Poppy Flanagan

When classes were finished Poppy followed along with the other students to power training. She was pushed along in the flow, unable to see where they were going do to her height. Finally it opened up into a spacious, reinforced room. Never before had seen something like this. A number of chairs were set up before a stage in the center. Hopefully I can find somebody I know... It was already wracking enough not knowing what was going to happen. Poppy wasn't sure if she would be able to handle it on her own. Standing on her tippy toes she frantically scanned the crowd for a familiar face.

The first person she caught sight of was Amanda. She started off then stopped again. There has to be somebody other than her. Well there was Nikki, but it didn't offset her dislike enough. Where's Red or Theresa? Ethan would also do. That was rather slim picking. Then she caught sight of her roommate along with an woman in a wheelchair. This time she made her way over without any second thoughts.

In an effort to make sure she didn't lose sight of them she picked up the pace. When she arrived she took a moment to catch her breath and calm herself down. "Hey Theresa... mind if I join you." Her voice faltered a little. "I'm so nervous..." She looked towards the stage and then back. The outfit Adam was show casing didn't make her feel any better. Sure it looked like good protection, it was the fact that they needed to wear them. Getting tossed around, shot at, whatever those were meant to handle didn't seem like very much fun to her.

Vespera Spindel

This years courses were much harder than in years past. Not that she wasn't up the the challenge. After it was her choice to split pursue two different masters of science. One in anatomy, the other in physiology. Had she just choose one she could nearly had a doctorate. But it was equally important to study the mind as the body. That and she wasn't sure if sh wanted to take her education that far in any one department. As far as was concerned the difference would be negligible unless one was seeking employment. Considering that she wasn't there was no need for a fancy title. She could learn more on her own and be as well off, or perhaps better. Still there were many advantage to learning at the academy. Once she got to that point she could decide where she wanted to go from there.

Vespera showed up for power training already wearing her suit. It had been long since customized to her liking. It was jet black and was lacking the standard Kevlar pads. Instead it was covered small ceramic disks that overlapped like scales. Hidden beneath them on her elbows, knees, sides, finger and toe tips were small openings to accommodate her transformation. Parts of the material were designed to stretch as her limbs lengthened, and her body increased in size. Thanks to it's design the platelets would cover her almost entirely at all times without hindering mobility.

She stayed towards the outskirts of the crowd and unlike most students wasn't looking for anyone. There wasn't really anyone Vespera considered a friend, and if there was she still probably wouldn't care to seek them out. Get on with it already. The first day of power training was the most jumbled as the new students were just getting used to things. Hardly anyone was even dressed let alone ready to begin. Her senses were sifting through her surroundings for anything or anyone of interest while she waited. This was her time to observe, make note of others weaknesses.

Despite the dominant way she carried herself, Vespera knew that nobody in this room was invincible. Herself included. A normal person with the right resources and know how could take any one of them down, or even all of them. However unlikely that was, she as more than human could certainly find a way to dispatch anyone who stood against her. Just a matter of the right information in the right hands.

Karlie Davis

Most every subject was boring, Karlie chatted, slept, doodled, anything but paying attention. If homework was ever assigned she had a few outfits that she could use to make short work of it. The day drug on until finally the fun part arrived. Not a moment after the bell rung Karlie bolted from her seat and went straight to her locker. From it grabbed her suit and a duffle bag of clothes and accessories. Her suit was unlike any of the others. Since her power stemmed from her attire it was more of an undersuit. It was skin colored and make of a comfortable ablative material. In combination with a portable curtain there was no chance of anyone seeing anything they shouldn't. Today she decided to start off wearing a red race car driver jumpsuit complete with a helmet.

Then she took off at full throttle to the training room. She pulled up next to Amanda who had already found a new boy toy. Even with all the other conversations going on in the room she was easy to find. A close competition between her and Sylvia, whom she guessed would show her self soon enough. Audibly if not visually.

The only part of the conversation Karlie made out was something about meeting her butt buddy. That could only be the guy with his arm draped over her. Nikki was there too, and she wasn't prepared for the crude introduction. Karlie stood there a few moments longer without doing anything, she wanted to make sure she was seen before she made her entrance. Karlie took off her helmet and circled her head in an overly dramatized fashion. The way one might expect an attractive woman in a commercial to whip her hair. Then she relaxed her posture, walked up casually and sighed. "You know. I wish I actually had some sponsors... I could go for drink right now to loosen up." She put her hand on Amanda's other shoulder prominently displaying a Bud Light patch on her arm.

When Karlie lowered it she was grinning like an idiot. "Hey Manda, Nikki. Class was sooo boooorrring..." She trailed off then started up again. "So who's the stud you got there?" She leaned over for a moment to get closer look at him. He was pretty good looking, but she herself could never get with somebody so quickly. Even then it's better to be friends first, because once you break up you can (sometimes) go back. But if you were never anything before, what happens then? In any case she was still going to be supportive.

Annabella Ravencroft
Annabella woke up from her trance like mood, meditating in the middle of her room with books all around her in a circle formation. Her sleeves up above her elbow on her long sleeved shirt. She looked at the time and looked down calm, then suddenly looking back and freaking out "Fuck, fuck, fuck..." She stood up and tripped over the books, putting on pants and fixing her hair, letting it down to its shoulder length brunette hair, she quickly put on her glasses and looked around shuffling for her ring, finding it on her desk near her bed she looked up and saw the signs on the wall, sighing "I must not remember, I must not remember, I must not..." turning she cracked her knuckles and then stood quiet for a second, her body becoming a black hulking humanoid form, opening her white glowing eyes with no irises. Everything around her was in a darker shade and she let out a breath that came out in a distorted voice, moving to the darker corner of the room she suddenly was sucked down into the floor, turning into a moving shadow, she traveled under the door into the hall way, jumping from shadow to shadow and saying hi to fellow teachers.

Rushing to her destination she retained her semi physical dark form and began slowing down walking or rather "floating" as it would appear to the others around her, she traveled at a pace faster then speed walking but not quite jogging. She went down the corridor, looking at her watch and silently swearing, she jumped down into the shadows again this time simply teleporting from shadow to shadow with in the small area and then she reached her destination, jumping up onto the wall and retaining her physical body she stood on the wall side ways looking down on the students and then her fellow teachers, walking down calmly, she disappeared and used the shadow of Adam Blackmore to get around and appeared behind him, switching off her powers quietly at first "Sorry Adam for being late, I was having the problem again" she fixed her hair and took her glasses off, her scar showing more prominently "Hope I'm not to late on missing the party though, though I do wonder why you asked me to come here today, I usually teach psychology, while my power is I guess unique in a way, I wouldn't think that I fit the whole "Power Trainer" teacher. But regardless that does not excuse my tardiness so I apologize again" she stepped back and made a curtsy bow of sorts. Then walked over to the teachers and apologized once again for her being late, it was more then embarrassing but she was known as a more "interesting" individual because of her brain she was a liability to say the least.

She looked at the other teachers slightly and sighed internally, to many of the new students, she looked like a simply human, which to be frank wasn't all that bad. She rarely showcased her powers nor were many people able to pay attention to her when she stood around in that form. But as a teacher she seemed to be a lot more...mediocre looking out of the other four, it made her feel unparalleled to the others at times, but hey, things will be how they are. Going over to the desk quickly she picked up a clipboard and then pulled a pen from her pocket, pulling the hair tie off her wrist she put her hair up in a sloppy bun and held the board at her waist waiting for the students to finish. She looked at them all and tapped her pen against her thigh, humming softly to herself, hopefully she would be able to teach psychology to a bigger group this year, it was really her time to get a lot of the kids to open up, even if it was a tiny bit. With that being said she stood waiting for the class to start rolling and learn something new.

Stephen Avarian

Stephen was leaning on a wall in the back observing everyone's heat signatures. The problem was being able to identify people. Some people it was easier because of shape and size. Others were too generic to be able to tell, or there were just more than one with the same odd build. In any case Stephen had already changed into his suit, he just wanted this over with. If they weren't beating the shit out of each other this would just bore him. Yeah it would be nice to get to know how others work, but honestly his power didn't really play well with others, that was a fact. His armor though had been customized like most of the other returning students. His was a short sleeved suit and he wore fingerless gloves. All of his clothing was lined with tiny metal plates to make it even harder for people to touch him without burning themselves. In hand to hand normally Stephen had the upper hand, but anything else and he wasn't the best, though since his power also distorted vision for normal sight it drew people in to close range combat just the way he liked it.

For a moment he wondered who he'd get stuck with. The newer students didn't hate him yet so that might be easier, but that meant being put with amateurs which he couldn't stand. Anyone that was returning hated him for the most part, well at least to his knowledge all the returning students didn't care for him. This was alright, he earned that from them last year, but he hoped he might be able to change that this year, but if not that would be fine too.

Kristen Schwally

"Miss Kristen, we're thirty minutes out." A strong voice came from behind young Kristen. She had been leaning on the railing of her fathers yacht in her bikini just enjoying the fresh air and the beautiful view. She looked over her shoulder and smiled. "Thank you Ron. Sorry you had to come and pick me up just for this, the photo shoot went an extra day so I missed flying out to go with everyone else." She said apologetically. Ron was one of her fathers closest friends and also the captain of her fathers yacht. He smiled kindly at Kristen. "It's not a problem at all dear. Though I must admit, I'm a bit surprised you chose to accept the invitation." Kristen giggled and turned around and leaned back on the railing, her hair which was braided down her back began to flow in the wind. "I just wanted to try something new. I mean I'll still get to do my career, it will just be something a little more stable in my life, and it would be nice to make some more permanent friends." She kept smiling at the thought of meeting new people. Ron nodded. "Understandable. Well if you need another ride you know I'm only a phone call away, and good luck." Ron turned and walked away. "Thanks Ron!" Kristen called out to him, and in response he just waved back as he walked.

Kristen quickly ran up to her personalized room and took off her bikini and threw it on the bed and then ran over to her closet. What would she wear? She wanted to make a good impression...But would something to nice be too flashy? Hm...Okay so that eliminated several dresses, perhaps something a little nicer than not? Or maybe she should just go with some shorts and a t-shirt? No that wasn't nice enough. She crossed her arms defiantly trying to solve the problem, almost as if trying to discover the meaning of life. She marched over to her dresser and got her bra and panties on, then took off her bra and grabbed a strapless one. After that she had finally decided that she was going to go with a strapless dress. It was a white dress, with three butterflies on it. One on the bottom right front, another on her left side, and the third on her right with the wing covering her breast instead of the white. She smiled and put thin white sandals on. She then went over to her mirror and looked at herself. As usual, no make up required, her hair could go with a different style, but since this wasn't a photo shoot it still looked nice the way it was. She swirled her hair and watched it land on her left shoulder and smiled. No need to be nervous. She knew she looked beautiful, so that wasn't an issue, she was a very friendly person so no worries there, so then why was she nervous somewhat? Oh yeah. She giggled at herself. She had no ability to fight, but it was her so what was the chances that would be needed?

After shed' gotten to the dock she'd twirled down the ramp and laughed in delight as she embraced everything around her. Kristen had called ahead to find out where she needed to head and quickly walked that way. Some of her fathers men were already taking her luggage up to her room as she did so, within the hour her fathers yacht would already be gone. As she walked up to the school she loved the view, though so far her favorite thing was the beach. Once she was on the grounds though she definitely appreciated the architecture of the school. Finally she reached her destination. She could hear inside the room, obviously she was late. Some guy was mentioning something that everyone had to wear. If it was stylish then sure, but if it didn't look cute good luck buddy. She slipped into the room hoping no one would notice her and just kind slid along the wall and stood there really hoping no one would make a huge deal that she'd come in late after the speech was over. He couldn't be serious though! After all the effort she put into picking this outfit he wants her to toss it after barely thirty minutes!? Kristen would have to be sure to give this man a piece of her mind later. Of course that would never actually happen because she's too nice...But it's the thought that counts! She was just glad she didn't wear any jewelry today. Well might as well get this over with!

Matthew

This day had been going very well. He hadn't had to hurt anyone, no one had gotten hurt, and he and Amanda had hit it off. "Boyfriend." Matt interjected as to give Nikki a better idea. While Amanda might've been on the fence, he was all about taking the bull by the horns and the signals she'd been putting out said she wouldn't be against it. He had already stopped in the male locker room and changed into his armor. It was looser in the leg area than how it was normally, and it had no sleeves at all. The only part of the armor that hadnt been changed was the armor on his chest. His suit lacked armor on his arms because those changed in the most drastic ways when he manipulated his mass into weapons.

"It's very nice to meed you, Nikki. I hope we're on the same team." Matt said, smiling to the girl genuinely. He didn't want to have to hurt her or fight her or be against her in whatever they were doing today. He didn't want to do that with Amanda either. He didn't want to piss her off in any respect. He had already seen what happened when he dissed her father, what about if he his someone she cared about? She would probably stab him with that fork she had earlier.

Henry

Like Matthew, Henry had also already changed into his armor. His was huge, probably weighing upwards of fifty pounds. His entire body, save for his skin, fingers, and feet, was covered in a thin, but strong mesh that went over his armor. This mesh appeared fairly simple, but was actually incredibly complex and served as an active camouflage that changed with his skin. His armor was covered in various scratches, some of which formed together in art. On the armor that encompassed his palms, he had scratched "Bada Bing" and "Bada Boom" just behind the knuckles on his left and right fists respectively. On his chest he had scratched a skull into the armor piece. The kevlar underneath the armor pieces was black and while. Black background, with white lining areas where his bones would be, creating a skeletal pattern on his body. He saw Annabella walk in, and take a clipboard, and thought she should be training with them, but oh well. He had powers to discover and learn. If she didnt, then good for her, he guessed. He saw Dana and Theresa walk and roll in, and moved over to them. He was tired from a long day's work standing in the sun and directing students here and there on where to go. Power training would be a great outlet for him to release stress and frustration.

He knew Dana and Theresa didn't really like to train like he did. He doubted anyone loved power training as much as he did. He was constantly learning and discovering new aspects of his power. He might be a huge lizard man, which made it harder to get girls, but it was a lot of fun to power train and learn about what exactly he could do. He had been here for over a decade and was still learning. He was easily the tallest in the room, standing nearly a whole head and shoulders higher than anyone else in the area. Even Leon. He wore a serious face, but on the inside he was excited. He always was. He walked over to his friends, and tried to start up a conversation. Being uncreative, he began with the most standard pickup line he could muster up. "So, ladies, come here often?"

Red Winston

Red has rarely been so bored in his life as when he attended class. High school education was far too easy for his knowledge. He thought that attending to high school lessons could wake up some memories, since he hadn't gone to school since he was in elementary grade. That was not the case, though. His knowledge had far surpassed the high school level years ago. He thought that maybe he could talk to Henry, so he can attend college level lessons. Not that they would pose much more difficulty, he just wanted to get over with any educational-related stuff to have more free time. Hopefully, he wouldn't be asked to be a teacher later, he would hate that. With his mind set on finding Henry, Red headed for the training hall to attend power classes.

Many people Red knew or recognised had attended, Henry included. The Valos family was there too, so was Nikki and Amanda, with the new victim (Matt). Poppy also attended class and he spotted Deborah. He wanted to talk to her again, but they have already set the time of their meeting, so there was no rush. Instead, with everyone gathered in a single place, it would probably be a nice chance to observe the others for potential allies.

He listened to Adam's speech, which was rather indifferent to him. Red wasn't a fighter, had an enormous fear of big knives and the only thing he could possibly do was to coach someone in a fight, as long as he knew the abilities of both of the challengers. His ability and probabilty estimations could make the change in a fight and Red knew that. What he lacked in strength, he had in tactics. But, with Adam's remark about customizing the suits they would be given, things could change. He could probably make this piece of fabric a little more useful than it was originally intended to be.

After Adam's speech was over, Red would find the chance to look at what power training others would do, after talking to Henry. He changed into his outfit, which apparently was the standard type, since his powers were not physical or materializing in any way. It would be a nice toy to mess with, though. Then, he was off to find Henry, when another figure caught his attention. The strawberry blonde hair color and the facial features had only one possible match in Red's profile library. She was the daughter of Arthur Schwally! Red had done business with Arthur in the past, not the legal kind. He had also visited his house, where he had met his daughter, along with his other two children. Although the same age, their lifestyle was entirely different. She lived in a carefree world, while he was making an illegal deal with her father just a few rooms away. He kept professional courtesy and didn't interact with her more than by giving a formal greeting to her everytime he saw her. After all, it wouldn't be wise for her to find out that her father had his own shady business and he was taking care of it. He recalled the servants of the house calling her Kristen, since for him she was "Lady Schally". But now, it would be a good idea to talk to her. She had resources that Red would need in the Academy.

He approached the girl, respectfully bowed and said:

"Miss Schally, forgive my sudden appearance. My name is..."

Then he stopped for a second. Something strange was happening to Red. He was having a strange feeling, a feeling he never had before. For Red, it was strange to have feelings at all, so he didn't have a clue what was going on. He noticed that his eyes were looking at her side and not at her and when he did look at her again, his cheeks were burning. It couldn't be her looks, Red didn't care about physical appearance, but he couldn't explain what was the reason for his behavior. Nonetheless, he continued:

"Excuse me. As I was saying, my name is Red Winston. I was an old acquaitance of your father and we have talked in the past, but..." he once again paused "...but you might not remember me. It is nice meeting you, though."

The only thing Red hoped for was that Amanda wouldn't notice the state he was in right now. It would be a pain to handle her.

Victoria LaRousse

Victoria had to stay after class to listen to a teacher talking about her performance dropping last year and that she should try more now. Like she cared about it. She wanted to be a body trainer, not a scientist. The only thing she excelled at was P.E, where she was the best among her female classmates (and probably most of the males), bested only by the ones who actually cheated by using their powers. She tolareted the teacher's gibberish talking and dashed to power training as soon as it was over. Power Training! The paradise! The place where she could develop her abilities and also find the best of the best fighters packed in a single place! He also wanted to see for the promising first years, but most probably not many people could beat Valjean, Sylvia or Henry.

Victoria was so impatient during the speech. The outfit gig has become so plain that she could explain about it herself. Adam never added any useful information to his introductory speech, which made Victoria wonder why couldn't the senior students come later on the first day. As soon as Adam was done with the speech and as she was always doing when Adam was actually done talking at Power Class, she sprung from her chair and yelled:

"Enough with the theories, teach! Fight meeeeee!!"

The first time Victoria did that, Adam was very strict on her, now it has become a daily habit in which Adam would just nod negatively and make a gesture for Victoria to sit down again. Adam understood at some point that Victoria did not disrespect him, but, on the contrary, it was because she had too much respect for his ability that she would daily challenge him. But the first day always made more impression, due to the first years. Last year, someone even asked her if she was the strongest fighter in the Arena, being so confident as to challenge a teacher. Of course, Victoria denied it. She didn't want to claim a title she did not deserve.

After changing into her outfit, she walked around until she found Henry talking to Dana and Theresa. She dashed towards him, jumped on his gigantic back and said, while scratching his head with her fist:

"Heeeeeeeeenry! Fight with me today, s'il vous plait!"

Christopher Fox

Chris felt ashamed. He had to go to class with the elementary grade first years. It was wise to part ways with Vera on the gate of the educational building, he wouldn't bear the shame of her witnessing him attending class with elementary school students. He actually couldn't believe that the Academy didn't have a problem with a 22 old skinny ape being around children. At least the teacher was understanding enough as to not make it harder for him and ask him trivial questions. He patiently tolerated the first part of the day and, after a tiring few hours, went to Power Class.

The place was as good as new, like the first time he visited it. It was here that he developed his abilities, which made him a capable Arena fighter. He felt really embarrased that he was only a shadow of what he used to be. But he knew that the only person with a chance of restoring his powers was Adam. The head instructor almost didn't seem to age at all after all these years, except for the white hair. However, his intimidating composure was the same as ever, the composure of a man who held great power. Chris never crossed arms with Adam and he didn't want to, even more so now, where the insticts of survival he developed, alerted him of how strong this man was. After his speech was over, Chris asked himself if his own oufit would have only one sleeve. He chuckled.

He noticed that Adam was still in the room, so, before going to change, he decided to go talk to him. He had many things to say, after all. He slowly walked over to the instructor and said:

"Excuse me, teacher. I am Chris, I don't know if you remember me. The kid who controls electromagnetic fields. I wanted to apologise to you for the incident I caused in the past. I used everything you taught me back then in the worst possible way. Now, I can't even use my powers properly..." he took the screw out of his pocket and lifted it up, "...that's the maximum I can do."

He paused for a moment and scratched his nose, before saying:

"I know that it might be too rude for me to ask, with everything I have done, but, can you still help me?"

Chris had lowered his head so much that the only thing he could see was his own two feet. He didn't realize that he was weeping a little.

Minutes before the bell was to ring for the end of classes, Aislin noticed something strange. A big, fat bug traveled by her feet, crawling in a dead straight line. Normally (she only knew this from the vast amount of time she stared at everything but the teacher) when a bug was lost in a classroom, it just wandered around. No set pattern, no determination to do anything crazy. But this one was dead-set on something. And it wasn't just that singular bug. There were other critters on the ground, converging in the same direction.

Eyes glued to the ground, she pushed out from her seat and followed behind in little tip-toe steps. Where are you all going? She curiously put her hand up in a wall in front of one beetle, but it merely went around and continued its path. Shaking her head, she kept following the parade until they met their destination: a gym bag. They were all just crawling in, one after the other. Aislin briefly considered the bag might belong to someone, and looked up. The desk's occupant was Asian, dark haired and seemed mild mannered. Feeling out of place, Aislin stood, looked at her, then down at the bag again.

Another crawly thing dropped into its darkness. "Oh, those are yours? I was so confused." Aislin laughed, assuming it was a form of her ability. "That's cool."

The bell rang and Aislin gave a little nod as she turned to leave. She felt a little awkward, wanting to leave that interaction just at that. Besides, the fun part of classes was lined up next. Power Training, something she had been waiting for with a mix of dread and anticipation. She had no idea what to expect. But she was sure she could handle it... Probably.

She sat quietly through Adam's speech, absorbing as much information as she could. He looks intimidating in that suit... The other Power teachers all seemed very interesting, however the lady on the end gave her the creeps. Profiling was a bad habit, but the spiky hair thing was such a bad idea. Her frown didn't help, either.

When Adam lifted up the bodysuit with wind, Aislin felt a rush of adrenaline race through her system. One, that power was cool. Two, the bodysuit looked awesome. She didn't know they were getting their own suits. These had padding and everything, which was perfect because Aislin was such a wuss. Maybe she'd be more comfortable training and sparring with some extra protection.

The moment Adam mentioned everyone had to change into their suits before they could truly begin, Aislin shot out of her seat and booked it to the locker rooms, a quiet "Woooop, woop, woopwopwop..." trailing behind her. Hell yeah she was gonna beat the mad rush to the change rooms. All those other kiddies could ask their questions to the great and powerful teacher. She found her suit, quickly changed, admired how she looked in the mirror, and exited the locker room. On her way out she spotted Dana, a lady with a scarf, and Henry -- Holy shit, Henry looks like a lean, mean machine.

Just as she was walking up to them, Henry was attacked from behind by a very enthusiastic girl. Aislin laughed, waving to Dana. "Hello again, Dana, Professor. How do I look? If they had told me bodysuits were in the deal, I don't think I would have been nearly as worried about the Arena." She gave a little nod to the two ladies she didn't recognize.

Stephen Avarian

Now that Adam's boring speech had finally passed Stephen was free to roam again. He wasn't sure what to do though. He observed all the heat signatures, and then he saw a small burning one that separated from a group of people. Stephen smirked, was this kid that nervous? Or was this just him? Well one way to find out. Stephen slowly walked over to Jaska and stopped in front of him. "Hey kid, gotta ask, are you really that nervous? Normally when people get excited it doesn't flow off of them like this, or perhaps this is how you naturally are?" Stephen pondered out loud for a second. "In any case I'm Stephen." he reached out a hand for a friendly handshake. "If you are nervous don't be, this is the easy part." Stephen gave a reassuring smile for the kid. Admittedly Stephen was never good with younger people, or really people in general most of the time. Though he was hoping to change that along with a long list of other things, and what better way to start than with some random kid right?

Ethan Parker Jr. and Vera Dubnin

Vera went to Adam's class with Ethan as her shadow. Coming out of her previous class, she met him on the way to the power instruction class and made amiable conversation as they walked. Conversation was a loose term for the sort of social conditioning she put him through to teach him what amiable conversation should look like. It wasn't that he didn't like speaking to her, in fact, when they weren't out in public, he was very well-spoken. The thick aura of self-consciousness and discomfort around him was practically palpable, but it was a better than what it had been in the past. It was also good practice for her, too, since it was so tempting to just tap him on the shoulder and make all that anxiety go away. He wouldn't get better if she did that. Not really.

When they got there, they sat through the usual spiel about how the class operated. Vera zoned out, but Ethan, as attentive as ever, absorbed every word. An embarrassed flush fell over his face when Adam brought out the suits. God, he hated his suit. It worked like a charm, of course, but the fabric was so terribly clingy. For "mobility" they said, but Ethan had the distinct feeling he was being lied to.

Nevertheless, he slunk off to the boys' locker room and dutifully put on his suit. It was covered in flexible solar panels on every inch of visible space. Those panels caught sunlight and applied it directly to his skin, increasing his ability to absorb sunlight by nearly three times as fast, but only because the material hugged his body like a glove. There was also a chest plate and concave mounts on his palms that focused the energy when he released it. To him, it felt more like someone had drawn a bit bull's eye on his chest, turning him into a walking target.

Fortunately, he had many strong friends and made his way to the group with Henry, Dana and Theresa. Unfortunately, he still had no idea how to insert himself comfortably into conversation, so in reality, he lingered on the fringe of the group, just close enough to be counted as one of the team, but not a part of the conversation. There, he was quite content to listen and watch while awkwardly pulling at the skin-tight material to let his body breathe.

Vera stayed in the locker room. Her suit was pretty average, but left her hands uncovered since that was how she used her power and made it difficult for her to pick of the emotions of others if they were touching her anywhere but her hands. It revealed the plain curves of her body, but that wasn't why she was hiding. She hated fighting. Absolutely abhorred it. And it was the same issue every year. They put her in a situation where she was expected to defend herself and she got really good at dodging, running and deflecting that way, but she always refused to strike someone. If they cared, someone would come in to get her. If not, she was perfectly fine staying where she was and mediating on her power.

Oliver

Oliver was a natural at going with the flow. The whole day went without a hitch, him being as cool as a cucumber while other new students loss their shit and flipped tables or whatever. He never had much of a thirst for drama, but when it was good, it was good. The fact that most of his day went so smoothly was cause for some minor concern. He didn't want to get bored, which would undoubtably happen if he didn't set some roots and make some friends ASAP. With any luck, his last class of the day would be as exciting as the title suggested.

He got there, found a seat and listened to the teacher go on and on about this and that when about halfway through, some teen model- her name escaped him for the moemnt- walked through the doors of his class looking every bit as delicious in person as her photos. She tried to slip in, but his keen ears picked up everything. He wasn't a fool. He read magazines and stayed in the pop culture loop and she was featured often enough for her appearance to stick in his brain. No doubt they would be speaking soon, but before he indulged himself in that conversation, he changed into his suit. It was comfortable, if not a little snug, sleeveless, but barely weighed anything. Interestingly, though, it came with some fingerless gloves made with some grippy-material that he assumed was to help aid him in climbing.

He made a beeline for Kirsten, accidentally and completely interrupting the guy she was already speaking with.

"Correct me if I'm wrong," He began, giving her an assessing once-over, "But I've seen you before. Yes, on the cover of Teen Vogue, am I right?" A smile curled up his lips the longer he looked at her. "Yesss. You're- Oh, goodness. Your name. You're Kirsty- No, Kirsten. Yes?"

Alex had opened her mouth, as if to answer Lynn's question about where she lived, when suddenly an announcement came on to tell them that breakfast was over and it was time for classes. Alex let out a loud and over exaggerated sigh as she stood up, holding her empty tray and drained cups of coffee. She smiled to Lynn. "Man I really don't want to go to classes, but skipping the first day might not be the smartest idea" and Alex would rather like to avoid disappointing her parents or being kicked out or something. That really wasn't what she wanted to do on her first day of school. But if they stuck her in a math class she might have to take up Lynn's offer to skip and hide in the jungle.

"I guess it's time to go to class. Let's just hope they aren't too boring." Or difficult. She really didn't want to be the dumbest kid in the class as normal. She just had a hard time focusing on what was being taught at the chalkboard. "Maybe we will have some classes together! If that's the case we totally have to sit next to each other! Or pass notes or something!" Alex looked excited again, walking with a bit of pep in her step as she went to put away her dishes and head to class.

And as Alex excepted, classes were incredibly boring. She couldn't help but fall asleep in every single class she had to go to. She was only woken up to the sounds of teachers or students trying to get her attention, or the bell signaling he end of the period. And every time a bell would ring or a teacher would call on her, she would immediately sit up, as if she had been awake the whole time. This went on until the final bell of the day signified that it was time for them to head to the stage for Power Training. Alex could not be more nervous, but still excited. As she walked along she pulled out her phone, happily typing out a message to Lynn to the phone number she had given her. "OMG LYNN ITS POWER TRAINING TIME WE CAN SIT TOGETHER!! :D".

Once she arrived in the assembly hall Alex chose two seats next to each other, near the back of the hall, for her and Lynn. She looked around at the other members of the school with wide and excited eyes. She recognized quite a few of them, all people she had met on her first days of school. She could easily pick out her roommate, Lynn's cyborg roommate, that bitch Vespera and that huge guy Henry. She couldn't help but get really excited, wanting to know what everyone could do. Alex's own power was pretty obvious, or at least parts of it, but some of these kids were total surprises in store.

Of all the adults on stage, the lady with the lab coat and goggles was her favorite, she looked like a cool character, and goggles looked cool on everyone. She wondered what her power was. When Lynn entered Alex excitedly waved her friend over, enthusiastically patting the chair next to her before again facing forward to watch the assembly in front of her. She tried as hard as she could to hide her glow, not wanting to distract the rest of the students, but the excited stars in her eyes were still shining. She turned to Lynn, grinning. She silently mouthed the words "oh my god oh my god oh my god!"

When the violent wind filled the room Alex couldn't help but laugh with glee, what a fun power. Her already bed ridden hair was suddenly a lot messier and a lot brighter. Her hair would be pretty fun at a rave. She looked extremely excited to see the suits, which were supposedly able to work with their power in some way. And when it was mentioned they were allowed to alter their suits in anyway they saw fit. She was going to bedazzle hers. They were then turned free to change into their suits. When dismissed Alex quickly stood up, grabbing Lynn by her wrist and dragging her towards the changing rooms. "Come on Lynn! Faster we change faster we start!"

Keeping to her word, Alex changed as quickly as possible. She then waited outside the changing rooms for Lynn, itching to know what her suit would be able to do for her powers. The suit was rather basic, covering right above her calves to her forearms and was skintight. Not that Alex minded. The entire suit seemed to be reflective, and she would soon find out it would allow the glow of her skin to penetrate the fabric. She just hoped she and Lynn would be on each other's teams for this weird power testing thing.

:: Saila Eman-Tsal ::

The first day at the Academy was fairly uneventful, all things considered. Saila, like most of the other students, had arrived by boat the other day at around three in the afternoon. Most of the trip had been spent reading alone, and interactions with the other students had been kept at a minimum for the most part. While the ship wasn't extraordinarily huge, it was still rather large, and it had been fairly easy to find a relatively quiet spot to occupy. The other occupants appeared to be mostly clustered on the front outer decks, likely in order to get fresh air and a better view of the horizon. They were greeted by the staff upon arrival, followed by a quick introductory speech by the establishment's headmaster. The rules appeared to be quite straightforward overall (no drinking, smoking or stealing), but didn't really seem to personally apply, generally speaking. The only one which was relevant was the mention of a strict curfew, which was mildly annoying, to say the least. Spending eight hours or more silently confined to a single room every day wasn't exactly anyone's idea of fun. Perhaps there was a way to get some sort of special exemption for people with certain powers? If not, worse come to worse, the time could always be spent reading or performing other silent activities. Saila didn't really tend to need much light to be able to see clearly, so as long as there was a window, it should be fine.

The speech was followed by a ceremonial welcoming feast which, much like the enforced curfew, didn't seem particularly appealing. Saila had already eaten in the past few days, and didn't really feel any need to do so again anytime soon. Not to mention that, either as a result of mental or physiological powers, eating and other usually enjoyable activities consistently failed to provide any pleasure. Sure, Saila could identify the chemical composition of food through taste just like any other humans, perhaps even better, but it never provided any positive or negative connotation. It just was. Instead, Saila elected to go walk around and explore the Academy. Socializing with other students could wait, and it was always good to familiarize oneself with the local school environment. The young adult didn't really stray too far beyond the outer walls into jungle beyond, leaving that activity for a later time, wandering the halls of the various buildings instead. Most of the time was spent going through the school's library, picking up a few books to read during the night. A few on the various local jungle plants seemed appropriate, given the island's environment. Finally, it was time to head for the administration building and discover who the dorm room would be shared with. Saila was probably one of the first ones to arrive, while the others were still eating.

Apparently, no roommates for tonight. According to the staff, this was most likely a temporary condition, and another student would probably be assigned shortly. No matter, at least there would be freedom to read with the lights on this time. Before long, the other students began to pour in, and everyone began to get settled for the night. Saila's baggage, which was essentially reduced to a single solitary bag, was already waiting on the bed. Unpacking didn't take particularly long, experience providing speed and efficiency. This wasn't the first time the young meta-human had to relocate to a new residence, and it would certainly not be the last. All clothing was rolled up compactly to make maximum use of the limited storage space. Once done, Saila settled on the bed and began scanning through one of the books borrowed from the library.

The next day went on quite quickly, almost like a blur. Again skipping the cafeteria for breakfast, Saila instead went for a quick jog before heading to class. Classes seemed fairly ordinary, which was a bit disappointing, but overall the content wasn't too unappealing. The teachers here appeared much more interesting than those hired at the cruddy public schools the foster system would send the kids to, and actually seemed to care about the subject they were discussing, which was a pleasant surprise in and of itself. Before long, it was time for the power training. Saila wasn't exactly sure how they intended to train a "not getting tired" power, but was sure they would come up with something. Or maybe they would focus on the whole "can give telepaths a massive headache" thing. Either way, the mutant was eager to see what they would come up with. Several of the other students already appeared to be there upon arrival, scattered throughout the room in small groups waiting for it to begin. Saila simply settled for sitting aside from everyone else, near the corner closest to the entrance to the room. More and more students began to pour in, before things finally settled down and the instructors arrived. They gave a brief speech and explained the safety precautions and armoured suits, before letting the class go to get changed. Saila quickly put on what appeared to be a fairly standard dark grey protective suit, before heading back to the room and settling into another isolated spot.

Adam Leo Blackmore.

Since Adam could understand powers on a more intuitive level, he was not surprised when Annabelle appeared behind him. "It is fine, Ms. Ravencroft." He adjusted his glasses as he stared down at the clipboard. "You are just on time." He half-smiled, speaking to her warmly. Adam was a known name around the staff, and he was well versed in regards to his other staff members. He knew a little bit about Annabelle's problem, and he respected them. That aside, he was glad to have her here. There was a fourth power instructor, but she couldn't come, and he had to choose the next best person - Ravencroft. He cleared his throat, "And to answer you, my fourth assistant was absent, so the board choose you to be a temporary instructor." Adam smiled again, coughing, putting a fist to his lips. "In any case, I am glad to have you here-"

Adam was surprised when a student started shouting. He nearly dropped his clipboard. He gave the source the evil eye. Victoria LaRousse... One of the older students that fancies herself as an underdog. These antics weren't unexpected. She was always challenging people to the arena and other tomfoolery. He was one of those she wanted to fight. Adam facepalmed, shaking his head to add onto it. While Victoria has plenty of potential, he refuses to fight the students -He wasn't being arrogant here, but he has so much experience over 90% of the students that it would be unfair. He threw his head back, staring directly at Victoria, tipping his glasses. "LaRousse. Sit down." That was normally enough to silence her. She already went onto harassing Henry.

The next person to speak to him was somebody whom he never seen in years, a student. Christopher Fox. Easily one of the finest students Adam ever taught. It was a shame the incident ruined him - In fact, Ad am thought he had long died. If there wasn't Red tape in the way, Adam sure would have brought him back under his wing. "Christopher Fox..." He said, "I remember you clearly, one of my finest students..." He spoke proudly. He nodded his head. Chris pulled out a screw, and told him that was the maximum he can lift now. Strange. Before Christopher was capable of much, much more, and demonstrated it. Perhaps Chris was incredibly out of practice? Adam nodded his head again. "You've gone back to square one? But, I will do all I can to get you back to full strength." If only Chris demonstrated, Adam could gauge what he was capable of. "The same goes for the rest of you."

Theresa Sindel Obott, & Dana Lucille Alcott.

Suddenly, they were popular again.

Poppy walked up, and started speaking about how she's so nervous. Heh, it brought back memories. Poppy was acting the same way Theresa did during her first power training. Back then, she was a young boy. A power that he didn't understand, and thought was illegal, training with people who have infinitely flashier and more powerful abilities? That prospect was absolutely terrifying. But the difference between herself and Poppy was that she didn't have a helping hand. Theresa was going to help the little girl - So was Dana. "Sure..." She said, with a warm smile on her face. "I know you can probably see this bit of advice coming from a mile away; but don't be nervous. It's not as bad as you think it'll be." Tess put a hand on her chest.

Dana saw Poppy before on the first night, but they've never got the chance to introduce themselves to each other. She turned around and tried to get a good look at Poppy - Theresa turned her wheelchair around to face Poppy. She smiled, and tried to speak kindly, "Yeah, you barely have to participate in it... Adam said something about showing as much of your power as you're comfortable with." Dana took a guess when she said that was probably what got Poppy nervous. "It's what me and Tess have to do." It was true, Dana was rather unsure of how people might react to their powers - Theresa was more at risk here. Then again, she remembered she and Poppy haven't been introduced. "I'm Dana Alcott. A full student here for seven years. I know my way around, you could say."

Before long, Henry walked up in his fully customized suit. It was quite formidable, just like it's wearer. The things he scratched into it was rather amusing. Both Dana and Theresa knew that Henry fought in the arena plenty of times. They know, despite avoiding fighting in the arena like the plague, they watched. Their own suits weren't as battle scarred as his, but they did look hella cool (Theresa personalized her suit a little bit).

Theresa gave Henry a feigned disgusted look, throwing up a hand, "Look, Henry, we know that everyone has their own little soul mate out there...." She smirked slyly, "... But you ain't going to find her with lines like that." She giggled a put, putting a hand to her lips.

What totally ruined the scene was this crazy woman (Who was previous shouting at Adam) jumped onto Henry's back, demanding that he fights her. That was certainly unexpected, but not too surprising. Theresa faked being surprised/stressed, she put up a hand, and spoke to Victoria, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, calm your tatas." Because this chick really needed to calm her tits. They might smack someone in the face, or explode!

Dana detached herself from the scene with Victoria and Henry, and focused on Aislin, the girl that she had met a few hours ago. Dana turned herself to Aislin, and smiled. "That is a nice suit..." She complimented Aislin. "... But not as good as mine." She said, playfully. She wasn't trying to sound arrogant, but she was playing around. Actually, since everyone was putting their suits on, she figured that she should get her suit on. Since it will be hard as hell to put on, and it's hard to put on without a friend. "Hey, Tess," She nudged her friend's shirt, "Can we go put on our suits? I'll need a little bit of help with mine..."

"Oh, yeah, sure." Theresa's attention was snapped right back to Dana. She winked and waved goodbye to everyone suggestively, "See ya' later ladies..." Before walking Dana into the locker room.

A little while later (Putting on Dana's suit was definitely a challenge) the two walked out of the room, fully suited.

Dana's suit was easily one of the most unique suits out of everyone here. Because it was less of a suit, and more like a cloak. Two massive, obscuring, hoods/capes which was large enough to conceal Dana's body and more. Topped off by a hood. It even had a helmet (Similar to a motorcycle helmet in shape and design) underneath the hood, which hid her entire head, but it had two tinted openings in order for her to see. It absolutely covered her from head to toe. There were some discrete openings on her back and her sides. Other than that, it was looser and more elastic than the other suits, to accommodate her transformations (It was hard designing it since nobody really knows what her alternate form looks like). This was all merely because she needed to be out of sight to use her power. Since she doesn't need to activate her power right now, the hood was down, and the helmet was in her lap. People might notice that she is rolling around in a different wheelchair as well. A more armored and sturdy wheelchair, painted black like it was black ops. It was electronic.

My god, I feel like such a super villain!

Theresa's suit was a Byzantium purple color, not too different from the other suits in appearance. But, instead of the suit ending at her neck, it went up to her lower face. It had a  gas mask integrated with the design, so she didn't have to worry about her drug contaminating the air. The suit was designed to keep her liquids from leaving her body, so it was pretty water resistant. It didn't cover for tears however. The suit wasn't any different from the other suits. It had armor, and other materials.

Theresa pushed Dana back into the scene, but at the corner of her eye, she saw Ethan hanging over the group like the awkward loner he is. Hmph. He isn't going to make friends that way, now is he? "I seeeeeee you, Boyscout." Theresa said to him in a teasing tone - It was hard to make out her tone because of the gas mask. "C'mon in, we aren't going to bite..." Then her gaze turned to Henry, grinning like a fool, "... Well, we aren't going to bite, Henry here? A solid probably." She winked at Ethan.

Dana turned back to Aislin, calmly, and playfully, saying, "... See?" She pulled the cape open for Aislin to see it better. She smiled, "I hope we get on the same team today. I personally want to be paired with Tess - Oh, you haven't met Theresa have you?" She pulled onto Theresa's shirt again

"Heeeeey..." Theresa said, looking at Aislin. Damn, she was good looking, had curves too. She realized that she was staring, when she introduced herself. "Like she said, I'm Theresa... Hands down the most fun person here." Theresa chuckled, "Personally, I'd rather chill on the island than be here. Regeneration isn't something I like training...." She mused.

Amanda Daisy Blackmore, & Nikki Biyung.

It seems like Matt was a lot more sensible than Nikki's beloved cousin. "Yeah, I get it." Which was a relief since Nikki would go crazy if there was a male version of Amanda running around. Opposites do attract. "Nice to meet you too, Matt." She returned, quietly but politely. She stared around the room, and spotted some people she didn't like (Lynn and Vespera in particular). She definitely didn't want to get paired with these people. "I really don't want to be paired with strangers on my first day...." She sunk down into her chair, looking over her shoulder. "... I don't play well with others, if you know what I mean."

"Haaa..." Amanda let Matt and Nikki talk before she stepped in to say something. Personally, she was fine with competing against her potential boyfriend. It was her cousin that she was worried about. "You know you want me want me, and I don't want no weaklings!" Amanda loudly announced. "If we fight against each other, I expect you to win. Or you can kiss all this..." Amanda did a gesture over her figure, accentuating her curves, shaking her hips. "... Goodbye. And I don't mean literally!" She stuck out her tongue at Matt.

Karlie walked up, and both girls turned their attention toward her.

Amanda put a hand on her hip, "Ooooh, girlfriend!" She did the most annoying, forced, girly-teenager voice she could. Just because. "This is Matthew, he's taken. I'm willing to throw tables over for him already!" Amanda put her fist up triumphantly.

This was the girl that set that French girl off. Now that Nikki started paying attention to her surroundings, she saw Victoria jump on the lizardman's back. Yup, that girl was pretty yonkers. In fact... "Hey, Karlie..." Nikki stood up, slinging the gym bag full of insects over her shoulder. "Guys, I'll be right back. I have to put my suit on... Whatever it looks like." I just pray it doesn't look like shit. She wandered into the locker room and looked around for the locker that had her name on it. It took a little while, but- Bingo. She opened up her locker, and pulled out a dark-green suit, it had a note on it saying (Secret compartments underneath the armor to store arthropods in). Hm... This suit gives her some ideas, and she's allowed to personalize it too? She's going to have a ball when she got done with training. Perhaps give it a mask? Actually, she could do without the kevlar. Silk from a black widow spider had more tensile strength than kevlar. That makes it superior.

Oh well, for now, she'll have to deal with the shitty kevlar. She took off her clothes until she had on nothing but underwear and slipped the suit on. Hmm... Yup, she was uncomfortable in this. It made her feel like a slutty comic heroine. It wasn't any better since she didn't have much to show. No curves. No boobs. No butt. While there were plenty of people who had that. This suit would be a little better if she had a spider mask to go with it. At least she could hide the shame. For now, she'll have to use this. Nikki walked outside the locker room, and almost immediately

"Lookin' good!" Amanda said to Nikki, having her own suit on. Amanda's suit was a dark - cobalt blue - color. It had metal plates on it, instead of regular armor. It had spiked knuckles, and armor on her fingers and palms. In fact, Amanda had activated her metal manipulation form. Her jet-black flowing hair turned into metal - Specifically silver. Much of her body was coated in various metals. Her hands were coated in a shiny steel, it appeared like the metal was embedded in her hands. Amanda's eyes turned into platinum as bronze coated the right side of her face. Several of Amanda's other body parts were coated as well. Her right shoulder was coated in titanium, her breasts were coated with Osmium, feet were coated in gold, and so on.

"When did you put your suit on?" Nikki asked.

"I did it off-screen!" Amanda said with a giggle. "Fourth wall powers, bitch."

"I hate these suits. I feel like everyone's going to be ogling me the whole time..." Nikki mused.

"Ogling what?" Amanda teased, "You ain't got no curves, beloved cousin." She grabbed Nikki by the wrist, "C'mon, let's show Karlie and Matt!" She dragged her cousin back to their friends. She let go of Nikki, and did a hip walk. "What do you think boys? The Metal Witch is smokin', right?"

Nikki put down the gym bag and crossed her arms.

Jake, & Gabe Valos & Sylvia Bertoose.

Meanwhile, the Valos were suiting up in their outfits.

Jake got a standard suit, since a suit wasn't going to enhance what he already had, but it was light-grey. Gabe's blood-red suit wasn't standard, it left the palms of her hands exposed, and the suit was heat-resistant - Just so she can go ham with lasers. Sylvia's suit was a white color, and had speakers hidden throughout the suit that she could draw sound from. These speakers all had armored wires under the fabrics connecting them to a singular iPod that Sylvia has.

Jake got done first, and was standing outside waiting for his two sisters to get finished. When they walked out, Jaska was no where to be seen. Perhaps he was having trouble putting on his suit? Maybe I should go in... Jake thought to himself.

His process was interrupted when he was poked with an elbow. Gabe asked, "Hey, Jakey, that gal look familiar?" She pointed at Kristen.

Yeah, he did. That was Kristen, a supermodel they were introduced to when they went to one of their Dad's parties. She was quite the dynamite girl, though a little clingy and had self-esteem problems. "Yeah, that's the Supermodel Superstar." SS. That was Jake's nickname for her.

"Let's go chat her up!" Gabe said walking over towards Kristen.

Sylvia skipped behind Gabe, sarcastically saying, "Oooooh, I've never met someone who was a superstar and a supermodel."

"Wait! I have to wait for Jask..." Jake trailed off. Honestly, he wondered if he should really wait for him. Jaska has very good tracking and sense of direction. They got separated plenty of times and he found them like it was nothing. Besides, Little Dragon would probably scare the piss out of Kristen.

Kristen had a little group around her already. Jake's room mate Red stood out, then there was this half-asian loser that nobody had seen before. Ugh, he probably just wants her autograph or try to get a date.

Which made Oliver trash in her eyes. "Step aside, Jake Long." Gabe said to Oliver as she pushed him aside with one hand. Utterly disregarding him. She crossed her arms and looked directly at Kristen, smirking slightly, "Well, well, well, ain't this a surprise." She said, "First we find Syl here, now you? What other long lost mysteries will this class reveal to us." Gabe's tone was amused and playful.

"Yo, Schwally." Jake waved at her. "It's been a long time, now has it?" He smiled. Though, he briefly turned his attention to Red. It didn't take a genius to tell they knew each other. "I get the impression you two know each other? Small world, huh?"

"Ooooh, I've seen you before..." Sylvia giggled, she saw this girl on the cover of magazines before, she was quite the attractive one. It wasn't too much of a surprise that Gabe and Jake knew the girl. They were loaded. They probably met movie stars, or sports legends on a daily basis! Sylvia looked at Kristen, and casually teased, "How does it feel to help so many lonely boys with their 'budding interests'?" She giggled quietly, hoping that her little joke would fly over Kristen's head - Because let's be honest, that'd make it funnier! Of course, none of that shit mattered to Sylvia. Rich or not, this girl was probably just like everyone else here - Deserving of no special treatment because of what they were before they got on the boat.

Jaska Din Valos.

Good, they left. Jaska got from behind the wall he was hiding behind. He... He didn't like Sylvia. So he was going to spend this time by himself. Just... To think about things. He had his suit on, specially made for him. It fit around his bestial features, and had openings for his claws, tail, and wings. It was a bright and pronounced gold color. Almost matching his eyes. Jaska walked his way over to the chairs and sat down. Kicking his legs back and forth... Getting really bored. Hm? Someone walked up to him and started talking to him. It's a guy, had to be way older than him (Like everyone else in here, really, are there any Meta-kids?). He didn't pay too much to what he looked like, more of what he was saying. Him, nervous? Maybe... What he didn't want to talk about was his alternate form. That's what scares him. He didn't have the unshakable confidence of Gabe, or the level headedness of Jake, he was just... a kid, really. No real skills other than being a budding predator. In fact, he barely understands the social norms.

One thing he did understand was what Jake said. Don't talk about it, and they won't ask. "Um, no, I'm fine." He said, nodding his head. Speaking of his head, what Stephen said about 'flow off of them like this'. He had no clue that Stephen was referring to his body heat (Thus, the fact that Stephen can see heat followed). "What? What flows of people...?" He asked, confused. When Stephen introduced himself, Jaska hesitantly followed, "... I'm Jaska."

It came clear that Jaska wasn't too good with talking to men.

Deborah Lillian Termellio, & Shannon Jacqueline Balore.

Victoria being... Victoria wasn't too interesting (Desires to be regarded as a warrior, but can't keep up). Shouting at Adam only told her even more of the obvious. She just shrugged. More people were walking in by the second. Including Ms. Ravencroft (Suffering the effects of PTSD), Vespera (Attempting to assess the weaknesses of the other students, does not want to be bothered), and Kristin (Has a compulsive desire to please everyone. Somewhat nervous). There was so many people in here, that it was hard to assess all of them - that, or they didn't have useful information attached to them. Deborah shrugged again, she was wondering if she should just head into the  and put on that uncomfortable suit. That was until Christoper Fox, the man she was eavesdropping on earlier today, walked up and spoke to Adam.

It wasn't really being nosy - the guy was practically speaking in front of everyone, apologizing for an incident (Incident in past forced him into seclusion, out of regret). Interesting. So he can only manipulate a screw (Possible ferromagnetic or ferrokinetic power)? The way he spoke, it implies that he wasn't as strong as he used to be (Self-created mental blocks inhibiting powers, dropping those blocks will allow him to use the full extent of his power). There was so much more to learn, but she couldn't sit here all day gathering gossip. Adam would jump up in her face if she didn't have her suit on before everyone else. And the last thing she wanted was to hear that man bitch. Debby got up from off her chair, and walked into the locker room. Her locker was the same as it always was, and so was her suit.

Debs wasn't the kind of person to fight in the arena, but she sure as hell loved personalizing this suit when she trains. Shannon helped a ton. It was a black suit, patches around her collar, arms, and legs were a dark-yellow color. It had a massive eye of providence symbol over her chest, symbolizing her ability to seemingly know everything. It had a black eye mask go with it. It had zero practicality, but it looked stylish. This suit looked cool, and fit her just fine. It had no special features that assisted when using her powers. It was otherwise a standard suit, just personalized to fit Deborah's tastes.

When she was done, she stepped out of the locker room. She scanned the room for someone to talk to. There was Shannon patiently sitting right there in her own suit. Deborah smiled, and sat down next to Shannon. "How are you doing, Silkworm? I see you changed your suit."

Shannon smiled at Deborah, "Yeah, the other one was starting to get old." She looked down at her suit... It was so customized that it didn't even look like a traditional suit anymore. It was pink, and had red roses (with green stems) all over her limbs. There was a bright red heart weaved right where her heart would be. On the other side was the moon. Shannon had weaved something like a long-coat into the design, it was a dark red color, very large, it went down to her heels - It also has a small cape (Of the same color) around her hips. She crossed her legs, posed, smiling suggestively at Deborah, "... Like it?"

"Um..." Deborah liked the suit, but didn't like the blatant display of their... affair? (She is attempting to entice me). Successfully enticed me. But, not in front of everyone. Deborah was quick to put it down, bluntly saying, "Yeah, it's great, I bet you put a lot of work into it."

Shannon rolled her eyes. She understood what Deborah was going for, and she was just going to play along. "I think you should keep this on you." Shannon's handkerchief (Which was gifted to Deborah) came out of her own suit, and floated towards Deborah. "Just in case we need to communicate during class."

Deborah grabbed it (Shannon is hurt) and asked, "Where do I put it? It'll..." The handkerchief slipped out of her grip, and slid into Deborah's outfit. Well, all it has to do is touch her in order for her to use her telepathic abilities. "... You know if we're on opposite teams, Adam is going to piss himself?"

"And if he does?" Shannon chuckled, "It won't be any worse than what we're used to."

Valjean Vaseal.

It was time to get suited up!

Valjean already had his suit on from the moment he walked through the doors of the room. A tan, desert-colored, suit, with hidden openings all over his body to allow his extra limbs, his hands were even exposed. His suit was also extra-elastic to withstand his transformation. The suit wasn't personalized like everyone elses. He kept it neat and simple. It isn't a fashion show, kiddies, get over yourselves. He immediately scanned the room for anyone to talk to... Debby is talking to that bitch Shannon, Henry is getting ridden like the dinosaur he is, Chris is dickriding Adam - Pttf. Everyone is still being a bunch of losers. Nothing interesting. Hm... He saw Vespera in the corner hovering over everyone. Probably thinking of ways to creep. Perhaps he'll go amuse himself with how weird she is by having a chit chat - Even if she didn't want to talk to him, he'll talk to her anyway. Just to annoy her. He grinned as he walked over to her. "Hey, Creepy-Girl," Valjean said, smug, attempting to get Vespera's attention. He sat down next to her. "Saw you creeping here in the corner and thought I'd say hi." He wanted to see how she'd react before he continued.

Matthias Landon Oxenford.

Matthias's suit was a white-silver color, and had literally nothing special about it. He felt happy to have it on. He felt like a super hero in this. Now it's time to fight some evil! He stood in the middle of the room, awkwardly looking around. Probably should find the evil before he does anything. There's that creepy girl in the corner, she looks pretty evil. Hmm... Maybe creepy, but creepy is not evil. There was that teacher on stage in the lab coat with the spiky hair. She looks like a mad scientist! Actually, maybe beating up teachers (That look like soccer moms at that) would not be the best idea. Matthias frowned, maybe he'll go talk to someone. Hmm... Someone alone - Because they'll probably both be friendless loners! Yeah! Matthias saw someone who looked pretty gender ambiguous hanging by the door (Salim). Definitely fits the definition of loner. They won't be friendless loners after today! Matthias couldn't contain himself as he walked over to them, with a smile on his face that was supposed to be friendly, but came out as creepy. "Oh, hey, I'm Matthias, you?" He immediately introduced himself, trying to sound charming. He hit a wall when he realized that he didn't have more to say. So he said the first thing that came to mind, "That's a cool suit!"

Henry

"Cant dock a man for trying." Henry said, grinning at Theresa, and crossing his arms. "Looking good Aislin. Now you just need to customize it some." Seconds after their little talk Henry lurched forward when someone jumped on his back. Normally he wouldn't be phased at all from someone Victoria's size jumping on him, but she had caught him by surprise. That was never a good idea for an animal meta human. You were likely to get injured. Henry almost immediately after feeling Victoria's body latch on to his, wheeled around, his elbow swiping and quite nearly taking her head off. His tail unraveled from it's half chameleon pose and arched up his back, wrapping around Victoria's body like a coiled snake and ripping her off of him. He nearly slammed the offender with his tail, which probably would've broken her spine, but he stopped himself as he turned around to look at the one who had jumped him. He immediately set her down. "Jesus Christ Vicky! I could've killed you, you scared the piss out of me!" He said, his tail retracting back to it's half chameleon position and his hand reaching up and resting on top of his skull. He adjusted the thin sheet of mesh back to it's original position. He realized what he had said and done, and knew he would have to make amends. "Sorry, and I didn't literally piss myself. Just making that clear."

He looked around to see who was watching, and saw Valjean was being judgmental, per the usual. Henry looked over to his rival, and pretend to cast a fishing rod, then reeled it in. As he reeled the fake fishing rod with one hand, the middle finger on his other rose up higher and higher until it was fully extended. He looked at it surprised, and attempted to push it down. When it wouldn't go down, he shrugged his shoulders and waved it to the desert scorpion, and then went back to speaking with his friends. He grinned at what Theresa said, about him. "Who, me? Biting? Well I never!" he said, his teeth to detract to their full length, and his second set of jaws to snapping inside his throat. It was an ominous sound, and definitely not one you'd want to hear in a dark alley. "How in the world could you not want to power train!" Henry interjected. He knew full well that Theresa disliked it, and he respected that. Hopefully she'd know he was just giving her a hard time. "I've been here for over a decade and am STILL learning new abilities!" he said, accidentally leaving out the discovery of his ability to gender shift and that kind of fun stuff. He would normally say that he hard learned about six abilities linked to his dick alone when talking to other males, but he was with a FEMALE audience and that probably wouldn't go over well with them.

Matthew

"Don't worry babe. I dont disappoint." Matthew said, crossing his arms across his chest. In reality disappointing her was one of his biggest fears. Not necessarily because it was her, and more because it was one of his mental triggers from what had... happened to him in the past. He could still see the look on his sister's face when she saw him on the wrong side of the battlefield. He thought back to his conversation with Peter earlier that day. Did he deserved to carry her name and claim it as his own? He was brought back to reality when a new girl came over and began speaking. He wanted to say something about him getting all of the bitches, but decided it was best not to as Amanda began to warm into a metal form and he realized she would probably rip his dick off if he did. Or she could be up for it. But it was definitely a risky situation. Get dick ripped off... or get double laid. Get dick ripped off... or get double laid...

Nikki left a few seconds after that, and returned about ten minutes later wearing her suite. Matt was trying to list off the different elements that were now making Amanda up. He was doing okay, but eventually got stuck on her breasts for one reason or another. After a solid minute of staring at them in some faze between turned on and confused, he realized what he was doing and quickly made it a point of why he wouldn't disappoint Amanda. He lifted his arms up, and then threw them down. As they did so, it became very obvious why he had been avoiding fights. His thighs enlarged underneath his looser leggings. Underneath them his legs had actually split up into tendrils that created an almost root like system, reming the ball and socket joint that used to be what his legs were, granting him supreme and inhuman flexibility. His arms on the other hand warped into deep black and red tendrils. On arm, his left, creating a gargantuan, probably six foot or more long blade that began at his forearm and extended down from there, and going up behind his elbow, the back end of the blade sticking up over his shoulder. His arm had another root like system extending into the blade, which was mainly black, but had a silvery and metallic substance around bladed, serrated, and spiky edges of it. His right arm was a different story. His hand had warped from five to four fingers, and just like the other limb, his arm was black and red. However, instead of extending into a single huge blade, his hand had become large and fearsome claws. Each of his four fingers becoming a metallic and serrated blade about a foot long. He flexed the biological blades as if they were fingers, showing he still retained flexibility over them.

"It's been a while since I've gotten to do anything combative." He said. He looked forward to 'drawing a line in the sand'. It was his signature thing. Use his blade arm and scrape it across the ground in front of him, which led to sparks flying and a very nice looking etch in the surface he had scraped his blade on. Then he would say something along the lines of 'You cross that line, I cut off your leg.' "As soon as Adam gives us the go. Hopefully we'll be on the same team, love." He said, winking to Amanda. By this time Nikki had returned. It must be weird for her to return to Amanda suddenly having her armor on and being made of metal, and him being a living and breathing weapon. "Speaking of teams, Amanda, after training I'd like your help with something. Power related, if you don't mind." He said, warping his huge bladed left arm into a mirror of his right, as the blade was huge and bulky, and his claws were easier to move around. He also didn't want to hurt someone on accident... at least he didn't want to hurt someone yet. He hummed in though at what Nikki and said, and decided to carefully word his response so Amanda wouldn't hurt him. "Hey Nikki, if it makes you feel any better, at least you're only getting eyes some of the time. Henry would be constantly getting stares. Even for a meta human he's pretty drastic."

:: Saila Eman-Tsal ::

Simply observing the room actually proved to be quite interesting. Although most of the students looked more or less ordinary, there were a few who exhibited certain rather unusual characteristics. The most noticeable of which was probably the large humanoid lizard, who had just returned wearing a fairly impressive looking suit of armour. He was currently in the middle of one of the small groups which had formed throughout the room, casually chatting with some of the other students. Within the same group were also two unusually dressed students, one wearing a long, very concealing looking outfit, and the other equipped with some sort of rugged, sturdy looking gas mask. The one in the concealing cloak was also sitting in what appeared to be a reinforced wheelchair. In another group, there was a girl seemingly covered in miscellaneous metals, and a harsh looking boy, who, probably using some sort of biologically derived power, had just sprouted a inhuman pair of vicious fighting claws. There was also a dishevelled one armed man speaking with the teacher, and a girl who, upon closer inspection, turned out to be missing an eye. Ouch.

Saila would have continued the silent inspection of the room's many occupants, but noticed another student approaching. Well, technically, noticed wasn't really the best term... "Sensing" would have been slightly more accurate. Probably a young man, from the feel of it. Ignoring his attention out of common courtesy, Saila waited until he actually arrived before turning towards him and pretending to notice him for the first time. People often tended to be a bit unnerved when you reacted to their presence before it actually became known, experience had told.

"Oh, hey, I'm Matthias." he introduced himself, in what was probably an attempt at sounding casual. "You?"

The boy was tall, lanky, and slightly clumsy looking. Black haired and pale skinned, he wore a simple silver-white body suit, very similar to the one Saila had previously put on. Its skin-tight fabric did nothing to hide his skinny and un-muscular frame, clinging unflatteringly to his bony features. He had a sharp, almost piercing gaze, and his features, while rather plain, could be considered to be moderately attractive. He was currently donning an uncomfortable looking smile, awkwardly trying his best to look natural.

"You can call me Saila Eman-Tsal." Saila responded, before amusedly adding with a smirk. "Or just Saila or Eman. I've been told the whole thing can be quite a mouthful."

The androgynous teen spoke with a smooth, fairly neutral tone of voice; cool, but not exactly unwelcoming either. The words were said with a slight, yet clearly perceptible British accent, with distinct traces of something else as well. French or Middle Eastern perhaps? Maybe Hispanic? The name sounded a bit Arabic, but the olive skin tone seemed like it could go either way, really. There was a short, uncomfortable silence between the two before the boy spoke again.

"That's a cool suit!"

Saila looked down at the suit which was provided earlier. It looked a lot like the one Matthias was wearing, only this one was coloured dark grey instead of whitish silver. The armour plating was shaded a slightly darker variation of the overall colour, but it otherwise remained very bland and unadorned. The mutant figured that it was probably made of some sort of high-tech Kevlar weave developed by one of the so called "super brains", given the material's unusually light and flexible properties. It would be interesting to see if it was as durable as the regular variety. While it wasn't quite as form fitting as say, latex, it was only marginally thicker than an average diving suit, and revealed a bit more than was strictly comfortable. The plating helped provide it with a more tactical look, however.

"Yeah, I suppose so. I'll probably modify mine in the future though." Saila sat up, legs nonchalantly crossing in the process. "It could probably use a bit more armour plating..."

Saila raised an arm up for a moment, thoughtfully examining the fabric. Maybe a little additional material on the forearms and shins, to start with...

Kristen Schwally

Kristen started to reply to Red when some weird guy came up to her acting so abnormal. He'd obviously seen her from one of her magazines, that didn't bother her. What bothered her was that she was trying to have a conversation and she didn't even get to say hi back to Red yet. She didn't dislike him though, she just found this guy a bit...rude? Obviously lacking in self control. She could only mutter one thing though, and that was her name. "It's Kristen..." Her mood swiftly rose though when the guy got pushed aside and then Gabriela appeared. Kristen's face lit up and she couldn't help but smile. "Gabriela!" For some reason she could never call her Gabe, probably because she thought that Gabriela was too beautiful to just shorten it. Then Jake spoke and she just kept getting happier. She clasped her hands in front of her chest trying to resist the urge to hug them both. "Jake! I've missed both of you so much!" Then the random girl commented and Kristen just giggled at first. "well in the end I suppose it only makes me more popular, so I suppose in the end, I help them they help me, right?" She didn't mind people like Sylvia, they just wanted to have fun and crack some jokes which admittedly were fun to do. Of course the joke type didn't bother her either, let's be honest, she's right. Kristen was just so happy and couldn't help it either, there was a ood chance that all of them would be feeling it soon, and she was still resisting the urge to hug the both of them, at this point the other random kid who couldn't even get her name right had already been forgotten. "What have you two been up to all this time?" She returned her attention fully to the twins excited to hear what they've been up to all this time.

Stephen Avarian

Stephen smiled apologetically. "Right, sorry. I'm talking about the heat your body gives off." Obviously a kid wouldn't understand this topic fully, what was he thinking talking about this kind of stuff. He mentally face palmed. "So Jaska, how come you're trying to avoid people, or maybe a better question is why are you avoiding your previous group?" There wasn't a lot for the kid to be worried about, in fact there were only a few people he might have to worry about, and most of those people wouldn't hurt a child pointlessly. He could tell the kid felt awkward at this point though because of Stephen so perhaps he'd wrap this up fast, or perhaps try and see how come and try and help Jaska feel better.

Oh. Joy. Locker rooms.

Lynn had weathered Alex's enthusiasm pretty well-Lynn herself was a near-equal bundle of apprehension and excitement. Where she'd come from, well, her gifts weren't exactly publicized. There were certainly rumors, which is the way Lynn wanted it. Rumors. No one knowing, for sure, what the little white girl was capable of doing. The one thing for sure that Cordelia Lynn Holmes wanted the various assholes of the world to know was this: for all the shit she talked, she could sure as hell back it up.

"Yeah. Hey, uh, just a heads up, keep checkin' in with me about that phone number. Think I've only got twenty or so minutes left on it." Lynn eyed a passing student, who had a hundred dollar bulge in their back pocket. Was stealing from metahumans wise? No. Was going without a cell phone wise? Hell no. One must have priorities.

Lynn followed the crowd, which was something she was normally quite averse to doing. Even before she stripped down in the locker room, she felt naked-she'd had the foresight to leave her backpack in the room, not trusting the other people in the locker room to not fuck with it. If she could pop open a lock in a minute, somebody else could, too. If they found the cigarettes or the lockpicking stuff, she had a feeling she'd be on the next boat ride home. Which, admittedly, could be preferable to another day of classes. Lynn didn't feel bad for glancing at Alex's papers and copying down her notes verbatim. Well, trying to. Christ, everyone talked so fast about all this complex shit. She'd excused herself to the bathroom (another thing-ASKING to go take a piss? What the hell was that?) and punched the wall at one point. This was fucking insane. She didn't know any of this bullshit.

So, Lynn was hoping that this power training stuff was right up her alley. Because, uh...the academics of the Academy were going right over her head.

Personalized suits. Okay, that was creepy. When the hell did they get my measurements? Lynn figured they had somebody with a power like that, ya know, clothes powers or whatever. She figured that wasn't the coolest power, but you were probably really well-dressed most of the time. No, shit. Personalized suits meant changing. In the locker rooms. Lynn closed her eyes and took a deep breath, fingers rolling themselves into scarred little fists. I swear to Christ I will not last a week here. At which point, of course, her (admittedly, kinda cute) overly optimistic tagalong grabbed her and began pulling her towards the locker rooms. Changing. Okay. Fuck it. Changing. She could do this. Lynn moved into the locker room, perhaps a little too quickly, and found her locker-which was sorta surreal, because she wasn't used to seeing her full name anywhere. CORDELIA LYNN HOLMES. She'd always found her last name to be rather brutally ironic, given her...nomadic...lifestyle. Lynn popped open her locker and saw her suit, taking it down and examining it for a minute.

Okay, admittedly? This shit was pretty tight. The suit was black, some kinda smooth leather or plastic or something-Lynn hadn't really been paying attention to what the stick-up-his-ass professor dude had said (although she had looked up when he made one hell of a draft come through). She looked it up down for a few moments before starting to put it on. Kevlar padding? Well, she didn't think she needed any armor at all, personally, but whatever. Lynn put the suit back down and took a deep breath, teeth clenched tight enough to make a dentist cry. Reaching down, she ripped off her sweatshirt and tanktop, leaving her torso naked. The girl very firmly faced the corner, keeping her front side out of sight. Lynn's back was more ink than paleness, a beautifully horrifying rendering of Judgment Day, the Four Horsemen riding out from her spine, with generally apocalyptic things playing out in the background. Her arms were cloaked in a rendering of two phoenixes and what appeared to be the angel of death. Say what you will of Lynn's choices in body art, she at least didn't have any dumbass "No Regrets" style ink jobs. Lynn very hurriedly pulled her jeans down (this was easy, given their baggy nature) and kicked them off, throwing her clothes into a bundle in the locker. She had no damned idea if you were supposed to wear these things with clothes underneath, but she wasn't about to strip bare-ass naked for these people. Scars by the dozens visible on her back, arms, and legs, Lynn grabbed her suit and slipped into it, grunting for a moment. Tight fit. Lynn was sure as hell not used to that-most clothes swallowed her up, and gave her the appearance of being bigger than she was-which she liked. This was not going to make any attempts to buff up her size. Sidling into the suit, Lynn found the near-skintight nature of thch she fabric to be immediately annoying-skintight, not cool. The black was sexy, though. Badass. She zipped it up to her throat and noted that her shoulders had a strange kind of...ruffle? There was some material lining the edges of her shoulder and neck, which she played with for a moment. The hell? Lynn arched her neck, looking behind her, and saw that her shadow appeared buffer and larger as a result.

"Oh, hell yeah," Lynn grinned. She padded herself down, making sure there were no surprises, and noticed there was a hood on the back of her suit. Pulling it up and over her head, she found that-while it killed her peripheral vision, it did obscure her entire face in darkness. "Huh. This might actually not suck total dick."

Lynn turned and walked out of the locker room, locating Alex fairly quickly. Changing was never a fun experience, and she generally preferred to anchor herself afterwards, whether it be with cigarettes or music or a familiar face. Lynn eyed Alex up and down and smirked. "Nice, Nightlight. Rockin' the uh, superhero look, or whatever. I bet we all look like dumbasses right now....or tryhards." Lynn turned around, pulling her hood back and shaking her hair a bit. She never bothered much with her hair, but she was considering getting dreads. Wouldn't that be kickass? Plus she'd save time, not having to wash it and stuff. "Oh, look at Lizardman." Lizardman had a little minor aneurysm over some dumb bitch trying to get a piggyback ride. Who the fuck ran and jumped on a seven hundred pound gecko from behind? Lynn watched him curiously for a moment. Hmm. He was pretty happy go lucky earlier. And smart, with the college degree and all. So, why had he flipped out like that? If you ran up and jumped on Alex from behind, you would've gotten a squeak of surprise and then laughed it off. You ran up and jumped on Lynn, you would've been rendered unable to have children in the most painful way possible.

And it was lookin' like the salamander fell into that second camp. What dark shit had gone on in his past, that he reacted that way? Lynn figured maybe it was instincts. You know, like his animal side taking over and stuff. Plus, Lynn figured the only time he ever got a good fuck was when he went to the zoo and got a moment or two with the Komodo dragons, so he was probably really repressed and stuff. Lynn had to really, really fight down the urge to ask if he threw a hissyfit whenever Blackmore came and cleaned his tank at night, too. Remember, he can kick your ass. He probably weighs, like, half as much as a truck or something.

Lynn may not have been the most eloquent, but you couldn't fault the girl for idiocy-her brand of rather crude psychoanalysis was rarely wrong.

"So, I don't know what kinda crap they'll make us do, but we'll just hang tight," Lynn said, scanning the surroundings. There was Morticia, looking as though she'd taken that whole "customize your clothes" shit to heart. Lynn rolled her neck and shoulders, limbering up a bit. She was not, however, stretching. Stretching was for pussies. "If we get put on different teams, then we just won't harass each other. Sound good?"

Some hot bitch was getting a ton of attention from people. Which, you know, wasn't really surprising, but it did make Lynn chuckle. Whoa! She and the roomie were tight. Roomie could actually display positive emotions. Lynn was feeling more and more lost by the hour. "We should go talk with people," Lynn mused. "I mean, they're probably dumbasses, you know, but it can't hurt. I'll try to play nice. You're good at that, you like, do the talking and stuff, and I'll just nod at the right places, and maybe they'll think I'm nice."

Red Winston

The crowd gathering around Kristen didn't help Red at all. Every single word he heard from anyone around was instantly converted into infromation that was randomly stored in his head, causing chaos inside his mind. Red started making irrelevant comparisons between what he heard and any random thing he knew. For example, he connected what he heard about Teen Vogue with random infromation about the magazine. The same happened with everything else. Red couldn't recollect his thoughts, the feeling he had when he approached Kristen prevented him from doing so. He touched his temples with his fingertips and closed his eyes, trying to contain the wild memories, but nothing could be done. People speaking were now people yelling to Red and he felt dizzy, ready to lose balance.

He tried to keep himself up. He didn't want to make Jake or someone else worry. He suddenly got a huge headache and the only thing he could do was go to the locker room. Maintaining his composure as much as he could and trying to keep his cool, Red opened his eyes and excused himself. Kristen was too busy talking with others anyway, so there wasn't a reason to wait for an answer. Maybe Jake would consider it rude that he didn't answer to him, but Red felt that he would collapse at any moment, so he had to skip this as well. He walked to the locker room, staggering every now and then. He passed by Nikki and Amanda, Henry, who he didn't even consider talking to, even though he planned it before and some more people that were around him, without even noticing them.

After making it to the locker rooms, Red poured some water on his face, but now he started muttering every single information that passed by his mind. He locked himself in a toilet to be alone, where he continued muttering a load of things:

"Photosynthesis, Theory of Relativity, cars go when traffic lights are green, cooking recipes, Oscar Wilde, F=ma, don't kill my father, calories per meal, I'm Amanda's Butt-Slave, I'm Red, take the knife away, just stop! Stop! STOP IT!"

After storming through all these memories, Red found himself on the floor inside the toilet, gasping and sweating a lot. He was taking breaths at such a speed that someone from the outside could consider he was dying. He tried to get up, but he couldn't. He didn't even have an idea of how long he was there. He could be there for seconds, hours or even longer. He sat on the floor until he was capable of moving again. At least now, the strange feeling he had was gone.

Victoria LaRouse

Victoria chocked with Henry's tail around her body. She coughed when he let her go. She never thought that Henry would react in the way he did. She thought that she would stay on his back and if he refused her challenge, she would be riding on his back until the class is over. Victoria enjoyed Henry's company. He was a cute "little" lizard in her eyes and always eager to help...except from the rare occasion you are on his bad side. Victoria had sworn that she would marry Henry if he wasn't a lizard-man. Not that he scared her, it's just that she couldn't imagine them making out, at least not without Henry eating her tongue...or head. When she stopped coughing, she said:

"You are a tough one to even surprise, Croco, mais c'est de ma faute! Je suis desole!" Victoria said with a regretful expression.

She didn't want to scare Henry, even though he didn't yell at her for doing so. While Henry was talking to Dana and Theresa and since he knew that Victoria was there, she gently climbed on Henry's back, put her thighs on his shoulders and gave him a kiss on top of his head. It was her way of saying sorry to her favorite Croco! Then she looked at Henry from above and asked him with a puppy face, as soon as he finished talking:

"Can you piggyback me until we leave, Henry?"

Her eyes were shining so bright and her smile was so big that it could be seen from space when she asked him the favor.

Christopher Fox

Chris was glad that his instructor didn't give up on him. If there was one person who knew his job, it was Adam. He could probably draw out Chris' powers by force if he wanted to. At least he didn't have to worry about that part. He decided to suit up. Except there were so many things that he had to ask. Twelve years should surely create differences between things back then and now. At Chris' time, it was enough if you could use your power efficiently and throw a punch or two in the mix, but now, things could be more complicated. He didn't really need to customize his suit, as long as his electromagnetic barrier did the trick. But now, there should me more variables to take into account. Technology expands, there are many who use tactics to win and so on. So he thought that he should once again update his knowledge on some things and make sure what has changed and what hasn't. So, he decided to ask Adam the most basic information:

"Sir, what are the current power-classes? Are they the same as 12 years ago, or there are more in the mix? And do power-levels still indicate only the power of a person's ability and not his overall performance and efficiency with the power?"

Adam Leo Blackmore.

"Gladly, the classes haven't changed since you were a student, but..." Chris asked Adam what are the current classes and power ratings... Actually, this was a great opportunity for him to explain the two subjects to the new students (While annoying the returning students at the same time). He loudly cleared his throat, "Everyone, may I have your attention please?" He said, using his air manipulation to carry his voice further through the room - Which he continued doing throughout his speech. "I figure that now is a good time as any to explain two important concepts when it comes to powers: Classes, and Ratings." He nodded his head. He paused to get everyone's attention. "Classes are the categories every Meta-human is classified under. There are twelve different classes."

He didn't even need to think about the classes - At this point he knew them by heart. "Super System, for powers that enhance natural abilities to superhuman levels. Elemental, for abilities over the various elements you see around you. Cerebral, powers connected to the mind such as telepathy or telekinesis. Chemical, for powers involving bodily, or other chemicals, such as hormones for the former, acid for the latter. Cosmic, powers relate to the celestial bodies.  Energy, the powers that may entail shooting lightning, or generating heat. Bestial/Plant, entails control or transforming into the animal, or plant, kingdom. Extra-Sensory, gaining information through supernatural means. Anatomical/Biological, for powers that relate to the body of yourself, or others. Spatial, a hard class to define, it usually entails powers related to space and time. Power, for powers that are related to the abilities to themselves or others, such as my own. And Other, for the powers that do not fall under the other classes."

Adam tipped his glasses. He choose to give everyone a short break before continuing. He didn't want to overload everyone with information. "I have to tell everyone that no single Meta-human is exclusively under one classification. Many Meta-human powers span over several different classes. The details vary, some have somewhat related powers that happen to have different classifications, or simply different powers that fall under different classes."

Once again he paused for the same reasons as before. "Next concept would be the rating system. Every student here has a number next to their power-classification that tells the strength of their power. One-through-three designates the weaker powers, while four-through-six are the 'medium leveled' powers. Seven-through-nine are the more powerful abilities, while ten is reserved for the strongest Meta-humans." Adam paused for a moment to clear his throat, "For each class a student falls under, they get a rating for that class. There are also some powers who's rating can vary, such as starting as a one, and moving up to a five... I should also note that your rating doesn't dictate skill. An experienced five can trump an unskilled nine. I plan on teaching all of you to become skilled as you can...." Adam tipped his glasses, before continuing.

"Most of you fall under the five-through-eight ranges." I know, because I checked. Speaking of checking, when he checked the students for this class, he noticed there was a ten. Having a student that's ranked ten is rare, it has been years since the last ten (Unfortunately, he left). "However, there is in fact a ten in this class right now." That was all he was going to say. Anyone here could be the level-ten, and he was sure that nobody would find out. Funny thing is that there were a few Meta-humans that are higher than a ten. Just outside the bounds of the school.

Adam stood tall, pressing the clipboard to his chest, "Any questions?"

Amanda Daisy Blackmore, & Nikki Biyung.

"... I hope you don't jack off with those hands." Amanda playfully said, grinning like an idiot. The claws were certainly... impressive. They were the kind of things that could slash through most of the nobodies that fought in the arena. It made her wonder what his power was. Though, she knew that they wouldn't be able to match her metal manipulation. The rest of Matt's alterations went largely unnoticed by Amanda. Except for the tentacles - Oh, I've watched enough porn to know where this is going. She gleefully thought to herself. This guy had to have a form of shape-shifting, or something. It was just like Megan's ability. Which gave her a few devious thoughts for when they're alone. Oh! I hope he can turn into Morgan Freeman, or even myself! Even more wild thoughts went through Amanda's head. All of them sexual.

Matt then asked her about. Oh? Some private class 'lessons'? She grinned deviously. She knew that it would be the perfect chance to entertain all those thoughts. "Gladly, sir Matthew." She said with a look on her face. She was going to ask him what he could do with his dick, or make tentacles. Jesus, this guy might be the best boyfriend ever. "... If, you return the favor if you know what I mean..." She bit the tips of her finger and gave him a suggestive look.

Nikki was also impressed by Matt's display of power. Very dangerous and flashy claws. Not that she was jealous or anything. She was dealt her cards, and those cards just happen to be a powerful control over arthropods. Sure it was a little lame, but it was more of the way she used it. Hm, that was actually her advantage over most of the people here. They had raw and flashy powers, she was skilled. In the body, mind and in her power. She used all of those together to carry her through fights - Not just fights, life in general. Um... She just realized she was sitting here, staring at Matt's claw. God dammit, she did this a lot when she thought. She pried her eyes away, and scratched the back of her neck. She wondered what she should say in regards to Matt's powering up. Well, she knew that he had a shape-changing ability of some sort, but what could she say....?

"Hey, what is your power?" Not the best topic she could come up with on short term, but she was curious about the details. "I theorize you're a shape-changer." She just threw it out there. It was probably obvious. Matt said something regarding her comments about everyone ogling her young body. Yes, she didn't have it as bad as Henry, but there's a difference. People saw Henry as a monster, he was large, green and intimidating. Where they would be giving her more... perverse looks. Nikki let out a sigh, choosing not to say anything about it. Since Matt just wouldn't get it.

Adam did yet another speech. Which made both girls perk up and pay attention. He was explaining the power classes, and the rating system. That was certainly something that made Nikki curious. She knew that she was an animal-type for her control over insects and a biological-type for her ability to manipulate their biology. That also meant that everyone here got a rating, and a class, and it was up to her to find out who's who. Amanda merely rolled her eyes. You already told me this a thousand times, Daddy!

Though, Amanda. "Who do ya'll think is the ten?" She said with a smug smile, that made her seem more like she was playing around than curious - Which is what she really was, curious. Everyone she met was in the three-through-eight ranges of powers... But a ten? "I never met a ten before... Like that fucker must be scary as all hell. Probably level the school with a swing of his dick."

Nikki shared the same sentiments as Amanda. A level ten? Now that must be frightening. She imagined that tens would have godly power, or something that trumps almost everyone in here. But, no matter how powerful you are, you are not invincible - It goes without saying the same applies to everyone else here. She bet if Mr. Ten (A little nickname for this mystery person - Since Adam probably isn't going to say anything) tried anything, the combined might of everyone in this room could trash him. Nikki answered Amanda's question, "I get the feeling we'll find out one way or another..."

Jake & Gabriela Valos, & Sylvia Bertoose.

As Red freaked out, the group looked at him, before pretending nothing happened and continuing with Kristin.

Sylvia slyly giggled at Kristen's response. Shooting her a playful smile. So it turned out that the supermodel as inept as she thought she'd be. What fun. "Heh, very optimistic. I'm sure their parents aren't getting helped. Who do you think has to clean up all the sticky magazines and tissues?" Since Kristen got the first joke, she decided to continue from there. No shame. Sylvia honestly found it fun to poke fun at people, and crack jokes, even if they come off as lewd, and tasteless. She'd rather be 'lewd and tasteless' then be someone who has a stick up their ass.

Gabe put a hand on her hip, and rolled her eyes, "Ignore her." She put her hand out in front of Sylvia. Getting some loud protests from the silver-haired girl. They have better things to do than listen to her make incessant fapping jokes. "Oh, we've been..." Gabe turned her head towards Jake, who was giving her a look that just screamed 'Yeah, no'. That was because they had some rather deep stories attached to coming up here. "... Just coolin'. We were sent here because my dad-" Her dad being Jason Valos, head of the Valos family, "-got a little pissed at me and sent us here." She choose to leave out Jaska's part in the decision to send them here.

"... And, speculation here, but, we may have burned the house down." Jake said with the cheekiest smile on his face, referencing a past event that Gabe caused (And no one else had a hand in). For no reason other than to see her reaction. Which was a venomous glare - Jake responded by looking even cheekier! He turned to Kristen smiling. He figured that he should give her a proper answer. "Well, Kristen, we could ask you the same question, but we weren't doing much..." He closed his eyes and shrugged, holding that pose as he continued, "... Only the usual; getting into the weirdest shit possible." It was true. Everyone who held the last name Valos seemed to have a knack for getting into the strangest situations.

"I should have been there for them!" Sylvia injected. She seriously missed some cool shit! She hated the dull shit, she loved the extra-ordinary. Which is why she got along so famously with the Valos. They couldn't be any further from ordinary. "... But, I, uh, came here, and became a badass... and everything...." Sylvia shrugged.

"We could tell you all that weird shit," Gabe started, shrugging. "But we're a little pressed for time, and I think someone would get aroused." Mid conversation, Gabe gestured at Kristen's outfit, it was very... fashionable - But here, fashionable isn't in style. "Girl, get changed. We can talk later."

Adam's speech got the Valos's attention. It wasn't anything new to Sylvia, but it was certainly interesting to hear to the rest of them. Jake was told he was a Cerebral-type, and Gabe was certainly an Energy-type. Their ratings were ultimately irrelevant to them. Because they fucked up people that could be ranked as a 8 or a 9 in the past - Sylvia and Johnny helped sometimes. Heh, there's a reason the Valos have lasted this long...

... But one thing caught their attention.

"... Take three guesses on who is the ten he's referring to." Jake put a hand in his pocket, and quietly says to Gabe. He didn't want this to be heard by Kristen or any of their guests.

"... Jask." Gabe whispered to Jake. "When he... you know..."

"Bingo."

Sylvia certainly caught notice of it. She blinked and her sound wave vision was activated, she saw what they were saying... And understood it fully...

Jaska Din Valos.

Hm? Oh! His heat. Jaska understood it fully now. The young boy had a basic grasp of heat, because of his own power was related to heat. In fact his own body heat was insanely high because of a small, but potent, heat source in his body. What did his mother call it? Yes... The Fire Heart - His own little Heart of Fire. "Oh, I have a fire heart... That must be what you're seeing?" Truthfully, it had no connection to his emotions, nor did it fluctuate. It just had one standard temperature, and it was really hot. Though, he didn't really understand his power as well as, say, a intermediate user of their power - He was still such a novice.

Then Stephen went on more sensitive subjects. Specifically why he wanted to be alone. Ummm... He wasn't very comfortable with sharing that. He was still budding, not good at keeping his thoughts and emotions bottled up. "... I just wanted to be alone for a bit... They're with someone I don't like..." Jaska simply answered. Stephen should understand, if not, he'll just have to find another place to hide.

Adam's speech largely went over his head since he paying attention to his own thoughts and emotions than the situation around him. Something he was taught was dangerous...

Matthias Landon Oxenford.

Saila Eman-Tsal... Saila... Eman... What? Matthias had to do a double take because he didn't really understand Salia's name. It sounded Middle-Eastern, or Indian - Her accent hinted a foreign heritage, so that didn't help. Something that was horribly out of Matthias's range. Just to take a note, he would definitely avoid saying this person's name much as possible. Even if it sounded awkward or stupid! Because their name is awkward and stupid... Actually, what bloody gender is this person? Boy, girl, both?! It was absolutely ridiculous! Man, this school sure is weird. He said, resting his head on the back of his chair. Meh, he relaxed. He shouldn't get so stressed over such silly subjects. "Nice to meet you..." He calmly said, trying to sound lax as possible. Hm, so she wants to modify her suit? Well, Matthias would appreciate more armor on his suit... Not that it would really matter because damage is so inconsequential to him. "I would make my suit..." He gestured towards Shannon's magnificently designed suit... The roses, the red color... He must have one for himself! "... Like that! So fancy and well done! I'd love to look like a superhero." He put a fist to his mouth, and let out a fake cough. Okay, he was getting a little too excited here. He needed to be chill. He decided to ask a question that was on his mind to make conversation, "... What do you think most of these kids are capable of?"

Adam's second speech went over his head. Because he was largely uninterested in the categories and rating they slapped onto people. To Matthias it was just another unnecessary label. He shrugged, speaking his mind to Salia, "Meh, just more things to inflate these kids egos."

Poppy Flanagan

It was a relief to have somebody with her that was nice. If Poppy had ran to Amanda she was sure that she would have regretted it. "Thanks." She stood straighter and tried to calm down a little. It still wasn't working very well. I should be getting away from these people... Only now that she was with people did she consider that she might actually transform. The only thing keeping her from bolting back out the door was that she didn't know what triggered her power. There was still classes where she had to be near people, and she had done just fine on that account today. If she ran out of here she might as well not attend class either, plus both would ruin the point of her being here. Deep down she really did want to know what she truly was. It was the uncertainty that was killing her.

Poppy then turned her attention to the other girl. What she had to say allowed to get a better grip on herself. So I guess I'll say I'm not comfortable with showing anything... Unless it happens anyways... It was the best she was going to get until her power activated again though. "Oh..." She composed herself as best she could. "It's nice to meet you. I'm Poppy Flanagan." Having friendly people that had done this a few times was going to be a good thing after all.

When the lizardman walked up Poppy lost some of her color. She back peddled slowly and nearly tripped. His casual and joking demeanor took her off guard. Wearing that armor he looked even more intimidating than before. Not to mention that this was the first time she'd seen him up close. Every instinct in her body told her to flee, she would have if either of the other two had. He just has a different power than me... he's not that- She immediately scratched that thought. He was way different than her, and everyone else for that matter. Still since he seemed nice enough, so she would do her best to get used to him quickly. Especially if he hung around Theresa often, as it seemed he did.

Inside the locker room Poppy was quite disgruntled about having to she her clothes, but she was prepared to do it anyways. She peeked and saw the others outfits and was actually sort of excited. That is until unlocked the door saw that her's looked like the one Adam held up. How the heck am I going to get this to look pretty? She would deal with that later. It would of been nice if she had something to start off with though. After she was all done she joined the ever growing group outside. There was so much going on that she didn't feel engaging anyone in conversation. Though she would be receptive enough if approached.

Vespera Spindel

This was an unexpected development. Not only did somebody decided to approach her, but it was none other than Valjean Vaseal. Then she began to think on it a little more. With his girlfriend occupied that leaves, let me see, no one that likes him. She herself actually treated him with a tad of respect, for his abilities of course. The guy was like a piss happy dog marking his territory all over the neighborhood, but only defending one spot. His manlihood. Small turf indeed. With the attitude on him he had to be compensating for something. He was powerful, but he made even more enemies than her. "It seems I've been spotted, whatever shall I do?" Vespera spoke in a husky voice and shrugged. "There's no way I could creep with you around, they could feel the heat from a mile away." On the last part of the sentence she switched to a dainty voice. She leaned in closer and clasped her hands at chest level. "Whatever do you propose we do in instead?" After fluttering her eyelashes she then crossed her arms and legs. Then she turned to face completely forward and in a tone hard as ice she said "Well, get on with it." In her regular tone of voice she followed up. "Certainly you didn't come here just to say hi. Where's Deborah and your other friends?" She was going to do her best to back him into a corner, verbally tangle him in her web and watch him struggle to respond. Or will he leave? But the question is where to? If he stormed off and sat by himself that would make her day. There was the chance he would play it off in which case they might actually converse on equal footing. Almost.

Karlie Davis

"I saw that earlier! What was up with that?" Karlie didn't wait for a response. "From what I've been hearing you guys are into some major kink already." She giggled at her literal interpretation of the conversation before she joined them. "My gosh! Aren't you going to introduce me?" Without giving her the chance to she spoke to Matt in a serious tone of voice as if Amanda wasn't there.

"Sup. I'm Karlie." Then she gave a slight nod of the head and turned right back. Nikki was the only one that had to leave to get on her suit. She watched her as she went hoping that she wasn't going to end up feeling like a third wheel, or technically a forth. Except she didn't care whatsoever. If they started making out she might even cheer them on. When Nikki came back Karlie was eager to show her support. Or attempt to.

"Ooh, looks like they got that all customized for ya! I can so totally help you with styling it! I wish I could look however I wanted. At least I have a lot of looks to choose from though." She didn't consider that she might actually prefer to be able to wear normal clothes to power training. After all she didn't really fill the suit well, that much she did acknowledge. It wasn't something nice to say though. "Don't listen to Amanda. She's. Just. Jealous! Karlie waggled her hips each time she spoke. "I mean look at her, and I thought I was chest heavy!" Karlie motioned to her osmium plating. This was doubtfully going to make Nikki fell better, probably even worse. Nothing intentional, it just was who she was when with Amanda.

When the subject switched to power ratings Karlie joined in. "Unless he doesn't know how to use it at all. Although in this case that'd be rather sad..." She trailed off for a moment then laughed at her own humor.

Matthew

"Only when I'm feeling extra frisky." Matt said, giving Amanda a toothy grin back. He allowed his claws to degenerate back to his original arms, and crossed them across his chest. The look on Amanda's face gave away that she was thinking something perverted, which was semi on par with his own mind. What came out of Amanda's mouth next confirmed his suspicions. "Gladly, but I'm actually being somewhat serious here. I need the-" He began, only to be cut off by Nikki. He decided to take this in stride, and would use it to explain what exactly he did so it seemed like he would be answering Nikki's question rather than just bragging. He was proud of his ability, and based upon how Amanda seemed to get off on power, he hoped she would like what he was about to display.

"Most of the time, you're right, Nikki." Matthew began, taking a step back and leaning against the wall behind him. "I am a shapeshifter... sometimes." He said, thinking for a moment as to what exactly he had been diagnosed as having. "My current ability is rated under eight, super system, and biological." He said, rolling his hand to lead in to what he was saying. "So your guess would be right. I developed my power last year, about this time, so I don't have too much experience with it. However, my power was a result of the Black Fall effect, if you know what that is, and exposure to a lot, and I mean a lot of power. I spontaneously developed the power I have now, which is technically only one ability with many applications. Biokinesis, and I'm not too good with it yet. But, this academy, while it picked up what I had and rated me off of it, they also picked up what the docs described as my core ability." He said, his eyes darting from Nikki to Amanda and he smiled. He hoped this worked. He fell silent for a moment to let Karlie speak, before continuing on. "You hit the nail on the head, Karlie. I have what they called a combination between Omnikinesis, which is like telekinesis but with more applications, and an un-accessed complete arsenal. I can learn and store just about any power in existence." He said. "And switch between the powers at will. It's what I want your help with Amanda, I want to learn to control metal, and bend it to my will like I do my own body. Electricity, Sound, Metal, hell I could probably learn to manipulate light enough to turn myself invisible. I just need teachers." He said. "The problem being I have learned to control about... one ability out of several million. Yes, Amanda, penis manipulation is within the parameters of my power. No Amanda, I have no practiced with it yet." He said, winking to her

"I also need sparring partners, someone to help me not just learn to control, but to master, if anyone is willing. My power is a lot like the Blackmore power that Adam always goes on about, Amanda. The main difference being I don't need to absorb another meta human's power. I just need a lot of time, or a good teacher." He said, tilting his head and cracking his neck. "I have no idea who the ten is. Could be some stupid secret rating of my own ability for all I know. Or Henry there goes even more Hulk when he gets angry." Matt said, pushing himself off the wall. "What about you three, what do you do?"

Henry

"Uh... Ne vous... erm inquiétez pas à ce... sujet ?" Henry replied, using the little French he had picked up from Victoria in the past. "Did I say that right?" He questioned. "Anyways, dont worry about it, Vick. Sorry for nearly strangling you." he said, using one of his huge arms, and pulling her into a half armed hug, before she climbed up on his back again. "If we're put on the same team, you can stay up there until Adam forced us apart. If we pretend hard enough, maybe he might think we're one person." Henry said, his James Bond-Spy eyeball rotating upward to look to Victoria, who had just kissed him on the forehead. If he were still human he would have flustered. Then again if he were still human he probably wouldn't have her on his shoulders, and he probably wouldn't be here, as a somewhat gifted Japanese/Canadian man didn't get you into a school full of super humans. Unless his superpower was size, but then again his dad was about 5'10 and he doubted he would have gotten any taller than that himself. In reality he had a totally not super huge gargantuan crush on Victoria that he knew he would never do anything about because he was 110% positive reptile wasn't on her menu of potential mates.

He knew that, if you put his appearance aside, that he was a catch of a man. He was rich, had a good paying job, loved kids, respected women to fullest extent he could, and had achieved a doctoral degree in biomedical sciences and biochemistry. He could also probably become a movie star with his appearance if he really wanted to. Of course life threw his wildcard as being his appearance, and most of the people he met were more interested in what kind of car he could afford to buy them over what he felt (he would buy nothing but a Tesla if he needed a car, he would always tell himself. An extra large Tesla). He felt a bit fucked over compared to some of the other animal meta humans, like Valjean and Vespera, who could return to human form at will. He had to have everything specially made to suit him. Even his damn toilets were different, the door fames had to be bigger otherwise he'd go Wreck-It-Ralph on them by accident. He had come to terms with his difference of course, and he accepted himself for what and who he was. It was the reason why, despite being so different to everyone else, he still functioned socially and had a Facebook page with a respectable following. He smirked to himself in pride at that. He had combined some basic physics and took some trash he found around campus and basically found a way to blow it up using chemistry or some form of energy transferral. He still had that 'mega magnifying glass' he had built using this huge ass lens he happened across/acquired/stole somewhere in his room.

And while he had accepted his difference and used it to become a small social media star (he was no Pewdiepie), he did wonder what life would be like if he were still... more him, if he could say that. He would say more human, but sperm tests had shown (yes they tested that) that he was still capable to producing viable, human offspring that were carriers of a meta gene despite having mutated to his degree. These carriers would be activated via black fall effect or if they went through mitosis with the egg cell that was also a carrier... bah, genetics. The human probably wouldn't even be an animal meta and would most likely be scared of him or be ashamed of him if he had a kid. Which really sucked, because he loved kids. What caught his attention was what Adam said about the level ten meta human among them. "I'm rated seven to eight, animal. It's not me." Henry stated, crossing his arms across his chest and ridding his mind of the thoughts he was having. For another time, he mused, now was the time to talk before the storm.

:: Saila Eman-Tsal ::

"Nice to meet you..." Matthias replied, giving a poorly concealed quizzical look.

Saila barely repressed a grin at the boy's reaction to the name. Clearly it must have gone right over his head, judging from his confused expression. This seemed to imply he wasn't gifted with meta-human reasoning capabilities; although, in all fairness, it tended to have a similar effect on most people who heard it. He was probably still in the process of trying to determine the gender of the person he was talking to, if experience was any guide. He didn't really seem the type to simply ask outright, which promised a fair amount of amusement in the future. Although, initially, the name had been little more than an improvised joke, it had actually since grown on the young meta-human. Metaphorically speaking, it felt like it offered a clean slate, a fresh start. Of course, it wasn't exactly complete, since the official one had still been used for the registration process, but still, it was unlikely the other students would pay too much attention to that.

The silver-clad student's eyes wandered across the room, considering the various body suits for a moment, before replying:

"I would make my suit..." he gestured towards one of the more elegantly dressed students. "Like that! So fancy and well done! I'd love to look like a superhero."

The attire in question, which had been previously noted during the earlier examination of the room, did indeed appear to be of very good quality. Probably hand made by a personal tailor, or something. Many of the students attending here seemed to be quite well off, so it was a definite possibility. It was very stylish, although a bit more eye-catching than what one would expect out of a practice suit.

"Hm... That one is pretty nice, actually. I wonder how much it must have cost. Seems like it would be a small fortune. It looks like it is hand-tailored, too. Super-hero spandex isn't really my thing, though. Most super-suits end up looking quite silly once you get past the hype..."

Matthias gave a brief cough, seeming a bit embarrassed by his outburst of enthusiasm.

"... What do you think most of these kids are capable of?"

"Well, from what I have seen so far, I would say that this one..." Saila pointed at Amanda. "... is pretty clearly a ferrokinetic. The one next to her, Nikki I think was her name, was in one of my classes this morning, and I'm fairly sure has some sort of power over insects. The boy with them probably has either shapeshifting or anatomical powers, given the look of those claws. The lizard man there... and the kid over there... both obviously look like they have animalistic powers, probably high levelled given how heavily their appearance changed. The girl over there... is wearing some sort of gas mask, so she could have chemical powers, although it could just be a fashion accessory. The bearded bloke over there... is missing an arm, and the girl by the entrance has a missing eye along with a few visible injuries, which I am guessing might be the result of difficult to control powers. I am not really sure about the others, but judging from body language alone, I think this one..." Saila's glanced at Deborah with a slightly somber look. "...might possibly have some form of cerebral talent..."

"D-... Milton had the exact same look on his face, when he used his abilities..." Saila silently finished. An impassive look almost instantly made its way back on the teenager's face, almost as though it had never left. Although the signs would probably go unnoticed to anyone who didn't know to look for them, after almost a year spent living with the middle-aged telepath, Saila had become exceedingly good at spotting them. The subtle lapses in attention, the lingering gaze, they were all too reminiscent of the way the man carried himself. Bloody prick... Hopefully Matthias hadn't noticed that uncharacteristic display of emotion. Despite having a supposedly complete control of body language, it was ridiculously easy to get a reaction by bringing up that subject. Admittedly, it was still practically imperceptible compared to normal standards, but for Saila, it was pretty much the equivalent of a full on outburst.

Thankfully, before the conversation could proceed any further, the teacher called for the class's attention and explained the power classification system. Although Saila had already gotten a brief overview of the basics before coming here, many things had been left out, and reliable practical information on the subject was surprisingly hard to get, so the teenager made sure to listen carefully. Most what he said was generally more or less in line with what the websites and testers had mentioned. Super-system for physical abilities, Cognitive for neurological ones, Energy for lightning discharges and things like that, and so forth, and so forth... He did, however, also mention the Power and so-called "Other" categories, which had only been briefly glossed over in the past, apparently being one of the former himself. Interesting. Personally, Saila was classified as having low leveled Cognitive and Super-system powers, with potential minor Chemical, Anatomical or Extra-Sensory capabilities. The speech went on to describe the system used to determine the strength of those powers. It was a fairly simply one to ten rating, with one being the lowest. Nothing new there. He did, however, also give a few hints regarding the power classifications of the students within the class, along with a surprising revelation:

"Most of you fall under the five-through-eight ranges.", he explained. "However, there is in fact a ten in this class right now."

Well that was unexpected, to say the least. Rank ten meta-humans were usually considered extremely rare by any standards, and it meant that there was a particularly powerful student amongst them. While their power could be something flashy and obvious like energy breath or lightning farts, it might also be something extremely subtle for all they knew, like a high end telepath or shapeshifter, or something... Unless ability ratings of multiple talents were considered to be cumulative, which was doubtful, it also probably meant that Saila would probably be on the lower end of the power spectrum during the course. Nothing new there. Matthias didn't really seem to have paid much attention to the speech. He wryly commented:

"Meh, just more things to inflate these kids egos."

"Eh... It probably will not last long once they realize that a vast majority of class eight and under "brick-type" meta-humans can easily have their heads shot clean off by any marginally competent normal marksman with a 50. caliber anti-tank rifle..." Saila commented with dark, deadpan humour. "The really dangerous ones are usually those with the less flashy abilities. For most countries, a class four technopath is a complete nightmare compared to a class nine blaster, in terms of national security."

"Speaking of which, what sort of powers do you have?"

"Hopefully not invulnerability, considering my previous comment..." Saila considered retroactively. "Maybe next time it might be best to obtain more information on the person I'm talking to before saying things like that..."
