Yeah... this whole "Human factions are all regulated by some random dude in the RP" isn't working out. Do we want to keep that whole thing, or get rid of it?

The 5th better have some good explanation on how it came to be then :/ I am all for freedom of choice but you have to admit that there are a few problems with it. If they're a splinter group that originated form Sol, it would invalidate Duck's entire history, something he put some work into for a change. Given these are early space nations, It doesn't make sense for it to be done in secret - somebody would definitely miss even a single FTL capable ship. ANd I'd rather not see many more interdimensional and any time travelers.

One way to make a splinter group is simply a sabotage of an FTL capable ship by terrorists or something, which caused the possibly-a-colony-ship to go way off course and keep going until it smashed into a semi-habitable moon or planet, in which they started over from scratch because they were stuck. Like something from a Christopher G. Nutall book, or like the game Rimworld.

@Mattmanganon You've got a couple of broken pictures. Weirdly, they work if I copy-paste the link into my address bar. Specifically, they're the Levinti male appearance and the Kellicus-class Air-space Fast Attack Mecha.

I find the concept of military-by-senate endearingly bureaucratic (which is a [good?] thing).

...anyway, I was starting to get a little alarmed by the planet-ship, but was relieved to see its planet-busting superweapon completely and irrevocably destroyed as well as no motivation to remake it. Plus, you know, you don't have FTL. So that helps your case. Accepted.

They do have FTL, but they rarely use it. Only really using it for scouting ahead of the rest of the fleet, or branching out to look for signs of their lost race. And, of course, for looking for dead planets to mine.

As far as what you've missed, not much OOC other than the usual heated ranting in the Chatzy, and only a little of that. And quite a lot of very much Off-Topic conversation.
IC, I don't know either; I don't keep up with things that aren't directed at my own species. The only thing I've got is that, much to my disappointment, the Ennedi are still dead. #RIPEnnedi

Yeah man, like what @RomanAria said, you're fine. At least you won't boot someone off the RP because of some subjective offense or because something happened a few years ago. That said, I still can't wait for your reply :)

Also, guys, my wifi is sketchy here (I'm not at home and won't be for the next 7 weeks or so), so I won't be as active as before, as you guys probably noticed (or not, considering I'm just a minor player amongst like 20 of us here)
