The Cuyahoga winds through Cleveland then into Lake Erie

Lake Erie; I just love that name in a Zombie RP, not to mention that the Cuyahoga Caught on fire a few times in the past

Sorry for my short/grammatically incorrect/not well researched/generally not up to snuff posts, I had to take my laptop in to get fixed so I'll be posting from a phone or tablet for a while - my first post had the misfortune to be off a phone :/

Also, if horses have any place in this RP, I'd be more than happy to supply any information regarding care or gear or riding/driving technique - I own two horses and compete on a rodeo circuit (mostly barrel racing, pole bending and goat tying when allowed) as well as having trained in jumping, dressage, western pleasure, and a tad of driving, so yeah *shrugs*

Error What Happens When Mahz Screws Up Coding

<-- Has no 'combat' experience either. More like a few childish brawls involving a brick to the back of the skull (which is why I'm deaf on the left side, btw).
-So you're on your own if people start shooting at you through cover. I do know that if you let someone with a battle-rifle too close to you, they can send a bullet through a tree-trunk or sandbag and right into the person behind it.

@Error Thompson reproduction?
Even back in the 1940's, the Thompson (all versions) had a known issue of breaking and being an utter pain in the ass to fix when people where shooting back. Especially at night.

Worked great when it worked; a full ammo-drum doubled it's weight up to that of a loaded M1918A4 B.A.R. though.
(.45 ACP isn't much lighter than a .30-06 round, just smaller and MUCH less powerful [has issues penetrating cover])
-It was often fired from the hip because firing it while standing from anything other than a benchrest was an utter pain.
(stick-mags are the exception, which btw, the dovetail-groove complicated reloads but were necessary to keep the magazine aligned before magazine-wells were developed)

Also, due to the machine-gun 'ban' of 1936, privately-owned Thompsons (and replacement parts) are rare since the reproductions weren't allowed to have parts-commonality to the originals and existing ones are nearly non-transferable.

A semi-auto-only version is still pretty deadly in the right hands, though.

Note to others:
A Ford Transit (truck) is a box-van/cube-truck.

I know about what I am doing, given that he only has it since it has a wide spread of fire. He is supposidly part of the mob so could get a hand on some weapons. Also bare in mind he isnt in england and is still in america.

<Snipped quote by Error>

once you finish it up with personality and back story you will be accepted. We got a mobster in the house. Also how much ammo do you have for your machine gun by chance? Its a tad much for zombies since no silencer but I will allow it if you don't use it all the time.

I am done. Also as a side note I rarely use machine guns in zombie rps, always tend to us use the M1 or a pistole.

Back Story:

Weapons: Customized Mosin Nagant, straight-bolt with side-slung scope, dat bayonet, a 3/4 length #3 fire-axe, and a folding-shovel.

Vehicle: Well, there was a car. But that ran out of fuel in the first month. Ended up 'liberating' a horse + carriage from an abandoned Amish farm that didn't get the warning in time.

Just a point, he hasnt finsished his back story, he also mentioned a horse. Now, I take part in country shows, I run them and compete. Horses are fucking hard to ride, you are litterly on a animal that gets spooked at everything. This is a apocolype, your horse is almish, it rarely hears guns so it would bolt. If you say "Its get used to it" then I draw this, "The Walking Dead" is centered around how everything is gone, that horse would be eaten, already stolen or shot. Also you found it a month ago, given how rare gun fire is it wouldnt see action for days at a time. You cant train it with warning shots as you have to conserve ammo.

I was referring to the American NFA act of 1934 regulating the trade, possession, and manufacture of Title II firearms, such as autocannons, machine-guns, and anti-tank rocket-launchers.
-Not saying it's impossible, just saying that all those American Youtube videos are of people with ridiculously clean criminal-records and about several grand to blow on legal fees if you so much as scowl at them. And not complete foreigners with extensive mafia connections.
-Yes, even FPSRussia. We don't just hand-out m'f'ing tanks to crazy people with Russian accents without doing our homework first.

Also, error, check the entry in the character-page, is different:
Name: Wilson Taggart | Age: 25 | Gender: M

Personality: Careful and precise, despite a reckless fatalist attitude. His altruistic tendencies have generally meant a good reputation. His wary shrewdness however stems from a long history of people who take advantage of his generosity.

Back Story: Factory-worker and trained first-responder; Taggart is also a bit of a military-reenactor, not only fascinated with various collections, but also the how and why it was used and designed in order to get a better understanding of history while also learning some useful survival-skills.

Other: A bit of a history-buff/survivalist. Is moderately deaf and severely blind on the left side. Stocks a rather surprising amount of medical supplies. Enjoy our cuisine, I did mention he knows how to cook, right?

Also, I'm aware of the issues with frightened horses. There's several reasons why Taggart wanted to leave the horse behind when checking the airfield, you listed a few of them.
-Other notes:
  • The horse is amish, you don't ride them, ever, they pull carriages. Unless you like getting kicked in the head, that is. The concept is almost entirely alien to them and their reaction to a 150 pound man mounting them like a horny stallion is likely be very negative.
  • Horses on their own make quite a bit of noise, a horse & rider is quite tall in the woods of the ORV (likely to become a "headless horseman" if the stallion goes nuts), and a carriage just makes that so much worse.
  • Horses, when they aren't frightened, tend to get way too curious if left unattended in unfamiliar surroundings. Especially when hungry.
  • When traveling at night with a horse, you're probably going to have to get out and lead the horse by the reigns.

Also, Taggart found the horse slightly after a month into this mess, not just one month before the RP starts.

Heh, "a month ago"... No, one month after the start, we're one year into the apocalypse. They've been with each other for 11.

Yes, but we should probably keep it down so themadhatter and her zombie-pets don't hear us cajoling.

I'll also stipulate that maybe someone in the mafia is a semi-competent enough gunsmith to convert a repro into an automatic either before, or very shortly after the outbreak.

The M1928 model of Thompson with the drum is still hella heavy piece of kit. Fully loaded, it wieghs about 30 pounds, have fun with that.
-Meanwhile, this is an M60, it weighs less. At least until you load it.
