Sooooo… the goal was to fetch a relic and get back here? Ok. Asa could deal with that. Destroying anything in the way? Awesome. Meeting your partner by them being the first person you make eye contact with? Weird, just weird. But Ok, whatever. Asa’s ears and tail were twitching in anticipation. _Better start crying,_ he thought setting Tears of Blood to it’s claw form, then laughing quietly at the joke, he was flung off the cliff. Sailing through the air, giddy with the flight, Asa angled himself so as to catch a tree at the best possible angle. A huge trunk loomed up on his right and, flinging his arm out Asa caught the tree with his claw, pulling his legs in and pushing off at another tree, streamlining his tail and flattening his ears. Asa would keep bouncing from tree to tree as long as possible, leaving him little time on the ground, where he was more likely to encounter Grimm. Better to spot them from up here and attack from above, than be the one getting ambushed. Of course this tactic wouldn’t last forever, but it would get him where he was going, if he didn’t run into any distractions that is. And the thing about partners? Well, he’d probably find one.

The night was a very silent night as everyone fell asleep. Silus crawled into his sleeping bag with the fox Faunus that had ended up sharing with him. He grinned slightly as an arm wrapped around her and slid slowly under her shirt. --- Silus was woken with a sharp crack across his back. The violent noise resounded through the silent hall and Silus sat up, a hiss escaping his lips. The bedroll followed his movements and revealed a very naked Silus. The yellow eyes of the Lizard Faunus snapped to the partner that had shared his bed to the riding crop that left a welt on his back. He knew what was coming at this point but was sorely hoping that there was another person that enjoyed carrying such a sadomaso stereotype of a weapon. The eyes then flicked to the legs of the women that had just hit him, stockings and a fine shape. NOT GOOD. Alarm bells began to ring in the lizard’s mind. The eyes then flicked up to her face. None other than Goodwitch stared down at him. “Shit” --- Silus stood upon the launch pads that were embedded into the ground of Beacon Cliffs. The Lizard shook his arms and legs, rolling his neck slowly. He gave his wrists a quick flick, the bracelets on his arms snapping open. The bottom half enclosing his wrists and the top resting just under his elbow. A thick metallic liquid seeped from the two halves and coated his arm and fists. The liquid solidified and became something reminiscent of scales. The barrels pointed up to the sky, skewing off the top half of the bracelet. Two flicks of his anklets and the same occurred. He fell into a three point position, hand balled into a fist on the launch pad. He saw the mechanism tick over then felt a violent force shoot him into the air. Silus grinned and punched his fist forward, Rush firing off a round and sending him forward violently. He reeled the fist back and punched the next one forward, angling himself towards the ground and a Beowulf unlucky enough to be underneath the descending Lizard. The Grimm collapsed under the force of the metal ensconced fist. Silus looked up to the other Beowulf of the pack, a sick grin splitting his lips. The grin widened, a scar that split his face. The grin of a predator falling prey to bloodlust. He placed a crystal of dark red dust into his mouth and kicked into the ground, sending him backward into a vicious axe kick that caught the face of a Beowulf. Rush fired off another round as the kick connected, sending the foot through the animals skull. Viscera scattered everywhere as Silus pulled himself up to his full height, breathing in through his nose as he chewed the dust. Bringing his arms across his face in a practiced gesture he pulled them back and sent his head forward, gouts of white flames exploding from his grinning lips. The Beowulf’s were consumed in the raging flames. He shook the splattered remains off his boot and shot himself forward into the forest. He had to find a partner first. That was the test. He closed his eyes for a brief second before he heard a loud voice shout out. "Ok monsters, here I come!" Silus opened his eyes and found himself staring down Nahbi a few feet ahead of him. He gave a short sigh, rolled his shoulders back and waved at her “partners I guess then…” he said with a smile.

She heard his voice before she saw him. Nahbi turned in the direction of the sound and saw that lizard faunus from last night and realized he was to be her partner. "Hey!" she called back with a grin, waving her hand. Nahbi ran the distance to him (though she was sure not to stand so close, lest she injure her neck from trying to look him in the eye) and stopped, crossing her arms in front of her as if to size him up. "Sup, lizard man?" He wasn't her first choice. Nahbi hadn't been all that comfortable with the… tension last night, and he'd been one of the main instigators of it. On the other hand… "There's absolutely no way you're getting out of teaching me that fire breathing thing now," she said with a mischievous grin. "You run into any Grimm yet?"

Seilber's ears had twitched as someone approached. The swish of something cutting through the air as well as the smacking crack of the crop striking flesh was heard. Seilber went to whirl to her feet, modesty a concept that never entered her head as her image shivered in place, a displacement effect. Her body and feet got tangled up in the sleeping bag and down she went, sprawling across the floor. Her Semblance created an instant replay in triplicate for anybody watching until the afterimages caught up. Her face stung with embarrassment at getting tripped up so easily. Sighing, she drummed her nails on the floor for a second before straightening the nightshirt she wore. It wasn't much good for fending off the advances of a certain reptilian Faunus. There was no telling just how far that had actually gone at this point. A stern, hard glare was leveled her way by Glenda, with a very disappointed, "I expect better from you." was levied her way. --- The short breakfast was just enough for Seilber. Never eat a full fill, or that makes you slow, sluggish, especially if you know you're going into a fight was a piece of advice that had come to her down the line. Now she stood on the cliff top on the square catapult platform like the others. She looked over at Silus for a moment, then Cyrul, and the other familiar faces. Steeling her gaze she listened to Ospin and the witch. When the catapult was about to fire, she felt a slight vibration and braced herself. As the platform exploded upward, her coiled legs sprung as well, propelling her farther and faster, sending her into the air. She tumbled uncontrolled at first, but twisted much like a cat to flatten out, and then tucked her limbs, making herself as aerodynamic as she could be. As her flight turned into an arc she began scanning for a good spot to make her landing. The ground was rushing up at her faster and faster, as were the trees, but she fought down the panic. She needed to be relaxed and precise for this to work. Otherwise she'd die where she landed, a broken little foxen bit of wreckage. Coming up was one tree that had relatively clear space. Extending her arms, she rolled onto her side, hooking her hands to catch the side of the tree. It swung her around, ripping G-forces through her, cracking her feet around like a whip. AS she came around the trunk, she let go and twisted, bringing her knees up to her chest. She landed on a stringy branch, but not on the top, rather on the side. It flexed under her body weight, bending before the material flexed back hard. She sprung off it like a springboard, flipping with a twist clear of the canopy, over to the next tree. Stretching her arms above her head she caught another branch, swung once in a complete loop around it then let go to drop down, catching another branch near the bottom, braking her fall further until it was a short drop to the ground. Landing, she power-chunked... a landing technique where her legs weren't straight but bent at a shallow angle. It transitioned into a smooth forward roll, distributing what little impact force was left along her entire body. Dusting her hands off, she stretched her arms and shoulders. "Woo! That was fun," she crowed before covering her mouth. Quiet, she needed to be quiet! Thankfully she was still facing mostly North. With that in mind she scanned around for any of her fellow students...

Cyrul grinned as he heard the speech. Destroy everything in your way or die trying? That was a mindset he could get behind, and with Cheshire Grievance at his side there was no way he was going to die trying. He watched as his new friends from yesterday were launched high into the air, drawing his weapon and unfolding it into combat mode as he knew his turn was coming up, and then suddenly he was being launched through the air at high speeds. The wind forces and time were working against him as he shifted his body and weapon, planting his feet on the backs of the two large machete-like blades of Cheshire Grievance, at an angle to the ground. He could see a spot coming up where he was pretty sure he would be landing and braced himself for impact. Five, four, three, two, one, and his blades slammed into the ground, burying themselves in the hard dirt of the pathway and stopping all of his downwards momentum, and most of the vertical. What vertical momentum remained he used to flip forward, still holding onto Cheshire Grievance as his flip pulled it out of the ground, landing on his feet in a combat ready stance before looking around... And seeing Seilbar standing just a short distance away. He grinned a bit as he made eye contact with the fox girl, waving. "Hey! Fancy meeting you here."

Yasuri readied himself as the pads down the line began to launch off ignoring Pasley's dirty look in his direction, the test sounded simple enough, kill everything, get the treasure, and get out. Suddenly the pad launched him and he grinned as he flew through the air, excited by the rush of power he felt soaring through the air. As he reached the peak of his ascent he carefully considired his trajectory and possible landing stratigies. As he hurled through the air towards the ground his eyes focused on his ideal target. He carefully took out his sword and angled himself approiatly. Yasuri stuck his sword out carving deep into the tree the as was about to swing off the tree he fired a round from the katan's hilt sending him spiraling around the tree, he did this until he finally arrived at the bottom, having cut a spiral down the tree and removed several branches. He gave a small "hmph" of satisfaction and set off into the forest curious to know who his parnter would be. After a minumal bit of walking he quickly heard the sound of singing, which seemed rather stupid considring they were in a Grimm infested forest, but each to thier own he supposed. Yasuri figured he should probally just make whoever it was his partner and get his over with. He popped out of the bushes he was in and waved at the whistler, a spear wielder, "Hey new partner, let's go." He said quickly, Yasuri had made sure to note the location they were headed to and immediatly set off towards it at a light run.

Nico awoke kind of late and unfortunately no one bothered to wake him up at all. Nico jumped out of his makeshift bed and ran to the showers. After taking a quick shower and getting dressed he ran over to his locker, grabbed his Bat'leth and ran to the cafeteria for breakfast. After eating sloppy and quick breakfast he made his way to the ships. Nico stood on a small white launching pad overlooking the emerald forest. He yawned and scratched his back as Ozpin gave his short speech about what they were to do for their test. Nico was not really paying attention to what was going on, the hectic morning had left him sleepier than normal. Nico did notice the other students around him, but did not care to say good morning of say hello. Before Nico knew in he was launched into the air, his screams were muffled by the air as it whipped past his face. Nico immediately rectified his body so his feet pointed words the ground, he then activated his semblance. He manipulated his own kinetic energy and slowed his body down, just enough for him to touch down on the ground softly. Nico unsheathed his Bat'leth and strolled into the dark green forest. Nico dragged his feet as he trudged through the dark forest. Why he had the do this? He had no idea. He longed to find a nice bush to lay down and rest his sleepy head. But unfortunately, Nico could not do that due to the fact that this was a Grimm infested forest. Nico unknowingly trudged into a large clearing, and came face to face with…. 2 giant snakes. One white one black, unfortunately Nico knew them as The King.

Salvia had woken up like most of the students there, eaten her breakfast quietly, shuffled along with the rest of the new arrivals when the announcement came to go to the cliffs. Once there she listened to Ospin's speech and readied herself. Godspear was in hand, and she was in her combat gear at this point. When the catapult launch sequence got to her, she added more force to it, using her Semblance, rocketing herself explosively over the trees which yawned below her. Wind rushed through her hair, and for a moment she was as free as a bird in flight. As gravity began to take hold, she touched on her Semblance again, using her aura to create a collumn of pure force, raw kinetic energy. Stiffening her body out, she made the point of origin at the soles of her feet, only about a foot or so wide, and released it like a massive bullet. She accelerated forward and toward the sky again like a rock kicked by a giant boot. Grunting a little with the G-forces, her face split into a sick grin. She was cutting through the wind now, and as she flew she snagged Godspear from her belt telescoping it out and thrusting it ahead of her to pierce the rush of air, giving her a little more of an aerodynamic edge. Rolling once, she spotted the top twigs and leaves of a tree coming up ahead. With a hard flick of her wrist, she shaved the top of the tree off, then spotting where she'd be close to coming down, Salvia created another column of force, this time originating from her and toward the ground which dented and cratered as an invisible fist slammed into it, bunching up in a pile at the end of the pylon of pressure. The play of forces back and forth slowed her down, until she seemed to slide to the ground like riding the top of a rail, then rolled forward and to her feet. Quickly sweeping her spear around her she waited for a few moments to see if anything revealed itself.

Silus grinned at what would be his partner for the foreseeable future. He wasn’t sure how what to make of it, she seemed capable if…unused to what he would consider normal behaviour. He grinned “sup short human” He laughed a little as she strode up to him “now now you already know that you can’t because it is my Semblance” He laughed a little “but I’ll show you it in action again today”. He ran his fingers through his hair and shook the last bits of Grimm off his boot “uh…yeah a few of them” he said with a smile before looking down at his small partner before laughing and looking her over. Two swords and no marks from the launch…that means luck or skill. He tapped the side of his head and smiled “guess we should introduce ourselves huh? Silus…Silus Kuroi” He nodded slowly “heir to the Kuroi family and inheritor of our Dragon Semblance…and Dragon Rush” he said tapping his arms encased in metal against each other. He rubbed the back of his neck “sorry…trained conversation starter that my family drove into my head” the smile worked its way across the bronze lips of the Faunus “And you are?”

The distinct sound of beowolfs in the distance roused Parsey to the dangers the forest presented. She also heard the faint sound of one crying it out as it died, and she made a decision. Whatever was over there was fighting a beowolf, and she decided that person would be her partner. She set off at a jog in the direction, and came upon a fox faunus as he killed one of the beowolfs. Parsey made eye contact, then sneered. "Just my luck," She spat, before noticing the last beowolf. Without pausing, she flung out her arm, and ice spears began floating in the air. With a twitch of her hand, the spears embedded themselves in the creatures head and leg joints. She flicked her wrist again, and the icicles shattered in towards where they were stabbed in, showering the animal with tiny needle like icicles, and surely killing it. "I'm Parsey," She said with obvious distaste, "What's yours?" Parsey had the slight urge to add 'mutt' onto the end, but she decided against it. For now pleasantries would be best for accomplishing their goal.

Sighing Nero instantly understood the malice behind the girl's words, he could hear the prejudice in the way she spoke. Well, that was that, at least she could pull her own in battle. "Well,_partner_, a fight is upon us. My name's Nero, that's all you need to know for now." He said, putting his weapons back in their leather straps. "Follow me, it's time to go somewhere." He said, as he put his mask on. "The stench of these baowolfs will be bringing in a whole pack and I think we'll be measured on time." He moved, crouching, through the brush. Taking out one of his blades he began to slash at the foliage to clear the path. He could use his semblance to find the perfect path but he didn't want to use up his aura... Or give away to much. Instead he used it to simply help him to find the fastest way to where they needed t go. Hopefully he would have aura enough for the, inevitable fight at the end.

"Fuck!" Nico yelled as he dodged the Grimm's first strike, he then used his Bat'leth in order to the block the second heads strike, sending him sliding a good distance. The King Taijitu then coiled around Nico in an attempt to smother him, Nico leaped upwards and narrowly escaped the snake's efforts. While in midair, he smashes his Bat'leth into the snake's back, making the Grimm hiss in fierce anger. Nico landed on the ground a few feet away from the Grimm. This is not what he was expecting, this was defiantly harder than he thought, he really wished he had some help at this point in time. But Nico did not have time to hope, the Grimm had recovered from the hit and was now charging at him. Nico jumped over the snakes strike, then using his own momentum, Nico landed on the monsters head. Without hesitation he smashed his weapon into the beasts head and fired. The snakes head immediately imploded, sending Nico high up into the air. While he is in the air, the second head became active and charged up at him. Nico twists in midair and dodged the snakes strike. Falling past the snakes head he smashed his blade into the snakes head and slid down its white body, cutting it in half as he went down the snakes length. By the time Nico landed on the ground, the giant snake's body is in taters. Nico ripped out his Bat'leth and resleathed it, with a audible sigh. "What a fight." Nico mumbled to himself as he trudged away from the carnage that was his own doing. "I really need to find a partner." Nico said to himself. Fortunately, Nico noticed a lone figure not to far from him. Even from were he was standing, Nico could tell that it was a faunas, a wolf one it looked like. "Hey!" Nico yelled at the faunas as he walked over to it.

"Nahbi Cho," she replied. "No title… yet." She wasn't satisfied with his response to teaching her how to breathe fire, but she'd wear him down. Her eyes widened as she took in the metal casings on his arm. "Whoa, that's pretty cool. Man, you've got all the sweet stuff. You breathe fire, you're weapon's sick… I've just got some swords and a lame teleporting semblance." Actually, Nahbi was rather fond of Scatter and Flare. They had cool designs, cool powers, and were lightweight enough for her to swing around at the speeds she liked. But, having seen the weapons of her fellow classmates… "So this should be pretty easy, yeah? Find the temple thing, get the relic, go–" Nahbi was cut off by the cracking of a tree to her left, the earth rumbling below her as it fell.

Nero quickly took control, and Parsey frowned, but went along with it. She followed Nero closely as he cut a path through the forest, studying their surroundings carefully. The occasional chirp of a bird, or buzz of an insect was commonplace, but Parsey seemed surprised by it all. She hadn't grown up near a forest, so it was all new to her. The occasional dragonfly would come to close, and Parsey would look very uncomfortable. She even freaked out when one landed on her, running past Nero and trying to swat it off in complete disarray. She succeeded in getting it off, and looked back at Nero with a red face. "It landed on me," She muttered indignantly before moving behind him again to let him lead.

“Hey” Someone called from down below and a little to the side. Asa flinched and looked round. A boy was walking towards him, a huge, dead, double-headed, Grimm snake’s carcass coiled on the ground behind him. Flicking his tail softly, Asa dropped the few remaining feet to the ground. He had slowly been losing altitude as he ran out of momentum, and now was as good a time as any to come down from the trees. Leaving Tears of Blood unsheathed, he faced this Faunus boy, some kind of big cat, who was to be his partner for the next four years. “Nice.” He nodded at the Grimm, which was starting to dissolve to the wind. “I’m Asa. Shall we find something else to fight?”

Tim blinked himself awake and turned his head in the direction of the nearest window. Sunrise. Most of the students were still asleep. Tim sat up and sighed, rubbing his eyes. He got up and began to pack up his sleeping bag, as quietly as he could. That done, he grabbed his glasses and put them on, then slung the sleeping bag and his book under his arm and tip-toed to his locker. Opening it, he stuffed his sleeping bag into a corner, placed the book on the shelf and withdrew his sabatons. Tim put them on carefully and then withdrew his coat, shrugging it on. He then took out his gloves, slipping them onto his hands. Timothy grabbed the locker door and was about to close it but considered his great sword for a few moments. Tim grabbed the great sword but left the ammo where it was. He wouldn’t need the ammo, but he probably had enough time for some morning sword practice. Tim went out of the locker room and headed over to an open, grassy area. Tim practiced his technique for a little while before breakfast. He wasn’t yet strong enough to wield Carnage with one hand like his sister, but he was able to use it with a surprising amount of dexterity, for a great sword. Practise done, Tim went over to get his breakfast. -------------------------------------- After a short breakfast, it was time. Timothy went to his locker for the final preparations. There was really only one thing to do. Tim grabbed his ammo box and opened it, withdrawing the belt of bullets he had stored. He attached the end to the Carnage’s hilt and wrapped the rest of it around his arm. It was around 200-300 bullets or more, which should serve his needs. That was probably all the preparation he needed. He shut his locker and headed out to the field. ------------------------------------------ Ozpin’s explanation was compact and told him everything he needed to know. Get partner, get to ruins, get piece. Kill things in your way. As the students were catapulted into the forest one by one, Tim steeled himself for the launch. His landing strategy would likely at least partially made of luck, so he needed to be ready. He took off his glasses and put it in his inner pocket. He didn’t want them to break, after all. It was his turn. The catapulting mechanism tensed under his feet. Tim bent his knees and sprang up as it activated, giving himself a boost. He sprang into the air above the forest, hurtling away from the cliff. Instantly, Tim looked for a way to land safely. The tops of the trees whipped by, but Tim looked ahead. There had to be something he could use. As Timothy made his descent, he spotted 2 grimm directly on the landing area. _Good enough._ Tim thought, drawing his great sword. It wasn’t exactly convenient, but it would work. On the forest floor, 2 Ursa loafed around. Tim landed sword first into one of their heads, the force of the fall so strong that the unfortunate ursa’s head was reduced to a mangled mess, the greatsword cutting through the head and halfway through the torso. Tim’s feet planted into the ursa’s body, driving it into the ground. Tim used the momentum to run forward, towards the other ursa, tugging Carnage free to cleave his next target. The ursa roared and swung at Tim, but Tim slid under the swipe, jumping at the ursa’s neck. _CHOP_. The Ursa’s head fell to the ground. Tim landed and put Carnage back onto his back. The battle was over, for now. _Judging from the position of the sun, north is…_ Tim thought. Tim began to head what would hopefully be the ruins. He needed a partner, certainly, but everyone was bound to come to the ruins eventually, and the number of students were even, so he’d probably get a partner on the way. In truth, he just didn’t want to be the one to start the inevitable conversation, but be that as it may, going to the ruins was probably a good idea. Better than just blindly looking around for another person. Tim began heading north, wherever that would lead him.

Nico strolled over to the faunas as he jumped out of the tree in order to meet Nico. He was already skeptical about his partner the second he was able to see him I'm the light. "He already seems like a lot of work." Nico mumbled under his breath. Nico then refocused on the man once complemented his handy work with the snake Grimm and then introduced himself." Thanks, it's harder than it look." I'm Nico." He said holding his hand out for the wolf....Asa to shake." Although I would rather sleep, I think hunting the thinks that would want to kill me is a better idea." He said with a grin on his face. Nico had to admit that he was glad he was not paired up with a human, he would have not minded pairing up with Nahbi, but he would lose his mind he was paired up with a human. Fortunately, he was not," Let's head north." He said a he started to walk forward.

Nero sighed and shook his head at his partner, this was going to be hard. He couldn't use his semblance if she messed him up like that, thankfully she didn't agro any Grimm. "Look, I didn't want to tell you but I'm using my semblance right now and I can't do it well if you distract like that. It's not at full strength, or else I'd run out of aura soon, it keeps the Grimm off our backs. So please just follow me for now and we'll get thare an enough. Then we can do battle, alright? I plan on acing this test, so I'd appreciate it if you cooperated with me." Then, without waiting for a response he spun around and began to walk along to the relics. And he tickled her nose with the tip of his tail, to get her to get going.

"We'll catch a bear and cut his hair..." Zedong's singing was interrupted by rustling in the brush. It was easy to tell that it wasn't anything he needed to immediately worry about. Grimm are not the best at sneaking, or rather they find it more effective to announce their presence before attacking. People fear Grimm, and Grimm love fear, there is no way for them to feed off of it if they kill you before you know they are there. If it was an animal, a simple wolf or the like, it would not make that much noise. Animal is often used as an insult, but animals are smart to know a loosing battle when they see one, so you get the picture. Instead it was a man, a student by the looks of it, and with the locking of their eyes they fulfilled the conditions of the contract and they were stuck with each other, for better or for worse, til graduation do they part. It only took a second for Zedong to decide that he liked this guy. First, he had style, not many people can wear an eye patch and make it look cool, half the eyes mean half the glare, and his eye was obviously trained. Second, was the way he carried himself. His posture was straight and when he walked through the bush, he didn't miss a stride, signs of a man dedicated to physical excellence. But lastly was his weapon, a sword. Weapons speak loudly for a person's style, and Zedong knew full well the purpose of a sword. Spears are meant for attacking, taking down enemies at a distance to leave enough room to maneuver around the battle field. A sword of that variety on the other hand was a defensive weapon, compact and close to the body, making it easier to get into your opponent, inside his defenses. Thought these weapons were complete opposites, together they would compliment each other well. He didn't say much, his mind obviously focused on the job, getting the relic and getting out. With a minor greeting he started off deeper into the woods, either this man knew where he was going, or he was overly confident, either way it was a win for Zee. Making it a point to keep of the pace, Zedong made sure he was right next to his new teammate. "Zedong Swarna, call me Zee though, makes things easier. I'll admit I have no idea where we are going, but if you get me there I'll cook you whatever you want for a month. I'm good for it."

Asa looked dubiously at the offered hand; did Nico really want to lose his arm? Because that’s what would probably happen with Tears of Blood unsheathed. Nico continued, saying something about sleep, and hunting; both of which sounded good to Asa. As Nico walked in what was apparently a northward direction, Asa loped along just behind him, being careful not to skewer him with his claws. As he walked Asa asked a question, one that mattered very much to him, “You aren’t carrying a collar, are you?” Asa didn’t bother waiting for an answer, his ears twitched, as he heard something up ahead. Flicking his tail, he bolted straight for the noise, forgetting Nico completely. A single wolf-like Grimm was in the clearing, as Asa entered, slashing through the thicket of bush blocking his way. Grinning he leapt forward, Tears of Blood slicing the Grimm’s flank. Rolling forward and using his momentum, Asa slid under the beast, slicing at its unprotected belly. Jumping to his feet on the far side, Asa misjudged and caught a claw across the side, he howled and let the wolf in him take over; lunging, slicing, and twisting, without thinking about it. By the time it was over Asa had received another slice, this one across his shoulder. But the Grimm was dead, and Asa, a lone figure in the middle of its carcass. Shaking off the single-mindedness, Asa finally remembered Nico and looked around to try and find him.
