Morito tried his best to betray no sign of surprise or annoyance in his reaction as Saber walked into the bar, instead coolly sipping from the glass of milk with a grateful, cheery smile on his face as if he hadn't noticed the knight's entrance as soon as she walked in, despite the fact that she was rather distinctive in terms of appearance and seemed to have an unusual sword drawn at the moment.

Instead he addressed the man who'd asked if he was new to this place, keeping up his best innocent act as he did. "Um...yeah, I just got here today! For some reason some spooky guy called 'The Viewer' wants me and a lot of other people to play in some dangerous game! I-I guess I have to...but I really just wanna go home! So I tried exploring to see if there was another way out but...I got lost. Can you tell me what else is around here, or anything else, please?!"

Hopefully that would get people talking since beating information out of them was no longer an option if he wanted to maintain his cover. In line with that, he pretended to notice that Saber had walked in for the first time, assuming she had overheard his comments about being lost. He hated to play on her protectiveness and seeming good nature like he had been, but unless it became deadly necessary he didn't intend to drop the act. Besides, this world really did seem to have things that he might legitimately need protection against.

"Oh! You found me! I was totally lost!" He made almost like he was going to hop off of the stool and run over to the female knight but then tripped on the stool as he dismounted, stumbled a little, then laughed in embarrassment "This place is HUGE! There are all sorts of people and creatures around and I'm pretty sure there are big things flying in the air! But luckily I found this nice bar! They serve milk here, they probably have food too!"

"Never meet this viewer guy but he seems like kind of a jerk not telling us and all,Well like you kiddo i don't know much about this place but maybe your lady friend can tell us where to go" The clown jumped off of his stool quickly chugging his milk,He placed the glass on the table walking over to Saber with his cheshire grin now standing in front of the two.

"So missy can you guide a us to to the light and away form the darkness" Joker spoke in a dramatic sort of way holding his arm out,After a while he put hand back down to his side then on his waist.

Korra looked at Vash approach her and then she felt him take hold of her hand. "This really isn't the time for that you know?" Korra said furiously as she stomped on the ground causing a small spike of earth to rise up in front of Vash, heading towards him and hitting him in the stomach and stopping him long enough for Korra to get to the front, away from Vash. She turned to the lizard, rather reluctantly, but it seemed like he knew a lot about what was happening here. "What did he mean by Challenger, who is this Viewer, and what are these Trials?" she asked rather frustrated now because she knew that whatever Vash was talking about, she would not like it.

Saber

Saber held out her hand towards Morito. Internally, she felt that simply wandering off had been quite a dangerous act, given they did not know this location very well. She did not wish for any harm to come to someone who was incapable of defending themselves. Her expression was a rather stern one, even if she was glad to see that the boy had not been harmed. "You should not have wandered off. We do not yet know this city."

Speaking of unknowns... the man who had appeared was an unusual one. His manner of speech, his dress... and needless to say, his face. Saber could not tell if it was makeup or not, but he resembled some kind of grinning clown. It was another face Saber found herself distrustful of, to say the least. It did not help that he was constantly grinning. And his request was a strange one, to which Saber felt it there was only one real response.

"... My class is Saber," she began. She did not wish to be referred to as 'missy', that was for certain, "And I do not understand what you mean. I can only bring you to the hotel if you wish to learn more of this situation."

Joker

"Well some place of what is going would be quite swell don't you think,Well then what is your real name miss ummm?" Joker paused at this rubbing his chin with his white gloved hand. His eyes glazed over to Korra hitting Vash with a rock but she didn't throw it so i seemed sort of strange to him but honestly he had seen more stranger things like men flying and god like figures.

The clown prince laughed loudly hitting his knee,"Hahahahaha that's hilarious ya know your pretty funny" He said to Korra a burst of laughter coming form his mouth making the patrons of the bar back off a little form the strange man.
Connor

Connor who was right behind Vash was watching what was going on and then while Vash, the rock throwing girl and the clown were busy the immortal turned to face Saber to ask her a question,"So do you know anything about these watchers and the trails?" He said standing in front of her seeing the clown laughing made goosebumps go up his spine,He didn't know what it was but this man or clown was very creepy.

She turned to look at the lizard expecting some answers to her questions, she was very confused as to why she was there or what everbody was talking about with these Trials and her maybe being a Challenger (whatever that means). She kept walking next to the group trying to remain close to the lizard who appears to have some answers to her questions.

Sazh looked once more, still waiting a few moments. It looked like at least MOST of the conflict going on was dispersed (perhaps not all entirely by Sazh's hand), aside from that cynical girl who was laughing at some other lady off to the side. Wait, now that woman next to the flaming person was flying, too? No, focus. You came here to tell things, so tell the things.

"Okay, if we're all mostly settled down..." Sazh spoke out, before beginning to speak with intent, yet caution. "For starters, this whole world you are in right now is a sort of... mash-up, of parts of many other worlds. Now, all of us here, along with some others, have each been taken from your respective places by the-... God-like being who created this place, called the Viewer."

Sazh paused for a moment, before continuing on, "Bear with me here... the Viewer has brought us here to take part in 21 different trials, over 21 days. Whoever completes all of these trials, gets to make any one wish, exactly as you imagine it. But, whether you want to compete or not, you'll be stuck here until the span of all the trials is completed." Sazh stopped again for several seconds, judging everyone's reactions, and then tacked on, "Yeah, I know it might sound ridiculous, but that's how I heard it! Either way, we're all kinda trapped here, so..."

Sazh scratched his head. Now what-? Oh, right, the city and the hotel and all that. "And, uh, we've got a big city over there, with a neat-lookin' hotel and all that. We've got, like, uh, 3 hours before the trials begin, so if you wanna rest up or prepare anything, now would be the time! Oh, and whatever you do, don't die. Dying is really bad." Hopefully that covered everything, despite how hasty it was.

No explanation given, but saber rapidly crossed the street and entered the bar Ba'al had pointed out to her, seemingly determined to find out what was going on inside. And since Ba'al was curious as well, he followed along, at least so he could get a better view of whomever the other challengers might be. He stepped in behind her, avoiding Excalibur as he scanned the bar and it's patrons.

What he saw surprised him, and he couldn't help an expression of recognition before clamping down on that. Not just the boy from before, but the other figure....the makeup, the mannerisms, he recognized those. And surely it was impossible, yet here the man was. The Clown Prince of Crime, the Dark Knight's greatest nemesis, the Joker. He didn't point that out, figuring the man would announce it soon enough, but he did keep it in mind. Thank goodness for Tau'ri culture. He could find some use for the clown, perhaps in a situation where one needed to be disposed of, and he knew the majority would probably find it agreeable to remove the unstable, homicidal psychopath rather than someone else.

He decided to save Saber some trouble and answered for her. "I am Ba'al," he said, before the explanation. "Where exactly this is is unclear, however I, Saber, and the boy, perhaps yourself, have been summoned here by a nigh omnipotent being known as the Viewer to compete in a set of 21 challenges, the winner of which will be granted a wish of their choosing. Failure results in us being stuck here, and death results in, well, death. I hope that clears things up Mr..."

Vash released his grip almost instantaneously as Korra stomping the ground somehow led to a painful jab to the stomach — causing Vash to slowly topple over onto his knees as the Avatar walked past him. “Ah… what a fierce woman…” Vash grunted, clearly in pain and yet seemingly still so happy. “It’s as if the power of her spirit alone can bend her surroundings to her will…” he mused as his eyes landed on the jagged rock in front of him.

Joker

'So anyone have a good joke to tell?" He said to the other men in the bar wanting to break the ice a little while the other patrons were looking at them funny,Joker while waiting for a respond from the other two pulled out some dollar bills smacking on the table to pay for his milk.
Conner

"Conner McLeod of the clan McLeod...So we are like ants in a anthill..." Conner was walking beside Ba'al his hands to his side,"Did the Viewer give you any other information on these trails or anything that could help us?" Connor was mostly concerned that he wouldn't make it out alive that he wouldn't see Brenda Wyatt his lover again and that would be the worse punishment then being immortal.

"Yes also the city has seemed to come to life during our time in the hotel, most of the residents are out. I am not sure of some of them, we have not been attacked yet though." He still had his reservations of those people down there these people were obviously here for a reason as to what that reason was, only time would tell. "We were asked to bring you all to the hotel, though I suppose we will be taking someone back to the hotel. Others are checking out the hotel to make sure its completely safe as is." He nodded a bit thinking that was all that was to be mentioned. "If you do get the wish be careful what you wish for, the Viewer said no evil intentions but, that doesn't mean it will be as you planned."

Sorin continued to stalk through the streets as its various residents slowly emerged from their domiciles. It was clear that this Viewer had stolen far more that the handful of people that Sorin had met from their rightful planes. Worse yet, Sorin was able to gather from brushing the minds of these abductees that this act of summoning "challengers" for entertainment was a somewhat frequent occurrence. This only infuriated Sorin more. The Viewer was actually a substantial threat to the Multiverse, and one Sorin would not stand for. Still, as he had earlier concluded, he had no means of dealing with him without playing along with these inane "challenges."

The diversity of the city streets reminded Sorin of the city-plane of Ravnica, though it put him somewhat on edge. He would need a place to settle in for his (hopefully) short stay on this plane, as he refused to pack in the the rest of the herd at the "Oasis" building. He soon enough found a quaint manor, not unlike something that could be found in his home of Innistrad.

Sorin invited himself in, and was quickly met with the objections of the mayor's residents. From what Sorin could tell, they were simple, homely folk. All the easier to deal with.

"I will be requisitioning your home for the next month; perhaps longer, but hopefully not. Feel free to stay with neighbors in the meantime. I understand that this may be contrary to your own desires, but I recommend that you direct all of your well-reasoned arguments will to my sword." He said, a dangerous gleam in his eye.

The residents got the hint and scurried out. No magic, just simple persuasion. There was a reason that the vampires of Zendikar knew him as the Mortifier, and it wasn't because he had an open and approachable personality.

Okay then. Well, she's certainly special, isn't she?. In between her somewhat chaotic rsponse and strange body motions, the Pokémon Trainer seemed a bit... unhinged to Felt. Of course, he wouldn't actually speak those thoughts out to the girl. For one, there was no reason to. Second, they'd only just met, it wouldn't be fair to judge her on those few minutes. And last but not least, not everyone can keep their head cool in or after a battle. Not to mention the fact that even with her shortcomings, Whitney did seem like a nice person to him.
"I disagree. You can control these... Pokaymon in battle well enough. Not everyone can do that, right?", Felt smiled. From the alchemist's perspective, Pokémon were either some kind of Mana or some kind of monster. As such, controlling even one of either kind would already be quite an accomplishment to him, let alone six of them.
-"Furthermore, I don't know how much Felt could do with an ordinary sword," the Azoth interjected. -"An Azoth such as I gives great boons to the wielder, increasing their speed and power to above their normal limits. This is due to the special alloys and materials used in creating an Azoth, not the least of which is the Rub-"
"Anyway... ," Felt interrupted his blade's rant, partly to steer the conversation to a topic less degrading to him and partly because judging by the tone of the Azoth, his spiel might've lasted for hours if given the chance. "You mentioned healing items. Are you or your Pokaymon hurt anywhere?," he asked Whitney as he retrieved a greenish-looking potiong seemingly out of thin air. Sure, the battle didn't take long, not to mention that it didn't seem like any attack even came close to hitting Whitney's comrades. But still, the least he could do was ask, especilly with his easy access to basic healing items.

As far as the afro man's explanation went, Felt had heard at least the gist of it from the Viewer himself -- although this was the first time he'd actually heard the name 'Viewer' due to the fact that he wasn't there from the start. All in all, it was a nice source of information, even if he already knew most of it.
"Well, dying being a bad thing seems obvious enough to me," Felt muttered. Of course, everyone being somehow unable to die in this place would've been another explanation for the two apparent mutual serial killers unexplained recovery, but that was something he wasn't going to put to the test any time soon.
That being said, taking a rest somewhere before these 'trials' would start was probably a good idea. Not that he was really tired, but still.

The Hotel

The lizard glanced at Korra spiking the earth into poor Vash and then nodded with an amused and somewhat toothy grin, his oddly flappy ears working like streamers at his head movement. He then covered the details of how the Viewer was an entity with god-like powers, how he gathered bits and pieces from various universes, and how none of the place would be sent back until people called Challengers can successfully clear 21 Trials spaced over 21 days. "And that's the gist of it."

Shiroe committed every memory to detail, pausing to glance at the clock. It seemed that time had been rapidly filing away and now there was only two hours remaining before the trials began... As if to emphasize his point, something began to happen, much like a tremor that shook the surroundings enough to audibly rattle the glassware and picture frames for a few seconds before resettling. Objects outside also rattled, including windows and lamps, which caused a great many pedestrians to hurry up and bolt for shelter. It appeared they were well versed to the event. "Ah, that would be the preparations then. The City is preparing to reshape itself..." The Bangaa said with some excitement, a giddy gleam coming into his eyes. Out in the open, the enormous dark spire that punctured through the clouds themselves began to light up with a dim violet glow...

The Clearing

"...Wishes... This place grants wishes..." Ranma got a dopey expression on her face as she imagined herself ridding herself of her curse, free to become as macho and manly as she wanted. And then snapped out of it as she remembered how futile it was to fight the curse. As well as how wish granting devices worked in general for her. "...Feh, it'd just result in a huge scrap and then something'd break." The redhead said, kicking a nearby rock the size of a medium sized dog and punting it a few feet away with an footprint embedded within its hard surface. "...And stop laughing! You flashed everyone when you transformed!" Ranma barked at Nonon, shaking a fist irately as her expressive pigtail waved to and fro like a cat's tail.

Then the tremors struck and her eyes widened as she stared at the structure in the distance began to light up. Given how dark everything was, she had missed it in her initial sweep but now she caught sight of what looked like a giant horn drill lighting up. It came from underground and pierced the heavens itself, the scale absolutely mindboggling now that the jet black surface reflected enough light to make itself known. The aquasexual could feel the raw power emanating from the thing with her ki sense, feeling her body crackle as waves of foreign energy splashed against her. It was like the hair grew heavy and dense, making it hard to even breathe for that singular moment. Even moving felt slow, like she was submerged in molasses. And then the moment passed and she felt utterly drained. Sweat trickled down her neck as the unpleasant feeling dwindled and she took in a breath of fresh air. It seemed that she had been holding her breath in unconsciously when the presence decided to make itself known. "What the hell was that?!"

Saber

Everything about the grinning man's mannerisms told Saber he was not trustworthy. The way her spoke, the way he acted, none of it made Saber have any faith in him. The Once and Future King would be watching the grinning man, waiting until he made the move she was certain he would to harm someone or perform some act of evil. And so, her response to the question of her real name... Well, she had no real desire to share it. Even Ba'al had some kind of faith that he wouldn't simply attack someone for no reason even though she did not trust him either.

"... I-"

However, she was swiftly cut off. The ground began to shake, and tremble, dishes and silverware all kinds of things rattling away on their tables. The tables themselves were shuddering away as well. Some kind of earthquake?! Saber's head snapped around as she tried to figure out what was going on... and then she saw it. Outside the window, back towards the clearing... there was a gigantic, black spire, beginning to gain some kind of light... There was little hesitation from the King of Knights. Her hand snapped out and almost immediately she snatched Morito, swiftly pulling him against her. He was a child, and she was a Servant and a Knight. It was an easy task to safely carry him.

"I am sorry," she said, simply. With that, Saber erupted forward. Tables rocked and fell to the side as she burst across the ground. She was a Servant, and while her speed was not the highest of any Heroic Spirit, she possessed a rank of B in Agility. The wind whipped past her as she sprinted down the street, her armored feet crashing down onto the ground as she continued. Her hair was carried by the wind... There. There was the hotel. Dust was tossed into the air as she came to a halt, pulling the door open with her free hand and setting the boy down.

"You will be safe here," she said, quickly, "Go inside."

With that, she turned, and broke once more into a run. Dust cast up into the air as she ran, sprinting out of the town... and past the clearing. She could see those who had remained there, briefly... before they were gone. She had passed them by. And there, ahead... it was the immense spire. As she drew close to the thing she began to slow. What was it doing...?
Jakuzure Nonon

"..."

The laughter stopped short when Kaguya suddenly flew up to Nonon's level, taking her rabbit down off her tall hat. She narrowed her eyes in irritation, and just barely didn't blast the immortal down out of the sky right then and there. Instead, she ascended, arms folded as she glared down at the black-haired girl. "No-one is allowed to be on my level."

There was only one person allowed to be higher then she was. Only one.

... And then it was impossible for her not to be distracted by Ranma's accusation. She turned swiftly to the redhead, and, well... the now-a-girl's situation was funny enough to make her crack a smile again. "What, you were looking close enough to see through the lights? I think it's just wishful thinking on your part. So you're a pervert on top of being two halves?"

The smile on Nonon's lips became far more mocking as she regarded the ridiculous girl. Oh, it would surely, surely be fun to mock her entire situation... it was the most ridiculous thing she had seen in a long ti-wait what the hell was that.

There was a tower now. And it was glowing. And the air felt kind of heavy.

"... What."

”They’re Pokémon”, Whitney corrected Felt. She nodded to his sword, which was clearly a rather interesting creature, but made almost more sense than a sword which didn’t have a mind. Why would anyone carry around just a piece of sharpened metal and use it as a weapon? There were so many things which could stop a thing like that cold. The speaking sword with additional powers was definitely more intelligent choice.
”And most of the Pokémon listen their trainer”, she added even though she was not entirely sure about what Felt wanted to hear. The word control sounded kind of wrong, a bit like she took away their own will, which wasn’t the case. And saying that most of the Pokémon listen their trainers made training Pokémon sound really easy. “Making your Pokémon listen to you is not the most challenging part of my profession. What is important in terms of battling is training your Pokémon to be strong and seeing their potential and how to bring it out”, she said in the end.
She wasn’t sure if she should still add something. It was sort of frustrating to think about her every word so much. Whitney wanted to be at home where people seemed to adore her no matter what she said.
“And my Pokémon don’t seem to be hurt, thank you. Bibarel lost one PP but I guess that… thing doesn’t heal it, and it’s not a big deal anyway”, Whitney said and tried her best to hide her amazement. She guessed that making odd-looking healing items out of nothing was a norm for him and didn’t want to look like an idiot. Whitney didn’t come to think that it was likely a bit too late, considering her earlier behaviour. Moreover, she really failed to look calm. Whitney rarely attempted to hide her feelings. Her voice stumbled a bit and her eyes resembled the ones of a Jigglypuff by their size. After a too long pause she added that it might be useful later. She had even forgotten that the alchemist boy might not know that PPs, Power Points, told how many times a move could be used.

Sazh’s explanation about viewer caused a pretty normal reaction in her. “Is this viewer a Giratina who is controlling a Jirachi?” she shouted out as her initial reaction. This really seemed like a work of the distortion Pokémon who was controlling Jirachi the wish maker. The girl didn’t have time to notice that she had failed to act adequately before Sazh mentioned dying, when she got something else to think about.
“I don’t want to die!” she shouted and started to weep. Well, it had been a while since the last time. She couldn’t care less about a neat looking hotel, Goldenrod City was all she wished for.

Whitney couldn’t feel ki, but it was easy to see that the horn drill was terrifying. The girl was too frightened to even shout, she just stared and trembled in fear as her tears dropped to the ground, one by one. Her Girafarig could feel the power it radiated, as she was a psychic type. She came out of her Poké ball and tried to stand up to protect her trainer for her trainer. The power was just too enormous. She couldn’t do anything but pray that nothing would happen.

And then it was over as soon as it had started. Whitney started to weep audibly again, like a CD had just been put to a pause and play was pressed again. Girafarig could again stand and move properly. It seemed that her prayer was answered. Nothing bad had happened.

Ba'al was a bit put off that the Joker had ignored his question as to his identity, given that he knew both of theirs. But in the end it didn't matter too much, since he knew that any name given would just be an alias of some kind. Ba'al knew who he really was, and that was what really mattered. He was definitely not going to lose these challenges to some insane psychopath.

Before he could go on though the building shook, glasses and chinaware rattling, like it was an earthquake back on Earth. He focused more on making sure he wasn't hit by some falling object and keeping his balance, while Saber leapt into action, holding on to the boy Morito and racing out with him in a feat of agility and swiftness. The sight of it made Ba'al wish that they were back in his world. Saber, Mokou, there were so many potential hosts here that he would never have the pleasure of inhabiting. With their skills and abilities, he could be great, and with them in his army, he would be unstoppable. But sadly it was not to be.

The trembling subsided, and Ba'al straightened his suit as he looked around. "Well, that was something," he commented. "I'll be right back then.' He stepped outside then, looking around, and it was easy for his gaze to light on the illuminated spire that cut into the heavens above, now bathed in dim violet. "Well, that is impressive," he commented to no one in particular. It certainly looked like a feat of engineering.

He stepped back into the bar and glanced over to Joker. "If you wish to find other challengers such as myself, I suggest you come with me," he said, before departing for the hotel that he had so recently been in.

Ba'al held in an internal sigh as he walked calmly, while the Joker did some sort of prancing along as they headed back towards the hotel. "An interesting group, from many differing worlds, each with their own abilities and skills. It will be an interesting competition, and hopefully at least one challenger will be up to the task of completing all the trials set before them." Naturally, he hoped it was himself, and would endeavor to make sure it was himself, but he couldn't be too careful. And he wasn't about to tip his full hand to a homicidal psychopath as it was.

“Not much info I can think of, besides what’s already been said.” Vash answered Connor. “All we know is there will be 21 Trials, each following some sort of theme, I believe, and that we need to get through them all in order to have our…” Vash trailed off as he was distracted by the shaking beneath his feet, freezing in place for a moment before grabbing onto a nearby wall as the minor earthquake continued. “What in the world…” he mumbled. Thankfully, the quake wasn’t too severe and, quickly glancing around the room, it was clear no one was hurt or anything.

After that, he couldn’t help but let his eyes drift towards the open window, watching the large spire suddenly begin to glow. “Well… that’s interesting.” Vash commented. “Say, what's that thing all about?” he asked the lizard. "I mean, what's it do?"
