For Alpha? Anyway, got a post coming up. Everyone satisfied with how things work? If so I'll just stick the whole crucible there instead of a single piece and get ourselves to Cynosure. Also, a detail I forgot about Cynosure is it's constantly changing as universes align with it, so don't expect any kind of map. Not that it matters.

Whole Crucible will be giving nine upgrades for newcomers, by the way. Original plan was that half of the crucible to give three, then three more pieces giving two each. Veterans get five upgrades from the entire Crucible. If you guys feel like we need one more world, though, new guys get three upgrades, vets get two. You know what, we'll get the entire Crucible and head straight to Cynosure.

So hey, Bee, since the finale came out looking a bit weird I edited my post so Ganondorf doesn't have to clash with a lariat which would be pretty dumb, lariats can only look good clashing against other lariats to see whose arm gets messed up. Might want to edit your own post so it reflects the change and we can have a cooler ending. Did this yesterday night but then got caught up in other stuff so I didn't post in the OOC till now.
well you're the first to accuse him of powerplaying for the year the character has been in the roleplay. Is it really affecting anything? I don't see it doing anything to disrupt the roleplay.
As of right now, it's not affecting anything, not beyond letting his character get to a fight he otherwise wouldn't be able to reach. Doesn't mean I don't see it as trying to either justify character concept as a reason to get powers a character doesn't actually have listed (well madness entity so he gets to do this explanation) or turning an ability that is described as having more limited and specific applications into a blanket power for doing whatever with no explanation given. I'm not calling for a re-review, for the character to be banned or punished IC or anything of the sort but, you know, it's something I caught on. Please, feel free to tell me I'm wrong and how.

Looks way, way better than before. Personally not a fan of blue and gold, but that aside it's a lot less cluttered and the blue and gold is used to draw attention to specific parts rather than just be thrown around all over. Looks fine to me.

Okay so: we find the entire MacGuffin in one place to start with, get a boatload of do-anything, no limit upgrades that feels like we're blowing everything we have right off the gate leaving zero room for actual legitimate progress, get to Cynosure and then what?

If you feel like it'd be better I can reduce it to three for new guys and two for vets in total. We'll be having a few posts in Cynosure, then move on to the First Age when it aligns with the city.

Yeah 3 and 2 sounds good. I mean from the way you made it sound it feels as though vets should get less but the powerlevels seem even enough that 3 and 1 would be more like screwing over returning players, so yeah, 3 and 2 sounds best. As for the First Age, okay, but if we get all the Crucible now you're pretty much completing the entire questline laid out in the first OOC post right out the first world, so I sure hope you've got something else thought up to justify the characters doing things. Also I sure hope we're doing away with that real multiverse-digital multiverse distinction, it was rather senseless.

Already have. It's why I've been saying digital universe instead of digital Multiverse, or just Cyberspace. We're also starting the next plot arc we'd had planned in the first run, where we'd essentially be working to take down the antagonist avatars that will be getting their thread soon (with Phaaze taking over from the entity Freedom, who will have been taken down as the first plot point in the second arc as well as the final one in the first arc). I'm also getting the properly named thread up once I finish up the post to get us out of Cyberspace. I essentially rushed the first one to completion so we can move on to the second and end up where we would have been if it had lasted just a little longer the first time around, only with Phaaze being replaced by Dark Samus.

I'd take 3-2 over 9-5, honestly.

3-2 it is. Go ahead and submit your upgrades here if you want, unless you want to wait for the new thread. Grimjack's not getting any this time due to not being present when the energy was distributed (and he doesn't have enough crucible exposure to get any even if he were, but world totems work differently so he'll be getting stuff from there). Kalama's at his maximum power, so he'll never be getting any upgrades.

Protags, I'm doing this so the thread title doesn't imply the old lore still applies, and they don't do thread name changes anymore. Antags get their thread if this can last for another world, so I can make sure it won't die again. I don't think it will, but I want to be sure.

Okay so for upgrades how's this sound: -Relentless: Ajax will chase you down and fight you, no matter where you go. He can now fight to the best of his abilities anywhere. The sky, deep underwater, the void of space, anywhere. He's able to ignore things such as lack of gravity and oxygen or magical effects of specific planes, anything that might render his attacks less effective, letting him operate under normal conditions. -Perfect control: Ajax is able to perfectly exert and manipulate the force his body could produce at any time as long as he can move a single muscle, allowing him to create a large variety of kinetic attacks with even greater ease. Attacks done in this way still benefit from his ability to let his body affect things it shouldn't be able to. -Immovable: By taking on a pose that tenses his every muscle, Ajax becomes anchored to a relative point in time and space. At the cost of sacrificing any manner of mobility and direct offense, Ajax becomes immovable and gains the ability to reflect attacks off his body.

Deadpool gets his immortality, but i added this: Deadpool is no longer scarred. Deadpool can choose whether or not to wear his costume, if not he can also choose what clothes he wears. Pretty much harmless aesthetics

Zero, could you include a cooldown on Immovable? I'm worried it could end up abused otherwise. I'm not saying I don't trust you to not abuse it, but I'd appreciate having that happen just to make sure. The other two are perfectly fine, it's just that one I'm a bit worried about. EDIT: Also, I just noticed the big "Edit" button up top that let me change the thread title, so no need to make a new thread, thankfully. EDIT 2: Guys, we're not quite in the beach, just on the edge, right outside of the sector that just phased out of alignment with Cynosure.

Maxwell's Upgrades: Master of Puppets: Can make puppets of almost anything he can think of, preferring carnival-based puppets like strong men and clowns. These puppets are actually much more durable than maxwell's personal ones. Dimensional Being: Is able to bring things to and from dimensions much more easily using his shadow/light hands. He also is able to easily move between dimensions, and is aware of every dimension in existance.

Right then, so I shall do mine then. Manifest Destiny: Rattlesnake Jack is encompassing more than the wild spirit of the Wild West, but he contains its desire of expansion, and the formation of towns. So far he can only currently summon a Saloon, known as the Snake's Den. (which currently does not serve alcohol, but only Ginger Beer, Sarsaparillas and Milk. Serves very cheap and tasteless barbeque.) This Saloon, which Jack can spawn at will, is the spawn location for members of Jack's Posse. Jack which he can collect a limited amount of members per world he visits on his travels. Once selected as a Posse Member, they spawn in the Saloon, where Jack can retrieve them to help him do various tasks. When Rattlesnake Jack summons his saloon in a selected area, it (currently) can't be re-summoned on that world at a different location, but can be dismissed.
    Current Saloon Posse Members
  • Moe Le'Coir: A Bartender who has no other discernible skills besides maintaining a bar. He dresses in lavish attire, has a rail-thin frame, and a thick mustache and full head of hair.
  • Green: A Business Scrub, Rattlesnake Jack collected from his time on Hyrule. He has two abilities of note, shooting Deku Nuts (a rock like projectile), and the strength to move boulders. This strength only appears when pushing or pulling objects.
Horse With No Name: Rattlesnake Jack's trusty horse. It is a rather durable creature surviving in many environment types, and can take much damage thrown against it. Alongside that it is an incredibly fast creature, much like Rattlesnake Jack, but which goes twice as fast with each foot-step. Rattlesnake Jack can conjure his horse to come and stay at will. Guise of the Snake: Rattlesnake Jack can shape-shift into other creatures and forms. Though, so far he can only turn into other humanoids. He can do it instantaneously, which is more prone to leaving mistakes which people who are familiar with the person can notice, leaving it a less effective disguise. Or, he can do it through a lengthier process, much like a snake shedding its skin, which guarantees a perfect copy of the target. But the process can be quite harmful for Jack.
