ok, guys..redesign again. input please.
For Alpha? Anyway, got a post coming up. Everyone satisfied with how things work? If so I'll just stick the whole crucible there instead of a single piece and get ourselves to Cynosure. Also, a detail I forgot about Cynosure is it's constantly changing as universes align with it, so don't expect any kind of map. Not that it matters.I'm fine with leaving. I wanna see everyone's upgrades anyways.
well you're the first to accuse him of powerplaying for the year the character has been in the roleplay. Is it really affecting anything? I don't see it doing anything to disrupt the roleplay. As of right now, it's not affecting anything, not beyond letting his character get to a fight he otherwise wouldn't be able to reach. Doesn't mean I don't see it as trying to either justify character concept as a reason to get powers a character doesn't actually have listed (well madness entity so he gets to do this explanation) or turning an ability that is described as having more limited and specific applications into a blanket power for doing whatever with no explanation given. I'm not calling for a re-review, for the character to be banned or punished IC or anything of the sort but, you know, it's something I caught on. Please, feel free to tell me I'm wrong and how.
ok, guys..redesign again. input please.Looks way, way better than before. Personally not a fan of blue and gold, but that aside it's a lot less cluttered and the blue and gold is used to draw attention to specific parts rather than just be thrown around all over. Looks fine to me.
Not that it matters. Whole Crucible will be giving nine upgrades for newcomers, by the way. Original plan was that half of the crucible to give three, then three more pieces giving two each. Veterans get five upgrades from the entire Crucible. If you guys feel like we need one more world, though, new guys get three upgrades, vets get two. You know what, we'll get the entire Crucible and head straight to Cynosure.Okay so: we find the entire MacGuffin in one place to start with, get a boatload of do-anything, no limit upgrades that feels like we're blowing everything we have right off the gate leaving zero room for actual legitimate progress, get to Cynosure and then what?
If you feel like it'd be better I can reduce it to three for new guys and two for vets in total. We'll be having a few posts in Cynosure, then move on to the First Age when it aligns with the city.Yeah 3 and 2 sounds good. I mean from the way you made it sound it feels as though vets should get less but the powerlevels seem even enough that 3 and 1 would be more like screwing over returning players, so yeah, 3 and 2 sounds best. As for the First Age, okay, but if we get all the Crucible now you're pretty much completing the entire questline laid out in the first OOC post right out the first world, so I sure hope you've got something else thought up to justify the characters doing things. Also I sure hope we're doing away with that real multiverse-digital multiverse distinction, it was rather senseless.
