone putting anyone else down; that’s when she puts on her serious face and will step in to try to work things out peacefully. With three older brothers, she managed to stay the girly princess, even though she loves all the playing in dirt and roughhousing of a tomboy. Broken nail? Not a problem, that’s what the other nine are there for - that’s kind of her motto.

How they got the invite: It’s Harper’s trip
Brief bit about them: She’s an actress that’s been in a few minor roles for several shows and her most recent gig of being a semi-main character (in more than sixty percent of the episodes) in a series landed her a role in a made for TV movie being filmed out in California. There was a rumor going around school that she was a lesbian, but that was mostly due to her role on the television show where she did play one; that rumor is completely untrue even if she’s willing to play one for roles. She is the youngest of four and only girl - her eldest brother is twelve years her senior while her youngest brother is still five years her senior. She can recite lines from any play she’s been in (and even some of her favorite movies) or even sing songs she knows from the top of her head and translate them into the languages she knows - French, Italian, and Russian.

Notes: She doesn’t have a boyfriend, and hasn’t actually ever had a boyfriend. In fact, she has never officially kissed anyone; she doesn’t count any scripted kisses as actual kisses.

Gender: Non-binary, prefers they/them but allows she/her pronouns

Sexual Orientation: Asexual Panromantic – Not interested in sex but is interested in romantic relations of any gender.

Appearance:
Esther has a lightly tanned complexion. They’re all of five feet and rather a bit on the scrawny side. Has decent bust size, but the help of a binder, they have an androgynous look that makes people unsure of their gender, much to their liking. Behind large prescription glasses, their eyes are a lovely dark brown. Like their eyes, their hair are the same brown, worn that of a messy pixie sort of haircut, that being pretty short in the back and longer in the front. Most of the time they don’t even style it and it can be described as a bed head. Although dotted with moles here and there, their face is usually clear of most acne.

With it being summer and all, they’ll be all over shorts and tank tops and other light clothes. Of course sticking to their usually pallet of rather dull colors from greys and diluted shades of other colors.

Loves: Musicals, anime, chocolate, the internet, cats, cute animals in general, quoting her weeb shows

Likes: Singing (badly), playing video games, being lazy, gray colors, organization

Dislikes: Moving, being forced to do things, messiness

Personality: Esther is pretty easy going, and goes at their own pace. They space a lot, their mind being somewhere else, most likely thinking about their about trivial things. Esther’s main trait would be apathetic. That goes for their looks, others’ looks, things going around them, or just in general. They can be pretty snarky even when it’s uncalled for and is sort of how they try to make friends. This can put them as rude at times but they don’t really mind if people don’t talk to them because of this. Esther can also be known to be on the pessimistic side, being the kind of person who sees the glass empty even if it were full. Matched with their uncaring attitude is their laziness. Given so, Esther is pretty hard to anger and they brush it off easily unless they’re poked and prodded by their sister, they’re as harmless as a marshmallow.

Esther isn’t much of a people’s person, and can be a bit uncomfortable when around people for long periods of time. Now out of high school, they’re trying to force themself into interacting more with people however their social interactions are still awkward and obviously forced. It doesn’t help with their sister forcing them out of their shell but they suppose that it’s the thought that counts.

How they got the invite: They’re a friend of Harper’s as both shared some class together throughout high school.

Brief bit about them: Esther lives with their sister, but more so leeches off of her unintentionally. Esther’s had a bit of a rocky road to overcome during their high school life since discovering they were comfortable with being non-binary. Along with bullies and emotional turmoil that was high school, they were kicked out of their parents’ place as they didn't understand or didn't want to understand. Esther was almost instantly taken in by their older sister. Their older sister definitely doesn’t mind having someone living with her but Esther has a constant guilt about it. As soon as they can, Esther plans to get a part time job to pay for college, hoping to go for a major in English as they’ve always excelled in English classes. Aside from that, they hasn’t planned that far ahead, believing the time will come.

Notes: Despite not even looking related, Evelyn is their half-sister, both sharing the same father.

Evelyn has a tanned complexion, enjoying the outdoors as much as she can. She’s a good five seven, a decent height for a woman. Compared to her sister, she is much curvier, which is one of her better qualities she enjoys of herself, having a nice C bust and birth giving hips that she flaunts around. Her eyes are a lovely dark brown, the only thing she shares in common with Esther. She has lovely long raven black hair that reaches her lower back. Her bangs are cut straight along her brow, giving her a cute young look. She often wears light makeup, often dark eyeliner or something of the sort of bring out her eyes.

Her outfits tend to not be so modest, but decent enough to ward off the summer heat. With summer comes the short shorts and tank tops. Somewhere in her belongings is a
bikini in case they decide to hit the water. She tends to wear bright colors as if she were a humanized peacock.

Likes: Being active and doing something, outdoors, cooking

Personality: Essentially Evelyn is the party girl, the one who likes to have a good time and makes sure everyone else is also having a good time. She’s confident in all she does, be it looks or actions. She likes to help, but often overdoes it, being the sort of person to teach someone to swim by pushing them off the deep end (something Esther’s experienced personally). She’s pretty motherly toward Esther, often babying and dotting her with attention.

She’s rather vain, knowing she does look good and doesn’t let others put her down for it. She’s rather flirtatious toward anyone, be it jokingly or even seriously, it doesn’t matter, it’s all in good fun. She puts up an act of being the cute girl who knows nothing to her name, but she’s actually pretty intelligent.

How they got the invite: She sort of invited herself with the idea of being a chaperone but not really, and is going with Esther, who actually knows Harper.

Brief bit about them: She’s currently in college for neurobiology as she has a great interest in the human body and how it ticks. She has a part time job at a bar and knows her drinks well, often coming home pretty drunk and needed to be dealt with by Esther. Like Esther, she has trouble with their parents about the fact she's gay and their disapproving parents had kicked both siblings out of the house. This didn't affect Evelyn in the slightest and she picked herself up and now has a small house big enough for her and her sister and has a rather good life.

Appearance: Average height with dirty blond hair and greenish eyes. Usually favors jeans and a tee shirt with some sort of nerdy logo on it. Wears glasses when reading and writing, but can see perfectly fine without them.

Loves: Pretty much anything Sci-fi or Fantasy, even if it's awful. He also loves to write and play video games.
Likes: Drawing (trying to draw anyway), food, viking metal
Dislikes: Being the center of attention, being talked down to, not being taken seriously
Hates: The idea of being alone for ever, failure, hypocrisy

Personality: At best, people call Ben eccentric. He is often found with his nose in a book or typing on his laptop. He takes his writing very seriously and only shows what he writes to people he trusts. He seems quiet at first, but those who get to know Ben will find that he is funny, quick-witted and, deep down, sort of a big softy.

How they got the invite: Ben knows Harper from a Drama class they both took. Harper excelled in the class, but Ben found his skills as an actor were sub-par. Still, it gave him a chance to try some scripts he wrote himself, and even wrote a monologue for Harper.
Brief bit about them: Ben aspires to write the next great novel, but the closer he gets to graduation, the more he has to face reality. Writers have to eat and pay bills, so his parents are starting to tell him to get a job. Ben fears that once he starts working, he will never get his novel done. Even if he finishes it, who the hell would want to read it? When Harper texts him an invite to her beach house, he sees it as one last hurrah before going to the real world.

Notes: Ben has a massive crush on Harper, but he will never admit it to anyone.

Usually wears black t-shirts, blue jeans, her eyes are hazel not brown, her hair used to be brown when she was little but loves the color red and dyes her hair almost every two months and sometimes in different shades of red.

Loves: Music, 90's music, 2K music, anything to do with rock music, the color red, guitar, piano, books, video games, singing, soda spicy foods, and song writing.

Likes: Dancing, candy, sleeping, writing, and painting, cats, dogs and baby animals.

Dislikes: loud noises, bugs, cold weather, and snow.

Hates: Rain, bullies, annoying people, loud noises, nails on a chalk board sound, and being told what to do, and hates being called girly, or wear girly things, hates the really girly type girls, being called goth or emo.

Personality: Elaina is more of the free spirited kind of girl she likes to go out and have fun, and make new friends, she has been known to be a tomboy. She has been known to have a short fuse at times when there is a bully around bullying her friends she will go out of her way to berate them, and sometimes would yell at them. Elaina is one of those friends who is extremely loyal to them and can be very protective at times. Elaina is also known to be a prankster at times and knows if things will go to far. She also knows how to have a really good time.

How they got the invite: Elaina has been friends with Harper since her first day of high school when she was new to town, and was natural to get an invite from her due to being close friends since their first day.

Brief bit about them: Elaina was born into a family of mostly girls, having one older brother and three younger sisters being the second oldest Elaina tends to be closer to her brother Mathew who is twenty-five and her father. As Elaina got older she started to act and dress more like a boy when she finished middle school Elaina decided to start dyeing her hair red, her old hair color use to be brown. Her father used to be in a band that's where her love of music had started her father's band had gone on only a few tours but never truly got off the ground. Her father enjoyed teaching Elaina how to play, she is also very close to her mother who, throughout her middle school years Elaina had been bullied by some of her classmates due to her tomboyish nature but she always stood up for herself and others. Following her love for music like her father did Elaina started a small band where she has sang for school events and sometimes has entered contests, her goal is to become a singer someday and 'travel' the world someday.

Notes: How she sounds like when she sings. She has never dated anyone before.

Alright, so I know my co-mod (Beebee) may or may not get sheets up today, but I can say this - all the sheets so far are accepted. (Also, @ Nobody, Harper probably would have been interested to find out what he writes, 'cause her dad's a writer. And she would have loved that he wrote a monologue for her to perform.)

All the ways they met up are excellent and totally appropriate. And Evelyn inviting herself along sounds extremely realistic in relation to what you've said to her character. I have high hopes we're all going to have fun with this.

Nickname: By him, 'That Guy Who Doesn't Do Much Except...sit...down..and...' but that's the only nickname people bothered to give him.
Age: 18.

He has incredibly pale skin, probably because of him going outside so little. He also has really, really fragile skin, because of this...same, thing as his pale skin. He has a skinny build, usually from his occassional 'not eating' sessions that happens each and every week. He has...what, blondish/light orange hair, which is gigantic and curly and other such things, which is supposed to be 'genetics.' He also has light blue eyes that...probably doesn't compliment many parts of him, hethinks. I think there's nothing else to, really, say.
Loves: Cats. All cats.
Likes: Cool people that are his friends, trying to BE a cool person, technology, not exercising
Dislikes: Dogs. All dogs. Yes.

See, this guy here is the wimpy type. Not the one that likes to fight a bunch of creatures surrounding him. In fact, in his first fight, he's probably gonna say "What? WAIT WHAT WHAT IS THIS-" and cower with both of his arms covering his whole body, knee up and everything. Why? Because he is that much of a dork. In fact, he gets easily flustered and he overreacts over the simplest of things, like his age on a paper. "Wait, wouldn't the other people look up to me because I'm older? Noo, then they might figure out soon enough that I'm lying about my age. But if I put my age, they might bully me about it. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-" Yeah. He is perfectly that type of person, and he will always be that person for most of the time.

He just wants to be cool. That's the guy he is. He wants to be a cool guy. A seriously cool guy, like maximum cool, like known by everyone cool, like 'oe shit dun mess wit dat guy, joo heer? he da chillost guy.' That's the guy he wants to be. An aspiring cool guy. I mean, he would be liked if he was cool, right? People just like him because he's easy to tease, right? He'd be the perfect cool guy, right? Guys? BACK ME UP HERE!
How they got the invite: He was good friends with Harper, because she was one of the people who he thought cool. And funny. And fun to be with. He likes parties very little, (maybe because he was NEVER INVITED TO ANY:c) but he does like his friends a lot, so he ended up going anyways, since Harper was leaving and other such things.
Brief bit about them:
Growing up, when he was about 8 or so, his dorkiness started to show. He started to become lots more of a pacifist than he was when he was much younger, and so he didn’t like fighting. Like, at all. Like, he hated it. When he had to, he would always wimp out, and this resulted in his nickname, ‘Wimp.’ Obviously, he hated that too. So, he started thinking that he HAD to fight. You know, to be super cool. Supercool. That was his new goal, to get the nickname Supercool.

See, since he was a wimp from age 8 to now, nobody really hung out with him. Well, maybe the couple of friends that didn't goe to den KEWL KIDS. In da cluuuuuuub. He was very envious of their club though. That’s why he wanted to be cool..er. He wanted to be cool, but not one of those jerks who left their friends when they were cool, he didn’t want to be like those people. He wanted his dorky friends, and some cool friends. A balance. A healthy, healthy, balance.

His family life was a...bit of a mess. Not too much.

He was an only child for 5+ years of his life of his knowledge, and not knowing he had two brothers until he was about 6 or 9 at the most. It wasn't hard, though. A middle-class family, and with classic family issues. Yes.

And until he was about 8, he didn't get to see his mother much. In fact, his mother was going to a school for beauty at age 30, BUT, his father was a slightly-known beat maker, and this he took slight pride in. Nobody knew about him at school and stuff, so.....fuck. and it didn't pass on. FU-

I just wanted to give people an update. I have heard from Chupatoasta and sheets for skler characters will be posted sometime this weekend. Busy life and whatnot lately. Which means it's not likely to start until I've reviewed those characters. And I'm waiting on an alteration before I even review another.

Alright, so it's been more than three days since I last posted - I know.

Are people still interested in this? Because if you guys are, we'll start it up with the characters that have been accepted.
